On another note,i know Tumblr servers are expensive to keep up but if there was a donation progress for this site like ao3 it would help relieve the costs a little i think. I hope Tumblr is able to cover servers costs once the situation at hand is resolved.

I don't understand why the latter would ever be more popular than the former. It's so easy and effortless; I get to keep all the media, so it can't be randomly taken down; I don't have to worry about data breaches because nobody has my data; I don't have to manage and keep track of yet another login and password; No issue with password sharing. I can just bring my hard drive and computer with me wherever I go and play the files on whatever screen I want.

The content is just there. It's mine. It's easy. I'm not giving some random entity my very private card details. Like, what more could you want??

I fucking hate you amazon. making me pay for your subscription just to have me pay for a whole other subscription to watch one show.

Amazon always does this, like I get that it's cheaper than most subscriptions, but when u still can't watch movies or shows is it even worth it? Like it's making me either rent or buy a movie/show. Or it's making me pay monthly for a whole other subscription. Just to watch one goddamn movie.

I miss old media. i miss watching movies on YouTube. I miss having physical media and actually owning the things u pay for. (which i can write a whole essay about). but also I can't even watch dvds if I wanted to cause I don't own anything to play it on.

If your Microsoft 365 Subscription Price went up, this is relevant to you:

Hoping this saves someone some $$$$. In short, Microsoft auto-upgraded people on the Basic tier of their 365 subscription to the middle tier that includes copilot (with no option to turn it off), renamed the middle tier to Basic, and renamed the original Basic tier AND hid it from the subscription types options, in hopes that people won't realize they've just been auto-"upgraded" to a more expensive tier that also allows them to train their AI on your work. If you contact Microsoft support and are stubborn, or possibly (according to some of the comments on that youtube video) if you turn off auto-renewal and then look at options for re-subscribing, you can still get the original Basic tier that you had before, for the same price as you had before. Given that they are obviously not trustworthy has a subscription service, though, I'd recommend instead trying the LibreOffice (my personal favorite) or OpenOffice software suites (including Word Processor software, Spreadsheets software, etc) - both of which are 100% free. And both of which can save documents in Microsoft 365 formats so that others can still open and read your documents using Microsoft products.

I hate it whenever I'm looking for a specific old youtube video I watched ages ago and the only thing I can vaguely remember is what it was about. No author, no title, bearly even a thumbnail. And the worst part is I know I once looked for this video already and remember saving it when I found it last time. But turns out I'm a moron and this video isn't actually saved.

I have to tell someone about this because it's sitting in my OneDrive and it cracks me up. I get almost no subscriptions to my website, so these are the ONLY TWO that happened in January... and they are my siblings birthdays. My little brother is January 3rd, and my older sister is January 21st. And there were no other subscriptions anywhere around those two isolated incidents. And no, the people subscribing were not my siblings playing some weird trick on me. I cannot describe how simultaneously eerie and funny this is to me, but I wanted to delete it out of my screenshots folder, so I needed to immortalize it somewhere.
