I doubt this'll get far enough to reach anyone who might have anything kicking around but yelling into the void has worked before (e.g. Supernatural, The X-Files, bonus X-Files):
Back in June 2024 TV Writing added a nice little set of 12 Xena: Warrior Princess scripts.
I made the four scripts Cousin Liz shared many years ago into pdfs and sent them to TV Writing, they were added in October 2024.
In December I stumbled on a new upload of the 2008 Photobucket images of "The God You Know" shared by LadyKate63 and made the draft where all of the page numbers were visible into a pdf. I sent that along with the first and last of season one to TV Writing:
Xena Warrior Princess 1x01 - Sins of the Past (READ NOW)
Xena Warrior Princess 1x24 - Is There a Doctor in the House (READ NOW)
Xena Warrior Princess 6x12 - The God You Know (READ NOW)
Finally, my question:
In celebration of the pilot first airing on 13 March 1995, is there anyone out there who still has any of the Creation Entertainment scripts from Xena: Warrior Princess kicking around that they'd be willing to email* to TV Writing, XenaGabrielle, and/or me?
Update 02/23/2025:
We're up to 42 Xena scripts, 6 Hercules (crossover episode) scripts, and 3 Xena outlines/beat sheets!
Beat Sheets, Outlines, Misc. Unproduced:
Xena: Warrior Princess 2x00 - The Last Days of Socrates (Unproduced Episode Outline)
Xena: Warrior Princess 4x07 - Locked Up and Tied Down (Outline)
Xena: Warrior Princess 6x11 - Dangerous Prey (Beat Sheet)
Xena: Warrior Princess 6x00 - Fallen (Unproduced Episode)
*If you send any you'd be willing to share directly to TV Writing he won't tell who donated what (e.g. less than a month after he added almost all of the remaining the latest drafts of the Supernatural collection, someone scanned and emailed Supernatural 6x01 and he hasn't shared who donated it to me, one of the original lunatics who started building that collection in 2019 and retired the project in 2024).
**The owner of XenaGabrielle will also change the contributor info to me, when I cold email fan collectors working on a public script collection I use the old project account.

Re Jamie and issues with foods - i barely remember him eating in Cannon
Only times I can think is jamie not eating cake with everyone in 1x2 taking roy literally and telling him he doesn't like scones in 1x10 picking at his food at the restaurant in s 3 and not being able to eat when he was sad in late s 3
So I can see it
I don't think I mentioned it in the original post because it was getting pretty long, but I was thinking of a lot of the same examples! For me, it falls into the headcanon category where I don't necessarily think it was intended by the creators but it is an interpretation (though obviously not the only one) that fits pretty well with what we're shown in canon. Also I'm in editing hell with the first chapter of my thesis and massively procrastinating, so here's a graph I made about it (the X represents the headcanon):

I hope you don't mind me asking. But how do you create PDF files that you can search through them? Your method is so unique, so I'm curious.
Hi anon!
After I scan a book and have a PDF saved, it can’t be searched. It has to be edited and made that way. So I open it up in Adobe Acrobat. There’s a tool called “Optimize PDF” which has a lot of different features you can fine tune the settings of but essentially what it does is:
Straighten out the text to be perfectly horizontal and level (I try to scan two pages at a time then crop, so raw scans can be a little wonky)
Recognizes the text on the page (which allows key word search, highlighting, commenting, everything you can do with a word document)
Reduces file size (I scan at 300 or 400 dpi, which makes a sharp image, but a huge file, so this compresses it to be easier to store and share)
I find this aspect of scanning to be very valuable, personally, as it can make researching and referring back much easier. Even though I’ve already read these books, searching through for a specific scene is vastly more efficient when you can pinpoint the exact sentence based on a remembered phrase. It’s also nice to be able to highlight those to emphasize a point. Furthermore by reducing the file size it’s much easier to share the information with others. I’m able to attach files to messages without going over limits and I can open the books right from the google drive mobile app wherever I go.
Like if I’m out and about wondering just how much Cherith Baldry loves Kay, I can crack open Exiled From Camelot and do this
Tumblr media
2,387 mentions of Kay? Yeah. He’s kind of a big deal. ;^)
But real talk accessibility is an important aspect of my archival work. I try to provide the best version of a scan I can with my limited resources because I don’t know that the book will survive otherwise. Ruth PM Lehmann has passed away, so scanning Blessed Bastard, which only had a limited printing to begin with and now lacks a beneficiary, felt significant to me. The same goes for Peter Hanratty’s The Book of Mordred, which is an English translation of a German story and hasn’t been in print for decades. As for medlit, La Tavola Ritonda and my janky scanner tested my will to live but it ended up being so worth it to see everyone’s thoughts on it! I couldn’t find PDFs of these texts available anywhere, so I wanted to make sure they were preserved in the most accessible state possible for everyone to enjoy.
Anyway I hope that answers your question. I’ve got two books on the way I’m going to scan next and looking forward to sharing! :^) Take care.<3

I saw that you use a tablet, a desktop, and paper notes. How do you conciliate those notes?
Is there a mechanism of making primary notes on one resource and then passing those notes to other while reviewing them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi! thanks so much for asking! here are my favorite methods for sharing notes between devices :). i personally have apple devices so i can fairly easily airdrop and sync things between devices, but i also frequently work at the library desktop computers where i can't do that! so here's my tips and tricks for sharing notes between devices
for context: i've been mostly doing digital notetaking recently, but i also like to scan my paper notes as well!
i'm going to be dividing this post into 2 methods! (there will be some overlap). syncing already written notes and syncing notes (in progress) between devices
Tumblr media
for already written notes:
the first step i would take is export your notes as a pdf or any other file type. if they're handwritten try going into your notes app (for ios) or downloading a pdf scanner app for your phone! if your notes are digital check the sharing options in your app to see if there's anything about "exporting".
personally, i like to use either discord or notion. i have created a discord server with only myself that i use just for sharing links/files/anything between devices! i like discord because there's apps for pc, mac, tablets, and phones; and even a web app! discord is really nice and fast, and you can make different channels (as pictured below) for organization. as long as your file size isn't too big, you should be fine.
Tumblr media
my second app i like to use is notion! notion is such a beast in itself, but i like to use it to upload files and images and links! below are two ways i have used it: to upload pdfs/files, and to upload goodnotes (my notetaking app) links to the pages i'm writing on! similar to discord, notion has apps for all devices, but it also works great just by itself on the website (no app required)! it's really great to access it from all my devices.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
another way you could share your notes on different devices is through the cloud! (yes, discord and notion are both through the cloud). google drive, microsoft onedrive, icloud storage, etc. are great tools that you can use to upload files and see on multiple devices. i personally like discord and notion more, just because they're already apps i frequently use, but if you can't get either one cloud-based storage platforms are also a great idea! they definitely have more security than discord or notion, because your files may be at risk of being deleted!
for the purposes of sharing notes to reference on another device when writing an essay, or something of similar vain, i really love discord and/or notion and they both work great!
Tumblr media
for syncing notes in real time:
pretty similar to the last one, i would say notion or google docs (or microsoft word on the web i believe has similar functionality, or onenote, anything similar!)
if you want to be writing notes on one device and have them sync up quickly on another - i think any word processing software is the best bet for you.
both notion and google docs you can access them on any device, and/or on their websites too!
google docs is a lot more straightforward, but since notion is so powerful it provides a lot of flexibility for your notes! here's an (old) example of notes i've taken on notion. (i personally really like how easy it is to make columns!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i hope this helped a little bit! please let me know if you have any more questions :)
also! notetaking is very much an individual thing, if something works for me and doesn't work for you - that's okay! we're all learning and just have to figure out what's best for ourselves.

How Legal Teams Use JavaScript Barcode SDK to Organize Case Files Efficiently
Every Monday morning, I used to dread the mountain of case files piling up on my desk. Each folder packed with paperwork, many tagged with barcodes, but no simple way to quickly scan, sort, or retrieve them. Legal teams deal with tons of documents daily, and disorganised files can slow down even the best lawyers. That’s why when I discovered the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK, it was a game changer for how we handle case files.
If you’re part of a legal team struggling with managing piles of scanned documents, PDFs, and physical files, this tool will speak your language.
Why Legal Teams Need a Better Way to Organize Case Files
In legal work, every second counts. When a deadline looms or you’re preparing for a court date, fumbling through folders wastes valuable time. Barcodes on case files are common, but traditional scanners either require clunky hardware or software that’s slow, unreliable, or too complex for daily use.
Legal teams need a lightweight, reliable barcode scanning solution that fits seamlessly into existing workflows — preferably something that works right in a browser or web app without extra hardware.
How I Found the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK
I was hunting for a barcode scanning tool that:
Works on desktop and mobile browsers.
Can handle damaged or tiny barcodes on legal documents.
Supports batch scanning to speed up filing.
Is easy for our staff to use, with minimal training.
The VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK for Developers Royalty Free popped up in a developer forum. I liked that it’s designed for web apps and works purely in JavaScript, no extra installs or plugins needed. That means we could build a simple web page or integrate it into our internal case management system without hassle.
What the SDK Does — A Quick Overview
This SDK turns your browser into a powerful barcode scanner that can:
Scan 1D and 2D barcodes (think QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417, EAN, and more).
Use device cameras to scan barcodes live or from uploaded images.
Work in low light or with damaged barcodes — common problems when scanning older legal files.
Perform batch and multi-scanning, so you can scan many barcodes in one go.
Provide real-time augmented reality (AR) feedback for instant scanning confirmation.
Be customised with a ready-to-use user interface or deeply fine-tuned via API.
Who Should Use This JavaScript Barcode SDK?
This tool is a perfect fit if you:
Are part of a legal team handling many physical or scanned case files.
Manage inventory or logistics related to legal evidence or materials.
Develop or maintain web apps for document management in legal or corporate environments.
Need a fast, reliable, and web-based barcode scanning solution without bulky hardware.
Want to improve accuracy and speed when tracking legal documents or assets.
How I Used It to Streamline Legal Document Management
Our legal office manages hundreds of case files every week. Each folder has barcodes, but before, scanning was a slow, manual process involving desktop scanners and standalone apps.
Using the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK, I set up a simple web page where staff could:
Open the page on any device (laptop, tablet, or phone).
Use the camera to scan barcodes quickly.
Batch scan multiple barcodes in one session.
Automatically add scanned info to our document tracking system.
Key features I found incredibly helpful:
Batch Scanning — Massive Time Saver
Instead of scanning files one by one, our team now scans multiple barcodes rapidly without closing or restarting the scanner interface. For example, when checking in new case files, this sped up the process from hours to minutes. The batch scanning mode is reliable even with barcodes close together on thick legal folders.
Robust Scanning Under Tough Conditions
Legal files often have worn or dirty barcodes, and poor lighting in storage rooms made scanning frustrating. This SDK’s AI-powered scanning engine handled these scenarios like a champ — damaged or partially obscured barcodes were still recognised without fail.
Real-Time AR Feedback
Seeing instant visual cues that a scan was successful meant less second-guessing and re-scans. The AR overlays guided our staff, especially newcomers, helping them scan accurately on the first try. It also made the process more interactive and less tedious.
How This SDK Compares to Other Tools
Before using this SDK, we tried some popular open-source barcode scanners and standalone apps. They either required complicated setups, weren’t reliable with damaged codes, or didn’t support batch scanning.
The VeryUtils SDK stood out for:
Cross-platform browser compatibility — works on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari on desktop and mobile.
No hardware dependencies — uses built-in cameras, no extra devices.
Customization options — the ready-to-use UI allowed us to quickly deploy, while the API gave room for deeper tweaks.
Developer-friendly support — excellent docs, samples, and quick responses helped me get the tool production-ready in days.
Why I’d Recommend This to Legal Teams
If your team handles piles of legal documents with barcodes, this SDK will streamline your entire filing and tracking workflow.
It saves tons of time scanning and sorting files.
Cuts down scanning errors with smart AI.
Works anywhere on any device — perfect for remote or on-site staff.
Fits into your existing web applications easily.
I’d highly recommend the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK to any legal professional or developer building document management tools. It’s practical, powerful, and designed with real-world needs in mind.

How to Use JavaScript SDK to Automatically Extract Barcode Data from PDFs
Every time I had to handle batches of PDFs containing barcodes, it felt like a slow, tedious slog. I remember staring at endless pages, wishing I could just pull the barcode data automatically without jumping through hoops. If you’ve ever wrestled with clunky scanners, slow software, or unreliable barcode readers that fumble in low light or with damaged codes, you’re not alone. Extracting barcode data from PDFs used to be a major pain, especially when accuracy and speed were critical.
That’s exactly why I turned to the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK for Developers Royalty Free. This tool changed the game for me by letting me seamlessly scan and extract barcode data from PDFs using just JavaScript — no bulky hardware or complex setups. If you’re a developer or someone who needs to automate barcode extraction from PDFs or images on web apps, this SDK deserves a close look.
What Makes VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK Stand Out?
I stumbled on this SDK while researching ways to automate barcode scanning in my web projects. Right away, I was impressed by its AI-powered scanning engine that picks up only the barcodes I need, regardless of messy environments or damaged labels. Plus, it’s fast — I mean, real-time scanning speeds that keep up with modern business workflows.
Designed for developers, this SDK is versatile for all sorts of use cases:
Inventory and warehouse management systems that need batch and multi scanning
Mobile POS apps scanning QR codes or product barcodes on the fly
Logistics and last-mile delivery services requiring quick, accurate scans even in tough conditions
Retail applications needing reliable barcode reads in low light or with worn labels
The SDK supports over 30 barcode types including QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417, EAN, and many more. What’s even cooler is how you can plug it into web apps and PWAs, making cross-platform integration a breeze.
Key Features That Saved Me Hours
Here’s where the rubber meets the road. After integrating the SDK, three features really stood out in my workflow:
Context-Aware AI Scanning Engine
This isn’t your average barcode scanner. The AI engine intelligently focuses on relevant barcodes, ignoring clutter or irrelevant marks. In one project, I had PDFs with multiple barcodes and printed text mixed in. The AI helped me capture only the exact codes I needed — no more manual filtering or errors.
Multiple Barcode Scanning and AR Overlays
When scanning multiple items, I could use batch scanning to grab several barcodes in rapid succession without stopping or restarting the interface. Plus, the SDK supports augmented reality (AR) overlays, which means users get real-time visual feedback during scanning — like seeing highlights around detected barcodes. This made it way easier to confirm the scan’s accuracy on the spot.
Fully Automated Label Scanning
One killer feature is the ability to scan both barcodes and printed text simultaneously. This sped up data capture for complex labels where info is spread across codes and text fields. For instance, I integrated this in a retail inventory system that needed to grab SKU codes plus expiry dates printed nearby — all in one go.
How I Integrated the SDK in My Web App
The setup was surprisingly straightforward, which is a huge plus if you’re a developer juggling deadlines.
Step 1: Add the library via CDN or npm.
Step 2: Choose the barcode types relevant to your use case (30+ symbologies available).
Step 3: Hook up event listeners to capture scan results and feed them into your app’s logic.
With the Ready-To-Use UI (RTU UI) component, I had a working scanner in less than an hour. Customising the UI to fit my app’s look and feel was a breeze — no heavy coding required. For more advanced control, you can dive into the API and build your own UI components.
Why This SDK Beats Other Barcode Scanners
I’ve tried other barcode SDKs before, but many had some serious drawbacks:
Poor performance in low light or with damaged codes
Limited barcode symbology support
Slow or laggy scanning, frustrating end users
Complex integration processes with little documentation
The VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK tackled all those pain points head-on:
It excels in challenging environments — scanning damaged, tiny, or distant barcodes with high accuracy.
Supports a broad range of barcode types, covering almost every business need.
The AI-driven approach means fewer false reads and faster results.
Comprehensive docs, code samples, and excellent support made development smooth.
For anyone building web or mobile apps needing barcode scanning, it’s hands down a better option.
Real-World Use Cases That Rock with This SDK
Here are some scenarios where I saw major wins using this SDK:
Retail Stock Management: Employees scan multiple barcodes quickly during restocking, with AR feedback confirming each scan.
Logistics & Warehousing: Workers use multi and batch scanning modes to process large shipments efficiently.
Healthcare: Fast, error-free capture of medication barcodes and label info under tricky lighting.
Last-Mile Delivery: Drivers find and confirm packages using “Find & Pick” mode, reducing errors and delays.
If you work in any of these industries, this SDK can seriously reduce manual labour and improve data accuracy.
Wrap-Up: Why I Recommend the VeryUtils JavaScript Barcode Scanner SDK
If you want to ditch the headache of manual barcode extraction from PDFs or web-based scans, this SDK is a game-changer.
It solves tough problems like:
Scanning barcodes in low light or damaged conditions
Handling multiple barcodes quickly and accurately
Extracting barcode and text data simultaneously without errors
I’d recommend this to any developer or business dealing with automatic barcode data extraction from PDFs or web apps. The flexibility, speed, and reliability it offers are hard to beat.
