Today was the Elisabeth staged concert with the OG Hungarian cast in Budapest. (And I have some notes that nobody asked for.)

It's marvellous that even after almost thirty years since the premiere, the original cast was able to deliver such a powerful performance vocally that I'm still buzzing a little. Now the negatives...

I know it's a staged concert, there was never meant to be a full set, but we only had these huge-ass LED walls, and they were godawful.

The stage direction was probably "just wander around aimlessly," cause most of the time that's what they did (which is a shame because the director was none other than "Seine Majestät der Tod," Szabó P. Szilveszter himself).

Speaking of whom, even as a fifty-something man, his stage presence could still easily outshine any young Tod, and his voice is still incredible. But for some reason somebody decided to leave his original genderfluid, glitter makeup, drag queen-fae costume behind in the past, and instead he was dressed up as a tesco priest who was also a raccoon... What's the point of a Hungarian production if there are no sparkly Hungarians, hmm?

Also... what about Mayerling, you ask? Yeah. Well, basically young Rudolf killed old Rudolf with a wooden sword. They no-homoed so hard Death was reported missing.

My Jack Sparrow headcanons

still too busy to draw another illustration i have planned so i will just post some of my stupid Jack headcanons, most of them are pretty short but please keep in mind they are mine and it's ok if you don't agree. Also some of these are based on The Price of Freedom or other POTC books!!!

Jack drinks LOTS but doesn't get drunk as easily as he used to in the past. When he was an honest sailor working for The East India Trading Company he was basically on a five year alcohol deficiency, unable to drink as much as he would like to. So, when he came back to his senses and became a pirate again he obviously also came back to his drinking habits, stronger than before. Over time, rum was flowing in his veins SO often it basically became a part of him and he is not as affected as other people would be.

He doesn't sleep often, you would rarely ever catch Jack sleeping or getting a short shut-eye which is a result of his constant HIGH awareness of the surroundings and probably the rum flowing in his blood. Though when he DOES sleep, he snores incredibly loudly but he is a very light sleeper.

Jack adores collecting various trinkets from every single one of his adventures as a memento - not for value purposes but more as a trophy of sorts. Some of them are indeed of higher value while other things you could consider trash even - but for him all of them are priceless.

Following the last point, Jack has tons of tattoos resembling his life - a tattoo of Davy Jones's heart, aztec gold or the fountain of youth. Even the ones from his childhood! like the sword of Cortez or Fitzwilliam's watch.

From constant exposure to the sun, Jack has sunfreckles all over his face (and his shoulders too) which annoys him at times because he claims it "makes him look softer than he needs to be"

He knows how to cook, well enough to keep him alive and prevent from death caused by starvation which is caused by the fact he had ran away from home very early on in his life so he could be independent. So he kind of had to learn basic survival skills.

He's EXTREMELY well educated in terms of geography or literature even if he doesn't show it that much - Jack used to love reading books though he doesn't do it as often because i imagine his eyesight got much worse. Whenever he wants to read or overall see something better he squints his eyes like a rat.

Jack has naturally long lashes, like, very very long lashes.

Whenever he's thinking hard/coming up with a plan of some sorts - he twirls his hair.

He wanted to wear a dress unironically AT LEAST ONCE in his life which is followed by another headcanon - you can refer to Jack with any pronouns you want and he won't mind at all. In my opinion he's veryyy genderfluid

If Jack wants something really badly from a person who's close to him, he does a "puppy dog eyes" trick on them because he's a menace to us all,,,,,

he'd be caught off guard by someone calling him "pretty". people used alot of words to describe him. words like scary, unruly, rude, loud, obnoxious, the list goes on. it happened so often that he got used to those kind of adjectives being attached to him.

there was also his toxic masculinity making things harder for him, as usual. he always thought "pretty" was something reserved for girls, and was meant to be taken as an insult if it was said to a man. he remembers a few of his physically weaker/shorter members being called a pretty boy by other gangs as a way to tease them.

he was trying to work on it though, with alot of help from chihiro and taka. being a man wasn't just about how you looked, it was about how you carried yourself and treated others, he needed to remind himself of that. even if it was a slow improvement, he was still making progress.

so when you stared dreamily at him as he dried his hair while letting out a big yawn, and you whispered "you're such a pretty boy" in a voice so full of love and admiration, his brain fully short circuited.

i feel like how he'd react after recovering from the initial flusteredness would depend on how long you two have known each other. but either way, he's definitely gonna blush and be super shy. this is mondo we're talking about!

if things were still new and fresh between you two, his nervous habit of yelling would activate, saying that he wasn't pretty, you were pretty! have you seen yourself? you were the prettiest pretty to have ever prettied! why are you calling him pretty instead?!

he sounds angry, but you knew he wasn't, this was just how he reacted to something he wasn't used to. you remember this is how he acted as well when you called him handsome at the beginning of your relationship. you just continued to admire him as he carried you in front of a mirror to show yourself just how pretty you were.

now, if you two have known each other for awhile, he'd react much less explosively, looking away with a blush as he pouted, grumbling "im not pretty..." under his breath while he avoided eye contact with you.

you simply continued to watch him with a smile while his face turned more and more red at your attention, trying to ignore the amused and loving look you gave him.

and he'll throw the towel at your face if you try to tease him about his blushing, resorting back to yelling about how you should stop looking at him like that, the blushing continuing to deepen as he storms off to calm himself down in the bathroom.

he just needed some time to warm up to you more, and to also warm up to those kind of words being attached to him. he'll get there eventually, you just needed to be patient and gentle with him.

the final stage is you two knowing each other for a long time, being completely used to the others attitude and sharing vulnerable things that youd never feel comfortable sharing with anyone else.

if you call him a pretty boy then, he'll still blush and act bashful at first, but will wear a cocky smile after he recovers from the initial reaction. "hmph. damn right im a pretty dude, and dont you forget it!" he lets out a laugh as he continues to dry his hair with a happy look and blush on his face.

as the time you spent together goes on, he'd be more and more accepting of new things you introduce him to. you helped him step out of his comfort zone and grow out of bad habits without rushing him or forcing him.

while he still thinks the adjective "pretty" doesn't fit him well, a compliment from his beloved is still a compliment from his beloved at the end of the day. he'll happily take it, after alot of nervous shouting and while wearing a red face.

and, you didn't hear this from me, but he's super flattered at being called pretty. he thinks about it at night, smiling to himself as he remembers how lucky he is to have someone that genuinely tries to understand him, and loves him for who he actually is. he loved you so much, he hopes you knew that.

I don't get my fandom. They want more queer rep. The main cast is a bisexual femme woman with a preference for women, an aroace gender-indifferent AMAB man, a genderfluid all-pronouns using AMAB person with a beard who wears a dress, and a biromantic asexual bigender AMAB man who is agender + male. The supporting cast has a lesbian girl, a middle-aged ace het woman living semi-romantically with another woman who is the main cast's (emotional) adoptive mom, and a ambiguously queer character whose gender is never really confirmed or discussed.

A big criticism I also see is "the writing team is all cishet". One, we don't know that, someone could be closeted. Two, why is that a problem? I think it's great that they went, "this makes sense for who this character is. We don't have to force them to be cishetallo just because that's what you normally see in animation. Web animation can be different. This is who this person is and that's fine."

I'm 19. I talked to my half brother, who is 38, about this and he actually choked on his coffee. He said when he was my age, nothing like this was easily accessible for him. It would have been jaw-dropping representation for him. I asked about the writers being cishetallo and he said, "who fucking cares? I would've moved Heaven and Earth to see these characters hanging out and just fucking existing back then!"

I know you get a metric fuckton of asks, but I'd love to hear your take on this. You've been in the queer community way longer than I have (I've barely started interacting with queer people IRL; I grew up in rural Wyoming) and I do wonder what this debacle looks like to people in other age groups. I'd also be curious to know what older people would've thought if they'd seen this friend group in media when they were younger. I know it means a lot to me. But I feel like I don't get what it would have meant back then.

Well, written up like this, it might get an eye-roll for sounding like Captain Planet casting. (You know "One of A and one of B and one of C" in a way that feels kind of forced.)

But yes, I think most older queer people when looking at the actual canon would be like "Sweet! A cast full of queer characters!"

I grew up somewhere shockingly liberal for the 90s next door to some old, married lesbians (who still live there, as it happens). It still sucked for teenagers. I had an okay time, but I was always hearing about other teens having an awful time even as the adults in the same communities did okay. And that's a very, very good version of what it was like in the 90s.

I did have access to queer media, vastly more access than most teens had. It was still mostly art films, boring coming out memoir, and The Pain of Being a Minority serious literature. What I wanted was genre fiction with a romance b-plot between queer characters I found hot. There was a bit of that, but not much.

I don't know that I personally would have killed for the exact set of queer rep in a modern show, but that makes sense. There are plenty of identities that present about the same but where people have internal reasons for choosing one or another. There are different forces making one queer identity or another more embattled at a given point in time. So while broadly similar queer people have always existed, there actually are fads in identity to an extent. You weren't interested in keeping relationships. At this point, you couldn't count the amount of people you'd been with. Even your public list of relationships was endless. It wasn't exactly something hidden to the public; you talked about it in interviews often. Asking if you'd found anyone worthy of commitment. There's been a few close calls, but you were always scared to tie down. What if you got hurt in the process? So you always ended things to keep yourself safe. Not letting yourself get too close to anyone.

Then there was Chappell. A girl who was determined she could change you. You were scared of commitment? Well, she'd kill that fear. Send it up in flames. Anything she had to do to call you hers. You'd spent a few nights with her. But you could tell she was growing restless with this 'friends with benefits' relationship you guys had going on.

And when she finally stopped you to talk about it, you weren't entirely surprised. Of course she would want to talk to you. You could tell this meant more to her than just hookups. It was a certain look in the eyes they all had. "What can I say to make you stay?" She asked, you felt your breath hitch. Stay? Staying wasn't your style. It never was.

"I was born with a broke heart, baby. I know you think you can fix-" She wouldn't even let you finish your sentence, already kissing you. Your eyes widened but your lips moved against hers. Despite knowing it would only make it harder to leave again. Maybe that's what she was doing, trying to get you on her hook.

"Please..." Chappell murmured against your lips as the kiss slowly parted. You looked into her eyes, biting the inside of your lip. You couldn't resist her when she was like this. Chappell may as well have been down on her hands and knees. Your hand moved towards her, but then you held yourself back. Releasing your breath.

"I'm sorry. I'm.. busy." Lame excuse. You turned your back to her, missing how her eyes dulled. The excitement deflating as easily as it had come.

It's nearly been two weeks now since Chappell last saw you in person. She'd been stalking your social medias more than she would ever admit. She was even doing it this very moment. Even though she should have been focused on this artists event. Part of her hoped... maybe you would be here. However it was rare for you to go to things like these. You preferred the interviews, award shows and dance parties. Events? Especially ones where you had to listen to a million speeches- yeah, no. The most you could tolerate when it came to speeches was the award shows. And that was enough for you.

Chappell felt a hand on her back before Reneé Rapp sat next to her, giving her a gentle smile when she'd seen her looking at your media. "You're playing with fire, Chappell." Reneé warned, a sigh leaving her lips. She herself had had her minimal moments with you. If Reneé couldn't leash you, she honestly didn't know who could.

"I'll put it out." Chappell brushed off the comment, looking from her phone to Reneé. An almost desperate love in her eyes," I can fix them."

Chappell frowned, the words starting to sink in. But she pushed them away, not letting it demotivate her. She'd have you in the end.

A few more days pass. Chappell still hasn't seen you, but she knew how to get your attention. She had the perfect opportunity lined up with an upcoming interview...

Depending on how comfortable you are doing them, here a few more and a few less obvious things to try and help with your dysphoria:

Wear jewellery. Buy yourself a few rings, necklaces, and/or bracelets, depending on what you like to wear. The great thing about this is that there a lot of options, so you can go for more subtle or bold accessories depending on how comfortable you are! Typically, the more dainty, bold and shiny jewellery is associated with femininity.

Try nail polish. This is also typically seen as feminine, so it might help to try it. You could go for neutral, less obvious tones at first if you're unsure about it. There is also a see-through top coat that gives your nails a shine, it's not noticeable if you don't know it's there.

If you have short hair, grow out your hair a bit. Of course it's obvious, but it's also really easily variable depending on what you want. There are tons of hair styles that are more on the androgynous side and don't require long hair, so you could style it more feminine on certain days :)

Wear a bra. It's under your clothing, so no one can see it, but even so, for some people it can help a lot with gender dysphoria. I would recommend a bralette or a soft sports bra, those are less obvious ones to wear.

These are all the tips I could think of, I really hope you find something to help with your dysphoria and I wish you all the best on your journey🫶

okay, starting with the main element of this layout: Mangle, from fnaf. really, i could've chosen a multitude of characters to be "representing" me in this ( hell, dr. flug is RIGHT THERE ! ), however.... my boyfriend found a fanmade fnaf series i absolutely loved as a child, we watched it together and the obsession spoke louder.... but really, having ended up with choosing a fnaf character is just in character for me i guess. fnaf was EXTREMELY important to me when i was younger and continues important to me up until these days, and i remember my most favorite character ever since i first found fnaf ( or at least fnaf 2 ) : mangle. i absolutely adore it's design, from the fox design to being almost completely broken and torn apart, and yet i still adore the fanmade designs of it being complete. i have no doubts mangle would've been my favorite character if i was a child in the fnaf universe, along with foxy, then lolbit if i even got to see it.. and that makes me think i'd just love every fox / wolf animatronic. ANYWAYS, mangle speaks a lot to me, though i am not the best at explaining it. i did find recently that a lot of other non binary people ( genderfluid creature speaking here ) do also like mangle, and it's funny considering the confusion with it's gender and how it's only described as "yes". and really, as a child with some problems, seeing that animatronic having been all torn apart spoke quite a bit to me. and i loved how it crawled around, i would've absolutely adored to be able to do that.

another thing that is probably quite noticeable here is the amount of stars, the stars and the moon are both things i ADORE, i am happy whenever i see stars and the moon tends to calm me down a lot. though i didn't sneak any moons there this time, i did also want to say it is important to me.

as for the pictures on the layout: gerard way, dr. flug and mana sama. gerard way and mana sama are there to represent my music taste, as i do spend almost the entire day with music in my headphones. though i don't know much about the bands or members themselves, i couldn't even tell you my favorite song in general right away if you asked me, their music is still something i enjoy a lot, and decided to put there. dr. flug is there because OH BOY do i see myself in him. hell. anytime someone asks me a character that represents me, it's him that comes to mind right away. flug has also made me almost change career plans to either a scientist or an airplane pilot, but the passion for psychology is still quite strong.....

as for the smaller details, my melody-decorated phone is there because i do enjoy sanrio characters and it fit well. the minecraft sword is there because minecraft has been quite present in my life, either by playing it or by consuming content about it ( and with that i mean minecraft series that are absolutely gave me will to live, either themed around already existing things like fnaf, spider-man, the flash or tokyo ghoul, or created from challenges, series about exploring mods or series with a story created by certain youtubers ). going a bit more off the game in itself, herobrine. herobrine. oh boy did younger me ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM. i do still find him quite cool do not get me wrong, i have mods installed in every minecraft world of mine just to have him there as my friend...

now. yes, this does need to be separated. the a hat in time logo and fox mask. i do feel like i could've put more of a hat in time there, because it IS quite important to me despite not having been part of my childhood. THE OBSESSION i had with this was GIGANTIC. and it does sometimes still hit me again. i specifically thing i could've added more of the conductor, as he is my most favorite character there and an enormous comfort character to me! granted, he's in the logo, but eh.. regardless, you can't have me without at least a sprinkle of a hat in time. it's law. made by who? idk, someone... a hat in time's aesthetic, characters, levels, game, music, speaks a lot to me. i absolutely adore the game, really. i couldn't just not add anything a hat in time related in this!

anyways.... i should end my yapping here. i think i've spoken quite a bit, and i do have class tomorrow and i should do my night routine before sleeping. i'm not gonna sleep now, but i wanna have some time to talk to my boyfriend before that.

Genderfluid culture is flip-flopping between the decision on HRT and all that stuff; somedays my decision seems to be 'YES, i need this, holy hell', and others my decision is 'mmmm...maybe, itd be nice but i also don't care', and other OTHER days my decision is 'no, im good, i think im good the way i am :)' only to get smacked in the face with the first decision again with an intense wave of dysphoria ;-;'

Seriously, I don't know if I do or don't want to do anything like that, is that a common thing other Genderfluid people debate about with themselves?

Also, do you or anyone else have any tips on how to handle dysphoria related to things that arent easily able to be fixed? ( voice, height, ect, but voice and height are my 2 biggest things ) sorry for the longer ask!

yeah I struggle with wanting both all the time this is something very very common for most fluid folks

As for altering height—I genuinely have no idea. Most of it is up to genetics but I’m sure there is some way to do something about it. I did see these like, shoe implants to make you taller? Not sure how well those work though. Also platform heels/heels in general are a good go-to for height.

for voice, I found this video back when I did a little voice training—although be warned, when you at least try to do the deeper voice training, it HURTS your throat/around the area of your vocal chords.

Here’s a video I found for making the voice deeper, not the exact one I was using. She talks a lot so you can skip to 2:30 and not miss much. However it does use the same techniques I used
