Bob/Sentry/Void facts to spur ideas for fics!

I've been reading quite a few Sentry comics after Thunderbolts came out and I just wanted to share a bunch of things that happen that might give you guys some ideas for your own stories!

The list is below the cut!

Bob has a superpowered Corgi named Normie

Although the breed of the dog is pretty vague in the original 616 universe, it's much more clear in other iterations that Normie is a Corgi! Normie is superpowered just like Bob and even has his own superhero name, Watchdog.

Out of the three, Sentry is the most affectionate

It's very clear in Sentry's 2005 run that Sentry is the most affectionate of the three. Although Bob does love his wife (and the Void has very complicated feelings about her), the Sentry is the one seen being the most confident in expressing his love for her.

The Void taunts Bob... a LOT

This is an obvious one, but the Void oftentimes tries to dig deep into Bob's skin, especially about his wife and mentality. Despite this, the Void seems to be the side of Bob that can see things for what they truly are and is not as easily manipulated as Bob is.

Another thing to note is that in the 2005 run, Bob has his own room where he can seemingly talk to the void face-to-face without needing to unleash him.

The Void has a... complicated relationship with Bob's wife

Like said before, the Void often taunts Bob about his wife, Lindy. In later comics he even wants her dead. Despite this, when under a Skrull invasion, the Void is the one to save Lindy, saying that "Bob couldn't handle it and ran away" as Sentry left the earth thinking that the invasion was his fault. Unfortunately it's not touched on again, but it definitely hints that despite his taunts, he still cares for Lindy just as Bob does.

Bob's weakness isn't just the Void, it's his love

As one of the very few superheroes with a wife, many villains often try to take advantage of this fact to hurt him. Both times that Lindy has died (which I will get to that later) it was done in order to trigger an extreme response from Bob in order to further their plans and make him suffer. One such times Bob had grown so enraged that he had ripped Ares, the god of war, in half. In the other Ms. Marvel had to knock him out before he had killed Ultron.

Another thing to note is that despite all the problems that him and his wife undergo, and even despite her betrayals and fear of him, Bob still can't shake his love for her.

The Sentry has the power to revive those that he touches

After Lindy's first death, Sentry had unknowingly revived Lindy at just his touch. When she awoke, she had no recollection of her death, believing to have only been asleep the entire night.

Bob tends to lean more towards being the Sentry rather than himself

Bob unfortunately doesn't feel as needed as his superpowered persona and unfortunately tends to lean towards being him in most situations. Although it causes more risks with the Void, it still makes him feel needed and important.

The Hulk is one of the very few that Sentry can both call a friend and go toe-to-toe with

The Hulk was one of the very few heroes that remembered Sentry after the world forgot about him, resulting in both being good friends. After Hulk goes on a worldwide rampage during World War Hulk, it is Sentry's job to stop him, and the two fight for so long that they eventually revert back to their original personas.

The Void has the ability to possess people

During a fight between Loki and Dr. Strange, the Void takes over Strange and eventually possesses him after Strange releases him in fear of Loki winning.

bob reynolds headcannons!

seems shy but would definitely throw some sarcastic comments such as "oh really?" at john whenever he gets the opportunity.

(like when he smirked in that one scene where yelena was separating them from each other before they started fighting in the vault).

when he's in love, he's in LOVE!

his love language is definitely words of affirmation or physical touch. his trope is extremely close friends to lovers because he has difficulty connecting to people because of his trauma and unconsciously pushing himself away from people but when he allows himself to, he's by their side 24/7. he could be sitting next to the person he's in a relationship with in complete silence, not moving a muscle, and he's having the time of his life (he does, however, also like physical contact).

valentina once installed a alarm (almost like they are in cartoons with the red lights and loud wailing sound) that would go off whenever a possible life threatening or urgent mission occurred but after the multiple report/threats from yelena about how he kept harshly flinching and panicking whenever it went off, it was removed.

as shown on the medical report in the film, he dropped out after 8th grade, so he has difficulty understanding all the new technology in the tower.

this then leads to bucky sitting down with him from time to time explaining how everything works in case of emergency or if he just gets curious. he does try his hardest to improve his education himself too, he creates a plan to read at least 5 books every month.

since he has a lot of time to waste when 'the avengerz' are out, he eventually gains some sort of hyper fixation to keep the boredom at bay.

it got quite difficult, though, when an attempt at something new ended up in him locking himself in his room for an entire day, his delusions of grandeur getting the best of him. as long as the others are certain that he's not escalating hazardously, they allow him to mentally recover, giving meek smiles and slight pats on his back when he slowly creeps out of his room and to his special seat at 2pm the next day.

if there's a built-in gym in the tower, he will definitely use it.

he has no intention of getting stronger or building up on muscle, he can definitely fight (as scene in the chicken scene) but he prefers to use it late at night before he goes to sleep or if he's ever woken up in the middle of the night from a nightmare/flashback. when he's by himself, he freely uses the punching bag, letting all his emotional frustration out since he can't show it much without risking an appearance from void or sentry.

he is emotionally in touch, but he finds it difficult to open up, his idea of him 'joking around' is basically him just degrading himself without even realizing it.

Okay okay how about the bolts all deciding to get a matching thunderbolt tattoo?? It's the same general design but they each choose where they get it/how big it is:

Yelena: not sure why but I feel like she's the type of girl to get a tattoo behind/just below her ear. I think it'd look great on her, and she'd like that it's subtle but still definitely noticeable, especially when she wears her hair slicked back. Obviously because of the location it'd be a smaller tattoo, but I think it'd be pretty decently sized for one at that spot.

Ava: idk if her powers/condition would make it hard for her to be tattooed but we're gonna say they figure it out. Since she's mostly covered by her suit, I think she'd want it somewhere she can see it. I imagine on one of her fingers, either her index or ring finger. (I know her suit includes full gloves rn but maybe she'd start wearing fingerless gloves?? Idk, if that's not viable then maybe she'd get it on her neck or match with Yelena, that'd be cute too)

Bucky: I think he would think it's ridiculous that after all these years alive he's never wanted a tattoo (he had enough body modification for one man, thank you very much) yet these idiots (affectionate) have managed to convince him to get one. So he goes for a traditional location, but one he can see because he does in fact want to be able to look at the tattoo even if he's pretending to be reluctant about it. I imagine he gets it on his bicep, bigger than the girls', but not too loud/obnoxious.

Bob: in my headcanon this happens before Bob figures out controlling Sentry/void so he's still kinda in "random guy who hangs out with the new avengers" mode and he doesn't think he deserves to be included in the matching tattoo plan. Of course the rest of the bolts completely reject this notion and insist that he has to get one too. So he goes for a smaller one in a more subtle location. I'm thinking his ankle, so he can hide it with socks when he's feeling self conscious, but then whenever he needs to feel comforted he can prop his ankle on his other knee and look at the tiny thunderbolt :')

John: for selfish reasons I want John to get a slutty tattoo lol, so if it was up to me I think he'd get it on his hip bone. But more realistically, I think he'd do something sentimental, and get it on his pec, over his heart. Dork. Or maybe a bit higher, on his collarbone, to be more subtle about his sentimental side. I do like the idea of him going for a location that's notoriously painful because he's tough and he can take it 😤 So the collar or hip bone would fit that idea.

Alexei: of course Alexei is so freaking excited about this idea and he goes and gets a gigantic tattoo of it right in the middle of his chest. Everyone is like "umm Lexei we were going for something more subtle..." And he's just like "THUNDERBOLTS!!"

Vivienne knows nothing about her birth parents- just that her mother was a joytoy that fell victim to some Tyger Claw goon, in more ways than one. She vaguely remembers being a child and being dragged from motel room to motel room by her mom. The memories of her mom are fuzzy, fading with age- but the memory of finding her body in a motel in Watson never really fades.

She stays in the Watson area after her mom is murdered, not that she has much of a choice. Viv stole a lot to get by as a child, pick-pocketing civilians and nabbing goods from food stands when vendors had their backs turned. She learns to defend herself through trial and error. Sometimes she wasn't as sneaky as she thought.

Vivienne has a preference for katanas as they were the first weapons she actually learns to wield. Her first blade was a souvenir from the first Claw she ever flat-lined. It's worth next to nothing but it's a prized possession.

She spends most of her life on the streets until she meets Jackie at 17, shortly after he leaves the Valentinos. [trust me this will be expanded on it hurts to think about now. they were friends for almost ten years before the heist, a bit longer than canon street kid v. they were also more than friends at some point.]

Vivienne and Jackie decide to start working together after they decide they're better off as friends. Jackie is under the impression that the idea to be friends is mutual (spoiler alert: it was not). He's just too important to her for those feelings to get in the way. She gets over it eventually. It just takes two years.

That being said, she's definitely not crazy about the idea of that shit happening again, so she becomes pretty closed off afterwards. She hooks up with mercs here and there, and although one in particular catches her eye, she often reminds herself that there are no good endings in Night City. [ehehehehe]

She loses herself in merc work after Jackie's passing, avoiding any real, meaningful relationships until she meets Panam. Her and the Aldecados help Viv realize (again) that she doesn’t have to do everything alone. [will be getting into this in the future also :3]

She's a huuuuge stoner. Prefers rolling up and keeping them in Evelyn's cigarette case for convenience. After the heist, she rolls up with tobacco leaves to shut Johnny the hell up. He bitches about it not being the same but she knows he loves the high. ("you're also less of a bitch when you're high." "i'm gonna kill us both if you don't shut up.") Post-chip, she does it to remember him.

Bob is touch starved part 4

Bob hardly slept all night after the card game. He doesn't drink; he's too prone to addictive vices and that way madness lies. But the nerves of the hand Yelena held are like live wires, and his skin is buzzing in a warm and pleasant way not unlike being under the influence, just much sweeter. Healthy. He's dazed thinking of the soft curl of her fingers between his, craving more. So he does something about that, and manages to quiet his mind enough to fall asleep afterward.

Bob sleeps on his side, waking up having crushed the spare king sized pillow to his chest under one bicep. It runs the length of his torso, squeezed between his thighs. He shifts a little, sucking air through his teeth as his erection throbs almost painfully against the fabric of his boxers.

Again already, huh? Either the super serum makes this new body ready for action in more ways than one, or...nah, fuck, who am I kidding, it's definitely Yelena.

He peels away his boxers and strokes himself, rutting against the pillow, driving himself crazy with the friction. Thinking of her, her hands on him, the whole time. Barely a minute till he completely unravels, biting down on the corner of the pillow to keep his strangled moan under control as he comes hard into his grip, spilling himself everywhere on the sheets.

He never remembered being this turned on by anything before. Then again, porn wasn't especially his thing, the hustle and fakeness of it. When it came to intimacy, to enjoying the idea of sex, Bob found out pretty quickly that he had to feel all or nothing about it. And he'd never found someone worth "all" till now. He didn't really care if that was weird. If that made him somehow less of a guy or whatever.

But Yelena, Yelena and he shared something deep. Intense. They were on something next level. He knew it since he decided to die that day, machine guns blazing. Knew it since she stepped into the pitch darkness of obliteration to find him. They had just met, yeah, but they were like this. Ready to do battle for each other.

Bob didn't know what being in love felt like before, but he was sure now it was like this.

Once he gets his breath back and cleans himself up, he pulls on a faded t-shirt and sweats and brushes his teeth. In the mirror, he catches a faint glimmer in his eyes. The Sentry lingering, sure, but also a little spark of life he thought was long ago dead inside him. He runs his tongue over his lips and tries a smile. Hi, Yelena. Hey, Yelena.

It's barely dawn when he pads out into the common room kitchen for a glass of water with ice. Doubtful a single one of the night owls was awake at this hour. But he smells coffee before he turns the corner.

And sees her. Sitting on the kitchen counter by the window, coffee mug in both hands. Dressed in short plaid pajama shorts, the kind with the tiny bow in front, in an oversized tee and no bra (of course no bra, Bob, jesus, she clearly just rolled out of bed). Her eyes were wide. His eyes were wider.

He does the panicked gaping thing before he settles on, "Helena." What the hell.

She scrunches up her brow at his run-together words. "Who's Helena?" Bob swallows, completely disarmed - she's so cute - before a smile quirks her mouth and she takes a sip of coffee. "Good morning to you, too, Bob."

He swings his arms a bit, fidgets with his hands, forgets what he was there for as she doesn't break eye contact. "How'd you sleep?" He asks.

"You know, pretty good. Like really good actually, for the first time in, uh, forever." Her thick Russian accent lowers, slows down in the way that makes him shiver. "How did...you sleep?"

She still hasn't looked away from him. And no matter how shy he feels, he doesn't pull his gaze away either, except to glance at the errant blonde tufts of her bedhead.

And then he just kind of says it. Because he's bad at being anything but honest with Yelena.

"I had a pillow to cuddle," he murmurs. "So that was nice."

He guesses she'll change the subject of sleep if she wants to. She takes a big gulp of coffee. Eyes on him. And briefly, on his mouth.

"You're a cuddler?" she asks, with a little nod.

"Oh, yeah."

They look at each other like they can't keep their hands off each other.

They haven't yet, of course. But Bob knows that once he does, he won't be able to stop.

okay so the sentryagent bug has burrowed into my brain and idk if i have the time to write a real fic of this idea but it WILL NOT LEAVE ME alone so here it is

in the early days of the thunderbolts new avengers living together in the tower, it's pretty awkward and quiet and everyone mostly keeps to their quarters. yelena makes some efforts to bring people together, mostly bob and ava since she's closest to them, and occasionally they might eat all together, or mostly all together

as time wears on, though, and they start going on missions and having real work to do, they begin to come out a bit more, hang in common areas, etc. john becomes closer with everyone, particularly ava and yelena, on missions just because of the proximity, but he's still pretty standoffish around bob. maybe because bob makes him feel uncomfortable or maybe because bob doesn't come on missions or maybe walker just feels generally unwelcome 24/7. but there's still a chill between them

yelena can sense this awkwardness, and maybe bob even confessed to her once or twice that he thinks john hates him, so she suggests that they work out together, to build camaraderie. reluctantly, john agrees. his main pastime is working out because of how much energy the serum gives him, and he's a bit annoyed that she wants him to give up his solitary time (which is coincidentally also the time he allows himself to feel a bit more emotion, because nobody is down in the gym except maybe bucky every so often, and he can funnel all of his frustrations into punching bags and ten-mile sprints instead of processing them)

he obviously knows bob is strong as shit when he's sentry, but bob-bob is a quiet mouse of a man, always swallowed up in loose sweaters and hair that falls into his face. john didn't get the peek of bob's abs that we did. all john knows is the soft-spoken wallflower. so when bob joins him in the gym and immediately launches into a couple dozen pull ups like it's nothing, john begins to realize he has no fucking clue what he's capable of

bob isn't a supersoldier, but john only just barely outpaces him, only has slightly better stamina, and their muscle definition is matched, and through it all bob just smiles at him with that big, irritating, dopey grin

as time goes on, they get more competitive. the desire to run as far, as fast as john, to lift as heavy, to get him pinned when they spar, nearly drives bob over the line into sentry-territory once or twice, but john does his best to pull back and give him a second to breathe when that happens. because, as much as bob can get him down to the mat one out of every three or four rounds, the sentry will win every time

and maybe someday john will give into his urge to provoke the sentry just for the euphoria of losing, of giving up

Thoughts regarding the Thunderbolts* credits scene under the cut

ETA: turned out to be a long rambling rant, you have been warned!

Tldr: Please don't be hateful to each other. Marvel is ultimately in it for the money, but your fellow fans are real people.

Okay, now I know that there is starting to be a bit of fandom discourse regarding the Sam and Bucky meeting that "didn't go well", the lawsuit, and the New Avengers.

Fine with me so long as it stays all in good fun. But before you decide which character is "right" or "wrong", and definitely before you go all in with the hate, remember that we don't know all sides yet. We don't know yet how the MCU is going to continue with this storyline, or if they even will, considering how many characters are going to be in Doomsday. It's possible that they just show up at a fight, nod at each other, and all fight together with everyone else, Endgame-style, without resolving anything.

But, sometimes, the facts in the comicbooks come into it, and the roster of the New Avengers, as found on Wikipedia, does not include most of the characters in Thunderbolts*. It includes Captain America and Sentry. But in the comics, team membership is more fluid. Members come and go. The idea that there can only be one team doesn't come up a lot. More often there might be a clash of who is the leader.

But the MCU is different. They need to have continuity, and the idea of belonging to a team, expressly telling a new member that "you are an Avenger now" has been given importance. So it is possible that the MCU does really want to make a thing out of this copywrite issue.

If the MCU goes that way, will the determining factor be that one team is backed by the government and one is not? If they try to re-hash the Accords debacle all over again, both Sam and Bucky were Team Cap, against the Accords. So would this bring them together, maybe under yet another name?

It seems to me that CA:BNW had a theme of proving yourself. And Thunderbolts* has a theme of found family. TFatWS, IMHO, had both themes.

With the mass amount of characters which have to be accommodated in Doomsday, I assume that if this is addressed at all, the theme will be more like the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I would certainly enjoy many long, character conflict driven scenes of Sam and Bucky, but I really don't see that happening in Doomsday.

If it is going to somehow be a major part of the storyline in Doomsday, it is possible that there will be some sort of twist that we can't possibly see coming at this point.

For instance, I thought that the whole point of the entire series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, was the end point, where Sam had decided that he could be Captain America without betraying his core identity, and that Bucky's core identity was a good man who could be accepted by other good people, not only Steve who knew him before he fell into the hands of Hydra. And I thought the final scene of them both together at a cookout with Sam's family and friends, where Bucky seemed to have been fully accepted, and was totally comfortable, was meant to show that they had each found what they were looking for in the support of the other, and that they were now in this superhero thing together. BUT then CA:BNW was released and Bucky was nowhere to be found. That made no sense, what WAS the point of TFatWS then?

BUT, they threw in a scene with a hug and an "I love you, buddy" which made me feel a little better about the situation. At least the good, supportive, friendship had survived and thrived, even if I still didn't understand why Bucky was campaigning for Congress instead of working with Sam. "Maybe it would become more clear in Thunderbolts*" I thought.

Well the joke was on me because no, if anything Thunderbolts*, with no mention or cameo of Sam whatsoever, only made things more confusing as far as the friendship between Sam and Bucky. And then Marvel really punched me in the gut with this argument between the two, and even a lawsuit being brought having to do with the team name.

So my point is, though argument and debate if respectful, are fine, and supporting your favorite, and even coming up with reasons that they may be right, or posts about what they may be thinking and why, are wonderful and creative, please refrain from bringing any real heat or hate into it, because Marvel can do some fucked up shit for no reason at all. Or for reasons that have nothing to do with what fandom thinks is important.

Here are some idiot things that I think Marvel has done; not remaking a stand-alone Hulk movie with Mark Ruffalo, or at least putting some of Bruce Banner's background into one of the movies. Not coming out with the Black Widow movie sooner. Not making the Hawkeye series, or an independent movie, about Clint's Ronin period. Not continuing the Thor movies in the classical style of the original. Having Steve go back in time and stay there, which invalidated all of the Agent Carter series and the family Peggy had, as well as having him abandon Bucky. Not letting Tony and Bucky come to some kind of reconciliation. Zemo engineered that fight between Tony, Steve, and Bucky to happen just as it did, in order to tear the Avengers apart. They should have written a scene showing that they could work out their issues and not remain victims of Zemo's manipulation for the rest of their lives. They are smarter than that. At some point they should have seen through it and saw it for what it was. What was the point of Tony inventing BARF if he was still going to be a prisoner of past events? Why would it only be used once to show how Tony was still being affected by his parents' death and not used again to help him deal with this new information? Could it have helped Tony if Bucky was the subject of the memory and Tony could see how Bucky was either totally suppressed like a zombie, or actively trapped without any way to control his body or influence events. Did they really need to give Tony a wife and kid only to kill him off? He already heroically did something to save everyone that could have killed him twice before. Did he have to die to finally be seen as a hero? If they hadn't killed him off, there wouldn't be this division in the fandom over RDJ playing Doom now. They should have just recast Kang, instead of leaving the Loki series as a build up to nothing. (Okay, wow, that got super off on a tangent, and on to a rant!)

With any of those, ymmv, meaning I know not everyone will agree with my opinions, and that's okay.

Writers, directors, actors, producers and editors all try to make a coherent project with certain messages. But sometimes the final product is seen quite differently by the audience. When there are several writers, directors, actors, producers and editors trying to create a coherent series of movies over several years, the chances of the differences in their intentions and the audience's point of view are greater with every film. Actors or characters emerge as fan favorites, and the company leans into that to the detriment of the group dynamics. Actors have chemistry that the company didn't count on, but the audience sees it and runs with it. If the fandom celebrates something that the company finds controversial, they may do nonsensical things or have characters written a different way in order to keep the fanon clearly delineated from canon. And, of course, the company does everything with the ultimate goal of making money. Anything else will be sacrificed to that goal. They don't care if they have to contradict themselves, ruin a character, invalidate a storyline, anything for the money.

So whatever Marvel eventually does regarding Sam and Bucky, know that it might be amazing or it might make no sense at all. So actively being hateful to eachother due to it is a bit reactionary. Again, debate, argue, state your opinions and your corroborating evidence, definitely. But don't try to ruin anyone over it. You don't need to try to run anyone off of the platform, or take your differences onto other platforms. Don't stalk each other. Don't try to take things into someone's personal or professional life.

Brings her any of the animals he catches outside for her to look at before releasing them.

Loves this little girl to the moon and back, oh my god.

You wanted to scold him about sugar rushes, but he looked so proud you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. He’s the one who had to deal with a hyper eight year old not you.

She loves to decorate his helmet and he loves taking it into battle.

100% wears a locket with a picture of both of you in it, he’s so sentimental I’m ill.

Definitely cried the first time she referred to him as dad.

♦ sentry/or val planned to make a major reveal for them, but john ruined it when being ask in an interview about working with teammates and gose with deadass expression when asked about bob "i mean we're dating so i guess we get along" and the internet goes CRAZY after that.

♦ after turning back bob would be AWKWARD he finds out.

♦ if a fan would ask them to be "coupley" for a pic bob would stretch his arm to make a heart shape while John only does it with his hands.

First of all, that last bullet point is definitely going on my list. It's fucking amazing lol!

I already wrote the first chapter and planned the fic, so its gonna be hard to change a lot but I did like the idea of sentry suggesting it and John ruining the effect of surprise.

In my fic I wanted to surprise John and Bon themselves lol.

Especially because John has to handle the internet judging him again without him being able to have a say in it, while also being outed against his own will (without even knowing he is in the closet).

While Bob has to live with being paired with his crush against his own will. It's just destined for Angst!

And yes, the second point is definitely what I am thinking too!

I just watched Thunderbolts* (2025) and here’s my rambling thoughts about what I felt about the movie.

Misfits and antiheroes were always up my alley, so suffice to say I definitely enjoyed this, overall maybe around a 7/10. Feels like it was a diamond in the rough, and could have benefited from a bit more stewing to become a very good movie.

Spoilers under the cut

- Love the beginning of the film, love the opening monologue by Yelena, love how everyone got together and the introduction of Bob

- Loved the different personalities clashing, I don’t know why some people previously said it’ll be boring to have a team with very similar power sets when their personalities and backgrounds are so different. I feel that their similarities make their differences stand out so much more.

- That said, I feel like Ghost needed a bit more fleshing out. Yelena is basically the main protagonist, Bob is a half antagonist, Alexi always steals the show with his humour and his relationship to Yelena, John Walker is a very fun asshole, and although Bucky didn’t really have anything to do, he’s a well established character and already loved so no complaints from me. Compared to all that, Ghost feels rather underwhelming

- I felt the flow was rather jagged and the pacing rather rushed from around the 60% point, and the ending was rather abrupt. Nothing that harms the movie actively, but I would have liked more bonding scenes after Bucky and Alexi joined, the scene of Bucky convincing the rest to help was a bit of a jump, and while Alexi and Yelena’s heart to heart was pretty nice, I don’t know if it’s the pacing or the background at that moment or the flow, but it felt a bit awkward and rushed to have it basically settled just like that. Sentry suddenly going against Val after the Thunderbolts scampered away also felt a bit sudden, I would like to have a bit more yelling from everyone to try to talk Sentry down during the fight, and/or for Sentry to start fighting Val during the fight which allowed the Thunderbolts to run away. I probably have a few more but I can’t remember them right now

- I mentioned it above but it’s a pity Bucky wasn’t really given much to do within the plot. I know he saved the team, and then got them rallied to fight Val, but those could probably have been written to be filled by other characters or plot points? He feels a little shoe-horned. I would hope for the movie to have stressed a bit more of his character arc, I maybe would like to see Bucky be conflicted about his role as a congressman at the start of the movie. He struggles to do things by the book and be tied up with bureaucracy. It comes to a head when he meets the thunderbolts, and he gets a call from his congress friend (sorry I don’t remember his name) about Val going off grid and they desperately need the thunderbolts to testify against her so they can mobilise to find and arrest her. Right after, Bucky gets the call from Mel. And this is when Bucky has to make a decision, does he stay a congressman, bringing the thunderbolts in for the government to handle Val, or due to the urgency of the situation, he goes off script to lead the team to directly stop Val. This is when he realises he doesn’t belong in congress, that he wants to help people directly as a ‘superhero’

- Same thing for Ghost, it felt like she didn’t have much to do either. But I can’t think of any storyline for her right now

- Side note, loved Bucky crashing the van into a building. Loved how everyone scampered into the elevator after losing the fight with sentry

- The ending felt rather rushed. I love the idea of talking it out to solve the fight, rather than another “big cgi battle”. But I felt it could have been tidied a bit better in terms of execution. I would have liked Bob to have made some connections to the other team members too, and a bigger emphasis on Bob’s own epiphany that he doesn’t have to be alone anymore, that if he reaches out, others are willing to take his hand and help him if he needs it. Right now I felt like it was more of a Yelena and Bob relationship that helped him.

- I’m still confused if Val intentionally orchestrated everything in order for them to create a New Avengers team, or if she had this as a backup plan to avoid incarceration?

- Not really a review, but I definitely way prefer “Thunderbolts”🔥 to “New Avengers” 😒

- I also watched this in a non-IMAX theatre, and it felt that the screen was a bit too dark at certain points, not sure if it was a theatre issue or the movie is more optimised for IMAX

Immediate panic; he obviously handles everything, he calls his sentries and all that is needed to start the procedure

He doesn't really trust human doctors, plus he wants to be there next to you for the moment. He would be the most attentive doctor/medical personnel - the procedure and labor would be a major success!

He would also treat you to whatever you wanted after. To him, the first priority is your well-being after something so energy inducing/exhausting, then the attention would go to the baby (of course, he would place the baby in your arms before giving you attention you need)

He would definitely take care of the child so you could get the rest you need and deserve

At first, he would be too terrified to handle the baby....even if he knows how and the proper care for it - he's terrified of the idea of rejection from the baby, he doesn't want it to be afraid of him

However, the baby did not care at all. It babbled incoherently and reached out for Ultron, placing its tiny hands on his cheek to feel the coolness of the metal

"......this baby, I would kill for it." Ultron smiled. I only had them for a day and a half, but if anything happened, I would kill everyone and then myself type

I mean think about it ?

My personal headcanon is that the Blue beings are cold, stoic. All of them are like either some form of angelic being, or something mystical and unknown. But they’re also all much more solid and hit harder than the Orange beings. All of their fights feel clean, almost too clean, if that makes sense. They are the defenders, all they want to do is stop the Orange from absorbing them and destroy them. They are solid cold sentries.

Anyways onto the other side

A lot of the Orange beings are definitely on the more animalistic side, impulsive, less refined creatures. But that also makes them emotional, right? They aren’t as clean as the Blue beings, they strive to absorb and become Blue, they are the attackers but they are filled with goals, passion.

So how does this apply to our main duo ?

I first think about their different attacking styles

Edda’s attacks do insane normal damage and are all heavy, while Avens are light and do more absorption damage. Edda uses a sword, a shield, and an axe as her melee. Aven uses a whip and his hands.

And then I think about their meetings throughout the game. By all means, Edda is chasing down Aven constantly, and she just keeps running away (which pisses Edda off). Another thing is their meeting in the purple area, Aven only fights if Edda fights first, and tries to communicate every turn before combat. Edda is on a damn warpath until her and Aven come to an understanding, and then after that Edda is on a warpath with him so that’s a plus I guess

Still my point is I believe out of them both Aven would be the more sympathetic and emotional one. He actively tries to reach out to Edda, protects him from the attack in the finale, and ends up being the less impulsive one in their first peaceful meeting, plus my theories with the difference between Blue and Orange beings. Meanwhile Edda is cold and calculated and attacks without a second thought, like a soldier, which is what his kind basically is imo

Anyways conclusion to this is Aven is chill and Edda would break your knees without hesitation. I think it’s cute the idea of Aven teaching her emotion and Edda teaching him… to not… slam her face into things

Yknow, despite how it is impossible by all Ingame options, I wonder how a neutral route with *ONLY* Sans (and Asgore ig) killed would look? Would he count enough as a boss monster (NOT a Boss Monster) to push it from a Queen Toriel ending to an Empress Undyne ending? How would Alphys react (She lost one of her closest friends, but she still has MTT and Undyne around.)? How would Papyrus react (Would he go full angst mode and try close away his heart? Would he become even more of a people pleaser, trying to make sure he doesn't repeat whatever mistake he made with you again? Would he go into denial mode, trying to find Flowey to set things right with him either finding him or not based on what Frisk choses after the FloweyX fight? So many choises), especially with how he seems to Know Something he doesn't let on. I'd imagine that (provided it's a Queen Toriel Ending) Undyne wouldn't be thar affected, sad that Papyrus lost a brother rather than sad that Sans died (she never is close with Sans. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't know him as more than "Papyrus weird brother" and "My sentry that works the ABSOLUTE bare minimum needed"). I don't think mettaton would appear or be affected, leaving the call pretty limited. So we have Papyrus and Maybe Undyne, with Papyrus probably being... kinda miffed that everything is going along the same, as if Everything hasn't changed. Bonus points if it's Post Dates, leaving a pretty aimless Undyne moving into Sans room, trying to fill a void that she never can. It isn't some threat she can suplex or teach to cook, it's the world being unfair.

(This also would give a pretty Unique Undyne state, being halfway between her "I don't like that you had to kill Asgore, but it's what you had to do" mindset and her more common "You betrayed me in such a soul crushing way it'll affect how I love forever" mindset in most Neutral Endings. I can imagine her actually trying to rationalise it, because the human only killed Asgore (sucks but she Gets It), and... Sans. The easiest enemy, one too weak to make it into the guard, and almost too weak to be a Sentry (Sans would have no reason to reveal Blasters, and his magic would barely scratch the TRUE HERO of the Underground when Karma is factored in. All she would see is surprisingly complex patterns that don't deal even a tenth of her hp). So surely, they had a reason, right? Why else would they do it?)

can't not confess I've thought about it too, but it IS really hard to extend as a concept because there's just... really no way for sans to die outside of the NM run. and I don't mean logistically, i mean character-wise he is so defined by his survival. by his Being There as everything falls apart. the final girl last man standing in the story. so the whole concept immediately falls apart.

undyne wouldn't personally grieve him, seeing as they didn't really know each other, but she WOULD still feel his death on her conscience as she does with every other monster killed in neutral runs. plus, there's her friendship with papyrus to emotionally aggravate things.

papyrus would definitely go into denial. he would be annoyed about him vanishing all of a sudden, then it'd turn to worry, then as his worries become more and more plausible, he'd shut out all rational thought about the subject and pretend everything is alright. i like the idea of him reaching out to flowey, but he'd try to explain his plan while also comtradicting himself all the time in order to never say outloud "sans is dead. we need to fix this"

betrayed undyne... yeah this is where it falls apart again, since you'd have to reason why sans would die (or even instigate a fight at all) in the final corridor during what has so far been a flawless pacifist run.

buuut pushing past the visceral resistance to the concept. i can easily see a scene where the betrayal pushes her to lose it and seek revenge like it does in normal neutral runs, and her looking to papyrus for training help/human destroying plans. and just... meeting a Wall of denial. that would be a harrowing talk. something people don't mention enough is that papyrus sees himself as sans' caretaker as much if not even more than sans does towards him. a world where sans is dead is a world where he failed his brother. it would devastate him. so he clings to anything not to think about it/delude himself. and here comes undyne ready to shatter that fragile hope. it would be a horrible moment between them

but yeah. everything aside, sans would straight up just not die lol.
