AITA for outing my father at his old job?
I (M22) recently got a job hauling hazmat across the US in a semi. I had to take tests to not only receive my CDL, but to know what to do in case of an emergency when hauling things like explosives, flammables, corrosives, etc. The hazardous material part of the test was done on computer on site, however if you fail they let you log in and try again from home. But I passed that part right away because I already knew everything that would be on the test.
My father (M53) worked the same job for the same company and when I was in middle and high school, and pressured me into taking the hazardous material test for him so he could get the job. His reasoning was he had been out of school for so long he wasn't good at studying for tests, but I was used to it. Plus he was dyslexic and ADHD (both true), and he would probably fail the test no matter how many times he tried it because he couldn't read well or pay attention. I said it was probably important for him to know this stuff since it IS hazardous material, but he said he DID know everything he needed to, he was just bad at tests. And that if I didn't take it for him he would fail, and then he would be unemployed, and then we would be out on the street and it would be my fault. So I studied his hazardous materials booklet front to back and took the test for him and he passed.
It didn't stop there, though. With this job you're also required to take refresher safety courses online every week, and you can't get your next assignment till you pass. He used the same argument to get me to take those tests for him every week as well, until I knew everything about the placards and hazmat and road safety etc better than he did.
The trainer (M49) I was assigned was friends with my dad when he worked here, and said something like "If you're as quick a study as your dad then you'll be our best driver," and I said something like "I've been your best driver for almost a decade, you just didn't know it." He asked what I meant and I told him how I was the one taking those safety tests for my dad every week until he quit 3 years ago, and actually he quit because I was moving out and I said no to coming over to his house every week to keep taking the test for him.
I told the trainer because A) I thought it didn't matter because my dad didn't work there anymore, and B) Honestly? I've never really gotten along with my dad, and some part of me wanted to tell on him for one of the many things he pressured me into doing as a kid. I expected to make him lose a friend, maybe tarnish his "perfect" reputation a little bit, but it's gotten a lot bigger than that.
My dad doesn't work with hazmat anymore, but he did have a job delivering food to nearby grocery stores that he apparently lost because that trainer called and told his boss what I told him, and my dad called me and cussed me out and said because of me he probably would lose his CDL and not be able to be a truck driver anymore, and that's all he knows. He's not exactly rich, either, so he's probably just a couple missed paychecks away from being in serious trouble, and he also lost his health insurance. I for sure didn't mean for it to go this far. AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Hello!
Your ‘A Rock and A hard place’ book is one of my favourites! I wanted to request a Kokushibo version of it in a chapter.
Thank you! <33
Here it is. I'm not sure myself if it's cannon or not. If you need a refresher on what the demons look like with tails and pointed ears look at the link. This takes place between the time Akaza and Douma were released and when they eventually found their way back.

The squeaking sounds of the cart sounded out between the sounds of squeaky rubber boots and the rattling of objects inside the cart as the janitor pushed the cart of cleaning supplies down the halls towards their destination. Every so often a person in a lab coat or security uniform would pass the person in the full rubber hazmat suit and mask and ignore them or wave or give a friendly nod. If they were nice and greeted them then they'd greet them back.
"Mornin'," a security guard on patrol greeted briefly as they passed by each other.
"What's up?," their muffled voice greeted back with a nod as they passed without another word.
The rattling cart still made their way down the facility to a specific hallway that was in need of cleaning, or more specifically the rooms connected to that specific hallway. The one that was currently being  evacuated except for only a select few staff. You being one of those staff members as you pushed your cart on over to the entrance way to the hall and paused by the familiar white haired man having his arms crossed and a stern expression on his face.
"Hi, Sanemi," you greeted muffled by the mask you wore. "How'd the extraction go?"
Said head of security rolled his eyes with a grunt. "Typical. It took like ten tranquilizers to put that dam thing out before we could get it out."
That's right. You heard that they were removing the demon they called 'Drums' because of all the drums somehow lodged into his body. He had been found in an abandoned mansion and it took five recovery teams to bring him in to study, not because he's dangerous but because he was able to move around his environment. He was absolutely large but his nature was surprisingly gentle and he liked playing his music for the scientists who interacted with him and showing off things he wrote when provided with paper..but it was in a demon language no one understood. He's been here for a few months and the director wanted him released to make way for newer demons to study.
That's why you were here. You were going to clean up his old cell before the new demon was placed inside it. Honestly you weren't sure you wanted to be back here after the incident with Akaza and Douma three weeks ago...but you were tired of cleaning bathrooms and unclogging toilets.
"Well at least he'll be happy to finally be going home. I'm just gonna go in and clean up his cell."
"Sure. Knock yourself out."
You wheeled on by him and into the familiar hall. Very few people were there, only three. You and two other people in Lab coats. Scientist or researchers you weren't sure but you recognized one immediately by the firey red hair. His head turned seeming to already recognize the squeak of your cart and immediately beamed.
"Y/N, MY LOVE!!", Kyojuro shouted loudly making his partner jump in response as he turned to you arms out in greeting. "You're finally back!"
Slowing down to a stop, you beamed behind your mask at the doctor you were going on a few dates on. "Well I did tell you that I'd be switching back after a while. The two demons causing me the headache are gone so there's nothing to worry about."
He hummed, brows scrunching in unsureness but slowly nodded. "I suppose so, but I would highly suggest being careful from now on. We'll have to update our watch on the volunteers more closely from now on to make sure this doesn't happen again."
"I'm sure it won't. Besides it's all fixed now so no harm done." The only evidence of what happened to you was just some notes taken for research purposes and the two scars those demons left on you. A dark stripe on your palm, and a frost like pattern on your forearm but you could always get them medically removed with a skin draft like Kyojuro suggested. You haven't made a choice on that yet though. "I'll just go clean up the cell and finish up. Ok?"
"Of course. If you need anything else just shout."
Smiling you pushed your kart away as he turned back on the demon they seemed to be studying. One that looked like a young child except he was all white and seemed to be playing with some toys left inside. You paid them no more mind as you continued to push your kart to the very, very back of the hall and stopped by the cell with the open doorway. This was the one you had to clean up. Wasting no time, you stopped you cart and reached out to pick the broom out of your cart and go right inside. The cell was like the others, big but at least this one wasn't too dirty. Most of the litter was just crumpled up papers, crushed or shortened pencils, and half eaten food scattered everywhere.
Whelp you knew the drill.
Sweep. Mop. Clean the giant window on both sides.
Exactly what you did. Sweeping everything up before getting out the mop and bucket of water and cleaning up the space. That was fairly fast. It wasn't until you were cleaning up the giant window that you noticed something was a little off. As you sprayed and then wiped the cloth over the thick glass. As you wiped the window you had the unexplainable need to look through the window to the other side and paused.
There was a demon in plain sight of you.
Through the window you were cleaning you were able to see the cell on the other side and found yourself staring face to face with another one of them. A demon. But like Akaza, Douma, or any other demon you'd seen in the time you've been working here, he looked completely different. I
Intimidating. At least six inches taller than Douma and extremely built by the looks of him, but what you were most stunned about was the SIX eyes staring down at you. Reddish scelera in a similar way to Akaza's was broken into pieces by veins with golden eyes. You both continued to silently stare at one another before you just went back to cleaning the window. Pay no attention to it. That's what got you in that mess in the first place. You ignored the creature as you cleaned the window and then moved to clean the outside. But you still felt it's gaze the entire time. By the time you turned back around, you were surprised to still be staring at this creature.
The demon said or did nothing as you both stood there awkwardly as you slowly moved to your cart, and realized something. While you had moved, it's eyes didn't follow you. In fact his gaze didn't follow you at all, all six eyes staring straight down at the floor. It was then you realized that he hadn't been staring at you at all. Curious, f/c eyes looked down through the protective goggles you wore to the floor only to see what this thing was staring at. On the floor was from crinkled papers that must've fallen out of your art when you cleaned up the cell. On it was some language you couldn't understand but it seemed that this demon was staring at the words.
Was it..reading them?
"....Do you like reading those?" It made no move to look at you even as you slowly reached up to remove your mask and hold falling to your shoulders. "You like to read?"
Finally it moved..Sorta. One of his eyes moved. The top left one moved to turn to you and stared. You still stared at him before slowly walking around your cart and slowly pick up the papers. Now you had it's full attention as all eyes moved to you as you picked them up and looked the writing over carefully before turning up to him. Smiling before walking up to the window and holding them up.
"Here. Is that better?"
It offered no response still looking you over before going back to the papers. The eyes going half lidded and calm as he stared at the two papers you held. You guessed that was a yes as he continued to stare at them..Or you assumed that it was a he. You couldn't be too sure with demons.
"Y/n?" Said woman's head turned to Kyojuro as he approached you quickly in question. "What are you doing? Are you done?" The footsteps stopped up on seeing the six foot something demon standing calmly at the window eyes going wide. "What on earth is going on?!"
"Oh. It's ok." You held up the papers. "He just wanted to read these. I was holding them up so he could see-" you stopped when you turned back.
The demon was gone from the window. Instead he was now in the center of the room in the process of sitting down on a tatami mat back turned to you both. He was calm when he sat down allowing you to see his pointy ears, and a long tail swishing behind him. In a similar fashion to Douma, it was long with a tuft of hair at the end that matched his hair he wore in a long ponytail. Neither of you said anything as Kyojuro came to stand next to you in astonishment looking inside the cell before turning to you wide eyed.
"How were you able to make contact with Six?"
You turned back to him. "Six?"
"That's what we nicknamed him because of his eyes," he explained. "But he's never done that before."
"Really?" He shook his head swaying orange locks. "How long has he been here?"
"We brought him in about three months before your incident." His eyes calmly flicker back to the cell and the demon that sat completely still. "He was found deep in the forest not too far from here in a nature reserve, he was living in an abandoned cabin and lived almost completely like a human in the olden days. The director thought it'd be a good opportunity for studying their habits of mimicking human livelihood so we brought him here for study, but he's not done anything but sit there and eat food when we give it too him. Otherwise he completely ignores any interactions with us."
"Maybe he doesn't like humans?"
Kyojuro sighed. "We figured that so we tried putting in another demon in with him for study purposes, but he completely ignored her too. Too bad. She was actually a very well behaved demon so it's not like she'd cause any fights."
"Oh..."
 You looked down at the papers in your hands, raising a brow at the strange writing on it. You had no idea what Drums wrote or what it said because you didn't speak or read the language but perhaps this demon was interested in reading. Maybe Drums wrote something interesting Six liked? You weren't sure but for some reason you were curious.  Didn't matter. You shrugged it off, threw the papers in the cart trashcan, before bidding Kyojuro goodbye and carting off. The job was done anyways.
However it wasn't to last.
Maybe it was because of the last encounters. Maybe it was because of the fact you started to need the extra money again for bills. Or maybe it was just stupidity and curiosity but you needed the money again. Bills were starting to crawl up on you and the money you had saved up from your meet ups were starting to rapidly deplete. So you had two options. Either go back to getting cheap ramen noodles almost every night or go back into the program. ..The answer was obvious but it also came with a problem. After what happened you were pretty sure Kyojuro wouldn't like you volunteering for the M.C.M.A.R.R program again, but it's not like you had a choice. So instead of him you sought out the only other doctor you knew-
"I want to volunteer for the program again. I-.. I-I need the money."
Shinobu stared at you from where she was filing paperwork in a cabinet, that neutral smile still on her face. You'd found her late one night while working and cornered her awkwardly with your request.
She blinked at you still smiling. "Sure. Anyone can volunteer but does Kyojuro know you're doing this?'
"Eeeehhh...Not yet." You confessed looking away and rubbing your neck. "I figured he'd see me once I'm there next Wednesday."
"Kyojuro doesn't work with the M.C.M.A.R.R anymore though. They moved him to the behavioral department on mermaids." Her head tilted. "So you'll be paired up with someone differently this time."
"Oh. That's fine. Let's go sign you up then."
That's how you nervously found yourself nervously standing in the hall again after your shift on Wednesday despite Kyojuro's firm objections to you returning. Shinobu must've told him however you've already made up your mind. You slowly shuffled in looking around nervously clutching the book in your arms at the multiple security guards, scientists, and volunteers walking around talking to demons or taking notes of the entire thing. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. But then again you wouldn't be putting yourself in danger again. It was just until you could pay back your bills.
"Y/n?" You jumped and whirled around behind you coming face to face with a black haired man in a lab coat. "Whoops. Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." He smiled at you. "I'm Doctor Murata and I'll be your researcher for however long you decide to remain with the program."
A slow sigh escaped you. Calm down. There's nothing to worry about. "Oh. Right. Ni-Nice to meet you."
"Likewise. Are you ready to begin?" You nodded and he looked at his clipboard. "Hm. Let's see. You're going to be interacting with Six today." You blinked. Six? As in the demon you saw a while ago. Murata turned. "Follow me and we'll get to it."
Hesitantly you followed Doctor Murata down the hallway past other researchers and volunteers, and you gazed at a few speaking to the demons. It was pretty harmless but you knew that they had to be more careful from now on. He brought you a the same cell you saw a few weeks ago and peered inside. There he was, Six, sitting down away from the window as usual. His tail curled up at his side in sleep or meditation you weren't sure.
Doctor Murata smiled looking at you and nodding to the window. "Ok. Go ahead and try to interact. If he doesn't do anything don't feel too bad, he's usually ignoring us anyways but he we still have to try. Recently I was informed he was reported coming to the window and sort of interacting with a janitor but it was brief and he hasn't responded to anyone or anything since."
You stared at him. That janitor was YOU. How did he not know that?...Well you assumed Kyojuro was the one who reported it so he probably kept your name out of it to avoid them asking you to come back to interact with Six. He was a sweet boyfriend. Slowly you looked back to the window and in where Six was silently still sitting. What should you do?..Well guess you should try and get his attention first. Raising your hand, you wrapped it against the extremely thick glass window. TAP. TAP. TAP. TAP. No movement was made except for his ears flickering a bit before they stilled....but nothing else happened. Well..at least he knew someone was there? You exchanged looks with the doc who was quickly writing something on his clipboard and looked back up to you expectantly.
You sighed heavily before looking back to the window and balling your fists to bang on the window louder despite him still not moving an inch. "Hello? It's me again."
You really weren't expecting anything to happen..and to be honest nothing did at first. He still did nothing but sit there leaving you to sigh and look at the doc again who only hummed and wrote something on the clipboard. The demon moved. Head tilting to look over his shoulder and stare at the window..Oh well. On the bright side if you were just interacting with a demon who did nothing but ignore everyone then it'll be easy money- You froze. A chill suddenly running down you spine and you looked back to the windo-
You gasped jumping back as six eyes stared down at you. The doc looked up and also jumped as the towering form of Six stood tall leering at the both of you. Your heart pounded as you stared at him. His calm half lidded eyes staring at you and the doc vigorously writing on the clipboard. Calm down. So he moved. He probably just recognized you and came over out of curiosity. A few inhales and you calmed yourself down enough to awkwardly smile up to him.
"Goodness. You're pretty fast aren't you?" The demon provided no answer as it still looked at you. Guess he wasn't much of a talker. Pushing it aside you slowly held up the book in your hands making him look at it. "I saw you reading the papers earlier. Does that mean you enjoy reading?" No answer. "I brought this and thought maybe you'd like to read more."
He didn't respond to you at first just staring at the book. On the cover was the title 'Ghost Stories And Folklore Takes by E. Gadd' and you picked it out on the bases of.. well this thing was a demon. Maybe you were wrong but you still pushed on, choosing to open the book and held it up for him to read. This was ridiculous. You didn't even know if this thing could read English. But to your absolute SHOCK..Six calmly looked at the first page, before slowly lowering to sit on his knees and started to read the words on the first page.
'Down in the world unknown there laid a kingdom drab and dark. Where darkness and shadows collided and lived in fear and power. One would be mad to even think about stepping in a place like this. Where the dead are gone but still there, the shadows played and roamed and full of terror. A frightful place brace heros dare not venture unless they wish to meet a tragic fate. Yes. This one place was alone ruled by a power hungry spirit, spited by his love in life and now seeks vengeance on any mortal who dared be foolish enough to be beckoned into his awaiting claws.
The creature of vengeance was known as one of promises and dealings. Whether If one were to want something most dear to their heart and was determined and pure, or if their heart was filled with greed, envy, and lust he would grant your reply if you were brave or stupid enough to find him. It was when one day a child from a nearby village heard of this rumor that they were excited to find out if it was true or not. Against their parents and everyone else's wishes and warnings, the small child had snuck out to venture into the forbidden dark woods. The brambles scraped and left cuts on their body, the creatures chased after and threatened to eat them if they didn't turn back now, for darker and more sinister things slept in these woods, but bravely the child went on. On and on on their journey to really see this sinister ghost who granted wishes and promises that the mortal eye would repulse to believe. Until the sinister avenger had been found and the massive shadow beckoned the child closer with a boney rigged hand.
"You have traveled far and withstood the tests my forces forwarded. For that you have earned the right to one miracle granted to you. But a warning you have also earned. Be warned, with a pure and honest heart comes great rewards. With a heart who bleeds nothing but black with greed and jealousy, a foul end you shall meet. Think about the consequences greatly, for the repercussions shall be swift and tight. Think well, dear child."
The small child dared to smile at the creature and simply reply, "I have no need for any treasures or anything of preciousness near me. I solely only wished for to see myself if the avenger of shadows was a true sight. And now that I have seen you for what a true being you are, I will simply be leaving satisfied my wish was fulfilled."'
Six sat there still before those eyes calmly looked back up to you expectantly. Was he waiting for something? F/c eyes looked at the book.. before turning the page and he just simply kept reading. Murata stared at him stunned.
"Remarkable! The demon can read human language! This is a massive breakthrough!!" He furiously scribbled down on the clipboard as you kept holding up the book as Six calmly continued to entertain himself.
'The answer of the child amused the ancient spirit and he chuckled his hollow laugh at the very notion of it all.
"Wise answer to an otherwise difficult mortal choice. For that you shall still be granted a prize for your efforts. Name one and answer wisely."
The small child as said had no need for such items like treasure and fortune, but they knew that the child's hard working mother were in need of some fortune in her life. So with a kind heart, the child looked to the spirit and asked for their miracle. "My mother works oh so hard to take care of me. It would be so nice for her to have just a little more luck on her side. Oh spirit, let me repay her for all her kindness she has shown me."
"Your wish shall be granted. A selfless act is always it's own reward, but be wary of those who wish to use those fortunes to their own will."
The child was permitted a safe leave back to their home and as promised their selfless act of kindness was granted by the spirit of shadows. The child and their mother mysteriously found an old box in their pantry one day that they had never known of before and upon opening it discovered many, many priceless jewels. The likes of which they had never seen before. With this new found fortune, the mother and child were able to gain a plentiful farm with all the necessities they needed to have a plentiful life. Farther down in the years the mother even remarried one of the strongest most handsome men in the small village. But this man was nothing but green with want, and treated the mother and her child terribly.
He was lazy, rude, and had a heart full of greed. Seeping of those who had better and helping him in life. But one fateful day everything changed. For one day he asked the child's mother a question.
"My dear wife. You know I love you dearly, but I must ask you. Where did you receive such wealth and fortune."
"Why, from a old wooden box in the pantry," she replied happily, "And inside the little wooden chest was gems and riches beyond our wildest dreams."
"Yes, yes! But where did it come from?"
"I know not how it got there or where it came from, but my child and I are oh so happy to have received such a delightful fortune. How we may live happily for a long while."
Her husband was displeased with such an answer and once again asked but this time to the child. The child happily told the man his venture into the woods and his encounter with the spirit of shadows, filling the man's heart with more greed. That very night when the family slept, the man snuck out and made his own way into the deep woods of shadows and fears. Brambles cut his clothing, he cursed those who dare chase him and snap at his hinds as he ran, but the greed and lust in his heart was strong. So strong he persisted his heart green with envy. Alas finally he arrived and looking as though some creature had mangled him with their claws. The spirit was beckoning him closer with a bony rigged hand and spoke.
"Oh one who's heart is sewn with greed and plight. You have sought me through danger and fright. Your actions of greed are inexcusable but like many before you have made it through the path of darkness. For that you have earned the right to one miracle, but also a warning. Be warned, with a pure and honest heart comes great rewards. With a heart who bleeds nothing but black with greed and jealousy, a foul end you shall meet. Think about the consequences greatly, for the repercussions shall be swift and tight. Oh one who comes to me with a black heart for his own wishes. I offer this to you so you may choose your wish wisely."'
......Six looked at you again patiently waiting and you again turned the page for him to continue reading.
'The man paid no attention to the wise words of the ghost nor did he think about any real consequences for his actions as he spoke what he oh so desired.
"Give me more riches than any man shall have!! Make my fortune one who will make me a fortunate man!! A bright castle and beautiful jewels is what I seek and most desire!!"
"A answer I foresaw and one your shall have for not heeding my warnings. Oh man of greed and selfishness, you shall indeed have your wish awaiting you home. But do not be surprised when your unfortunate fate you shall unevitably meet. Now be gone creature of greed. My domain is not fit for one of you."
The man left for his home and once his got there his had his miracle in the form of the purest black horse with a magnificent couch of ebony, inside the couch was boxes and jewels of every imagining. The man cared not for his wife or the young child that he had left behind, away in this marvelous new couch he received and off that horrid man went into the night with his shouts of greedy glee and pleasure as his family long forgotten. The mother and child awoken to no greedy ma plaguing their lives and while the mother was quite saddened, she still had the child to watch after. As luck and fortune does benefit those with kind hearts, another man the mother sought and a kinder man she got. With a much kindness to her and her child this man gave to combat the sorrows left behind by the other greedy filled one. One day a message they did receive, about a much bigger estate of land and riches. The greedy man who had once left them behind without a second thought, was now no more as the spirit's warnings he did not need. As fate had decided he would be no more, a swift and tight end he did get. Leaving everything he valued behind of jewels and gold, to no man but a woman he did not care for. His wife and next of kin did receive, fame and fortune for kindness indeed. With kindness in their hearts the family did grow, and with it came all lucky and fortune soon to glow.
For those with kind hearts and bright minds, often find themselves on the favorite end of fate's hands.'
Six continued to sit there patiently before looking at you again to turn the page to the next story. Smiling you gently turned to the next page to Murata's insistence as he gleefully began to not down more notes and excitedly beam to himself about this major breakthrough. You hadn't been there for an hour when you thought it'd be best to call it quits and stand up catching the sitting demon's attention back onto you.
"I have to go now but I'll bring the book back next Wednesday -," you explained placing a bookmark between the pages and closing the book, "-and then we can finish it. Ok? Then I can bring you more books to read when we're done with this one."
Six said nothing as he stared at you before calmly standing up and leaving. Just like before he just sat down going back to ignoring everyone. Murata was absolutely ecstatic looking between his notes and you.
"This is exactly what we were hoping for! Demon's might be able to read human language!! Will you be coming back next week?!"
You smiled nodding at him. "I sure will. I definitely think this is something I can handle."
Oh how fate had different plans for you.
Kyojuro was VERY concerned about you and looked you over as soon as you two had som time together, sighing in relief once he saw you were ok. Once again trying to talk you out of it but unsuccessful because you decided to go back next week to finish reading the book.  It went like that for the next few weeks. You'd stop by every Wednesday after your shift and join Doctor Murata in sitting down and holding up the book for Six to read. After the third visit, Murata was nice enough to provide a chair for you to sit in as you held up the book and turned the pages.
At the doc's request, you tried talking to him and get a response..but he ignored everything you said in favor of reading. The only time he'd pay you any attention was to look at you indicating he wanted you to turn the page. At least he wasn't going crazy like the other two demons, if anything he was calm. However Murata would want you to start a different task soon.
"Would you be willing to do an in person session with Six today?," he asked you.
You blinked at him as you stood there. Sherlock Holmes book in hand as Six was already sat at the window waiting for you to open the book. "You want me to go on there with him? Are you kidding me?"
Murata shook his head. "No. There's a reason to it."
"And that is?"
"He only interacts with you. We've tried doing some outside tests giving him books and trying to have others read to him but he never interacts with us and he never reads any of the books we place in his cell. For some reason it's only you."
"I-..Look. I'm perfectly fine with sitting with him while he reads but my boyfriend would freak if he knew that I stepped inside with him. Plus ... it's kinda dangerous."
"Not at all! Six's temperament is actually very gentle. He hasn't done anything to any of the researchers who's been in his cell or when we give him food."
"Look. There's absolutely no way I'm going-"
"A thousand dollars bonus will be added to your paycheck each in person visit."
"....."
You flinched as the metal reinforced doors opened up a few inches, creaking loudly, and just enough for you to squeeze in. Hesitating you looked back to Murata whom gave you a thumbs up and big smile before you turned back forward and took an inhale. It's not like last time. You remembered a little fearful of the demon inside. Douma was clingy and crazy and Akaza was aggressive and territorial. Six was absolutely calm and outside of your reading sessions showed absolutely no interest in you otherwise. He didn't even bother to look at you while you on your normal shift cleaning up the cells and halls. Kokushibo was different.
You pushed your head inside to look around and instantly spotted the demon staring at you from where he still sat down in front of the window. After a moment he stood up and started towards the center of the room. Once he did he continued to stare at you as you shimmied your way in and stopped. Jumping when the door closed with a giant sound. The two of you stood there staring at each other for a long while until you started moving further into the room. Shuffling closer and closer until you see a yard away from him. You both stared at each other before he looked at the book you held.
"Th-This is Sherlock Holmes," you explained to him, "This man goes around solving mysteries and bringing bad people to justice. You'll like it I think,Six."
He said nothing but allowed you to kneel down and opened the book. Like before he didn't say anything but just read the book you held as you nervously sat there until you were able to get out, breathing a sigh of relief as you were finally able to stand on the other side.
"That was incredible! I think we should continue with the in person sessions from now on and see how it progresses from there!"
"Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Trust me! With your record of interactions with demons, this ought to be great!"
"That's not reassuring."
So it continued. You started doing in person meetings with Six, making Kyojuro go nuts for a few weeks but there wasn't really anything he could do about it. Six hadn't literally even talked to you and just continued to stare at the books you held. After the fourth in person session you finally relaxed and got used to him. He literally did nothing so it was safe, plus your bank was great!! However Murata decided to be a genius once again and decided to push the demon forward. By presenting you a certain way.
"You want me to do what ?"
"Where this kimono." He held up a white dress.
"You're out of your mind! Why would I wear a kimono in there?"
"Because I want to see if his behavior will change if you wear a similar style to him. His clothing originate from traditional Japanese fashion, so perhaps some familiarity will provide more engagement from him."
"So...I just got to wear the dress? You guys are really-"
"You'll get two thousand instead as bonus compensation."
"...."
Six stared at you wide eyed and surprised as you walked in wearing a traditional pretty green kimono with your hair styled up. With a grimace you shot Murata an annoyed look through the window but he only gave you a thumbs up. With a sigh you turned back to Six only to help finding the demon standing up and before you. You stared up at him silently as he stared at you, before slowly he circled you. Walking around you all the way in a circle as you turned your head to follow him..
"Hm."
You jumped again. His him was a deep voice, curious... before he just went to go sit down like nothing happened again. From then on Murata wanted to try proceeding with different kimono dresses he just randomly ordered online some were plain ones while others were more detailed. Each one got a wide eyed but calm look from Six when you visited him, the pink one with long sleeves and cherry blossoms seemed to really please him as he hummed. However you were taken off guard one day when he was staring at the book.. before your hand was snatched up and you gasped loudly as he grabbed your wrist, before turning your palm to face him and saw the rectangle mark Akaza left on you. He was silent as he stared down at it before looked at you again.
"Oh... That's.. Th-That's a mistake." You managed to pull your hand from him to clutch your fist. "Someone.. Someone marked me without me knowing and..a -and well I don't think I'll be able to get over it."
He said nothing as you clutched your hand but he did go back to looking at the book allowing you peace. However peace with this demon would not last long. You did the usual routine of bringing a book and Murata handing you a dress to get dressed in, this one white with a hood you hadn't really seen before but shrugged and put it on anyways. No big deal on your end. However when you stepped inside where he was already waiting, his expression was very different.
Six eyes went wide in shock at the dress you wore, smiling at him from under the hood on your head. "Hello, Six. Sorry I'm so late. I had to get ready for our meeting."
He said nothing at first before getting up and then slowly starting to walk over to you. You said nothing at first assuming he wanted to examine the dress again but you weren't prepared for him to reached out a clawed hand to gently grab a strand of your hair, gently running it along his fingers before taking in your visage. Eyes wide open before they softened.
"Six? What are you doi-"
"Kokushibo."
You froze. Eyes going wide as he took the chance to grab your hand. "Wha-What?"
"My name-" He spoke perfect human raising your hand to his mouth. "-is Kokushibo. My wife."
Your mouth fell open as his lips kissed the back of your hand and a second later the sting of his thumbnail cutting into your palm hit you. You squeaked out in pain pulling your hand from him and clutched your fist. A moment later you opened it and to your horror a cut was on your other palm and on it was the shape of an eye. Your world went still as you just stared at your palm then at him as he smiled at you.
Panic flushed through your veins before to his surprise you turned on your heels and RAN back towards the doorway. Squeezing your way out and back into the hallway in a panic. Murata immediately came up to you with a concerned look until he took saw the cut and blood on your palm.
"MEDICAL ATTENTION!! WE NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION!!"
Everything after that was a blur. You were whisked away to Obanai to have your hand looked over. Multiple people were questioning you about what happened. Kyojuro showed up. A rare state of absolute fury as you could hear him RAGE at Murata because-
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING?! YOU PROMISED ME YOU WOULDN'T SEND HER IN THERE!! WHY WAS SHE LEFT VULNERABLE LIKE THAT?! AND WHY DID YOU THINK SENDING HER IN A WEDDING DRESS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!"
"I-I didn't think it was a wedding dress!"
"YOU WEREN'T THINKING AT ALL!!"
Wedding dress? Your stomach felt queasy and you couldn't say anything when Kyojuro finally came in to look at you deathly calm and stern.
"You are NEVER going to volunteer to the program again. I'm going to ask the director to release Six right away, but until then you are NOT going near there again. Do you understand what I'm saying?" You nodded guilty. "Good. Now get changed. I'm taking you home tonight."
You made no objections to him and was honestly tired so you allowed him to take you home and didn't mind him talking to the director about releasing Six... Kokushibo?? Whoever he was. You decided that demon from now on were NOT for you. You'd much rather clean up the aquariums where the mermaids were kept instead.
You stayed FAR AWAY from the demon wing from now on back on bathroom duty(which you hated) but you were at least happy when two weeks later Kyojuro confirmed that Kokushibo/Six was taken away to be released. He made you PROMISE him no more demons as they seemed to be attracted to you. You were happy to agree and settled down as the days went flying by.
However you didn't know the bigger problem awaiting at home just for you.
You were called in to double shift for a few coworkers a couple times that week so you were pretty exhausted from it all. You stopped by the grocery store on the way home and just barely was able to balance three paper bags in your arms and unlock the door, not noticing the window busted open. Pushing it in and then closing it behind you. Tired eyes just passing by the living room and crossing into the kitchen.
You passed by a man sitting on your comfortable fluffy rug and reading a book from your shelf. Clink- A small teacup clinked as he gently took a sip before he gently placed it back down and started reading the next page as if the woman didn't walk past him.
"Good evening, Dear."
"Hi." Your tired brain automatically responded without a thought as you placed the bags on the table.
"What are you cooking for dinner?"
"Tonkatsu and rice balls." Again you responded automatically just tiredly reaching into bags and setting things up on the table.
"Ah. A simple but delicious dish."
"Uh huh."
You passed by the doorway towards the stove with a package of uncooked rice. Step. Step. Ste-....Tired eyes suddenly blinked open wide nearly bugging out of her skull...Feet slowly turned around and walked back towards the doorway. Step. Step. Step. Half her body leaned back out of the doorway...Thud. A bag of rice fell from her hands and fell to the floor with a loud thud seeing the figure of a VERY tall demon sitting on the floor of her living room in a meditative state, one hand holding a murder mystery novel as the other gently lifted the teacup back to his face which was mostly obscured by long burgundy bangs. A long tail flicking every now and then.
You still stared at him before he calmly turned to stare six eyes at the rice bag. "You dropped our dinner."
"W-What are you doing in my house?!"
"Spouses do tend to share a home." He simply turned back to his book. "Finish dinner and then we'll discuss the arrangements further."
"Further arrangements?!"
"Yes. I've noticed that you have a spare bedroom that's empty. I'd like to convert that to our children's nursery."
"CHILDREN?!"
"Yes. I've always wanted a large family however I'll be just fine with one as well."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" You held up your hands showing off the marks. "Look..Six-"
"Kokushibo."
You sighed. "Kokushibo. I think there's been a really big misunderstanding between us. We're not...spouses. I was seeing someone WAY before I even met you."
"The demon spouses that abandoned you."
"No! They were misunderstood too! I wasn't flirting with them! Or you! I already have a boyfriend and I'm not interested in you or them or anyone else but my boyfriend. Do you understand?"
"Yes. I just don't care." Your mouth dropped open. "Why don't you cook dinner and we can talk things over then?"
"I just- ..You...UGH!! YOU DEMONS ARE DRIVING ME INSANE!!"
"I find madness attractive," he stated bluntly making you gawk at him. "You still left the rice on the floor."
You didn't know what to do or what to say. It's not like you could just walk up to Kyojuro and be like 'the demon who flirted with me is back and is living in my house believing were husband and wife'. He'd go nuts! You could loose your job! The facility might even decide to study you both as a part of their stupid program. So for now you decided to keep your mouth shut until you could figure something out.
But unluckily for you things were about to get even MORE complicated.
"I'm leaving for a while," Kokushibo spoke to you one day before you left for work. "I have a few things to settle at my old home before I permanently move in. It'll take a while so expect me to not be back for a while." Then he had the audacity to kiss your lips before leaving. "Do not fret, Moonlight. I'll return as soon as I can."
It was hard to explain to Kyojuro why you were angry blushing all day at work. As if to add more to your bad luck the next two weeks were also filled with double shifts because some of your coworkers got sick suddenly. It was one of those days you had to do a double shift because a coworker called in sick. Stupid chickenpox. You ended up having to clean up the entire research lab by yourself! You didn't even get home that night until around nine! By then the sun at already set and you were exhausted. So exhausted that you just walked up to the door and didn't bother to notice it was busted open until you held up your keys to unlock the door and went to grab the door knob only to freeze as it swung open wide with a creak from you lightly touching it. You froze as your eyes stared at it. Noticing the claw marks on the wood, and the busted lock..And then looking into the darkness and freezing up as two rainbow orbs stared at hou-
"LOVE!!"
You shrieked as something rushed from the darkness and the keys fel from your hands as you were snatched up into two strong cold arms. You screamed again looking up into the face of-....You paused. And blinked.
"DOUMA?!"
The blonde demon cooed squeezing you more against him earning a growl from the darkness. You snapped back into the dark only to freeze again seeing-
"AKAZA!?"
The pink haired demon GLARED at the blonde one as he stepped out of the doorway before hissing something at the blonde in demon tongue. Douma blinked, looked over, before gaining a sultry look. He cooed at Akaza before puckering his lips and leaning forward- Akaza SQUEALED OUT in a way a woman scared of a mouse would and stumbled back into the house away from Douma who only paused.. before cooing again at Akaza's indignant hiss. You looked between them before reaching up a hand to rub your temples.
"I'm in deep shit."
Then something even WORSE happened. A tall shadow fell upon all three of you causing sll of you to turn to the doorway and standing there in the darkness was the unmistakable figure of Kokushibo. Akaza immediately hissed taking a protective stance and Douma just tilted his head curiously.
".....What is the meaning of this?"
"Let me rephrase that. I'm in REALLY deep shit."

Hazbin Hotel Bake Sale🧁🍪
Tumblr media
The 🌈Hazbin’s🌈 are having a bake sale! Last time it was a vendor fair!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charlie’s in charge of the ticket station & offering a lil taste of what the fair has to offer(aswell as pilot reference with the cupcakes), Vaga’s got her own booth this time, selling semitas, a lil treat from her home🇸🇻, Razzle n Dazzle r helping sell the family brand🍎🍏, Angel shares some sweet cannoli, Niffty tries her hand with some Japanese Taiyaki & dango 🍡 , Husk & Baxter find themselves in yet another feud as they handle refreshments, Sir P shares some High-Tea treats & Alastor shares New Orlean’s classic beignets, that’s doing way better than the last vendor fair. Guy def needed the ego boost after that fall.
Husk-Ok the science experiments were one thing but this is getting kinda personal.
Baxter-Hey I tried to bake something but the guys in those hazmat suits took away all the stuff I was trying to bake for “research” & “protection of my & other’s health & safety” & all that rubbish! This was the best I could make do with!
As you may have noticed, a lot of the gang went for stuff that connects to their roots!(Vaga-El Salvador, Angel Dust-Italian American, Niffty-Japanese, Sir P-British & Alastor New Orleans. Razzle n Dazzle r technically also doing that). 🇸🇻🇮🇹🇯🇵🇬🇧⚜️🍎 I like to imagine Baxter was going to make something from his origins🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 too, like Dundee cake or shortbread before he had to make do with lemonade 🍋
I can def see Charlie allow others to partake in the bake sale too like the vendor Faire!
What do u think? What could u imagine the hazbins(ether that be canon or your own takes) serve for a bake sale? I’d love to know💖🧁

The boys when they get sick
Tumblr media
Angeal: insists he's fine until it really kicks in, then groans the biggest, baddest, saddest, daddest groans known to man for the next week.
Genesis hires a nurse for him because he refuses to get anywhere near that mess. Angeal feels this is unnecessary, but can't find the energy to argue and lets it happen so as to at least not waste the help. Genesis also offers to read him to sleep OVER THE PHONE, HEWLEY.
He's mega depressed the whole time and rots more than he might if this wasn't how his father had died.
Sephiroth shows up with a vat of specially formulated cafeteria slop because he read that friends bring each other healing soup when they're sick. Angeal thanks him and muscles through eating as much as he can, even though it is vile and he feels queasy. Sephiroth goes away proud of himself for nailing this social interaction.
Zack bounces over, a little nervous, a little too enthusiastic, a little too chatty...but he notices the cafeteria slop, replaces it with what his mom coached him to make over the phone, and promises Angeal the slop will not go to waste. He secretly feeds it to his pet wererats in the slums.
Tumblr media
Genesis: it's a national emergency and Angeal has to work from home to tend to him.
Genesis requires fluffed pillows, hand holding, and babying to a truly epic degree. Angeal indulges him because he was there during Gen's sickly childhood: during the scarlet fever that almost killed him, the pneumonia that almost destroyed his lungs, the bug that nearly dehydrated him to death, and many other ailments that always hit little Gen extra hard.
Sephiroth stops by with his vat of slop and Genesis informs him he is kind, but Genesis is too ill to partake at this moment; perhaps later if the spectre of death ceases to whisper his name. Sephiroth asks if the spectre ever calls Genesis her child and Angeal and Genesis raise some eyebrows.
Zack was proactively banned from the premises at the first sniffle, so he sends his trooper friend with Mama Fair's soup and orders to accidentally spill or steal any cafeteria slop. Cloud doesn't know how to act around all these firsts, so he waits until midnight, breaks into the apartment, removes the slop, and leaves the soup. Zack is proud and unsurprised at his cunning, and Angeal is bewildered.
Angeal doesn't question it too hard--cafeteria slop is a health hazard, and if it's gone, it's gone. Plus, he recognizes Mrs. Fair's handiwork and makes a mental note to lecture Zack later and check in on his friendships with the Turks.
Tumblr media
Sephiroth: zombie mode.
He's not sick. Being sick would mean reporting to Hojo. He is Not. Sick.
He's fine.
Everything is fine.
Angeal: Sephiroth, why are you telling my ficus that you are healthy?
Sephiroth, still talking to the plant: Sephiroth is fully operational. All systems fucktioning. Go. No maintenance required. Mission reedy.
Angeal: Ok, new mission: sleep on Angeal's couch until you can focus both eyes at the same time.
Sephiroth, still talking to the plant: Mission accepted, thank you Mr. President. *Passes out on the couch for 19 hours, wakes up refreshed*
Tumblr media
Zack: makes it everyone's problem, but insists he'll be fine and everyone should stay away. While he sits on the SOLDIER break room couch wrapped in blankets and sniffling up a storm.
It's fine, Angeal, you don't have to make him your super special soup that only you can make because he's so sad and sick. 🥺
Don't worry about it, Sephiroth, the slop can be given to hungry pets in the slums, Zack's just a little too tired right now. 🥺
Genesis, it is a little dramatic to wear a full hazmat suit. Zack's sitting in a public space, not your private office. 😒
Yeah Cloud, that's the best fucking popsicle ever, but don't get too close, Zack might be contagious (after Zack hugs him). 🥹
Tumblr media
Cloud: doesn't say a damn thing.
Muscles through infantry work until he passes out and is thrown in medical until he can stand again, then sent out until he passes out a second time.
Zack finds out later and moves heaven, earth, Angeal, Genesis, and Sephiroth to ask some hard questions about treatment of the infantry staff while force-feeding Cloud soup.
Genesis wants to know why clearly contagious troopers are allowed out of isolation while still clearly contagious. Angeal wants to know why the company is wasting human resources instead of caring for them to prevent rust, dust, and plague. Sephiroth wants to know if Heidegger would like to tour the barracks and discuss things over a hearty bowl of slop.

Questions About Being Emotional
I cried watching a TV show. The entire episode was stressful.
Featuring: Cody, Wrecker
Word Count: 1.4k
Tumblr media
I think I've mentioned somewhere in a post before that I'm starting to binge on a new show. Criminal Minds. It's about a team of FBI profilers against serial killers. If ya know me I'm a true crime enjoyer (please don't let that be a red flag). Came back to Disney+ for Andor but some of these legendary shows aren't doing a very good job to restrain me from watching them anyway. Maybe I'll start watching 911 or Grey Anatomy sometime later.
Tonight I was binging again. I'd been doing so for the past, what, four... five days? On Season 2 right now so I thought there would be spoilers ahead as I went on. Helix had squawked his concerns (which was surprising because it was usually Kix who did) but I took a full glass of water to quench his raging medic exasperation.
So Criminal Minds is good. Watching a lot of Insider and WIRED videos in related topics should be considered self-learning. I could just pinpoint some inaccuracies here and there. No hazmat suits when entering a crime scene. Arms dead straight when holding a gun. Ideal gun handling (please don't put your hand under the mag) and osik. You don't do house raid entries like that, everything's too rushed. The Deltas and the Corrie dudes shouted along with me as the characters made these mistakes. Fox was especially livid. I lost count on how many Sev growled, annoyed. It was messed up, but hey it's fiction. It's my new fav now, so I had to go out in there to defend some of its aspects. Blorbos and the dynamics between them, for example.
Ever the smart guy in the group, Spencer Reid wasn't quite like Tech. Both were geniuses, but Reid could read 20,000 words per minute and had an eidetic memory and I liked his voice so he was easily a baby. He was a gem.
So when this one episode involved him kidnapped and tortured by this serial killer with dissociative identity disorder whose one of his alters was his own abusive father, I couldn't handle it.
And I meant I survived watching, but it was suspenseful as kriff. It wasn't even about the antagonist hurting my favorite character anymore (or actually everyone's favorite character because as I was watching this one with the command batch and the sergeants they agreed they liked Reid), it was about how much longer Reid would hold under pressure. Even Cody shuddered beside me.
The episode ended with Reid still showing a bit of mercy to the killer whom he shot, dead. Credits rolled. I noticed that almost everybody was already gone, leaving only Cody and Wrecker. I didn't even know how Wrecker got there. Maybe he snuck in after Hunter excused himself sometime ago.
"Where's everyone?" I asked, sniffling.
"Getting refreshments. Fresher." Cody looked a bit surprised at my question. "Boss and Wolffe went to coordinate neighborhood watch with Fox's Corries."
"Neighborhood watch," I chuckled. Really sweet of them. I was just letting them do their own thing because I wouldn't know what to do with restless clones. Maybe I could use the vigilance, too. "Yeah okay. Appreciate it."
"You okay?" Wrecker rumbled next to me. His larger stature than me and Cody combined was a warm presence I always welcomed. "You don't look okay, y'know. Wanna talk about it?"
"It's about Reid. For her that episode was hard to watch," Cody said, getting up and stretched. His face then fell quickly. "Ah, I'd love to grab you some tissues now, but... Y'know."
I nodded. Incorporeal bodies and all. Couldn't touch stuff. "Yeah that's okay." I wiped my pooling tears away. "I don't need them. Just need a minute."
Wrecker shifted a bit, as if uncomfortably. "And I'd love to rub your back right now."
I smiled as I paused the show as it began to play the next episode. I bet my smile came out crestfallen judging by Wrecker's eye twitch of sympathy. "That's really sweet, Wrecker. That's okay."
"Yeah, take a breather," Cody said, sitting back down on my other side. "And I think you should talk about it."
The Marshal Commander looked down at me, genuinely showing concern over my slumped shoulders. Over everything. My eyes stung, I bet they were red. I felt drained because I was tense all the time.
"I think you know that I'm... fascinated by DID. You know? Dissociative identity disorder. Multiple personalities."
"Yeah you clocked it within the first five minutes of that episode," Cody said somewhat proudly.
Despite my grief, I snorted. "Oh please. That mysterious camera shots? Different voices? One is more domineering than the other? Come on. That's Hollywood DID."
"It's rare," Wrecker said, oddly focused to topic. Honestly I was amused with that. "I think we have a few of our brothers diagnosed with it."
"We do," Cody supplied, "A handful of them. But I never knew them personally. Two, I heard, are in Pong Krell's unit."
"No," I gasped, "Ugh. Good thing he's dead."
"Thanks Dogma," Wrecker quietly said.
"I went a little into studying DID for a bit for fic writing purposes," I continued, running both hands through my hair. "And I knew that extreme abuse was usually the main cause. We saw the dad abused this guy when he was a kid. It was awful and..." I sighed heavily. "It was excellently portrayed."
Cody frowned. "You're scared."
"Yeah," I admitted quietly, "But not for the actors. I don't know. It looks too real. Too accurate. It's messing up with my head. And the way they tortured Reid too, and the way Reid was too helpless and his team didn't know where he was taken... it was too explicit. I've only just gotten to realize they really weren't kidding about the 17+ rating. I think it's gonna haunt me for the next few days."
Silence enveloped the room for a good minute or so after that.
"Okay, I think that's a great start," Wrecker began softly, "You're talking it out. That's good."
Cody nodded in agreement.
"But he got out in the end," I added, "Reid's alive."
"That he is," Cody said.
"Yeah," I nodded slowly. "Recovery's waiting for him. I think he'd be a tough guy in the end."
The Marshal Commander smiled.
"You know," I carried on, feeling more comfortable to release my sorrow onto these two. "The character Hotch said that he mentored Reid to be smart and resourceful about everything or whatever he said, but he never taught the emotional aspects of... everything." I looked at Wrecker. "It hit hard for me. I don't know why."
"You have a big heart, that's all," Wrecker remarked.
I scoffed, the soft blanket over my form suddenly looked interesting. "I wouldn't say that."
"It hit hard for all of us too, you know." I turned to Cody, whose expression was thoughtful. "We were never taught to react emotionally. Get in the field, get the job done, go home. Rest, train, brief, repeat. It's a nonstop cycle for all of us."
"So what made you to, really?"
Cody blinked. "Reacting emotionally?"
I nodded. "You're all human, after all. You're allowed to. You do that all the time."
He stared ahead for a long time, apparently struggling to put his answer into words.
"I think it's the discrepancies between what we were trained for and the real world."
I swivelled around to face Wrecker. His scarred face frowned in deep thought. It was probably one of the rare moments where I was graced with it. Wrecker was the one with the biggest heart out of the batch. I felt honored, sort of.
"There's a lot of surprises, not much of them favorable for us," the demo expert said, "We were prepared for a lot of things. It's only natural for us to react. You'll find us as a bunch of guys with a sense of humor—that's one way to cope, too. Sometimes some of us hide the bigger pain."
I looked at him. I decided right there I wouldn't question further about that last bit.
"Wrecker's right," Cody added, "We're trained to not let emotions get in the way, but sometimes we can't help it. Restraining it doesn't feel right."
"Not feeling even for a bit doesn't feel right either," Wrecker said.
"It should feel right, guys," I concluded with finality. Cody seemed to take this conversation to heart. Wrecker took a deep breath. "Because if not, you should ask yourself, and then get to know yourself better."

~~~~~~
“I’m so ready to come home. I miss all of you so much.” Maddie said on the other end of the line with a  sigh. “I haven’t been away from you or the kids for this long since they were born!”
“We miss you too. I can’t wait for you to come home.” Jack responded, hoping the lie wasn’t as obvious to her as it was to him.
“We’ll have to go out for a nice dinner or something! I’m sure there’s so much I need to be caught up on that I’ve missed.” Maddie jabbered excitedly.
“Ah, there isn’t much going on, Mads! I’m sure it’ll be a normal family dinner,” Jack lied. He’d talk to Danny when he got home. They needed to make a plan for telling Maddie and Jasmine. This family - after this - was done with secrets and lying and hurting each other, intentional or not.
Maddie began to say something else but her words were cut off by a yawn.
“Sounds like it’s time for you to go to bed,” Jack said.
“Yeah, it is kind of late,” Maddie agreed. “I’ll talk to you later this week, okay?”
“Sounds good, Mads. I love you.”
“I love you too, Jack. Tell the kids I love them?”
“Of course.”
“Good night! Or, well. Morning, for you.”
Jack laughed. “Good night. Sweet dreams.”
He hung up the phone, returning it to its place on the wall and sighed deeply. He dropped his head into his hands as a familiar sense of fear and worry clouded his mind. He hated lying to his wife. He hated being afraid of what she’d do. He hated the uncertainty. He hated that, as much as he knew her and loved her, he still doubted if she’d accept Danny.
He hated that he’d looked into divorce lawyers, that he’d pulled a significant amount of money from their joint account and stashed it into an account in his own name. How had life come to this? How had he messed up this badly? He lifted his head, gazing at the closed door to the lab.
That stupid fucking portal. He had built it, designed it, with Maddie. How had neither of them realized they put the fucking ‘on’ button inside the portal? He held two doctorates, Maddie had three, yet neither of them thought something was off when they installed an ‘on’ button somewhere that couldn’t be reached without a fatality?
For two geniuses, they were incredibly stupid. Or arrogant, he supposed, that they trusted their own invention so much they never doubted their abilities for even a moment. Jack wasn’t sure which option was worse - stupidity or arrogance. Which was better to kill his son with? Which was a more justifiable reason?
He grit his teeth together until it hurt, returning his gaze to the floor as he grabbed and tugged painfully at his own hair.
When the house was quiet and empty like this, Jack could hear the hum of electricity around him, could feel the permanent chill in the air that the portal caused. Did Jazz ever get too cold? Is that why she hated staying at home? Jack and Maddie had always thought the chill wasn’t that bad - neither kid had ever complained. But Maddie and Jack were protected from it by the hazmats they wore and Danny wasn’t even capable of feeling cold anymore, especially since his ice core had strengthened. But what about Jazz?
He glared below him, as if he could see the portal in the basement beneath him. He wished he could close it permanently, dismantle it, destroy it. But he and Danny had talked in the two weeks since the reveal. Danny would die without it, without the ectoplasm source to feed and energize his ghost half. Ironic, wasn’t it? The thing that spat out the enemies Danny faced was also the thing that gave the nutrients he needed to to live.
He’d wallowed in his own misery long enough. Jack forced himself to his feet and down the stairs, to his computer in the lab. Jack had been curious about Danny’s unique physiology. He’d told Danny as much, a few days after the clearing. He’d been worried Danny would think he just wanted to study him, and he’d never before known relief as profound as he got that day, when Danny admitted he was curious too. He’d done some of his own tests and studies, but would very much like an expert’s opinion, in case he ever got really hurt.
And then he’d smiled at Jack, and there had been no fear, no apprehension, no doubt in his son’s eyes. All these years, all these misunderstandings, all the time spent hurting Danny, could’ve been avoided if Jack had ever tried to talk to a ghost. If Jack had pulled his head out of his ass long enough to listen and learn.
There was nothing to be done now to fix it. All he could do was pick up the pieces their family had shattered into and try to put them back together as best he could, even if they were never the same again.
Jack settled onto his desk chair, pulling up the files. There was the information from the first day in the lab, where they’d tested Phantom’s powers. A smile tugged at his lips at the memory - the two of them laughing and learning together, Danny entirely unafraid of him. Jack wanted to test his son’s powers again in a few months, to see if Danny’s strength was growing or if it had plateaued. Even he had admitted he gained powers and abilities at an unprecedented rate among ghosts. It was a good idea to track his power progression. Plus, Jack just wanted an excuse to spend time with his son.
He scrolled further, studying the notes he’d taken from their discussions and tests since then. Danny truly was a scientific marvel, though Jack would never say that to his son’s face.
Danny’s human blood was red with bright green sparkles interspersed within, while his ghostly ectoplasm was green with streaks of crimson. His human heart rate was low and entirely silent as a ghost. Most of his vitals were like that - concerningly low if he was a normal human, and entirely absent as a ghost. His blood pressure, his oxygen saturation, his breathing rate - he breathed out of habit, as Phantom, not need. He was hypothermic as a human and subzero as a ghost.
It was fascinating and wonderful.
It was horrific and terrible.
Jack glanced through the data again, frowning. He was working on developing anesthesia or at least pain relievers that would work on Danny. He’d learned the pain pills were more to help Danny sleep, to force him into unconsciousness, rather than actual pain relief. That had been a hard conversation, asking Danny about the illegal narcotics under his bed. They still had the pills, but the bottle stayed with Jack now. Danny had grumbled half-heartedly when Jack told him that - “I’m responsible with them!” - but he hadn’t protested much, especially when Jack had explained it was because Jack was worried about him.
It might be odd that Jack was developing pain relief for his teenage son, but Jack had stitched enough wounds by now to know that Danny needed it. He hurt just as much as a ghost as he did a human.
Hours passed as Jack hypothesized about various chemical properties. He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the front door open upstairs, and he held his breath in anticipation.
Danny had agreed this morning to tell his friends about Phantom at school - after refusing to do it over the weekend - and Jack could only pray it had gone well.
The sound of three pairs of feet above him brought a wide smile to his face. He hurriedly left his seat, rushing up the stairs. The three were still in the living room as Jack made his way in, all chattering amongst each other as if no time had passed.
“Danny!” Jack exclaimed, nearly vibrating in excitement. He tried to rein in his exuberance, in case Danny hadn’t told them yet, but Jack had never been particularly good at that.
“Hey, Dad,” Danny greeted. He met his father’s eyes and answered the question he could see burning within them. “They know.”
Jack glanced over at the other two, who smiled and nodded at him. “They know?” He verified.
Danny laughed and suddenly white rings swept across him, morphing him into Phantom. “They know.”
Jack didn’t say anything, just turned and crushed his son’s friends into a hug. They both yelped in surprise, no longer used to a Jack Fenton hug after a year and a half without one. He released them quickly.
“Wait, I have a question.” Tucker piped up once he was free, eyeing Danny suspiciously.
“No, I never snuck into the girl’s locker room.” Danny said seriously, making the other three snort with laughter.
“Man, that’s the most surprising thing you’ve said today,” Tucker joked. “But, that wasn’t my question.”
“What is it, then?” Danny asked.
“Are you aware that you are the real life version of an anime magical girl now? You’ve even got the magical girl transformation sequence!” Tucker said, absolutely grinning from ear to ear.
Sam groaned and Danny cried out, placing a hand to his chest as though wounded. “I am not!”
“Dude, you even had a catchphrase earlier!”
“You wound me!” Danny said dramatically, pressing the back of his hand to his forehead and falling backwards onto the couch, transforming back to human.
“You two are such idiots,” Sam muttered, but Jack could see the smile on her face at the ridiculousness.
Jack began to relax, the tenseness in his shoulders abating some. Danny’s friends were good people, and he was so happy his son had them.
“You kids hungry?” Jack asked, noticing the time. “My treat!”
“I’ll never turn down free food!” Tucker answered.
“Everyone load up into the Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle!” Jack declared, grabbing the keys from their hook on the wall.
Tucker whooped with excitement - that kid got so excited for food, he could’ve been Jack’s son too! - and they all climbed into the GAV. Jack actually drove like a normal human being for once, enjoying the sound of the kids’ chattering and laughter in the backseat.
Thoughts of Vlad tried to surface but Jack wrangled them back down. He’d never told them how much the young trio reminded him of Vlad’s, Maddie’s, and his  friendship in college.
He suppressed the thoughts as he pulled into a parking space at Nasty Burder. The four of them filed out and into the building, making their way to the counter to place their order. Jack fished his card out of his wallet and paid while the teens found somewhere for them to sit. He was on his way over to the table when Danny suddenly stood and bolted towards the bathroom, throwing a look to his father. Jack sighed and placed the table number for their order down in front of Sam, noting both her and Tucker’s worried face.
“He said there’s a ghost somewhere.” Tucker muttered, the earlier humor gone from his voice.
“Damn it,” Jack swore. “I’m going to go help him, you two stay right here. If it gets too dangerous you get out of the way, understand me?”
They nodded and Jack hurried outside as inconspicuously as possible. Luckily, he was Jack Fenton. People expected him to be weird, and when everything you do is weird, nothing is actually weird anymore.
As soon as he cleared the door, his eyes were on the sky, hand resting on his ecto blaster. He didn’t have to look hard for the ghosts; Plasmius flew in front of Jack, Phantom hot on his tail. Their words were lost to the wind as they dove behind the restaurant. Jack ran after them, pulling the weapon from its holster and clicking off the safety. He and Danny had been working on his aim and he had gotten much better!
“Come, Daniel, I’m just here to talk,” Plasmius’s voice echoed from around the corner. Jack peeked, electing not to attack yet. Danny had emphasized that he tried his best to not attack first, to try and talk it out, as even the more violent ghosts could sometimes be persuaded away. Jack knew Plasmius was one of the most dangerous and aggressive ghosts in Amity, and he didn’t want to start an unnecessary fight. He frowned slightly; he couldn’t really see anything from this spot - Plasmius’s back was to him and he could only see a part of Danny.
“And be a massive pain in my ass?” Danny said, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at the other ghost in irritation.
“Be reasonable, child,” Plasmius said smoothly. “I haven’t even done anything.”
“Yet.” Danny grumbled.
“Come, little badger. I know your second death day is approaching - it’s just two months away now, isn’t it?”
Jack stiffened as Plasmius spoke, a sudden dread settling in his stomach like a rock.
No. His mind whispered. Little badger?
Danny had likewise tensed, unaware of his father’s presence. “How did you know that?”
“You died turning on a portal, my son. While your death may not be notable within the Realms, that portal turning on is.”
“I am not your son, you goddamn fruit loop!” Danny shouted and Jack’s knees gave out beneath him.
Little badger. Fruit loop.
Vlad.
Tumblr media
Jack had known Vlad had to be an enemy of his son’s, Danny had let him know the day of the Spectra incident that he didn’t have any allies that frequented the human world. But Plasmius? Who had possessed Jack in Wisconsin, who ruthlessly chased Phantom down just to beat him to a pulp once a week?
Who had called Jack a bumbling buffoon more than once, who had looked at Jack with such hatred. Who had become one of Amity’s frequent fliers right after Vlad Masters moved in.
Jack would quite like for his world to stop imploding, thank you very much. How many more surprises could his heart take?
He didn’t hear the rest of their conversation, instead drowning in his thoughts, crushed under their weight.  He’d hoped Vlad was one of the more unremarkable ghosts - the ones who sometimes caused minor, harmless havoc but otherwise just existed, not even worth being hunted (back when he still hunted ghosts).
Of course Vlad couldn’t be bland or boring. Jack should’ve known better. Vlad was practically allergic to being anything resembling normal - the man had been an ecto science major because it was the most unusual major he could find, not because he’d believed in ghosts. Jack nearly snorted at the irony.
The non-believer, the ecto science student who didn’t think ghosts were real, was the one who got turned into a half ghost.
He was startled by a sudden ectoblast sounding from where the two argued. Jack shook his anxiety off as he stood, again poking his head around the corner. Danny’s hand was smoking and Plasmius’s - Vlad’s - cape was singed.
“Stay the fuck away from me and my family.” Danny growled, rage in his eyes. An uncomfortable shiver went down Jack’s back - he’d never heard Danny sound so… inhuman. His voice was more animalistic, more echoed, more eerie. It nearly sounded like static.
“Another time, then,” Plasmius said as he rose higher in the air. Green energy began to crackle around Danny’s hand again in warning. Plasmius merely sighed and flew away.
Jack waited a moment, making sure Vlad had flown out of sight, before fully stepping around the corner. Phantom’s face immediately smoothed from the rabid rage he’d been glaring at Vlad with, softening as he relaxed.
Part of Jack wanted to demand answers from Danny, demand to know what was going on with Vlad, but he found he couldn’t. These were his answers to find, his wrong to right.
“You good, son?” Jack asked. “I heard the ectoblast and saw Plasmius.”
Danny shrugged. “I’m more than a match for him, no worries.” He glanced around, confirming they were alone before shifting back to human. “Back to dinner?”
“Yeah, c’mon, son,” Jack agreed, ignoring the sense of guilt in the back of his mind. Was this lying? Technically neither of them had really said much about Plasmius, and Jack hadn’t technically lied either!
He was electing to ignore the fact lies of omission were a thing. Danny and he made their way back to the table, Sam and Tucker immediately lowering their voices to ask if he was alright, Tucker fretting slightly and checking Danny over for injuries.
Had Vlad had anyone to check him over for injuries since he’d died?
Pervasive thoughts of Vlad filled his mind for the rest of the night, even after he’d dropped Sam and Tucker off at their respective houses. He hoped his distraction tonight wasn’t too obvious as he planned his next steps.
It was time to confront Vlad.
~~~~~~
“Sir, we’ve been trying for two months,” the IT agent said, frowning. “Phantom fried the servers and we don’t have off-site backups. I’m sorry, O. There’s nothing left for us to try.”
Operative O growled, grabbing the front of the agent’s shirt with one hand and pulling him closer. “Keep working!” He shouted, spit flying into the other man’s face.
The IT agent - Agent Bit - glared at O, but was helpless to do anything other than return his focus to the computer, unable to defy a command from someone so high up the power chain. “I’ll try, but I can’t really do anything else. The servers and hard drives were fried - hell, pretty much every piece of technology in the building was. Have the scientists been able to figure out how Phantom did that? It was confirmed to have an ice core, after all.”
O was silent for a moment, looking at his other hand. Well… the experimental, robotic prosthetic that had replaced his real hand. The damage done to both him and the GIW facility in Phantom’s wake had been immense. He focused on the hand, flexing the mechanical fingers, not quite feeling it. The connections between the prosthetic and the actual nerves in his hand were underdeveloped.
“We don’t know,” O admitted, eyeing Bit. “But I intend to capture him again and find out.”
“It,” Bit corrected. “Calling a ghost a ‘him’ makes it sound like a person.”
“I intend to capture it and find out, then,” O said, rolling his eyes, though Bit couldn’t see it beneath his glasses. “I expect an update within a week, Bit.”
With that, O turned on his heel and left the room, clenching and unclenching his metal hand as memories bubbled up within him.
Operative O had been the only survivor of the explosion, at least of the people in the room with Phantom. Some had been electrocuted to death, but most had been crushed. O’s partner - Operative K - was among the dead, a fact that still ripped into his heart. They had been friends, they’d started together, gone to training together. When someone became a Guys in White agent, anything from a janitor to the director, they gave up their previous life, their friends, their family. K had become his brother in arms… and simply O’s brother.
They’d been born into their new lives together and had been partners for over a decade.
And then that damn ghost happened. K hadn’t been one of the lucky ones. He’d been partially crushed beneath rubble, forced to suffer a slow death. He’d bled out in O’s arms, had cried into and stained O’s white suit. They had known the internal bleeding would kill him before the rescue team would find them. O had been left with his corpse for hours, feeling his friend go cold and stiff in his lap.
Then… nothing. All the deceased were rounded up to be cremated, the ashes dumped like trash. The official statement of the Ghost Investigation Ward had been that it had been a gas leak explosion, that everyone was fine, only a handful of minor injuries.
There was no mourning of the lost agents. No acknowledgement of their sacrifice. They’d given their lives but weren’t given graves.
O paused as he felt a twinge of pain in his left hand - the phantom pain of a hand he no longer had - and his scowl deepened.
He’d realized when they had Phantom in custody that the ghost could feel pain at a human level. He’d almost been sympathetic until the explosion happened, until he lost the one person in the world who really knew him.
Now, he didn’t care about Phantom’s ability to feel pain. He hoped Phantom could feel it. He’d killed a dozen people in that blast. Operative O would make sure that the ghost boy paid for that with his own afterlife, if it was the last thing O ever did.

Review of movie:
This movie has been an absolute favorite for a longgg time. I've watched it like four times, this being the fourth time. I think there was a list for this at some point made by someone else but I couldn't find it so I figured I'd make a new one. If I manage to find it in my reblogs (why did I reblog so many posts??), I will make sure to tag and link to that post. I love the casual comedy thrown into this movie and the desperation of the characters really feels weirdly refreshing since they are trying so hard and aren't giving up at any point in the movie. I definitely recommend if you're looking for something chill that still keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the movie. Even if you aren't looking for that, 1000000/10 I recommend. I love this movie so much, if you can't tell lol. Thanks for sticking around till the end and I hope that you enjoy the drama. Stay tuned for more whump lists!

Congrats on finishing Echoes!!!!!!!
Do you have tips on writing such a long fic? How much planning did you do ?
Ahhh, thank you!!!!
For finishing such a long fic, I have some suggestions, but I think like a lot of writing advice it's a very "your mileage will vary" depending on your own processes. Long and honestly kind of rambling answer (and some mild spoilers for Echoes) below the cut:
So in terms of planning, I'm not really much of a planner to be honest. I know plenty of authors that will do detailed outlines, map out scenes, and then proceed to write each scene or chapter in a very structured way. It works for them, and it's worth a try if you haven't done it before, but I've found it just doesn't suit my general style.
My outline was a lot vaguer. I had basic concepts ideas I wanted to explore - No One Knows AU, Hazmat AU, Danny being friends with the ghosts as Fenton despite being hated as Phantom, and an identity reveal. My basic structure at the start was split into four parts, with each part highlighting a different reveal with different people in his life, but after finishing the first one with Valerie, I found that while it worked okay as a standalone, as a long fic it just . . . didn't. When I started doing the next part, it felt too repetitive and too much like the exact same thing with just the person swapped out, so even though I liked that first bit overall, I scrapped it in favor of trying to do something else because I still wanted to get to that end point where his family and friends all knew the truth.
So instead I tried to think about what could bring some of these people together to kind of discover some things in tandem instead of separately (hence the possession bit I came up with, which wasn't part of my original concept), and then from there the second part felt really natural as I realized I had to deal with the fallout from what happened there and it allowed me to bring the Fenton parents in more, too. I knew the last part was always going to end with my interpretation of Reign Storm, so it mostly became a question of how to get there in the context of the themes that started to develop as I wrote (namely around forgiveness, trust, hope, etc).
Dividing it into three parts with a different focus that still supported the overall story and character arcs helped a ton. Not getting too fixated on editing as I went along was also a big, important piece, since that's something I've struggled with intensely in the past. I want things to be perfect, and part of finishing this meant accepting that it wouldn't be and that it was okay and that, in all honesty, some of the things that make it imperfect are part of what makes it so near and dear to my heart.
(I will say, though, that I definitely indulged that impulse to go back and edit occasionally, since it helped refresh my memory as I wrote and scratch that itch. It was just important not to fall into a trap of only doing that instead of writing, too).
I tried to do a few scenes out of order, but found that never worked for me, I think in part because I was figuring out a lot of things as I went along. I'll still, occasionally, write out the bit in a fic that I really, really want on the page if I feel like I can't continue writing without getting it out first, but that version of it virtually never ends up in the final piece.
Other things that were important for me . . .
Finishing the fic before I posted it. Other folks can write and post as they go. I can't. I don't usually figure out everything until I'm basically done, and at that point I need to go back and rewrite and add bits to make the whole thing work. I think some of the chapters I didn't have in the first solid draft of my finished fic would surprise people. The unfinished fics on my old FFN profile are a testament to this - there's more than one I stopped there because I wrote myself into a corner I couldn't figure out how to get out of, or took on something that was way too ambitious or went in a direction I found I ultimately didn't want to go.
It also helped me avoid feeling that intense pressure of not wanting to disappoint people that were reading. Like, that was still there, but because the fic was functionally done, it didn't impact my ability to finish writing it, if that makes sense, and instead really impacted how I approached editing it instead.
But posting with space between the chapters mattered, too, since it allowed me to read people's comments which sometimes brought up things I hadn't considered and that I occasionally (but not always) worked into the fic later. One of the comments from dp-marvel 94, I think, had a huge impact on me when it came to how I approached the epilogue. While some parts of the epilogue didn't change much from my initial draft, a not so small part did, and I am much, much happier for the change since it really helped to tie up Danny's character growth and some of the themes I'd written into the fic.
(I suspect a beta-reader could have helped with that, but I was too anxious/terrified to ask anyone to be honest even as I knew it would probably make the fic better).
I also let my fic sit for like a month after I finished it without touching it, and then I went back and reread the entire thing, which helped me realize what I was missing, things I should added, deleted bits that I should also put back in (I never, ever permanently delete anything I write. I have a ton of documents that are an absolutely bonkers amount of pages full of stuff I deleted, if only because sometimes I realize that there are bits of those things that can be salvaged or worked in later).
And honestly? I just type fast. That's not terribly helpful advice and I know it, but it means I can indulge a lot of the vague ideas/thoughts I have without feeling like it's setting me back much since I can easily write a few thousand words in an hour.
Really, though, it's thinking about what you want to do with the fic and pushing through the anxiety/fear/perfectionism or whatever other thing is stopping you from finishing, and picking an idea that you love enough that you want to see it through to the end despite the blood, sweat, and tears you'll be pouring into it.

Radiation Overhaul - Survival 日本語化
Tumblr media
So I used many radiation overhauls over the course of my numerous Fallout playthroughs. Each mod gets something right, but there was something always off for me, so after trying and swapping mods for a while I decided to create my own radiation rebalance. This is based on my preference, I use it in my own playthrough and I find it hard but not impossible or unforgiving.
What to expect:
Rad-X and RadAway are relevant even in the late game. Refreshing beverage is a godsend! Actual preparation is needed when visiting the Glowing Sea. Having to think twice before going for a swim. No more cheesing out radiation with perks.
Here's what I did:
The Glowing Sea is deadly, and by that I mean DEADLY. It takes roughly 10 seconds to go from full health to 0 for a level 10 character naked. When you travel there you need a heavily kitted Power Armor or a Hazmat Suit, and you might even need to pop a Rad-X or two on top!
All bodies of water give out a much higher radiation, you can swim for roughly a minute before dying if you don't pop a Rad-X or don't have any radiation proof equipment.
Car Explosions give out a huge burst of radiation which lingers for quite some time, one more reason to avoid exploding cars, and you need to plan your route around them even after the explosion.
In Far Harbor the Fog is much more deadly, you need to watch your rad count and prepare accordingly.
All radiation related perks are now tied to much higher levels: Aquaboy can now be activated at level 50, you can no longer "swim around" your fights, if you want to take that route then you need to make sacrifices. Rad Resistant is now tied to level 20-30-40-50, you can invest to have "some" rad resistance, but only as you become a more seasoned wastelander. Nerfed Mysterious Serum to avoid cheesing radiation (it now correctly removes 3600 rads over 10 seconds as intended by the devs) Radstorms are MUCH more deadly now, make sure to manage your equipment, pop a Rad-X and seek shelter as you might not last long outside! It can be a bit annoying when being in dialog with NPCs so make sure you check the weather before engaging in a tea party!
The technical details:
.esl file made in FO4Edit, compatible with everything, the worst thing can happen is that some other mod overrides some of the settings. All DLCs are needed (well Far Harbor and Nuka World, Automatron at least) I play on Survival personally, but any other difficulties should work just as well.

Best Practices for Transporting Hazardous Materials Safely
Tumblr media
Transporting hazardous materials requires meticulous planning, stringent adherence to regulations, and the implementation of best practices to ensure the safety of people, property, and the environment. Hazardous materials (hazmat) include chemicals, explosives, flammable liquids and gases, toxic substances, and radioactive materials. Here are some best practices for transporting hazardous materials safely:
1. Understand and Comply with Regulations
Compliance with international, national, and local regulations is paramount. Key regulatory bodies and guidelines include:
International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations for air transport.
International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code for sea transport.
European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) for road transport in Europe.
49 CFR regulations in the United States, which cover the transportation of hazardous materials by all modes.
Ensuring compliance with these regulations helps prevent legal issues and enhances safety.
2. Classify and Label Materials Properly
Proper classification and labeling of hazardous materials are essential. This involves:
Identifying Hazard Classes: Each hazardous material must be classified according to its primary hazard (e.g., flammable, toxic, corrosive).
Using Correct Labels and Placards: Ensure that all containers are marked with appropriate labels and that transport vehicles display the correct placards to indicate the presence of hazardous materials.
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS): Include MSDS with shipments to provide detailed information about the materials and their handling procedures.
3. Use Suitable Packaging
Packaging plays a critical role in the safe transport of hazardous materials. Best practices include:
Selecting Appropriate Containers: Use containers that are designed and tested to withstand the physical and chemical properties of the materials being transported.
Sealing and Securing: Ensure that all containers are properly sealed and secured to prevent leaks and spills during transit.
Secondary Containment: Use secondary containment methods for additional protection, particularly for liquids and gases.
4. Implement Robust Training Programs
Training is vital for everyone involved in the transportation of hazardous materials. Training programs should cover:
General Awareness and Familiarization: Employees should understand the basic principles of hazardous materials transportation.
Function-Specific Training: Tailored training for specific roles and responsibilities.
Safety Training: Instructions on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response procedures, and safe handling practices.

My thoughts on... Avengers Academy 2010 (#14-20) "Fear Itself"
So i'm finally continuing this series! I was super excited to get back to it and it did not dissapoint whatsoever. Fear itself is defintely my favorite arc of this series so far! It was really refreshing to see a different perspective on everything in #14.1. It was super interesting to learn how the other kids who got abused by osborn turned out, and how the students were being shown that their lives can be about more than just superheroes and villains. The way it also sets up Veil ultimately leaving the academy to decide to live the life Briggs had shown her she could have was also really good. I will say the reveal that Briggs is a villain was a bit rushed but he's still a really terrifying villain given his powerset. #15 & #16 were the absolute standout issues for me in this arc. Tigra and Veil get so much development in these issues. the way Tigra relives her trauma on the battlefield and starts to fear that she's giving these kids their own trauma's which would irrevocably change them was super well executed. Especially because you see it happen in real time with all of them. And the absolute face of despair Tigra has upon realizing what's happening is just so heartbreaking. You really feel for her, especially because she herself has gone through so much. Tigra is defintely a big standout character for me in this run. It was also absolutely heartbreaking to see Veil try and save the little girl and her mom. It's a rollercoaster of emotions as you see how Veil realizes that maybe after she can be a hero after saving that kid. And then she does her best to save the mom too which all goes really smoothly. Only for it to all go away when the mom gets shot as she escapes the rubble. It's such a painful moment as you really see how it changes Veil. An incredibly shocking moment when I read it. All of the students fighting off absorbing man and titania in the infinite avengers mansion while being completely cut off from the world or any backup was such an incredibly cool sequence. It was quite interesting as for the longest of times they've been wanting to do superhero stuff on their own without the teachers interferring but now they get forced into that position and it's absolutely terrifying for them. It was really awesome to see them come together as an actual team without complaining about each other. To me it felt the most connected the team ever was. They were determined to get out of there and it was super intriguing to see them come up with a plan to escape the mansion and how it forced them into a position to make impossible decisions and how it affected them. Seeing Hazmat and Mettle decide to stay behind and sacrifice themselves because they know their lives won't ever get better based on what they've seen of their future selves was super gutwrenching. It was really bittersweet to see them comfort each other in what they thought were their final moments before dying (until Giant-Man and the others saved them). The ending of this arc was also something I really loved and something that felt natural. The academy needs something fresh and new, and the idea of it relocating to the west coast avengers base and expanding to teach all young heroes who want it is such a good idea. Allows for so much more opportunities in terms of storytelling as well. Not to mention the academy really needed a breath of fresh air so it didn't become stale. A seemingly new faculity is also really exciting. Speedball and Justice leaving makes sense especially with the reasoning they had and I think it allows for some other interesting heroes to join the faculity and explore their endeavors and failures as heroes. It does feel a bit like a soft reboot of this series but one that makes a lot of sense and has super exciting prospects. So yeah this was a super good arc with tons of memorable and gutwrenching moments. A lot of intriguing stuff and a super interesting setup for what's to come. I'm super excited to see what this new academy will bring alongside the new heroes residing in it!
