What Are the Qualifications for a Data Scientist?
In today's data-driven world, the role of a data scientist has become one of the most coveted career paths. With businesses relying on data for decision-making, understanding customer behavior, and improving products, the demand for skilled professionals who can analyze, interpret, and extract value from data is at an all-time high. If you're wondering what qualifications are needed to become a successful data scientist, how DataCouncil can help you get there, and why a data science course in Pune is a great option, this blog has the answers.
The Key Qualifications for a Data Scientist
To succeed as a data scientist, a mix of technical skills, education, and hands-on experience is essential. Here are the core qualifications required:
1. Educational Background
A strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is typically expected. Most data scientists hold at least a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields, with many pursuing higher education such as a master's or a Ph.D. A data science course in Pune with DataCouncil can bridge this gap, offering the academic and practical knowledge required for a strong start in the industry.
2. Proficiency in Programming Languages
Programming is at the heart of data science. You need to be comfortable with languages like Python, R, and SQL, which are widely used for data analysis, machine learning, and database management. A comprehensive data science course in Pune will teach these programming skills from scratch, ensuring you become proficient in coding for data science tasks.
3. Understanding of Machine Learning
Data scientists must have a solid grasp of machine learning techniques and algorithms such as regression, clustering, and decision trees. By enrolling in a DataCouncil course, you'll learn how to implement machine learning models to analyze data and make predictions, an essential qualification for landing a data science job.

I dont know if anyone noticed in the manga but in ROR, Apollo was known as a "an ordinary God who had nothing".
Chapter 82
Tumblr media
Who had nothing.
You're telling me that sunshine pink lovable boy Apollo was born DOMAINLESS ??
Cause what else would a "God who had nothing" mean other than being domainless ?
From the myths we know that :
When Athena came out from Zeus's head, she declared herself the Goddess of Wisdom and War
When Artemis was born she immediately aided her mother in the birth of Apollo, she was born as Goddess of Childbirth before she became Goddess of the Hunt.
And then we have ROR Apollo who was born basically useless, which is why his hard-working makes more impact now that I think about it.
Dude went from 0 a literal nobody to an Olympian with pure hard-work, he worked for his titles and powers. Do you know how much you need to be mentally strong for that ?
Cause you can't tell me he wasn't mocked in his early days !
I mean just look at what kids do in school, the teacher calls you up, you make a mistake then you become the target of mockery for a whole week or worse you become target for bullying the whole entire year (or even years if you stay at said school).
Apollo must have faced the same thing from Gods and instead of spiraling into depression he decided to ignore them and pursue his dream of becoming someone. (Of course we don't know if he got bullied but honestly I can't see it otherwise.)
Meanwhile Myth/PJO Apollo was born a God of Archery and 3 days old killed python then 3 years later became Olympian cause his daddy is Zeus ... and that's it ?
While ROR Apollo was born to be ... well just there, he had to learn Archery from scratch to become the god of it, he had to learn medicine from the bottom to the top to become the god of it, he trained day and night and it was thought pure hard-work that he became an Olympian not because his old man was Zeus, he is an Olympian because he deserves that seat.
And this is why I love the dude !

Hi! I wanted to request a yandere Carmilla from castlevania X fem reader. Maybe the reader being from the village and Carmilla sees her one day and kidnaps her one night forcing her to become her wife. Or it can be whatever plot you want
Title = Blood Bride
Warnings = Kidnapping, stalking, forced marriage,
Pairing = Carmilla x fem! reader
Word count = 698 words
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moon was high in the sky, looking over the village. The silvery light bled through every crevice onto the streets. You had always loved the serenity and tranquility of midnight hours. It was the silence that scattered through the world. It was peaceful, gentle.
You didn’t know it was the night Carmilla first saw you, much to your luck.
She had only come to the village for some blood, for a bit of entertainment. But then she saw your humble, gorgeous, mortal self and it was like love at first sight. You were the flower blooming in the rot of man— and the disgusting creatures surrounding you called ‘men’. They didn’t compare to you. Nothing could.
She watched as you lit a candle by your window while humming a lullaby to yourself in the night. Then continuing on to water your plants, your fingers still gentle even when the thorns mercilessly scratch your soft skin, giving you scars.
Carmilla hadn’t meant to care. But she couldn’t stop watching.
There was something so enchanting about you and she didn’t know what it was… and she intends to keep it for herself.
You woke up one night to a pair of cold hands wrapped around your waist and a whisper in your ear. “Hush, darling. You’re safe now. With me.”
The world spun. There was a bag over your head. The room had the scent of blood and roses that filled your lungs, leaving no room for anything else. Everything else faded.
When you awoke, you were in a castle decorated in crimson. Ivory, silk sheets move beneath you with every movement and you notice a… silver collar around your neck.
“Wh–Where am I?” you whispered.
Carmilla smiled. She was beautiful. “In your new home, of course. I’ve decided that I don’t want to be alone anymore. You’ll make a beautiful wife, don’t you think?”
You flinched as she brushed a thumb against your lips. “I didn’t agree to anything—”
“You will.” Her voice was sweet. Threatening. “You’ll come to love me in time. Or at least learn to behave like you do.”
In a haze of fear, you didn’t say anything.
Days slowly turned into nights. You were bathed, dressed, and decorated like a doll for her own entertainment and weirdly desires.
There was also another thing: no mirrors. Carmilla said you didn’t and wouldn’t need them. “Why stare at your reflection when you have my eyes to admire you?” she would say.
She implemented that rule because she knew that you would freak out even more if you were to find out she was a vampire. Since… she doesn't really appear in mirrors.
She read to you. She fed you fruit from her own lips. She slept beside you, draped herself around you like a python, whispering things no sane person would call love.
“You were meant to be mine. You were made for me.” she murmured, dragging her nails gently down your bare arm. “Don’t you feel it, too? The pull between us?”
You did feel something. But it wasn’t love. It was fear. It was the iron weight of knowing you were no longer free. Your heart felt like it was sinking into the deepest pits of your stomach.
One day you tried to run, and you barely even got out of the premises. She quickly found you by the gates. You were cold, barefoot, mind running wild.
“I was going to surprise you today,” she said, tone eerily calm. “I had a ring made. It’s a shade of blood-red ruby, just like your lips.”
She dragged you back without raising her voice. You cried that night.
She didn’t get angry. She only held you tighter.
“You’ll understand soon,” she whispered. “This world… It's cruel. I’m just giving you a softer cage.”
The wedding was quiet. You wore white because she wanted contrast. She wore a red outfit that reminded you of war.
No priest. Only Carmilla, her oath, and a kiss that tasted like blood and eternity.
“I do,” she said.
The sentence that would bind you to her forever… even if you didn’t even say anything. Then she pressed her lips into yours.

can someone share good online resources to learn python from scratch?

Note
fwiw and i have no idea what the artists are doing with it, a lot of the libraries that researchers are currently using to develop deep learning models from scratch are all open source built upon python, i'm sure monsanto has its own proprietary models hand crafted to make life as shitty as possible in the name of profit, but for research there's a lot of available resources library and dataset wise in related fields. It's not my area per se but i've learnt enough to get by in potentially applying it to my field within science, and largely the bottleneck in research is that the servers and graphics cards you need to train your models at a reasonable pace are of a size you can usually only get from google or amazon or facebook (although some rich asshole private universities from the US can actually afford the cost of the kind of server you need. But that's a different issue wrt resource availability in research in the global south. Basically: mas plata para la universidad pública la re puta que los parió)
Yes, one great thing about software development is that for every commercially closed thing there are open source versions that do better.
The possibilities for science are enormous. Gigantic. Much of modern science is based on handling huge amounts of data no human can process at once. Specially trained models can be key to things such as complex genetics, especially simulating proteomes. They already have been used there to incredible effect, but custom models are hard to make, I think AIs that can be reconfigured to particular cases might change things in a lot of fields forever.
I am concerned, however, of the overconsumption of electronics this might lead to when everyone wants their pet ChatGPT on their PC, but this isn't a thing that started with AI, electronic waste and planned obsolescence is already wasting countless resources in chips just to feed fashion items like iphones, this is a matter of consumption and making computers be more modular and longer lasting as the tools they are. I've also read that models recently developed in China consume much, much less resources and could potentially be available in common desktop computers, things might change as quickly as in 2 years.

Morimens English Localization Notes #1
Greetings, Keepers!
This is Ace, and I am currently working on Morimens' English localization.
First and foremost—thank you. Seriously. With a tiny but passionate team of devs, our localization journey hasn't been perfectly smooth, but your patience and encouragement have meant everything to us. We're so grateful you've stuck with us while we untangle typos, tweak tone, correct rich text tags, redesign interfaces, and try to make things feel right.
Moving forward, we'll be sharing these Localization Progress updates regularly. No fluff, just honest talk about where we are, what we're improving, and how we're working to continuously make things better.
Over the past 2 months, we've:
– Fixed over 26,000 lines of in-game text:
Our focus was on unifying combat-related terminology in character PVP/PVE skill descriptions and correcting technical issues like incorrect rich text tags, which caused color formatting errors or prevented number values from displaying properly. Normally, a task of this scale would take at least 5 localizers and LQA testers to complete in this timeframe. To speed things up, I taught myself Python (with our amazing QA team's help!) and wrote scripts to identify problematic tags. Thanks to these tools, we caught around 700 tag issues this round.
Some issues are still out there on the run. Some new issues arised from the introduction of new tools. We plan to keep improving the scripts, catch every punctuation/spelling issues, and dedicate more time to playtesting.
Currently, some terms remain inconsistent across areas such as Relic descriptions, Resonance descriptions, WoD descriptions, and Enlighten descriptions. We sincerely apologize for not being able to fix all of them in one go.
Thank you for your patience as we continue working on unifying these terms and resolving the remaining tag issues in upcoming updates. Issues like number values being incorrectly displayed as 'Arg1' will be addressed first.
Combat-Related Text Progress:
This month, we reviewed:
● 1,208 Skill Name terms (for both Awakeners and enemies)
● 62 Orison and State terms
● 156 Relic Name terms (about halfway; around 100 more to go!)
Based on your feedback from the last version, we learned that many of you prefer concise, clear translations. With that in mind, we left terms untouched unless they were mistranslated, overly long, or clearly awkward. We also checked with our amazing narrative designers to ensure that lore-specific terms were translated according to their original intent.
We've also carefully reviewed every player suggestion regarding term translations in the feedback channel. Your valuable input helps us continuously adjust our localization approach to better match your preferences!
Here are some examples for this time's term changes. We will release a full list of terms like last time as google sheet soon, starting with the Attributes. Some term might have been changed in skill descriptions but remain unchanged elsewhere—we will fix them in future updates.
Tumblr media
Fixed over 100 UI issues:
These issues caused text in different languages to be cut off or improperly aligned. Fixing them often meant remaking interface layouts, rewriting text entries, and occasionally building things from scratch. I can't overstate how grateful I am to our diligent, talented UX designers! Despite tight schedules and many tasks already on their plates, they supported me every step of the way. There's still more work to be done. We'll continue tackling UI issues to ensure the multilingual experience is smooth and pleasant. Thank you, Keepers, for your patience and for reporting the problems you find!
Tumblr media
Newly Proofread Content in the 1.5 Anniversary Update:
We've implemented human-proofread English text for:
● Liz's Psyche Deepdive story: Passion to Dust
● Lore Descriptions for the 4 new Basic Skins
● The 1.5 Anni Wheel of Destiny: Annihilated Rebirth
When our next Awakener, Castor (Ultra), is released, all of his Skill, Enlightenment, and Talent descriptions will also be human-translated.
As for the 1.5 Anniversary Event Story, Glimpse Beyond Sanctum—we originally planned to proofread it too. Unfortunately, due to our limited staff, the event script was finalized only one day before the version update, leaving no time for a human to translate it.We're aiming to release a quick-fix patch during one of the upcoming maintenance updates (schedule permitting) to correct several key errors—such as a mistranslated village name (it should be Celephais, in reference to Lovecraftian lore) and a few other inaccuracies.
During the initial release, another issue caused some English banner and event description texts to display incorrectly. This issue has been fixed through a hotfix update.
Previously, when we used GPT translation for all content, any changes to the Chinese text would automatically trigger an update to the translated text. However, now that we have introduced human translation, the translated text can fall out of sync if the Chinese source is updated after the translation is considered final.
We've reviewed this problem and established a new workflow to prevent it from happening again. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!
Story Translation Plans:
This month, we received many kind words and thoughtful suggestions about narrative localization. Storytelling is a core part of Morimens' identity, and we want to treat its translation with utmost care.
Due to time constraints, some story content remains machine-translated for now. However, we're actively improving consistency by refining the terminology database these translations draw from. During our human proofreading passes, we're currently prioritizing critical fixes like:
● Correcting major mistranslations (e.g., 'Lemuria' appearing as 'Negen Entropy')
● Resolving grammar issues, typos, and misinterpreted lines
While this means some nuanced polishing may take longer, please know we're committed to systematically revisiting and enhancing all story texts over time.
When the Prologue chapter is dubbed, we'll also revise and enhance its English translation so you can re-experience it in a better form.
As our team grows, we're confident we'll one day be able to release fully human-translated versions of all new story content on day one. We also hope to collaborate with player volunteers to proofread more languages and continue raising the overall quality.
Volunteer Translators:
Now that our tools are more stable, we will be able to start welcoming player volunteers into the translation process.
To those who've already volunteered: thank you so, so much. We'll be reaching out to discuss the next steps. This process may take some time, as we are still finalizing our plans to ensure every contribution is properly implemented and recognized.
For further inquiries about localization, please reach out to Goya or post in the localization feedback channel.
Sincerely,
Ace

5. What kind of phone do they have and what does it look like?
22. How do they feel about their upbringing?
27. List five of their recent Google searches?
For Chimeras characters!
Hi!!! Thank you for the ask! (from this random oc questions). I´ll answer with Elafi, Warrick, Fidi and Tigri:
5. What kind of phone do they have and what does it look like?
Oh, this one’s hard, because I don’t know anything about phones (like models, styles, and stuff like that).
Elafi has a functional and not-too-expensive smartphone, just enough to have a few games and be able to call Warrick in an emergency. I imagine it looks exactly like it did when it came out of the box, with a transparent case and nothing inside. Maybe someone could convince him to keep a photo in there.
Warrick, like Elafi, has a functional and basic smartphone that he only uses to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and read the news. Zero decorations. One corner of the screen is cracked, but it doesn’t affect visibility, so he hasn’t bothered to fix it.
Fidi would have the most aesthetic phone ever. She probably downloaded an app to install cute themes, and all her icons are neatly arranged and organized. She even painted her phone case design herself.
Tigri would definitely have a wallpaper of some anime or video game character he likes, lots of downloaded games, and a phone case that fits his tastes. His screen protector is full of scratches too, since he sometimes accidentally damages it with his claws.
22. How do they feel about their upbringing?
Elafi: After everything that’s happened, he’s started to question the pros and cons of his upbringing. He knows his parents did the best they could, that they only wanted to protect him and meant no harm; but he’s also learned to acknowledge that he still has a lot of growing to do. Good thing he has Warrick to finish raising him!
Warrick: It’s not something I have thought much about. I guess his upbringing was fairly normal. He gets along fine with both his parents, who still live together somewhere in the country. He also always got along great with his brother, and they were a close family until Devin’s death pushed him to isolate himself completely.
Ofidia: She doesn’t feel proud of her upbringing. A part of Fidi thinks that if she had stayed with her family, life would’ve been very hard for her alone, as her family tends to have a conformist mindset that always clashed with her creative and ambitious thinking. Maybe she did learn something good from Madame Lavenza over the years...
Tigri: He had a normal childhood. He spent most of his life as his parents’ spoiled only child, until his little sister was born, and he’s always gotten along well with her. His parents instilled important values in him like respect, collaboration, service, and kindness. Tigri is a good kid.
27. List five of their recent Google searches?
Elafi: 1. Chimera children 2. How to plant tomatoes 3. Edible forest fruits and mushrooms 4. Gifts for dad 5. Chimera children origin
Warrick: 1. chimera children 2. how to raise a teenager 3. tracking apps for your kids 4. lavenza schneider 5. chimera children auction
Ofidia: 1. Fashion career. 2. Freelance jobs. 3. How to make money fast and easy. 4. Online fashion design classes. 5. Online graphic design classes.
Tigri: 1. syntaxerror invalid syntax in python 2. how to make a simple game in Unity 3. object collision tutorial 4. panic attack symptoms 5. treatment for nightmares

I wouldn't say no
꒰ა ˚₊ ✧・┈﹕Loki masterlist ꒰ ᐢ。- ༝ -。ᐢ ꒱ Navigation ﹕┈・𐑺 ‧₊˚໒꒱
Please note that this story is a repost from my old blog @lucywrites02.
Summary: Loki pays you a visit, saying that Bubbles- his cat- may be allergic to Thor. Is Loki serious or is it another excuse to hang out with you?
Word count: 0.7k
Tumblr media
“You again?”
That was the way you greeted Loki as you walked into your office- a few folders under your arm and a box of medical gloves in the other. Your white coat flew behind you with every step like a cape, making you feel like in a movie. In all those years working as a vet it had never gotten bored.
“It’s nice to see you, too.” The trickster replied with a playful smile.
“What seems to be the problem, buddy?” You leaned over the table and gently patted your little friend’s head who purred in approval. “Why did your dad bring you here this time?”
“I think he’s allergic to Thor.” Loki said.
“Ha, that’s a good one!” You giggled, but stopped when you noticed their dead serious expression. “That’s a joke, right? Tell me you’re joking.”
“Why would I?” The god put his hands in the pockets of his dark blue jeans- something they didn’t wear often. “I noticed that Bubbles acts differently every time my brother visits.”
You weren't sure if it was a prank or if Loki really thought his cat could be allergic to his brother. The first time you met the god they barged into your office right before closing because the cat he just adopted was sleeping too much and refused to leave until you explained to him how the cat's body worked in great detail. You found it sweet how much Loki cared about that little creature and how eager they were to learn more. And what better way to learn than to take your information from the professionals? The second time they visited was to give Bubbles his vaccines and make a file for him. One time Loki ran into your office while you were in the middle of examining Clair- a beautiful ball python who has been your patient since the day she hatched- just to tell you that Bubbles made a chirping noise while watching birds and if it was normal for a cat to do this.
“Different? How?” You straighten your back, giving all your attention to the trickster.
“He’s really affectionate with Thor and he always hated people”
“Let me get this clear-” you had to hold your laugh for Loki’s sake. You were a professional after all and Loki- although a friend- was still your client. “You think Bubbles is sick because he likes Thor?”
“Obviously.”
“Alright.” You sighed and put on a new pair of gloves. You pretended to examine your little friend, feeling Loki’s eyes on you. Thankfully Bubbles was a very brave patient and you never had much problems with him. He even let you touch his belly. That’s why instead of looking for the cause of the cat’s ‘unusual behaviour’ you just tickled him here and there- which he really liked.
“If you wanted to ask me out you could have just said so. Or you could always just call me.” You have my number.” You broke the silence while still giving all of your attention to Bubbles, who happily flipped on his back, demanding belly scratches.
“I’m not- that’s not-” The god of mischief stuttered, suddenly taking an interest in that one picture of your dog on the wall. You have figured out his little plan and that was just embarrassing to him.
“I wouldn’t say no.” You smiled, looking directly at Loki who was still refusing to meet your eyes.
“Pardon?” The god asked, surprised.
“If you asked me out I wouldn’t say no.” You left Loki speechless. Their heart was beating like crazy and his mind was completely empty. “You know how much I love it when you and Bubbles pay me a visit every 2 hours, but I have other patients waiting for me so….”
“Oh yes, that’s-” The god took his cat into his arms and awkwardly stood in the middle of the room, thinking about their next move. “So if I asked whether you had time for dinner tonight you wouldn’t say no?” The god of mischief asked, still unsure of your answer.
“Only if you pay.”
“I guess it’s a date then.” Loki opened the door to finally exit your office. Their heart was still beating fast and almost stopped when you said-
“I guess it is.”

Congrats on publishing your game, it's really cool! I was wondering if you created the dialogue system from scratch, or if you've used a plugin like Dialogic, Dialogue Manager, and so on :)
And if it was made from scratch - if you recommend any resources for learning to code such things!
Hihi!!! Thank you so much anon!!!! It doesn't quite feel real to me yet - making a game had always seemed like such an unobtainable dream... And what a fun question!!! Yes, I did it from scratch - I (was) very much a godot beginner, and I wanted to use this project to learn the base engine as much as I could!!! Conclusion: ... Doing it from scratch sucks. I didn't make my own plugin or nice system either (that's what I want to do on my next project maybe), I just went in raw - each event is an instantiated scene and it's dialogue is just stored in a dictionary. It's hectic and a bit spaghetti, but I'm glad I did it for learning purposes. Speaking of learning!! I have a little bit of misc programming experience (mostly python and html lol) but i had an excellent introduction to gdscript and godot from this early access course by GDquest.
If you're brand new to coding, I also recommend CS50 from Harvard Uni (free!!! online!!!). It's so so good but it is a lot, I got a friend to do it with me so that I could actually stick with it.

Flight Rising Dragon Bio Generator!
a.k.a. i tell you about my insomnia (and probably ADHD) fueled programming
Tumblr media
i wanted to show this off because i am so excited over it, and like, weirdly proud of myself (i don't make stuff very often!! this is a rare gem). but! i made this cool little tool for myself to help me create bios for my dragons in flight rising!
it's very heavily based on a template made by AbyssalRising (not sure of their whereabouts now), and uses assets by @drytil (the emblem by the name, as well as the statue to the left of the quote). i've been using that template for a long time and slowly tweaking it to my tastes. you can see the original by clicking Abyssal's name above, but for a long time I used this variant I setup:
Tumblr media
OKAY THAT'S THE BORING STUFF THOUGH BECAUSE THAT'S JUST BBCODE. the REAL shining star is THIS THING:

BEHOLD: MY GARBAGE
as previously stated i had bad insomnia and could not sleep at all so instead i learned python's tkinter library and taught myself to create a UI from scratch. two days later (i got sleep don't worry) and this is the final result!
it's still really simple, and has some bugs (oops no scrollbar on the preview, so if the bio is too big it just cuts off), but i'm actually really proud of making something, both for the "oh my gods i had fun learning something new" and "this will actually enable me to create stories for my dragons because editing the BBCode was a big thing holding me back (it's tedious)"
anyway i just wanted to yell about this into the void - i don't have the code posted anywhere but if anyone wanted it i'd be happy to share the source python or make an executable for them (i'd probably just yeet this stuff into github so that the source is visible and a release would be easy to download). but, i doubt there will be any interest in my little corner of the internet, so i'm not gonna bother unless someone explicitly asks lmao.
anyway, please enjoy a picture of my lovely test dragon: Acrid (who wasn't just a test for this, she's my testing grounds for a lot of my BBCode shenanigans).

Monstober Day 7: Naga (SanSang)
Day 7/13
Summary: Yeosang's life with San
CW: non graphic sex, large age gap (San ages very slowly and in the life span of a human, he hardly changes in appearance. He's an adult when they meet but nothing happens between them until Yeosang is also an adult.)

Yeosang was 5 when his kingdom was first attacked. He was 6 when the opposing kingdom attempted to kidnap him. At 7 they tried to strike a bargain, marry Yeosang to their son and they would allow his kingdom to live in peace. Still only 7 years old, is when Yeosang’s parents decided he wasn’t safe at home. They carted him away in the middle of the night. Taking him deep into the forest, to a partially run down castle. His parents took turns hugging him and saying their goodbyes, before leaving him in the care of the castle's owner; a naga named San.
Tumblr media
He stood at his resting height of 5’9”, his tail coiled to make him appear less frightening to the child, but if he were to stretch it out completely, he was close to 19ft long in total.
San’s tail had the same golden markings of a royal python. The scales of his tail blended with the skin of his stomach, creating a smooth transition from man to serpent. However, San still had some patches of golden scales that dotted his wide shoulders and curled around his neck.
“Woah… he’s so big!!” Yeosang had excitedly whispered to his mother. San smiled, making himself even smaller as he addressed the boy.
“You must be Yeosang.. my name is San and I’ll be looking after you for a while.”
Tumblr media
At 10, Yeosang’s parents visited him for the first time since leaving him in the care of San. They didn’t bring good news, like Yeosang had hoped. Instead, they told him that he needed to remain hidden for a while longer. That night was the first of many that Yeosang slept within the safe coils of San’s tail after crying himself to the point of exhaustion.
At 12, Yeosang’s parents stopped sending letters.
At 16, Yeosang snuck out of the castle he had learned to call home. He explored the forest that kept him hidden from the world. He climbed trees, ran through piles of leaves, and picked flowers, not paying attention to what direction he went… or how far he had strayed.
When Yeosang had decided to head back, he found himself entirely lost. The forest had darkened, making it nearly impossible to even see his own and in front of his face. Yeosang called for San, the echo of his voice being the only answer he received. He staggered blindly through the woods, arms outstretched in front of him, as he called out for the naga. The sound of him stepping on twigs and tripping over small rocks must have alerted the predators that stalk the woods at night. Growling surrounds him and Yeosang freezes, backing into what he hopes is a tree.
The growling grows closer and Yeosang closes his eyes, cursing himself for not being more careful. San had always warned of the dangers of the forest at night… why didn’t he pay more attention to where the sun was, why did he even sneak out to begin with? San had never prevented him from exploring, only asking that he be home by nightfall. And now, because of his stupidity, Yeosang was going to die.
He waited for death, but it never came. Instead, yelps of pain replaced the growling. Before he knew it, the forest had gone quiet again and Yeosang was lifted into the strong arms of San.
“I told you never to stay out past sunset.” San reprimanded Yeosang as he carried the boy back home.
“I know…” Yeosang replied quietly. “I’m sorry.”
The rest of the way back was quiet. When they were safe inside, San sat Yeosang down. The teen turned to apologize again before going to bed, but stopped in his tracks as he noticed the wounds that littered San’s torso. Bite marks, scratches, and forming bruises dotted the skin and Yeosang hissed in a breath.
“You’re hurt…” He said dumbly.
“It’s fine.” San replied, moving to wet a cloth to clean the bite marks with. Yeosang took the damp cloth from San, ignoring the protests from the naga.
“You got hurt because of me… let me help.” Yeosang didn’t wait for an answer before starting to dab at the dried blood around one of the deeper bite marks. They sat in silence while Yeosang cleaned San’s wounds, only the occasional grunt of hiss from San when Yeosang brushed over a sensitive spot.
That was the first time Yeosang realized how lucky he was to have San, and the first time that his heart skipped a beat just by being near the naga.
Tumblr media
Yeosang is 20 when he confesses his feelings to San and is turned down. San calmly, almost remorsefully, explains to Yeosang that it wouldn’t work between the two of them. Yeosang, despite having lived in seclusion away from his kingdom, was still a prince. And he would be expected to return to that world someday while San would stay in the forest, living in his run down castle.
Tumblr media
Yeosang is 23 when San kisses him for the first time. They had been talking late into the night, Yeosang wrapped comfortably within Sam’s tail. Whatever they were talking about was nonsense chatter, random stories or memories that either of them had in the moment. That particular night, Yeosang was teasing San about the first time he tried to cook something for him, back when he was still only 7 years old, when San had leaned in and pressed a kiss against his lips.
“I’m sorry… but I can’t keep lying to myself.” San had confessed. “Every time I look at you, every day that you remain here with me, my heart aches for you. I know what I said before.. when you confessed to liking me, I only said it to protect myself from the pain of one day losing you… but as the day went on, the pain of not having you grew to be too much to bear.”
Yeosang threw his arms around San’s neck, kissing him deeply. “I am glad to know you feel the same,” Yeosang beamed at San, who circled his arms around the prince’s waist and pulled him in for another kiss.
Tumblr media
A few months later, on Yeosang’s 24th birthday, he loses his virginity to San.
San had taken him to a clearing in the forest where he had set up a picnic. They lazed on the blanket, feeding each other finger foods and gazing at the clouds. Yeosang kissed San first, moving to straddle him. As the kiss grew more intense, Yeosang had unknowingly grinded his hips down on San. And while San hadn’t exactly felt it, his cocks being concealed within his body, the soft moans escaping Yeosang were enough to arouse San.
The naga rolled them, placing Yeosang on his back. He took his time unraveling Yeosang with his mouth and hands, kissing, nipping, and caressing all over his body until the prince was trembling beneath him. Only then did San thrust into him with one cock, the other sliding against Yeosang’s.
They made love under the stars long into the night, worshiping each other's bodies to their heart's content.
Tumblr media
At 27, the day they both feared came to light. Yeosang’s parents had come to bring him home. They arrived early in the afternoon, full of smiles and warm greetings. Yeosang greeted them as strangers, which is all they were to him by that point. He hadn’t spoken to or seen them in years, and now that he was happy and finally content with his life, they show up.
Yeosang refused to leave, much to his parents' dismay. There was a long argument between Yeosang and his father, but eventually, his parents relent. They leave not long after, without their son.
Tumblr media
Years later, Yeosang now with gray hairs and wrinkling skin, sits in the garden of his and San’s home. He runs a hand through San’s hair, still as dark as the day they met, and smiles as he thinks back on all the years they spent together.
