Our transition + update!

Happy one year, TBC.

Hello, our followers and/or people coming across this post. We have a pretty important update to share with all today.

So, it has been a year since we made this page, and soon, it’ll be a year since we first posted, and both of these are extremely exciting but also kind of disappointing because we have not been updating as frequently as we used to.

When we started this page, we were excited and full of creativity to constantly post once our stories were done being written and proofread. Now, while we have given time to write other fics on other topics, we have been waiting for Admin Cat to finish her side of the fluff topics that we started on.

Now, to give a little spoiler…

We have plans for angst and horror tropes right now, and this is what this update is about.

For the past few months, Admin Kai and Admin Cressa have been writing and writing when we can and we have just been WAITING to post these because we are genuinely really proud of how far we’ve come with them and we have been wanting to share them with you all.

We were not kidding when we said that one of Cressa’s fics made Kai cry, and Kai made Cressa cuss them out with one of the ones they wrote. A few times we have cried writing our own stories. They have put through endless effort and strife, but at the end of the day, we cannot keep waiting.

So, we’re going to stop making an order on how we post our fics, and not worry about posting an angst after fluff, or a horror after a crack fic, because honestly, we don’t have the time for that.

As our followers know(or at least the people who read the admin introduction posts), Admin Cat and Cressa are in college, but Kai is not, at least not yet. They will be going in soon enough which means less time to constantly post, but don’t worry, we aren’t abandoning the page or handing it down to someone else.

We are simply taking a step back to make sure we aren’t overwhelmed or stressing over school, work, life, and what have you. Admin Kai is already posting a few of their new fics to AO3 which you can find by searching up ‘ka1zuha’ on the page, and Cressa also has the current fics from Tumblr on AO3 which you can find by searching ‘Melancholia_Cressa’

Now, be on the lookout for a few certain fics that will get us going into this transition and it will be going up on the page once confirmation is given that we are okay to post. We know a few of you have made requests and trust me, we are going to get those out but they will take a while due to the admins having busy schedules right now.

Remember, we appreciate every single one of our readers. We even appreciate the ones who read and leave a like, or repost but don’t follow us. Just giving us your time is amazing enough as is. It has been a long year, a tough one at that, and quite a lot has happened, but we are hoping to have many more, and hoping to see more and more people enjoy our fics as much as we enjoy writing them.

Judging from liveblogs but I think the reason everybody is so up in arms is because there’s a level of unknown to the changes not only from an audience perspective but also from a player perspective. It sounds like most of the players were unaware of the changes and nerfs coming, which in turn makes them feel very sudden and off putting because there’s no time to consider the good and bad before it’s implemented. It’s just suddenly…here.

Like, I think if the players were aware of the changes, at least on a meta level, and expressed that to the audience it wouldn’t cause so much uproar

Why do you like your professor so much? I'm sorry if that sounds rude I'm genuinely curious

OOGhh ok aa It is difficult to describe to anyone who has not met him but I will attempt

-I’m already obsessed with sociology and we are on a similar wavelength when it comes to how we think about sociology. Also he is genuinely interested in hearing about my weird evo-bio shit and has occasionally referenced my evo-bio shit in class if evolution/evo-bio comes up. It also helps that he’s I think maybe the first non-white sociology teacher I’ve had and so the way he talks about these subjects is refreshing

-really nice to everyone all the time. And not just superficially nice either like he really really cares about students and if you come to him with a problem he will try to help. I watched him attempt to call an admin office bc a student was having technical issues with another class, they didn’t pick up bc the college is often poorly run but he did try 3 times.

-If he makes a mistake on an assignment or in lecture and you point it out to him he will give you extra credit for it, and he’s really nice about it, which means in general students feel comfortable disagreeing or debating or bringing stuff up w him

-his lectures are really really good, I don’t know what it is but the way he teaches makes things really easy to understand even if it’s a difficult subject. He clearly has a lot of passion for both the subject he teaches, and just for teaching itself.

-he’s a really cheerful and friendly guy. He hypes you up whenever he sees you, and makes you feel smart during class, especially when you grasp a concept like he makes you feel really smart which makes you confident which makes you more likely to engage, and as a result his classes always feel so much more like a community. Heavily paraphrasing the way my friend put it but they said that his class is the first time they haven’t felt like all their classmates were strangers.

-he cares above all else about the students and has experience knowing how a shitty professor can hurt someone and drive them away from education

-I know I already mentioned I really like his lectures but I don’t think I made it clear enough. He’s one of, if not not the highest rated professors at the school for a reason.

-it’s not just me tbc like everyone likes this guy, I mention sociology and everyone is like “oh are you taking [professors name]?” And I go “yea” and they always go “omg I love him so much“. My other professors even do this. Kids (including me) just hang around after class until he has to go bc they like him and want to talk with him more.

-I must also reiterate how nice it is to have someone who seems genuinely interested in my weird annoying nerd shit. Once I blabbed about Bonobo society vs Chimpanzee society to him for like 15-20 minutes and not only did he actually listen, he contributed with his own random Bonobo knowledge and THEN would go the extra mile and ask me if it was true/accurate instead of just assuming he knew better. I know maybe that could be bare minimum to some ppl but being a female student, having a teacher and especially a male professor give you that kind of respect is so cool.

-just a lot of little acts of kindness he didn’t have to do but chose to do anyways. Nothing that’s necessarily huge on its own but it adds up (which is why it’s hard to describe to ppl who haven’t met him)

Personally I hope this is an indicator that they’ll be reaching out to the egg admins, since the eggs haven’t really been acknowledged up to this point except by players. It just kinda feels like a “starting point” to me, a way to get the admins situated and then work off something when they return. Or, if they don’t want to return, a way to give their character an out

But like, tbc, that’s just me being hopeful about the situation not a claim that’s what’s going to happen, I’m just waiting and watching to see how things go even if it doesn’t work out that way

i need to know more about whiscash in particular, is it based on the type it is?

Certain types of pokemon in efverse will have varying body types depending on their parent's.

In admin whiscashs case theyre built more like a mermaid than, for example, their leader milotic who has legs. Tbc this isn't like a deformity or rare or anything in either case it's just how plenty of water type pokemon hatch!

Tho in the admins case I think their typing adds to their desire to see more of the land yes.

Cliff notes of the story of Humanity in Oddworld

Many years in the future, earth has become to polluted to live on. So humanity decides instead of using their amazing technology to fix it, they decide to up and leave Earth and find a new planet to call home.

So they round up the brightest and most brilliant people humanity has to offer and have them build a MASSIVE spacecraft that would be capable of carrying all of humanity through the stars to their new home.

One of the scientists who worked on the ark was a scientist named Celestia Redglare, who had previously created the philosophy known as "Homosuperiority", the belief that humanity are the only lifeforms of its kind, and therefore are the top dogs of the universe. She developed this philosophy during a period known as The Great Isolation (a period of extensive nihilism and despair from humanity coming to the conclusion that they were alone in the universe) to counter the sheer hopelessness she saw around her, urging humanity to take pride in its lonely existence as they were, in her words, "The heir apparent to the stars!"

By the time of the ark's completion, mankind had widely adopted her philosophy and she would go down in history as one of the greatest minds humanity had ever seen, and she was even offered a spot as a Block admin on the ark. She declined though, mostly because she was dying of an incurable disease that she had kept hidden from the public. She died shortly before the Odyessy departed.

But mankind couldn't pick any old planet to live on though, since even with their advanced tech, terraforming would still take an extremely long time. They needed a planet that was A) the same size as earth with similar gravity, B) had an atmosphere made up of oxygen, and C) had an environment close enough to earth that it would be able to support terrestrial life.

So it's no surprise that the Odyessy's space trek spanned many, many centuries and multiple generations.

At some point millions of years since the Odyessy left earth, one of Redglare's descendants, a man named Tomas Johnson gets married to a woman named Junko Shiromiya and they would have three daughters. Helia, Tina, and Minerva-Margot, or better known by her nickname, Mingot.

They had a completely normal life until one day, a woman named Quatherine Diamond, the current CEO of the ark's largest supplier of goods, Diamond Corp. staged a hostile takeover of the ship. She believed that they would never find a new planet, and intended to take control of the ship and return to earth.

The whole ship was put on lockdown; no one could get in and no one could get out! Quatherine ordered her soldiers to gun down ANYONE who even showed the slightest bit of resistance, no matter who or how old they were.

Amidst the chaos, Junko and Tomas grabbed their now only living daughter, Mingot, and took her to a secret escape stasis pod room that only members of high-ranking bloodlines could enter use. Tomas's plan was for him, Junko, and Mingot to all get in the stasis pods, escape, and eventually reunite on their new planet. But just as Mingot was launched from the ship, the last thing she saw before falling into stasis was a group of armed men bursting into the room, pointing their guns at her parents...

Seasons of Life Masterlist

Well, better late than never...

In spite of being an admin for @fanfictionoverload's first challenge, Seasons of Life, I have somehow fallen behind with it 😂
