To preemptively try and answer some questions that often come up, we would like to provide a bit of information ahead of time!

If you have a question not covered in this post, feel free to send an ask to the blog or ask in the server Q and A channel.

What exactly is an exchange?

Kinda like a secret Santa, is the best way I can describe it. Based on your preferred pairings/ships, and what you offer (fanart or fanfic), you are paired up with an individual that has requested a pairing/ship for you to create, as someone else will create one for you.

You will create at least one (1) fanwork (referred to as "Assignments") and in exchange, someone else will create one for you.

You are allowed to create more than one fan work for other people (referred to as "Treats") preferably once your Assignment is complete.

This exchange is anonymous

Part of the fun of this exchange is not knowing who, or what, you will get. You may choose to receive only fanart or fanfic, but you may not know who is creating it for you. You will obviously know who you are creating for.

Do I need an AO3 account?

Yes. This exchange is held through Archive of Our Own and as such, participants must have an account to take part

What if I can't complete my assignment?

Hey, we get it. Sometimes life happens. Simply let a mod know and we'll send out a note to creators who have signed up as Pinch Hitters. No harm, no foul. Hopefully you'll join us again for the next one!
