candy -> uchinaga aeri ver
aka the fluff alphabet
admiration (what does she absolutely adore about you)- you’re her biggest supporter, and she loves that about you. support giselle’s rights and wrongs
body (what’s her favourite body part of yours)- can i say ass bc giselle will give you a playful slap you when you’re passing by 😐
cuddling (how she likes to cuddle)- laying on top of each other ‼️ either your head nuzzling into her chest or the other way around, i don’t make the rules
dates (what’s her ideal date)- shopping 🤩 date 🤩 buy all the expensive clothes you talked about last night when you couldn’t sleep, and then get something yummy at the food court!
emotions (how does she express her emotions around you)- very expressive, especially when it comes to pouting. or making annoying kissy faces! with you, giselle is very straightforward
family (does she want one)- giselle doesn’t strike me as a family gal, sorry y’all. you’d be the best rich gay aunties tho!!!
gifts (what about gift giving)- surprise silly gifts! say you were back in your hometown for the weekend and giselle couldn’t tag along because of practice. you’re bringing her the ugliest ‘i love [city name] shirt you can find
holding hands (does she like to hold hands)- very much so! especially in front of her members. she has to assert her dominance and claim on you somehow right? 🙂↕️
injuries (what would she do if you got hurt)- 100% would laugh at you. but, hear me out, when we’re talking about minor injuries like slipping on wet floor, she’ll CACKLE like a witch, and then also slip in the same spot you did
jokes (does she like to joke around)- giselle is a prankster at heart ok don’t argue with me on that one
kisses (how does she like to kiss you)- gently and slowly, with her hands cupping your cheeks so they appear a little puffier.
love (what’s her love language)- she’s ver caring physically, but not verbally, you know what i mean? she’ll laugh at you when you hit yourself on the edge of the kitchen counter, but one of her hands will slip to your stomach to caress the spot where a bruise will form, while her other hand cups your cheek to examine your pretty face
memory (what’s her favourite memory together)- i think the first concert aeri brought you to! and not necessarily aespa’s concert, it might’ve been just a show of your favourite band. that’s a fond memory for her because you were all smiles the whole time!
nighttime (how does sleeping with her look like)- i can’t tell you where that vision came from, but she drapes her leg over you ok. it’s like holding you with her hand but not really
oddity (what’s one quirky thing about her)- visualise that one clip of her saying “when life gives you lemons, make mojitos…. i just said something very smart”. she wakes you up in the middle of the night to share her wisdom
pet names (what does she like to call you)- babygirl, babydoll, sweetie; the nicknames can fall on a spectrum between a granny and a sugar daddy
quality time (how does she like to spend time with you)- watching movies while eating takeout. you take turns in picking the films and aeri always chooses horrors, so you’ll curl up to her when you’re scared (she’s herself scared shitless but someone has to be the brave one in the relationship)
rush (does she rush into things)- a little bit? she asks you out after meeting you once, first kiss is after the first ‘i love you’ lol
secrets (how open is she with you)- giselle gives me the vibe of a person who tells you everything about her pets, but you don’t know her favourite colour until like the third anniversary
time (how long did it take her to confess)- as i said before, one full meeting
upset (what’s her reaction when you’re upset)- similar when you’re hurt? she’ll poke a little fun at you, but only if you’re upset about something minor. if you’re mad at her or really really upset, she’ll do her best to calm you down and resolve the problem
visibility (is she afraid of the public opinion)- like i said in winter and karina alphabet, all of aespa is TERRIFIED 💜 of the public opinion
warrior (how often do you fight)- not commonly. aeri doesn’t have that much free time so you both try to make as much of it as you can, and being mad at each other or fighting wouldn’t be helping the case
x-ray (is she able to read you)- yes, it’s like you’re connected telepathically. and then it works both ways! she can read you as well as you can read her
yes (how would she propose to you)- giselle doesn’t give me the vibe of someone who’d wanna settle down like that… living a happy life with two cats in a pretty house? yes, but marriage and all that official stuff? mm…
zen (what makes her feel calm)- good music 😔✊ the best way to relax fr. aeri has a special playlist with calming songs you both love just for that occasions
part of [the fluff series]

— ᝰ🖋️:
i heard once that making the most mundane tasks video game themed could be a great way to tackle them. so i'm experimenting with this right now!!
i drew a lot today. mainly figure drawings and some sonic stuff i also did some vent drawings. if i had to be honest, today was the first time i drew a pose from scratch and i was proud of it immediately. it was just a bunch of scribbles and i wasn't expecting shit, but it turned out so good. i wasn't even seeing clearly when i did it (𖦹ᯅ𖦹)
i'm going to try to meditate before bed or in the morning everyday now!! to what? i'm not sure. i'm starting to carefully craft a playlist of calm songs i'm probably gonna use for it.
i read about the two most common shifting theories again, kind of going back to the basics. while making my playlist, which was supposed to consist of nostalgic songs for me, i went through a LOT of childhood youtube collections i made of things i used to watch. it threw me back and lifted my spirits!! especially since lately, i've been craving shifting to my Liorith DR - basically reliving my childhood in a much more nurturing way. watching these old vines and memes and those old songs while i'm hyped on shifting back to my childhood is kind of a way to connect for me! (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.゚
ok, i didn't actually script much. but talking to chatgpt for advice and insight is so refreshing. i had this dilemma of which dr i was going to shift to first because i didn't want to overwhelm myself by going somewhere that was widely different from france, aka where i currently live. he gave me the perfect solution despite the fact i could barely talk to him in one language and had to frenglish my way into it.. ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)
by the time i'm writing this i haven't actually tried obsidian or manuskript, i plan to do it before bed. but i was introduced to these when i had the urge to write about my sonic dr as if it was a fanfiction, or the script to sega's next game. i am a little wary that doing this, regardless of if i post it or not, might subconsciously fictionalise my sonic dr to me..which i don't want 😞 but its one out of all of them, and honestly the one where i struggle the most with visualisation. its not like the first dr im trying to reach.
well, i guess i am journaling right now. i do plan on doing it on actual paper though. don't have much to say about this part.
⋆₊˚⊹ ࿔⋆bonus: i discovered city pop today, aka the genre of 4am by taeko onuki, fly day chinatown by yasuha and fly by spectrum. i discovered plastic love by mariya takeuchi and the music video was so cute!! it reminds me of ichiko aoba.

hi! I was wondering if you have any tips on drawing/visualising rufousing? Stuff like it's effect on non-black cats, where it's the reddest etc.
My current go-to reference is Somali cats but that's not entirely ideal considering their tickedness and amount of reliable sources for the rarer combos
Thankfully google images is full of a diverse array of black tabby pics so it's easy to find references from across the spectrum!
This is a pretty standard level of rufousing, a very normal brown tabby. You can - if you know what you're looking for - see the clear divide between more/less areas of rufousing across the body. It's more obvious when I pixelate him:
His rufousing falls on the belly, nose/muzzle, and chest. On other cats, we see the same pattern:
Belly, neck, chest, muzzle, and this one's paws are a little redder too.
Here's a very low-rufous brown cat who still has a rufoused line up the nose:
Even the grayest black tabbies have this tbh.
Here's a very rufoused brown tabby:
It's harder to see bc of how brown he already is, but we STILL see that intense (seasonally-appropriate) nose redness! Cats are rudolph I guess XD
As for non-black tabbies, they're usually reddish enough already throughout (AKA, can't get gray enough) that, while rufousing does still distribute the same way, it's much less noticeable. Here's a choc tabby w/pretty average rufousing:
Now that you know to look for it, the reddish nose IS still there...but it just looks the same color as the stripes!
Here's a more high-rufoused brown tabby, where it's a little more obvious that the nose strip is rufousing:
We can see it on the paws, too! It MIGHT be on the chest, but even with this fella's high rufousing, that red just looks like the normal agouti redness we see on the flank, so it's hard to tell!
I usually just draw rufousing in choc/cinnamon to be a straight increase/decrease in saturation for this reason tbh. Then again, I tend to do the same thing for my brown tabby designs... I find that rufousing in a way that doesn't look like weird tortie hard to draw :( Oh I can PAINT it, sure, but when it gets stylized into clean lines? Much harder.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that this white-ish spot on the muzzle here...
...is ALSO the result of banding! That's not "true" white, this cat has NO leucism. The red intensifies around the muzzle and then turns more "white" towards the center as a result of normal tabby agouti-ness :3
Here's a chocolate with the same faux-white as a result of being a tabby.
Sometimes it's just on the chin. Here's a cinnamon tabby with...some kind of rufousing! It's harder to tell w/these guys already being so red, but I'd venture to say "lower" bc of the lack of lightness on the belly/face:
When it comes to cinnamons, who are SO light, most of their visible rufousing is either just going to look like stripes or turn fully faux-white. His paws just looks darker instead of redder!
I hope this helps!!!
#ask#siliconsulfide8#cat genetics#anyway now u see why i get pissed off when someone tells me crowfeather has white in that one pic#no he doesnt. he has 'the artist was referencing a tabby while drawing a solid'

i sorry for saying this but i have to be honest, i dont understand why the LnDs MC having a gender is a problem, i mean, i understand you making a gn OC for some kind of support or representation but not why the MC, who already have a female body (and with that i mean biologically, the old fashion way everyone would visualise in their minds at first when they hear "female body", after all even if we young ones think this patter is wrong it still a pattern old ppl and from different cultures, and almost everyone understand and learned at first at a very young age) and if im not wrong also refered as "she" im the game, cant be described with anything that isnt gender neutral, i also have no idea why someone would be offended or feel not included reading about a MC with a gender, we all are different and is impossible to include everyone, ppl can feel not included for things you cant even imagine would be a problem, and not being able to see yourself on a story once isnt a big problem, you can ignore or jump to the next one, or just see the character like a character or another person that isnt youself.
I hope you dont get mad at this (and was able to understand my point, i usually have problems communicating with others and since english isnt my native language it gets worst), its that i just dont see the point in all this, i understand having a preference or incentivating one but not feeling somenthing bad and being against the other...
I understand what you’re trying to say, nonnie, but I have to point out a few things first. First off, I shouldn’t have to explain my own boundaries because at the end of the day, they are boundaries and should not be discussed. When something makes me uncomfortable, I shouldn’t be negotiating why people should respect that and stick to it without questioning my motives.
However, I understand you have no ill intentions, so I will be answering you—not because I’m obligated to, but because I want to point out where your line of thinking comes to harm marginalized communities.
The very simple answer is this: Because I’m a fanfic writer.
I’m not creating the MC in a game where she physically has a body and an appearance. Otome games were initially made as fantasies for their players to picture themselves in romantic situations. But since most Otome games have female MCs with very stereotypical appearances, most people who do NOT look like that end up having to imagine an OC/someone else in their place. It’s a shitty feeling; to feel left out because game producers can’t be assed to create more diverse options.
Second of all, the “old fashioned way” was already fucked up from the start, because even female bodied people are much less likely to look like Otome game MCs—who are almost dauntingly pretty, have virtually no physical blemishes, have straight hair, big eyes, and are incredibly thin. Now think of all the people who do NOT fit that physical description and are almost always excluded. When I visualize a female body like you say, I don’t instantly picture a perfect-looking skinny fair-skinned girl who looks not a day past 18. Because female bodies aren’t just one thing or the other. It’s a beautiful spectrum.
Third of all, leaving “old fashioned thinking” as it is is already a harmful concept. Should we ignore white people’s racism because it’s how they were brought up in the old-fashioned way? Should we allow sexism & misogyny in our communities because it’s how they were brought up back in the day? Should we encourage fatphobia by not silencing people because being thin and encouraging EDs was acceptable? Should we let homophobic hate crimes keep occurring because that’s what used to happen?
The number one goal of our new generations should be to reconstruct society and dismantle all the harmful practices that were done by our predecessors. Ending the cycle is our responsibility and no one else’s, and to do that, we have to take active measures to undo what they’ve done and erase what is “the norm.” Just thinking it’s wrong isn’t enough; we must take action to cut that shit out.
And because these were the “old-fashioned ways” it’s still the default for almost every writer to create for a female audience. Imagine a fandom has 200 writers. 190 would write for female MCs, and only 10 writers would write for more diverse MCs. Should everyone else that is not female (and, by the way, gender-queer people represent a massive percentage of fandoms online, and males do exist within our fandom spaces) just keep living their lives having to picture other people instead of themselves, because not enough people care enough to include them in their writing?
Here’s a realistic representation of what you’re saying: let’s say there are 2 million LNDS players around the world. 1 million are female. 1 million are not. The second 1 million will never get to see themselves as the MC. Now they can’t even picture themselves in fiction? Should the second 1 million be forced to feel left out in their own fandom space?
The same also happens with race representation in fandoms. Less than 50% of the world population is white. Yet we don’t see except very few people in fandoms writing for Black people, Latinos, Arabs, South-Asians, South-East Asians, Inuits, Native Americans, etc. Why is that? It’s because fandoms are catered towards white people. So should we just let the entire half of the globe never feel included in the art/writing fandom creators make? Do they not deserve representation and comfort too?
So when I write, I write for everyone. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. Because I think everyone deserves to see themselves loved and cared for by their favorite characters. Because everyone needs that sort of comfort. Because I myself have spent my entire life looking for that comfort in fandom spaces and never finding it. Even if the game doesn’t allow them to do that, I’m giving everyone a chance to enjoy the game through their own eyes, without having to be a stereotypical skinny girl with sleek straight hair and a dainty face. Because we want representation, and if the canon content can’t give us that (even though they claim it’s supposed to be “us”), then at the very least our fandom spaces should provide this. I hope you understand why my rules are there now. They’re a protection for both myself and everyone else in this fandom.
Fanfiction was created by the people, for the people—not just for a certain demographic that fits beauty standards and “old fashioned thinking”—and it should always be for ALL the people.
Being as inclusive as is humanly possible is never a bad thing. Refusing to see why consistently excluding others is wrong IS a bad thing, though.

31 DAYS OF HELPOL: Day Twenty-Seven, Twenty-Eight, Twenty-Nine, Thirty, and Thirty One
We made it to the end of the year! Thank you to everyone who participated in this event with me, it means a lot that it got so big
Share a fun fact about one or more of your deities which you think is underrated or not well-known
Athena invented the flute! Or an instrument similar to it. She invented it to mimic the sound of the gorgon’s mourning cries over Medusa, and when She played it on Olympus She was mocked by Hera and Aphrodite for the way it made Her face look when She played it. Athena threw it out of Olympus and it was found by a man who claimed credit for its creation.
What is your favourite myth?
The one of Tiresias’s gender, where he came across two mating snakes and hit them with a stick. Then, for disturbing them, Hera punished him by turning him into a woman. As a woman, Tiresias actually lived a fulfilling life. She got married and had a few children. But she came across two mating snakes again in the future and left them alone, so Hera returned her to being a male. Later, Hera and Zeus were arguing about whether males or females enjoyed sex more and She decided to ask Tiresias since he’d lived as both. Tiresias said that women enjoy it more, which was also what Zeus believed. Doe edging on the myth, siding with Zeus over Hera is what lead to Tiresias being blinded in some versions.
What is an aspect of your deities you really appreciate?
I won’t do the heroes, just the deities.
I appreciate Athena’s closeness. I think it comes from Her patron of heroes aspect and the mentoring side of Her, but I just feel so protected by Her.
For Ares it would be His fatherliness. I’ve cried to Him before. I feel safe with Him.
For Aphrodite, I appreciate the self-care aspects and the way that after giving Her an offering, I just like myself a little bit more the next time I look in the mirror.
And with Melinoë, it’s that my personal experience with Her is very tied to self-reflection and that growth is really important to me. Also, Her playlist helps me sleep quite often. Which is ironic for a goddess with domain over nightmares.
Do you have any visual interpretations of your dieties? Is this different from usual depictions of them?
The only one of my deities or heroes I can visualise is Tiresias, which is ironic. I have three different visual interpretations of him that kind of fit across the gender spectrum, however they are specifically related to images of Him that I’ve previously seen, so it isn’t different to usual depictions.
Share a positive experience you’ve had this month/year with one or more of your deities
Putting my Odysseus Playlist on shuffle to almost let him choose the music, and the first like.. eight songs that played being ones I added because they reminded me of Telemachus. That was really sweet!
Also, nor with a deity or a hero specifically, but just watching my sister get into the religion and her helping me make altars, asking a bunch of questions and making a few offerings.

So what's a line array ?
(Reminder that I am literally just finishing school therefore I still have a lot to learn and what I may be saying might be erroneous at times from a misunderstanding of some audio notions)
Well before we get in the nitty gritty of things, let's visualise what we're talking about. You see the big column (line) of speakers on the left of the stage ? That's a line array : (picture by me of Bons Sons Festival)

They are a solution to the need for louder systems (and more problems). As concerts got bigger, the concert halls became bigger and bigger as well, however there's a terrible thing in audio called attenuation and that's when the sound level diminishes because of the air resistance. The further a soundwave goes, the less powerful it becomes and the less you hear it. There's a very simple equation for that : number of dB (sound level) lost = 20log(distance). It means you would lose 32 dB in 40m, that's a lot !
There's a real need for louder system. And at first we had the Wall of Sound. A monster made of speakers, stacked on top of each other, up to 10m (32 feet) tall. This is the grandpa of line arrays.

There is a problem however. If the simple solution to "one speaker alone cannot produce enough sound for a whole crowd" seems to be "well just put more on top of it", this doesn't take into account the fact that the soundwaves produced by one speaker will interact with the soundwaves produced by another speaker and this will result in overlapping zones where it either adds the two (bigger sound), or substract one from the other (holes in the spectrum). This leads to using more speakers than necessary to cover those holes.
If these speakers could create a cohesive line front then you wouldn't need as much speakers. This means you want them to act as ONE speaker : as one SOURCE. What you need is for your line array to act like a line source.
In the early 90s Christian Hail (founder of L-Acoustics) determined the physical conditions needed for a line array to have a coherent wavefront. There are 5 criterias to the WST (Wavefront Structure Technology). If a line array conforms to all 5 then it will behave like a line source and be of great help for large concert halls and open air events. Nowadays a lot of softwares have been developped (usually one per manufacturer) to help with all the calculations : you only need to create a model of the venue in the software, select what speakers you are using and then give a maximum height (and other information that you have) and you can visualize how each speaker will behave, where will their energy be focalized, how they will interact with heat map and a lot of cool stuff.

(yes I know ArrayCalc is for d&b but it's the one I used the most at school)
Anyway the 5 criterias :
First we have the ARF, the Active Radiating Factor. This says that the wavefront created needs to be bigger or at least 80% equal to the total length of the line.
Then you have the STEP. The Step is the distance between two sources's acoustic centers. It should not be bigger than half of the wavelength of the highest frequency producessed. For example if the higher frequency produced is 100Hz (3.4m), then the distance between two speakers should not exceed 1.7m. However this becomes 0.17m for 1kHz and 0.01m for 16kHz. It becomes apparent that for higher frequencies it is almost physicaly impossible to have the correct step.
The third criteria treats of the wavefront's curve. It can be accepted, as it will natureally be when created by a speaker. The wavefront being curved there will be a slight difference in the distance needed to get to the audience between the top of the curve (the highest point) and the sides who are curved. However there is a limitation on how curved it can be. It can be calculated and it must be inferior to 1/4th of the highest wavelength. Waveguides were created to help "sculpt" that wavefront.
The last two criterias focus on keeping the line source's angle variable without losing the coherence of the wavefront.
The fourth criteria takes into account the sound level attenuation according to the distance. To keep the attenuation at 3dB per doubling of the distance, the angle between each speaker must be inversely proportional to the distance to the adience. This means the further away the audience member is, the more closed the angles between the speakers are.
And finally the last criteria determines the maximum angle between each element of the line array. This is to avoid the holes in the audio spectrum. It is an equation that I'm not going to try and write on tumblr.
Taken right from my thesis haha.
If the line array agrees to all these criterias it can be considered a line source. Line arrays usually take care of the audience further away on the ground and also in the balconies/stories/heights. There is a real need to understand how far your stage speakers will produce good sound (especially with all the fills you have on the front of the stage) and adapt the placement of your line arrays (or its general curvature).
Its line aspect also influences the shape of the hot spot. For a lone speaker the hot spot is going to be near it, at it's acoustic center, then attenuated in a spherical manner. For a line array, it will produce a hot spot in a line. This transforms the heat map. That's how you can have big concert halls with a general sound level that is very homogenous (the people in the front still have the most sound level/sound pressure). Understanding how they work allows you to create blind spots voluntarily (for example because of architecture).
Line arrays are almost present at every concerts now. But be careful with the fingers when setting them up !!
#how do i even tag this#live sound#line array#sound tech#sound engineer#audio theory#this is just Leska finally getting his thesis out of his system#you know what...no I shouldn't but I'd love to talk about the history of festivals and their social impact

Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, (1924 - 2015) an amazing aboriginal artist who started painting in her 80s.
Sally Gabori was born around 1924 on Bentinck Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, a small island of the Kaiadilt people. Her tribal name, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda, means ‘dolphin born at Mirdidingki’. Gabori lived her first twenty-three years according to an unbroken ancestral culture, uninfluenced by the encroachment of Europeans. Yet in 1948, following severe drought and a tidal wave that struck Bentinck Island, the Kaiadilt people were moved to the Presbyterian Mission on nearby Mornington Island. Here Gabori bore eleven children, raising them along with several others of her husband’s children to other wives, as is Kaiadilt tradition. Although she spent most of her life away from her country, Gabori maintained Kaiadilt culture, singing its songs with family and community, fishing and gathering bush foods. She remained on Mornington Island until the 1980s, when some of the Kaiadilt people began to return to their ancestral country after the Land Rights movement saw small outstations erected on Bentinck.
Gabori didn’t hold a paintbrush until she was in her eighties. She was first introduced to painting materials in 2005 while at the Mornington Island Arts and Crafts Centre. Her immediate love of paint and raw talent triggered an outpouring of artistic expression as Gabori instinctively engaged with a full spectrum of colour to visualise the glories of her country. Mixing wet paints on canvas to create tonal shifts and gestural brushstrokes, she evoked geological and ecological flux on Bentinck. Bold, hard-edged forms and sharp colour contrasts describe enduring natural structures such as ancient rock-walled fish traps, or the cliffs meeting the ocean.

Hey so a bird came to me and whispered in my ear... it says I *really* want to know more about your magic headcanons! Strange coincidence isn't it?
No but for real, your worldbuilding ideas are always so thorough and well thought-through, I'd love to hear more!
I have not slept yet so this might not be readable idk. This is half developed from a rp angle and half from a "how do I make x ingame skill work in this system" angle, which is why I both talk about how ingame classes don't really apply but also quote specific skills. Enjoy your read.
Okay so cast spells you need three things: Aptitude, Association and A Focus. You can work with one of them missing but the other two have to work overtime to compensate.
Aptitude
Aptitude defines what kind of magic naturally comes easy for you. This is not always easy to determine, and it is not unusual to find one kind of magic you are decent at and never find out there's others that are even easier for you. Many cases of of people who "Just don't have a talent for magic" just never happened to try out the kind they would be good at. Maybe because they wanted to practice a specific kind of magic and found out they suck at it, maybe because their Aptitude lies in an area that is rarely practiced by their culture.
Aptitude lies on a spectrum, kind of like light but with several axes and doubling back on itself. See elementalists and necromancers both using ice, teleportation, etc.. The classes focus around one particular area of this spectrum but overlap in many areas and are thus mostly arbitrary distinctions (as proven by many of the elite specs mixing things up).
There is also some variation in how specific one's Aptitude is. Some people only have a very small range, while for others it might be a more gradual decrease.
Some examples from my characters: Aerana is a excellent air elementalist, she can wield air magic effortlessly enough that she regularly skips using a focus entirely (we will get to that part) however anything else, even just other elemental magic, requires significantly more effort and concentration for her. Ruck on the other hand is also in game terms an elementalist, but can easily work with all of the elements, and even occasionally dips into areas more closely associated with mesmer and thieves. (again those assosiations are no hard borders)
Foci and Association Chains
Having a natural predisposition only brings you so far. What really distinguishes a powerful mage is the training.
Casting spells requires concentration and a clear vision of what you wish to achieve. For this purpose there are two tools the tyrian mage has access to.
The association chain helps visualise what you want your spells to do. You start with something physical in your surrounding, ideally an object your are very familiar with (a focus) and find images, emotions or similar you associate with the object, and then you go from that image in small steps to the effect your spell is going to have.
For example: You are pursuing someone and want them to stop running away. You grab your trusty knife and concentrate. The knife is a precise instrument, you only want to exert a small force where it is necessary. You remember using this knife to cut up a hare for dinner. You remember cutting through tendons and muscles. You imagine yourself cutting through your targets tendons and hold onto that image as you let the magic flow through your focus. Congratulations, you've just cast Necro Dagger 3
As I have mentioned foci play an important role in starting your association chain. A focus can be any kind of physical object, but there some classics such as the staff (easy to visualise range) or scepter (power or control).
Proper foci and association chains help with precision and speed, but most importantly greatly reduce fatigue.
Association chains can be taught, memorised and practiced, but the most powerful ones are deeply connected to personal experience. Similarly any object can be a focus, but one you have spent time familiarizing yourself with will work better.
Additionally your surroundings obviously impact your ability to follow these association chains as well, especially if you are not following a chain you have memorised by heart. An elementalist might find it harder to conjure flames in a frozen cave, while a guardian might find it easier to project a barrier while manning the walls of a fortress.
Some more examples from my characters: Reevus doesn't usually use his pistol as a focus for his magic. He uses it as a pistol. However, if he for whatever reason doesn't want to injure his target he has learned to knock people unconscious with magic. He had knocked someone out with the handle of his gun once, and he project this memory onto his target. (yes this is pistol 5)
On Ritual Magic
In many ways complex rituals are mostly just more elaborate foci and pre written associations. The difficulty here is to have every participant to concentrate on the same result, thus the complexity.
Coincidentally this is why Grawl worship "any odd statue". Group worship is an easy way to handle this problem. And we see the grawl perform some pretty powerful rituals. They don't worship random things because they're stupid, they worship then because it's a tool.

CASE STUDY #2 — 24/03/24
Interliminality has been recorded throughout human history, and can very well have roots dating back to prehistoric times. The cause of such anomalies are not known, but are speculated to be some sort of inter-dimensional phenomena. The scales of these disruptive anomalies vary from molecular, to even spanning several astronomical units in length. One of such large-scale anomalies include what is commonly referred to as “dark matter”.
NATURE:
The existence of dark matter itself is a relatively new concept, after the behaviour of galaxies were modelled. Spiral galaxies, where regular matter is most densely concentrated towards the centre, should theoretically rotate at a faster speed in the centre, slowing down in the arms of the galaxy. However, observations show that the entire galaxy rotates at a constant speed, implying that the mass is evenly distributed across the entire galaxy. But the majority of this mass is invisible on the electromagnetic spectrum, and only interacts with regular matter through gravitational force.
According to the investigation launched by the International Institute for Interliminal Research, “dark matter” can be described as the ghost counterpart to regular matter, which is siphoned from other dimensions in order to create clusters of matter in our local dimension. This was measured through the slight variations within the Cosmic Background Radiation, which can effectively produce an accurate model of matter distribution in our neighbouring dimensions.
This also provides us information on the nature of our neighbouring dimensions, which are now visualised as cards with varying widths at different points on the plane, the thicker areas being areas of higher mass, and vice versa. These “cards” slot on top of each other, effectively creating a “stack” of dimensions. This challenges previous notions, where neighbouring galaxies were thought to be parallels of our own. This new research suggests that cards within the same stack follow the same laws of physics, with different stacks having different laws.
Therefore it can be inferred that our dimension is affected by both cards in the same stack, as well as cards in other stacks. More research is required to understand the full nature of cards and stacks.
Dark matter is one of the grossly underrepresented beneficial examples of interliminality, as the formation of galaxies would not occur without the gravitational force of dark matter holding it together.
FINAL CLASSIFICATIONS:
Class H — highly beneficial
Invisible, non-psychoaffective, gravitational.
Name — P999240324
Plan of Action:
N/A

This is a long one forgive me people
I have autism the most severe out of everybody I know. I am friends with other autistic people and they have described how neurotypical people can immediately identify them as being autistic however other autistic people see me as someone who is either too low or the spectrum or someone who is on the more severe side of the spectrum my interactions with neurotypical are the most batshit crazy thing you will ever hear I do not come off as a player I don't make sexual jokes but when I get to know people they always seem to get the assumption I am a creep or something of that nature majority of my female "friends"also had the same assumption everyone also carries the assumption I am stupid which I have grown to believe they also follow up with the fact I am a supposed bottom which I dont fucking understand why you would say this to someone you have just met.
Im sorry for the lack of punctuation I am incredibly frustrated
I cannot fucking do basic equations for the life of me. I Cant do basic things in school my only ability is reading above average and I have no else going for me I rarely consume american content / media but constantly told I have a strong american accent which I have only recently found out is linked to aspergers or autism I have no real friends and I believe I am just the buffer friend that people vent to but cant hear or fathom actually exists.
I cannot sit still I cant even control the level of speech I present to people no matter the weather I get chills and then my neck starts moving randomly like im about to have a seizure. My parents control my watching and video access due to my hallucinations no matter what form of content I consume I am then suddenly able to visualise the character as if they are actually real I was an insomniac for 2 years because I would see things that would terrify me if I tried to sleep or dream.
My memory is the most horrendous thing ever and I cant even feel emotions like a normal human is "supposed too" my closest friend had died and I physically couldn't feel sadness I was mildly upset at most before forgetting him despite the years we had spent together
Why wasnt I born normal
I see other people with their families and regular interests but I am such a fucking loser bro.
I cant control my speech and will blurt out stupid references to things nobody cares about I dont see myself making it to adulthood I can barely do anything aside from read at a high level and nothing else. Nothing fills me with such dread by seeing a child prodigy who can do anything they want perfectly while I cant even fucking act like a normal human
I hope everything is going well for you guys

Hiding as anon because F E A R and asking you because god forbid I ask this to other friends who are systems.
But, what does it mean if I constantly and consistently dream of being a system? In the waking world I feel these forces but I can’t see into any innerworld, can’t see any one unless they’re right up close to my face basically but it’s always in this dream like state paired with my depersonalization and derealization.
Yet sometimes I dream, full switch outs, an inner world. Interacting more with the others. But a lot of dream logic. I’ve been having this dream consistently for a few years since gaining more friends who are systems and I just, god damn. :( bit confused over the whole thing.
Heyo! What could be happening here is that dreams are your main form of communication. Plurality is a wide spectrum, and there are many that never realize they are a system of some sort because of not having the resources to learn about it, but there are some systems (and we know a few like this) where dreams are their main form of communication with those in the innerworld. Especially if this has been a consistent thing for years now, Id say theres a good chance that you may be a system.
If its hard to interect with those in the system while awake unless theyre very close, thats a more common thing than you may think. Practice and visualisation excersizes will help with being able to see into the innerworld while awake. Itll also help to build the innerworld, but you dont nessicarly need one! It took us around a year to be able to passively keep track of both bodily stuff and things happening in headspace.
Now, we havent personally had the dreams of innerworld happen too terribly often, I know there are a few systems on tumblr where it is their main form of communication, though I cant remember any off the top of my head at the moment.
Im glad you find us a safe system to come ask about this, we love helping people out immensely, especially since we didnt have that kind of support when we were trying to figure it out and thus took much longer.
Were always open to help, so dont be afraid to send more asks or dm us if youre comfortable with that! 8⁰]
