Made another Helluva Boss scene where Stella actually has some character.
This would be in the Sinsmas ep, probably before Octavia's musical number. THIS is how Stella should've been written.

🖤 Scene: “Sinsmas”
[INT. OCTAVIA’S BEDROOM – NOON]
The room is dim, lit only by the soft glow of enchanted stars on the ceiling. Octavia sits on the edge of her bed, hugging her knees, headphones tossed beside her. The door creaks open.
Stella (softly) May I come in?
Octavia glances over but doesn’t respond. Stella takes the silence as permission and steps inside, robes trailing behind her like smoke. She sits in the chair across from her daughter.
Stella You’ve haven’t said a word all day.
Octavia (flatly) I didn’t feel like talking.
Stella (gently) I understand.
She folds her hands in her lap. Her voice is softer now, calm and composed.
Stella You miss him. I see it on your face. And I don’t blame you for that. I miss who he used to be too.
Octavia lifts her eyes just slightly. Listening.
Stella (after a pause) It's about time you knew . . . Your father and I... we . . . didn’t fall in love. We were assigned to each other. Our marriage was always meant to be a transaction of some sort—noble bloodlines, political bonds, legacy. That was the purpose. (Looks to a picture of her, Via, and Stolas. A happy family, seemingly) And I played my part.
Octavia (quietly) . . . .Did he?
Stella’s jaw tightens just slightly, but she nods.
Stella For a while. But then came that imp… and suddenly, he had no interest in any of it. Not our house, not our title—not you. You became just another reminder of what he was trying to escape.
Octavia flinches. She looks away, curling in slightly.
Stella (reaching her tone’s softest point) I know you want to believe he cares. And maybe, on some level, he does. But not more than he cares about that... thing. That’s why he kept you at arm’s length. Why he let himself become a joke in front of all of Hell.
She stands slowly, still at Octavia’s side—but not touching her, yet. Just close enough to loom.
Stella I’m not trying to take him away from you. I’m trying to protect you, Via. From being hurt by a man who only remembers you when it’s convenient.
Octavia finally speaks, hesitant but broken.
Octavia I don’t know who to believe anymore…
Stella (with carefully placed tenderness)(Softly caresses her daughter’s face and lifts it to face her) Then believe the one who stayed. The one who never left you behind.
Stella brushes a stray strand of hair from Octavia’s face, and walks toward the door in silence. She pauses at the doorway.
Stella (without turning back) You deserve better than to be someone’s afterthought.
[She leaves. The door shuts quietly. Octavia stays frozen, tears in her eyes—but no sound. Just silence.]

Ok ok i'm a liar oops. Saw the Millie short (I have thoughts) and the season 2 trailer and i had to do my poor sweet underdeveloped bird girls justice.
Octavia is virtually the same personality wise, except she has hobbies that Stolas is completely unaware of but Stella supports fully. Specifically taxidermy, which Stella finds fascinating. I don't vibe with the design after staring at it for a while, but this was just a doodle and potential colors, i'll have to draw Stolas and then figure out her colors.
In demon lore, Andrealphus teaches lots of things, but he is said to teach astronomy, so i decided Stella (as her name would suggest) is very knowledgable on the subject and star gazes. I gave her a galaxy esc dress similar to Stolas's s1 ep7 outfit and changed her colors a bit.
They have a good mother/daughter bond in this because if Viv can't write a good mother figure then I'll do it myself dammit.
Stella is basically now all the fan theories before she was boiled down into a shitty one dimensional abuser to make the uwu gay bird sympathetic with a bit of my input.
She is the younger sister of Andrealphus, who married her to Stolas as a way of moving up in the world - as Stolas is a Prince and Andrealphus is a rank below him as a Marquis. Stella initially was distraught but tried to be good. She tried to find common ground, seeing as both her and Stolas liked stars, but they never clicked fully. When Octavia was born, Stella shifted her attention to her and started being passive aggressive to Stolas, letting her years of anger out on him in little jabs. Things along the line of her throwing a not divorced party but she doesn't loudly insult him in front of her guests.
When Stolas cheats on her with an imp, she's fucking furious. She's given up her entire life to this man, to bring her family name higher and her husband cheats on her with an IMP. The lowest of the lower class, and now her gossipy high society friends she's spent years getting into the good graces of will know. So she's a mix of fucking furious and just a tinge hurt. She's not justified btw, i just want to show her side of things for once because Viv is allergic to developing female characters.
She adores Octavia in my version. Utterly adores her. So of course she takes Octavia and tries to keep her away from Stolas as much as possible. She loves her daughter and wants to raise her better than she was raised.
That's all I might do a Sallie May and Millie redesign again who knows

Double Creature Feature - Stella and Andre Goetia
Here it is, Stella and Andre. You can probably tell where Stella's Backstory was inspired by.
Stella
The youngest out of 10 siblings Stella was the only female and the last child of the family. Andre was her eldest brother who cared deeply for her. Stella was supposed to be married off the moment she was old enough to. Stella was born a runt which meant constant bullying and mistreatment. She was set to marry someone before Stolas but because the other guy wasn't a "fun guy" she rejected it. Stella contracted a severe undocumented case of the Bird Flu which caused a lot of strife and expectations. She was expected as the child and only defacto girl to wave and act pretty. Even when she was exhausted. Even when she was told to shut up and obey. Even when she was forced to be kind to her father. Stella had several miscarriages (infertile eggs) before Octavia became her Rainbow Baby, despite tricking Stolas into marrying her (A la Bloberta.) she felt nothing towards Stolas. Not even love, not even hate. Just... detestation. It even highlighted and flared when Octavia was "born" she tried to be a present mother knowing that she couldn't. But with Stolas being absent and never there. She had to be the only stable parent. Sometimes her past comes to bite her in the ass, and this is where she found out the Imp she actually loved, Blitzo was sleeping with Stolas. She never blamed Blitzo, but blamed Stolas for everything as he was a "monster" and it was "in his nature" to seduce weak people into ever being with him.
Andre
Being the eldest, Andre was parentified. Oftentimes having to raise his rowdy 9 brothers and when his youngest sibling Stella was born. He had a mission to protect her. While his other siblings were married off fairly quickly. Stella often leaned on him for support, either from the pain of depression or being lonely. Andre became her support. Andre wanted to be there for his sister but sadly after the death of their parents and his eventual sworn in as the King of Ars Goetia he had abandoned his protectiveness and decided to effectively focus on work.

How I would re-write Stella Goetia, Backstory + Season 1
Probably my most popular posts on this blog are about Stella from Helluva Boss. I like to talk about her because I think she had the potential to be a really nuanced character, and I really would’ve loved to see her and Stolas have a more complicated relationship.
So I’d like to talk about the direction I would’ve taken her characterization and story in.
I do need to stress that this is NOT a writing “fix-it” post. Canon Stella may be an evil bitch, but she’s MY evil bitch and I LOVE HER. I’ve already talked quite at length about how her character and conflict with Stolas being purely black and white is not a bad story decision, but to me is less interesting than having a grey or nuanced conflict.
I just want to go over a rough outline of what I would’ve done with her as a character. Just because it’s different, doesn’t mean it’s better or is “fixing” the canon story. I also am not trying to make Stella inherently more sympathetic/likable/or “woobify” her—this is just a ROUGH outline of what I’d do to flesh Stella out as a person, and ideas I’ve had for her character that would make her (and her relationships with Stolas and Via) more appealing to me personally.

I just really wish Stella had gotten more depth, and wanted to talk about it.
(LONG) Rewrite Summary below!!!
While I think there’s also an interesting re-write where Stella and Stolas are not in an arranged marriage, and may explore this idea as well, this time around I am going to be sticking with the canon background that their marriage was arranged.
Instead of having Stella be an evil heartless spoiled child who strangles puppies, I would give her a very strict upbringing where from birth she was groomed to be the “perfect noblewoman and wife”—I would base her upbringing and the expectations placed on her on what was expected of Regency noblewomen.
Basically, Stella would be raised to be able to run the house/estate when Stolas was away, be accomplished in the “domestic arts” (hosting events such as parties and balls, being able to do embroidery and other hobbies “befitting” of her class, and being involved in charitable efforts). She would be taught to be quiet, graceful, courteous, and to always anticipate the needs of her husband.
Stella’s “true” personality as a young child would be boisterous, loud, and precocious. Stella loved playing outside, singing loudly, and dancing.
She would have gotten in trouble with her parents often due to this (“Dancing for fun is what the poor do, Darling. You should only dance to find a suitable husband”) and would be punished by her Father by his ordering the rest of the family and their staff to ignore Stella completely and act like she didn’t exist. This would usually result in Stella acting out even more to try and MAKE everyone pay attention to her, until she’d get too tired to continue and start acting “proper” (I.e. quiet, not speaking too loud or speaking out of turn, being obedient, etc.)
Her relationship with Andrealphus would have been strained, as he would have been the “golden child” while Stella would be the scapegoat. I’d also like to give Stella magic fire powers. Because honestly why does Andre get Ice Magic and Stolas get space magic and Stella is the same type of demon as them apparently and gets nothing??? Boring.
Maybe this is basic, but honestly I love characters with fire powers who have to learn to control them. As child, Stella would have difficulty controlling her fire abilities, and would be not be taught how to use or maintain her powers, but would be taught to suppress them.
As an aside—again, I’m not giving Stella a traumatic childhood to make her more likable and more pitiable. I have two reasons I’m giving her this backstory—1) I believe that even people with great parents still end up with some childhood trauma, because being alive and growing up *is* traumatic. And 2) I think that there’s a lot of pretty good evidence that ROYAL upbringings, and the expectations and restrictions that come with them, are especially traumatic in a very particular and very intense way.
Doesn’t mean that they’re not extremely privileged, but that privilege also doesn’t take away that trauma.
I think it’s very realistic for both Stella AND Stolas, as children of royalty and nobility, to have a lot of childhood trauma surrounding their upbringings, and that’s something I really want to explore in my rewrite—how they cope with their traumas and how it impacts their relationship and their ability to raise their daughter and navigate conflict.
By an older teen to young adult, she would have learned how to behave as a “perfect noblewoman”. This is when she would meet Stolas for the first time (with a a Chaperone of course).
There would be a little bit of time shortly before and after their marriage where they would have their “honeymoon” period—both Stella and Stolas were very infatuated with each other and mistook that infatuation for “true love”.
This time where they were extremely infatuated with each other would last about a year, after which they would slowly begin to realize that the idealized images they had of one another was false. They would start to argue more, have a harder time compromising etc. until they finally realized they fell out of love, and maybe were never in love in the first place.
Even though the two of them would have come to this realization, it would be separately, and due to their upbringings (where you don’t really talk about your feelings and push them down) they would NOT talk to each other about it.
This would be the first big crack in their relationship, and they would both have a lot of guilt over it.
I like the idea of the two of them really, really want to stay in love with each other, but after they get to TRULY know each other they just…never fully “click”. They realize they don’t have the same interests, they can’t really find anything to talk about, and they just. They don’t stay in love.
Stella would be very in denial about her true feelings after this turning point, and would still try to convince herself that she really loves Stolas. She would have a lot of deeply buried guilt over not loving him, and see it as a failure of her “duties” as his wife.
After this, they would find a way to keep their relationship would be cordial and respectful, but it would always tinged by an unspoken awkwardness. It would be almost business-like in nature, and they would start spending more and more time apart.
To cope with this lackluster relationship that they were both now stuck in, Stolas would throw himself fully into his duties (which I would want to show a little more of…seriously what does…what does he do??? What does he use the grimoire for????) and Stella would do the same—throwing herself into her duties as the lady of the house and a Goetia Princess.
Stella would host parties and balls, she’d make sure manor was always clean and orderly, she’d become a patron of the arts.
The basis of their relationship would become one of them sticking to the roles that were thrust upon them since birth.
Things WOULD change for the better though after Octavia’s birth.
Because for a while, Stolas and Stella would have something, someone, that brought them together, that they both loved and cared for dearly.
Something that Stella and Stolas would have spoken about before having Octavia is that they did NOT, under any circumstance, want to raise Via like they were raised.
As I already went over, both Stella and Stolas would have dealt with abuse and neglect growing up—Stolas’ abuse stems from his parents being LARGELY absent in his life and him being very neglected as a child, while Stella’s stems from her parents being extremely controlling and giving her very little, if any, freedom.
They would firmly agree on letting Via be her own person, on making time for her, on not putting too many expectations on her.
And, in this rewrite, I would not have them be abusive or neglectful parents. But I would have them be very flawed parents, whose own traumatic upbringings negatively affect their ability to raise Via.
I would want to explore Stella and Stolas fighting to break the cycle of abuse they went through, but still struggling because they don’t have a good frame of reference for what being a good parent looks like.
Stolas doesn’t realize that he’s not always giving Octavia all the time with him she needs, because in his eyes he’s spending tons of time with her—it doesn’t occur to him that he’s actually being neglectful towards her, because to him, spending any long amount of time with her is more than he ever got from his father. He’ll spend time with her, and talk to her, but not really LISTEN to what she’s saying she needs, and doesn’t understand why she doesn’t like the things she used to, or is mad at him for not taking more time for her.
Stella doesn’t realize she’s still being controlling or pushing her expectations onto Octavia by making passive aggressive comments suggesting she wear more “appropriate” or “feminine” clothing, or take up a “nicer” hobby like needlepoint and drop taxidermy. She gives Via the freedom to choose what she wants to do, but doesn’t fully SUPPORT those choices, and doesn’t understand why that’s so important, since in the end Octavia is still enjoying freedoms that Stella only dreamed of as a child.
Still, they manage to be a fairly functional and loving family towards Octavia. And Stolas and Stella maintain their cordial and business like relationship for Octavia’s sake, and to keep up appearances.
During Octavia’s teen years, when she’s 14-17, is when more cracks begin to show—Stella and Stolas have been keeping their relationship together, but it’s stagnating more and more. Stolas throws himself even more into his duties with the stars (or whatever) and Stella begins to become gradually more and more concerned and anxious about making sure her family maintains a “perfect” reputation among the other royals of hell.
Stella begins to throw more balls and parties for Hell’s charities (if this version of hell has banks, and police and prisons, they can have charitable organizations, okay.) As her and Stolas’s anniversary starts to get closer, she begins planning a HUGE ball for Hell’s nobility to celebrate. It’s hugely important to her.
While she’s doing all of this, Stolas is beginning to have an early-to-mid-life crisis. His work and duties that used to be engaging and fun are feeling more and more like a chore, his relationship with Stella has stagnated and is purely for show, he’s getting more and more anxious about Octavia approaching adulthood, and his whole life is beginning to feel more and more claustrophobic.
So. Stolas decides to do something wild, spontaneous, and very selfish, before he loses it. On a night where Stella is attending an Opera, and Via is spending the night with friends from school*, Stolas dresses in clothes he assumes “the common folk” would wear, and goes to shady bar in IMP city, with the goal of meeting someone to hook up with.
This is where Stolas meets Blitzø. (Sorry, I’m. I’m not doing the whole “paid childhood friends for one day” background.)
They have what both assume will be a one night stand at Blitzø’s place. It goes. MUCH better than either of them would have expected sex-wise. The two start meeting up more and more when they’re able to. Stolas begins to open up more to Blitzø, but it stays VERY sexual—eventually Stolas comes clean about who he is and they start to hook up at Stolas’ place whenever Stella is out. Stolas is very much infatuated with Blitzø (and the sex they have). Blitzø thinks they’re having non-complicated fun.
During AAALLL of this is when Blitzø learns about the Grimoire, and asks if he can “borrow” it for I.M.P. Stolas is impressed with Blitzø’s confidence and drive, and agrees to let Blitzø use it anytime, with the one exception being the night of the full moon. There is no full moon “deal” beyond the agreement that Blitzø cannot accept clients on the full moon because Stolas needs the book back that night.
During all of this is ALSO when Stella begins to notice Stolas acting differently, he’s slightly more energetic, he’s spending less and less time in his study and the manor in general, he doesn’t look her in the eyes when they do have time to chat briefly. It’s odd, and she’s suspicious of SOMETHING going on but she’s not sure what.
Stolas DOES feel guilty about cheating on Stella, but justifies it by telling himself that they’re not in a “true” marriage, and it’s “just sex”, so he’s not really cheating on Stella.
The night of Stella and Stolas’s anniversary ball arrives. To Stella, everything goes as expected, and it’s a huge success.
During the ball, though, we get the same scene we get in the Circus—Blitzø gets caught trying to sneak into Stolas’ room. Instead of the guards bringing him into the party, they call Stolas outside privately to deal with it (because why would the disrupt the party by dragging a party-crasher through the middle of a fancy ball?? I didn’t really understand why they did that in the og episode)
Stolas dismisses the guards, and we learn that Blitzø has been sneaking in (with Stolas’ permission+ knowledge) to get the grimoire after the full moon when he and Stolas don’t have time to meet up in person. Like tonight.
Instead of just handing off the grimoire like usual, Stolas and Blitzø end up hooking up (mutually and wholly consensually). Stolas does not return to the party.
Stella is really concerned about how Stolas’ absence looks, especially at a ball she planned with so many high profile demon lords present, but she’s able to wave it off as Stolas feeling a little tired and retiring early, due to it being the day after his full moon duties and all.
Instead of returning to their room, that night, Stella sleeps in one of the many guest rooms. She doesn’t know where Stolas is, but she’s mad at him for leaving early without saying anything on such an important night, and is hoping not coming to their bed will send a message—she’s tired anyway and doesn’t want to get in a big fight before bed that will tire her out more.
The next morning she has tea in the garden with some close friends. And this is where we get the infamous “Sorry, I fucked your husband!” scene.
After this, well. Stella kinda loses her shit. She had been pushing down all of her negative feelings and thoughts and frustrations surrounding her life and relationship for YEARS, because in her mind, as long as she was able to maintain the facade of having a “perfect” life, it would be worth it.
And now in a moment she’s lost the thing that, after her daughter, mattered to her the most.
She essentially explodes in fury in a way Stolas has never seen before—they get in a huge argument—Stella’s fire powers come out and burn down the manor’s garden, things just really get out of hand.
So. What would follow would be most of what we see of Stella in season 1 of HB—now that that floodgate has been opened, she finds she’s struggling to control her feelings, she’s mad and sad ALL THE TIME, and she’s deeply deeply hurt in a way she didn’t know she could be.
She can’t show her face in society, she doesn’t know WHAT to say to Octavia, she can’t believe Stolas could be SO SELFISH after EVERYTHING she had done to make sure their family was in high standing—and she can’t push down her feelings anymore. She’s never been so furious in her entire life.
And so she contacts a hitman, Striker.
I really like the old fan theory that Stella hired Striker in a moment of irrationality and anger because of how hurt she was—obviously her hurt does not justify trying to have her husband MURDERED, but I like the idea that she called the hit because she was deeply hurt and unable to cope with those feelings—not because she just hates him to the core of his being and has for their entire marriage. Her anger would be a coping mechanism, if she’s so busy feeling furious she doesn’t have to actually sit with her feelings of betrayal and sadness and hurt.
From here, the rest of season one would play out like in canon, we don’t see Stella in person again, just the apparition of her in Ozzie’s.
I’m going to stop here because this post is already way too long, it it’ll help me to think more if I split it up.
If you read this far please tell me what you think! I think I’d like overall for Stella and Stolas’ relationship to mirror Blitzø and Verosika’s, or maybe become a foil to it. From here we could honestly go either way—either Stella becomes a true villain, or she becomes an antagonist turned hesitant ally like Fizz, Ozzie, and Verosika.
I can see both being interesting, so maybe I’ll do a rewrite for both. We’ll see I guess.
*it weirds me the FUCK out that we don’t know anything about what Hell’s kids do, like I assume schools exist but ???anyway in this rewrite Stella and Stolas send Octavia to a fancy private school—cause the thought of her having NO friends or social circle makes me so sad)

Just realizing now that I never posted these?? All of these are nearly a year old and SUPER messy but I redesigned some of the Helluva Boss cast I'm going to be really honest I really tried to be nice to this show but I just...didn't like it the longer it went on and I slowly started to hate the designs more and more. 😭 So, I decided to give them my own spin! I also made some new lore for fun, I reimagined how the Goetias function as well as Mammon and the greed ring being more of an underground area where all the rich live above ground and all the imp workers live in the caves below digging for gold and jewels. I'll admit some of them like Blitzo and Verosika really needed a revisiting and I feel I could have done Loona better at well. I may work on these again sometime but for rn they were just a fun exercise trying to see if I could do concepts and designs better than what was presented. Oh also I drew Andrealphus but he turned out like ass so I'm not even gonna post but he was very green 💚

Stella/Stolas

Figured it would be best to start with some of my favorite redesigns! Welcome back Worst Married Couple In Hell!!!
For Stella I wanted to really focus on her lack of agency in her own life down to her outfit, dressing her in her husbands purple/blue shades with her own pink/purple shades being just an accent. I also imagine this Stella being unable to read beyond very basic stuff, corset training from a young age, and has a heavy focus during her upbringing on her looks. Taught how to balance books on her head rather than understand them. One of my biggest gripes with Stella in the show is how she is primarily there to make Stolas a more perfect victim, she acts to make us as the viewer feel bad for Stolas. Viv, I feel, forgot that she wrote both of them into an arranged marriage where they were forced to have kid. Another thing I wanted to explore with Stella moving forward was her abuse of Octavia, rather than her being a Disney villain I think her being neglectful as Stolas is would be interesting. Where Stolas is holding onto a younger, less angsty version of his daughter, Stella never wanted anything to do with her. It's not from a place of hate as it is pain, Octavia being a walking reminder that she is trapped here with this man who can do whatever he pleases. Coming around to Stolas I wanted to lean a touch into a more manipulative vision for him. Well meaning for sure but definitely with a victim complex. This lends into his own neglect of Octavia, trying to force a relationship that just is not there and hasn't since she was a child. Stolas at his core wants to be a good person but as a young man, or really as a young boy he didn't know the proper way to parent or be a partner to Stella in that way. This of course leaves Octavia isolated, which I'll go more into later. In my vision, Stolas does realize much too late that he does love Blitzo but it's much less glossed over with his fetishization and disrespect to Imps. His primary confusion is not that it happened but rather that he doesn't realize his impact on others, which is his main throughline in his relationships.
I will probably have more to say laterer but for now this'll do as a jumping off point for the rest of the story/concept.

Would love to see you do redesign on the helluva boss character’s if you haven’t already
I have already shown off a few redesigns, namely the sins
But a couple I haven't shown off yet are my redesigns for Stolas and Stella
I have yet to even touch the main cast and I don't think I will for a while. Gotta return to the Hellaverse fixation in order to make those.

Quick Helluva Boss Rewrite since I don’t like Stolas
Discard the Stolas is good episodes and bring it back to IMP and Blitz
Mlre focus on Millie and Moxxie; Millie is a farm girl who’s considered weak in her family while Sallie Mae is the favorite while Moxxie grew up in the mafia and was forced to kill his mom - they meet each other
Keep Stolas as a villain but have him manipulate he audience that he’s good and it’s his wife that’s the issue and daughter who’s bratty but acts two faced towards
Stella is trying to make the marriage work but is pressured by her incestuous brother to stay in the marriage for the family name; include Stella’s relatives too and have them insist marriage is the only way since women don’t have powers in Ars Goetia
They also consider fire powers unwomnaly so Stella was taught to repress them since “there’s nothing dainty about fire”; she also learned about medicine from a butler
Have Stella hire Striker over and over as he hunts IMP down
While stars are cool as hell, Stolas’ powers represent the coldness and isolation of space and distance from warmth - he represents the almighty powers that tear down life and makes living inhospitable
Big showdown as Blitz calls out Striker for hurting his own kind and Striker has an “oh shit” moment
Blitz makes up with Fizz and they start over
Have IMP not know what Stolas is very much raping Blitz each month to get the Grimoire because he doesn’t want to worry them and he knows he doesn’t have an option
Octavia notices something is up and assumes Blitz is tearing the family apart
Striker tells Stella the kill is off because of what Stolas is doing to Blitz
This angers Stella so much - her whole world comes crashing down as she realizes her husband and daughter’s father is a rapist and what he’s doing to Blitz could easily come to Octavia too. Stella loses it and for the first time, she finally gives in. Her powers represent the warmth in life that dares to exist even in the depths of space.
her fire powers go haywire and she is going to burn the shit out of Stolas
Epic battle between IMP, Striker, Stella, Octavia VS Stolas, Andy, the Sins, and Ars Goetia
Epic showdown, lots of injuries, Striker and Blitz are badly injured, Loona nearly died, Millie is in a coma, and Moxxie is taking care of everyone. Stella decides to use her powers to get Asmodeus stones so everyone can cross over to the living world and do their jobs. She also uses her knowledge she learned over the years in secret to gather medicine so everyone recovers with Moxxie’s help
Stella and Octavia inherit Stolas’ fortune since he’s been disgraced for lending his book (the reason Stella didn’t just report Stolas earlier is that Stolas would’ve blamed Blitz for raping him and stealing the book and blamed her for the plot so she couldn’t report it sooner).
IMP is very successful. We have Millie x Moxxie raising a family (since in this story we have Millie with more character with her own issues rather than just wife), Blitz x Strike, and Stella raising her kid alongside Blitz raising Loona.

✨Sexualities✨
Alright so I'm thinking I'll start small for the rewrites. I don't really want to change much about the Hazbin sexualities since I've been thinking more about the Helluva Boss rewrite so I might cover the Hazbin characters in a different post
Note: I will not be changing any canon sexualities (except for one but you'll understand when I get there) but I will add on to canon sexualities and change some characters from being straight to queer. And the people I don't include have their sexualities the same as in the show. Also you could leave your headcanons in my inbox if you so desired
Tagging some people so they know I'm doing stuff on this blog @reviseyourwhat @darwuzhere @sobeksewerrat @hollowflight-propaganda
...
Moxxie and Millie are a bi4bi couple. Look me in the eyes and tell me Millie is straight. Exactly, you can't. This woman asked Blitzø what sex with Verosika was like with zero filter. Like, come on, they had a perfect opportunity to include a bi4bi couple why didn't they. What was stopping them
And Moxxie is also trans now. We need more trans characters in the show actually
Barbie Wire is now a lesbian 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊 now, I love the fact that there are so many pans in the show, but there aren't hardly enough lesbians
Striker is bi and ace! I found it weird how someone from the crew (can't remember if it was Vivzie or someone else) said how he wouldn't be at a pride parade, but I say no because Striker is literally one of the best characters ("WHY IS IT ALWAYS A SEX THING????") he is so ace coded
And Stella is a lesbian. Remember, Stella was also a victim of a forced marriage. I like the thought of two people being forced into a straight marriage while being gay and a lesbian respectively
While Mammon is ace, he is also demisexual! I have no reasoning for this other than we need more sexualities that are lesser known
Speaking of which, while Vortex is bi, he is also genderfluid! They wear a bracelet to indicate what gender they're feeling that day (blue for guy, pink or purple for girl, and white for nonbinary. And if she wears all the bracelets it means any pronouns and if she wears two it means he's using those two pronouns)
Vassago is a demiboy and uses he/they pronouns
Asmodeus is also demisexual as well as pan (which is already canon)
#also let's take away the whole incest thing between stella and andy (i refuse to spell his name)#it's really long :(#helluva boss criticism#helluva boss critical#helluva boss critique#anti spindlehorse#anti vivziepop#vivziepop critical#vivziepop criticism#vivziepop critique#helluva boss rewrite

I rewrote the scene in Sinsmas where Stella and Andre were reacting to Stolas trying to call Via cuz I thought the original was dumb . . . I also got inspired by people who did the same thing.
The room is quiet, sunlight casting long shadows over velvet furniture. Octavia sits curled in a window seat, thumbing through her Dantalion 6. A soft chime breaks the silence—her phone lights up. “Dad.” Her eyes soften.
Octavia (quietly) ...Dad?
She reaches for the phone—until a pale hand snatches it from her grip.
Stella (her voice sharp)
What are you doing, Octavia?
Octavia reaches for her phone back only for Stella to pull away
Octavia
It’s dad. He’s calling me.
Stella (cool, clipped) No. I won’t have you indulging that disgrace.
Octavia blinks, lips parting in quiet protest. She clutches a pillow to her chest.
Octavia He just wants to talk...
Stella (still calm, with edge) And what do you want from him, hm?
Octavia hesitates. Her voice is barely above a whisper.
Octavia ...I want to talk to him because I miss him.
Stella turns, eyes narrowing ever so slightly. For a moment, silence hangs between them.
Stella (icily composed) He forfeited the right to be missed when he betrayed his title, his bloodline, and his own daughter... all for a pathetic, lowborn imp.
She tosses the phone onto a nearby table like it’s trash. Andrealphus looks up from his book, swirling a glass of wine.
Andrealphus (dryly amused) Oh? Took him this long to crawl back? How touching~.
Stella doesn’t laugh—she paces slowly toward the window, voice dropping into something venomous and elegant.
Stella He didn’t just cheat. He humiliated our house and this family. And now, he thinks he can reappear and play doting father?
Octavia quietly rises.
Octavia He didn’t forget me...
Stella (without turning) No, darling. He simply replaced you—with someone easier.
Octavia doesn’t respond. Her eyes glisten slightly. Without a response, she runs out the room, past two butlers, who silently hang a pristine portrait of Andrealphus where a painting of her and Stolas once hung.
[CAMERA lingers on the portrait. The soft sound of footsteps fades as the door closes.]

The Goetias
The Goetias are a long line of once fallen angels but now considered high ranked hellborn, being there when hell began and keeping an iron grip on their power, in all subjects and forms. With being around so long many families fall under the category of Goetia, not all related to one another. Each family has their own relationship to the deadly sins, and within those the members have their own thoughts.
Paimon
A powerful member of the Ars Goetia he is one of the higher ranking, with magical abilities that truly make him worthy of the title. He's one of the few close to the Magne family in any capacity, called on to assist Lucifer and his family for any number of things, and due to that stays near their castle in his own home, ready to be called upon whenever they need.
One of these was a favor to the prince of the Magne family, who'd been friends with the previous Stolas- a title rather than a name- to care for the egg that the prince's friend was no longer alive to care for. As Paimon had for centuries he took the favor with no question, though once the chick hatched he quickly regretted his choice, leaving the child to the care of his staff instead, in the familial home his parents had left him.
To secure the family's future, as this was not the first Stolas to die young, he arranges a marriage for the prince to give him a cautionary heir, a fact he keeps from the child for many years.
Stolas
Named after his title by a parental figure who he never got to know well, Stolas was already starting his life off roughly. Having a whole manor to himself and the staff also had him growing up mostly separated from the royal life aside from when Goustav, the imp who raised him more than Paimon ever did, made him leave the house in attempts to get him to socialize with others of his status.
His main contact to another Goetia was his bride-to-be, Stella Darvon, and neither ever really cared for the other, though did try to get along for the most part. He taught her what her parents refused to, annoyed at how little they determined she'd need to know as an adult. Up until they had to say their I dos they were going ok, then cracks began to form as the pressure for an heir was truly on them. In this time they began to pull apart from one another, and Stolas found comfort in liquor at this time. By the time Octavia hatched the couple were in their own wings of the manor, both attempting to keep their child in the dark about how deep the issues go, brushing their separate rooms as just wanting their own spaces.
Both know nothing on raising a child but Stolas is insistent that Octavia is to not be raised as either of them were, hating how it had left both of them. He tries to give Octavia all of his attention any time of day, let them live as a child not an heir, however it does lead to them being unprepared for what they'll have to do once of age, but he isn't facing that, as he does most issues.
Stella
From hatching through her childhood only one aspect of her was ever appreciated, her beauty. It was the only thing her family cared for about her, dozens of paintings around their home being of just her dressed in the nice dresses her mother bought her, the makeup applied in delicate strokes that would easily be smudged, the fans she learned the language of, things of the like. Things for her beauty and for her future husband were all she was really taught by her parents, her brother always reassuring her that this would be for the best, that it was what she was born to do!
When she finally met her groom she felt.. nothing about him. Not that spark her family was saying she'd get, she didn't care for him. Though she was grateful when nearing their wedding he caught her up on several things her family failed to teach her, reading, writing, tasks of the similar nature. Despite the good he did, and how her family kept claiming he was perfect for her, she never agreed.
During their attempts to conceive, and his apathy of the whole thing she could only let it grow more and more, like a plant trying to eat her like a fly. So, she turned her focus elsewhere, establishing herself amongst the Goetia she was now of rank with, making friends, throwing parties both large and small to entertain, hook herself in her rank as a safety net. After Octavia hatched she and him grew to an understanding, they'd raise their child unlike their parents, find a way to keep her happy. She didn't go about it as Stolas did, showing her affections in more material ways, getting her clothes she liked, shopping with her, getting into the physical hobbies she had to try to understand her, though that did mean for the first years Stolas was the closer parent. That was fine, she was making her place now.
Octavia
They were never quite like the other children, they'd always known that. Not just in the gender sense, but in their family dynamic, a core memory is coming home from a friend's house the first time and asking their parents why they didn't share a room when their friends' parents did. The lie of them just having very different likes didn't hold up as they grew, but they didn't think about it much. They tried to never really think about it, how weird their family was compared to their friends'.
That was only their parents too, their extended ones ere just as odd. Their grandfather lived far away, almost with the Magne family. heir other grandparents weren't allowed around them, but if their uncle was anything to go by it was for the best. He's always talking about their mother's beauty, and their own, something that ruffled their feathers enough for them to avoid him on his visits. He's grown more mellow, they find they like him much more now.
They'd learned, through overhearing calls and conversations, that they were to be the next Stolas some day. They still don't know all that entails, their father not telling them, but they try to practice for what they do know it involves, the Grimoire, and their magic. Their father takes a liking to their starry magic, though they are much more drawn to the gemstones involved. They've begun adding gems to their clothing since finding this love, though let the sapphires stay as their father's gem.
Andrealphus
Without much coloration and stuck at the level of a marquis he wasn't made to get very far in the ranks, leaving him only to give an heir to carry on the family line, which leads to his preferences in a partner to not matter. He doesn't let it affect him on the outside, keeping his head held high and doing what he can to socially bring himself up the ranks, teaching his younger sister some tricks for her own life.
He still makes odd comments to her, but those are due to how they were raised. Her job is to be beautiful, and a good wife, he compliments her on those things as they're all he notices to. He does care for his sister, not in a regular way of course, but he shows that he does in a handful of ways, from the compliments, to keeping secrets for her from their family, and allowing her to his palace to vent her frustrations.
The last one has a secondary motive however. A part of his domain is astrology, just like the prince his sister has married, and that is the one thing that has truly ruffled his feathers. All he has is ice powers, mathmatics, and astrology and a fucking prince has one of those and so much more. He tries to keep his thoughts to only those close to him, barely keeping his temper when he does visit Stella and her heir. Every single bit of dirt he can get on Stolas he keeps, waiting for when to begin those rumors, though they never truly get far.

Stolas' Family Redesign
Made Paimon into another Stolas and changed Octavia's name so they would have the alternative names given to Stolas, it's a family line thing.
Included Selena, aka Stolas' mom, made Stella not related to Andrealphus anymore and made her into a secretary bird (wrong colors but like, she's a demon so idgaf)

A different way to write Stella to explain her hatred of Stolas and indifference of Octavia:
(Warning not good just putting down ideas)
Context, this would be Stella saying this to Stolas in a fight after he confronts her about her attitude towards Octavia
“Hate her? Of COURSE I hate her! She’s a living breathing reminder of why I! DONT! MATTER! The moment she was born was the moment my life stop having value. My WHOLE LIFE EVERYONE TOLD ME THAT ALL I MATTERED FOR WAS TO GIVE TO AN HEIR TO YOU.
How was I supposed to love her when every time I look at her all I see is how the ONE REASON I EXIST FOR IS DONE. MY WHOLE LIFES PURPOSE IS OVER. You already have an heir but IM STILL HERE AND I DONT HAVE ANYTHING LEFT.
(I’d imagine her at the point of tears by now but being to proud to left them fall from her eyes. This whole thing would be animated and delivered in her usually screeching tone as well)
And you. You always go on about how you tried to make things so much better, poor you poor Stolas who’s life actually matters to the rest of the Goetia beyond the moment an heir is produced. Poor Prince Stolas with his mansion and influence and wealth and reason to exit that HE WONT EVEN ATTEND TO BECAUSE HES TOO BUSY FUCKING AROUND WITH SOME IMP.”
Essentially in this AU she’d still be sort of insufferable and cruel to Stolas but I’m not sure if it’d be to the level of being abuse. I can tell you that I’d place this where the canon confrontation with Stella is in The Circus. Also she wouldn’t dare a put a hand on Stolas or threaten him with Andy. What is a Marquis compare to a Prince? He is nothing.
Essentially since the Circus is a backstory episode it would show that Stella despises Stolas for these reasons
Stolas has a position within the Goetia. His life matters for more than just an heir and it will never stop mattering for as long as he’s alive to preform his duty. This is a contrast against Stella who stopped mattering the moment Octavia existed as she fulfilled her purpose.
Stolas has power. Don’t you think there’s a reason she never displayed any? She should’ve been born like Andrelphus at least a Marquise but she can hardly be considered a Goetia.
Stolas chose to very publicly cheat on her. This matters because her only role within the Goetia is to sleep with him. If she can’t do that and Octavia is already born she will be completely obsolete. To Stella this was a direct insult by Stolas because to her it was saying he’d rather sleep with the lowest class than her. That she can’t even complete the one reason she exists for.
This needs fleshing out but it’s the only way I could think to write that take her from psycho abuser to something closer to a round character

Little bit of my rewrite here...
But what if instead of Stolitz we got Stolas who was an actual villain and Blitzo x Striker. Blitzo hates Stolas but has to keep allowing his abuse (there's no SA in my rewrite) due to him and his workers being poor + he has to take care of a child (Loona is 13). In the Harvest Moon Festival Striker and Blitzo obviously had chemistry. Blitzo was considering joining Striker but ultimately chose not to due to the negative repercussions from Stolas, plus the whole needing to pay Moxxie and Millie. yada yada they stop him he gets away and at this point they're only lingering thoughts in each other's head. Maybe it keeps Blitzo up at night wondering what would have happened if he went with Strikers offer. In Western Energy, obviously we're giving Striker more of a threatening aura. This time it isn't Stella who hired Striker because Striker doesn't accept assassinations from royals. It was probably one of Stolas's imps or another wronged imp. In the end the assassination doesn't get called off, he doesn't live in a cave he lives in an abandoned train that's super cool looking and not totally sad. He also doesn't take Stolas to said train he does in fact go to a cave except he just leaves him tied and doesn't keep him on the tracks. Also there's no statue and no sexual jokes.
Anywayyysss.. he gets close to killing Stolas, he mentions Stella and Octavia and Stolas has a moment of realization though it's a hint too late as he practically ruined his relationship with both of them already. Anyways, Blitzo sends Moxxie and Millie to save him, they do. Striker is confused because he's basically saving Blitzo and yet he's being stopped??? In Oops, Striker is surprised to see that he had not only kidnapped Fizz but he kidnapped Blitzo too. Fizz and Blitzo do not make up in the end and during the fire of their escape Fizz leaves Blitzo behind to which Striker saves him and gets him out of their, apologizing to him and trying to help him get away before Crimson gets upset and tries to hunt them down.
I don't know if Stolas was still with Asmodeus or not due to Stolas not giving him an Asmodean crystal but if he was maybe we could do angst where Stolas goes after Striker and Blitzo in belief that Striker was stealing him and turns him to stone or something along those lines leading to a super manipulative scene with Blitzo and Stolas where he basically guilt trips Blitzo into coming with him and leaving Striker even more upset and hateful towards Stolas. This could also explain why Blitzo saw Striker in Truth Seekers.

THIS REWRITE HAZBIN HOTEL, IS OCTAVIA HERE TOO?
Yes she is, along with Stella! She is much younger and is still a fledgling in this rewrite, but still very smart and values her family. They won’t make an appearance until later on, but I promise you won’t be disappointed by them! We don’t have official refs for them at the moment, so here’s a gif of these lovely ladies!

One more bit of HUNGER-related art before the year's out. This time, I took inspiration from the mansion pictures in "Sinsmas" and figured, hey, "Stella and Via should have one", but since that'll never happen in canon, I'll have to do it here :smirk:
