Theme: Reading

Charachters: Jam and @theogclownboy Toby

Fandom: Helluva Boss

Summary: Toby takes Jam to work with him, Jam needs to find a way to keep himself occupied while his papa does work.

Authors Note: Sorry these are so late, they will also be missing the signature dialouge colors. Due to cramps I can't sit up straight so I cant sit down at my pc to edit these properly. I also apologize if this fic seems a bit rushed. I just want to make sure I don't get too backed up on writing. Please like and reblog as it helps a lot with support and spreading my fics!

"Alright kiddo. Just sit tight right here while Papa quickly does some work okay?"

Toby asked as he set Jam down at a little corner he had set up behind the librarys front desk. Jam nodded before picking up some of the toys that Toby had left for him and started to play quietly so his papa could focus. Jam was relatively used to playing quiet on account that he was a pretty quiet kid but....he did usually end up getting bored at some point which is exactly what happened. After about the 3rd time of his block tower falling over Jam sighed before looking up at Toby who was currently sat on his chair scanning books and making sure that they were marked as returned or overdue. Occasionally helping someone out if they asked for a book. Jam wished his Papa could play with him right now, but he knew Toby had his special job to do. But.....a few minutes wouldn't hurt right? Jam thought to himself as he got up and hoisted himself so he was on Toby's shoulder. "Hmm? Pup what's up?" Toby asked as Jam gave a light "bap!" To his face. "Papa I wanna play wif you. Can we jus' fow a lil bit?" He asked. Toby smirked and pat Jam on the head, before shaking his head. "Sorry kiddo, I gotta work right now. Your gonna need to find a way to occupy yourself until im done okay?" He said. Jam sighed and puffed his lip out. "Buh I wanna pway wif you! M bored!" Toby chuckled gently and lifted up Jam from resting on his shoulder to sitting on his lap. "I know you wanna play with me bud, but understand that the faster I get this work done without being distracted, the faster I can play with you. Okay?" He explained as he ran his fingers through Jam's hair. "How about you explore the kids section of the library okay? There's not many people over there so no need to feel embarrassed." Toby knew that Jam often had some trouble being regressed in public so thankfully not only did he explain the situation to his co-workers but the kids section was also rather secluded as well so he wouldn't have to worry. Jam nodded as he dropped off of Toby's lap before bapping him one more time to get his attention. "Papa!" He said loudly as Toby turned around one more time. "Yes, pup?" He asked a little exasperated but still being patient with Jam. Jam twiddled his fingers together before asking. "Um can I hab my paci? An my juice n snacks?" Toby rummaged through his bag before fishing out Jam's paci and clip and clipped it onto his shirt. He also handed his snack that he packed for the little imp. "Just remeber you can't eat in the kids corner okay? So if your gonna eat anything just finish it here and then go." He said before ruffling Jam's hair and turning back to his computer and books.

After a quick snack time, Jam popped his paci in his mouth and threw away the plastic baggy it came in and walked over to the kids corner to explore. There were some books as well as headphones to listen to audiobooks. Jam loved the beanbags there most of all! He grabbed the biggest one he could find and dragged it over to the far corner (with much struggle) before then going over to the shelf and picking up some books that he liked, most of them were about animals and others were fantasy based. He got all comfy on his beanbag, with his paci and juice and started to read. He hadn't read just for fun in a while, usually only reading when he needed it for his jobs. But now? He just felt oddly relaxed and focused. Before he knew it Toby was already done with his work and came over to check on him who was intently reading. "Whatcha readin there pup?" Jam held out the pop up book to him excitedly. "You want me to read to you?" He asked amd Jam nodded. Toby picked Jam up and sat on the beanbag before placing Jam in his lap and started reading to him. Papa absolutely loved it when Toby read to him. And Toby loved reading to his little pup!

15 nominations pour LA DÉESSE DES MOUCHES À FEU au Gala Québec Cinéma 2021

Une autre année pas comme les autres pour le Gala Québec Cinéma, alors que les salles ont longtemps été fermées, ce qui n’a pas empêché une vingtaine de longs métrages de fiction de prendre l’affiche.

Dans la catégorie Meilleur film, on retrouve quatre des films qui ont été le plus vus et appréciés, soit Le club Vinland, La déesse des mouches à feu, My Salinger Year et Nadia Butterly, ainsi que Souterrain, dont la sortie a été maintes fois reportée, mais qui sera le film d’ouverture des Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma cette semaine.

Alignement semblable dans la catégorie Meilleure réalisation, avec Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette (La déesse des mouches à feu), Sophie Dupuis (Souterrain), Philippe Falardeau (My Salinger Year) et Benoit Pilon (Le club Vinland), mais l’industrie a préféré Daniel Roby (Target Number One) à Pascal Plante (Nadia Butterly).

Dans la catégorie Meilleur scénario, encore là, les gros joueurs sont tous là: Normand Bergeron, Benoit Pilon, Marc Robitaille – Le club Vinland, Sophie Dupuis – Souterrain, Philippe Falardeau – My Salinger Year, Catherine Léger – La déesse des mouches à feu, Daniel Roby – Target Number One.

La catégorie Révélation de l’année est l’une des plus intéressantes selon moi, car c’est un aperçu des visages marquants du cinéma des prochaines années. D’ailleurs, Émilie Bierre et Théodore Pellerin, en nomination cette année respectivement pour un premier rôle féminin et un rôle de soutien masculin, font partie des lauréats passés du prix Révélation. Donc, en 2021, les finalistes sont :  Kelly Depeault – La déesse des mouches à feu, Jasmine Lemée – Mon cirque à moi, Rosalie Pépin – Vacarme, Joakim Robillard – Souterrain et Arnaud Vachon – Le club Vinland.
