by the way i actually dramatically sympathize with vergilius's stance on don quixote because imagine. you are sitting on a bus as a tour guide. six feet away from you? it's Vlad the Impaler. he goes :3 on a regular basis. he's held in check by his fucked up pair of light up Sketchers that he talks about like theyre people. he has power washed every memory out of his brain. he is collecting action figures. he may or may not be indulging his escapist fantasy of Not Being So Violently Noteworthy To The Hague. vlad the impaler sometimes goes "my aspirations are Being Kind and Just :3" then! commits a felony misdemeanor to that end. he's doing his redemption arc but forgot to remember needing one.

Excellent excellent. I was thinking about this before I fell asleep last night and I was like "hm yknow I should ask Freddie about it in the morning" XD. oh hey back to red honey talk :3 how would Twitch feel learning about scenarios where people consumed it against their will? ie. jamie's situation, or the situation with victor albert being given it as a baby

please you can't come in here with a :3 right after "red honey talk" when that's like waltzing into my inbox with a hydrogen bomb

anyway this got me Thinking. i think twitch would simplify red honey in their brain for a long time into Just "people only take this by choice and totally disregard or even enjoy my/other victim's pain, and that makes them bad." because that's a lot easier to process! i can't imagine they're putting a lot of thought into whoever is consuming the red honey or why, they just know it causes them pain

so i don't think it would even occur to them (or, more accurately they just don't like to think about it) that someone could do all of that, and then ALSO inflict it on other people to make them suffer too. that's a whole new level of fucked up for them to process

that said, if they Did find out--once they'd gotten over the "oh god do people actually do that" hurdle, more than anything they'd be understandably Fucking Furious at whoever forced someone to take it against their will. does red honey not already cause enough pain that they have to bring in other innocent people too?? i think twitch would 100% consider it one of the most evil things anyone can do

as for whoever was forced to take it-although they're Obviously uncomfortable with the concept of anyone taking red honey, they'd understand it wasn't their choice. they absolutely do not want to talk about it, it gets left at that, but they wouldn't be upset at the person.

(extra for funsies: one possible exception is if it was their memories. that would complicate things. they still wouldn't blame the person who experienced them, but the concept of being around someone who knows that they went through that and knows things about ""twitch"" that twitch doesn't even know themselves, and doesn't want to know, makes them feel 1000 emotions they can't put a word to.

if it was someone they didn't know well who approached them to tell them, they're getting kicked to the ground + threatened with a sword to never, ever speak to them again or they're getting permakilled.

if it was someone they knew & liked--honestly, they're still getting threatened with a sword and told to stop talking Right Now do not say another fucking word about this we are forgetting this happened and you are not ever mentioning it again.

but even with someone they were close to-they would find that incredibly difficult to move past. they have a very real fear of people seeing them differently because of the cage gardens or because of something related to who "they" were Before the cage gardens that they're not even aware of themselves. even if it's pity, or sympathy they don't want it!! i think thy could move past it eventually, providing that doesn't happen, though. and providing the person respects their wishes, of course)

"Ah, Chuuya, this is so fun!" Dazai exclaimed, his arms wide open as he watched the red lasers drop down from the sky and explosions from distant buildings.

A beautiful red '9 of Hearts' card in his bandaged, bloodied hand they received as a souvenir for their first game in the borderlands. A manic grin stretched on his face. His giddiness shown through his shaky hands.

The chocolate-haired man breathed into the air that smelt like metal and gunpowder, a chuckle threatening to bubble from his lips to which he didn't bother stopping. The suicidal maniac can't get enough of the adrenaline and the exhilarating feeling of death. The thing he wants the most is just at his fingertips.

Chuuya looked at his partner standing on the railing— nearly falling on the edge to his death— under the brim of his fedora, his arms crossed against his chest as he leaned against the rooftop bar.

"Fun for you, maybe," Chuuya mumbled as he looked away from Dazai's figure to the smoking gun wrapped in his calloused fingers.

It was fortunate for Chuuya to be given the role of mafia in the game they just had. After all, he is mafia before the original world had gone. Unfortunately for the other players in the game, Dazai and Chuuya were the ones playing mafia.

It was two hours between sessions, and Dazai enjoyed exploring the hotel that hosted the game. Instead of killing those players painlessly, he took the time to use suicide methods on the innocent.

'Barbaric but not completely uncharacteristic of Dazai to do,' Chuuya observed the suicidal maniac. Unlike Dazai, Chuuya did his best giving his victims a quick and painless death.

Both mafiosos didn't give the doctor the chance to give someone a grace period either. After all, the first victim they killed was the doctor.

Pity for the innocents.

It didn't seem to be completely by chance that their first victim was the doctor, who was unfortunate to die by Dazai's hands, who he seduced by the time the game had started. That bastard maniac clearly knew the victim was a doctor.

Chuuya didn't know how the doctor died but the body was already placed on the bed looking quite serene as if she had rested in peace. Her school uniform was neat and arranged, with no crease or dirt in sight. The middle part of her hair was clean and not out of place like how Chuuya had seen when she was still alive. A plastic bouquet with her hands placed on her chest. Everyone but the detective was there in the room.

"Pretty..." Chuuya had heard someone mumble beside him and Dazai had the audacity to reply to him in a soft tone, "Right?" and an audible gag from one of the participants before all of them dropped one by one on the floor— either in seizures or foam forming in the mouth.

"That looks painful, alright..." Dazai hummed when he knelt down and inspected the bodies, "So much for a quick death." he mumbled, throwing a little bag of drugs into the corner of the room.

'Ah,' Chuuya thought as he blinked, 'he probably used the drugs that were supposed to be taken to Mori.'

He probably placed it somewhere along the water bottles he found a while ago. Chuuya was sure Dazai was going to use it for himself.

A rush of footsteps "What is going—" The detective had barely spoken when he already felt the bullet of Chuuya's gun digging into his stomach.

"Should I go join more games?" Dazai happily hummed to himself, pocketing the card and a gun into his pants, and went down the stairs with a bounce to his step. Chuuya scoffed but went after him anyway.

"Do that yourself, you idiot,"

"But you're following me though."

"I wanna see you die." The ginger simply said, grumpy enough that this lanky brunette was walking beside him.

"Chuuya!" Dazai exclaimed, his voice echoing through the empty streets of Yokohama. "I didn't know you cared for me!"

"Like hell, you dumbass!" the shorter man grumbled, slouching like an old man and walking faster than the brunette. "I can die peacefully once I know you're in hell."

Dazai scoffed out a laugh, a grin painting his face.

"Whatever you say, Chuuya."

With this new hell that Dazai somehow managed to drag into, at least it's another way for himself to die, albeit caught Chuuya into this mess as well.

Honestly I really love occult horror and indie games Thicc with story so to get to play it when I'd heard about it on tumblr and find out it was really good was awesome! I hope there is a storyline for investigating the conspiracy but if there's multiple endings depending on how you approach the story thatd also be so cool 👀 (like if we track down mother/father and find out what they knew) or work to start a new life plagued by the charm and end up dealing with more occult horror or work on more personal based horror with the siblings' back story? Like holy shit it has so much potential and I'm super inspired to write my own stuff bc this game pings my curiosity serotonin to no end (also forgive the ramble im super excited :'3)

Oh don't apologize at all please! I adore this game and I love getting to talk about it always so don't worry if you ever wanna drop by my askbox just to rant about it I'm always more than happy to do so

I have gotten so many tags and asks and dms more so at the beginning telling me they tried the game because of posts I made way back when the game had just come out so the satisfaction of sharing something I like and seeing it get picked up by others is unmatched I'm so glad you decided to try it for yourself and found out you liked it through seeing it on Tumblr originally

I really love games that dramatically change depending on your decisions I don't really think that's what's gonna happen here just because nemlei doesn't seem to be into making that kinda stuff

But still if there's just decisions that all lead you to discovering new things like that then I would completely adore replying it and getting all the endings

I specially like the idea of there being the option to interrogate the parents and find out what they know I think the siblings are gonna encounter their mother again just by mistake tbh

And hey if you ever do write your own stuff and publish it make sure to let me know I would love to read it :3 tbh I wrote my own first piece of this like two days after finding the game because I was so excited for it and just couldn't deal with there being no more content this game gave me all the brainworms so hard
