The Redstone Rabbit Hole: Crafting Contraptions with Fluffy
By Mr. Fluffernutter Ah, my dear fellow inventors and tinkering tails! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to harness the power of electricity—to build machines, light up entire villages, and create contraptions that work while you sit back and nibble on a well-earned carrot? Well, gather ‘round, for today, we tumble down the Redstone Rabbit Hole! Minecraft’s Redstone is more than just…

ignore the shitty quality i was fighting for my life on the clown car while making this ❤️ thought process is basically ken remembers a lot of seawatts advice when hes in horrible situations. and i didnt draw any past this (canon!!!) moment in the hopper prison but i imagine during future escape rooms they also have memories of seawatts advice that she uses to her advantage
This is really cute 🥺 Seawatt teaches Ken a lot of Minecraft trivia facts when they do more trivia-focused escape rooms, and Ken teaches Seawatt a lot of glitches and technical tricks when they do more mechanic-focused escape rooms <33 (after all I’m always thinking about when Seawatt told Captain Sparklez that Ken taught him the “really cool” clipping through glass pane crawl glitch. Which is Ken’s favorite. Ignore how I know that)
I’m also always thinking about these lyrics from For Good (Wicked)
Like the idea that the handprint remains even after the person themself is gone from your life — even if, in kenwatt’s case, maybe you forget them, the handprint is still there and undeniably theirs. I forget which kenwatt I said this in, but there are a few mechanics that I personally always associate with Ken and so I had Seawatt do the same: water redirection, certain crawl glitches, indirect placement especially.
Also… can I just say your Seawatt is so beautiful…
#asks#kenwatt#idk this is more of a ramble than an explosion LOL#sorry your attack didn’t work I got too caught up in thinking abt Minecraft mechanics#I LOVE Minecraft. sorry.#bonus points for anyone who gets the two (categories of) mechanics I associate with Wato#AND WHILE WE’RE ON THE TOPIC#I reallyyyyyy want to see a speedrun-themed escape room#that utilizes common speedrun mechanics that are otherwise rare in escape rooms#ESPECIALLY pearl hang. I think there could be something there#maybe certain rooms/checkpoints set you to different game modes#so like adventure mode route this bastion#survival mode rooms are all made of bedrock#much to think about

I had a dream Aaron Fechter revamped the Rockafire explosion and completely modernized all the tech and it got really popular and mainstream and one of the features of this new show was that Beach Bear looked like Jack black as Minecraft Steve and before the show would start Jack black would come on stage doing Jack black stuff and then he’d play down on a table and start to mechanically morph into beach Bear transformers style and start playing his guitar
and also uncle klunk got redesigned to look like an effeminate anime boy
Also beach bears guitar looked like a plushie of a starfish and not like a guitar at all which was interesting

Been watching Calvin’s from the fog videos and now I’m obsessed with Minecraft again.
My Lore for herobrine/players:
Ok so my version of players is that they are basically shapeshifters from the void. All the tiny white dots in the void are player stars (the brain) they command their surroundings void to either consume other weaker stars or the End island to create more void.
Physical Players started being allowed on the surface when the God, Creation (Mojang) found potential use with the void stars, that being helping them create new shit for the world ( Modding ). Now this is where herobrine come in, just before the Piglin war Creation decided to put their experiment into motion by pulling out one of the void stars (herobrine) without any accompanying void and as a defense mechanism it shut itself off. Creation spend months try to find a way to reactivate the star or communicate with it but after 4 month with nothing they decided to let the other gods, Knowledge, Foresight and Action to try their luck with it. Unfortunately before they could get any real work done with it the Piglin war started and they had to turn their attention to preparing the ancient hero for the upcoming battle.
At the end of the war right before the Gods returned to the Well of Fate, Action, who still had the dormant star on their person, drop it into the Overworld without realizing, leaving it for one of the ancient hero’s to find. That hero being Steve, one of the first three hero’s to be summoned by the Gods, he was a scientist and researcher of the slow forming civilization of ancient Builders while his older brother Brian and his daughter Alex were warriors, a ‘real’ hero they’d call it but we won’t get into that.
Anyway Steve found the fallen star and since it was the Gods who left it behind he assumed it was a gift, so he took that star deep underground to a newly constructed city/laboratory (the soon to be deep dark). Down there Steve had a team of 7 main researchers to help work on the mysterious star. 3 cleric villagers, 2 witches and 2 members of the newly made mob, Illagers. During their research, tension grew between the villager and Illagers, it got to the point where every Illager and villager interaction ended in an argument. One of these arguments however happened in the testing chambers where the star was held and currently getting a close contact check up by Steve. It started when one young villager, Issac Larmon kept pestering another young Illager named Esmith Hensworth, about her peoples interest with ‘concerning’ new methods of magic. Their petty disagreement quickly turned into a full fledged debate when other villagers/illagers researchers working on golem creation nearby decided to put their two cents in and pick sides.
Steve needing to keep his focus on the star, it being incredibly fragile, wasn’t able to defuse the situation leaving the tension and negativity to rise in the room tricking the star into think it was back in the void therefore reactivating itself while still being held by Steve. The star began to do what it usually would if it were in the void and that is to ‘make more void’ by drain the life from Steve’s had and replace it it with this tar like substance. ( the exp from Steve’s hand floating within it) This caused Steve to immediately let go of the star let it fall and crack a few shards off, this flip a switch in the star now realizing that it is in fact not in the void and is in desperate need of a shell now that it’s hurt, so it buries itself into Steve’s chest and unfortunately for for the both of them Steve’s human body was not made to hold something of the void along with the fact that it was such a sudden transfer that not only did it completely burn out Steve’s insides and light coming out his eyes/mouth it also cause an explosion and right before that explosion happened Steve turn to see his brother Brian coming down to see what all the commotion was all about. That being the last person he saw before he died and the only thing the star grab from Steve’s died conscious was his brother’s name: The hero Brian aka Herobrine.

Complete List of Public Domain McGuffin Materials
I wanted a clean collection of these based on @titleknown original post, just for ease of reference and adding a few along the way.
Also, HAPPY PUBLIC DOMAIN DAY!
Cavorite - An Anti-Gravity Metal from First Men On The Moon by H.G. Wells.
Hihi'irokane - From "The Takenouchi Documents" (1935). A super durable metal that never rusts and is also a conductor of heat. In other words, it's Minecraft Red Stone.
Taduki - From the Alan Quartermain stories, a drug that allows users to relive past lives via smoking. It's a great framing device, and was used as one in the original stories.
The Absolute - from "The Absolute At Large". Byproduct of a matter-to-energy conversion. Implied to be the element of 'Divinity'.
Eitr - Source of all life in Norse Mythology. The mixing of the FIres of Muspelheim and the ice of Nifilheim -- but also a deadly poison to the earth.
Fleury's Gas - Rudyard Kipling's super gas from his story "With the Night Mail." Used to run Zepplins. It expands explosively fast as a gas and is both powerful and rigid. It can be liquified with Fleury's Ray. Produces a lot of power and acts as Hydrogen. Could be used very easily in Neumatics (ROBOTS!)
Tulu Metal - Lovecraft invention. rare space-metal. Extremely magnetic. Speculatively, it could do space-warping weirdness (given Lovecraft stories, that tracks).
Abyssal Gold - The Gold of the Deep Ones. It's whitish-gold alloy with a weird lustrousness. No special properties, it's just weird. And rather pretty. Rare type of gold are sure to go for a higher market value.
Alkahest/The Universal Solvent - Alchemy dissolver. It dissolved/breaks apart whatever it comes across.
Jeckyll's Compound - Most people use the Hyde formula as shorthand to make Hulk-knockoffs, but the reality of it more than that. Hyde is not just a coalescence of a man's "Dark Impulses" but a chemical 'disguise' to allow a person to indulge in whatever a person wants.
The Red Weed - A plant native to Mars from War of the Worlds. It tastes metallic, absorbs water, grows extremely quickly, and is bioluminescent.
Starlite - A purportedly heatproof material. Up to 90% organic.
Rossum's Protoplasm - Rossum's Universal Robots, the McGuffin that makes the robots move and behave.
Liquid Electricity - Glowing energy liquid. It was a common belief about Electricity in the early days, so it ended up in a lot of stories.
Herbet West's Re-Animation Fluid - From Lovecraft's Herbet West: Reanimator. It chemically kickstarts the mechanical process of life in organic tissue.
Solarnite/Solarbenite/Solarite - Plan 9 From Outer Space. It causes light particles to... explode.
Vril - The life energies harnessed by an underground utopian civilization. The energies are controlled by staves and there's different type of staff to control Vril in different ways. It can be used to heal, to destroy, or to enhance organic material.
Herakleophorbia IV - The Food of the Gods of H.G. Well. Organisms that ingest this chemical quickly grow to 5 to 7 times their normal size. This is used primarily on livestock to increase their food yield, but it naturally gets eaten by pest animals. Many common household pest insects are now the size of a person's thumb or their hand! A rat is now 6 to 9ft long. And if some jerk feeds it to an Alligator... it now as large as a blue whale.
The New Accelerator - From the HG Wells story from the same name. Within the story, Prof. Gibberne creates a drug that enables the user’s mind and body to gain temporary super-speed, so that everything in the world appears frozen solid as time appears to slow.
There are downsides to being a 1901 version of the Flash however. Users are still subject to friction, so moving while on the drug causes your clothes to get singed (this same friction making it impossible to breathe is ignored, however).
Devil's Foot Root - From the Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes story The Adventure of the Devil’s Foot. A poison made from an African root, which vaporizes when heated, leading to those exposed going mad or dying after inhaling the fumes.
Basically, works like the Scarecrow’s fear toxin from Batman, and is considered rare enough that someone has to specifically use some from a stolen from the collection of someone who had to gather it personally as an explorer. At least, at the time.
The White Powder - The novel of The White Powder by Arthur Machen, wherein a student is prescribed a drug made from a mysterious white flakey substance. His sister begins to worry about his sudden changes in mood and personality, which is only compounded when his prolonged abuse of the titular White Powder causes the student to literally melt.
One of Machen’s more famous stories, would go on to be listed as among Lovecraft’s favorite's and inspiring future writers, from the finale of Lovecraft’s Cool Air to one Stephen King story where a tainted six pack turns a dude into a blob monster.

Alright so apparently there's a new update coming out for minecraft and it's about friendly ghasts. That's great and cute and adorable and all but it raises some questions because of how exactly it works.
so there've been some hints at there being more to Ghasts than we know, from the vestigial gills on their sides, to their constant misery, to the "uneasy alliance" achievement talking about "rescuing them" from the nether and bringing them "home" to the overworld.
This update reveals some crazy stuff about ghasts. Like, you can find these dried out baby ghasts husks near fossils, which come back to life if you soak them in water. Like a tardigrade. They grow over time, and grow faster if you feed them snowballs. Which is weird.
Ghasts grown up in this manner are vulnerable to fire and are unable to shoot fireballs.
What is weirder is that you can craft the little buggers in a crafting table. Out of bone blocks and ghast tears.
Why the hell are these flying ghost balloons made out of bones? Bones that aren't theirs? What the hell are ghast "tears" if they are used to reproduce? If ghasts need water and snow to grow up, how do they keep spreading in the nether?
Are they mechanical? Some consider the Mobeastiary to imply that they are. If so, then what the hell is a ghast tear? If it were artificial, we'd assume that it'd be something one could acquire elsewhere and then use to build a ghast. But no, ghasts are the main if not only source of ghast tears in Minecraft, and it takes more tears to make a baby ghast than you can harvest from a grown-up ghast.
Are they undead? The wither doesn't attack them, so, maybe! I mean apparently they're made of bones so this seems entirely reasonable to me! But no! If they were undead, then healing potions would kill them!
Are they alive? You can make them on a goddamned crafting table. Out of bones. YOU tell ME if it's alive.
The ghast tears are used to make potions of regeneration. Which seems out of place. But you wanna know something about happy, healthy ghasts that get raised with water? When they fly to Y195, they just get the regeneration status effect! What the fresh hell is this!
They need water to function! There is no water in the nether! What is bringing the ghasts to life?
My going theory is that they're some kind of colony coral-like creature that nests in and dissolves bones into a stretchy gelatinous mass that they then inflate with some buoyant gaseous byproduct of the reaction, and that they usually need to be submerged in water for this. The "tears" are actually the living organism, and the ghast we know is just a puppet. Like a tardigrade or one of those frozen arctic worms, a ghast "tear" colony can remain dormant for decades or even centuries before being revived. Somehow, something in the nether is co-opting this process. Maybe if they wind up "infesting" wither skeleton bones by accident their husk winds up animating on its own, consumed by infernal malevolence? It'd explain the explosive breath and the indifference of withers, but if that were the case, I'd expect it to inflict the wither effect instead of just fire. Maybe they wind up using lava or volcanic fumes or nether rack or soul sand instead of water to catalyze the process, which would explain the flammability and irritability, but not anything else.
The "ghast warn" sound name might imply that the ghasts don't want to kill you at all and are giving you a heads up to dodge their body's attacks, potentially adding credence to the wither possession theory, or perhaps they're just making a threat display.
Anyway. These freaking things. Freaking weird.

Pre-alpha Lancer Tactics changelog
(cross-posting the full gif changelog here because folks seemed to like it last time I did)
We're aiming for getting the first public alpha for backers by the end of this month! Carpenter and I scoped out mechanics that can wait until after the alpha (e.g. grappling, hiding) in favor of tying up the hundred loose threads that are needed for something that approaches a playable game. So this is mostly a big ol changelog of an update from doing that.
But I also gave a talent talk at a local Portland Indie Game Squad event about engine architecture! It'll sound familiar if you've been reading these updates; I laid out the basic idea for this talk almost a year ago, back in the June 2023 update.
youtube
We've also signed contracts & had a kickoff meeting with our writers to start on the campaigns. While I've enjoyed like a year of engine-work, it'll be so so nice to start getting to tell stories. Data structures don't mean anything beyond how they affect humans & other life.
New Content
Implemented flying as a status; unit counts as +3 spaces above the current ground level and ignores terrain and elevation extra movement costs. Added hover + takeoff/land animations.
Gave deployables the ability to have 3D meshes instead of 2D sprites; we'll probably use this mostly when the deployable in question is climbable.
Related, I fixed a bug where after terrain destruction, all units recheck the ground height under them so they'll move down if the ground is shot out from under them. When the Jerichos do that, they say "oh heck, the ground is taller! I better move up to stand on it!" — not realizing that the taller ground they're seeing came from themselves.
Fixed by locking some units' rendering to the ground level; this means no stacking climbable things, which is a call I'm comfortable making. We ain't making minecraft here (I whisper to myself, gazing at the bottom of my tea mug).
Block sizes are currently 1x1x0.5 — half as tall as they are wide. Since that was a size I pulled out of nowhere for convenience, we did some art tests for different block heights and camera angles. TLDR that size works great and we're leaving it.
Added Cone AOE pattern, courtesy of an algorithm NMcCoy sent me that guarantees the correct number of tiles are picked at the correct distance from the origin.
pick your aim angle
for each distance step N of your cone, make a list ("ring") of all the cells at that distance from your origin
sort those cells by angular distance from your aim angle, and include the N closest cells in that ring in the cone's area
Here's a gif they made of it in Bitsy:
Units face where you're planning on moving/targeting them.
Got Walking Armory's Shock option working. Added subtle (too subtle, now that I look at it) electricity effect.
Other things we've added but I don't have gifs for or failed to upload. You'll have to trust me. :)
disengage action
overcharge action
Improved Armament core bonus
basic mine explosion fx
explosion fx on character dying
Increase map elevation cap to 10. It's nice but definitely is risky with increasing the voxel space, gonna have to keep an eye on performance.
Added Structured + Stress event and the associated popups. Also added meltdown status (and hidden countdown), but there's not animation for this yet so your guy just abruptly disappears and leaves huge crater.
UI Improvements
Rearranged the portrait maker. Auto-expand the color picker so you don't have to keep clicking into a submenu.
Added topdown camera mode by pressing R for handling getting mechs out of tight spaces.
The action tooltips have been bothering me for a while; they extend up and cover prime play-area real estate in the center of the screen. So I redesigned them to be shorter and have a max height by putting long descriptions in a scrollable box. This sounds simple, but the redesign, pulling in all the correct data for the tags, and wiring up the tooltips took like seven hours. Game dev is hard, yo.
Put the unit inspect popups in lockable tooltips + added a bunch of tooltips to them.
Implemented the rest of Carpenter's cool hex-y action and end turn readout. I'm a big fan of whenever we can make the game look more like a game and less like a website (though he balances out my impulse for that for the sake of legibility).
Added a JANKY talent/frame picker. I swear we have designs for a better one, but sometimes you gotta just get it working. Also seen briefly here are basic level up/down and HASE buttons.
Other no-picture things:
Negated the map-scaling effect that happens when the window resizes to prevent bad pixel scaling of mechs at different resolutions; making the window bigger now just lets you see more play area instead of making things bigger.
WIP Objectives Bullets panel to give the current sitrep info
Wired up a buncha tooltips throughout the character sheet.
Under the Hood
Serialization: can save/load games! This is the payoff for sticking with that engine architecture I've been going on about. I had to add a serialization function to everything in the center layer which took a while, but it was fairly straightforward work with few curveballs.
Finished replacement of the kit/unit/reinforcement group/sitrep pickers with a new standardized system that can pull from stock data and user-saved data.
Updated to Godot 4.2.2; the game (and editor) has been crashing on exit for a LONG time and for the life of me I couldn't track down why, but this minor update in Godot completely fixed the bug. I still have no idea what was happening, but it's so cool to be working in an engine that's this active bugfixing-wise!
Other Bugfixes
Pulled straight from the internal changelog, no edits for public parseability:
calculate cover for fliers correctly
no overwatch when outside of vertical threat
fixed skirmisher triggering for each attack in an AOE
fixed jumpjets boost-available detection
fixed mines not triggering when you step right on top of them // at a different elevation but still adjacent
weapon mods not a valid target for destruction
made camera pan less jumpy and adjust to the terrain height
better Buff name/desc localization
Fixed compcon planner letting you both boost and attack with one quick action.
Fix displayed movement points not updating
Prevent wrecks from going prone
fix berserkers not moving if they were exactly one tile away
hex mine uses deployer's save target instead of 0
restrict weapon mod selection if you don't have the SP to pay
fix deployable previews not going away
fix impaired not showing up in the unit inspector (its status code is 0 so there was a check that was like "looks like there's no status here")
fix skirmisher letting you move to a tile that should cost two movement if it's only one space away
fix hit percent calculation
fix rangefinder grid shader corner issues (this was like a full day to rewrite the shader to be better)
Teleporting costs the max(spaces traveled, elevation change) instead of always 1
So um, yeah, that's my talk, any questions? (I had a professor once tell us to never end a talk like this, so now of course it's the phrase that first comes to mind whenever I end a talk)

hi so i got minecraft brainworms and been thinking of the golden goddesses and I thought it would be a funny scenario to imagine them playing Minecraft. cause as Goddesses of creation I think they would have fun playing the silly block game, so this is how I would think the play style of the golden goddesses would be.
DIN -
Experience - Expert
Mods - no mods she just plays pure vanilla
Prefered Style - Loves to terraform land to the point where it is barely recognizable from what it used to be.
Little knowledge of restone mostly cuz she's lazy to learn more of it, only knows the iron door mechanic and that's about it
Don't think she'd be an avid farm user aside from the basic farm animals. She probably only does a 3x3 square farms
Would for sure beeline to the nether the second she gets a chance
Favorite biomes are the mountain biomes
Her first base is a dirt hut that is her forever home, probably caused by a creeper explosion
Most definitely would fight the Ender Dragon with limited equipment (same goes for the Warden she dgaf)
Loves to find secret areas to loot (mineshafts, ancient cities, pillager outposts, temples etc)
Preferred difficulty is Hardcore
She likes to strip mine
When stripping away spawned areas she likes to give all blocks she obtains to Nayru so she can make cute builds out of it
Diamond > Netherite
Honestly she would probably play Beta Minecraft
NAYRU
Experience - Casual (?)
Mods - She for sure got shaders in, maybe a few building mods
Prefered Style - She's a builder, most def she builds a whole town in the places Din heavily terraforms. Only explores around to find a pretty biome. Rarely mines and its just easier for her to ask Din or Farore for some ores and equipment (which they do without hesitation)
Basic knowledge of Redstone, she mostly uses it to create secret doors
For sure got an army of axolotls, tho she just has them cause they're cute
Casual farm user like Din, probably creates massive wheat fields for the aesthetic of it and large animal farms so the animals "don't feel so cramped in"
Favorite Biomes are Sandy Biomes and Oceans.
Her base is an emptied out Ocean Monument (With the help of Din Terraforming and Farore killing off the monsters) where she neatly organizes her stuff.
Doesn't like exploring alone and likes to go with Farore
Plays in normal difficulty but likes to play in creative mode a lot.
FARORE
Experience - Pro Gamer
Mods - For sure has a lot of mods and shaders installed, probably adds like one(1) scary mod to mess with Din and Nayru and doesn't tell them.
Preferred Style - Likes to mine and upgrade her gear, for sure a completionist and likes to get all of her achievements
Expert redstone user, knows so much about Redstone where it's almost pointless
Has a ton of farms, iron, creeper, xp, you name it.
Favorite Biomes are Woodland Biomes
Her base is a massive mansion house she built (with the help of Nayru) there are walls of double chests with stacks of items she has obtained. She built her gimormus base where Din heavily terraformed and Nayru build a small town in.
When she finds an area (temple or what not), she likes to go ultra prepared with shulker chests to grab items.
Netherite > Diamond
Likes to hop between regular survival and hardcore

Big long rambly incoherent essay and analysis incoming on the forcefield/pot/light ban since I have an unhealthy obsession with having minecraft game knowledge, and I looked up how the ban works and tested pot breaking mechanics ingame, and thought of possible (but hard) ways that ppl could break the chunkbans so:
The pot/light level ban that Squiddo has been doing is the same thing as the chunk ban that was in the strength dimension (strength smp), and in a video by Tai, Kenadian explains how you can be immune to that ban, by already having loaded a chunk before any bans were placed, essentially having it already loaded while it was still safe.
However, if you log out of the chunk, or if you unload then reload the chunk later, you're no longer safe. Any sort of rendering of that pot will get you chunkbanned, so keeping your render distance as low as possible (minimum is 2) is important so you have way less risk of getting chunkbanned by a pot somewhere nearby.
Minute and Clown were immune to the chunk ban bcs they were already standing/loading the chunk before the pot was placed. Zam was not because he's already been disconnecting around that area so he wasn't safe. Minute and Clown are no longer immune to the existing chunkbans though because they logged out/unloaded those chunks.
Which is why Squiddo NEEDED the chaos emerald to actually work and kick the owners, sadly they didn't fall for the logout thing either, alternatively they could have had the owners unload then reload a chunk with the pot already placed by telling them to turn down their render distance or to walk somewhere then come back, but that'd be sus as hell ㅠㅠ
Now that the pots are already placed in spawn tho people will not be able to even step near there unless they find a way to destroy them from a distance, but they'd have to find the pots first and the two ways I can see it being done is
1. Flashback/replay modding but idk if it will also crash your replay/flashback
2. Be loading the chunk already before the pot gets placed (not gonna work for the pots already placed in spawn. The chaos emerald might also potentially kick you afterwards if Squiddo is chasing you)
3. Map mod and you play with the cave/y levels until you spot a little terracotta coloured dot on the map, which might be the safest method but probably not the most accurate, but it requires you to update the chunks that the pots are in so that the map can see it, so you're gonna have to have your render distance raised by a lot for a sec (therefore getting chunkbanned) and then turning it back down afterwarda so you can log in again. There's also the other thing that some people don't use the map mod at all.
4. Astral projection? Your projection however doesn't load or render in chunks themselves so you can't really see much outside what you've already got rendered in I think? Idk much abt this exploit. Unless you can also be somewhere that someone else has rendered in? (it will have to be an immune player or someone stuck because they're rendering in that chunk). There is a chance you just get kicked once you step foot in that chunk even if you're in Astral projection mode though, don't think you'll be chunkbanned though cuz your body will be somewhere else entirely
As for destroying the pots, the only way I can see them being destroyed successfully would be through projectiles (arrows, wind charges, eggs, snowballs) or tnt explosions which can break pots, but will require one person to be loading that chunk in while the projectiles and explosives are firing, otherwise those arrows/tnt/other projectiles will just stay suspended in the air once they fly into the unloaded chunks.
Aka someone's gonna have to take one for the team and raise their render distance (NOT WALK IN) to load in the pots, which chunkbans them, and log in and out over and over again so that those projectiles and explosives can still fly through and hit the pots eventually. Reason why raising render distance in stead of walking into the chunk is more important is because you can just lower your render distance afterwards so you're not perma stuck.
Or in the case you don't have multiple people to have a designated kamikaze guy, you can fire as many projectiles or tnts as once into the unloaded chunks, and THEN start raising your render distance to load the chunks and spam logging in and out so that they can hit the pot. More risky to do it alone however, in the case that another pot gets placed down right beside you. If you have at least two people, someone who's not loading in the other chunk bans (and is presumably not getting obliterated by the chaos emerald) can break the pot if kamikaze guy ends up logging out when it gets placed down.
So now I compiled viable methods (some more than others) of breaking the pots:
1. A regular tnt cannon set up outside the chunk ban and you keep firing it until it hits the pot. (Destructive towards spawn)
2. If you have the exact location and coords of the pots you can maybe orbital strike it with a stab shot.(Also destructive towards spawn. And it will require fixing the death star. And knowing how it works. And praying that the stab shot is not hitting an obsidian part of Atlas Jr's sheild if the pot happens to be under it.)
3. Spam shoot arrows, wind charges, snowballs, or eggs (preferably arrows and wind charges) at the direction of the pot if you know theres no blocks in the way. Once the projectiles leaves the loaded chunks it'll stay suspended in the air within the unloaded chunks, and not actually hit the pot, which is where kamikaze guy comes in and loads the chunks in. The person spam shooting cannot be the one to render in that chunk though (thats kamikaze guy's job) so you're quite literally taking shots in the dark unless you know the exact coords and you can triangulate where exactly you need to shoot. The chunkban bundle will be still dropped as an item if the pot breaks though, so it'll have to be waited out to despawn by kamikaze guy unless the pot breaks in spawn chunks. (Probably the most viable since some of the pots were placed out in the open and no one can go back to cover them up. Not as viable for the ones tucked into buildings or little nooks and crannies)
4. If you're really desperate, let a wither loose, and you somehow get some mobs to wander near the pots, and you pray the wither aggros them and somehow blows up the pots. Those chunks are gonna have to be constantly loaded however by someone willing to kamikaze (again, also destructive and it's random)
5. BEG SOMEONE WITH CONSOLE (AKA SPOKE) to get those pots removed with commands (Probably not gonna happen unless a nat 20 persuasion check is made)
Whoever also tries these methods and plans WILL have to factor in the fact that people could be actively trying to fight them or place down MORE chunkbans and try to get people kicked/de-immune/load in new chunkbans so uh yeah. Good luck to them o7
TL:DR - Whoever tries to break the chunkbans are gonna have to VERY METICULOUSLY PLAN IT OUT for it to work, but otherwise they're cooked bro 😭

Bionicle Mask ideas
Mask of Distant Sight (essentially works like Shivers from Disco Elysium, giving the user the ability to sense what is happening in any location; the noble version only works with places the wearer has already been)
Mask of Gripping (while holding an object, the user's hands can't be removed from it by most external means)
Mask of Memory-Storage (the user can extract memories from other beings by touching the exposed part of their brain, then store them in a detachable memory-core that slots onto the back of the mask)
Mask of Strategy (gives the user the ability to create a plan for something they are about to do, but only incorporating factors the user knows of; the plan can then be broadcast to others)
Mask of Hate (forces the user's target to become aggressive to any other being the user specifies; considered immoral)
Mask of Beast-Form (allows the wearer to transform into a hybrid of their species and a specific Rahi which is programmed into the mask when it's forged, and which the shape is based on)
Mask of Caving (combines weak night-vision, the ability to climb walls, and a depth-measuring laser-sight)
Mask of Mechanics (basically the Mask of Biomechanics but with machinery)
Mask of Frostwalking (literally just the Frost Walker enchantment from Minecraft)
Mask of Vision-Sharing (the user can share what they see with others, or use the vision of others; this includes any illusions that only one of them can see, as well as a Rode-user's ability to see through illusions)
Mask of Smithing (gives the user instinctual knowledge of how to forge good)
Mask of Explosions (the user can create explosions; best used by bulkier beings)

Q!fit design
Ok so I haven’t been able to dray him yet so I’m just gonna describe the bitch
Physical appearance
Ok so he has a lot of scars a good amount of them of them are old and gnarled due to most of them being from 2b2t and only a couple of them are fresh. one of my many Minecraft hc’s is that the players only keep the scars if they are the cause of death and since he hasn’t died on the QSMP much he doesn’t have a lot of new scars
One of his bigger scars is from a explosion incident and the scar is on his left side(right if we drawing it) and it is on his head and ripped up some parts of his mechanical arm
Fitmc is a crocodile hybrid. I was given this idea by someone on here can holy shit I can’t get it out of my head. He has a crocodile scales on his back and sholders closer to the spine and some scales on his head and on his arms
I like to think he has funky eyes, like they are just cool looking (might change them into more crocodile-esk eyes but for now they cloudy and hazel)
(Ignore how the hands are switched and I also don’t have the energy to try and make it look like crocodile skin)
Clothes
Quesadilla island is supposed to be a tropical resort island so I am assuming it’s hot, and so fit is wearing a take top. But he had to make it himself out of an old t-shirt that he used to wear under his normal jacket (i hc that 2b2t is cold despite the lava everywhere) ma he ripped the sleeve off the shirt making it into a tank top
He wears his signature bandanna (mainly to match Ramon) but it has several stains on it (dust, dirt, oil, blood)
His pants are just some raggedy ass baggy jeans BUT he ha sewn his own extra pockets into them to where they are these weird cargo jeans and like the bandanna they have many stains on them
so I drew him with an eyepatch and at first it was just an excuse for me to not draw the other eye but…what if the eyepatch is fake and it’s actually a tech thing and that’s how he can take screenshots and such
He also has a brown satchel that has many patches on it, there are pins but the line the inside because they might get in the way and get caught on stuff and he can’t afford that
And that is all! (for now)

Just woek up from a minecraft allergy meds dream...
So they'd added a few coop components to minecraft in one of their new microupdstes, a d its 4am rn and im like ... barely awake so forgive my rambling typos
But they'd added "compressed redstone" to the game, which you got by building a powder press, which was something used in like medicine back before capsuls existed, and it had dual features. See it was a small round pill-like shape that looked exactly like sudafed, and you could take it to clear status effects like bad omen.
But if you threw it like an enderpearl, it went off like a snap in pop. Little bit of gunpowder in a little paper satchet combusts on impact. Very cool safe firework for kids. Because yes we like to blow shit up in america, its in our blood. Amd it made enough sense b/c redstone ore activates when you step on it (ie under pressure), and you use redstone to activate tnt so that makes it like a gunpowder trail in dream logic ig.
But we and by we i mean me, my brother, and Tango Tek because ya know i just know the guy of course that totally makes sense. But we figured out that if you put it in a stasis chamber and launched it at high speed using minecarts it exploded with at least the boom as tnt, and it was cheap, resource wise, because for some reason the minecart wouldn't explode due to the weird way wed essentially glitched the peaces together.
It required piston pushing a campfire into a minecart, then a calderon on top - which they'd added anvil-like physics to, so if you placed it it would fall but not destroy shit, and if you did this: drop caldron onto campfire and the add water, you get a bubbling pot. It was meant for new food and potion mechanics. But we figured out that because the redstone pills were based on enderpearl code, you could stasis chamber them.
And so you then throw a redstone pill in, which btw they were called "compressed redstone" but between the three of us, wed equated it to sudafed and were calling it a redstone pill.
Because the water prevented the explosion from doing damage, the strange bubbling colderon minecart glitch stayed in one peace, but because the redstone pill was tiny it could ride in the water until the minecsrt came to an abrupt stop. The track was mostly powered rail so itd get FAST and then ended eith a dead redstone rail and a block so itd stop hard, causing the pill which still had inerta due to being in the water, and due to inertiap reference frame, would then - seconds later- crash into the wall of the caldron, the energy of the snap in pop explosion, increased by the inertia of the minecart and bubbline and heat of the water, would transfer out of the calderon/cart wall to the block at the end of the track and explode like tnt.
So i guess what im getting at is we started sudafed drilling as a variation on Doc's tunnel boar mining machine. It took a team of 2 for efficiency, where one stands on the receiving end but out of blast radius to add new track, and one on the launch end making redstone pills. And it worked pretty well as a mid-earky game tunnel boar.
And so my brother and I, helped by a passing tangotek, were just sidafed mining fir diamond. But this dream came from not a minecraft perspective, but like the fanon character world perspective. So while the blocks and objects were square my brother and I were manifestations of our online personas and the tango was tirefoxtf's tangotek.

Crystal Headcanons - Fan-Crystals
So over time I've come up with a big collection of fan/headcanon crystals for Storm Hawks. It's such a fascinating concept to me that I feel didn't get explored often enough in the show, despite them making up the entirety of the world's established magic system and being crucial to other parts of life such as travel and combat. I love making up new crystals to fill the world with so here's all the ones I have so far. I may have missed some, but this is most if not all of the crystals I've made up for stuff like plot, macguffins or just because I saw a random game mechanic I liked and thought "can I make up a crystal that does that?"
Some of these were made in collaboration with @ashe-alter. The raystones, hex crystal and channelling stone are the main three, but they've helped me figure out bits and pieces of other ones in this list. Go check out Grimm's stuff, they just made an ask blog for their awesome oc Austry too.
Borealis crystals: The colour of the Aurora. Popular in ski and snow resorts across Atmos, Borealis crystals are capable of changing the weather to snowfall. High-grade ones in the hands of powerful mages can even be used to summon vicious snowstorms. Must be handled with care, as an unstable, leaking Borealis crystal can cause Borealis poisoning, a chronic condition that shortens your lifespan.
Magnesis crystals: Silvery crystals with a metallic sheen. These are crystals that produce their own powerful magnetic field. Frequently used in heavy lifting equipment.
Leechlights: Black-purple in colour. Rare. Adjacent to leech crystals, leechlights are able to absorb light in order to create pockets of darkness. They are a favourite of Cyclonia's Nightcrawlers, awarded to their highest ranking officers.
Orbital stones: White, shard-like crystals. Splintered bones of death itself. Capable of severing the soul from the body. Handle with extreme caution, deadly to undead beings and dangerous for individuals with a silver allergy. Do Not channel into a Crescendo.
Memory stones: Yellow. Used to store memories for safekeeping. Legends tell of an ancient demigod who first created these crystals to record history.
Adreno crystals: Another crystal with origins in myth. On the surface they seem like standard purple energy crystals, until you realise how uneasy they make you feel. Their true power is that they cause an increase in adrenaline and stress-related hormones, triggering one's fight or flight response and heightening anxiety.
Rally stones: Myth origin. Comes in red or green. Red triggers passion, green triggers fury. Has disturbing uses in brainwashing rituals.
Raystones: Gold like the sun. Uncommon. Adjacent to sol crystals, they turn sunlight into concentrated blades and are better suited for weaponry.
Echo crystals: Light blue. Used to record audio and play it back, a common component of record discs and tape players.
Saltpetre crystals: Often colourless. Explosive crystals used for fireworks. A vital component to most firearms.
Glowstone: Can come in many colours. A Minecraft reference. Popular among crystal smiths for weapons development, glowstones aren't particularly bright and absolutely useless in combat. They do, however, leave a trail of light wherever they go that lingers like a long-exposure photograph. This makes them useful for navigating caves without having to scratch marks into the walls, and smiths use them to check the energy-conductive tracks in crystal powered weapons.
Bifrost crystals: Range from purple to blue-green. Incredibly rare but usually found among deposits of borealis crystals. At a glance, they're not anything special, but when struck by a bifrost powered weapon, the target is swathed in a shroud of shimmering light. A second strike causes said light to detonate around the target. If this sounds familiar, it's because I took this from a God of War Ragnarok mechanic.
Avia crystals: Green. A unique legendary set of crystals belonging to the Amazonian royal family. With these crystals, users can take the form of a bird, and if used in tandem with the rest of the set, they can turn other people into birds too.
Thunder opals: Opalescent stones that can create loud cracks of thunder and a wave of force when activated. High grade thunder opals are indicated by their white colouration. Lower grade ones with less force are popular with sound effects artists for use in movies, songs and radio productions. Black ones are silent but still produce a deadly shockwave when used.
Deadwood crystals: Dusty brown in colour. Frequently making up the cores of arid Terras, deadwood crystals create dry winds that can escalate into dust storms and twisters if used in the right environments.
Channelling stones: (aka Godtrapper crystals) There are many debates as to whether or not these crystals actually exist. They can be used to steal the power of divine beings for mortals to use for themselves.
Hex crystals: One of the only crystals with a 'liquid' form, hex crystals produce a purple substance known as Hexane that can be used to store oxygen, carbon dioxide and other chemicals. In the right conditions, creatures submerged in this liquid can be kept alive in a sort of "stasis" indefinitely
