"The amount of times people have tried to smash him makes it a little less paranoid," Sid mumbled. Within the Coven it was a matter of scrutiny, at least until someone had a proper place there, and Constructs were viewed with both curiosity and questioning because they could always be improved.

The downside being it came with varying degrees of destruction, especially for teens; Sid had always disliked the idea of his Constructs being harmed trying to prove they were more efficient than someone else's. That view came with its own scrutiny as well.

And like James had said; the world wasn't always welcoming of magic. Just because he was likely very harmless to Cy didn't mean the next instance of false confidence because of that wouldn't end in having to retrieve his creation in pieces.

Cy scrubbed at his wire whiskers and placidly maintained his spot right where he was since he wasn't told he had to move.

Sid almost avoided it the question though, it wasn't sure why he was so determined to do that but he had been, the entire drive up to that point. But it wasn't as though James is going to sit in the car like a dog - inaccurate comparison, Sid realized, because he certainly wouldn't have left Scud in his car - and wait for him to return.

"There's a museum I want to go to," Sid replied, then tacked on; "it's not one of the big ones that's going to have a bunch of people." He still, because James had not been very direct with the information, had no idea why that was an issue, but if there was some sort of anxiety thing involved that would end in a meltdown it was at least less likely in a smaller space.

Sid assumed.

"Then after that? Not really sure, I guess it depends on how long we're there. My initial plan of find some bar and get drunk and then worry about the rest of it in the morning is potentially going to require a little more work at this point." Not impossible, but a little more complicated; it still didn't mean Sid was returning to town until the next day because he was not giving any of his time up until he absolutely had to go back.

Can I say something apparently very controversial?

I liked the 3rd season of Squid Game.

Did it end in the way I wanted? No.

Did the season in general go the way I hoped? No.

Was it still enjoyable, brought me to tears, and was in general fucking badass, reminding us just how miserable that place is? Yes.

The whole time I was on edge thinking that it couldn’t get any worse for them and it did. Lives were ruined for entertainment. And that was the whole point. I liked the delivery and how they handled everything.

The whole point of the show is that you never get what you want. Everything is against you. Sometimes there’s just no happy ending.
