Euros thoughts I've been having: Was Norway partying with Scotland in Germany ahead of his games in the Euros? Did Norway console Scotland after his team was eliminated in that defeat by Hungary? I can imagine Scotland needed a hug and some back rubs at least after that... Do you think he's supporting Denmark as a fellow Scandinavian, or is there too much rivalry?

Of course Norway's joined joined in on Scotland and Germany's pre-gameings - which is an adorable new friendship btw. Norway enjoys football as much as any other European country and when his own team is not playing, he can at least have fun watching Scotland's team.

tbf I think Scotland is still quite proud of his team though 🙏 I've seen nothing but positivity from Scots interviewed after they lost that final match - they are just there to bring good vibes and have a great time and that's what they accomplished ✨

The Danes have been terrible towards us in the euros this year and we're not even in it!! 😠 I've seen some videos of Danes chanting about how Norway did not qualify and how they are so much better 😠 I think Norway would be sort of reluctant to cheer for Denmark to begin with, so this behaviour by Danish fans is a great excuse to root against Denmark in every match. And they didn't even pass the group play sooo 👀

Apparently in Scotland I think, they would believe autistic children are we’re called “children of the fae” that they took the kids and now they are one of them. And the best part is, they are so chill about it, like “ya, there’s nothing we can do, he’s like this and always has” like hell ya that’s so cool, I wanna go dance in a fairy ring, that’s awesome. 🤩♾️🌈

Yep there's folklore about changelings in many parts of Europe, including Britain, Ireland and Scandinavian countries! Traditionally they're about children who have been abducted by the fae and replaced with a changling, and it's been theorised that this was a way to explain the behaviour of neurodivergent children as well as those with other diabilities. The 'replaced' child might be particularly mischevious, communicate differently, look different, or have abilities far beyond their age, all of which were seen as characteristics of a fairy.

I'm afraid it's not always a positive story though; unfortunately it was often used as an excuse to abandon children who were considered 'different'. Fairies didn't always have the nice reputation they have now - they were often seen as dangerous and unpredictable.

That said, growing up I often felt like I wasn't really of this world, and I like the idea of the reason being that I'm actually one of the fae. It's a really interesting topic to think about, and I've always been fascinated by folklore and its origins in general.

like i was in the woods away from everything else when i ran into this little girl (like 3-6) who spoke kinda like an adult/kinda like her age and behind her there was a a couple of bushes and behind that a group of people sat in a circle and the little girl asked if i wanted to join them. i politely declined and she was like “pleaseeee you need to come” (in a way that seemed kinda normal coming out a child’s mouth but still off), and i declined again and said i needed to go back, but one of the people in the circle (an adult man, around 40 maybe) was like “your brother’s here, he wants you here” (or something like that), and i looked around the circle and my brother was not there, however there were a few other kids who looked strangely like him (the same but a bit younger and skinnier, one with lighter eyes, one with darker hair, etc.). and yeah again i was like “no i need to go back” and the girl spoke again “but he needs you!” and i was just like “sorry, i don’t want to be taken by the fae right now i need to go back”, then i blinked and the circle was gone, the forest was gone, everything was gone, was completely pitch black, except for me and the girl, who looked mildly angry. i can’t remember if she started chasing me first or if i turned and ran first but both happened and i eventually made it back to the normal part of my dream so yeah🧍

We’re Alive - also zombie horror and was the show that got me into audio dramas! It’s very long and looks overwhelming but I promise it’s good!

Darkest Night - anthology horror where you find out how people died but each case is actually related and there is a bigger mystery and this show lives in my head rent free lol

The Waystation - found footage style show about a group of people on a space station that all died (the story is trying to piece together what happened). It’s along the same lines as The White Vault

DERELICT - a research group are studying a door at the bottom of the ocean, and then shit goes sideways. I binged this series super fact and I need season 2 immediately lol

The Eleventh Hour episode called The City of Statues - I made this! It’s about a group of survivors trying to make it out of a city filled with statues trying to hunt them down 👀

Someone Dies in this Elevator - mix of horror and thriller I think. It’s an anthology series where every episode someone dies in an elevator 👀 I composed for a few episodes and it’s v fun 🤩

Where the Stars Fell - the Antichrist is roommates with their guardian angel and they’re trying to stop the rapture

DUST - anthology series about science fiction and technology! Season 3 is definitely my favorite as it is one story but the entire show as a whole is very good

Unseen - this show lives in my head rent free and I ache for it to be real. It’s about magic existing in the real world and is an anthology! It’s made by the same folks behind Wolf 359

Joy to the World - holiday series I helped produce! It’s about an astronaut named Joy talking with different people on Earth about the holidays! It’s an anthology and v warm and I highly recommend it as a holiday series

Sidequesting - a person who is totally not the hero is avoiding the main plot and going on a bunch of side quests! It’s charming and lovely and made by the wonderful Tal

Today is mother's day in Scotland and my sister is here for a visit. It is very sunny today and we have just spent time together out on the deck and eating lunch out there. The mix of bright sun and noise from wind and water and birds is a bit overwhelming but I still enjoyed it.

I also got very anxious about insects and other flying things, and I had a big fat fuzzy bumblebee land on me and I really didn't like it, but my mum brushed it off. My mum explained how it's okay because bees are friends, they help pollinate all the plants and only wanted to see my lovely pjs 🙂, so that made me feel much better.

My lovely friend Emily also came for a visit on Friday and it was lovely to swing and chat with her, and i watched mission impossible in my new living room upstairs and then we play cards together and eat chocolate cake! It was a lovely day. I had a really big sleep that night!

I also got a new special tomato soft touch sitter and it is so comfy and good! Very supportive and nice. i didn't have high hopes at first because so many things tried and not worked but for quite a few days straight now i spend significant time in it and feel comfy and good and like it lots. So we are going to get the mobile base to go with it and mum joked she can wheel me around really fast like I'm on a rollercoaster and that sounds like a lot of fun 🤩.

back then, my hc was that they joined the gang because they were nearly hanged, but Dutch swooped in at the last second to save them, and ever since that they clung to him like sad puppies. I’ve changed my mind about how they joined a lot, I don't really have a real 'this is how they joined the gang' thought in my head rn sooo...i guess now I just think that scar comes from 'they're lil bitches, they've dodged hanging by a thread before for SURE' - Arms -

Davey has a scar on his left forearm that I just labeled 'burnt' which is kind of funny to me...he got it trying to sneak food from the pot too early and got spooked when someone called for him. He jerked his arm away and YEOCH!! dumb dumb idiot.

Mac's scar is from an explosion...dumb dumb idiot x2 - Legs -

Bro (Davey) got plenty of scars on his knees from falling as a kid. I imagine they were really energetic and probably went fishing along the rocky shore, leading to quite a few owchies.

The scar near his knee is from a gunshot wound; someone tried to take him out and shot him there to keep him from escaping (he's stupid and ran out of bullets). Luckily, Mac saved him before he could take a bullet to the forehead <3

then...the matching beartrap scars....they're just stupid that's all HASJHASJHAS <3 - Stomach -

Mac has a few on his lower stomach, cause uhmmm…someone really wanted him dead !! stabbed him a few times. it a miracle he lived, really.

Their parents weren't particularly abusive (in fact, they were quite lovely), but they were 1800's nuclear family, so you can imagine Mac and Davey got a good few good smacks every now and then. It's no surprise Mac has anger issues, given he's the older brother. He got it worse than Davey. Davey does not remember ever getting hit, or anything bad happening in fact, and since Mac refuses to tell him anything bad from their childhood, Davey isn't consciously aware about it. His unconscious knows, though. not the kind of thing you'd forget. Whenever Dutch raises his voice, the brothers can feel themselves grow tense..

Davey really loved his mom, like a lot. Not a momma's boy, but she always patched him up (trouble child lol) and spent time with him whenever Mac left with their dad... He's scared of thinking of her, 'cause what if he's forgotten her face? her voice?

Mac (used to) love his dad! spent all the time he could with him, and since Mr.Callander REALLY wanted Mac to be just like him, he taught Mac everything he could. What a shame that Mac became such a disappointment, no? He looks at himself in the mirror and sees his father, telling him he'd better keep himself in line.

Mac and Davey really liked fishing--not with a fishing pole, but with nets! they used to do so as kids, this tiny river that only really had smaller fish...

Davey really likes getting the bridge of his nose caressed. He NEVER told anyone, since it's really embarrassing, but...Mac knows. Of course he does, he's the one that figured it out. Davey was just a little baby when he did. Cute little baby David Callander sleeping on a rug, Mac sitting right next to him softly caressing his nose with the pad of his index finger.... Davey doesn't remember that, but Mac could swear it happened just yesterday.

They lived on the streets since their parents died, robbing and fighting folk until they were nearing their 26th birthday, and they managed to escape Scotland (they were already very wanted men). They sneaked on a boat, unaware of where it was headed, just hoping it'd be better than their old home... Mac still grieves their parents old house, even if they never went near it again after they died.

Since the brothers lived on economy of war pretty much their whole life, they're REALLY cheap about most things...they're the kind of people to check out 10 shops just to see which one's the cheapest. That is if they choose to pay at all...

Winter Lovers - An SMG4 and SMG3 Story (Long Post)

Summary - Eight years ago, the Meme Guardians, SMG4 and SMG3, were both trapped in a cold home, where they went Cuckoo Crazy. Eight years later, they both get a faint memory of the incident.

It was a calm day at the SMG4 Castle. SMG4 was busy working on his latest video, when he had received a quick email from his friend, Mario.

SMG4: Oh, my God. Did Mario seriously send me another email? If it's anything like last time with the love email, then I won't bother with it.

He had recalled what happened last time when Mario had gotten the Love Letter virus, and had sent love letters to all of his contacts. SMG4, shivering in squick at that past email, opened the new one. And, to his surprise, it was an invite.

"Dear SMG4. Mario wishes to send you somewhere from your past. Hope you don't end up trapped again. From, your best friend Mario."

SMG4 was surprised at this sudden invite. He then smiled and packed his things. He thought he was going somewhere nice and cool.

SMG4: HOLY CRAP! Mario sent me an invite. He must know me so well. *sighs* I wonder where I'm off to. Ooh! Maybe it's somewhere like Hollywood, or the Bahamas. Ooh, or maybe Brazil. 😊

He ran out of his room with a suitcase and headed to where the Taxi was. The taxi then drove him off on a long drive to the unknown location.

At the Café, SMG3 was sending out people's orders. The café wasn't that busy, there were only three customers who all ordered lots of coffee. SMG3 was exhausted from sending out coffee. Eggdog barked to get his attention, for the puppy wanted beans.

SMG3: Aww, Eggdog. Business is kind of going slow, eh, little buddy? But, don't you worry about it. Soon we will be filthy rich, and -

His phone bleeped. There was an email for him, too. SMG3 sighed in annoyance as he opened the emails up. It was from Mario.

SMG3: *sighs* Mario, I swear to God, if it's that video of spaghetti being made, you're gonna get it! 😞

SMG3's eyes opened wide as he read the email twice over. It was the same email Mario had sent SMG4, just with SMG3's name instead.

SMG3: *gasps* A free vacation?! Oh, my God, I love vacations! I'll get ready right away. Eggdog, you're in charge while I'm gone. Love you. 🥰

He gave Eggdog a kiss on the forehead and left the café with two bags of luggage. He was smiling from ear to ear, as he put on a pair of sunglasses, expecting to be somewhere warm and cosy.

Back with SMG4, the blue Meme Guardian was wondering where he was going. He noticed it was getting a bit on the cloudy side.

SMG4: Oh, ha ha. Looks like a thunderstorm is approaching. Ha ha. OK, I don't think we're gonna experience sunny skies for the entire week, eh? So, where AM I going for my holiday? Hawaii? Japan? Thailand? Pee Pee Island? 🤩

Swag: We're not going to any of those places.

SMG4: Oh. Then... Where AM I off to? 🤨

Swag: You are going to the Arctic. Hope you have a coat with you.

SMG4: The Arctic? But, that's impossible. Mario said I was going on holiday. 🤨

Swag: You ARE on a holiday... To the Arctic. You might need a coat, or a scarf. It'll be a long while before we get there. 😊

SMG4: OK? But, if I'm off to the Arctic, then where can I go for a bathroom break? 😟

Swag: That won't be a problem.

SMG4: *sighs in frustration* GODDAMMIT, Mario! 😞

SMG3 was in his own taxi, wondering if he was going somewhere nicer. He was relaxing in the back of the taxi cab.

SMG3: Huh. Now I'm wondering where I'm off to. A beach? Scotland? Ooh, maybe somewhere more fancy. 😊

Chris: You're off to the Arctic.

SMG3: WHAT?! But, the Arctic is so cold! How the fuck am I supposed to stay warm if I'm in a cold climate?! 😡

Chris: Wear a coat and scarf. 😊

SMG3: Ugh, typical Mario, sending me somewhere I'm gonna die. 😒

Once both taxis arrived at the Arctic, the Meme Guardians stumbled out of the cars. SMG3 was still in a fussy mood, and SMG4 was green in the face. There were a lot of speedbumps on the way there.

SMG3: Ohhh, why is it so c - c - c - COLD here? I'm freezing! 😫

SMG4: Ugh, that trip was awful. I feel sick. 🤢

SMG3: Whuh - SMG4? Is that you? 🤨

SMG4: S - SMG3? What are you doing here? 😟

SMG3: That's what I wanted to ask you. Why are you here, and... Why am I here as well? 😟

SMG3 then noticed that SMG4 didn't feel so good. The blue Meme Guardian was about to be sick, and that worried the purple Meme Guardian.

SMG3: Oh, man. You OK? 😟

SMG4: No... I feel like I'm gonna throw up. *gag* Too many speedbumps in the road. 🤢

SMG3 sighed. He then shook on the spot, he was freezing.

SMG3: I think it's best if we find some shelter. I'm getting colder by the minute. 🥶

SMG4: Good *gag* Idea. I could use some shelter. 🤢🥶

They both set off to find some shelter. SMG3 looked down and noticed that SMG4 was holding his right hand with his left one, and covering his mouth with his right hand.

SMG3: *mind* Man, SMG4 looks terrible. I should probably assist him while he throws up.

They both looked everywhere, but the couldn't find anywhere warm enough to sleep in.

SMG3: You feeling OK now? 🤨

SMG4: No... *gagging* Oh, God. It's gonna come up! 🤢😖

SMG3: Oh, shit! Don't worry, buddy. I'll be sure to get you somewhere. I promise.

SMG4 smiled a weak smile. They both saw a shadow that looked like an igloo of some sort. SMG4 blushed a bit, remembering the last time he was in an igloo with SMG3, one of his friends.

SMG3: You can't be fucking serious. Is that literally the ONLY shelter in the whole Arctic?! DAMMIT! 😡

SMG4: *gag* I'm gonna throw up, SMG3. 🤢

SMG3: *sighs* Just... I dunno, throw up somewhere in that igloo. I dunno. 🤨

SMG4: What? But, you remember what happened last time, right? 😰

SMG3: Just go ahead. We're, like, ten feet away from it. I'll wait for you until you're done.

SMG4: OK, if you insist.

He stumbled over to the igloo. He opened the door, where he noticed a TV and a toilet. He was relieved to have found a place to throw up. So, he did just that.

SMG4: *ducks over the toilet bowl and retches* Ugh. That feels so much better... OK, I best get out now.

The blue Meme Guardian walked over to the door and turned the doorknob. But, to his sudden alarm, the door was locked. He struggled to get it open, but it was locked from the outside. He heard Mario's laughter from outside, knowing the red plumber was the only one who had a key.

SMG4: What the? MARIO, LET ME OUT OF HERE! 😫

Mario: Mario's not gonna let you out until SMG3 is in there. Sorry. 😊

SMG4: *face-palm* Ohhh, GODDAMMIT! 😫

SMG3 was waiting for SMG4 to be finished in the igloo. When he noticed something was wrong, he walked up to the igloo.

SMG3: Huh. Wonder what's taking him so long. Huh.

He was then shoved into the igloo by Mario.

SMG3: WHAT THE - MARIO!!! 😠

Mario: Mario wants you guys to stay here and relive the incident from eight years ago. You're welcome. 😊

The Meme Guardians were both shocked. SMG4 could only blush, and SMG3 wasn't happy.
