mr. dwayne dantés the tycoon enters the stage :D poor klein who loves money is in constant misery having to act as this handsome middle aged man that just spends spends & spends again. its been really funny seeing him want to scream cry & die over it 💀 but it’s all a means to an end for his goal to rise up in the high society, so he has powered through the sorrow of watching his bank account drop~ watching him adapt to this kind of lifestyle like hiring the butler and servants and mansion, carriages, taking lessons, as a sort of authority figure in charge has been really entertaining. it’s also a bit sad to see him reconnecting with his previous friends from when he was sherlock moriarty, but has to act as though he didn’t know them 💔 my lonely guy…. each identity really has its own unique connections huh and there’s rarely crossover

MY GUY OF ALL TIME I was so scared after the last volume that we wouldn’t see his persona as much anymore thank you klein for proving me wrong. HE HAS BECOME INFAMOUS NOW!!! he’s got an absurd bounty of his own, his tales are spread far & wide, even the other tarot club members have fully realized The World is him!! and although dwayne is the current identity in the spotlight rn, gehrman was Still just as active during this whole volume oh I was joyful

every night as dwayne dantés klein performs like he’s gonna go to sleep after his nice expensive bath, but actually he’s gonna secretly transform into gehrman sparrow and teleport out of his room somewhere w creeping hunger and go slaughter criminals in the dead of night, or make arrodes (who he can communicate with through mirrors!) use an illusion as if he’s sleeping to go on some other stealth operation. that contrast is hilarious helppp he is 100% on both vibes 😭 plus since gehrman is equivalent to The World he’s always present at the tarot club and gets commissions and missions from them! my guy klein is booked and busy!!

like I said in a previous post, it’s such an experience having my favorite character be my favorite character be my favorite character be my favorite character be my favorite character. they’re all klein but also not, I love klein as klein he is the best ever, but I also love him Separately. like gehrman is the best ever too… I consider the identities all as separate characters I love for themselves while simultaneously also the same guy because I know they’re the same—uogghhoghogh klein is simply the character ever he’s so likeable in every form he takes. im still in the middle of reading this novel and yet im so serious he might be approaching on the #1 spot of my favorite characters across all media list. actually Crazy im obsessed with him

anyway I could talk about klein aka the fool aka sherlock aka gehrman aka dwayne here for 10000 years but back to reviewing in timeline-order

gehrman sparrow & alger’s mysterious island date finally happened! they went there through teleporting <3 I liked the adventure a lot, they have a natural teamwork!! but never let alger sing or gehrman will shoot him in the neck <3

the temple there had some kind of connection to amon…. the picture drawn in the inner tomb represents the lord of storms, eternal blazing sun, god of wisdom & the true creator. all of them were consuming the city of silver creator. that was wild it exploded my brain bc it revealed the last 3 unnamed kings of angels this whole time were in fact 3 of the current well-known gods who had gotten an upgrade after betraying the city of silver creator…! frightening

the meticulous nature of klein strikes again with his time spent investigating & scoping out the saint samuel cathedral as dwayne dantés to try and rob the antigonus family notebook from them 👍 the day to start the operation began and his plans were completely solid, the tension was high he was seconds away from grabbing it— and then that sealed artifact dead angel thing kidnapped him 😭

and so started one of my fav arcs of the entire novel so far

I was reading the heist before bed one night like “yeah I’ll go to sleep after he steals the notebook” SIKE! klein is banished to the shadow realm! and now I can’t stop reading

guys I was So scared for him I had to know he’d make it through this safely 😣 because suddenly he’s faced with a situation of being extremely nerfed w zero connection to the grey fog, in an eerie and deadly shadow town *shivers* it was so spooky to read in the dark. his former enemies were there too like mr. A and the demigod demoness who was behind the great smog of backlund, she got him 🤏 near to death. he lost his ghost pokemon marionette senor in the process :( it was the closest brush he’s ever had with losing control too my heart was pounding

and then they started just Dropping Major Reveals one after the other?? I stayed up all that night to read this, goodbye my sleep schedule. some of these reveals were literally questions raised from the first chapter of this book so I was losing it

like wtf do you mean ZARATUL is there?!??!? why are you appearing already old man! he split his body and projected part of himself here while the rest of him turned into a monster? the ravings of “hornacis flegrea“ are from the creepy hanging dead marionette people in the shadowy cathedral??? and that “treasure” + visions calling those of the seer pathway to the hornacis mountain peak in the first place is connected directly to this shadow realm, but it’s infact actually a trap leading to the Antigonus family angel who lost control and became a monster and every dead person here in this cathedral is the victim of said misdirections??? HUHHHH WAAAAAAHT AJDJFJGM. arrodes’s info telling klein where to get bizarro sorcerer’s formula were actually all leading klein to the same place & situation!

THE SYMBOL FOR THE ESCAPE DOOR WAS A LIE. FRANK LEE CREEPY MUSHROOM CLUTCH. OKAY IM DISTURBED AGAIN 🍄 THERE IS A CARD OF BLASPHEMY NEXT TO THE THRONE OF THE TEMPLE IN THE PEAK BY THE ANTIGONUS FAMILY ANGEL MONSTER AND ITS CORRESPONDING TO THE SEER PATHWAY—

SEQUENCE 0 IS CALLED THE FOOL?????????????

I READ THAT AND MY EYES NEARLY POPPED OUT OF MY SKULL HELLO WHAT THERE IS NO WAY????????????

WHAT IS THIS . WHAT ARE WE DOING!!!!!

EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED EVERYTHING HAS MEANING from the second that tarot card was pulled for him by the fortune teller (debatable), THIS WAS A PATH KLEIN WAS ON. HE PICKED THAT AS HIS NAME HIMSELF DUDE. ITS THE ACTUAL NAME? IS IT HIS FATE? OR THE RESULTING AFFECT OF MULTIPLE SYNCHRONOUS FACTORS COMBINING TOGETHER? HIS TRUE DESTINY?

yeah so I was pretty tired the next day 🫡

seeing klein have to put his mind into maximum overdrive without the safety to rely on his “cheats” like the grey fog, completely alone just with his own power, was fantastic. he lost his marionette but in comparison what he gained from this ordeal was extremely good!!! he knows the truth about the hornacis mountain peak, about zaratul’s situation (who is free now btw……… uh oh……) he exacted revenge on the killers behind the great smog of backlund, he got the potion formula for sequence 4 bizarro sorcerer, he discovered the sequence 0 of his pathway is The Fool, and he even got an awesome new upgraded creeping hunger with more slots and abilities!!!!!!!! despite the rather horrifying and dark sections there was also fun parts, the developments were very tricky and unexpected— some were according to my speculations but other things were very much not and it shocked me. it was honestly a perfect arc. it also makes sense to me now how amon would be interested in the fool…. he most likely knows that’s the sequence 0 name of seer too, he’s lived a long time and would surely be intrigued with that right

and after this due to the lingering trauma from the incident klein had to consult miss justice audrey for psychological help for the first time which was 🥹 she told him to not give up, don’t keep everything inside & to wish for happiness pleaseee I will cry she’s so sweet

LEONARD FINALLY FIGURED OUT THAT KLEIN IS STILL ALIVE UEUEUGHFJhhhyuUHOUGHHHHHRAGAHHFHFHFHHHH😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

he finalllyyy connected the dots that his old friend resurrected and is sherlock moriarty and gehrman sparrow. he even went all the way to tingen to dig up klein’s grave to check for sure if he was there and found it empty… URGH URHG urgh dies. leonard became aware that klein is connected with the fool and that his goal is the same as his own— to take revenge on the people who destroyed their team and ohhh he was Sooo emotional about it. my heart broke reading the way his eyes teared up and his hands trembled when he thought about klein? please its so 😭😭😭😭 oh my god I love them 🥲🥹💖 and klein got in contact with him as his identity dwayne (which leonard thinks is azik), trying to protect leonard and warn him about dangers from a distance. I weep 😭😭

speaking of azik, the stuff with him afterwards gosh my heart Again. so his soul was fractured into two by Death…… the answers he had been seeking all this time was that heartbreaking truth. he successfully found the other half of his soul, but it had already become a horrible monster :(((

I can’t imagine just being faced with That creepy creature other version of you, and knowing if you rejoin with it, this missing piece which you’d been searching hundreds and thousands of years for, it will completely change your whole being into a monster too. one that is cold, cruel, and insane, you will lose all your humanity. but if you don’t, you will continue to reincarnate repeatedly in the immortal torment cycle, endlessly losing and regaining your memories 😔

it was such a close call for a minute there bc he was drawn in against his will, but after being given a set of options azik made the incredibly difficult choice to give up that piece of his soul forever 🥲😭 I am happy he did because I really didn’t want him to turn evil, but gosh the sacrifice was huge wasn’t it

ultimately azik didn’t want to lose himself, his humanity, feelings of love and happiness, his beautiful memories with his children and his loved ones. as a result he will be doomed to forget again & again once more but at least this time it was by his decision right…? 😭 klein is there to write a letter to help him remember this time too, so maybe it’s not so bad…….. ough. that’s beautiful I cries 💔

SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN WATCHING KLEIN/THOSE CLOSE TO HIM???? HE IS AN EVERNIGHT BLESSED…… HE WAS SINCE HE TOUCHED THE SWORD BACK IN VOLUME 1. HEY!

and she now controls the artificial death I guess :0

I had many thoughts up to this point so before I get to ranting about the finale of the volume lemme go through them

first, klein adventuring in the southern continent!!! return of danitz and anderson!! (who’s been suffering recently, poor guy) klein turned a monster pathway beyonder into his marionette which gave him control of fate abilities, And turned admiral hell ludwell into his marionette too!!! thank you azik :3 the news spread like wildfire and gehrman sparrow easily gets more famous and feared, as he should mhm 🙂‍↕️

now I had this little wondering since before which I’ll mention— the spirit world colored lights. I know that they can sense a slight abnormality on klein as shown by yellow light before, but I’m curious how they would treat The Fool if they directly met him? because he is the existence that rules above the spirit world, above the grey fog, would they be his subjects then?

ALSO KLEIN THE WORLD DWAYNE DANTES MET AUDREY AND THEY R WORKING TOGETHER NOW HEHEHEHEHE I loooove when he meets his tarot club members 💖 I need her to meet him as gehrman sparrow in the real world now

and seriously every chapter that goes by I get more concerned as to where amon is 😭 like he is directly trying to track down the fool’s believers in backlund. he is Around.

anon feels creepy to me in such a unique way like a storm constantly looming on the periphery. his brief appearances are enough to make people literally jump up and run for the hills Like. him just being in backlund made leonard + pallez & klein instantly gtfo. he’s been the only entity capable so far of sticking his hand directly into the grey fog. all of these super ominous vibes surround him, and yet the last I saw of him he was casually having dinner at a random backlund pub???? the juxtaposition????? guy has a sense of he doesn’t gaf, he’s enigmatic which is even More eerie imo. it feels like any minute his avatar will suddenly appear and attack, and from the impression im forming so far it feels like he’ll casually do it like he’s ordering a coffee. idk yet if im right w that but I just Know the encounter is going to happen at some some point 100%. it’s just a matter of when…. the apprehension.

also y’know I never expected to see zaratul appear before the azik memory plotline reached its conclusions, and I certainly didn’t expect to see the azik conclusions happen before will auceptin’s birth. I no longer have any ability to predict where this novel goes and that’s beautiful.. I did love the progression of how things went though. the structure of having azik’s matter completed, leading directly to the evernight goddess reveal whose hints were scattered in since volume 1, leonard’s realizations, and all of these tying together into the situation regarding ince zangwill was so smooth

anyway I started getting scared bc I felt it was the calm before the storm and

Boy Was I Right !

THE CONFRONTATION IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG FINALLY HAPPENED AAAAGRGRHHRAHHHHHH I was Enraged at that man during the whole battle. I legit started to wildly type annotations to express my disgusted reaction while reading I wanted him dead 💀

klein marionetting himself to escape the notice of 0-08 that’s my intelligent friend right there 👍👍 + LEONARD MADE ME CRY. BUT HE CHANTED THE FOOL’S NAME!! GET HIM IN THE TAROT CLUB NOWNOWNOWNOWWWW

when klein finally appeared on the battlefield in person, as klein moretti, I Freaked Out, the entire scene of klein executing Ince Zangwill was SO PEAK SOOOO PEAKKKK OH MY GOD 💥💥💥💥 EACH BULLET SHOT HE DEDICATED TO A DIFFERENT PERSON THAT INCE ZANGWILL HURT IN THE PAST OHHH IT WAS AWEOSME HEHRKGKGG AUDHFJGIGJGFBW 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥HSVFNFIFJFHDBDB DBFBFFBFHCBFBSKWODJGJGIDISICFJEBFBFHRKDJFJHHGGGHOOOUFJGJGNGN AFBNFFKKBDAAJNFE I DIED

THE DANCE I SOBBED SO MUCH HE REALLY TRANSFORMED INTO DUNN SMITH TO GIVE DALY A LAST DANCE WITH HER LOVE ONE FINAL TIME

in the middle of THIS klein fully digested marionettist, under the watch of adam (who stole the quill btw, that’s not good…..) he finished the grand performance of killing a high level creature which was the ritual condition, finished the dance and drank the bizarro sorcerer potion THEN HIS WHOLE SELF LITERALLY RIPPED APART ??? RIGHT WITHIN ALL THAT EMOTIONAL DAMAGE HES GOTTA PIECE HIS MAGGOT-SELF BACK TOGETHER R U SERIOUS? GOD IT WAS REALLY HORRIFYING TO VISUALIZE THAT IN MY HEAD BUT HE DID IT HE FINALLY SUCCEEDED IN BECOMING A DEMIGOD YAYAhaha👏👏👏😭😭😭

within this most agonizing grieving way possible, the leonard & klein reunion finally happened. they finally talked to each other after a year guys omg 😃🫰

leonard tearfully asked if he’d come back and then klein Turned Away, said he can’t return anymore, and Left. 🙂

I’ve been distracted all day since last night w dry eyes making this post from my notes while repeating the scenes in my head. the emotional catharsis and tragedy was excellent it affected me really hard <\3

everything that happened from beginning to end of this volume was amazing, it was easily my top favorite volume so far. the last part is certainly my #1 favorite scene ever ❤️‍🩹 I love this novel so much it’s the most specialest bestest ever

there was lots more stuff going on like the red angel medici, the marauder pathway girl hazel with her rat teacher, the psychology alchemists stuff with audrey, but idk if I can form any additional theories abt that right now or analysis of any characters other than what I already have written here, I’m emotionally exhausted 😭 I just need to start the next volume and know what happens okay that cliffhanger was mean. and in this next volume I’d better see my boy leonard joining the tarot club!!! c’mon he’s basically there already he chanted the fool’s name, him and klein can’t just separate like that again. let me have this please. my lotm playlist needs more songs as well, especially some emotional ones now, im working on it and just sitting with the feelings more. :’) if anyone has any recommendations lmk

you were sleep deprived, to say the least.

violet bags formed droops underneath your eyes, followed by the weighted heaviness your eyelids held with each blink threatening to be longer and longer each time. your back was almost curled into a "c," slumped onto your desk as your head was held in your left hand, pencil being grazed upon paper in your right. exhaustion devoured the whole point of the study session: to hold as much material in your brain as you could about the material for your final exam in two days.

you started off strong at around 5:00 in the afternoon. the material was able to be grasped and understood as if it was truly a part of you that was forgotten and remembered. however, the longer the you stared at the numbers and symbols on your notebook, the more your brain turned as mushy as a rotten apple. one redbull turned into three cans, in addition to a shot of espresso taken at around 12:00 in the morning, as you delved deeper into the madness of the units you learned in math.

now, you originally were going to do this completely on your own. you've done it before; actually, you've done it so many times that it's almost expected of you to procrastinate until the last minute to study and review, no matter how many times it ends with regret, twenty pages of notes, and sleep deprivation. however, after posting about how much you've been struggling with a certain subset of problems given in the study guide, logan, a boy from the same math class as you, texted.

he told you he could help you if he needed: that he could come over and assist you with your studying, since he understood the material quite well. you believed him, since you sat next to him constantly. each time papers and tests were being handed back to you, your eyes lingered and glanced at his paper, an A+ written in slanted cursive each time at the top of his paper. though you've studied by yourself many times and each time got a knowledgable, thoughtful grade, you began to lose hope in yourself. so, logan showed up at your doorstep at around 1:00 in the morning.

you both crammed and retained as many formulas, problems, and tactics as you could as the sun began to rise slowly and steadily, showing and revealing itself to the residents living in the northern hemisphere. by the time the sun was fully up, around 7:30 in the morning, you told him that you could take it from here and that he was free to leave now.

as you walked him out, your roommate sat on the brown, leather couch of your shared apartment, binge watching some random show he found on the netflix account you both had access to. this wasn't an unusual sight; hamzah streamed quite often, most of the time resulting in all-nighters or a scattered sleep schedule. however, the sight in front of him was the unusual one: who the fuck is that blonde haired boy who was in your room, leaving at 7:42 in the morning? his eyes widened at the thought of another man stayed in the same room as you for the entire night. that was practically his room; hamzah had clothes in there, as well as his monkey plush that the both of you got together. another man was practically in his space and he did not take it lightly.

"bye logan. thanks for all the help last night. i really appreciate it," you thanked, genuinely grateful that he was able to help you with your studies.

he smiled a toothy grin, "yeah, anytime! just call me whenever you need me. i'll be there."

his backpack, full of textbooks and notebooks from the night, was the last thing hamzah saw before the door was shut and his roommate's body was turned towards him. he noticed how rough you looked; eyes half-shut and lidded with an intense look of sleepiness laced into your gaze, as well as a yawn coming from out of your mouth before you began to converse with him.

he smiled at you, momentarily forgetting the fact that you just walked a boy out of your apartment, "morning, pretty."

you and hamzah's relationship was weird; you weren't really dating, yet, you weren't really only friends either. there was an certain unspoken tension between the two of you; a tension that kept you connected with string, yet couldn't be cut even if you had the sharpest pair of scissors available. you enjoyed his presence, he enjoyed yours. however, you both also didn't want to ruin what you already had, so it was a simple understanding of each other that never got to be turned into spoken word.

"morning, hamzah. did you sleep at all?" you asked him.

he turned down the volume of the show in front of him with the remote, "huh? oh, nah. i was streaming 'til like, 6, or something. who's he?"

you looked around the room for another body besides yours and the boy in front of you, "who's who?"

"the guy you just walked out of the apartment," his voice had a slight essence of an attitude in it, "the one that looks like fuckin butters from south park."

you laughed, taking a seat next to him and resting your head on his shoulder , "that's logan. he was just helping me out with something last night."

"how long was he here?"

"he came here around, like, 1 in the morning. why?"

"'nothin," he said, turning the volume back up.

logan became a regular guest at the house, oddly showing up mostly at weird hours of the morning. most of the time, it was you answering the knock on your wooden front door, greeting him and going to your room to study some more. on the contrary, the times where hamzah was conveniently in the living room watching a show or editing a video and the door knocked, he became slightly hostile. each time, no matter where or what you were doing, he wouldn't answer the door. the first couple times, you didn't realize it; you thought that possibly hamzah could've not heard the knock because of how loud he watches his shows. however, you soon realized that he simply just wouldn't get up. you shrugged it off, letting him in after he texted you that he was outside the door.

currently, your exams are on pause for the break that you were given from school. your sleep schedule was in ruins, either sleeping at 6 in the morning or 5 in the afternoon. you noticed that throughout the break, hamzah was distant, only occasionally asking you if you wanted some food that he was cooking or if the wifi was out. you missed him. you didn't know what was wrong, nor what was happening. his short responses and leaving the room whenever you entered was confusing you. a week ago, you two were cuddling on the couch and he was forcing you to watch horror movies with him. now, he leaves the room whenever any part of your body touches the wooden floor of your living room. at 12:00 in the morning, you decided that enough was enough.

you knocked onto his bedroom door, before letting yourself in. his eyes remained locked onto the screen in front of him, not caring to recognize that you were now in his room. he seemed standoffish; he seemed cold. it was like the man that was once radiating a certain warmth from within himself was extinguished and watered down. it worried you, really. you wanted him back, though he wasn't yours.

"are you streaming?" you asked him.

his eyes remained stagnant and his voice spoke to you in the same monotonous tone, "no."

"do you wanna go do something?"

"like?"

you sat on his bed next to him, "i dunno. anything."

"can't. busy."

you were tired, however, not tired in a way that can be fixed with sleep. in fact, you didn't know how this could be fixed. though the connection you two had was never truly spoken about and simply understood through actions and gestures, you finally decided to speak about it.

"hamzah."

"what?"

"what's wrong? did something happen?"

he finally made eye contact with you, "nothing's wrong, nothing happened."

"you've been so distant, something's wrong. y'know you can talk to me about anything, right-"

he swiveled his chair towards you, frustration painted as a mural onto his face, "jesus fucking christ, dude. just because i don't wanna go out- it doesn't mean anything."

you were taken aback, "it's not even just today. it's this whole week. did i do something wrong?"

"if you wanna go out so bad, why don't you go ask logan?"

a switch suddenly flipped into your head; hamzah was jealous. putting yourself in his shoes, you understood why he was; not only was he jealous, but he was rightfully so. you didn't realize that your nights were now always spent studying and memorizing instead of spending time with him.

"why would i go ask logan?"

hamzah scoffs, "why wouldn't you go ask him? he's over almost every fucking time i try to go ask you if you wanna go get food or go watch a movie. you might as well date the kid if you're gonna be sleeping with him every night while dragging me along."

"hamzah-"

impulse struck your brain like lightning on the highest mountain peak. hamzah wouldn't shut up. yet, he's never really shut up a day in his life. so, you did the obvious. you grabbed his cheeks, forcefully making his face directly in front of yours. your lips landed on his, a kiss of desperation and risky acts.

you pulled away, not realizing what you were doing until after it happened. you both looked at each other wide-eyed and shocked, almost as if a total stranger kissed both of you.

"fuck- i'm sorry- i don't know why i did that-"

he grabbed your face with both of his hands, cupping your cheeks in each one. his lips, once again, settled on yours. this kiss was different; the way you kissed him was spontaneous and filled with uncertainty. his, on the other hand, was rough and needed. you never realized how truly needy hamzah was until the moment where he pulled you onto his lap, straddling his lap. his hands made its way up and down your body. his tongue, tasting like the mint gum he was chewing before you came into his room, entered your mouth as if it lived there previously. you both were upset at each other, however, with every moment where your lips were touching, it was like you completely forgot why you both were tense. you attempted to pull away; you remembered that you still needed to explain everything. however, you watched as his lips grew magnetic to yours, attempting to chase after your mouth like he would die from even a split second apart.

"hamzah. i don't like logan."

his eyes turned soft compared to the gaze he gave you beforehand, "did you sleep with him?"

"no, baby, i didn't."

his heart melted at you calling him baby. you could see it in his eyes and the yearning expression he gave you.

"what were you guys doing at, like, 3 in the morning?"

"i've been struggling with math. i don't really know anyone else that's good at it, either. so when he offered to help me study, i took him up on it. it's at weird hours because he has work."

guilt began to eat hamzah up. he realized he had just scolded you for something that his brain made him believe, as well as the fact that he could have simply talked to you about it.

"i'm sorry. i'm actually so sorry- i don't know why i didn't just ask you. i just assumed that he was like, i don't know, a sneaky link or something."

you kissed him on the cheek, lovingly, "it's okay. i should've told you that he was just helping me study. i'm sorry, too."

you stayed there for a solid hour, with you still straddling his waist in his gaming chair with your legs. it wasn't sexual at all; in fact, it was the opposite. your arms wrapped around his neck as his arms wrapped around your back. your face held shelter in the area between his neck and his shoulder, finding solitude within the boy in front of you. it was silent, until hamzah decided to break the quietude filling the room.

"do you still wanna go out?"

you removed your face from his neck to look at him, "hamzah, it's one in the morning."

"so? i thought you wanted to go somewhere- get out of this apartment."

you gave him a peck on the lips, "no. i just wanted an excuse to be with you."

i love thinking about my convoluted and extremely made up from nothing interpretation of Amy Rose as The experience of living as both a trans girl and a mobian in human society

like i loveee thinking about the implications of the mixing of humans and mobians in sonic media. and then theres the idea of mobians who live among humans/attempt to assimilate in human society vs mobians that live in the wild/don't care /live among other mobians etc. and i thiiiiink i didn't made up and it's actually real the fact that humans have a certain bigotry against mobians at times? so it makes mobians a sort of minority group in majority human areas

and i like to use that as an explanation to Amy's changes in design as she ages. Classic Amy is a child who seems to interact with no humans other than Eggman in classic media and seems to live "wild" along other classic characters. that showscases in how she has her quills in what i assume is her "natural" state, looking like regular hedgehog quills like sonic has. she also has a back quill, as i assume is also natural

and then there's Modern Amy, who has her new design debuted in the game where she's stated to live in a human apartment. so i like the idea she purposefully styles her quills like that because it looks like a human hair style. and that does also include that she. shaved? surgically removed? her back quill because it looks less "unnatural" by human standards.

i wasn't the one who made up the idea that she removed her back quill, i saw in a post of somebody going "male hedgehogs have back quills, female hedgehogs don't (showing examples from sonic media like archie), so amy removed hers because she's trans" but i like to think instead that all hedgehogs do have back quills (it's what makes sense, after all) but that amy is in the intersection of not only wanting to be seen a girl, but having a certain pressure to fit human feminity standards, thus the quills change even though that's just what her hedgehog body would look like Regardless

AND I THINK ☝ that includes Rouge as well. i also like to headcanon Rouge as transfem and coincidentally she also both canonically lives among humans (as a spy in human goverment) and is the epitome of human femininity and beauty standards. i also didn't make this one up but i saw someone drawing a comic once about the idea Rouge looks like her body has no fur because she purposefully shaves her body fur to look like she has sleek human-like skin (just like real life human women are expected to shave their body hair anyways?) plus her use of makeup and general expression of hyperfeminity and sexuality (and even of human ideals like obsession with money?)

So my thesis is. i guess unfortunately human beauty and gender standards hit even little colorful furries. and they have to conform to it. and thats actually a little scary. but i think amy and rouge both find happiness in presenting how they prefer even if their personal preferences are different to what other mobians not in human society would be. AND I THINK ☝ that makes for interesting worldbuilding and headcanon potential in relation to how different mobians choose to assimilate or not

Miles to Go ? Freak Fae Court AU ? 👀👀👀

ah ok! so i was absolutely enchanted by the blog myles canonically has in the fowl twins, and i thought it would be cute to explore his character in a social media-style fic with his blog posts! i think he would especially enjoy vagueposting about how silly his older brother is. to me he’s the “that’s why i’m dad’s favorite and you’re not🤣” brother towards artemis but like. through the guise of scientific articles. their academic beef is extensive

a roadblock i’ve hit with this one though is that myles is much smarter than i, so i think it would take a lot of effort to make his posts sound as in-character as i want them to be.

for the freak fairy court, i’ve been reading a lot of fairytales lately and i was thinking i would absolutely loveee to write a dark fairytale style fic for artemis. the working plot is that in a sort of alternate fantasy universe, the fowls are bound by a debt to the People in which they must give up a child to them- so artemis would have to undergo tests of intelligence in order to escape the fae court, otherwise he belongs to them forever. luckily he might have a fairy or two on his side (cough holly)…..

i think i titled it “freak fae court au” probably because i’ll want to include mind-trip dream sequences and/or violent horror elements. as usual😔

after to winter, fall is my favorite season. the fresh smell of academia in the air combined with the cool autumn breeze always does something to me. every year i find myself rotating towards a couple shows in particular that give me a real good push into that fall mood. pretty little liars, gossip girl, and vampire diaries are just staples in my household once the end of august rolls around. this year however i’ve noticed they also have taken an inspiration on to my autumn fashion choices. today im going to a deep dive on things that make my fall fashion #soextra ᯓᡣ𐭩

boots

starting with boots because i absolutely loveeeee boots! i tend to incorporate lots and lots of different types of boots into my fall wardrobe. riding boots, knee highs, uggs , gogo boots you name im wearing it. (except ankle boots, i personally really dislike those) aria’s boots in pretty little liars always catch my attention. i adore the way she styles books with high socks that just seem to stop right above where the boot ends.

sweaters

i love a good sweater in the fall. my personal fav type of sweater right now is an off the shoulder. the visibility of shoulder js adds that #soextra touch i need. this also leaves room to add a really cute necklace.

stockings

layering is sooo important during the colder months. not just because its a cute addition but because it also keeps you warm! its okay to add some practicality to an outfit because no one enjoys walking around with a sore throat and stuffy nose. so having stockings under a skirt or even a dress is my go to for when the air gets chilly. they can also add an incredibly professional, modest, and classy touch to your outfits. If you are going school, work, or if thats simply how you want to dress stockings are perfectttt.

jackets

like i mentioned earlier in the fall it gets pretty chilly so grabbing a jacket before you run out the door is very necessary. It doesn’t matter what kind bonus points though if its a leather jacket that looks like it could be from your vampire bf’s closet.

purses

i loveee big purses. they are #soextra ,the little ones never really did it for me because i have so much stuff i need with me on the daily. i do feel though that fall and winter time are the perfect time to bring out the bigger bags. summer just gives more smaller handbag vibes to me.

Personally, my hair isn't super thick, so I can't guarantee any of this will work for you. Please keep that in mind☆

I'd recommend trying a frizz-free mousse! Specifically, one designed for wavy or curly hair! I say curly since, even though your hair is wavy, curly hair mousse will help your waves a TONNN and make them POP☆ The frizz-free ones will also help shape your waves instead of making them just puffy and messy-looking, yknow?

(If you don't know what mousse does, it basically shapes and styles your hair without being crunchy like hairspray or gel! It's also very good for your hair, depending on which brand you use♡)

I mentioned this product very recently in another post, but I LOVEEE Shea Moisture's coconut and hibiscus curl mousse! It's done WONDERS for my curls!!

I'd also recommend a hair masque! They have a ton of different types, ones for shine, ones for hydration, ones for curls, etc! I'd try the ones for curls if you want! It can help strengthen your hair and prevent frizz, which will in turn help keep a pretty shape♡ You use hair masques everytime you shower and the more you use it, the more you'll see positive benefits!

Bonnets are also great for waves and curly hair! If you sleep in them, they can help protect your waves and prevent frizz in the morning! Unlike what most people think, bonnets are for everyone! So don't feel afraid to use one☆

Silk pillowcases are also much better for your hair than cotton or any other fabric! It'll help with frizz and protecting your waves

OUAI is also a great brand for curly/wavy hair! I personally used to use their wave spray (back before I embraced my full curls), and it worked really well! It binds your waves and makes them pop without them being too curly

jim was a blueprint for me i think he really resonated with me more than any other disney character LOL. i was obsessed with jack sparrow for a while but that was more "omg i wanna be like him" (minus the alcoholism. and womanizing). jim though... jim was there and i was like... thats ME

ive wanted to get that queer ass haircut for years now but ive always chickened out for a multitude of reasons. i have it now though! kind of. my ponytail is higher up as opposed to his rat tail bc i wasnt doing that (i cut my own hair now anyways... i dont want to maintain something like that)

james newton howard is a Legend to me. he also did the music for atlantis which is, predictably, another favorite. but all his work i think is phenomenal. ive mentioned before but im kind of insane about instrumental music so this is just something i have strong opinions about lol. even his work on Bad Movies are still songs i really love. running on raindrops from Raya? so good (the movie... is not!). i have 12 years later on REPEAT. and one of my favorite animators is sergio pablos who did work on dr. doppler. im obsessed with the movie klaus (i watch it every holiday season) and i was all for it the Moment they put out a teaser trailer bc i immediately recognized sergio pablos's style

so i have 2 main jane concepts (but so so many more) i call them pigtails jane and raggedy jane and u probably know that if u have seen my posts b4!! they have very different vibes but i love both of them so much

so pigtails jane is kind of a combination of citadel jane, roxys jane, ofc jane, and jungle jane i feel. does prayer hands a lot bc i love the religious aspects of her character and want to turn that up a lot.. looks very cutesy but the way she moves is terrifying, moves a lot like roxys jane because i like the idea that jane does Not know how to walk because she is basically learning how to be a person.. a higher, echoey voice, very very sad with big eyes and always reaching out at things

costume would have intricate detailed mary janes, knee high lacy socks, white ribbon bloomers, a wig similar to this but only half up, with black ribbons tied into the pigtails. makeup includes long pointed/manhua lashes, painted sad eyebrows, big lips, sort of circle blush, black sclera contacts (not covering the whole eye, just making eyes look bigger)

a super over-the-top white lacy blouse with a little black bow and baggy sleeves. the dress idea changes a lot but right now its something along these lines, but purely grey (not greenish like the picture). also rosary-style earrings

and then raggedy jane is much much freakier, with barely any control over her limbs, also sort of like roxys jane but without the "robotic" sort of aspect. stumbles and trips over herself a lot and stands up one limb at a time... carries her doll around by one leg and is so so scared of everything. dont get me wrong though she DOES bite

costume includes red mary janes, white ankle socks (or depending on the full costume, blue striped ones), bandaids on her knees, white bloomers, and a brushed out curly bubble braid/pigtail wig like this. makeup is freckles, lots and lots and lots of blush, reddish lipstick with an elongated smile, super chunky lashes and black eyes.

still stumped abt her uniform, but here are a couple concepts. i know i want it to have some sort of blue in it, as well as baggyish long sleeves. i loveee this first one for her because i think its very doll-ish. i would also really love her to have some sort of apron, since thats a classic raggedy ann style, but idk if that would work bc of the whole uniform thing.. HOWEVER it would be cool if everyone wore a blue uniform and she wore the same but with an apron on top.. would b cute i think

yes!! hello!! been a while! Here's some of the art i've done throughout the summer and winter vacation + everything in between!

drew this on Paint! I really liked how i did the hair here, damn shame i still don't know how to shade skin + the fact that you can't save on paint to continue where you left off. You can distinctly see my artstyle taking place.

finally found THE first drawing of Radi (now changed to Callum.. yes, yes, i know. Drastic change. I changed him from persona to OC with a story, so i thought it would be weird to have a character with the same name as me!), look how ugly his ass used to be LMAOOOO. You'll see that i change a lot of stuff about him, namely adding a goatee, making his hair shorter, and changing his normal red shirt into a football jersey with a 69 on it. (I know, childish, but he's a childish character.)

Don't know chainsaw man, but i saw this "Draw this in your style" on pinterest (had no intentions on joining the dtiy lol). I like how she looks here! Unfortunately, all of my OCs are men, so this artstyle didn't really stick. + peep the shamelessly traced hand LMFAO.

Loveee this one, but yet again, didn't stick with the artstyle for some reason. I was attempting to use all the preset colors of ibis haha. WIll definitely come back to the style, though. It looks really nice

Oh hohoh, a friend! New OC! Remember how i mentioned Callum is now in a story? Well, Sebastian here is his partner in an agency! What kind? Don't know! But what i do know is that they go on cool missions together as the best of friends hehehe. He's like Cal's antithesis: Mature, polite.. very demure. Also, used a new lineart technique

Used the same lineart technique on Cal. Finally gave him that fuckass mustache + goatee. Also added a mole. He looks more like the dude from my first post. But as you see, i still haven't changed the way his hair looks. This will be covered in my next post, because i started shifting more into physical art. I just find it simpler to doodle with a pencil, idk. + peep the slight artstyle change : stopped drawing the sclera. Or should i say comeback, considering i changed, then changed back? Whatev!

Hi! Okay this is part 2. Sorry it's a few days late lol. I also wanted to mention how cool the new Playbill styles for the anniversary are! I've seen a few of them and it's awesome that they're all mostly different and creative. I'm not always a fan of the old just black and white style but when it works..it works and sometimes it's pretty cool or matches the vibes haha. I am excited for Gypsy and Sunset Boulevard is getting pretty good reviews too..or at least Nicole. I'm also interested in Maybe Happy Ending with Darren Criss. Anyway yes everyone in the show and the Notebook is soo talented and I hope they have long careers. I could totally see John Cardoza in any of the roles you mentioned. Also I heard some people say that Solea makes a great Satine too.

Oh okay. Did you listen to Urinetown yet? What have you been listening to? I think I have maybe heard a few songs but that's all. But I am familiar with Spelling Bee that they are doing performances of and that also seemed like a great cast. If you haven't listened, I would recommend it.

Omg what did you think of the Death Becomes Her movie? I liked How do you imagine the musical and the songs? It's weird cuz the music in the movie seemed suspenseful but the movie itself didn't have that vibe so I just wonder .how it will be. .especially with the stunts and what the songs will sound like. But I think it has potential and definitely more of a fun show with a good cast so I hope the songs are good. It was fun to imagine where the songs would be.

I'm sorry you didn't like Lempicka. It seems we have some of the same thoughts. It just didn't stick with me for some reason but I know others liked it. What did your friend like about it so much? and why. But I also watched three bootlegs this week and I'm excited to tell you. That was also part of the reason I was replying late. i really like the new playbill styles! do you have a ranking of your favorites? i posted this a while ago but i can't remember which ones i ranked at the top, oops! i am so so so excited for gypsy; my best friend and i keep joking that this is a sondheim/gypsy revival family and not a sunset boulevard one (even though i've heard nicole is incredible). i was reading the sunset reviews, and everyone universally seems to love nicole. i just personally am not a fan of jamie lloyd's ... staging ... or the gimmick (i think it's just stupidly arrogant to do in new york). i'm intrigued by maybe happy ending too!! i can't wait to hear more about it. have you seen the reviews for r+j? i was a little shocked at how mixed it was, but also not.

i did listen to urinetown! and it was very easy to picture jordan fisher and stephanie styles as the respective roles they're cast in! i have been listening to a lot of the secret of us deluxe by gracie abrams, and halsey's the great impersonator as of late, but also still listening to a lot of the notebook... and the notebook... and the notebook. i'm going to try to listen to an audio boot of ken cen spelling bee this week, and the new sunset cast recording!

i really liked death becomes her, and i cannot wait to see how things are done on stage! i have so many questions and it just seems SO cool and so fun. ugh i wish i was going to new york again soon so i could see it. i've heard it did pretty well in chicago so i wonder how things will go for them in new york — it looks like megan is sick right now though, poor thing :(

[A/N: Hey lovely! Of course you can request for my event :D. We love a good Denki drabble, and I'm more than happy to write this for you. I was just decorating my own Christmas tree so perfect timing! I'm really happy with how this came out, so I hope you like it as much as I do FNEAKFB. Enjoy <3 and thank you for participating in my follower event!]

“Can you pass me the last set of lights?” you ask Kaminari as you were both decorating the Christmas tree you decided to put up in your dorm room.

He had helped you carry the heavy tree into your room and chose to just stay and help you decorate.

“Here ya go,” he says as he passes you lights you had in your decor box.

“Thanks.”

He holds one end as you tuck the lights into their place on the tree.

“Perfect,” you hum to yourself, “Okay now le-“

You’re cut off by the close proximity you find yourself to Kaminari as you spin around. Heat rises to your cheeks and your heart hammers in your chest. The crush for him that you were trying to keep under control, slowly began to unravel. You clear your throat, trying to calm your racing heart before continuing.

“T-the ornaments are next,” you instruct in a whisperer, refusing to meet his eyes.

“I’m on it!” he cheers as he rushes to the box to take out the few ornaments you had stored in there.

As he retrieves the ornaments, you begin hanging them on the tree, needing to keep yourself busy so you don’t freak out from having him so close to you.

Little do you know, the blond is stealing glances at you between putting up ornaments himself.

He’s uncharacteristically quiet as he gets lost in his head wondering how to confess to you. Kirishima and Sero had seen you arrive at the dorms with your Christmas tree and urged that it was the perfect moment to confess to you while you were alone together. He wanted it to be cool though--cool, but romantic and “Denki style”. Lost in thought, he stands in place, eyes fully focused on you in a love struck gaze.

You feel his eyes burning into the side of your head, but you know if you look up, you’d embarrass yourself, so you move farther away before speaking.

“You okay? How’s it going on your side of the tree?”

Silence. Pure silence. Something Kaminari hardly was.

Feeling nervous that maybe you had upset him, you look around the tree at him and speak again.

“Denki?” you ask softly, but your heart leaps again at the handsome smile on his face, directed at you.

He moves a step closer until he’s right in front of you, ornaments abandoned on the floor behind him where he once stood. His eyes met yours, but you couldn’t find it within yourself to look away.

“I think I might be falling in love with you,” he whispers, the smile never leaving his face.

“Stop messing around Denki, it’s not funny,” your breath hitches in your throat, hoping and praying that he wasn’t joking and actually meant those words no matter how unrealistic they sound.

“I’m not messing around,” he pouts as he reaches for your arm and brings your hand to his chest, “Feel my heart? It wouldn’t be beating like this if I was messing around Y/N.”

You knew he was serious. Kaminari was always goofing off and having fun, but right here, in front of you he was dead serious.

“You don’t have to say anything back right now. I just wanted to tell you. But I’ll understand if you don’t feel the same way,” he mumbles, his hands still wrapped gently around your wrist with no sign of letting go any time soon.

“No! I do. I…I have feelings for you too. Whether it’s love yet or not though, I’m not sure, but whenever I see you my heart starts doing back flips. I can barely keep my composure whenever you’re in the room. I mean I was about to lose it a few times just having you in here with me, helping out,” you confess quickly, not wanting him to think that you didn’t care about him.

He had the goofiest grin on his face and brought you into his arms for an embrace.

“I knew it.”

“Shut up,” you hide your face into his chest, “No you didn’t.”

He laughs, “Yeah, you're right, I didn’t. Just like teasing ya.”

He pauses for a moment and pulls away from the hug, looking down at you as he cups your cheeks. Once again your heart betrays you and quickens at his touch. His face is in front of yours now, inches from your own and he glances down at your lips before making eye contact again.

“Can I kiss you?” he asks in a whisper.

You would have missed it had he not been right in front of you; the sound of your heart beat overpowering in your ears.

You nod, and as soon as you do his lips meet yours.

Sparks make their way through your body, whether from the sensations of kissing him or from him accidentally setting off his quirk a bit—it was amazing. Better than you ever imagined. He leans further into you, lips never leaving your own as you move in sync with each other, hearts beating as one.

It’s over as quickly as it started, though it felt like time had stopped as soon as his lips were on yours. He pulls away from you slightly, his forehead still leaning against your own.

“Wow,” he pants, out of breath from the kiss, “That was amazing.”

“It was,” you huff, just as out of breath as he was.

He pulls away completely after leaving another lingering peck to your lips before heading back to the box of ornaments.

“Well? C’mon, this tree isn’t gonna decorate itself!” He calls you over, pulling you out of your daze.

This wasn’t how you had planned this evening to go at all, but you couldn’t complain as you smiled and joined him in continuing to decorate the tree, now as a couple. a couple of cuties :”)
