ADHD really does put everything at equal levels of importance, huh? Like I'll have an email I need to write that'll take maybe 10 minutes, and getting that done will alleviate 6 months of stress. Then I'll notice a sock on the floor I need to put away. Then I'll get the strong conviction that it's up to me to cure cancer. And my brain will tell me that I need to do all of them at once, start and finish them all in the time span of 0 seconds, and my executive dysfunction will throw up its hands and do none of the above.

#adhd #actuallyadhd #executive dysfunction #examples were courtesy of my partner. it made me laugh so hard because i've never heard anything more accurate #i'll read stuff like ''adhd makes it difficult to prioritize things!'' and i never paid that much attention because i was like #''i can easily sort things into categories. it's just the doing them that's the issue.''#but then i realized. that the REASON doing things is an issue is because it's not happening at the conscious logical level #it's happening at a nearly-subconscious rapid fire in-the-moment response time #i've been working a lot on my adhd these past few months & have also been meditating a lot lately and it's been making my awareness more an #more broad and precise #and at this point i'm wondering if this is straight up the cause of my adhd. the brain putting absolutely everything at the same ''URGENT #URGENT URGENT'' level. since i can't do everything in the world at the same time at infinite speed and perfection #i'm thrown into ''freeze mode''. and that's also why we've learned to weaponize fear against ourself as a motivator. because it forces the #task we're trying to do into front view. makes it take priority over everything else we're scared of not doing.#we've been working on a lot of useful coping skills. haven't entirely figured out how to manage this yet but the awareness itself has #been very useful.

what kind of brushes do you like to use for your art? i can see from your tt that you don’t use procreate, but are there types that you like?

hmm i'm kinda lazy so honestly if i find a brush that feels right i'll stick with it until i find myself in an art slump, and what feels right depends on what mood i'm in?

the first brush is the one i've used for pretty much everything in the last year - i've been favoring chunkier lineart/filled in shaded areas with a slightly gritty texture and this brush is perfect for that! i also set it to like 70% opacity so i can add value by layering my strokes

the brush in the middle is what i used most around 2022-2023 and it's almost the opposite of what i'm using rn 😂 it's a little hard to see but it gets thinner/more transparent depending on how fast the line is drawn and i love that it works like an ink pen

the last brush is just a fun one i like to use for texture, mostly when i'm coloring!

#in the end i think finding a good brush comes down to how you draw and what you want to focus on #like i've been focusing on general shapes and sort of carving out lines by making them thick and using an eraser to shape them in areas #which is why i love the brush i'm using now #but that's harder to do with the pen brush because the transparency and the fact that it gets thicker at the ends instead of tapering #makes it obvious when you start and stop or erase a line in the middle but the pen is good for building speed/line confidence and precision #which is what i wanted most then!#okay i'm done rambling but i hope this helps!!!#michelle answers #waveoftheocean faq #theora-aura

tbh sonics levels started off strong, albeit wonky and floaty? but now im absolutely sick of his levels. they just never end

#the camera is so slow and hard to control #the ‘’speed’’ aspect is hard to appreciate because sonic is too slippery in this game and some of these puzzles require precision #maybe the game just doesnt run well enough on the steam deck but the last two levels have been absolutely miserable. what do you mean i stil #still have one more after this #echoed voice

#THE QUESTION IS do they have to have demonstrated olympic level skill in their civilian lives?#because yes dick grayson is known to be an acrobat/gymnast #but could oliver queen show up for archery?#I'd say none of the flashes compete bc it would take a lot of precision to run at a speed that's competetive but not outside human ability #but golden glider could definitely go for figure skating #that one yj 98 arc canonized a couple of villains as olympians but have any heros gone to the olympics besides arrowette?#also in that arc there's a group shot of the zandia team that shows kite man and i desperately want to know what sport he does #dc comics
