That feeling of being watched 👀

These brave adventurers have traveled the world, explored jungles and ancient ruins, but they have never felt unease quite like this. The air was thick, the silence too heavy, and their instincts told them they were not alone. Hidden in the shadows of dense foliage, barely visible, stood motionless observers. 👀

This is my entry for the #sirdorkplant challenge by Sirdork. The task is to incorporate real plant life into toy photography. 🌱 What may seem like ordinary plants to us is a dense jungle for minifigures. Initially, I just wanted to capture these two adventurers exploring the wilderness, but then I thought of adding two hidden watchers in the background to make the scene more intriguing.

Aleksander Doba, a Polish adventurer, was the first person to "row" the Atlantic from Europe to New York, completely alone and without assistance. In 2017, at age 70, he kayaked 5,000 miles from the port of Le Conquet, France, to the shores of New York, braving storms, strong currents and the loneliness of the ocean for 110 days. His feat demonstrated an astonishing level of physical and mental endurance, inspiring generations of adventurers. Prior to this last kayaking expedition Doba won the gold medal at the Open Academic Polish Championships in Whitewater Kayaking when he was 57 years old and defended the title the following year.

Doba died while climbing Kilimanjaro on February 22, 2021. According to eyewitness reports he felt well the entire journey but after reaching the top asked for a two-minute break before posing for a photo. He then sat down on a rock and "just fell asleep". He was 74 years old.

Okay, so I happened to look at the quest board the adventurers set up in the roundabout (against the HOA's objections—I mean the quest board is against the HOA's objections, not me looking at it, although I'm just against the HOA's objections in general, I guess), and I noticed one of the quests listed is "defeat the green slime".

Which... I assume refers to me? I don't know of any other green slimes in the area. Which maybe helps explain why so many adventurers have been attacking me.

So I guess I'm a quest now. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I mean, I guess it's actually sort of flattering in a way, but... I'd still kind of prefer people not be encouraged to "defeat" me.
