Rosemary's Baby Misunderstanding
It's the usual: Ellie and Dan get injured and reverted back to cores which Danny basically adopts inside his own to help protecting them.
Meanwhile, every single mages, wizards and magical-inclined person sees this young, high-school-age boy carrying what must be a sort of equivalent to Satan's babies except this particular Satan is not really Satan and is more of the High King of Infinity Realm I guess.

Quote
A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. The clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that's just how the world will come to an end: to general applause from wits who believe it's a joke.

love how Solar Opposites started out as a sitcom about two aliens who can't stand each other, stuck with their teenage clones (whom they also can't stand) & a toddler antichrist (whom they view as a sort of self-sufficient free-roaming hamster?) on a stupid planet they can't stand
and 4 seasons later it's a sitcom about a family of genderqueer aliens, headed by a gay couple in a happy & horny open marriage (with a graphic off-screen sex life, despite their canonical lack of genitalia?) teaching themselves to be okay parents to their 3 kids (whose Sci-Fi Antics now slightly-less-frequently revolve around wreaking havoc on human bystanders, and slightly-more-frequently revolve around alien-clone-sibling-bonding*), to the point that the central plot point becomes "We need to provide our toddler antichrist with a stable home environment."
(also the grumpy alien husband is too busy ingratiating his family with their suburban neighbors to even remember whom or what he dislikes. what is this show)

having thoughts about the veil and people's bad faith interpretations about the desire to see it brought down as some sort of misled leftist bloodthirst for violent revolution instead of fulfillment of the fundamental role of trickster gods in mythology and storytelling and how there seems to be, in both fans and the developers, a misunderstanding or perhaps just a disagreement of how solas was supposed to function within the narrative as a force of nature vs. as a person. my adderall just kicked in
#i think trick understood solas as a narrative device first and a character second#which was probably informed by gaider's inception of him as trickster god that would eventually need to show up in game for the plot#and only becoming solas the character in inquisition#mythological narrative device first character second#which is also like. the inherent tragedy of his character because the world sees him the exact same way#and mythal sees him the same way#and most importantly he sees himself the same way#and even more importantly the inquisitor did NOT see him that way. and that was like the whole point#but i think something got lost in the writing when the inquisitors perspective of him as Some Guy was introduced#because on a meta level people could not understand him as a force of change and only saw him as a person#which might have been humanizing and beneficial in-world#but in terms of the meta narrative people began to misunderstand his fundamental reason for existing as a character#which was to be a trickster god and act as trickster gods do#which is to bring about catastrophic change#and while it was good for the characters in the world to have his personhood supercede his godhood#his personhood also began to supercede his godhood to the writers#and this disconnect ended up causing them to betray his narrative purpose#and thus the narrative fell apart#you can screenshot this and post it in a reblog LOL#i always do this and then its too late for me to copy and paste it all

GO SPOILERS AHEAD (I mean... kinda spoilers?)
After all the set pics we saw over the last few days with David's and Michael's hair and overal appearance there were a lot of "Them turning human" theories going around.
I personally prefer both of them to stay Demon and Angel as they are but I also had an idea for a Human theory~
Some people are concerned about the "What happens when they die?" question because it would suggest that Azira and Crowley have to turn back to Heaven and Hell, so here is my theory:
What if, at the end of their adventure of the Finale, Azira and Crowley do something really big (big combined miracle maybe?) that turns every Angel and Demon in existence (including themselves) into humans? Changing the very core and structure of Heaven and Hell.
This way there would be no more your side - my side, black and white, good and evil. No more miracles.
Just humans.
This way they could make sure that there will be no more war between the two lots or apocalyptic plans that could endanger Earth and all the life on it.
It's like our universe and only God knows what will happen when we die, as the big mystery of life.

I love you, trans people with intellectual disabilities. You deserve to have the same opportunities as everybody else, and that's because you are a person. You deserve to be happy. Intellectually disabled trans people deserve the exact same respect, recognition, and love that (should be) afforded to everybody else.
Intellectually disabled trans people, you deserve to make your own decisions about your transness. You are allowed to want for transition or to change your name, clothes, hair, pronouns, or anything else. You deserve support and understanding. I hope you are able to receive that. You belong in this world as your true self. Your transness and your disability/disabilities are not bad things - they are good, and they are important.

*B-12 opens the roof and presumably allows plant life to grow inside the Walled City in the future, while eliminating the Zurks. The Walled City was closed off by humans, and humans allowed it to go to waste. Meanwhile, EVE brings humans back to the Earth so that they can repopulate it and replant things after they polluted it. I guess Earth isn't really a city, but like. Work with me here.
(Also, in case it isn't clear: the cat, WALL-E, Brightbeak/Fink, and Chell are the companions referenced in the diagram.)

crazy thing abt deanjo (one of many) is the confusion abt whether the narrative wants to assign her the role of little sister or love interest (or both lmao). as illustrated by her death scene when Dean kisses her once on the forehead (little sister) and once on the lips (love interest) like those two instincts will always work in concert and confuse and complicate one another. it's like even in this final moment her narrative category is flickering wildly back and forth. Is she an adult or is she babygirl forever. Answer quickly.

rewatched madoka magica again today bc i fucking hate myself and to absolutely no one’s surprise i went through all five stages of grief in a single evening
#let’s talk about sayaka miki for a second#genuinely the fact that her whole character is centered around tragedy almost to a shakespearean extent#she’s selfless and brave and values her justice and righteousness above all. calls herself an ally of justice#in fact i think it’s rather intriguing how her whole character is centered around “justice”#her story being a more twisted retelling of the original little mermaid#how she is initially portrayed as a very heroic and confident character even before becoming a magical girl. always shielding madoka#selling her soul to heal the boy she loved out of a selfless desire to see him well again#her being absolutely distraught abt being robbed of her humanity and betrayed by kyubey#she combats this harrowing realization by immersing herself in her duties not caring that she is slowly deteriorating in the process#becoming numb with pain and fighting recklessly and psychotically trying to drown out the pain#finally coming to the sickening conclusion that humanity doesn’t deserve her saving and she succumbs to a fate of her making#last words being “i was so stupid” which trumps her previous statement of “there’s no way i’d regret this”#ALSO? the fact that her costume and weapon are symbolic of a knight. she rly portrays this hero of justice who will protect and defend ☹️#i think abt the fact that homura said that sayaka’s wish was so selfless it was only a matter of time before she died#sayaka being the example of what happens to magical girls who go through the entire cycle and eventually become witches is so sad to me#genuinely just like. sick and twisted#very very fucked up.#characters who have their own misconstrued interpretation of “justice” or who are centered around justice in general.#you will always be dear to me.#sayaka reminds me a lot of akechi in some ways ngl#harboring an almost idealized vision of justice but it slowly rots and festers and corrupts their hearts the more immersed w it they become#actually losing their sanity when they fight bc of how much pain they’re in but refuse to acknowledge it until they break#refusing any help and wallowing in misery despite having ppl who love them and want to save them#last words are those expressing regret for being such a fool. for being ignoring#being used by yhe main villain as a stepping stone towards their true goal. they were merely a pawn#also doomed in every version of their reality. always doomed by the narrative no matter what choices they make#i have a type i fear#HAHAHAH ALSO the fact that they’re both dressed so regally compared to everyone else in their respective series#meant to portray them in a virtuous and princely light. only made more apparent by the sword being their weapon of choice#i’m gonna shut up now but they’re soo eerily similar its unnerving tbh 💀

further lawrence thoughts: the conclave is his trial, it's his test of character, his crucible and judgement. and, from a divine-will-as-narrative-force point of view, he's failed it!
and it was not because he was ambitious, in a small part of himself, that is not the sin itself. it is because he gives in to his despair, his narrow outlook, because he looks up at the last judgement and does not see the saints or eve or jesus or mary or god himself, his eyes are on the figure of the man descending into hell, entrapped and ensnared.
he let the win and make him something worse than what he could be. he wasn't able to look around him to one hundred + of his brothers and find a one of them to place his trust on.
the moment he places his faith in himself, despite himself, he is committing a sin. not of hubris or envy, even, but something more subtle and insidious and sadder.
from a purely divinely appointed narrative authorship, if he hadn't voted for himself, he might have ended up pope regardless. he might have been john the beloved, john the baptist, the one who makes new the church. he's steering the conclave beyond corruption; he's too busy dealing with human weakness.
mystery exists between certainties, but he has stopped searching for it. it is his obligation to focus on facts, reports, confessions, human failures; that is true, that is right and good. he is a faithful servant, the late pope's last faithful servant.
when he sits down with pen in hand, he's just looking for a way out and making the serpent's grip stronger with his struggle. he can't find his faith, he can't reach for guidance. from the start it is clear he is not able to find anything to lay his faith upon, much less himself.
the men who are dangerous are the ones who want it. it doesn't matter why they want it, why they reach out for it. envy, pride, lust, those are sins; but so is despair.
the moment he stepped forward holding a ballot with his own signature on it, ready to swear his is the righteous name that should be witnessed by god and counted down, he betrayed the conclave he was steering. and the old pope. and his own calling, by proposing himself in his heart and to the world as the best possible shepherd of the holy see. he made a false idol of his own name, and didn't even believe in it.
he betrayed himself. the whole conclave was a test, and again: he failed!
and the ground shapes, and the ceiling crumbles.
he's not worthy. the chalice passes on. some men aren't made to drink deep. they're the hand that holds it steady, the ones who fill it up with good wine. it is important work. someone has to do it, someone has to steer it on.
and the thing is. well the thing is, if there is a benevolent god in this narrative, it is in this: it cast him down before he could cast his ballot, it kept thomas lawrence from ruining himself entirely. the ground shakes. the ceiling crumbles. here is something for the doubtful to believe in.
