Since the fish fic is about to be finished, I started working on another cherik AU with the help of the christian minecraft server and got to smash my special interest together with my current hyperfixation!

Charles is a pre-war vault dweller who gets defrosted into the wasteland with no idea on what is going on and Erik is a mercenary, griefing his late wife and children.

Charles slowly loses his spark and faith in humanity after experiencing The Horrors and Erik finds something worth living for and learns how to love again.

The whole AU is basically just the I can fix him/I can make him worse meme.

Being a hunter was all Dean knew ever since his mother had been killed by a demon when he was four. Hunting, offing monsters, and then jumping to the next case was his life. Then he met the most alluring and breathtaking omega he had ever seen and spent the next five years loving the hell out of Cas, their life together filled with the domestic lovey-dovey stuff Dean had never thought he would dig so much. When a simple salt-and-burn goes sideways, it ends up with Cas’ memories stolen from him. Lena looks down for a second, biting her lip in thought. Then, she walks to the edge of the boat and sits down. “You’re right,” she says.

Kara nods as she follows her. “I know.”

She sits next to her, crossing her legs behind the white toe rail. Lena’s hair is obscuring her face, but Kara can see the straight line of her nose, the perfect curves of her pink lips. Then, Lena looks up at her through her lashes, all bright jade eyes and smooth, dewy skin, and Kara stops breathing. Gosh, she’s pretty.

“You know,” she tells her softly as the water rippling around them, fidgeting with the sunglasses in her hands, “I still think about that night we spent together.”

Kara exhales sharply—not quite a scoff, as she intended, because she’s too busy getting lost in the intensity of Lena’s gaze. “Yeah,” she says, almost cutting, “me too.”

“I’m serious,” Lena assures her with the hint of a chuckle. “I mean… it was nice, I enjoyed myself.” She shrugs, then reaches out to her side—she places the sunglasses on the floorboards and then leans on her hand, pushing forward enough so her arm is brushing Kara’s. “This could be fun. We’re at a wedding, a million miles away from home… Who knows what could happen under the cover of a masquerade?”

OOOOOHHH!! **rolls up my sleeves** I will very happily oblige and tell you about my professor! AU, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!

I'm not going to reveal anything about the plot yet, but...

Both Andrew and Y/N are professors at Trinity College, in literature. He writes poetry (instead of singing, I still had to make him an incredibly talented poet...). GLASSES! TURTLENECKS! You know his grey suit he wears sometimes during shows... that vibe. With glasses. That and his brown vests MY GOD!!!

He's specialized in modern literature (modernism, stream of consciousness and contemporary poetry kind of vibes...), she's specialized in feminist literature and the use of gender-normative discourse in literature (they will bond over being feminist icons).

He's shy, and clumsy, and an absolute heartthrob even though he is incapable of taking a compliment and thus rejects that fact entirely. Students obviously ship them together. He is also an absolute fool (romantically speaking). Feminist icon, obviously. And the absolute sweetheart he truly is, of course.

Elwood will be here too, I haven't included Raine yet, but I will, she is the BEST.

AAAAAHHHH THE FIRST BEING HUMAN BOOK JUST ARRIVED

November was a shit show and I'm STILL recovering from it (literally falling asleep at my computer only a few hours after waking up, that's how tired i am lately) but I've still managed to get words in (on the WRONG STORY but whatever. still words, i'll take them)

This means that right now I am SO CLOSE to finishing the sequel to The Scout's Path that I can practically TASTE it. Which might just be the fastest I've written a non-one shot in ages.

(Current word count is around 44k and I'm just TRYING to tie off the last two chapters)

“you make it look so easy.” she's perched on his lap in front of his drum set and trying her best to not let that fact distract her. her eyes follow the pattern on the drums cassian had demonstrated earlier and tries again to mimic the pattern along with trying to remember the beat in which he hits them with. with the amount of times she spends staring at him while he plays she’s surprised she can’t play from memory alone. she winces from her own playing, the sound reminding her of a toddler banging on pots and pans. “i've seen kids play better than this. show me again?”
