[I got first place!]
Small wins today 😊 talking to my sibling a little no context just doing it. Coming out of my comfort zone just a little?
The funnier part is i also have my phone on me which has the better voices in general, but... idk. Something about having a dedicated device, even if it kind of sucks, is nice :)

ONYX STORM REVIEW:
After 2 days of catching up on all the work I had postponed for the sake of reading OS, and organising my thoughts, I'm here with my spoiler free review of Onyx Storm. Please remember that these are my personal thoughts and opinions and you're free to agree or disagree based on your views
Rating: 3.25 stars
The Good:
The absolute lack of miscommunication between Xaden and Violet: This book is a gift for all those people who were annoyed to their wit's end by the repetitive stupid fights between Xaden and Violet in Iron Flame. They trust each other, communicate with each other and don't get mad about secrets. I was so pleasantly surprised
Ridoc: Ridoc went through such amazing character development, he easily became one of my favourite characters in the story. We saw him as only the comic relief friend till now but man, he shows such badassery in this book while still being his clown self. And, let's not forget his favourite dick jokes!
The Dragons: Anyone who knows me knows my favourite part about the series is Tairn and the other dragons. Love seeing my grumpy dad dragon, he's such a mood. We also have our sassy teenager Andarna to give him grief. I love all the moments Tairn started boasting about his lineage and his feat: he's such a dork!
Dain and Cat: I never truly hated Dain because I knew from Fourth Wing itself he never intentionally wanted to harm Violet. My only gripe with him was about breaking her trust and looking through her memories without her consent. But man, does he redeem himself. Needless to say, Dain is on my "need to protect" list. I really hated Cat in Iron Flame because she was such a stereotypical cringey evil ex and the way she attacked Violet was so crass and below the belt. She still has some shitty moments in the beginning of the book but she gets a lot better so much so that I want good things to happen to her in the next books. RY did a great job writing these two
Jealous Xaden: My o my was it a treat to see Xaden so jealous. RY fed us with those entertaining af moments. Read the book and you'll find out what I mean
Aaric: I was intrigued by Aaric in book 2 but he stepped up the game so much in this book. He is an amazing character and I'll throw hands if RY even tries to harm him in any way, istg.
The Bad:
Very mediocre worldbuilding: This might be just a timing issue, but the last fantasy book I read was the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, and every fantasy fan knows the kind of world-building Sanderson does. Onyx Storm tries to introduce us to new places beside the continent, but it is not well done. We spend half the book in the Isle Kingdoms, yet they're not even mentioned on the map. They talk about routes to get to the kingdoms, but how am I supposed to follow them if you won't even mention them on the maps? Every Island has a god it worships and things go according to that but I think we could've had a little more information about them beforehand instead of being presented basic info right before we arrive at the next island. "We're going to said island, this is the god they believe in, here's a five point bullet lost of their customs"- NO, THAT'S NOT HOW YOU DO IT! Like I said, it might be because my last book was by Sanderson so my expectations were higher but the world felt so lacking.
Lack of Glossary: A glossary should be a must in every fantasy book, especially if you're branching out and diving deeper into worldbuilding. We are introduced to gods, islands, uprisings and groups of people we haven't even heard of before and we get hardly one or two lines about them in a chapter and then they are mentioned again 2 chapters later and we're supposed to follow. There were so many new names in OS, it was difficult to keep track of them after a while. I still don't completely understand who the Krovlan people were and what was their deal.
Lack of Basgiath: My favourite book in the series till now has been Fourth Wing and one of the biggest reasons for that was Basgiath. I loved that place and the way it felt an actual character in the story. That Basgiath charm is missing in this book. Basgiath is the biggest strength of this series, it's the reason why FW was so successful, the war college and it's deadly atmosphere, the challenges, the interpersonal relations, it was entertaining af. However as the series is progressing, it's turning into another typical romantasy involving young adults leading revolutions, making alliances, fighting wars etc. I started reading Fourth Wing because of it's setting and yet with each new book, we spend less and less time in Basgiath and it's just dampening my mood.
No real surprises: Let me be brutally honest- this book felt like a filler. Of course there are a few shocking moments with new information but it hardly hit the mark like the previous two books. There were no moments that essentially packed a punch. It's just a bunch of random sidequests to gain alliances which didn't up feeling all that meaningful because of worldbuilding problems. It also seemed like fanservice because of a lot of reasons but I won't mention them as they can be accounted as minor spoilers. Some characters died but it didn't feel impactful at all. It seemed more like Ry was just filling up the death quota because we can't have a book where no one dies
Violet and Xaden: Okay so here's the thing, I like both of them as characters and I think they make a good pair. However, I didn't ever truly feel the romance and this has been a problem since Fourth Wing. They have a shit ton of lusty moments but hardly any soft romantic domestic moments that make the relationship feel organic. I have always been disappointed by the lack of proper romantic development between these two. The problem in this book however is the dialogue- they felt so cheesy and downright cringe at times. Maybe show more and say less?? The way they keep saying nothing else matters as much and I know people are feral for how Xaden and Violet are ready to throw off the entire rebellion for each other but it irks me so much. Xaden, you are leading these people and you have accepted that responsibility. Stop endangering the lives of people you swore to protect because Violet might be in danger. She has other people to support her. Violet, don't get mad when people tell you your needs and wants will come second to Xaden's duty towards the people. He is their leader, he has to make those sacrifices, If you think that's unfair then find someone else to fill his position. You can't have the leadership position yet be each other's top priority. It might seem unfair but that is the right thing to do. I really don't feel like the two of them are fit to lead people. Agree with @thequietesthing's review about Violet's god level power feeling over dramatic and out of character at times.
The Ending: If any of you have talked to me about the book in the last few days, you'll know I'm frustrated af with the ending. It doesn't exactly feel like a well done cliffhanger, it's just plain messy. A bunch of unanswered questions to keep the reader confused and hooked for the next book but it just ruined the whole book for me. I have no issues with cliffhangers but the book should feel complete. The way Onyx Storm ended, it feels there were at least two more chapters that got deleted. It's just all over the place.
That was the review guys. I'll still wait for the next book to get published but my excitement has gone down quite a lot. I was expecting more of a Harry Potter style story where the main still occurs in the school/college itself but it seems like that isn't gonna be the case. I honestly believe this series should've been just 3 books instead of 5 but oh well, what can we say. Really agree with @justallihere and @justascrollingghost. We have almost the same complaints with the books lol P.S: The best surprise in this book: Broccoli, the kitten

Is PF2e a suitable dungeon-crawl system? Or would you recommend sticking to D&D? Iirc you rec specifically D&D before 5e (I don’t play D&D so the acronyms have been a struggle to keep straight). Better yet, for someone running their first dungeon crawl, what would you recommend? My players really like PF2e, hence my first question, but they also like exploring different systems, so I have two oysters. Maybe even several.
Okay so this is a really multifaceted question so I will try my best to answer it! :)
Pathfinder, to me, represents the same design and gameplay structure I like to broadly call "modern D&D" or "WotC D&D," which other people also call "neotrad." Basically, editions of D&D since the acquisition of the license by WotC have changed the game structurally to such an extent that while the games have not become exactly antithetical to dungeon crawls they have become somewhat harder for running a straight old-school dungeon crawl. For example, modern D&D is not very well suited to random encounters as a means of straining character resources owing to the fact that encounters can often take a lot of time to resolve.
Now, having said that, there is a place for dungeons in Pathfinder and other games in the modern D&D lineage: while the slow and methodical dungeon crawl is not fully supported by modern D&D, there is a place for what can be called a dungeon dive. This difference was articulated really well imo by @100-manslayer in this response to a post of mine:
The point being that you can absolutely have dungeons in a Pathfinder 2e and I in fact think Pathfinder 2e can be the perfect system for a dungeon dive: the sort of systemic design that Pathfinder represents means that a dungeon environment can act as a perfect microcosm of allowing players to use pretty much all the tools at their characters' disposal. It will be less like a slow, methodical crawl, but more like a romp in a cool puzzle dungeon. That I feel is where modern D&D and its kin shines.
A dungeon dive will basically end up looking structurally like a dungeon crawl, but specifically with "encounters" of various types already prepped in. I know Pathfinder 2e is very generous with encounter prep tools for GMs, so the best way to think of a modern D&D dungeon is as a way to structure content while giving players freedom in how they go about tackling it.
Now, if you want to go for an older edition and a proper old-school dungeon crawl my personal game of choice is B/X D&D, the B/X being a common abbreviation for "Basic/Expert." The game was released in a red box which includes both a Basic game and an Expert game, which together formed an extremely nice and coherent game, which happens to be my favorite edition of the game. It is a very straightforward dungeon game. Now, it is available digitally, but there is also a modern retroclone of it called Old-School Essentials, which basically takes the rules and mechanics of B/X, clarifies them, presents them with nicer layout, and makes them consistent (as there were some inconsistencies across the two sets). OSE is a fantastic game and it is also easy to expand upon, as it has a very active community producing content for it.
There is also Basic Fantasy Roleplaying which is an entirely free open source D&D clone. It is also a fantastic product, owing a lot to B/X in terms of its rules but having some modern touches.
But yeah, there is nothing about Pathfinder 2e that is entirely antithetical to dungeoning, but it is going to look like a slightly different type of dungeon!

Fourth Wing Theories; ONYX STORM SPOILERS but they just get a little more insane every time
1.) I think the dragons are purposfully killing their riders when they die.
I have no concrete evidence to back thie up, thid is fully speculation until the series is finished. My only reasoning is that Tairn allows Violet to have knowledge about dragons that seems like it woukd be important. He explain feathertails to her, he gave her his entire lineage (Or, most of it), he tells her things that most other humans don't know about. Do we really think the other dragons don't do this? I think the dragons are killing their riders with them as a failsafe and telling them its because of their "unbreakable bond". If the Naolin is venin and the dragons are secretly evil theories are true, this checks out. Also Jack killed his own dragon and didn't die? How?? Maybe its cause he's venin. Maybe that really shouldn't matter.
2.) Naolin is Venin
This is pretty obvious and i'm tapping this theory on the shoulders with my ssord and calling it true.
"We don't speak about the one who came before" - Tairn, about Naolin
"The dark one" - About Xaden
"It cost him everything" Brennan, about Naolin. Why didn't he just say it cost him his life?
3.) Violet is inntinnsic (idfk how you spell it, and not simply dreamwalking) and has been the WHOLE DAMN TIME
Everyone thinks all the times in fourth wing and iron flame where Violet says something as a thought and Xaden replies its HIS second signet. Thats now how his signet works. He reads intentions, not thoughts.
And as we know inntinnsics come in different forms, not just reads minds. I think Violet is the type of inntinnsic that can project her thoughts. She projects herself into others dreams. She's a projector. That sounds dumb as hell idfk.
But yes. She's like the opposite of a regular inntinnsic, instead of taking things out of others' minds, she just puts herself in there.
As for why she needs it? Consistently throughout these books she has needed information time and time again. She needs Xaden to be honest with her. She needs to know that her family is okay. She needs to know how the fuck brennan is alive. She needs to know how to activate and or create wardstones. She needs to know all these things and there's never a time where she genuinley knows everything.
4.) Lillith Sorrengail is or was venin
I fear this is the most obvious of them all. I hate it.
Anyway I think Lilith channelled from the earth when she was pregnant with Violet. Do I know why she did it? No. Maybe she was fighting during the Tyrrish Rebbellions. Thats the only thing I can think of.
So here's ny evidence:
- Violet herself. She is weak. Frail. Grey hair like a few other venin. When her mother channelled with her in the womb, she accidentally channeled from HER. Most obvious point but it explains her disabilities. I realize after finishing OS that her hair is grey bc of what her dad did dont mind that
- Things she's said.
“When you have children, we can discuss the risks you'll take, the lies you'll be willing to tell in order to keep them safe." She took a risk channeling with Violet in the womb.
"Most generals dream of dying in service to their kingdom. But you know me better than that, my love. When I fall it will be for one reason only: to protect our children."
- Her 'sickness' while she was pregnant with Violet BOOK ONE CHAPTER ONE PAGE THREE MOTHERFUCKER
"Her gaze siphons every ounce of my confidence down to the marrow in my bones. "It's like that fever stole all your coloring along with your strength." Grief flashes through her eyes and her brows furrow. "I told him not to keep you in that library."
Its not the first time I've heard her curse the sickness that nearly killed her while she was pregnant with me or thr librzry Dad maxd my second hime once she'd been stationed here as Basgisth as an intructor and he as a scribe."
Fourth Wing, Chapter One page 3
Obviously she feels guilty about what happened- why would she feel guilty? She did it on purpose. Her sickness was a cover up so that the red from her eyes could dissapear and nobody saw her, and her dads research was focused on killing venin.
5.) The dragons are hiding so much mors than we think (there is so much that goes into this theory)
First lets break it down.
Black dragons- the most cunning. The Dubhmadinn line. Dubh - black, madinn - morning. .... black morning. Contradictive dont we think. In the beggining of time, there would have been no light.
Blue dragons- the most ruthless and oftej large. The Gormfaileas line. Gorm- blue, Faileas - shadow or reflection. What can we connect that to (im saying this sarcastically) We have a blue reflection or a blue shadow.
Green dragons - known for their intellect and generally rational. Uainellidsig/Cruaidhuaine line. Uaine = Green, ellid i could only find welsh roots in which it meant "wrath" or "rage" very unfitting, I'll circle back to this later. Cruaid = "hard" "harsh" "strong" or "cruel" again, unfitting. The uaine again means green. So we have cruel green and green wrath.
Orange Dragons - The most unpredictable. Fhaicorian line. Fhaic (faic) = to see. Orion is difficult- we have the mythical greek figure, the hunter. The greek word “ὄριον” (órion), which means "boundry" or "limit". In hebrew it means "light" or "flame"
Red and Brown dragons have unknown origin at this moment, we don't know what lines they descend from likely because it woulr be too big of a spoiler.
I would like to circle back to the oddity that is "blue shadow". Now i'm no Star Wars fan, but Rebbeca Yarros is. She confirmed it during an interview. Blue Shadow is a virus in starwars that's waterborne. It makes people have extemely pale skin with blue veins. Just gonna leave that there.
So from what we see every single dragons name / breed is contradicting. All of em. Crazy huh.
Next point,
I think the dragons are connected with the gods. Like they're their children. 6 gods (Amari, Dunne, Malek, Zihnal, Hedeon, Loial) 6 currently known dragons (Green, red, blue, brown, black, orange). Black dragons are clearly connected to Malek. We all know all about Malek so im not explaining it here.
Amari = Queen of the Gods. Cherubs are often carved at her feet in her statues.
Dunne = Goddess of strength and war. Has a river named after her.
Zihnal = God of Luck
Loial - Goddess of Love
Hedeon = God of Wisdom
"Dedicating oneself to temple work isn't just a noble pursuit. Becoming high priest or priestess is the closest most of us will get to touching the power of the gods. The rest are riders." —Major Rorilee's Guide to Appeasing the Gods, Second Edition
The dragons have been consistently hinted at as being close to gods. THEY'RE THEIR CHILDREN. Or at least the first dragons were. And I dont mean the first to bond, I mean the first dragons.
Rebbecca has also told us that the dragons are lying about their names. I present; what I just did with every fucking name we have
Tairneanach - Tair = Tairg = Offer or gift
Anach = commin suffix in gaelic, often a descriptor
Andarna - we all know it means second honor, she's Violets second dragon I personally don't think it means anymore than that.
Okay so I realize now those are essentially the only dragon names we know, but I would like to point out that Professor Carr's (signet trainer) dragons name is Breugan which means little lies. Carr says that knowledge is power to Violet.

Second Best - Part 1
Nikolai Lantsov x reader
Masterlist --- Part 2
A/N: Look, am I starting a new series when I haven't finished nly? Yes, I am. And I would proudly do it again because this story has been in my drafts for so long and I want yall to see it. Hope it's coherent enough :) also, I gave the mc reader a last name :)
Synopsis: When you were a child, the Lantsov king and queen arranged for their second son to marry you, a rich Ravkan noble family's only daughter. After many years, after all the destruction of the war, and after Nikolai was crowned king, Nikolai breaks off the engagement. But the complications of your past and your strict parents make it a nightmare to find a new fiance, so Nikolai promises to help you, yet he slowly realizes the mistake he's made.
Warnings: strict and mean parents, very slight self-image issues because of said parents, kinda confusing and purposefully ambiguous details that will be important later in the story (bear with me please)
Word Count: 1700
..........
It was going to be a very important day, your mother had said. She sat in the corner of the room as a gaggle of maids did you up. Everything needed to be perfect for your meeting with the new king of Ravka. After all, he was your fiance, but there were rumours that he did not wish to marry you.
The engagement was made when you were both children and he was only supposed to be a prince, but now circumstances had changed and he was king of a fractured nation. He would need to marry for the good of Ravka, so a political match would be much more beneficial. You wouldn't blame him if he chose to marry a foreign princess or noblewoman, but your parents insisted that you would be the future queen of Ravka.
"Stop fidgeting," your mother commanded. You straightened out, averting your stare as you mumbled an apology.
It was cold outside the front door of your parents' home in Os Alta. Goosebumps had broken out on your skin and you struggled to not rub some warmth into them. All you could do was wait for the king to arrive. He was more than ten minutes late, but your father had insisted that you all remain standing at the entrance until Nikolai arrived.
As you heard carriage wheels in the street you swore you could leap with joy that you would soon be allowed inside again, but you stayed perfectly poised. The royal carriage swung around the corner and you felt your heartbeat pick up, kicking into double-time. You pitied any nearby heartrenders, for the thumping must have been utterly annoying; but you came about it honestly.
There was always a fear in the back of your mind that you would be found out. Someone would discover your family secret and you would be exiled from respectable society before you could marry your Lantsov fiance. But you couldn't worry about that now, not when the carriage had stopped and the king was getting out.
If you had been worried about the cold earlier, it was now the farthest thing from your mind. King Nikolai's stare was enough to make your face heat up, and you thought you might burst into flames without a moment's notice as you curtsied to him. He still looked a little like the boy in your faded memory of him, the boy that you met when you were twelve and he was fourteen. He had a boyish countenance, a light-hearted look to him as he stepped out of his carriage.
You were prepared for a bit more resemblance to his older brother, but he was comparatively more handsome than Vasily ever was. His smile was charming and warm, not greasy or snide as his brother's had been; he had a stronger chin than his brother, and really just a better bone structure in general. But perhaps the lack of similarity between him and his brother gave credence to the rumours of his lineage. You often wondered if people thought that way about the differences between you and your parents.
Whatever the case, you were too conscious of the way he didn't offer you his arm as the four of you entered the house to care about any of that. In Ravka it was common for engaged couples to do that sort of thing, even when they were practically strangers, so it seemed the whispers of his detachment from you had some truth.
You settled in the drawing room where tea was presented to the four of you. Mere minutes of small talk passed before your father broached the topic of the engagement. He set down his cup and saucer, leaning back in his seat as he stared at the king. Nikolai had just told an anecdote about the tiring details from his coronation several months ago and your father was ready to pounce.
"I suppose the wedding will be as much of a headache to plan, but this time you'll have my daughter to shoulder some of the weight," he said, a cheerful air to his voice despite the trap he just laid.
"Lord Antonov," Nikolai smiled politely, "I don't suppose you've heard any news from my father or mother."
Your father shook his head, a confused twitch in his brow.
"They were the ones to arrange this marriage, but, as it is, they are not around to see it through. They approved the match back when I was a boy and my father was still king." Here it was. The rumours were about to be verified. Nikolai kept on, "Things have changed since then; I am no longer a boy, and my father is no longer king, so you will forgive me if I would like to drop the agreement that my parents made you many years ago."
"Promises and plans were made, your highness, and they cannot be easily undone--"
"And yet they must be undone." Nikolai levelled your father with a heavy stare. "Ravka needs strong diplomatic ties, and I believe that one of the best options to achieve this is through marriage. I cannot sacrifice the good of this country for an old arrangement made by a party that is no longer in power."
"But what will my daughter do?" Your mother piped up. "She'll have to find a new suitor, but who would want her now that she gets older?"
As much as you would have liked to say that her words did not affect you, you couldn't deny their sting. To your parents, all that their daughter–their only child–had ever been was a bartering chip for well-born men to marry and continue their noble lines, and it showed in your mother's primary concern. If you weren't young, you weren't beautiful, and if you weren't beautiful, who would dare marry you?
Nikolai nearly laughed. "She is twenty, that is not old. And if you're so concerned that she needs to be married, I will see to it that she finds someone suitable. I know enough barons and marquises who would be glad to marry her."
"For centuries we Antonovs have dedicated our lives--our entire estate--to this country and the Lantsovs, and this is how we are to be repaid?" Your father narrowed his stare. "Have you no honour? That you would go back on your word--some king you are."
If your mother's superficial worries weren't enough to make Nikolai rethink the marriage, insults from your father definitely wouldn't change his mind.
"Father," you gasped as a sorry attempt at admonishment. When you felt eyes on you, you couldn't help but speak, even if your parents wouldn't like what you were going to say. "You should consider the importance of his highness' role in Ravka. If our country needs a political marriage to strengthen diplomatic ties, then perhaps it is for the best that we sever the arrangement you made with the former king."
"My daughter doesn't know what she's saying, your highness," your mother tried to backtrack, but you weren't having it. You'd be in deep shit with them for that first comment, and you figured you should continue since they were already angry.
"If you two are as patriotic as you often say then you would understand that the good of your country comes first. If the king asks you to forgo an old agreement, you should forgo it."
"There you have it," Nikolai said. "The two most important voices in this conversation have spoken." He stood and looked at you. "I must be going now, but perhaps could you walk me out, my lady?"
You stood and set aside your tea, eager to be out of the room. In the hall, you caught Nikolai staring at you. He smiled, looking forward.
"You handled that well," he said.
"I should hope so." You glanced at him. "Like you, I was educated at Ketterdam University where most of my classmates were hog-headed boys who went on and on about the most insignificant topics. I found the best way to assert my voice in the classroom was through a light shaming of those who couldn't figure out when to shut up."
"Very effective," Nikolai remarked, his eyes alight. "What did you study at school?"
"Economics for the most part, but there was also advanced physics as well as debate classes."
"You must have made quite the student." There was approval in his voice.
You held back a proud grin. Men are frightened by smart women, your mother often said. She maintained that you must hold back your brains until after you had a ring on your finger, but because you weren't marrying him, you didn't see the need to hide your intellect. You straightened out and replied, "I was always top of my class."
When you reached the front door Nikolai fastened his jacket and turned to you with a conciliatory smile. "I hope I haven't bent your parents too out of shape."
"They'll get over themselves." But you weren't too certain of your words. You amended, "They'll have to."
"I meant what I told your mother," he said. "I can help you find a fiance. Though I'm sure you wouldn't have difficulty finding one on your own."
You chuckled. "Yes, undoubtedly my mother is already scheming to entrap the next richest bachelor in Ravka into a marriage."
"That's not what I meant." At your quizzical brow, he smiled and fixed the cuffs of his coat. "I only meant to say that you're highly intelligent and quite beautiful. Anyone would be lucky to marry you."
You dared to look away from his hazel eyes, tracing the gold frame of a portrait as you quickly dispelled the heat from your face. When you looked back he was trying to hide a smug smile that told you he knew exactly what game he was playing at.
"You've scrapped our engagement, and yet now you're flirting with me," you observed with a tsk. "Are you always this contradictory?"
"When the mood strikes me," he said. "Now, it has been a pleasure but I must be getting back to the palace."
You parted ways with a handshake, Nikolai returning home and leaving you to face two very upset nobles.
..........

No había predicho tal resultado.
Yui: (¿Sócrates-san…?)
Yui: ¡Ah, espera!
Lugar: Habitación cerrada • Luz interior
Yui: Nn…
Yui: (¿E-eh…? ¿En dónde estoy…?)
Reiji: Oh, veo que también has despertado.
Yui: ¡Reiji-san! ¡Estás bien!
Tumblr media
Reiji: Sin embargo… hemos salido a salvo.
Yui: Ah…

Reiji: Sí, no te preocupes. Ya… todo está bien.
Yui: (Reiji-san me está abrazando con firmeza. Sus brazos son reconfortantes…)
Yui: (¡Al fin escapamos de esa dimensión cerrada…!)
Laito: Ah~ menudo show nos están mostrando.
Yui: ¡¿Eh?!
Tumblr media
Yui: ¡¿C-Chicos?!
Shu: No solo estamos nosotros. Miren alrededor.
Yui: ¿Eh…?
Yui: (¡Los Mukami! Y también están Carla-san y Shin-kun… ¡Incluso Kino-kun!)
Tumblr media
Subaru: Los demás siguen durmiendo. Aunque eventualmente despertarán.
Yui: Ya veo…
Yui: ¿Eh…?
Tumblr media
Reiji: ¡Padre…!
Yui: ¡¿Karl Heinz-san?!
Karl Heinz: Hace tiempo que no te veía, Eva. Y tampoco a ustedes, hijos míos.
Reiji: Por favor guarden silencio. Están siendo maleducados.
Subaru: Tsk…
Arrodíllate frente a mí.
Yui: Reiji-san…
Reiji: Vuestras palabras me halagan. Sin embargo—
Reiji: No puedo aceptarlo.
Yui: ¡¿Eh?!
Yui: No sé… si podré guiarlo.
Reiji: Sin importar quien me juzgue, no podrán negar mis habilidades.
Junto a mi amado—“
Lugar: Habitación de Reiji • Noche
Yui: ¡¿Kyaa?!
Yui: (Ay… no…
Yui: ¡¿Kyaa?!
Tumblr media
Yui: ¿Reiji-san?
Reiji: ¿Y?
Yui: N-no volveré a hacerlo…
Reiji: ¿Y?
Yui: (Uuh…  Si no lo digo no va a perdonarme.)
Yui: P-por favor castígame…
Reiji: …Fufufu…
Más importante, ¿has reflexionado?
Yui: ¡P-por supuesto!
Tumblr media
Reiji: Entonces… ofréceme tu sangre para compensar tu error. Nn…
Yui: ¡Kya!
Yui: (Solo me besó, pero ahora tengo calor…)
Reiji: Eres insoportable… te estoy castigando y te alegras.
Yui: N-no estoy feliz…
Yui: …
Reiji: ¿Qué sucede?
Yui: No… Creo que sí estoy feliz…
Yui: Porque puedo estar a tu lado sin ninguna preocupación…
Tumblr media
Reiji: Otra vez diciendo algo tan encantador. En tal caso no me contendré. Nn… Aah…
Yui: Aah… Nn…
Incluso tu voz temblorosa me encanta.
Yui: T-tampoco eras tan precavido…
Aah… Nn…
Yui: ¿Eh? ¡¿Más fuerte?! ¡Espera…! ¡Ah… Nn…!
Reiji: No esperaré.
Pero he comprobado algo.
~Fin~

im so tired of this shit
i am trying to install lineage os on my new phone. it's a google pixel, pretty well covered in that area. so shouldn't be too hard.
unfortunately, the current lineage version requires the phone to have android 14 prior to installation. i find out that mine has android 12, despite the fact that 14 was released a year ago. well. tried to update the system the usual way. "no system updates available". looked up how to install it with the help of my computer. tried that, and i am absolutely sure i didn't make any mistakes, but after pairing with my phone, the laptop wasn't able to properly connect to it to install the update
tried to go through all of the faq tips and it turns out, if i turn off the wifi it can find the update (to android 15, even! which isn't what i need, but well. doesn't really speak for the quality of whatever is going on here). i didn't want to download all that stuff via mobile data. so now here i am fighting my phone so it gets a system that i only need as a step in between
why does this shit have to be so difficult this is getting ridiculous here

🇬🇧
The Ordovician-Silurian mass extinction primarily affected marine life, resulting in a significant decline in various marine species. During the Ordovician, land was sparsely populated by simple, non-vascular plants such as liverworts and moss-like forms. These early terrestrial plants were not likely significant contributors to the extinction event, as their ecological impact was limited compared to the marine realm.
The extinction event itself is thought to have been driven by various factors, including glaciation, sea level changes, oceanic anoxia, and possibly volcanic activity. These factors primarily influenced marine environments, leading to the decline of marine species such as trilobites, brachiopods, and graptolites. The emergence and evolution of early land plants during this time were part of broader changes in Earth's ecosystems. As land plants continued to evolve and diversify in the subsequent periods, they would eventually contribute significantly to shaping terrestrial environments and ecosystems.
Silurian key-plants
The presence of Cooksonia in the fossil record signifies the adaptation of plants to terrestrial environments and their gradual divergence into various lineages that would eventually give rise to modern plant diversity. It represents one of the earliest vascular plants, marking a crucial step in the colonization of land by plants. Named after the paleobotanist Isabel Cookson, these plants were relatively small, reaching heights of only a few centimeters. Key features of Cooksonia include dichotomously branching stems with sporangia (reproductive structures) at their tips. It lacked leaves, roots, and a vascular system for efficient water transport. Instead, it relied on simple diffusion for nutrient uptake. Cooksonia is considered a transitional form between non-vascular plants like mosses and more advanced vascular plants.
Prototaxites is an extinct genus of large, tree-like organisms that initially thought to be a type of tree or fungus, but recent studies suggest that Prototaxites might have been a massive fungus-like organism. These structures could reach impressive heights, with some specimens exceeding eight meters. Prototaxites had a simple structure, consisting of a trunk-like body composed of tightly packed, vertically oriented tubes. The function of these structures is not entirely clear, but they are believed to have played a role in nutrient transport. The debate about whether Prototaxites was a giant fungus or a unique type of ancient plant continues among scientists. Regardless, it represents an intriguing chapter in the history of terrestrial life, providing insights into the diversity and ecological dynamics of ancient ecosystems during a time when complex land-dwelling organisms were still in their early stages of evolution.
🇧🇷
Plantas-chave do Siluriano

Uhhh here’s how naming conventions work in sculpted lands!
Vitran, Nordofan, Ambraian, and Vitusian just have kinda fucked up European names like Hanithan and Yostinian.
Osica works like this: Your Family has a Lineage name. For example, the royal family has the lineage name of “Os” and when you are born, you are given a personal name attached to it, usually based on what the parents want for you in the future.
Pyramis’ naming conventions work similary, except you are given a sort of nickname and your personal name is only to be used by a lover, family, or very very close friend. Only the Empress can bypass this and always refers to her subjects by their personal names. The “Public” name is made up by the person, while the personal name is, like Osica, rooted in what the parents want for the child in the future.
Yigdea is the strangest of them all, because the children aren’t given legitimate names until they pass The Guardian’s Trial and their offering is accepted by the Oceanbed Demon. Their childhood names are the word for bloom “Yig” plus a color. They start their trial at 16 usually, and it’s done alongside a group of other children. They all have to hunt and retrieve a Dwell, and are then given their markings after offering it to the Oceanbed Demon. (Also their marking day is also somewhat similar to Mother’s/Father’s day)

Hey, I've been wanting to run a dungeon crawly west marches style game where I include some optional, off to the side, way-overleveled "guardians" that players can return to fight for extra treasure once they have some more levels under their belt.
My problem is that many of my players initially bounced off pathfinder 1e for being too crunchy, and have been playing mostly dungeon world. And while I do enjoy dungeon world, it's got two features that makes it particularily ill-suited for this campaign:
1. Characters tend to gain more options when they level up instead of becoming numerically better at surviving and killing.
2. Combat is Very free flowing. That's great when I want to dynamically change how difficult combat is, but when the feeling I want to ellicit on lower level is "you're in way over your heads", it feels a bit too much like GM fiat to me.
All that is a long-winded way of asking, do you know of any dungeon crawling fantasy RPGs where characters get Stronger in addition to/rather than growing more versatile, that has more black-and-white combat arbitration, *and* that's on the more rules light side of the spectrum (especially on the character creation side of things)?
Okay, so it actually sounds like you might benefit from one of the older editions of D&D! No, don't run away, come back!
But seriously, let me explain what I mean:
If Pathfinder 1e is too crunchy for your players they might benefit from something that has less crunch. While some older editions of D&D can be quite crunchy (basically, both AD&D 1e and 2e are pretty crunchy, albeit in different ways than Pathfinder), there is the whole Basic D&D lineage of games that are very much simplified and streamlined.
Even though character growth in older editions of D&D wasn't quite as pronounced as in WotC editions, there is still a clear power growth as characters level up, and it is mostly expressed via the numbies going up!
D&D has always been About Combat to an extent, so the combat is still heavily structured.
Character creation in older editions is VERY simple, with only a few choices.
Other benefits include the fact that older editions of D&D come with lots of procedures built in for making a sandbox setting come alive. Random encounters, procedures for populating the world, you've got it all! There's even treasure maps that point to random locations on your campaign map!!!
Now I also understand why you might be hesitant to take me on this idea: those older editions have lots of weird rules and significantly fewer character options. Which is often true. But there's also a burgeoning scene of new games that are taking the aforementioned benefits of those older games and applying some modern sheen to them. Many of which are free!
Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game is a Creative Commons licensed free old-school D&D clone that is not a clone of any specific edition of D&D, but sort of a best-of of old-school D&D. The game is literally free, and if you wish to increase character options beyond the ones in the core rules (which has Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Halflings, and Fighters, Magic-Users, Clerics and Thieves) there is a vibrant community of people creating free supplements for the game.
The Microlite20 family of games are a set of simplified D&D clones that often take more after modern D&D, but there is a separate old-school edition of the latest version! And if you end up missing some of the "new-school" options the Microlite20 family of games are all broadly compatible with each other!
FORGE is a free RPG heavily inspired by the Basic D&D lineage of games but also some modern old-school clones like Knave, and it basically presents a classless version of old-school D&D (but where levels are still a thing and there are still some character creation choices that echo throughout a character's career). It also has fantastic gameplay guidance and GM tools!
And the best thing about all those games I just mentioned: they are all broadly compatible with each other! So even if you end up running one game, you can easily poach procedures and ideas you like from the others! These games are all basically in the same lineage, and because of that they have lots of points where there's a lot of room for modding and borrowing!
If you would like to talk about this some more, don't hesitate to DM me! I love talking about these sorts of campaigns and if you still have questions and specific wishes I would love to help! :)

Progress so far of mobile server (dev log)
So I was successful in turning my old phone into apache web server. The phone had some hardware issue that it always clicked on the screen randomly so I had to maneuverer my way installing Linux and apache into the phone. I had to set up proxies as well to connect to it with the open internet. So far it is working well. Sometimes I have to reroute the connections since it is running over mobile data? I am thinking of getting a dynamic DNS. But I have never tried dynamic DNS before so I am not ready to explore that yet. Plus, I don't know if I would get a static IP from it or a straight away domain name? I mean both are okay, but both have pros and cons of the usage.
Like if I get a static IP , I can run virtual hosts in apache and run multiple websites pointing A record of the domain to the same website.
And lets say if I get a subdomain from the dynamic DNS, I can point CNAME record of the domain to subdomain? But will virtual hosts work with it? I don't know. I suppose it should but it could not work also. Hmm.. lets see, I think I have done this before, apache virtual hosts works with CNAME.
But there is another issue that one of the website runs behind a SOCKS5 proxy, How will I accommodate that? The issue is that, since its Ubuntu running over VM over lineage OS in phone, I can't get low number ports such 80 or 443 so I have to somehow use Dynamic DNS and SOCKS5 proxy to redirect traffic at higher port number.
I mean, I still have oracle VPS running so I may not need virtual hosts in mobile server. So maybe I will venture this when I need it.
I am just wondering whether I should run Docker to run my game server then redirect the traffic with apache virtual hosts, reverse proxy with SOCKS5 proxy? I don't even know if it work. Theoretically it should work.

Final Girls The Last Lineage... / Since 2018;
"The bees in my garden, in the garden of my dreams, fly and cultivate of the green. The yellow of the sun and the "marelo" of my son-in-law cause me fever, mercury follows the routes of my veins, mercury in my veins, you know me better than I know myself, when will this become clear? The blue of our pupils is the same as the sky. Your life is incredible, your clothes are incredible, the fairies envy and sing the same old song while we dance in anticipation of a new summer:"
"It's the bees in the garden, and Patty and the bees..."
"It's the bees in the garden, and Gab and the bees..."
"It's the bees in the garden, and Patty and the bees..."
"It's the bees in the garden, and Gab and the bees..."
🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝—🐝

Your name is Eos? That's such a cool name!
Not a very gendered name, and unknown enough that ppl don't necessarily know where it's from, but definitely still with a meaning! It's beautiful!
Just wondering, how do you pronounce it? EE-os? A-os? A secret third option? Asking bc in English I guess I'd go for EE-os but in my native language it'd be pronounced A-os
Thanks for the compliment! And yeah its pronounced EE-os.
Eos is the name of the greek godess of the dawn, but that's not actually where I got the name from lmao. I like taxonomy (the scientific naming and classification of organisms) and Eo- (from the ancient greek eos, meaning early, or dawn) is one of the prefixes commonly used for early, fossilised appearances of animals. I just found it while looking through crab lineages and I liked it lmao.

(🇺🇲/🇬🇧) I think it's ridiculous. They are ignorant people who have no idea of the value of Portugal in our country. Well, colonization was indeed bad, because it was a colonization of exploitation, not of population (like in the US, for example) and because you Portuguese decided to mix a lot. But if it weren't for you, we wouldn't be Brazil. Most Brazilians have at least 30% Portuguese blood from historical heritage. If not by historical heritage, it's by immigration. For example, my father's grandfather (my great-grandfather) was Portuguese and moved to Brazil and married the daughter of an Italian couple, where my grandmother was born. My grandfather had all Portuguese lineage, if I'm not mistaken, which also came during immigration. Portugal is the father of Brazil, so I think this huge disrespect towards you is ridiculous. I've seen some people in my daily life using this term and I tried to correct them. I also feel ashamed for the Brazilians who keep emigrating to Portugal. I am strongly against any Brazilian who emigrates to another country (unless the person is going to study or to do work, but for a limited time). I consider them traitors to the country. I know that Portugal is currently facing a kind of exclusion, but know that if we can raise awareness among our populations and teach our history, without any leftists distorting the facts, we will be great partners again!
