Thank you @cigarettesandinevitablebetrayal for tagging me <3 Because the F1 season is starting this weekend, I just had to share a snippet from my F1 AU. I don't want to spoiler too much, so it's a short, strategically cut snippet.

“Belgium was uneventful.”

“So uneventful that it has left you with trouble focusing?” Nat puts the cap on her fountain pen before putting it aside. “I know you, Ava. I know when something is bothering you. Are you sure you’re alright?”

Ava sighs at the genuine concern on Nat’s face. “I’m fine, I promise. Like I said, it was quiet, and I’m not used to it being this quiet anymore.”

“Worried about the calm before the storm?” Morgan asks as she walks into the library. She leans against the table at which Ava and Nat are sitting. “You might be onto something. I heard they’re sending an alpha unit away all of a sudden.”

Nat raises her eyebrows. “I didn’t know you had contacts among the local units.”

Morgan grins. “Oh, I had some extensive contact.” At Nat’s sigh, she shrugs. “Anyway, they were called away yesterday evening, said something about Lummo or Luman or something like that.”

Good luck figuring out which!#Yes it is canon that Otta is into Women. YES she dates younger women and dumps them when they age.#This isn't a fan made bit. It's real.#Dungeon Meshi has no romance but it does have canonically queer characters.#Shipping is fine and all but it is a running theme in the series than *everyone* who expresses romantic interest in someone -#-finds that love unrequited.
