I'm just saying, the Six of Crows Spinoff would have made big money for Netflix. Likely even more than the first season of Shadow and Bone, just look at how highly rated Six of Crows is on Goodreads with a "95% liked this book" average score. As well as how hyped it is on BookTok and the fuck ton of fanart and fanfiction.

Constantly, I also think about how Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Danielle Galligan, Calahan Skogman, and Jack Wolfe would have had a blast filming the Ice Court scenes. Just imagine the utter chaos in the bloopers and interviews. The insanity of the six of them (plus Kuwei!) clinging onto the side of a tank, four of them soaking wet, two covered in bits of glass and one in purple silks, and they're just storming through the snow while screaming "WE HAVE A TANK" at the top of their lungs.

I will cry now.

Calahan Skogman will never get to be in a scene with the rest of the Crows cast. We won’t get a scene onscreen with all six Crows. We won’t get the Ice Court Heist. We won’t get Inej’s backstory on screen. Amita won’t get to see her hard work finished, none of them will. We won’t get to see Wylan’s backstory on screen. We won’t get more of Inej and Nina’s friendship or Kaz and Jespers or Matthias interacting with the rest of the Crows.

These dedicated, phenomenal actors have been robbed. We’ve been robbed.

Arcane fans are all so fucking stupid and y'all deserve this stupid ass show. If this show had even a modicum of intelligence its thesis statement would have been that institutional oppression enacted by Piltover against Zaun was the real jinx and rot of show, finally giving rise to a monster coming to Jinx them back and be the reckoning for all their sins. Instead they give us that fuckass idiotic episode 7 that attempts to pin all the blame on Hextech and pretends like the horrible conditions of Zaun and cruelty of Piltover didn't already exist long before Jayce and Viktor cranked that damn crystal. Not only that, they go and martyr Vi which just gave the lowest bottom of the barrel members of this fandom a chance to accuse her of being the "real" jinx. This show is unserious garbage and its moronic fans deserve it.

Netflix can’t keep doing shit like this. Playing with fans like that, giving them a show to love and support and then snatch it away like it’s no more than a number on the sales chart of the year.

They shouldn’t even be allowed to start filming book adaptations of this magnitude without some sort of certainty for the fans. Without an actual plan to bring ALL the books to life. They pretend like they care about their audience with this 'Geeked Week' and 'TUDUM' bullshit and then they will go and cancel a bunch of shows like it’s nothing. Without explanation and with zero care for the millions of fans who will be emotionally affected by this.

And I’m sorry, but what the fuck are the other 4 shows that got cancelled with SaB???!?!! I had NEVER heard of them, EVER. One of them is an animated show that has Elvis Preasley as a secret agent, like, GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK. It is truly insulting that they even put SaB and the SoC spinoff in that same category. It feels like they’re laughing to our faces.

And to make it even worse, they give shows like 'Elite' SEVEN FUCKING SEASONS!! SEVEN!!!! A series about teenagers that just fuck each other and that everyone thinks it’s SHIT. And they also make movies like 'The Archies', a 'Riverdale' spin-off (aka the show EVERYONE was glad it finally ended).

But “oh no! God forbid we renew shows that have relatable, lovable characters, loyal fanbases and good storytelling. Now that would be awful.” So they go off and cancel 'Shadow and Bone', and the 'Six of Crows' spinoff, and 'Anne With an E', '1899', 'I Am Not Okay With This', 'Sense8', 'Glow', 'Julie and the Phantoms', 'Daredevil' and the list goes ON AND ON.

Fuck you Netflix. FUCK. YOU.

i know a lot of people have been talking about the netflix crew recording george's anxiety attack after singapore. i wanted to add in the perspective of someone who talks about the medical humanities, privacy in healthcare, and HIPAA all the livelong day (the joys of studying to be a doctor).

there is this privilege that comes with encountering people at their most vulnerable, but that privilege is small compared to the responsibility we have to protect people at their most vulnerable. not just when there are laws, not just if you're a service or healthcare worker, not just when our names and faces are attached to our actions – always. ik drive to survive has always been polarizing in the f1 community, but i think the drivers not being able to enforce basic boundaries at super vulnerable times (and the crew not even trying to respect them) is incredibly damaging not only for them and their loved ones, but also the motorsport community's perception of what constitutes entertainment.

that whole montage was a little haunting. you see george walking, and he is incredibly pale and gaunt – he is clearly physically ill. i guess there's an argument to be made that he may have consented for footage – up until carmen closes the door to the cooldown room, at which point including footage (audio or otherwise) is a blatant violation of george's privacy. i don't think its too much to expect a reality tv show to treat their subjects with a little bit of dignity – especially when this fuck ass show is supposed to be a 'docu-series', and its subjects are multimillionaire racing drivers.

i've also seen a little bit of pushback online of people who don't like george very much feeling like this isn't a big deal – because they don't like george very much. i just want to point out that regardless of your personal feelings about any of these drivers, as fans of motorsport and f1, we should have a basic modicum of respect for all of them.
