Though it was rebodied in 1992 the mechanicals dated back to the early 80s with a front mid-engine layout where the driver and front passenger sat directly above the front axle. The 3 row interior seating featured a swivelling second row. The rear seats also folded flat to create a bed. When it was replaced by the R50 series in 1996 the front axle and engine were moved forward, the front seats moved back, loosing the cab-over configuration.

Safe Vehicle Desperately Needed

We need a safer vehicle. The van is on its last leg. It still has no power steering, the muffler is getting louder, and it's constantly trying to stall when driving.

My youngest has broken down twice each time at night . I cannot afford AAA, so getting help to her was very difficult. As a mother, I constantly worry when she is driving.

Transportation is a must where we live. We cannot walk anywhere since we live in the country. There are no taxi services and the bus comes a mile down the road.

Being physically disabled with very limited mobility makes the need for reliable transportation an absolute must. Since I am unable to drive the van without power steering, I have to rely on my youngest to get me to the doctors or the clinic. Since she is in school, I am unable to get anywhere.

I need a vehicle I can drive so I don't have to put a burden on my daughter.

We don't need a new vehicle or anything flashy. We just need reliable and safe transportation. We are looking for a mini van since I am unable to get in and out of cars, especially if they are low to the ground.
