英語の文は基本的に「語順が命」
■ 英語の基本語順(語の並び方)
主語(S)+動詞(V)+目的語(O)+補語(C)+修飾語(M)
すべての文がこの順というわけではありませんが、この並びを土台にして文が構成されます。
■ 英語の5つの基本文型
① 第1文型(SV):主語+動詞
→ 主語が動作するだけの文。
例:Birds fly.(鳥は飛ぶ)
※動詞は自動詞
② 第2文型(SVC):主語+動詞+補語
→ 主語の状態や正体を補語が説明する文。
例:She is a doctor.(彼女は医者だ)
※be動詞や状態を示す動詞が多い
③ 第3文型(SVO):主語+動詞+目的語
→ 動詞の対象(目的語)をとる文。
例:I eat sushi.(私は寿司を食べる)
※動詞は他動詞
④ 第4文型(SVOO):主語+動詞+間接目的語+直接目的語
→ 「誰に何を」を一緒に伝える文。
例:She gave me a gift.(彼女は私にプレゼントをくれた)
⑤ 第5文型(SVOC):主語+動詞+目的語+補語
→ 目的語がどうなったか、何かを示す補語がつく。
例:They made him captain.(彼らは彼をキャプテンにした)
■ まとめ(構文の見分け方)
• S(主語):だれが?
• V(動詞):どうした?
• O(目的語):何を?誰を?
• C(補語):どんな人?どんな状態?
• M(修飾語):いつ?どこで?どのように?
■ 判断のコツ
1. 動詞が自動詞か他動詞かをまず見極める(目的語があるか)
2. **補語(C)**は、主語(S)や目的語(O)を説明しているかで判断
3. 文の意味が「誰が、どうした、何を(誰を)、どんな風に、どこで、いつ」になるように構造を確認
