Jekyll has a full routine before bed and Hyde talks his ear off the whole time he’s doing it

Jekyll drinks the potion every night so he doesn’t turn back into Hyde accidentally like he did before

Jekyll has a favourite sleeping gown

Jekyll sleeps with a candle on because he’s afraid someone like Hyde will break in and he won’t be able to see them

Hyde likes to sleep with a cloak as a blanket

Jekyll is pro afternoon power naps

First thing they do before falling asleep is have a conversation

Hyde will have them pass out from exhaustion before willingly sleeping

Hyde prefers a hard mattress while Jekyll prefers a softer one

They are both very sleep deprived

If they were to cuddle someone (unlikely) Jekyll would be little spoon and Hyde big spoon

Jekyll is a night owl so he mostly sleeps during the day

They both carburate on 3-5 hours of sleep and either sheer will or rage

Hyde likes to talk to Jekyll while they brush their teeth

Jekyll journals before bed

Hyde sleeps with only pants on

Also daily Gothic lit headcanon just because I can: Jekyll and Frankenstein had A Thing in university. They parted on good terms and all but it was sort of 'right person, wrong time'ish.

Doesn't change the fact that jekyll/hyde/utterson/lanyon is my otp though :P

+ more yappery because evidently I wanna infodump about my sillies now: Jekyll has a thing for vampires. And he probably would meet Dracula and literally go "so if you wanted to bite me I wouldn't say no-" cause he's stupid like that.

Whenever Hyde is sick he is very dramatic about it. Enfield is also very dramatic about being sick and routinely drags himself to Utterson’s house whenever he catches a cold just to inform Utterson that he is very miserable right now. Utterson just makes him tea. When Jekyll is sick, he just lounges around looking like a sickly Victorian child. Poole has gotten used to this and probably sends someone to get Lanyon or Utterson to distract Jekyll lmao

Jackson and Holt headcanons because i said so ( part 1 )

Jackson Jekyll

Because he's half fire elemental, his tolerance to heat is slightly higher than the average normie. Especially because his body is used to Holt's fire, it may take a second for Jackson's brain to process "fire burns, fire bad".

Jackson's body also runs hotter than the average normie, not enough to be inherently monstrous but enough to seem like an odd quirk that's always pointed out.

Jackson was the one to pierce their eyebrow.

Valedictorian forever and always ( Ghoulia causes slightly too much trouble to earn the title )

Steals Holt's clothes if he gets invited out somewhere by "cool people" to do "cool activities"

Holt Hyde

Due to being half normie, Holt's pyrokinesis is a lot more managable than most fire elementals. He can hold fire easily but struggles to actually create it. Creating fire happens more unintentionally than not, but never enough for him to have ever properly learned to control the power.

Holt is way more active at night because he couldn't exist in the day prior to their trigger changing. It's still weird to be in the daylight for him.

Holt has tinnitus because of the constant loud music he likes and has to play to be himself.

Holt wears platformed shoes and tells everyone hes biologically taller than Jackson, Jackson assures everyone their height is the exact same down to the millimeter.

Steal's Jackson's button downs and ties/bows if he's going to a fancy event bevause he doesn't own any

Rating gothic literature scientists based on how their evil laugh would sound

Victor Frankenstein: A mad, hoarse giggle. Perpetually hysterical and nervous when he does laugh but also with a note of twisted wonder. Coined the classic howling-laughter-with-lightning-backdrop-trope but almost got his asthma to flare up halfway through. 7/10

Henry Jekyll: While it's expected for his counterpart to sound all nasty and snarky, hearing Jekyll emit an evil laugh seems almost uncanny. You do NOT want to be on that other end. 10/10 for the cognitive dissonance lol

Edward Hyde: That man can only ever laugh evilly. That's his default, he can't help it. Though when he's REALLY riled up and exhilerated it turns into a horrid screechy cackle 10/10

Griffin: The kind of sadistic laugh a ne'er-do-good villain would make as he ties his hapless victim to the traintracks while rubbing his hands mischievously. Imagine getting beat up by thin air and all you hear is MWEHEHEHAHA 7/10

Philipp P. Preobrazhensky: Less evil and more...mischievous I suppose, with a jolly undertone. He's oddly blasé with commiting surgical atrocities. 9/10 because his mustache twitches upwards

James Moriarty: THE quiet rich people laugh if you've ever heard one. A deep, cheeky hm-hm sound as he contemplates his game of mindchess with Sherlock. 6/10

I am stressed as hell right now with everything going on in the US so Imma going to write what I think some of my favorite killers are like when they're darling reader comes to them stressed as hell. Many of them are going to be readers I've already written about at least once so feel free to check the masterlist. If you want more head canons feel free to ask.

The Knight is startled when Eldritch!reader asks to just cuddle, you're smaller then usual body tense and when he touches your skin he can feel the hidden shadows trying to pull him in. "Anything for you Szeretet," he whispers picking you up and holding you against his chest. He takes you to his bed though it looks more like the nest you have in your castle then an actual bed. You smile realizing he's slowly bringing pieces of you in. He doesn't find himself worthy of you, but if you insist on asking him for comfort it would be his honor to provide it.

The Ghostface is confused as hell watching Hyde!reader pacing the room. You're killer side is usually scarily calm most of the time. However you look ready to lash out. Ready to pounce and shred the next person who so much as looks at you. You turn around seeing him there and he was bracing himself to get rushed and pinned against the wall, but it never came. Instead he watches you slowly move to him picking him up holding him in your arms as you move to the couch slumping down. You don't say anything to him, but you do hold him almost painfully tight against your chest. "Everything alright?" He asks you. Not sure how to feel about the non-committal grunt you give.

The Hillbilly doesn't think twice already wrapping you tight in the warmest knit blanket he's got, he's got popcorn, hot cocoa, and all the sweets you can gorge yourself on. Your favorite movie is on and he's just enjoying your company as you both lay on the couch, though if you don't calm down he might be inclined to help his little critter out by using other methods of getting your brain to shut down.

The Trapper doesn't react much just pulls you into bed and asks you to just speak. It doesn't matter if he understands he just wants to listen. He wants to hear everything, wants to make sure you feel heard. He smiles when you finally break your worries spilling like a faucet as he takes everything in asking questions when you pause. You seem at ease once you're done looking so peaceful tucked up under his arm. His Brat looks so sweet when they lay in bed next to him so peacefully. Burden him will you, it makes him feel less alone to hear you. Makes him feel lighter when he helps you share the emotional load.

The Executioner is use to it. You're already stressed about this and that. You aren't dating, but he does know how to get you calm down, you pinned beneath him in the bed as he humps against your ass. So fucking perfect he thinks feeling you melt against his touch. Such a needy toy, maybe he'll force you on your knees as he sharpens his knife, your face pressed against his thigh nose buried into his clothed groin. You're surrounded by his musk and for some reason that pacifies you. Not that pyramid head can complain.

The legion, they're solution to everything is horror movies and cuddle puddle. The neediest person in the center of the puddle a killer in each arm, a third holding behind while the fourth finds himself between your legs. The look smug when they finally get you to sleep. Your snoring soothing. It isn't long before they're passed out too.

Utterson doing Hyde's messy hair for some dinner party.

Post-canon where, instead of dying, Utterson gets there in time and finds out about Jekyll's secret and helps him through it. So now we have Utterson trying his best to treat Hyde as well as Jekyll.

He attempts to drag take him to parties that Jekyll would go to, make sure he's presentable and gentlemanly, very tame encounters like that. Very nice, very casual. Meanwhile Hyde/Jekyll is wondering why in the world his friend hasn't left yet, and keeps trying to act out as Hyde to prove something to himself. It hasn't worked yet.

They're both trying to remain civil as Hyde complains about Utterson brushing his hair too roughly or how much he doesn't want to go outside, while Utterson has practically tuned him out and is going "oh yeah this is definitely Henry."

Doctorate in biology

Bisexual (the closet so deep you think there’s nothing in there)

He met Jekyll at school and they were studying buddies (like one of them reexplained the lecture to the other in a way that the other understood)

Keeps everything but his laboratory clean

Met Utterson through a messy testament issue involving Jekyll and a dead mentor they shared

Enjoys social gatherings and often thrives in them

Cardiac problems

Messy handwriting (barely readable)

Owns a personal journal to track his sanity

Goes outside at least once a day to not go insane from the loneliness of his day to day life 

Does some medical treatments for the lower class folks against favours like cooking or cleaning his house

A hugeeee fan of salty food

Regularly goes to assist surgeons 

Later in life he became a part time teacher at a university 

He ate grass as a kid 

Unironically loves hats and has a huge collection of them

Clawdeen started getting feelings for Toralei during the sport webisodes when Toralei joined all the sports due to being competitive.

Howleen's straight pink hair is a lace-front because her mom doesn't want her to dye it yet (is jealous of Clawdeen because of it)

Clawdeen dyes her hair constantly but because her fur grows so fast its back to normal in just a few days, she is constantly trimming it.

Werewolf's commonly tuck their tails into their clothes or trim the fur because they don't like altering clothes and their tails are thicker than were-cats

Frankie is poly

Frankie is also intersex (franken monster)

Deuce and Cleo have spa dates because their skin dries out and they need extra moisturization.

Venus and Clawdeen had a fling

Clawd's mom cuts his fur for him because he always butches it

Lagoona and Gill sneak out every other friday

Lagoona taught everyone how to understand zombie and has her own class/ study group for it at MH

slow-mo has a speeding problem

Clawd and Clawdeen are from the same litter but Clawd was premature and Clawdeen was late. Clawdeen kicked him out of the womb (originally twins meant to be born at the end of February, beginning of march)

toralei beats up other bullies (especially ones she deems takes it too far) but no one ever knows because it "could ruin her rep"

draculaura has to be reassured about her and clawd's relationship consistently bc of their age gap

Clawdeen struggles to not chase balls and whistles like clawd, the whistles hurt her ears

- not a lot of physical stuff in public tbh

- they stick to hand holding or cleo is holding on deuce’s arm mostly but they both definitely have those “sleepy eyes” so sometimes when they look at eachother ppl feel some INSANE chemistry when in reality cleo is just tryna figure out if her man is seeing the same tea she is (the answer: yes)

- they DO however like to cuddle and have repeatedly been found snuggling underneath a heated blanket

- cleo plays with deuces snakes sometimes. they adore her

- deuce has done big showy gestures every now and then for cleo and she eats it up everytime

- flowers and chocolates in her locker, instagrim stories dedicated to her, probably a highlight or two, y’all already know

• draculaura and clawd

- always touching. hand holding, linked pinkies, drac is holding clawd’s arm in the halls, or clawd has his arm around drac. any and all physical contact with these two

- in canon drac writes a lot of poetry so sometimes she leaves it in clawd’s locker as a surprise and when he sees drac after reading it he just holds her really tight

- they also snuggle a lot bc draculaura is ALWAYSS cold and clawd is like her personal cuddly radiator so if theyre ever together, 9/10 they’re napping

• spectra and porter

- YES A LOT but not in like a weird way

- porter is always on spectra, flopped over her shoulder or head while she’s sitting, head on her lap or side. if he’s not vandalizing, he’s all up in spectra’s space

- spectra has asked him about it before bc she knows it’s not her body temperature (ghosts don’t get cold/warm) and porter’s just like “babe i just wanna be in ur skin ya know?”

*bewildered spectra* “no i don’t?? the fuck??”

- it’s her perfume. that’s literally it. he’s obsessed w it

- spectra doesn’t mind tho. she’s usually playing with his hair while his head is on her lap

- if they’re in a quiet corner to themselves sometimes spectra will lay her legs in his lap and he’ll draw on her knees while she’s writing

• abbey and heath

- heath has tried big romantic gestures and they always somehow went wrong but abbey appreciated them since she knew he tried hard

- however abbey did ask him to stop since she is a shy ghoul and doesn’t like to be put in the spotlight like that (especially since one of them was heath attempting to sing a love ballad to her)

- based on a fic i read, they’ve both become careful with how much physical contact they have with eachother since heath can’t regulate his body temp as well as abbey can

- kisses. all. the. time

- nothing crazy tho. usually just a quick kiss on the cheek or forehead (lol height difference couple) or sometimes heath kisses abbey’s hand bc he knows abbey is lowkey an old fashioned ghoul and it makes her feel special <3

- they don’t normally cuddle but they both LOVE to dance so whenever they’re fanging out they put on music to jam out

• lagoona and gil

- not a lot in the beginning bc of the risk of gil’s parents finding out

- even now it’s not a ton but it’s usually gil’s hand on lagoona’s back, gently guiding her through whatever crowd they’re going through

- hand holding is kinda uncomfortable for water monsters since their fingers are webbed and even the clasp type hand holding doesn’t bode well

- sometimes they hold each others fingers while they talk. lagoona will just take gil’s hand and examine it while he talks or vice versa

- if they’re sitting next to eachother they’re always leaning on one another

- gil really likes to surprise lagoona with shiny trinkets he finds while swimming. he’ll even put it in a little jewelry box for her to open

- lagoona has made jewelry out of some of the shells gil finds for her

- she wears it a lot

• holt/jackson and frankie

- depends on who’s fronting tbh

- holt is very physically affectionate. arm around frankie, holding her hand, kisses, hugs from behind…you name it he’s probably done it

- he just likes to show off his ghoul

- frankie doesn’t mind until people are staring

- frankie herself likes to hold Holt’s hand or arm (he buff) or cuddle with him since he’s cute when he sleeps

- Holt will take Frankie to his gigs and dedicates a few songs to her

- they both love to dance, especially during Holt’s gigs and he has her with him behind the booth (bc he’s overprotective asf)

- jackson sticks with hand holding in public but has tweaked a few experiments to show off frankie during Mad Science Class

- when they study together frankie will run her fingers through his hair and he gets so relaxed it’s unbelievable

- when they’re chilling by themselves tho jackson will lay on frankie’s lap or legs while he’s reading

- frankie will shower jackson with kisses all over his face and he goes so red she laughs everytime

• invisi billy and scarah

- always holding hands!!

- since billy can control whether he wants to be seen or not, sometimes he’ll (try) sneak up on scarah and plant a few kisses

- billy got hounded on by the mansters when he once pulled up to casketball practice, visible, with messy hair and very specific blue lipstick marks on his face and neck

- him and scarah still haven’t lived it down

my HCs for holt and jackson

JJ and HH as they currently are have a mental block keeping their thoughts and memories separate, though things can leak through (ex: knowing who Drac was). They communicate through recordings, texts, notes, and daily diary entries (just to make sure the other knows what happened that day).

As they mature, in addition to their trigger likely changing, this block softens until they can talk to each other in their head and they fully share memories (though they still feel like someone else’s memories to each.)

Because they share a body, it’d be a waste of time to try and make both HH and JJ take all the classes. So they split the subjects up between each other and switch based on whoever’s class is up. Who fronts during lunch and free time is a toss-up unless one of them made plans, so they just do whatever and their friends work around it.

They go by he/they pronouns in a specific way. When referring to a personality, use he. When referring to the body, use they. Obviously, if referring to both, use they. Ex: • “Where’s Jackson?” “They’re in the library.” • “What does Holt like to eat?” “He likes spicy food.” • “Who are HH and JJ descendants of?” “They’re descendants of Jekyll and Hyde.”

I’ll probably add more later if I think of any worth sharing :)

Jackson Jekyll’s mom always interested me because I always had a headcanon that Jekyll or Hyde side would come out more depending on the kid.

Like I imagine his mom’s Hyde side would come out more with Jackson, especially when he was younger, because she’s more worried about him being harmed and wants to protect him. I especially know she came out after the whole Ghoul’s Rule bullshit cause there’s no way her son was arrested, almost put to death, and she just sat still. Like you know the headmistresses office must’ve sounded crazy the next morning.

And I love to think his mother’s Jekyll side is out more when Holt is there, mainly just to keep him calm and dote on him. You know she definitely tells everyone at her job about her babies music!

- Hyde got himself steelcapped boots once. You never know whom you'll have to kick in the nuts tonight

- Adam would absolutely be one to correct other people's grammar. Not only because he's pretentious, but it's also a pet peeve of his

- The Baker Street irregulars have an ongoing rivalry with Fagin's gang and get into fights often. Especially Wiggins and Dodger

- Utterson was head of the chess club back in college and has up until this point beaten both Jekyll and Lanyon every single time

- Jekyll has played the piano from a young age. First he despised it, then he bragged with it and now he barely has any time because work. His friends still insist on him playing at gatherings after a few glasses

- Holmes is a hyperflexible fellow, which means whenever he has no guests over and/or when he's thinking extra hard or something, he'll sit in his armchair with his limbs in impossible angles all over the place. My man doesn't know how to get comfortable normally

-Watson's wounded arm still gives him grief from time to time, especially during rainy and gloomy weather
