I keep having the thought of Danny and Peter being in the same universe just growing up away from dick in their earlier years . Both are his sons, he found out and they live as brothers with him. They connect because they both feel like they have odd ones out.

THEN some BS happens and now they’re in an alternate universe. Dick is still their father, but they’re both dead in this one and dick never learned about their existence so the bat family just sees these two random rogues ( maybe they got pinned for a crime they didn’t commit.)

Anyways, the part that keeps playing in my head is, it’s been at least a month. They’re tired cause they’re always running and Peter has a very small breakdown. He’s crying while talking to Danny laying on the floor of a abandoned building where they can finally get some rest, but not for long.

“ I miss uncle Damien, I’m supposed to be at the zoo” sob “he promised” He starts coughing, trying to catch his breath, “ I miss our annoying grandpa, always asking too many questions” this gets a giggle out of Danny “I miss dad Danny…I’m sorry for crying…” “it’s OK I miss him too.”

Danny doesn’t promise to get them back home because he’s scared, hasn’t gotten any sleep and doesn’t know when is the next time he’ll ever see a lab to even try. He’s just a clueless big brother now. So he let dread fill him as he hears. Peter tried to gather himself before they have to move again. 

Little did they know Robin listening in about to capture them, but paused when he saw Danny‘s face. Eerily similar to his brothers. He just heard this obviously a child’s partner start crying talking about their dad. You can’t forget COMs so now the whole family is silent.

Happy never forgets a face. Never. It's what makes him extra valuable to someone like Tony Stark. Tony Stark, who runs Stark Industries. Tony Stark, who is head of the Carbonell Italian mob; though, while there is some speculation, it's never been proven.

Happy had a system. He categorized people into color groups.

Green for these people are no bodies and didn’t touch the crime world and were safe to interact with.

Yellow for people who are some bodies but won't cauae trouble but have connections.

Red are people who have connections and could cause trouble.

Then their were Black. Those are the unknowns, and they could be as bad as the reds. People a little too clean. Or people who maybe could be someone undercover. Not enough information on them.

Before every convention, Happy makes a point to do background checks on everyone. He memorized all the photos of the people attending. Sure, maybe Friday helps break into the databases to get the photos, but he is just trying to protect Tony.

So when Happy saw Tony talking to someone, he was already going through the catalog in his mind to place the person. Catching Tony's eye, he touched his black tie to silently signal the group the person falls in. Doesn’t mean it's gonna stop Tony, but it just means he is gonna be a bit more cautious. Hopefully.

Peter Parker. 20 years old. Just finished with his masters at Columbia University in Biochemical Engineering. Mother was a scientist as well. Mary Fitzpatrick. Irish. No father listed on the birth certificate. She married another scientist 4 years later, Richard Parker. Both deceased. Plane crash. Italian Aunt and Uncle raised him. Uncle died later. Shot at a Bodega. Not their area, so not tied to them. Trained as a gymnast. Big brown eyes, wavy brown curls. Smart. Cute. Flexible. Just Tony's type.

But something nags at Happy as he watches Tony and Peter talk.

He glances around the room when he spots them.

The Winter Soldier leaned against a wall, looking around the room on the left side, looking a little too casual. At the refreshment table section was The Captain. He worked for the government but has ties to the Irish mob, though, like Tony. Couldn't be proven. He was staring at Peter and Tony with a frown, not subtle at all.

Then it hits. See, there were rumors that The Captain had a kid. Had them young before he was involved with potential mob connections. And he recalls another rumor going around that there was a small riff between The Captain and The Winter Soldier, a love interest that was not approved.

He has to get Tony away from this Peter Parker.

i absolutely LOVE peter in gotham fics but one ething i want to address is the absolute untapped potential of miles morales in gotham fics. heres my idea:

first off peter has no genetic relation to the wayne’s or dick at all. i SEE the potential of richard parker and richard grayson and i realize how fucking good it can be, but i literally put fics down when they mention it, solely because i ship peter with jason, and then dick being his dad ruins things. like, a lot. what’s worse is when it’s a spider-hood fic and they STILL include it. like that’s fucking incest??????? batcest in the big twenty five 💔

anyway, i think we should keep peter with clark in metropolis and find some weird way for him to still meet jason. i like writer jason todd so we can make him a journalist, idk. you could even make peter first start out in gotham, meet jason, they click (not immediately, love my slow burn), jason finds out peter has a love for photography n eventually recommends him applying for the daily planet back in metropolis, eventually peter DOES do this, and even more eventually jason fucking leaves gotham for him (big deal). or keep it to them in metropolis IDC.

point is, spider-hood slow burn fic is the first book.

then have miles morales crash into gotham somehow and meet tim and duke and a slightly older damian (i’d say about 15). miles created a life for himself, puts himself in school, and tries so hard to find a way back to his world. then make miles find family in them (found family trope, while missing the absolute fuck out of his family) and then meet peter through jason and be like ‘yo wtf!?!? you’re dead.’ and then peter be like ‘do ik you??’ or ‘miles morales… why does that name sound familiar??’

you can even do a romance with anyone of them (depending on the miles you chose, idk how old comic miles is but i think ITSV one is 16/15), i don’t care. i just better see miles spray painting alleyways with damian at least once.

if you do ITSV miles, you can have him thinking the entire time when he can’t find a way home that his dad is dead. AND THEN after getting so close to the batfam and thinking for MONTHS that his dad was dead, miles finds out that time on his world runs differently (think life happens by cdelphik, like two months on the DC world is one day in miles’ world). so his dad is actually alive and after getting help from damian and tim, he finds out a way to get to his world but he’s pretty sure it’s a one way ticket and he doesn’t want to leave the family he made but he can’t let his true family fall apart.

then a third fic where the multiverse is collapsing and miles world disintegrates and his family actually DOES die, and he’s the sole survivor :)

someone make this a series PLEASE. i am searching the edge of the earth for good spider in gotham fics and i cant fucking find a single one :(.

Steve's never called Bucky 'Jamie' in his life. Bucky has never been called 'Jamie' in his whole life. It wasn't really a thing back in the 40s, not like it is now. There'd maybe the occasional Jim, Jimmy or Jimbo if Dum Dum was looking to rile the man up and get his hat stolen later, but never 'Jamie.'

Yet as this guy, this Peter fellow who came from the future- or another universe? Some kind of mix between the two? His head hurts thinking about it- spots Bucky, their Bucky, entering the lab in his peripherals he holds out a hand behind him without taking his eyes off his project; throwing out a "Hey Jamie, pass me the soldering pen, please? It's on the left next to a ginormous spool of wire."

Bucky, decidedly their Bucky and not this guy's 'Jamie' stops dead and his blank mask drops, eyes going wide as saucers.

Peter's fingers wiggle and when no tool appears in them, he looks up. His playful frown drops into genuine stammering embarrassment when he clocks the chrome arm.

"Oh god, I am so sorry I uh- I thought you were my Buck- I mean our, our! From my world, my one, not- As in not yours, not you. He's not my anything, even though I guess he is my Bucky it's just not uh-"

Bucky cuts the man off by picking up the tool in question and flicking it his way, which Peter catches swiftly out of the air. Steve tries to get a read on Buck, but his face has gone blank again, back to hiding behind the Winter Soldier training.

Another preview, this time of an AU I'm writing and the reason the installment the fic my last teaser was from hasn't been posted yet... Whoops. It's set during the new timeline Steve created when he told his past self Bucky was alive, while Peter is from another timeline. It's a bit convoluted but it's the multiverse, when isn't that convoluted??

Opinions on Jason Todd being the multiversal equivalent to Uncle Ben 👀

i see the appeal, but i don't like it personally. they're just two fundamentally different characters now that i can't equivalate them with each other. maybe i could see the tie in with the both of them dying tragically? furthering the plot for another character? but at the same time, that'd make universal equivalents for millions of characters

peterhobie friendship is one of my favorite spidey friendships in comics and i really love how much they care for each other. how different yet very similar they are to one another. the narrative foils.
