all the credits are on the wiki!
🎉🎉🎉THE FIRST EPISODE (and probably last) IS OFFICIALY DONE🎉🎉🎉
To me, this was mainly a way to experiment what kind of format I want to tell this story in. Will I do a more edited version? Absolutely, bloopers too probably, but it is what it is now! Thank you so much fo all the people who gave me their voices for this, they were really lifesavers!

The Tempe train disaster on 28 February 2023, which claimed 57 lives, exposed critical failures in Greece’s railway safety systems and sparked widespread allegations of a cover-up. Despite repeated warnings from railway workers, key safety upgrades were never implemented, and investigations have since revealed political interference, missing evidence, and potential fuel smuggling on the freight train. Two years on, mass protests, new forensic findings, and fresh legal battles continue to fuel demands for justice and accountability.

if english is not your f/o’s first language…
imagine them rambling about how much they love you in their native language
maybe they’re drunk, or half-asleep, or just talking to themselves
whether or not you can understand them, you can feel the love and adoration in their words
do you find it particularly attractive when they speak a different language?
do you make an effort to learn their language so you can understand and communicate with them?
or maybe you’re the one helping them improve their english?
or is this whole scenario reversed, with you primarily speaking a foreign language, and your f/o helping you with your english?
oh, and don’t forget to imagine any cute pet names they would call you in their language!!
regardless of any language barriers, you and your f/o love and understand each other more than anyone else ever could <3

Unsolicited Miraculous Ladybug Headcanon: Adrien Agreste doesn’t know how to properly pronounce his own name. Sure, he SETTLES with one, but on a theoretical level, he has no idea with what intention he was named with.
Mind you, it’s not even because of anything nefarious— he just had two very different nationalities for parents. The French and British pronunciations were used interchangeably, because Emilie and Gabriel often argued on a daily basis about how Adrien is ‘supposed’ to be said. (Have you ever seen an Englishman and a Frenchman argue about culture? It’s thermonuclear.)
Ah-dree-uhn vs Ay-dree-uhn is a battle that has been waged within the Agreste household for years
(Based on a very real conversation I had with a English-French person named Adrien on my trip to France)
#Adrien in French is a VERY different vibe to Adrien in British#i will not be silenced#but alas what did i expect#Note: I am British and I will NOT be sharing my views on the name in fear of my life#if you know you know#miraculous#mlb#miraculous ladybug#memes#gabriel agreste#miraculous memes#adrien agreste#emilie agreste#miraculous crack#crack post#english#french#names#pronunciation#incorrect miraculous quotes#head canon

Do you guys ever think about how Badrien just doesn’t talk. He’s absolutely silent the entire time when he doesn’t have his miraculous. Like when he was handcuffed on the ground he didn’t ever say anything. When Marinette asked if he knew her he just shrugged. Literally the only things I remember him saying was Plagg, Daggers Out. He only ever spoke to become Claw Noir.
But when he was transformed he was talking non stop. He was taunting everyone, his allies and his enemies, even by himself he just played with dolls and talked to himself.
And I just kind of think about this a lot
#ml spoilers#ml paris special#miraculous ladybug#apparently he said something in the French dub#so he might have also said something in the English dub and I just missed it#so take this post with a grain of salt#but the overall thing that he is a lot quieter than claw noir still stands i think

The attraction of Eleanor of Aquitaine to post-medieval historians, novelists and artists is obvious. Heiress in her own right to Aquitaine, one of the wealthiest fiefs in Europe, she became in turn queen of France by marriage to Louis VII (1137–52) and of England by marriage to Henry II (1154–89). She was the mother of two of England’s most celebrated (or notorious) kings, Richard I and John, and played an important role in the politics of both their reigns. She was a powerful woman in an age assumed (not entirely correctly) to be dominated by men. She was associated with some of the great events and movements of her age: the crusades (she participated in the Second Crusade, and organized the ransom payments to free Richard I from the imprisonment that he suffered returning from the Third); the development of vernacular literature and the idea of courtly love (as granddaughter of the ‘first troubadour’ William IX of Aquitaine, she was also a patron of some of the earliest Arthurian literature in French, and featured in one of the foundational works on courtly love); and the Plantagenet–Capetian conflict that foreshadowed centuries of struggle between England and France (her divorce from Louis VII and marriage to Henry II took Aquitaine out of the Capetian orbit, and created the ‘Angevin Empire’). She enjoyed a long life (she was about eighty years old at the time of her death in 1204) and produced nine children who lived to adulthood. The marriages of her offspring linked her (and the Plantagenet and Capetian dynasties) to the royal houses of Castile, Sicily and Navarre, and to the great noble lines of Brittany and Blois-Champagne in France and the Welfs in Germany. A sense of both the geographical and temporal extent of Eleanor’s world can be appreciated when we consider an example from the crusades. Eleanor accompanied her husband Louis VII on the Second Crusade in 1147–9; when Louis IX went on crusade over a hundred years later, he left France in the care of Blanche of Castile, a Spanish princess and Eleanor’s granddaughter, whose marriage to Louis’s father had been arranged by Eleanor. Just this single example shows her direct influence spanning a century, two crusades and three kingdoms.
— Michael R. Evans, Inventing Eleanor: The Medieval and Post-Medieval Image of Eleanor of Aquitaine

ways to make duolingo useful
1. jump units
in the new "tree" all the new vocabulary is in the first lesson, then duolingo makes you study it for like a week if you're lucky, so if you're confident you've learnt all the new words just jump to the next unit (I also find myself remembering my mistakes better if I make them while trying to jump than when I make them in regular lessons)
❗after jumping always come back to the stories you missed, they're like the most useful thing there is in the app
2. use other resources
I know this is a post about duolingo, but people, mostly beginners, seem to think that they only need duolingo to become fluent. my mom has a 700 days strike and she still can't keep a simple conversation in english or understand an episode of fucking teletubbies, that should tell you everything. read content for beginners, watch youtube videos, tv-shows, use other apps, I promise the owl won't kill you for it
3. stop when it starts slowing you down
trust me you don't need to use duolingo when you're intermediate, it's just not worth it. leave it for the days you can't study properly and want to do at least something
