Synastry Observations - Friendship & Romantic
Sun square Uranus
Initial excitement can turn into anxiety. One person - likely Sun - will find the other to be unpredictable. One person - likely Uranus - will appear eccentric. Connection can end quickly if one pushes for traditional expectations.
IRL EX: Taurus Sun felt Aqua Uranus was “not serious”. Connection was causal & mostly via text & calls.
Sun conjunct NN
If conjunction is close (closer than 5 degrees), the two can have a joint purpose. This doesn’t mean it’s your destiny to be together. Rather the meeting is fated. The person can give a fated push toward your life’s destiny.
IRL EX: Without getting into specifics, Sun was able to help NN person early on in their career to receive the necessary attention & information to move forward in their career.
It’s like the universe sending you someone to force you to move to the next part of your destiny - it is likely to feel uncomfortable.
Mercury Opposite Pluto
One may feel the other is trying to dominate the other. There can be resistant in seeing things from the other’s point of view.
Arguments are likely intense and heated.
Venus square Chiron
Chiron may require something Venus finds hard to provide. For example: Maybe Chiron likes a lot of physical affection like hugs. But Venus didn’t grow up in that kind of environment and finds it doesn’t come naturally.
Jupiter conjunct Pluto
If this is a very close conjunction in degrees, this can indicate both will experience something that changes their life. Further prominent and exact aspects to NN would support the connection being life-changing. Examples: Having a child together, travelling together, adapting/changing religions/views.
Uranus square Mars
Intense confrontations are likely to occur. Angry outbursts can quickly escalate. Physical fighting is a possibility. The two can push each other into reckless and impulsive behaviours.
Neptune square Mars
This indicates there can be lying and deceptive behaviours in the connection. This can build up a lot of anger especially for the Mars person. Rather than being direct in expressing this, they can become manipulative and invasive. Drug addiction, emotional abuse can be present in the connection too esp if paired with a lot of negative synastry.
Uranus square Jupiter
The relationship is likely exciting but this is not a good indicator for long-lasting. This can be an on & off connection. The Jupiter person may feel Uranus person is too eccentric, unpredictable/unreliable. Uranus may feel Jupiter acts arrogant about their beliefs & refusing to be open minded.
Sun opposite Saturn
Frequent clashing of personalities. Saturn may feel Sun is overbearing + arrogant for refusing to listen and consider Saturn person. Sun may feel Saturn is a burden, clingy/hanging onto them for validation.
Sun opposite NN
If an exact aspect, this can indicate a fated encounter. Immediately, either may feel a natural friendship or repulsion. NN specifically may develop a feeling of duty to the other - feeling like they owe something to Sun. This can create internal resistance to Sun if they are unwilling to fulfill their karmic duty.

this a view of someone who's ignored european developments since 2007, opting for a rosy, outdated view of european politics, i.e. the exact type of american committing the exact type of mistake i'm warning about.
to address this point by point: not only has inflation been a global issue, but the US has consistently enjoyed the lowest inflation of any developed economy. american CPI has remained below the british, polish, and eurozone average numbers. european economies have to deal with fallout from the russian invasion of ukraine that the us can ignore: notably, in energy prices, as the US became self-sufficient in energy (and never imported any from russia to begin with, something squeezing the german economy). america is also not hosting millions of ukrainian refugees.
when discussing european instutions—and "europe" in general—one has to be more specific. do you mean the overarching institutions of the EU, criticized for a democratic deficit that many have pinpointed as one source for euro-skepticism and the rise of the far right? the EU Council, widely ignored and headed by charles michel, an incompetent, blatant nepobaby appointment whom everyone grinds their teeth over? the EU parliament, recently filled with a fresh batch of far-right hooligans, which functions more or less as a rubber stamp for the commission? the EU commission itself, headed by VdL, the latest in a string of failed local politician commissioners (who remembers the alcoholic swindler juncker?) masquerading as technocrats? the ECB, which smothers the monetary (and through the maastricht criteria, the fiscal) policy of eurozone members, thereby fueling resentment, far-right movements, and economic disparity? and all of this held hostage by the veto of one orban or fico, —or the german supreme court, when it decides it's had enough with public investment. those institutions, which remain so opaque that even educated americans—and europeans—aren't entirely aware of their function?
or do we mean the institutions of individual countries, ranging from undemocratic autocracies like hungary to the fief of the jupiter king, who called elections in june, lost them, refused to nominate a prime minister from the winning coalition, didn't name any for over a month, and then appointed a rightwing politician from a party that scored dead last, sidestepping his own centrist party? the UK, where sir keir is handing out five years in jail time to climate protesters, raising tuition fees, relying on private investment companies, and through rachel reeves' plan to fix the alleged budget hole left by hunt before further investment, again enacting austerity? this is all front-page headline news from the last half year.
european countries indeed have cheaper healthcare costs, better pensions, and other public goods that the united states does not. when considering "quality of life," remember, however, that most european countries have unemployment rates considered astronomic in america, especially for under-35s:
to focus again and again on european social democracy is to ignore that it has been steadily eroded since the end of the cold war and especially since the great recession by neoliberal political forces that crush the left and open the door for the far right. in the most blatant example, beside's macron's legislative politricks, the IMF-ECB-EC troika cut off euro cash liquidity flow to greece when syriza was trying to undo austerity under varoufakis. the greek collapse consigned a generation to economic failure, killed seniors, and curtailed possibilities for the youth. this erosion happened even in the nordic model, long imagined by americans as nothing short of a utopia:
In part due to the scrapping of wealth and inheritance taxes and a lower corporate tax than both the U.S. and European averages, Sweden has one of the most unequal distributions of wealth in the world today: on a level with Bahrain and Oman, and worse than the United States. Perhaps most dispiriting for Sanders, Sweden also now hosts the highest proportion of billionaires per capita in the world. Many of the country’s trademark social services are now provided by private firms. Its private schools even benefit from the same level of state subsidy as public schools—a voucher system far more radical than anything in the United States and that Democratic politicians would be crucified for advocating. Both here and there, right-leaning commentators in 2020 decried Sanders’s portrait as little more than what Johan Norberg, Swedish author of The Capitalist Manifesto, has called a 1970s “pipedream.” On this, Swedish observers on the left gloomily agree: despite official rhetoric, the “Nordic welfare model” is now more nostalgic myth than reality. (x)
to problematize further, there's an unadressed first world perspective: who's getting the good quality of life, why are the main economies of the EU so wealthy, and how does the EU continue to enrich itself? there are certainly many living outdoors today, drowning in the mediterranean, or dying of exposure in białowieża. fortress europe is a crime against humanity—and it doesn't beat back the far right. it weakens civic and human rights, undermines legal oversight, and criminalizes humanitarian engagement, allowing an authoritarian creep.
you shouldn't understand the political and the historical as a snapshot in time, but as a moving train. this is the state of europe today. all of the above is necessarily a simplification and an abbreviation, but there's a trajectory you can begin to trace out: given all of the above, where do you think europe is headed?
#sorry that the US and Poland are the same shade of pink in the CPI chart i couldn't change it#please stop idealizing europe's political trajectory. it's 2024. you've got to stop.#i'm not trying to insult or condescend the person who left this but to shed light on what are extremely obvious issues mystified#by a decades-old mirage of europe still trapping hordes of well-meaning americans who ought to know better#if tugoslavija were here...

Truth or Dare
TW: mentions of suicide
Donnie walked into the living room to find Leo reading a Jupiter Jim comic on the couch. Donnie stared at his twin, he'd been really worried about him ever since the invasion, although he only showed it through the occasional jumpscare checkup and late-night stalking. Donnie walked over and sat down on the couch and out of the corner of his eye he saw Leo's head perk up from his comic.
"Heyyy Dontron! Need something?"
"No..."
Donnie looked down and started fidgeting with his fingers as Leo shrugged and went back to reading.
"Uhm- actually yes, there is something..."
Leo looked up once again from his comic with a puzzled look on his face.
"Uhh okay...? Shoot."
"I wanna play a game!"
Leo sat up feeling even more confused,
"A game...? Did Mikey put you up to some sibling bonding activity or something?"
Donnie glared at his brother, this was hard enough for him as it is, he didn't need to make it worse.
"No. I'm just bored and,"
He paused and took a breath.
"Can't I just play a game with my brother without a entire interrogation?"
Leo couldn't tell if he was conducting some experiment or if he was being genuine, but it was a chance to hang out with Donnie, which he hasn't done a lot of since the invasion, so he wasn't complaining.
"Alright, what game do you wanna play?"
"Truth or Dare."
"Wow, you sure thought about this haven't you? Alright, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Did Mikey put you up to this or are you actually telling the truth and you actually wanna spend time with me~?"
"No Mikey did not put me up to this, I do want to spend time with you Nardo. Truth or Dare?"
"Hmm... Dare."
"um... I dare you to... uh..."
"Do you need a minute?"
"I'm thinking!"
"Ok~"
"I dare you to eat mustard on an ice cube."
"EW WHAT!?"
"Do it."
"Ugh fine."
Leo grabbed one of his Katannas that was laying against the couch and made a portal to the kitchen, a moment later he came out with an ice cube with some mustard on it. In one quick motion he bites down and swallows it sending a shiver down his spine. He sat down again glaring at Donnie and the petty smirk on his face.
"Truth or dare, jerk."
"Truth."
"Your in the mood for a conversation, you normally pick dare. Hmm... Why do you keep following me in the middle of the night?"
"Whaaaaaaattt? I-I'm not following- ugh fine. I don't know... Raph and Mikey aren't up, so I thought it's my shift to watch over you?"
Leo rolled his eyes,
"Oh great, you guys are taking shifts now..."
"Yeah, we are. Truth or dare."
"Truth."
"Why do you insist that we stop taking care of you? We're all just worried Leo."
"Because I can take care of myself, I held my own with the krang mech didn't I!?"
"YOU GOT THE SHIT BEAT OUT YOU LEO!"
"CAN WE JUST STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS!? TRUTH OR DARE!"
"DARE! AND NO!"
"I DARE YOU TO GET OFF MY ASS!"
"OH WELL TOO FUCKING BAD NARDO, SHOULD'VE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU CAME BACK FROM THE PRISON DIMENSION WITH A SHATTERED SPINE! TRUTH OR DARE!"
Leo hesitated, he wasn't dumb, he could see the general direction of where this was going, and both options seemed to get pretty bad results.
"Look, let's just talk about this later, please?"
Leo almost sounded like he was begging, which made Donnie withdrawal the yelling, he nodded, he wasn't being serious, he just needed to wait until Leo said-
"Truth."
Donnie spoke so fast he almost cut Leo off,
"Why did you throw yourself into the Prison dimension?"
There was a beat of silence and Leo's eyes widened, whether in surprise or in fear he couldn't tell.
"Donnie-"
"You said truth, now tell me the truth."
"Donnie, can we not do this ri-"
"No. Answer the question."
Donnie's face was stone cold, he wasn't backing down from this. Leo put a hand over his face and chuckled to himself which just confused Donnie.
"God... I'm so fucking stupid you know that? And y'know for a second, I actually thought you wanted to spend time with me! But of course not, you just came to interrogate me. Fine... You wanna know why I did it Donnie!? Because you CLEARLY forgot! I THREW MYSELF INTO THAT FUCKING HELL HOLE TO SAVE YOU- TO SAVE EVERYONE! IT'S THE SAME THING I'VE TOLD EVERYBODY DONNIE! THE REASONS HAVEN'T CHANGED!"
Leo paused once he realized he was yelling, he took a deep breath and leaned back.
"I'm sorry for yelling Don, it's just- you didn't need to lie about wanting to spend time with me, could've just asked, my answer would've been the same but this just seems like overkill."
There a bitterness in Leo's voice that caused Donnie to feel guilty. Leo was right, and it wasn't like he'd been doing a good job of spending time with his brothers lately, he knew he'd been distant. He decided to keep pressing, he could apologize later.
"Your still not telling me everything Leo."
Leo hesitated and he didn't do a good job at hiding it.
"Donnie, I really don't know what your talking-"
"You know I can hear you every night right? In your bedroom?"
Leo froze,
"What...?"
"Those things you mutter to yourself in tears late at night, when you think no one else can hear you? I hear it."
Leo's heart started to race, he could practically hear the pounding in his chest.
"You need to stop it with the spying Don-"
Donnie didn't stop at the pathetic excuse at escaping the conversation.
"I hear you talking about how the invasion was all your fault!"
"Dee."
"About how we'd be better off without you!"
"Don!"
"ABOUT YOU DESERVED TO DIE IN THE PRISON DIMENSION!?"
"Donnie!"
"DO YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVE THAT!?"
"DONNIE!"
Donnie stopped slightly taken aback by the anger in Leo's voice. He'd never heard it before, at least not directed at him. It took a second before he suddenly realized that he was slightly shaking and so was Leo. The twins stared at each other, unsure of what to do before Leo finally stood up with a grunt. He was going to leave before Donnie finally spoke in a soft tone.
"Do you... believe that...?"
He put a hand over his forehead and let out a big sigh, and sat back down on the couch. He looked up at Donnie, who had an angry expression on his face but Leo saw it for what it really was, fear. He put his legs up almost covering his face and folded his arms, making sure to avoid eye contact with Donnie.
"Maybe... I don't know..."
"How can you not know!?"
Leo flinched as Donnie raised his voice.
"Sorry..."
They sat in silence once again for a couple minutes, Donnie's mind was spiraling, going through all his memories of his brother, noticing signs that he hadn't noticed before.
"Do you... want to kill yourself...? And be honest! I don't want anymore of your bullshit excuses."
Leo sighed, and put his legs down so Donnie could see him.
"I-... I uh... ugh!"
He buried his head in his knees as wrapped his arms around his legs. He turned his head to the side at stared at one of the sewer walls.
"Yes..."
His voice was barely above a whisper but it was enough for Donnie to hear. Donnie started scratching his arm, he didn't know what to do, his mind was racing. Leo looked at Donnie who was practically frozen in place.
"Are you okay...?"
Donnie's head snapped up. He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself.
"Dumb question... Yeah, i'm fine."
Donnie scooted closer to Leo and took his hand.
"We love you Leo, you know that, right?"
"Yeah I know..."
"But you still think we'd be better off without you?"
Leo squeezed Donnie's hand, which was enough of a response for Donnie. Donnie took a deep breath,
"You know i'm going to need to tell Raph and Mikey about this right?"
"Yeah... I figured... Any chance I can talk you out of it?"
"No."
"Figured..."
They sat in silence for bit as Donnie assessed what to do next.
"Before I go tell the others, there's two more things I want to do."
"What's that?"
Donnie sighed and held up one of his hands.
"First off, I want your katanas."
"What!? I'm not"
"I'm not arguing about this Leo!"
"But why?"
"Because frankly I don't trust you with them at the moment, now give me the katanas."
Leo sighed and grabbed his katanas, that were leaned up against the couch, by their blue hilts and handed them to Donnie. Donnie laid them against his side of the couch and looked back up at Leo.
"Secondly... I want a hug."
Donnie held out his arms and Leo just stared blankly at the request before putting on a grim smirk.
"Donnie, It's okay really. I don't need a hug."
"Were you the one asking for one?"
Leo hugged Donnie, although he was hesitant at first.
"I know you don't like hugs Dee..."
"Well right now I do."
It took him a moment but Leo eventually warmed into the hug, squeezing Donnie tighter. He didn't know why, but for some reason, it caused his eyes to start welling up. Donnie could hear him sniffle and his grip became tighter, he was almost afraid to let go, as if Leo would disappear if he did.
"I don't need a hug he said."
"Shut up."
Leo choked on his tears as he began to break down in Donnie's arms. It was a comfort he never knew he missed until he had it. As scared as he was right now, Leo had oddly never felt safer.
"I forgot how good your hugs were... I missed them..."
"It's a blessing and a curse."
Donnie's squeezed Leo as his he felt a knot in his stomach get even tighter at the sound of his twin's sobs. How long has he felt like this? Was just because of the invasion or was it before that? How had no one noticed? He took a deep breath,
"I love you Leo."
"I know Dee..."
"No. I'm being serious so listen to me Nardo... I. Love. You."
Leo chuckled through his tears.
"I love you too."
"And you ever think that Raph, or Dad, or Mikey, or April, or ME! Would be better- or even happier without you, then I'm gonna kick your ass so hard that your vertebrae will pop out of your mouth like a PEZ dispenser."
Leo laughed at what was supposed to sound like a threat. A couple moments later Donnie finally pulled back and looked at Leo who had the same dim smile as him.
"I'm going to go get Raph and Mikey, okay...?"
Leo's weak smile faded as he looked down and nodded.
"Yeah... okay."
Donnie got up, grabbed the katanas, and started to walk out the door.
"Hey!"
Donnie stopped,
"Yes?"
"Thank you Dee..."
"Sigh... of course Nardo."
Leo watched Donnie leave the room and suddenly everything felt colder. This was a good thing, he'll finally get to open up, that's good right? So why was he so scared? Why did he feel even emptier then he did before? Leo sighed and buried his in knees once more. They were bound to find out sooner or later...
OK! WOW! This fanfic is so random like I just had the idea while scrolling through disaster twins stuff on tumblr. Anyways I hope you guys liked it and... idk should I make a part two surrounding the family meeting? I am curious as to how you guys think Raph and Mikey would react to this information? I'd love to hear it down in the comments!

Mythic Phantom
This is a little something I whipped up over a while thinking about merging the DP and Riordanverse universes together, and I thank @geraldmariaivo for helping me think my way through it. If you want the ao3 version you can find it here, and I hope you enjoy the fic!
Most Underworld Gods felt it when Vlad’s current permanent Portal opened, but they all Felt it when Danny’s accident happened. A child’s death throes is hard to ignore after all. Pantheons world wide decided that was America’s problem, and Hel decided it was Persephone’s problem, and Haides felt it would close on its own. No gate to Khaos can stay open for long after all.
When Ember went globally live, Muses and Music Gods and Hypnos heard the way she sang, called out to the mortals to never be forgotten. Danny and Tucker dealt with her swiftly enough that she was remembered, noted even, but disregarded.
When the Fright Knight’s sword was drawn, many Fear Gods turned toward Amity, but Danny dealt with it swiftly. Most regarded it as an anomaly but Phobos and Deimos sent subordinate spirits to investigate the town and report anything interesting.
Hades and Persephone noted the invasion of Ghost Cops and saw that Danny had it handled in only a few days, which they would count as a quest fulfilled. Clearly, Amity Park was a contained issue, and the Master Bolt had gone missing by now so they have other things to deal with. The House of Life have some reservations but agree.
Then Pariah Dark got out, and the Gods scrambled to do something about that. In only a week however, He was dealt with too. A closer eye was warranted. By everyone, not just the Observants.
Whoever these agents were, be they half-bloods or spirits or even minor gods, most wouldn’t see Young Blood and thus would fear Danny was losing it too. When he calmed down, they’d sigh in relief. The two future Ghost Villains who show up outside of the do-over would raise alarms at how fast ghosts can progress, but hey, it’s handled.
When the Hellenic spies are pulled back home for safety during the winter solstice, pleasantly surprised by Ghost activity dying down at the same time, Artemis and Luna, Khonshu and more felt something wrong happening as the Ghostwriter possessed the moon to speak.
When Duul Amon returned to the land of the living, the House of Life sent agents to the town, and Tucker Foley was immediately offered magic lessons. His is power over stone and steel, glass and gems, as well as an ear for the voices of machines. Between terrakinesis and technopathy, Tucker’s limits with his staff became only what he understood about technology.
Then entire copies of the Ghost Boy (Prince? King?) appear, attacking him, manipulating him for the elder, but he lets her go free after he’s rescued? Truly fascinating. Psychopomps keep an eye on Elle wherever she goes - she’s always very close to melting after all. The titan army also keep an eye on her, a powerful being both like and unlike the Gods, much the same as a Titan, Giant, or Monster.
Then the Reality Gauntlet is found by a mortal man, a rogue Magician, while the boy is busy trying to stop it and save the world, Lydia is keeping House of Life magicians and even Odin’s Ravens from finding Freakshow, so some Camp Jupiter heroes are being sent on a quest to deal with him. Then he gets the fucking gems and turns the world into a circus for 10 minutes.
Before the Boy tricks him, takes the Gauntlet, resets the world to before his identity was revealed to the world, (though perhaps not quite fooling the memories of Gods, who Are the world) and destroying the Gauntlet and gems in a single blast.
An artifact presumed by the Ghost Investigation Ward to be powerful enough to destroy the Infinite Realms, reduced to molten ash by one burst of power.
What to do about the young Phantom is a matter of discussion during the solstice meeting on Olympus. Hades is sent to investigate the boy and finds that he is a godling of Kaos Themself, which sparks yet further debate on what to do when Artemis goes missing.
But then the Son of Hades stumbled upon Elmerton and witnessed a duel between Gods firsthand.
Danny Phantom faced off against Vortex, the ghost of all weather and sky and storm gods who had faded over the millennia, all on his own. Even in defeat, Danny stole half of Vortex’s power, and less than a week later, he defeated the calamity that even two pantheons worth of gods could not.
The Titans would be horrible for humanity as a whole, and the Olympians were bad for half bloods as well. Danny Phantom, however, could be just what most half bloods were after. He needed training in mortal form, clearly, but that could be an angle for Nico to use.

CRYPTIC LETTERS
Yan ROTTMNT x Reader

Just a small drabble that took way to long-
THIS IS IN NO WAY APPROVING OF A ABUSIVE OR TOXIC RELATIONSHIP
TW: Kidnaping, Invasion of privacy
Letters flooded your mailbox, overfilling it and crumpling some of the envelopes in the small space. You would be surprised and very confused, if you hadn't been experiencing this for a couple of months now. It all started one random Saturday, when you went to check your mailbox and was met with an unaddressed letter. You had curiously brought it inside and opened it, revealing a paragraph that read something along the lines of ‘being happy to finally meet you’ and ‘promising to continue writing to you.’ It was signed with four names. Raph, Leo, Othello von Ryan, and Mikey.
You had assumed it was meant for one of your neighbors, because you knew no one with those names. You had asked them but they denied knowing the names as well. Since no one knew who wrote the letter, you had decided to just keep it in your room. You felt bad you couldn’t find who it was meant for, and you didn’t want to just throw it away either. You thought it would just be a one time thing, but days later you had received another letter from the same people. Again, you asked around and got nothing so you left it with the first one.
Overtime, they kept writing to you, and you eventually stopped reading the letters and started throwing the letters away, since they were piling up. You started finding more and more letters being stuffed in your mailbox. This time was no different, you thought. However, you noticed a small package buried in the sea of envelopes. This was new. You took all the letters and the packages in your house, placing them on the kitchen table. You separated the letters from the package, looking down at the box.
You were extremely curious, yet nervous. You opened the box slowly, peeking inside. What you saw was a bracelet with colorful beads and charms, a stuffed bear and a comic book. You fully opened the box now and gently grabbed the bracelet and bear inside. You looked at them both, placing them on the table as you continued going through the box’s contents. You grabbed the comic book next. The cover displayed a man in some kind of astronaut suit and an anthropomorphic red panda. The title read ‘Jupiter Jim. Time Warp.’ The comic book looked slightly crumpled and used. You flipped through some of the pages, finding a few of them had the top corners folded to act as a bookmark.
You glanced back at all of the items that were in the box, then at the stack of letters. You concluded the same people who had sent you the letters also sent you this box of things. Throwing everything away would most likely be the best option, you concluded. You were about to put everything back in the box before you caught a glimpse of something purple. You looked back and noticed a small purple device at the bottom of the box, hidden under everything else. You gently held it in your hand, feeling your blood run cold with fear and disbelief.
It looked like a camera, a red light blinking behind the lens. Your hands slightly shook as you placed the camera back into the box, stuffing the rest of the items back in there. You needed to throw this thing out. Probably also contact the police while you’re at it. You closed the box as was about to pick it up before you heard the sound of glass shatter from somewhere behind you.
You shakily turned your head to see four figures, standing in the doorway. You have enough time to register their obvious non-human appearance. One of them charged at you, wrapping a piece of cloth around your eyes to block your vision as you felt a pinch in your arm. Minutes later, you felt your body go limp and sag in the hold of whatever was now carrying you as you slipped into unconsciousness.

Dragalia Niche Things In Weapon Lore You May Not Know
-Emperor Dane, ya know, the dude that Jupiter accidentally set on a brutal conquest where he became a dude that would kill two for fun every day?
He was also a weeaboo:
I knew there must have been warning signs that such a nice prince could be beholden to such depravity...
-Karina's real identity maaaaybe is Miralda, princess of Dargas.
The weapon that bears this description is a water axe, the very same weapon and element she wields, and it theoretically fits within her story. She claims that she ran off, but hardly escaped before she was captured. It would make sense that in a pirate invasion that they'd be crawling over the area enough to instantly get ahold of her.
If true, this would be an interesting case of Dragalia telling the future of a character. It's also one I potentially could see, since Karina's story focuses on her wondering how Euden has kept himself as a Good Boi even if he's a prince among all those Nasty Bois and Girls, so I could see her being inspired to change things in her own land later on.
Granted, it's not 100%, 'I have a definitive section where she clearly states she is Miralda', but I think there's enough 'hmm' elements to warrant a spot here!
-Zodiark had a cult around him, who called themselves Meggidothians! Also, they liked sacrificing humans.
...Of course, not officially sanctioned, but that didn't stop them!
Meggidoth might have also been a real person, but it is unknown how much he was involved or responsible for the cult's creation/tenets:
They also have an alternative cosmology:
-This isn't really a hidden lore or fact, but I find it curious that the weapon 'Blackwing' bears such a strong resemblance to Zodiark, without being attributed to him in any way. It looks more like him than his actual high dragon weapon:
-Alberius had a lance made when his kingdom was created and promised to personally kill anyone with it that threatened the formation of the new nation. He meant business, I guess!
-Tartarus may have been cut in half by the Greatwyrms, which is the reason he's now half-steel:
-Humans once got so nutty over a spear that Mercury put it at the bottom of the ocean
-There may be more than just one ark of humans living in the sky and at least one may have fallen and did a whoopsie destruction of a kingdom:
-Kukris are a weapon tied to the southeastern-most part of Grastea:
...And this is another instance of 'very niche lore that the writers kept track of', as Nevin's story also reaffirms this lore that kukris aren't really used except in the SE:
-This is just a funny intermission, but I find it funny if you take the many many many weapon descriptions literally, Euden's handing out weapons left and right quite skilled in delivering torture and otherwise painstaking deaths and subsequent commendations to a similarly terrible afterlife. Oh yeah and some also can destroy the world. Here's a small sample of what I mean:
And trust me, despite the 3/4 examples being shadow weapons, this is far from exclusive to the shadow element. So, uh, yeah.
Don't mess with the Halidom unless you want to face a whole bunch of people capable of sending you and your soul into endless agonies?
Intermission over! Back to the actual lore parts instead of just the 'oh boy you're gonna love to hear what this beauty's capable of...' likely exaggerations.
-There's a prison called Odo somewhere in the world, who seems to have a lot of executioners who predominately execute by the good old axe or by a bow in a proto version of a firing squad, judging by their weapons.
It's unknown if it still exists, however, as Odo was the place Stribog the dragon protected until Agni destroyed it with a firebomb disguised as a Trojan Horse. Maybe it was rebuilt and eventually repurposed as a prison town?
As bonus related lore, the death penalty is very much still active in Alberia, and usually takes the form of beheading or hanging. It can be commanded by local lords (as feudalism is in full effect with local lords having much control over the workings of their endowed region) as well as through courts.
There's also this bit of lore regarding it in another weapon:
-There may have been another race in Grastea, possibly their equivalent of halfling or gnome-esque races:
-This strays into other niche lore, but there was a band of elite Alberian knights called the Alberian Ironsides who seemed to love tower shields:
-Also another crossover between wyrmprints and weapon lore, the Battle of the Thelodian Plains was one at least 300 years ago in which eventually 23 armies unaffiliated with a formal state came together in a senseless battle, with a casualty rate of 80% (quick reminder that 'casualty' counts both injured and dead).
-There was a dude called Count Logan the Brave who seemed to like collecting weapons and bringing them back home. There's three weapons that mention him.
-Interestingly, Troy, the one adventurer dude that pops up a bit frequently in weapon lore, the wand from his last supposed adventure seems to bear a bit of a resemblance to Bahamut...
...Who, by the way, was indeed the explicit creator of the earth, as Xenos crafted sky instead!
-Last but not least, Zodiark really just seems to be involved in a lot of weapons that are Not Good for their wielder:
That's all I have right now, but I do hope that you learned something about the eternally-batty Grastea, through the weapons its residents use!

Perselena Post Rome
The gods left the Western Roman Empire in 380 AD, long before the fall, due to the conversion to Christianity under Theodosius 1. However, the 13th legion remained in service to the empire and kept to paganism in secret.
The gods returned to Greece and lived there, with fewer followers but a happier daily life.
Ares and Perselena got into the habit of pretending to be young children and joining children in their patron cities to play games.
They spent the 5th to 10th century in Greece, living in the same conditions as their first stay in Greece, and were not inconvenienced by the Dark Ages.
Meanwhile, the legion moved around Italy, maintaining their traditions and staying separate from the more settled Camp of the Hero Blooded. The 13th legion named themselves for Jupiter for luck.

Gods might play sides in hidden divine court. Lots of troy like but more subtle manipulations of court.
Meanwhile the war gods want a clean nice war.
Granada / Post-Renaissance Spain (1500–1700 AD)
Event: End of Reconquista (1492)
Demigods may have fought or protected refugees on either side.
Ares and Perse had battlefield dates.
They did this
Event: Spanish Inquisition & religious extremism
Hades and Persephone judge the Christians of the inquistion as part of a deal with Lucifer, here more of the Lucifer TV guy who is king of hell and judge of corrupt souls. He thought that proof of paganism would be torture for them.
Perselena and some other gods help demigods escape persecution.
Event: Age of Exploration
Poseidon and his entire family are part of the first voyages to other countries with Columbus and others.
Hermes helps chart maps or hide routes from monsters, for demigods part of the migration.
Nuremberg / Enlightenment (1700–1800 AD)
Event: Rise of science, Enlightenment thinkers
Athena inspires rational philosophers.
Hephaestus nudges inventors, building hidden god-tech into early prototypes.
Apollo guides and learns from knowledge seekers.
Event: Rise of secret societies (Freemasons, Rosicrucians)
These are be fronts for old demigod orders or faded cults of Apollo, Hermes, or Dionysus.

Event: French Revolution
Hera mourns the loss of royal lineages. Not of these royals had a drop of godly blood.
Hermes aids demigods fleeing the Reign of Terror.
Event: Napoleon’s empire
Olympus is split— ambition and war are to be commended but the tryanny is a bit much.
Event: Romantic movement
Apollo, Aphrodite, and Artemis are everywhere in art, poetry, and music.
London / Empire & Industrial Age (1900–1945)
Event: British Empire expansion
Gods are weary. Hera warns of imperial pride. Dionysus watches it all with disdain.
Demigods may have joined or sabotaged expeditions that awakened ancient monsters in India, Egypt, or Africa.
Event: World War I
Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter work together as soliders- the first real reconnection.
New York / Modern Era (1945–Present)
Event: WWII (late-stage)
The gods finalize their move to America.
Athena,Apollo, Ares and Perselena influence Allied strategy subtly.
Lupa reestablishes Camp Jupiter in California; Chiron begins building the modern Camp Half-Blood.
Perselena fades on 17th August 1950. She started fading in 1945 becauwe without a qar going on, her other domains are in shambles.
Event: Cold War, Civil Rights, 9/11
Demigods serve hidden missions—protecting Manhattan, diffusing divine panic, battling titanic forces awoken by human conflict. Lots of rescue missions.
Perselena only ever sleeps with a few mortals, years after she's no longer worshipped:
Because loyalty has standards .
Catalina de Erauso
Gender-bending rebel, living between lines of identity, power, and defiance.
Perselena’s love for her isn't immediate—it grows in the mud of shared battle, as she watches Catalina refuse the world’s definitions.
It’s not cheating on Ares—she tells she wants this girl and takes a break from their relationship.
Her fake name is María de Sangremar
("Mary of the Blood-Sea"). Which combines her being Mary's inspiration in renaissance art and gives her a sea connected surname.
She participates the spanish colonial wars as Domingo Narin, bastard nobleman.
Toussaint Louverture
A man who does not fight for glory, but for liberation.
Perselena appears during the Haitian Revolution to observe, but is so moved by Toussaint’s faith, discipline, and fire that she slowly finds herself drawn to him.
He doesn’t seduce her—he inspires her. Ares laughs when she finally breaks and takes the man to bed.
Élise Marée — "Elise of the Tide". A French name that suits the era and subtly references her sea-born heritage. She joins the war as a fighter. Ares is not on the other side though so she ends up getting close to Toussaint.
Called Ti Dlo Wouj — "Little Red Water". A poetic folk name given by Haitian fighters, linking her to blood and water.
Vlad the Impaler (Dracula)
Ruthless and strategic. Loved his people, but terrorized enemies. Perselena admired his unyielding loyalty to his homeland. This was mostly a fling
Ares was so smug about this, like this dude is so me-coded, you are so in love with me my personality is mirrored in your mortal lovers.
Demigods then freaked out. Post re-ascension most of her friends had a break down over her having a thing with Dracula.
Queen Elizabeth I
Elizabeth was warlike, commanding, and ruled without needing a husband.
Ares would have liked a threesome.
Demigods freak out central. Seducing the virgin queen is a brag for Percy and she lauds it over Annabeth.
Famous Demigods:
Holy Roman Empire:
Charlemagne (742–814) – Emperor of the West
Father: Jupiter (Roman Zeus)
Why: Jupiter could father a "chosen king" and claim legitimacy through divine right. His mortal mother, Bertrada, was of noble Frankish blood—perfect cover.
Result: His charisma, imperial ambition, and desire to unite the West echo Jupiter's order.
Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179) – Mystic and composer
Mother: Mnemosyne (Titaness of memory and inspiration)
Why: A nun born to a noble family, Hildegard claimed divine visions and channeled mystical knowledge. Her unknown mystical nature fits a Titaness mother.
Result: Prophetess, musician, and scholar—an oracle in all but name.
Peter Abelard (1079–1142) – Theologian and logician
Father: Hermes
Why: Razor-sharp wit, controversial thinker, master of rhetoric—Hermes' intellectual and provocative nature fits perfectly.
Result: His doomed love with Heloise could parallel Hermes’ own tendency to love but never stay.
Frederick II Hohenstaufen (1194–1250) – “The Wonder of the World”
Father: Apollo
Why: Spoke nine languages, obsessed with knowledge and science, ruled with solar-like radiance and occasional detachment.
Result: His reign was both enlightened and controversial—very much like Apollo’s duality.
Walther von der Vogelweide (~1170–1230) – Poet-minstrel
Father: Eros
Why: Traveling romantic poet singing of love and courtly affection fits a minor love god’s child.
Result: Moves hearts, inspires nobility, but remains rootless—classic demigod wanderer.
William Marshal (1147–1219) – English knight, “the greatest knight who ever lived”
Father: Mars
Mother: A minor noblewoman with mysterious lineage who had blonde hair and green eyes.
Why : William fought over 500 tournaments and served four kings. His strength, honor, and love of single combat are classic Roman war traits.
Personality: Loyal, brave, a rare demigod who lived long and died peacefully—uncommon and revered among demigods.
Jeanne de Clisson (1300–1359) – Pirate of Vengeance
Father: Mars
Why : After her husband was executed for treason, she sold her estates, bought a fleet, and waged naval war on France.
Role: Daughter of Mars Ultor—Mars the Avenger. trained by Fides herself.
Fighting Style: Sea-ambushes, ruthless strikes, wore black armor. Demigods still whisper about her.
Florence:
Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519) – Polymath, inventor, artist
Father: Hephaestus
Why: Born illegitimately to a notary and peasant woman—perfect opening for divine influence. His endless inventions, mechanical sketches, and anatomical studies scream Hephaestus.
Result: A demigod with a mind like a forge—always building, always imagining. Possibly aided by minor automaton spirits.
Lorenzo de’ Medici (1449–1492) – Statesman, patron of the arts
Father: Pluto ( as god of wealth)
Why: Legitimate son of a powerful Florentine banker—he can’t have an unknown mother. But his charm, wealth, and influence fit Plutus, whose wealth is spiritual and cultural as well as monetary. Also ties in with Hitler as a son of Hades to show that artistic children of the underworld can be good.
Result: Funds Olympus-friendly artists. Possibly keeps satyrs in disguise as musicians and tutors.
Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510) – Painter of The Birth of Venus
Mother: Charis (Aglaea) – One of the Three Graces
Why: His portrayals of divine beauty, especially Venus and grace, suggest a maternal source. As a relatively private man with no children or known affairs, a divine mother is plausible. Also leaves Aphrodite able to have an affair with him.
Result: Half-divine eye for elegance, caught between the mortal and divine worlds.
Girolamo Savonarola (1452–1498) – Fiery preacher, moral reformer
Father: Dolos (spirit of trickery, moral paradox)
Why: Public preacher and Dominican friar—he had to be born legitimately. His divine parent must explain his spiritual magnetism, manipulation, and contradictions.
Result: A demigod caught between truth and delusion. May have been manipulated by darker divine forces. Was unclaimed most of life.
Catherine of Bologna (1413–1463) – Mystic, saint, artist
Mother: Melinoë (daughter of Hades and Persephone, goddess of ghosts and visions)
Why: Became a Poor Clare nun; claimed visions, painted religious works, lived quietly. Unknown divine mother works in her cloistered life.
Result: Dream-walker. Could paint what she saw in visions, sometimes glimpses of the Underworld or prophecies from Olympus.
Cesare Borgia (1475–1507) – Condottiere and political terror
Father: Ares
Mother: Vanozza Cattanei (mistress of Pope Alexander VI — historical). Blonde and dark eyed.
Why : Cesare was violent, feared, charismatic, and commanded ruthless armies. Machiavelli based The Prince partly on him.
Personality: Ares’ darker side—brilliant, brutal, ambitious. Possibly driven by divine rage from birth.
Giovanna degli Albizzi Tornabuoni (1468–1488) – Noblewoman & protector
Father: Ares
Why : Married into the Medici family. Rumored to have carried a blade under her silk. Protected artists and healers during the Pazzi Conspiracy.
Role: Ares' daughter with political cunning—more bodyguard than berserker.
Fighting Style: Concealed knives, combat fan, poisoned rings.
Spain:
Miguel de Cervantes (1547–1616) – Author of Don Quixote
Father: Momus (spirit of satire and mockery)
Why: Born to a surgeon, with a troubled, wandering life. Momus fits his genius for poking holes in hypocrisy. His work redefined literature and mirrors divine absurdity.
Result: Wields a pen sharper than a sword. Possibly inspired by a satyr companion disguised as Sancho Panza?
Saint Teresa of Ávila (1515–1582) – Mystic, writer, reformer
Mother: Mneme (Titaness of memory and mystic insight)
Why: Noble family, cloistered life—divine mother fits. Her mystical ecstasies, visions, and powerful writings reflect memory as revelation.
Result: Channels the divine through memory and spiritual flame. Possibly an oracle hidden within the Church.
El Greco (1541–1614) – Painter of otherworldly visions
Father: Phantasos (Oneiroi spirit of surreal dream images)
Why: Born in Crete, settled in Spain. His art is distorted, spiritual, and dreamlike—perfect reflection of Phantasos.
Result: Paints what mortals cannot normally see—possibly glimpses of Olympus or the Mist.
Philip II of Spain (1527–1598) – Empire-builder, religious hardliner
Father: Kratos (spirit of authority and control)
Why: As a powerful king, he must have a mortal mother (Anna of Austria). But his obsession with control, formality, and divine monarchy makes Kratos—a force rather than a god—an apt father.
Result: Rules like a divine law incarnate. Cursed by the gods for taking his "divine right" too literally.
Lope de Vega (1562–1635) – Prolific playwright and poet
Father: Apollo (Roman)
Why: Known as the "Phoenix of Wits", Lope wrote thousands of plays and poems. Born of modest means—room for a god. Apollo fits for his golden, artistic energy and charm.
Result: Apollo's influence fuels his boundless creativity— trained briefly at Camp Jupiter.
Álvaro de Bazán (1526–1588) – Spanish admiral who never lost a battle
Father: Mars
Mother: Noblewoman, full-blooded Roman-Spanish descent
Why: A perfect example of calculated conquest and eternal martial discipline. He died before commanding the Armada—perhaps Mars pulled him back.
Personality: Cold steel. He treated war as art. A demigod trained at Camp Jupiter, who was devoted to Fides and thus become her champion. First case of stepson as Champion in Camp history, Juno takes note.
Catalina de Erauso (1592–1650) – “The Lieutenant Nun”
Father: Ares
Why: Born to a Basque noble family, fled a convent, lived as a man, and became a ruthless soldier in the New World.
Role: Ares' rebellious daughter, navigating both gender and battlefield fluidly.
Fighting Style: Sword duels, pistols, hand-to-hand. banished a empousa infestation.
Germany:
Immanuel Kant (1724–1804) – Philosopher of reason and ethics
Father: Coeus (Titan of intellect and rational inquiry)
Why: Son of a craftsman—no noble status, divine paternity is plausible. His obsessive devotion to pure reason and abstract truth reflects Coeus, and a brief reappearance in the world ties in with the second titanomachy, since Kornos didn't have to go looking for him. He pulled a loki with Samirah's mother, centuries early.
Result: Cannot perceive the Mist—he sees the world too clearly.
Maria Theresa of Austria (1717–1780) – Empress, reformer, mother of 16
Father: Terminus (god of boundaries and law)
Why: She was publicly legitimate (born of Charles VI), so must have a mortal mother. Terminus fits as the god of governance, limits, and imperial order—an ideal match for her rigid but reformist reign. Her mother was a clear sighted mortal.
Result: Protects Roman legacies, including ancient treaties with Olympus. Secretly supports demigod rights within her empire.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749–1832) – Poet, thinker, mystic
Father: Apollo (Greek)
Why: Born into a respected family, but not nobility—leaves room for divine fatherhood. His blend of poetry, science, and mysticism (e.g. Faust) channels Apollo’s golden curiosity.
Result: Known among demigods as “the mortal who almost saw Olympus clearly.” Possibly trained briefly under Chiron in disguise.
Frederick the Great (1712–1786) – Philosopher-king and military genius
Father: Virtus (Roman personification of military virtue)
Why: Publicly legitimate royal son, so divine father preferred. His obsession with discipline, justice, and brilliance suits Virtus.
Result: A demigod king who tamed chaos with law, though his divine blood was a lonely burden.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778) – Philosopher of nature and society
Mother: Naiad (unnamed river spirit or minor nature deity)
Why: Born in Geneva, abandoned by noble circles early on—mystical mother possible. His belief in nature’s purity and the corruption of civilization matches naiad origins.
Result: Feels cities as cages. May have seen nymphs and dryads in childhood and never forgot.
Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (1742–1819) – Hero of Waterloo
Father: Ares
Mother: Rural Saxon woman; his paternity was always questioned
Why : Blücher was fire and fury—nicknamed “Marshal Forwards.” His hatred for Napoleon bordered on divine vengeance.
Personality: Reckless, storm-like, pure Ares energy wrapped in Prussian uniform.
Charlotte Corday (1768–1793) – Assassin of Marat
Father: Mars
Why : Though noble-born, she acted alone to kill a revolutionary leader she saw as dangerous. Claimed to act for peace.
Fighting Style: Knives, stealth, precision. A demigod sacrifice—knew she’d die.
France:
Napoleon Bonaparte (1769–1821) – Emperor, general, symbol of glory and downfall
Father: Zelus (spirit of ambition and rivalry)
Why: Born of minor Corsican nobility (mortal mother required). Zelus, brother of Nike, Kratos, and Bia, explains Napoleon’s insatiable drive, military genius, and fall from Olympus-like heights.
Result: A demigod who tried to claim more than his birthright—ultimately undone by divine law.
Victor Hugo (1802–1885) – Poet, novelist, revolutionary
Father: Apollo (Roman)
Why: Son of a general and deeply spiritual—Apollo fits for his lyricism, moral light, and immense creative power. He blends music, prophecy, and justice.
Result: May have received visions during exile. Possibly protected Camp Half-Blood sympathizers during the revolutions.
Marie Curie (1867–1934) – Scientist of radiation and atomic energy
Father: Hephaestus
Why: Born to a poor but educated family—leaves room for divine father. Her mastery of hidden, dangerous forces echoes Hephaestus’ flame and craft.
Result: Her discoveries resonate through Olympus itself.
Sarah Bernhardt (1844–1923) – Actress and diva, icon of glamour
Mother: Pheme (goddess of fame and reputation)
Why: Born in mysterious circumstances, her rise to superstardom matches the divine whispering of Pheme, who lifts names through rumor and legend.
Result: Her voice and presence have magical allure—could charm crowds or gods. Known among demigods as “the mortal Muse.”
Éliphas Lévi (1810–1875) – Occultist and mystic
Father: Morpheus (god of dreams and illusion)
Why: Born Alphonse Constant, his plunge into mysticism, arcane knowledge, and spiritual paradox suits Morpheus.
Result: Could access dream realms, friends with children of Hecate. Has bound a minor monster into a tarot deck.
Armand-Jacques Leroy (fictional for flavor) – Colonel in the Franco-Prussian War
Father: Ares
Mother: Washerwoman during the Paris Commune
Why : Revolutionary bloodlust and tragic heroism—fought for a doomed republic.
Personality: Angry, idealistic, died young. May have been secretly aided by a child of Athena during the Siege of Paris.
Louise Michel (1830–1905) – Anarchist, revolutionary, teacher
Father: Ares (Greek)
Why: Born out of wedlock, became one of the leaders of the Paris Commune, and fought on the barricades.
Role: Daughter of war and revolution. Defended orphans, founded schools, resisted empire.
Fighting Style: Rifles, slogans, smoke bombs, strategic leadership.
Britain:
Winston Churchill (1874–1965) – War leader, master orator
Father: Zeus
Canonically stated.
Virginia Woolf (1882–1941) – Writer of consciousness and emotion
Mother: Melinoë (goddess of ghosts and madness)
Why: Daughter of a literary family, suffered from visions and deep emotional connection to memory and death. Melinoë fits beautifully, granting her piercing insight into the subconscious.
Result: Could see through the Mist without effort. May have written down demigod experiences as fiction.
Alan Turing (1912–1954) – Mathematician and cryptologist
Father: Hermes (Greek)
Why: Born to civil servants, quiet life. Hermes matches his speed of thought, code-breaking, and boundary-crossing.
Result: One of the few mortals to outpace divine cryptography. Possibly decrypted something Olympus didn’t want decoded.
J.R.R. Tolkien (1892–1973) – Creator of Middle-earth
Father: Apollo
Why: Lost both parents early—room for divine parents. Apollo works for his music, language, and lore.
Result: His writing may have been inspired by divine dreams. Some believe elves in Middle-earth are based on nymphs he saw as a boy
T.E. Lawrence ("of Arabia") (1888–1935) – Spy, soldier, desert hero
Father: Mercury
Why: Illegitimate birth and secretive youth leave plenty of room for divine paternity. His mastery of disguise, travel, and diplomacy make Hermes a perfect match.
Result: Known among demigods as a “Son of Dust and Trickery.” Possibly worked as a mortal agent of Camp Jupiter during WWI.
Deborah Sampson (1760–1827) – (retroactive era) Revolutionary War soldier disguised as a man
Father: Ares
Why Ares?: Lived long before women could fight. Fought in disguise. Received honorable discharge.
Role: Trailblazer. Symbol for future daughters of Ares—bravery in chains.
Fighting Style: Bayonet, cavalry sword, pure grit.
Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery (1887–1976) – British WWII general
Father: Mars
Mother: Publicly recorded; noble-born, but Mars may have assumed a mortal disguise
Why: Rigid, calculating, stubborn, but undeniably effective. Mars may have chosen him to preserve Roman bloodlines through war.
Personality: Cool, commanding, possibly distanced from his divine heritage—felt the weight but rarely claimed it.
The last child he had before WW2:
Audie Murphy (1925–1971) – Most decorated American soldier in WWII
Father: Ares
Mother: Texan sharecropper
Why : Murphy’s valor borders on myth—he held off German troops solo, leapt onto burning tanks, and walked away.
Personality: Humble, haunted.
Ares had zero kids during WW2, and kept himself to Aphrodite and Hephestus afterwards.
It was only after 1980 when most of his demigods died, that he sought out a woman to carry his son.
The number of Ares demigods increased until Canon times when he has like 20 demigods in his cabin between 10 to 20 years of age. Mars has none until Frank, beacause Emily Zhang was a great war partner. And none after as well.

How i think HoO should go.
The lost hero is fine it just needed a little polishing. Make it slightly more of a mystery of the roman camp rather than being beaten over the head about roman gods and then going i wonder the gods were talking about. (Paraphrased line from leo during his talk with hepheastus.)
Slim down the background characters. Mitchell and lacy are the exact same character font with a different gender and never appear again in HoO. The hepheastus cabin head (the one in a full body cast i can't remember his name) should be replaced by Nyssa, who gets a limb taken out by the dragon and that's why the camp is trying to remove it rather than a camper who gets mostly healed by the end of the.
The monsters fights were hard (arguably, Piper failed her fight since her charmspeak couldn't overpower medeas, and medea was alive after the fight)
Son of Neptune is the start of most of the changes.
MAJOR CHANGES
Remove Octavian as a villian. The book spent so much time on trying to establish him as a villian that Gaias plot was left lacking.
Keep him as an antagonist similar to drew or make him a reluctant but distrustful ally like Clarisse and use the other scenes to set up different Gaia plots or the approaching army.
Let camp jupiter reflect how we were introduced via jason. A place where they brand children, use child soldiers despite having adults, and crush people's personalities so they fit an outdated, homogenous persona.
Percy shouldn't feel comfortable in Camp Jupiter. The whole sea doesn't like to be restrained thing.
Make the minor monster fights harder and compliment the person fighting. Percy taking down Phineas via plot armor (despite Gaia never having a plot that needed Percy, her rising just needed the blood of 2 demigods one male one female) was stupid.
MINOR CHANGES
When Percy and co. is about to leave CJ, instead of percy dreaming about Grover he should dream about either Gaia or the impending army.
The hierarchy should have years of service requirements for ranks. Sort of like an actual military does. Percy should not be able to become praetor after 1.5-2 days in camp, 1 week as a member of Camp, and skip 3 entire ranks.
Hazel should start using her gold as shields after Frank goes into Hazel's flashback. Give a bit of variety to the fighting styles of the 7.
Frank should use his bow in combination with his shapeshifting. Maybe he gets sent on scouting out enemy's and is the ranger part of the group.
Sammy is no longer related to Leo and instead the drama comes from the frank and Leo tension comes from Leo's personality. Frank gets over it as he gets to know leo better.
THING I AM IFFY ON
Who become praetor because I refuse to accept percy winning the praetorship. He also has 4 really big things that should have made it harder for him: his time at CJ, him being a rumored greek, CJ believing him to be neptune kid, and him being from the fifth cohort (honestly 5 if u consider he showed up with a goddess who literally said theirs an invasion coming).
On one hand, i think Gwen should have been made praetor and not killed off to develop octavian as a character and to move frank up through the ranks.
On the other, it would have made perfect sense to make the final battle a lot harder and have the rest of the Seven help out towards the end.
Although none of this really matters since the praetorship election isn't super important since octavian isn't a main villian anymore.
Mark of Athena is only really needs a couple of changes
BIG CHANGES
removing the roman vs greek war and having Nemesis be the one to help during the battle between ephialtis and otis.
The war didn't actually hinder the 7 in any real way. They fled camp jupiter, had a minor skirmish in Charleston, and then the war proceeded to slowly progress hell almost come to a halt until the middle of HoH (it took them i think half of MoA to get to the east coast and then another whole book and a half to actually do something vaguely plot progressing. Thx octavian).
Nemesis giving Leo the fortune cookie was great but how it was used so stupidly. Instead he should have used it to summon her during the final battle and have it actually correlate to Annabeth falling into Tartarus.
Baccus' meeting with piper, Jason, and Leo isn't needed anymore since the war isn't going on.
Makes it so his guilt doesn't feel weirdly out of place in HoH.
We're destroying both camps. Yes including camp half-blood. MoA needs to up the stakes to show how much of a threat Gaia is and what better way is for her to succeed where the titans didn't. (Luke and/or Kronos failed to destroy the camps twice once during SoM and the other during BoLT (hehe the acronym is bolt))
How, by using the fauns of course. Rick either unintentionally established that nature deities and spirits were joining Gaia (the gods of wind, goddesses of snow and the rainbow, the barley spirits, lycaons wolf pack).
It wouldn't have been hard. Coach Hedge sets it off, he goes down with the 7, meets don, and starts boasting of all the shit he claims to do.
We know what happens when inexperienced Satyrs use nature magic. It can accidentally hurt people (grover leading percy straight into some thick branches in TLT)
Imagine what would happen if Don and some other fauns tried to do nature magic. Combine that with Gaia doing some whispering about them being literally homeless beggers (also side not describing Don as having an afro and literally begging feels wrong to me).
This leads to the group splitting into people wanting to rescue romans, people wanting to check on camp half-blood, and Annabeth who makes the final decision to continue with the quest.
SMALL CHANGES
Piper is the one sent to Calypso's island. Leo will be remaining single and will get his on time later.
Your telling me that a goddess forcibly sent onto a island was more than willing to leave despite it being millennium since she was free. Yes it was a punishment but it felt like the punishment was the gods sending men who was her type
Also pair it narratively with Piper, a girl who was given false memories of a boy she fell in love with, to Calypso, a goddess who is sent people she can't help fall in love with, and it adds some depth to Piper and Jason's relationship if Piper sees this, compared it to how she met Jason, and still decides at the end of BoO to stay together.
Maybe let the gods keep that oath but Calypso finds the island home and stays despite being allowed to leave.
And quite frankly, with how Khione acted in TLH I don't think she would understand platonic romances (I couldn't think of the word)
Another thing is that it kinda felt that rescuing nico and the mark of Athena quests were kinda separate despite having the same prophecy.
Maybe have the Annabeths quest lead to the building Nico is being held in, have a mechanical contraption leo solves as the doorway, and then have Annabeth split from the group.
Percy and Annabeth are not going to go on a date with all this going on.
House of Hades is mostly a rewrite of the non-tartarus scenes. The rest of the 7 were doing side quests while Percy and Annabeth were doing plot stuff.
BIG CHANGES
The quest should be finding a way to open the doors of death on the mortal side. Maybe using diocletians staff so it actually has a plot purpose rather than just a character purpose.
Frank can still get his vent session but instead of it being at the end of the series its during one the times they split into smaller groups. Maybe during their time with triptolemus, trip was gifted as a way to make up for persephones abduction but he is still salty and has his canon interaction with hazel.
Nico is not going to be a main character. He can be a secondary character but it felt like he took over some scenes that someone from the Seven should have filled.
Like the cupid scene. Leo should have been the one their confessing how he flirts with people as a way of distracting others and as a way of disconnecting from people rather than the awful coming out that nico got.
Nico is still gay though.
Only really change in Tartarus is going to be the Alkys and Nyx scenes. Since Calypso isn't unreasonably angry at percy for something he never promised, Nyx can take over the Annabeth not being able to find Percy.
Make it a real orpheus and eurydice retelling and make the escape from Nyx a trust fall type situation rather than them jumping twenty feet.
We keep Bob as the actual eurydice like he was in canon (i refuse to acknowledge The sun and the star as a continuation of this plot)
Small Bob does escape with them though.
At the very end instead of just Reyna meeting up with the 7, a group CHB and CJ meet up.
The group contains Octavian, Rachel, Reyna, Nyssa, Will, Michael Kahille, Drew, and a few background characters.
They are the ones to take the statue of Athena to Athens because the heart of the gods being in New York was not good.
Athens is where the new camp will be set up.
MINOR CHANGES
Make the fights harder. It felt like nobody every really got injured. Jason gets knocked out a lot but other than bring stabbed in the back in BoO but the rest never seemed to get majorly taken out or even felt human.
Everyone got of fights easily, nobody was really injured in a way that actually made it harder for them plot wise.
Maybe Hazel's fainting spells start coming back since that's a medical condition that normally doesn't get fixed via the power of love. Leo or Piper could have fainted from exhaustion by overusing their powrrs since they'd only learned about demigods less than a year ago.
Switch of the pairing and allow the SoN trio and TLH trio to actually bond outside of their introductory books.
Show Hazel attempting and failing to use the mist during a couple of the minor encounters with monsters.
Add in a few throwaway lines of the earth behaving erratically like we got in the original series. News anchors talking about how tectonic plates were shifting in drastic ways or how extreme weather patterns were forming out of nowhere
Blood of Olympus needs the most work done
MAJOR CHANGES
Reyna and Nico arent povs. They were the best out of this book and it took away from the 7.
Their povs aren't needed since the war doesn't exist and we don't need him to get the statue back to long island.
The 7 give the Parthenos to the mixed groups of romans and greeks that met up with them at the end of HoH and we only hear about it in the rare occasional Annabeth chapter.
The original journey took away from the whole Gaia rising thing and the whole fixing the split between roman and greek personality thing the gods had going on was never really an issue for the 7 so fixing it never really mattered.
Also just returning the statue never made much sense because the split was caused by the romans syncretyzing (spelling is probably wrong) their gods with the greeks so the parthenos shouldn't have fixed that.
The final battle with Gaia should happen near the original olympus like she said it would (rip the gods roots out at their beginning or something along those lines) or it shouldn't happen at all.
Kinda torn on this because if its the 7 and gods stalling until the 1st of August is over than it kinda ends anticlimactic but if Gaia does rise then we have to go the canon route of "killing" her in the sky.
With the canon option, she needs to be a bigger threat. Maybe she slowly rising from the earth and attacking her seems to do nothing.
Give her a physical looking body rather than the formless cloud of dirt she was in canon. Can get a funny but terrifying scene of Gaia stretching as soon as she wakes up.
The gods attack while the demigods deal with the remaining giants that are approaching. They realize that they are barely doing anything since Gaia is both healing them and they can't kill them since they gods are distracted trying to prevent Gaias rise.
This is where the whole gods and mortals working together thing happens. Instead of pairing up with their parents though they pair up with the god most different from their parents.
Piper and Annabeth with Ares and vise versa with Frank, Hazel and Percy swap (Pluto being very rigid in how he runs his domain vs Poseidon being relaxed and laid back), Leo works with Zeus and Jason Hepheaustus.
This way the demigod can fill in the gaps where the god isn't able to.
If the fight is to a stalement the battle ends when Reyna and Annabeth get the statue back to its original place in Athens and the pathenos sets up a new barrier for a new camp.
If its not, then frank is dying in this battle. I mean frank is dying anyway since he is the one I'm going to choose to defeat Gaia since he's both storm and fire (legacy of Poseidon and the whole lifeline stick thing of his).
MINOR CHANGES
Orion hunting Reyna is shown on page rather than only showing the end of the encounter. Makes the journey rougher since Octavian isn't an issue anymore.
The 7 going to Ithaca has an actual plot reason now. It being they need to learn where Gaia intends to rise from since they're are so many important places in Greece.
The physicians cure does not exist and the trip to Delos to meet Apollo doesn't happen because we aren't doing the trials of Apollo.
We are doing trials of Hera instead.
A couple of minor myths Rick didn't touch on for some reason make an appearance, like Hypolyta, that one male hunter whose name is can't remember, or the story of Cadmus.
Make the fights more dangerous. I feel like I put this on every single book.
AT THE END OF THE SERIES
Hera was already cast out of Olympus in an earlier book so their is no need for Apollo to be turned mortals. Also no Octavian being a villian helps.
The gods help build up a new camp for both the romans and greeks. Maybe the romans get a camp near troy while the greeks get Athens or they both share one single camp.
The Parthenos replace Thalias tree and the romans no longer have to post guards outside their tunnel.
The greeks should help lighten up the remaining romans attitudes while the romans help the greeks build up a safe city for the demigods to live in.
Make use of the whole Romans are good at building things quickly that got established during the war games.
The oracle thing still happened so Hera is fixing that. Octavian, Rachel, and Ella are working on deciphering the few remaining pieces off the temple of Jupiter alongside what Ella remembers of the original Sybilline books.

Rectifier (Ao3) - Chapter One
A ROTTMNT x DC crossover fic
Summary:
Donnie's hand clung tightly to his little brother's shoulder, watching as Lichtenberg's scars traveled up Mikey's arms. Donnie’s fingers burned as he anchored himself to Mikey, his breathing sharp and chest heaving. Raph was in an injured heap behind them, his leg bent at an awkward angle. Donnie’s head ached, but he knew Mikey could do it. The universe ripped at the seams, and Leo was pulled from the clutches of the Kraang. Orange light swallowed Donnie whole as he kept a firm hand on his youngest brother. OR Donnie and Mikey end up in an alternate universe where, instead of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, there is a Justice League. Mikey is hurt, and Donnie is left to his own devices. OR Donnie accidentally becomes one of Batman’s rogues.
Bonus snippit in case you're not convinced ;D
While Mikey was snoozing on the fire escape Donnie hoisted them up onto. He got to work, figuring out where they were. At first he figured they were in Newark, New Jersey; but opening the map threw him for a loop. Gotham. They were in a place called Gotham City, a place that should not exist. A place that does not exist.
Next, he pulled up the news; the attack on New York should be on every major news outlet. But it was not. There was no mention of the Kraang’s invasion or pink fleshy aliens attacking the city. Instead, the news was covering an organization known as the Justice League. It was something straight out of a comic book: a team of superheroes that defended the world against threats. Donnie swore this was the exact plot of the one Jupiter Jim comic run.

If youre still doing it, heroify Lex Luthor
The fish-in-a-barrel answer is Tony Stark, but the intuitive answer, not to mention the version I've actually seen executed at least twice- is that you ask the question- what if he's right, about Superman being bad news?- and then you go from there.
I'm actually going to take this opportunity to talk up one of the few Mark Millar comics that I recommend wholeheartedly, Jupiter's Circle, which is interesting in that the setting's Luthor analogue, Jack Hobbes, is essentially playing Luthor's cope-and-seethe angle completely straight, as a thing which he legitimately believes and which he's ultimately basically correct to believe in spite of most superheroes being at least decent people.
What was interesting to me about this portrayal is that Hobbes eventually decides that he miscalculated, that he can do more good by working with the Utopian as his friend and confidant than by fighting him every step of the way. It's a straight-up Lex Luthor redemption story. But the thing is that the setting of the comic as a whole is predicated on the idea that he was actually completely correct- although he doesn't live to see it, although he dies thinking he was initially misguided, the long-term trajectory of the setting is that superheroes eat the world, politics and activism alike subordinated to their petty grievances and soap opera idiocy. A major plot point of the second volume of this was that Not!Batman's turn towards militant leftism gets completely written off by his 1960s contemporaries because they're so used to reading his behavior through the lens of whiny rich-kid superhero interpersonal drama that they just can't parse it correctly. The comic advances that there's a self-centeredness and egotism inherent to the superhero that makes them suck ass at effecting long term positive change, but they also aren't going away, and they can blow up skyscrapers. At the point where I stopped reading, the setting was implied to be caught in a kind of boom-and-bust doom cycle where the superheroes gradually create a singular hegemony, then collapse into hyperdestructive infighting over what to do with that hegemony once they run out of conventional supervillains to fight- the aftermath of which clears the board for a new wave of the classic silver age cops-and-robbers game, which then gradually hegemonizes, ad infinitum. (This is a line of thinking that crops up in a lot of Millar's capepunk work once you know what to look for- Wanted, Old Man Logan, and to some extent The Ultimates all being examples.)
Another example of Heroic Lex Luthor, which I've written about before, is the comic Edison Rex, a comic whose pitchline is that the setting's Luthor analogue, the titular Edison Rex, turns out to have been completely correct that the setting's Superman analogue was an unwitting sleeper agent for an alien invasion, and steps up to replace him as Earth's foremost protector after finally neutralizing him- but since all he really knows how to be is a supervillain, his management style and problem-solving methodology from his time as an ends-justify-the-means anti-superman crusader translate to the new job with extremely mixed results. The comic ran 18 issues and remains unfinished, but it was pretty good.
#jupiter's circle#jupiter's legacy#thoughts#meta#asks#ask#ask game#mark millar#lex luthor#by the time I stopped reading i got the sense jupiter was about to go somewhat off the rails#so I don't vouch for anything aside from the first two volumes of circle and legacy#effortpost

Concept: Just everyone in Camp Halfblood preparing for a full scale Roman invasion. Because by this point Jason’s got his memories back.
And they’re all aware that oh we just accidentally kidnapped one of Camp Jupiters leaders.
We’re royally screwed.
Annabeth’s grilling Jason on his camps about battle tactics and Jason is more then happy to share.
He innocently asks why Annabeth’s suddenly interested in the inner workings of Camp Jupiter.
And the answer completely takes him off guard. He just stares at her strangely before replying that there isn’t going to be any fighting.
“Jason I get you not wanting to fight them. They’re your friends but I highly doubt they’ll feel the same about us.”
“It’s not that. I mean I’d hate to fight them too but there’s not going to be a fight. No one’s coming.”
Everyone looks at Jason like he’s insane because what do you mean no one’s coming?! We’re the enemy and you matter a lot to them.
If anything Jason looks even more confused because sure he’s their leader or rather was at this point.
But that doesn’t mean he mattered to them. There’s no search parties, he can guarantee that and his replacement has surely already been found.
“So what they’re all just gonna pretend like you died” asks his sister, his clearly livid and barely holding herself back from storming Camp Jupiter, sister.
Jason shakes his head because death implies mourning and reminiscing.
Someone else would take credit for reforms he tried to push. All his actions and his feats would never be talked about with a name to place them with.
“It’ll be less like I died and more like I never existed at all” replies Jason with an air of calm acceptance.
Because really he can’t grasp why everyone else is so confused by something he’s known all along.
The battle is over. The war has been won and the good little solider boy has outlived his use.
What’s so confusing about that?

Leo has a lot of love for his comics, constantly rereading them (mainly for the art) and overall having a lot of sentimental value for them, especially because reading them is something he likes to do when he’s just existing in a space with his family.
And then the Shredder happens. And then the invasion happens. And then life in general happens. And, suddenly, most of Leo’s comics are either too damaged to fix or gone entirely.
But it’s fine! He’s growing up, so he doesn’t need them anymore. So what if it’s one more bit of childhood lost? It’s fine - it’s fine.
Enter Mikey.
Mikey, who is so, so empathetic and cares so, so much about his family - he notices, and he decides to do something about it.
Unfortunately, most of the comics are vintage, and completely unavailable in any form but digital.
Good thing Mikey is an artist.
So over the course of a month, Mikey secretly takes the time to painstakingly recreate Leo’s favorite Jupiter Jim volume. It’s hard, matching a style like that with only grainy online scans to go off of, but he manages.
He gives it to Leo on a mundane day, out of the blue, with a sunshine smile on his face.
Now- Mikey does all this secretly.
But Leo is very, very perceptive, especially in regard to his brothers hiding things from him. So of course he finds the unfinished work in progress comic about three days in.
He does NOT cry. He doesn’t.
Just as he doesn’t cry when Mikey presents him with the finished thing, nope, not a tear in sight.
His eyes are just wetter than normal as he gives Mikey the absolute biggest hug he could possibly give.
(And if Mikey finds the fridge and pantry always stacked with special ingredients only found in specific parts of the world whenever he so much as mentions wanting to try them, that’s neither here nor there.)
#rottmnt#rottmnt leo#rottmnt mikey#rise leo#rise mikey#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#Leo portaling to another country and spending hours desperately trying to figure out which of the beans he found was the one Mikey mentioned#mikey spending hours on one panel on the days his arms are acting up#and he gets so frustrated because he HAS to make it perfect for Leo#and Leo just so happens to text him hey let’s go skateboarding!#(totally not because Leo noticed and decided to make Mikey take a break)#listen I love this duo sm they’re just so good#they mean so much to me sobs
