Just for funsies here's the two mountain dew cans I TIG welded together back in school, even though obviously I did a pretty terrible job it was the first and only attempt and I was the only one in the class who didn't just melt straight through the cans entirely hah. Aluminum that thin has the texture of wet cardboard

So one of the girls in the newer classes has been sorta clumsy and makin very weird mistakes since she started but I didn't think anything of it bc yk she's new its whatever but like. I come in tonight and my instructors asked me if I smelled booze on her bc 5 different people noticed and smelled it by the torches. Specifically the torches, where we all usually see her making said mistakes. Girl

#like its one thing to smoke weed and then come in but like #being drunk in a welding lab is like asking for an accident to happen #im just surprised bc she hasnt even been bere a full 2 months and apparently shes almost caused more accidents than the ones I saw firsthand #and its worse bc i see her drive in here so that means shes either comin to class drunk or leavin like that #its just concerning i hope she chills on that for her safety and all of ours like jfc #mag.txt

my local council is doing 10% discounts on courses at the adult education centre and i'm here like "should i learn to weld?"
