Eddie would be the dad to shave his mustache and freak the kids out. Imagine they adopt and raise a baby together. Eddie kept his mustache for a few years before finally deciding to shave it. So he's in the bathroom, Buck is cooking, and Chris is playing with his baby sister in the dining room. He comes out, brandishing a towel and everyone turns and he's like "ta-dah!" with a smile and his baby girl's face drops and she starts to sob, Chris is like "good job dad you made her cry" and Eddie's looking for Buck to back him up but the big man is also crying.

I believe Bobby is coming back from the dead because I think we deserve to live in a world where Kenneth Choi gets to act his ass off by playing a simultaneously relieved/joyous and angry/furious Chimney, who feels like he has to thank Bobby, but also scream at him until his throat is sore because it wasn't fair to make that decision! he's going to say they should have played rock, paper, scissors and Bobby will chuckle because he thinks he's joking like silly haha Chimney, but Chimney is like "no, we should have discussed it, you died and I didn't even get to say thank you. you died and I owed you a debt I didn't even know about. you let me carry that" and he has to wrestle with the guilt of knowing that Bobby would do that for him, not just theoretically, but actual concrete proof that Bobby would die to save him. which they all know on some surface level that they'd die for one another, but it feels like such a far-off concept until it isn't. but Chimney also has to deal with the gratitude because Chimney is also so incredibly thankful that he didn't die. every step of the way he wanted Ravi, Bobby, Buck, and Athena to commit crimes, because he loves his life and he wants to keep living it. he's so overjoyed that he got to go home to his wife and kid, and that comes with its own guilt because how can he be so happy to be home when Bobby DIED. does that make him a monster? that on some level he's HAPPY that Bobby did that? and now he has to FACE Bobby. so he tries to be the Before Chimney who gets people whimsical gifts, but how do you give someone balloons about choosing your life over theirs? and he spirals because he's different now and Bobby is here and he has so so much he wants to say but all of it feels contradictory and unfair and he would normally go to Bobby for advice. so he does. he goes to Bobby and he says "what would you do, if you were in my position?" and Bobby just says "whatever you need to say or feel, I understand" and that just makes Chimney even more upset because what he needs is for none of this to have ever happened. its like they all got a re-do, but kept the memories and the feelings and now he has nowhere appropriate to put them. anyway, Bobby lives and we get Chimney angst yay <3 forever and ever.

How in love do you have to be to argue that Eddie would never do something illegal when you know for a FACT he was in an illegal fight club

can we talk about how Eddie "clicked" with Tommy and started hanging out with him all the time and not once tried to include Buck? not even for trivia night - that Buck would surely love (and Tommy definitely wouldn't mind him joining) - because he needed a babysitter that night and his girlfriend was not available.
and then Tommy noticed how Buck was feeling excluded and went to talk with him to clear things out. and they had an honest, open, adult conversation about it.
there's such a stark contrast between Tommy and Eddie's way of dealing with Buck and I just wonder if it was on purpose (to showcase the boyfriend/partner dynamic vs the best friend/sibling dynamic) or if it was just a complete accident.
and with Tim Minear? either option is just as likely.

in Confessions Buck does not have any idea that Tommy is breaking up with him because of his huge, undefinable feelings for Eddie that he does't know he has and then Buck, not knowing that Tommy has seen Eddie as competition for Buck's time and attention and affection and intimacy, goes directly to Eddie's door the minute Tommy leaves him, quite literally proving that all of Tommy's fears are true. yay

in my little fantasy world where buck moves into eddie’s house while he’s gone, buck keeps referring to everything as eddie’s (i’m at your house, i’m on your couch, i’m in your kitchen, etc), and eddie still hasn’t figured out his feelings but he finds this strangely frustrating. one day eddie finally corrects him (buck, it’s your kitchen), and he means something like “it’s our kitchen,” but he hasn’t found the words for that. and of course, to buck, it sounds like a confirmation that eddie’s never coming back.

*Taps microphone* Buck entering a depressive episode after Bobby's death. Buck putting on a brave face and not going to see Maddie because he knows she'll see right through him. Eddie getting home and waking up one morning to Buck crying silently over the coffee machine. Buck insisting that everything is fine but then something small happens like he burns dinner at the firehouse and all of a sudden he's losing his shit because he just can't save anything or anyone huh. He can try and try and try and it still goes wrong again and again and again.

idk, the bts seems suspect to me. like you mean to tell me that THEE bobby nash is dead and buck isn’t being carried down the street sobbing and wailing? not one member of the 118 is crying? we’ve seen how Ms Angela Bassett gets down (getting nominated for an Oscar for portraying a grieving widow and mother in a marvel movie???) and yet we don’t see none of that here? not to mention, the show just made a whole big deal about bobby reconciling with his estranged mother and brother this season and we didn’t see them there?
peepaw’s fine yall he’s just napping let him get up

The way I would pay good money to have Eddie celebrating dia de los muertos rather than Halloween especially with an episode called masks and the symbolism of the sugar mask around regeneration and rebirth

Made a post a while back about how we should utilize Buck stealing more in fics but now I desperately want a fic where he keeps stealing things from calls.
If he’s not doing a rope rescue or the call isn’t high-energy enough, his mind starts to wander and apparently, his hands do to.
He doesn’t really even notice he’s doing it.
He’s not taking anything too serious or expensive which is why it probably takes a while before anyone else notices. But then one day, Bobby’s doing an inspection of their turnouts and finds a bouncy ball in Buck’s pocket that he specially remembers seeing at their last call.
A couple days later, he spots a Halloween decoration that was definitely at the school they responded to earlier that day. Then he finds more stuff in Buck’s locker (including things from his teammates) and is confronting Buck about it.
Buck seems just as baffled as Bobby does because, “I don’t know why I’d take that.”

what if Ravi, after a whole day of listening Buck talking about Tommy, is the one that tells him: "Call him. Please, just call him."?

You know what gets me? The fact that Buck was so fucking pissed at his parents and was taking it out on the punching bag yet when Eddie places a hand on the punching bag, Buck stops mid punch. He's so in tune with Eddie and his movements that he catches the move while he's fucking pissed and stressed and goes oops can't hurt the boyfriend by accident. Also the fact that Eddie knew Buck wouldn't accidentally punch him . The fucking trust he has.
