something something my mom has always been very strict that my family eat healthy. Organic, no junk food, no sugar, etc. but it got to the point of starting to go on fad diets progressively cutting more and more out to try and see what might fix whatever health issue we might have had at the time. no milk. no eggs. no soy. no wheat. no white rice. whatever it was she had read was evil that week. It didn't lead to a very good relationship with food!
anyways this is just to say I am so glad to the summer camp I work at for how good the food is. I am so thankful that camp has the resources to provide us with so many options. when we make pack out requests I can ask for nearly anything. even things that aren't in the kitchen I can request for it to be brought up from a town run. I can even request individual items on recs on the side just for me or my staffmates. An individual yogurt. A single gluten free muffin. And because our kitchen staff are awesome they'll do that for us!
We rarely had strawberries at home 1) because they had to be organic and 2) because organic berries are expensive and my mom would always guilt trip us or point it out when when we got them. But at camp when cooking out it's really common to get strawberries. It's just something you can do. They're not organic and I don't care. I'm just happy to get to eat.
Desserts, too. There will sometimes be a camper who will go, "my mom doesn't want me eating sugar. I should only eat half." Kiddo I won't tell if you don't. Your mom isn't here. I'm happy if you eat and enjoy eating.
One of the things we're taught when trained is to not try and control the kid's eating and thank goodness for it! Just make sure they're eating something. If kiddo doesn't want to eat anything but cheerios for the week- that's fine. They're eating. Offer them what else is available but like, that's it that's enough.
If we have leftovers by the end of the week we'll keep what can be used next session and send the rest home with the campers. Last summer I sent a camper home with two loaves of bread and it was so funny watching them proudly show them off. Last summer kitchen was testing out a teriyaki turkey bacon recipe and they had sooo much leftover, but my unit liked it, and we were able to send all the kids home with a baggie of it. The was a session where we had a lot of leftover apples and dessert toppings so we had a candied apple party with lunch before sending the kids home on the bus. The kids were thrilled! On Mondays, the campers choose what they want to eat at cookouts for the week and then at the cookouts they're part of the process, getting to help start the fire, cook, clean. If they're older, we encourage and guide them to lead cookouts themselves.
There is no evil food. It's one of the most rewarding things to feed these kids!

Absolute theory/headcanon/analysis/general idea legend whatudottu character arc of slowly becoming one of the four (4) Cerebrocrustacean fans in the entire fandom (even if Petrosapiens will always be #1 in its heart, which, you know, completely understandable NGL) let’s gooooo!
Also I can’t believe I haven’t made this connection until now but:
Cerebrocrustacean: “My people have a rich and complex history and culture, but most of the galactic audience boils us down to being nothing but ‘the violently bigoted xenophobes who keep destroying their own planet’ and it frustrates me to no end.”
Gourmand who’s been forced to hear the same “I can excuse cannibalism but I draw the line at marrying outside of your own race” joke over and over again: “Yeah, welcome to the club, pal.”
Me and my homies (4) being cerebrocrustacean fans: If cerebrocrustaceans have 0 fans we are dead, haha- Would buy merchandise to convince CN that Brainstorm is a cool transformation *looks over my shoulder to see the playdough brainstorm with removable brain toy that either I or my sibling got millions of years ago*
ANYWAY!
It's very evident when I don't think about a particular species when I have to look something up like the gourmand cannibalism, but seeing as though they have a collective pocket dimension where their stomach goes (at least that's where the logic got them in the show instead of being consumed food expelled in energy reflux), if cannibalism didn't implode the two gourmands like how bag of holding inception works then I suppose it's far better than *shudders* perk murk relationships. Got a whole 'house divided' 'alike in dignity' situation over here, Perkulet and Murktague having asses-
...You know what if I get a chance to think about gourmands in more detail I might turn that pocket dimension into a magic thing instead of a xenobiology thing that's just overall bullshit- comes free with potentially real cannibalism but like they've eaten 11 planets I think cannibalism just in general pales in comparison to what they could do-
Well, whatever cannibalism gourmands excuse and all the jokes they have to deal with about perk murk relationships being somehow much much worse, at least they don't get shoveled with 'violent bigots' that 'aren't smart enough to support their lifestyle without destroying their own planet' which well- I don't have any present headcanons as to why Encephalonus is on it's 4th edition yet but let me tell you, when cerebrocrutaceans found out the galvans lost their planet (admittedly to the Highbreed Invasion) and then galvans WEREN'T immediately assumed to have fucked up somewhere, you can bet that Dr Psychobos was one in the crowd that went absolutely livid.
#ask#anonymous#cerebrocrustacean#gourmand#ben 10#also i wasn't kidding when i said i had that toy he's kinda sitting on a bench that admittedly has a lot of other ben 10 toys#childhood stuff mostly but hey just means i've been into ben 10 for a while... but there's no diamondhead to speak of#<- joined ben 10 on complete dvd set of os + started af with a disc from a kids magazine with a season 1 sneak peak#anyway today i learnt that gourmand physiology has some bullshit in it so now that's potentially on my mutants and magic list to change#potentially since the revelation was a shotgun blast to the face of 'oh right yeah THAT'#maybe gourmands can be a little bit termite in addition to being amoeba and frogs- the queen being bigger than them would make sense#and then because peptos has been eaten like 11 times now we know what constantly keeps happening to gourmand's planet#not to be a killjoy nerd here but a quick solution to encephalonus iv's name is to be the 4th planet to the star encephalonus which-#would be how cerebrocrustaceans may consider naming the planets in their solar system#as opposed to coming up with more creative names like greek gods- anatomy- and dirt#and like it would make the stereotype just absolutely worse because cerebrocrustaceans don't even have a dead planet let alone 3#'why do you assume we destroyed our planet we're just the 4th planet in the solar system' they shout#but really i'm just positing that as my way of saying 'i haven't thought it through yet'#maybe they've been experimenting with artificial planets- the mega-ist of megastructures#it's just that the 4th one is the most recent and hopeful not inefficient model#maybe they have farmed up all the resources of their several planets- draining them dry like how billionares on earth want to#idk maybe it's both- they went too far with the first- tried to delay the second- decided to make a third but it broke- 4th time's the char#so far- at least#you know what i think i just answered my own question yeah i'll do that one#shortterm thinking got the first planet destroyed- forgot longterm thinking for second- made a shortterm solution the third-#and now the fourth time they're really hoping that history and longterm planning helps them this time around

It's the 12th of October which means that today the birthday letters by your one and only are coming back 😌
Today, we're going to celebrate a hare. He's, you read it correctly, it's a hare's day today. An artic hare one, to be exact.
Happy birthday Ivan 🥳
As always, here's the collage I made for him today 🥺
Tumblr media
Ah please, look at how adorable and cute he is 😭
Even with the memes he's a cutie patootie 🥺
The only thing that maybe I should explain is why I choose the pics with Dann instead of others but the reason is mostly that I loved these two pics in general 😅
They've been made during the first era I "witnessed" as a fan and seeing both my biases like this made me weak a little 😭
I don't need to explain any further, it's time for the letter now.
Ok, starting a letter for Ivan is not that simple to me. Actually every letter for every member is hard to write for me, because I'm always scared to write the same things other fans wrote but it's not the time to speak about this.
Ivan is the first Kingdom member who got my eye. Yes, I'm blunt this time. If I got into The Kingdom and I became so invested about them (even though I don't post that often about them right now but I SWEAR I'm still invested in them, trust me) it's because of Ivan. And also their music but Ivan is the final button, you know? The one who made me stan them.
Now, if I should explain how it happened, as always, the answer will be very complicated. If we're talking about his own album during HOK, I must say that his album has always been pretty high on my own top, although it's not in the top 3 (there are three other albums that just rotate and change their positions depending on my mood, before Ivan's. I'm a very complicated person), and Black Crown has been one of those epic songs that perfectly made what I wanted and craved for the group.
But it's not what caught my eye no. What caught my eye was how Ivan was acting on the MV. Seeing that young boy, looking even more younger than the others, with an almost ethereal look, staring in front of the camera with eyes full of rage and even hate, if you squint a little, was what caught me. Ivan was born to play the villain, the fascinating one, the one who has the same if not more fans than the protagonist. Sure, later we discovered that his character is more like an anti-hero but gosh, the goosebumps I got from Black Crown will never leave me when I see the MV again.
And his voice...oh my gosh his voice, don't let me speak about it or I'll cry. I know that he has been insecure at first, hence why he got few lines in the first songs, but MY GOSH now when he uses it I'm feeling a lot of emotions. You have no idea how I felt when he manages to publish his first cover ever. I was so proud and feeling emotional, both for the song's choice but also because he made it. He finally made it, he showcased his voice in the best way he could and I approved it with my entire heart.
But wait, I know you're wondering if I like his personality off stage too, hehe. But the answer will be obvious: yes. Sometimes I wonder if I have a magnet or something because some of my biases always end up being the ones who say the most unhinged and funny things ever. And Ivan is one of them. Every time The Kingdom does a variety show content, there's a high percentage that Ivan will say something so unhinged that I'll end up smiling like an idiot. Or laughing like an idiot, it depends, haha.
But what I love the most is how he goes at parks. Whether it's an amusement park, a botanic garden or something else, Ivan always shows his best side. He's always excited, he always wants to try new things, even the scariest ones, he's always happy and, even when he doesn't get what he wants like the plushies in the claw machine, he always lets that rage off of him quickly. He always shows his true happiness through his smiles and sometimes I notice how he's incredibly gentle, whether in manners or how he speaks with Kingmakers through the camera. All of this is something that I truly love.
Dear Ivan, I think you noticed by this letter that I really wish the best for you. If I became a Kingmaker it's especially for you, I wouldn't be in this fandom if your way to interpret a character never caught my eyes (or maybe yes but probably I wouldn't have been this invested, hahaha). There have been moments where I rooted for you as if you were part of my family and, sometimes, I saw you as a little brother doing his best for finding his place in the world. Maybe it's my big sister side talking right now, but, even if I'm far away, I'm always cheering for you and hoping for the best for you.
My birthday wish for you is that this year you'll always find new places to explore and find excitement while visiting them. I hope you'll go to many amusement parks with the others and you'll have fun. I hope I can see that wonderful and beautiful smile of yours, truly one of a kind. And that you'll keep being a kind and gentle soul, like I know you are.
Happy birthday, my arctic hare 🐇❄️

Choosing the Right Web Outsourcing Company: Key Factors to Consider
Finding the right web outsourcing company can dramatically improve your digital strategy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The right partner helps you scale faster, access specialized skills, and stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market.
Tumblr media
This article will guide you through the essential criteria to evaluate when selecting a reliable IT outsourcing solution. You'll discover how to assess technical capabilities, communication practices, security measures, and cultural alignment, ensuring you make an informed, strategic decision for your business.
Why Businesses Turn to Web Outsourcing Services
Growing Demand for IT Outsourcing Solutions
Companies of all sizes are increasingly turning to web outsourcing services to reduce operational costs and gain access to global talent.
Core Benefits of a Web Outsourcing Company
Reduces development costs
Provides access to skilled professionals
Speeds up project timelines
Offers flexibility and scalability
Outsourcing is no longer just about cutting expenses; it's a growth strategy.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Web Outsourcing Company
1. Define Your Business Objectives
Before partnering with any web outsourcing company, clearly outline your goals. Are you looking to develop a new application, redesign your website, or manage infrastructure?
2. Evaluate Technical Expertise
Assess the company's skills across various technologies. Look for certifications, tech stack diversity, and experience delivering scalable IT outsourcing solutions.
Questions to Ask:
What technologies do they specialize in?
Have they handled projects similar to yours?
3. Check Their Portfolio and Case Studies
A reliable outsourcing partner should provide detailed case studies. Review them to evaluate project outcomes, industries served, and their adaptability to different client needs.
4. Verify Communication and Project Management Tools
Communication is the backbone of any successful outsourcing relationship.
Key Aspects:
Time zone compatibility
Language proficiency
Use of tools like Slack, Jira, or Trello
5. Ensure Data Security and IP Protection
Choose a web outsourcing company that adheres to strict data security protocols. They should comply with international standards such as ISO 27001 or GDPR.
Look for:
NDA policies
Secure development environments
Data encryption measures
6. Understand Their Pricing Structure
Transparency in pricing is critical. Make sure the cost structure aligns with your budget without hidden fees.
Popular Models:
Fixed-price
Time and materials
Dedicated team
7. Review Client Testimonials and Reputation
Client feedback provides direct insights into a company's reliability, quality, and responsiveness.
Where to Look:
Google reviews
Clutch.co
LinkedIn recommendations
8. Assess Their Onboarding Process
A smooth onboarding process ensures quicker alignment and less downtime.
Components to Evaluate:
Initial discovery sessions
Project scoping
Team introductions
Comparing In-House vs. Web Outsourcing Services
When comparing in-house development with web outsourcing services, consider the following distinctions:
Cost: In-house teams require salaries, benefits, and tools, making them expensive. Outsourcing offers predictable and lower pricing.
Time to Hire: Hiring internally can take weeks or months. Outsourcing allows immediate access to talent.
Skill Variety: Internal teams may lack diverse expertise. Outsourcing provides access to specialists across multiple domains.
Scalability: Scaling an internal team is slow and costly. Outsourcing allows you to scale quickly based on project needs.
Risk Management: In-house offers more direct oversight. Outsourcing relies on contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics for accountability.
Red Flags to Watch Out For
Overpromising and Under-Delivering
Be cautious if a vendor promises unrealistic delivery timelines without understanding your requirements.
Lack of Transparency
Avoid companies unwilling to disclose processes, team capabilities, or pricing.
Poor Online Presence
A reputable IT outsourcing solution provider will have an informative, updated website and a visible digital footprint.

Can you share client references?
What does your typical onboarding process look like?
What security protocols do you follow?
Best Practices for a Successful Outsourcing Partnership
Set Clear KPIs and Milestones
Define your expectations early. Track delivery with weekly updates and performance benchmarks.
Maintain Open and Frequent Communication
Regular check-ins, progress reports, and video calls help avoid misalignment.

Getting Started with AOSP: Build Custom Android Solutions
Want to see what it takes to build your own Android-based system? Regardless of whether you want to use custom hardware or embedded software, AOSP delivers a complete and adaptable resource. We’ll go over AOSP, its benefits, drawbacks and why it is slowly being adopted by smartphones, IoT devices and automotive platforms.
Tumblr media
What is AOSP (Android Open Source Project)?
The Android Open Source Project is a repository of source code and documentation used to build the core Android operating system. It's open-source, meaning developers, OEMs, and businesses can freely access, modify, and build upon the platform to create custom Android distributions.
While AOSP contains the base OS, it does not include Google’s proprietary apps and services (like Gmail, Google Play, and Maps)—those are part of Google Mobile Services (GMS), which requires a license. AOSP represents the raw and adaptable side of Android, giving developers control over features, UI, and performance.
Why Developers and OEMs Choose AOSP
High Customizability
One of the biggest benefits of AOSP is its deep customization capabilities. Developers can tweak system behavior, design new UIs, and tailor Android for specific hardware or use cases, such as kiosks, tablets, or IoT devices.
No Licensing Costs
Since AOSP is free, it’s ideal for companies aiming to build custom Android-based products without relying on Google’s ecosystem. This is especially helpful for industries like healthcare, education, or defense, where Google services might not be required or allowed.
Hardware Flexibility
AOSP allows adaptation across a wide range of hardware—from smartphones and tablets to embedded systems, automotive solutions, wearables, and industrial IoT devices. This makes it a top choice for OEMs and BSP providers.
Strong Developer Community
With thousands of contributors, documentation, forums, and GitHub repos, AOSP offers rich community support. This collective innovation drives constant improvement and makes troubleshooting and development smoother.
Key Challenges of AOSP
Despite its strengths, AOSP comes with its own set of challenges:
No Native Google Apps
Devices using AOSP without GMS won’t have access to the Google Play Store or essential apps like YouTube, Gmail, and Google Maps. Licensing GMS is necessary for these features, unlike in closed ecosystems like iOS, where services are pre-integrated.
Hardware Compatibility
When building custom Android BSPs, developers often need to work on hardware abstraction layers (HALs), drivers, and kernels to ensure full compatibility with chipsets and peripherals—something that requires deep embedded expertise.
OS Fragmentation
Since anyone can fork AOSP, there’s significant fragmentation across Android devices, which can complicate update cycles and security patching. Closed-source systems like iOS maintain consistency but sacrifice flexibility.
Comparing AOSP to Other Platforms
iOS
Pros: Controlled environment, seamless hardware-software integration.
Cons: Limited developer freedom; closed source prevents OS-level customizations.
Other Linux-Based OSs (e.g., Tizen, KaiOS)
Pros: Designed for specific devices like feature phones or smart TVs.
Cons: Limited community support, fewer apps, and low flexibility compared to AOSP.
Market Forecast: Why AOSP is the Future
Dominance in Emerging Markets
Android, powered by AOSP, leads in affordability and reach. Custom builds allow for cost-effective smartphones tailored for budget-conscious regions like Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Rise of Android Automotive & Embedded Systems
With AOSP at its core, Android Automotive is gaining traction in vehicles. Similarly, embedded devices, kiosks, and industrial IoT systems benefit from lightweight, modular AOSP deployments.
Tailored Enterprise & Industry Solutions
Companies are creating Android-based devices for education, healthcare, logistics, and retail. These devices are powered by custom Android BSPs built on AOSP, offering greater control, security, and reliability.
IoT & Wearables Growth
From smartwatches to home hubs, AOSP’s flexibility makes it the go-to OS for IoT. Although Google shifted focus from Android Things, developers still rely on AOSP for headless devices and custom builds in the IoT space.
Getting Started with AOSP
To explore AOSP, start by visiting Google’s official repositories and AOSP documentation. Participate in forums like XDA Developers, Reddit, and GitHub discussions to find solutions and engage with the broader developer ecosystem.
Looking for an experienced team to help you build, port, or customize AOSP for your embedded product?
At Silicon Signals, we specialize in Android BSP development, AOSP customization, driver integration, and OS porting for a wide range of hardware platforms. From Android 14 BSPs to fully tailored Android stacks for industrial and commercial devices—we’ve got you covered.

I had an issue working from home where opening certain .pdf files and scrolling down would lag out the computer I was remoting into so badly it would hard crash that computer *and* my local computer. Someone would have to walk to my desk at the office and power cycle the computer there.
Put up multiple tickets where I got back "that doesn't happen when I open the PDF on my computer" and they would close the ticket.
Eventually convinced an IT guy to let me show him the problem. He remotes into my computer and I have him open the file and scroll down. It proceeds to lag out and crash my remote computer, my local computer, and the IT guy's computer.
I have rarely felt so vindicated at work.
