On a lighter and completely unrelated note, I would still love love love to know more of the thought/creative process behind deciding who got to have what kind of outlandish facial hair?

Did they just ask everyone at casting "Hey, are you capable of growing a big bitchin' beard? Yes? Okay, go do that now and we'll sculpt it into something improbable and gravity-defying!"?

In times of trouble, I like to imagine a world where we get to see Hodgson with a handlebar moustache, Le Vesconte with a Van Dyke, Fitzjames with a Fu Manchu, or Solomon with a soul patch...

Brutal honesty vs Soft hypocrisy

Why they could never make me hate Stella:

In fact, I never had a problem with the characters who are assholes while the narrative treats them like the ones, without attempts to justify or whitewash. Bad guys exist for a reason, they play an important part in the plot.

But I can't stand the characters who are assholes while they're totally woobified, portrayed as misunderstood heroes / perfect victims, and their misdeeds are constantly downplayed / ignored by narrative.

This is the situation I have with Stella and Stolass.

On the one hand, Stella is a rough ridiculous caricature of what an abuser supposed to be. From such she, essentially, got only the name and a few basic traits (breaking stuff, yelling, etc.) so you could project on her whatever you want. I'd assume she acts more like a bully than an abuser. But what exactly prevents her from being believable representation of such a serious, complex topic?

Honesty!

Stella never* pretends to be good, neither lies about her intentions nor tries to increase attachment in her victim. She proudly hangs all her red flags out and screams at the top of her lungs, 🚩 "Hey, I'm abuser!" 🚩 And... probably, people like this do exist (people are different). Although they're minority for one simple reason: honesty wouldn't let them fool anyone and escape punishment. (Add to this Stella's lack of magical skills, power, brains, and then you'll see her writing is complete nonsense.) Oh, and don't you dare spread the "It's Hell" excuse on me! I've made a whole list of reasons why this point doesn't have any sense.

On the other hand, Stolass is much more subtle. He speaks civilly, stays calm (most of the time), tries to make a good impression. Stolass tells you how flattered he is that you invited him to the party; he treats himself to a drink and sings on a stage with you. So you'd think everything's fine… But as soon as you turn away, the owl will hide in a corner and bitch with himself about how petty your social event is. And despite this we're supposed to SIDE with Stolass because allegedly he isn't as petty as anybody at the anti-Blitzø party since he came there purely out of ✨politeness✨! Yeah, it's sooo polite to show up and act like a hypocritical jerk! Apparently the dumbass never heard about the polite refusal option.

Conclusion: Choosing between obvious asshole and woobified asshole I'd prefer the first one. At least in that case nobody's trying to force me into sympathy for a hypocrite.

*The ONLY truly manipulative moment from Stella's side was the fake hug in "Mastermind", and even that was pulled out of nowhere and then thrown into nowhere immediately. I guess that was made so people would compare Stella with Mother Gothel while they have nothing in common (sadly).

I must know. i've been told by many people that it's normal to go months without talking to friends, I should get used to spending time alone, and other things like that. at the same time i'm told we are a social species and need social interaction and i'm "too isolated" and need to have "better friends" in my life because it's "not healthy" to spend months alone in my room without anyone to talk to (not by choice, I struggle to make and keep friends because autism/disability, but would like to have close amd consistent people in my life)

so I need to ask. how much do all of you interact with another person in a positive, meaningful way?

i need to add context so you know what i mean exactly:

by this I mean you have full and enjoyable conversations, hang out, talk on the phone, talk in dms, play games together, etc with another person you're close with in life online or in person (friends, family, partners, etc). this can include hanging out/talking with with a partner or roommate or family you live with because you enjoy hanging out or talking together. there was actively a choice to be around each other. if you have a partner/family/roommate you live with and enjoy interacting with each other daily on purpose, this counts as "daily." this is only about chosen interactions where you both want to interact with each other because you enjoy each other's company and choose to socialize together. where you're already close, or actively trying to get closer. where you feel loved and appreciated by the person and enjoy your time spent together.

as opposed to when you have a short passing interaction, like you interact with customers at work or small talk coworkers, have a conversation with a stranger, interact with parents or siblings just because you live together, interact with classmates just because you're in class together, and things like that. circumstantial conditions, basically. spending all your time closed off alone in your room with random forced interactions you don't particularly enjoy or choose. like a parent only talks to you because you left your room and walked past them. or a partner comes home from work and demands you make food and they go watch tv alone and go to bed alone (loveless marriage type thing). or anything similar doesn't count here. if you *only* have those type interactions then it counts as "never"

(this includes everyone in general in your life combined. do you interact positively with your partner every day but friends once a month? then answer "daily." do you have daily small talk with parents who mostly ignore or nag you, or talk about work with coworkers, classwork with classmates, but see your best friends once a month? then it's "once a month." if it depends, choose which one is the average each year. you can also leave a comment to explain it if you want)

Before i start going off id like to know if anyone else has noticed this?? The way the story presents them is just so surface level and ridden with stereotypes. And without properly acknowledging or necessarily even addressing how harmful they are?? Ive also noticed a tendency to downplay/humorise the violence and oppression they’ve historically experienced- Am i the only one who thinks this is icky or??

i would also look into jupiter in sagittarius and jupiter in the 9th house as an indication of a foreign partner/s. jupiter in particular as it can symbolize growth and expansion; which can exacerbate the energy of the sign and house it is in (aka the fondness of sagittarius for travel, foreign experiences, unfamiliar cultures, and their ability to easily attract such things into their life), esp because jupiter is exalted in both this sign and house as well. not too sure about other placements, but this is one i can attest to seeing happen irl w a friend (jupiter in sagittarius) that constantly attracts foreigners online over dudes from our same cultural background!

With the release of From The Rehearsal Room - Tokyo to Ramin's youtube I finally, finally, continue and finish this side project I'm doing.

Initially, I used AI to mastered it because the first version I got from bilibili were not in good quality but I wasn't satisfied and I found the much better quality. But with Ramin uploaded it to youtube, I re did all the mastering just with audacity for both Part 1 and Part 2. The Part 2 is still from the better version I found from bilibili, by the way.

What you need to do is just download the file and put it on your music player. The metadata is all completed as if it's whole legit album. Enjoy, guys!!

And I'm being weird so all the lyrics that are put there are from my listening although I still use what I found online but I still listened and compared. They made few ad-libs and changes and I notice because for the songs that I wasn't familiar, the lyric that I found online and what they sang was slightly different. Perhaps they sing the newer version of the lyrics or mistakes? Even each Sheytoons songs they sing one in both parts differ from the ones I found online.

when gamemaker releases their next monthly update (i have no idea when this is supposed to be.) they will apparently be allowing the "GX games" export (I think it's like webassembly or something i don't know these things) to be used for purposes outside of their dumb website which means it will be effectively a non-broken version of the html export...So I'm considering updating the that thing to use that when it's possible it's just kind of I'm not fully sure there would be a point, because that thing was so simple that it avoids even having issues with the html export by not bothering to do anything complicated...and that thing has kind of lost all of the steam it could possibly have. (and i'm not really in the mood to be Promoting Public Facing Projects right now i'm more in the mood to be doodling random bullshit fanart and not even bothering to post it...) it kind of seems like it'd just be overkill for no gain at all really

Ok FOR REAL Theory Time!!! Gonna be massive spoilers plus mention of bugs/fungus! So I'm calling this the Mold Theory And what is the Mold? It's the black stuff under Home! (Mold under a house is very suiting, right?) The Mold has contaminated Every single thing that the Restoration team has found! The team talks about the envelopes, the antiques, and the artwork found for Welcome Home and how it is alwasys Wet and covered in Grime. The stuff that is "Growing" all over the found items... Staff must wear gloves or they will get covered in it

You can see it all over the gloves, the Walls, and even the Website Itself! It's also been shown on the restored art prior to the update. But one unfortunate person seems to have touched it. and that is.. The Question Answerer! (The head person of the Restoration team is also most likely infected) Now what this Mold does is, It seems to have an effect of the person's mental state. Causing them to see and hear things, as well as having lucid nightmares and an overwhelming urge to draw spirals. From the very moment of contact, it seems to have effect "When I Unwrapped the first letter, I felt it. I heard it. Open Open Open. I want it out, I'm Going to get it Out" Instant Hallucinations and Obsession! Now I'm going to be Comparing this Mold to a Real fungus called Cordyceps, or the Zombie-Ant Fungus. It is a fungus that can control BUGS (familar themes right?) and take over their minds, forcing them to act unnaturally and wander far in order to spread itself! ~Similarily~ this Mold can take control of the Host's mind as well. The "Spores" that it is trying to spread are the drawings of the spirals/eyes. And the more eyes are Drawn, the more Wally can SEE. Wally has made it truly apparent that he can see us through any rendition of his eyes. "I've seen you every time you've looked into my eyes" "I have more eyes than I did before, you know how to draw eyes You draw mine, many times. I know it is thanks to you, Neighbor.. That I can see.. but it is still.. I can't see" He is giving us instructions.. "You have work to do" -Giving us instrustions on how to draw an eye... "Please Open, Let me In" Now I find this last instruction very funny He doesn't say "Let me Out" No... He says "Let me IN" Into What? What are we Opening? Our doors?Our EYES? our Mind? our Heart?? I think that could be exactly it!!! Letting him.... into You!!! (The collective You) Isn't that Funny? A Funny little thought?! The Puppet becoming the Puppeteer! ooh hee hee hoo hoo I think I'm very clever about that! But there are so many themes of Strings/Control/Scripts That I simply couldn't help myself! Now does that mean I think Wally is Evil? Absolutely NOT I LOVE Wally, and hey, what's a bit of mind control between Neighbors? <333 I'll borrow a cup of sugar and you can borrow my sanity!
