high tide came and brought you in (and i could go on and on) by silverluminoqity (T, 1/1, 8k) - MOTEL FIC MOTEL FIC MOTEL FIC 🥳 or, mike and will have yet another heart to heart, and some things are revealed. this fic is just so completely heartfelt and UGH i was MELTING the ENTIRE TIME, holy SHIT. probably in my top 3 motel fics EVER tbh.

What are some of my favorite contrasts is SUCH a good and in-depth question that I have NEVER considered! So I'm 110% answering that!

I'd have to say, honestly, my/our System and her System are both so vast, it's hard to summarize everyone on EITHER side into 1 category, and then compare the two. I - myself - tend to be more driven by logic and (to be blunt, because I'm Aro) sex/chemistry, while she's more driven by emotion and (since she's Ace) compatibility. With that alone, I could say that's a basis of fascination for me, but... System-wise? I feel like where we contrast most (that is also my favorite) is just how gentle all of hers seem to be.

There's so much care in her heart and soul that it bleeds into her entire System quite freely, and they're all incredibly supportive! Childe & Xiao support Orneus in all of his endeavors, Scaramouche is so soft and sweet with Sethos, Kaveh cares SO MUCH, she literally has an entity called "The Heart" that keeps one of my little neeners — "The Mind" — in line! Lysander is so beautifully caring for all of his group of idiots, haha

And this isn't to say that mine don't care, or can't be gentle, but mine seem to have more harsh edges, more protectiveness/jealousy, and more forward attitude. They're rougher, but once you're in their good graces, they would kill for you. Meanwhile, I don't think hers would necessarily do that so readily, but they'd certainly tend to the wounds of their lover/s and make sure they're safe and sound by the end of the day...

So I think that's my answer. I love their softness. ❤️

Who has surprised me the most?

Ugh, fuck, probably The Mind, actually. 😩

He literally HAS to hold that title because he's the first one to really just "haunt me" until he revealed himself in full, and I mean this almost literally. The very first thing I could "see" of him were these pair of cherry-red eyes in my dreams, shrouded in darkness, and a smile that cut like a knife...

I actually found him to be really creepy and drew pictures of him AGES ago! His eyes and pitch-black hair, the smile looming forward... He DEFINITELY surprised me! Haha 😅 But since then? Also Marcellius, my favorite Alter, ngl. He and I go WAY back! We're best friends, and I can feel it. No one is above him, really... and he was the first one to really, TRULY "front"! He was the one who actually kicked off the idea i COULD BE a System! So that was a surprise, lol

Then probably Sethos, too. He actually makes my Aro mind understand what it must feel like to truly feel romantic love... Amaymon (for the reason he was the first to make my body feel a critical injury that didn't exist). Sterling, my ghoul, though our idea of "ghouls" is very unique!

Just... a lot of "firsts" 🤔😂

Something that's been positive?

I guess, even though it's not necessarily "educational" learning, I'm glad I now know how many people in this community are willing to reach out and talk. I actually really love it, and so do my boys!

I... guess none of us REALLY knew how much we wanted/needed this. We're constantly asking for queries about ourselves, wanting curiosity and affection—

Wouldn't be surprised if those needs were connected to our trauma.

He is here, with Kev, about as safe as he could be and no one's going to call him pretty or chain and whip him.

It's hard, but at least he's being held by his brother who is stroking his hair slowly, a brother who is as devastated as he is.

And Andrew's there, outside the door desperate to do smth but can't cuz 'Ram's still not comfortable around him.

More from the Buddie Slow Dance Fic. This fic is gonna be soft and sappy 🥰💖. The first song these boys danced to (before this lil snippet starts) is Paper Rings by Taylor Swift cos it’s such a fun song and Buck is a Swiftie and would totally drag Eddie to dance to one of her songs.

“Where’d you learn to dance like that?” Buck is finally able to ask as the song begins to come to a close. He’s been told a few times by Karen and even Eddie himself that the man could dance, but he didn’t think he’d be that good.

“My Abuelo and Abuela loved to dance. Swing, samba, waltz, they just loved dance and taught all of us kids. Every Sunday after church we’d go back to their house and have lunch as a family and then dance. After Abuelo died, Sophia and Adrianna stopped dancing, but I kept it up so I could dance with Abuela.” Eddie begins swaying them gently as a new song begins to play. “Dancing always made her so happy, and even though he was gone, I wanted her to have something of him still. Keep the memory of him alive, you know?”
