GHOSTS OF THE PAST (Batfam x neglected hero reader)
III𓂃› SPIDER
Tumblr media
Warning: violence, swearing, sensitive topics, bad things, spelling mistakes (English is not my first language) and the reader has black hair and blue eyes (sorry), female reader!, I accept criticism, but please don't be rude, everything is fictional!
Hey guys! I'm really sorry it took me so long to post (I was sorting out some things in my life). well, enjoy the chapter!♡
Tumblr media
Clark really didn't know what he was getting himself into.
He had expected to come to New York to do a simple interview for the Daily Planet, write the report and spreadsheet right here while eating at a café and if possible bring back some souvenirs for Lois and Jon.
Fighting a supervillain was definitely not in his plans.
It had happened out of nowhere, while he was waiting for the meeting with the businessman, the urgent news on television warning about a monster attacking the city made him leave urgently. He could solve this and finish it in time.
He just didn't know that he wouldn't need to solve it.
While flying, now as Superman, he easily found the villain, it wasn't very difficult to see him in fact. He was the size of a building of at least nine or ten stories, his skin was rocky and hard, made purely of stone. Clark was about to attack the giant when he heard a scream.
Looking through the villain a helicopter was in the way, the pilot tried to maneuver away but they would be enveloped in the confusion. Using his speed, Clark tried to get closer to the helicopter, however it was not enough since it was still far away.
The rocky hand would catch the vehicle before him.
Well, he is not alone.
Before the walking rock caught the propeller and possibly destroyed the vehicle something got attached to the hand and pulled it up, bringing the villain's focus to another place, his distraction was enough for him to catch the helicopter. He noticed as he moved away that what had stopped the giant was... a web? He followed with his gaze the path of the white rope and saw a figure pass quickly on it.
What?
Leaving the helicopter on top of a landing area of a nearby building, he approached the frightened journalists. "Are you hurt?"
The one who answered was the cameraman, who was still breathing heavily, "N-no, Mr. Superman. We're fine-"
"IT'S HER! TYLER FILM, FILM!" The woman's excitement made the man quickly grab his camera. She looked at him and gave a shy smile while holding the microphone, perhaps a little embarrassed by her euphoria. "Oh, Superman, thank you very much. It's just that we never get clear images of her, so you can understand our excitement."
She? She who?
No one needed to answer his question because when he looked at the monster he saw the "she".
A super heroine
Her figure swayed between the giant and the buildings. She wore a suit that covered her entire body, leaving no room to see any of her features. All Clark could see was that she was short, perhaps indicating that she was a teenager.
The monster tried to grab her with its free hand, moving much faster than it had when it was with the helicopter. She, however, brought her webbed wrist towards the giant's face, causing him punched his own face. Swinging away from him, she taunted, her voice echoing off the buildings. "Hey big guy, is that all you know how to do? For someone so tough, you're softer than jelly!"
Hit a nerve, for sure.
"Who is she?" He asked the man who was filming the action with the reporter, even in a situation like that the cameraman looked at the heroine with a glint in his eye, a glint that intrigued Clark.
"Her? She's Spider-Woman."
Spider Woman, he had never heard of this superheroine, but that didn't matter now.The "Spider Woman" swung again on her webs at the stone man's aggression towards her. Superman moved away from the reporters and headed towards the brute. He was quick to bump his fist with the giant's, preventing him from punching a building. The action made the heroine finally notice the Kryptonian. She widened the white eyes of the mask when she saw him flying. "Superman?"
She hung from a building, climbing the glass to get closer to him, she looked at the monster and then at him, her head spinning until she realized something, knowing that he would help her she addressed him. "Hey, Superman. Can you immobilize him for me for at least a few seconds?"
The Kryptonian looked at her, hesitating a little, but then a smile appeared on his lips "Leave it to me."
They moved together at that moment. Clark used his freezing breath on the stone legs, freezing them and immobilizing him to the ground. With the giant still, the spider woman climbed on his back and reached his neck. While the monster struggled, he saw her take a syringe and apply it to the rocky neck. With the liquid entering the monster's veins, he began to scream. Clark was about to intervene when the thunderous scream stopped.
Slowly, pieces of stone fell from the giant, and when they found their end on the ground, they turned into sand, being carried away by the wind. Little by little, the monster began to disintegrate until there was nothing left of him, just a cloud of dust in the place. Approaching to see the damage, he went down and came across the individuals.
The villain, once gigantic and grotesque, was now a thin and small man, passed out in the heroine's arms, while his breathing stabilized, Clark for the first time observed Spider-Woman up close, without being in the heat of battle.
The costume she wore was outlined in black and golden, the fabric was a mix of a dull color and another bright color, the symbol of a spider displayed proudly on her chest, the hood covered the mask on her face, making it difficult to see the white eyes of the mask. What intrigued him most was that it was not common fabric, since when he tried to use his x-ray vision he could not see Spider-Woman's identity.
She certainly knew how to hide her identity.
Just like someone he knew.
"Looking at he now, he doesn't look like a villain."
"And he isn't, they forced him, he's just an ordinary citizen." The dust slowly cleared, now revealing the street they were on. "Honestly, it's a surprise to see you here, shouldn't you be in Metropolis?"
Clark started to sweat a little. True, he should be in Metropolis, not New York, but he couldn't just watch everything on TV, there was a villain attacking the city! And he didn't know New York had a heroine to protect them! How careless of him. "Yeah, actually, I was..."
"was?"
"I-I flew past here! That's it." Spider-woman looked at him before starting to laugh, well at least he tried to hide it, in fact the excuse had been pretty bad.
"Okay, I'll take this as truth, you must have your reasons, don't you, Mr. Clark?"
The aforementioned froze, looking at the spider, who stood up carrying the injured man. The sounds of sirens were heard in the distance, indicating that the police were coming. "What?"
This time, it was the spider woman who froze, realizing her carelessness too late. She looked at him, and even with the mask on her face, he could have sworn a bead of sweat was on his forehead. "Ah, I and my big mouth."
"Do you know my identity? How did you-"
"L-look, I swear it wasn't intentional, seriously! I have... my reasons to know, but I promise! I didn't tell anyone and I won't tell anyone." Superman just looked at her in astonishment, it wasn't intentional? How did she find out then? While the police and ambulance finally arrived, the woman was quick to hand the man over to the police and briefly explained everything, she distanced herself from the police, ready to leave as quickly as possible when he approached her.
"Who are you? Like, really?" She looked at him, clearly anxious to get out of there. "That's... a secret, but like I said, I won't tell anyone, don't worry."
She pulled away from him again, releasing a web from her wrist, already trapping her in a building to resume her run. But before that, she turned to Clark, the tone of her words showing no lies, only truths. "After all..."
"If I wanted to do this, I would have done it nine months ago."
And with that she was gone.
Tumblr media
Again, Clark didn't know what he was doing.
It had been a few days since his encounter with Spider-Woman, the revelation that she knew his identity disturbed him, but that wasn't what was going through Clark's head now.
That was who she was.
That woman (or teenager?, Clark doesn't know) had been saving New York for at least a year and absolutely no one in the league knew, she was literally under their noses the whole time and no one knew! But while they didn't know anything, but New York knew, you weren't liked by everyone but most definitely liked you, you gave those people security every day and they trusted you.
You were a real mystery.
In addition, there was the identity issue. Clark wasn't rich, so he didn't have spectacular security to hide his identity, but he always took precautions. You, however, found out so easily. Clark knew that your "it wasn't intentional" statement might be wrong, but whether it was intentional or not, you still did it.
Clark knew that you wouldn't reveal your identity to the world. Your statement made that very clear, but even so, his head itched and itched to meet you.
Maybe he was being hasty, but you were a great heroine, there was no denying that. You fought well, you were smart, and you had experience. You could be a good ally. Besides, Clark doesn't know if you're an adult, so it would be a good way to keep you under supervision.
That's why he's heading back to New York now.
The sun had already set, giving him a view of the beautiful night that had fallen while he was flying, but at that moment Clark was trying to find you.
He didn't know where you could be, in fact he didn't know what to do when he found you, he didn't even know what sparked his interest, he simply... felt. Something about how you were, the mystery surrounding you intrigued him, and Clark simply followed that instinct.
His thoughts were interrupted when his super hearing picked up a sound, of what sounded like running, it could have been anything but his instincts told him to follow the sound, to find the source.
He did.
And thank goodness he did, because he found you.
You were jumping over the buildings, like he had seen you do before, and it was only when you stopped that he could approach you. You were on the edge of the building, looking down at the floors. Clark intended to approach you, but it seemed like you had other plans.
"I thought you had already left." Your voice was neutral, showing no irritation or pleading, it was as white as a sheet, which made him stop, a little surprised that you had discovered him. "I did."
You turned to him, the eyes of the mask you were wearing showing him your confusion, looking him up and down, your reasoning led you to realize why he was here. "You- wait, are you following me?!"
"Following is a very strong word-"
"But you just admitted that you went to the metropolis and came to New York again!" Your arms gestured so quickly thanks to your nervousness that when you realized it you put one of them on your waist and the other you ran your hand over your face.
Clark couldn't help but find this cute.
"Look if this is because of the identity-"
"More or less, but that's not all." Clark's mouth turned into a gentle smile, your brain thinking about the possibilities again, all while you looked at him.
Silence reigned between the two, neither of them wanting to comment before the other, but it seems that Spider-Woman didn't have much time because a sound came from her gauntlet, she quickly accessed it and Clark saw that the "bracelet" was a type of miniature screen attached to the fabric of the suit, you looked at the messages before turning to Clark.
"I'm sorry but I have to go." You looked at the city below, looking at the lights that illuminated the place. Clark was about to speak when you cut him off before. "No offense Superman, but I think it's better if you go back to Metropolis, I don't have time to talk."
You spread your arms wide as you leaned towards the edge of the building, your eyes narrowed affectionately, which contradicted your voice full of irony. "Then this is our last meeting, thank you~"
And then you threw yourself.
Clark flew to the edge, ready to catch up with you, only to be faced with the emptiness of the city, you disappeared before their eyes, like a ghost.
"Then this is our last meeting."
No, it wouldn't be.
Tumblr media
And it wasn't.
For the past four months, Clark has been bothering you, appearing out of nowhere, scaring you, helping you, making you more irritated by his constant appearances, making you more dynamic, more ironic, but happy.
It was a confusion of emotions, to tell the truth.
You expected that after a while he would stop doing this, after all he had things to take care of, for example: a city called Metropolis.
But Clark apparently didn't agree with that, because at least once every two weeks he would go to New York just to talk. The weirdest thing is that he started talking about his life to you as if he had known you for years! He talked about how he loved Lois, his relationship with John and Conner, GOD! He even talked about the Daily Planet!
Dude, he didn't even know who you were and he was just talking about his life to you?
You, however, always listened to him, you didn't tell him anything about your life but you didn't stop listening to him either.
Honestly, if you wanted to, you could very well mess with his life.
Good thing you're the heroine here.
As you jumped between buildings, your danger sensor beeped, warning you of something approaching. Knowing who it could be, you went down to the terrace of a building. Your suspicions were confirmed when you felt a gust of air from above. Turning around, you came face to face with the hero who had been on your tail for the last few months: Superman.
Clark had a gentle smile on his face, the smile of a hero, something that conveyed confidence and comfort. And it really did.
"Hello, Mr. Super, you look as happy as ever."
"Yeah, you look as relaxed as ever." He landed in front of you as you leaned against the building's railing, your elbows keeping your body steady as you assumed a carefree posture. Clark glanced at the buildings behind you nervously, uneasy about something. "I hope you don't mind, but we have company today."
You arched an eyebrow in doubt as your danger sensor went off like crazy, you had a few seconds before you turned around and launched a web at the person. You expected to find a criminal or even a super villain, but you were faced with the sunglasses of a teenager in a costume similar to Superman. "Yeah, she's really fast like you said."
What?
Before you could react, a much smaller figure appeared in front of you, just like the teenager (the difference was that he was a child and didn't wear glasses) he also looked a lot like Clark, he floated in front of you, bright and excited eyes directed at you. "Wow! You're so much cooler in person!"
A drop appeared on your head, turning to the man of steel you muttered to him. "Who are-"
"John and Conner." He chuckled softly, seeing your eyes narrow in irritation. "John really wanted to meet you and Conner ended up joining too."
"Oh." You pulled away from John a little as sarcasm flooded your lips. "That's great!"
Conner chuckled softly as you released him from your web, he approached you as he bent down a little to speak to you, since he was taller. "I thought you'd be happy to see us, it's not every day three Kryptonians come to New York to help with crimes." His voice held an undeniable teasing, the low and deep tone of his voice having the words dragged in his speech, it seemed almost sensual.
You stopped as you watched the other two, John and Clark froze, their gazes fixed on Conner, who you had confirmed was trying to subtly court you.
But you're not the shy girl here.
You approached him, close enough to be face to face, your breath could be felt on his mask. Conner, surprised by your bold move, leaned back, his cheeks flushed with your approach. "Well, New York is already protected by its heroine every day, so I don't need help." The smile on your face grew when Conner turned redder at the sound of your voice.
You quickly moved away from him and hung on the ledge, you turned to him, your figure shining with the lights in the city. "Then watch me do my job, mini super."
You fell from the building, the wind shaking your hood as you fell. Before hitting the ground, you threw a web up and climbed up again, hanging on one at a time. As your figure moved away, Conner and John looked at you. "Damn."
"You better come, or we'll end up losing her."
The night would be very long.
Tumblr media
"OH GOSH, I'm so tired!" You yawned as you hung on the webs, it was almost four in the morning and you decided to go home. The supers had already left, you believe they were tired too (Especially Conner, where you and he played flirting all night).
You stopped on the terrace while looking around, seeing if someone or something had followed you, seeing no threat you hung on your web and slowly fell to your apartment, you opened the balcony door and as soon as you entered you were greeted by a satisfied meow.
Looking at the sofa in the living room, you saw Mooly lying on the cushion, the little black kitten moving and going to your ankle, cunning for affection. You laughed softly and picked her up gently, while placing her in your arms. "Hey, haven't you gone to sleep yet?"
As you petted the little one, footsteps were heard throughout the house, when you looked up you came across a large white vinyl robot, its form being embraced by its shadows, its round eyes shining in the dark space.
You looked at it and it did the same, the atmosphere apparently cold and tense to those looking from the outside, but completely the opposite for those who live in this house. The robot bowed respectfully, its voice, calm and tobotic, showed deep down a contained joy, reserved only for those close to it.
"It's so good to see you home." He stood up from his position, round eyes blinking slightly in the darkness of the apartment.
"Master (Name)."
You smiled as you set Mooly down on the couch again, you raised your hand to his neck and squeezed it, causing his mask to retract, revealing his identity. His face, the face of someone forgotten is a frequent presence on the walls here.
(Name) Wayne, the Spider-Woman, the missing daughter, the useless Wayne. His face was older than before, aged like red wine, clearly showing that you took after your father, since your face was just like his. Beautiful and exquisite, cold and deadly.
"It's good to be home Mark, where's Alex?" You asked as you squeezed your shoulder, which was a bit sore from today's patrol.
"Mrs. Alex is already asleep, she said she couldn't stand listening to you flirting with Superboy anymore."This made you laugh out loud, you could imagine Alex covering his ears so he wouldn't hear the two of you. You pressed the bracelet on your wrist and in a flash your suit retracted into the bracelet, showing your figure that had a loose blouse and pants. You stretched, heading towards the bathroom.
"Well, I guess I better go too, tomorrow I have a college project and Mrs. Vivian wants me early at the coffee shop" before you could get there Mark called you, his voice echoing through the house. "You got a message from Master Billy."
You stopped and looked at Mark, the notification displayed on his cute belly from an ologram. "Did he send it at this time?" The robot shook his head and handed the phone to you.
Opening your messages you went straight to Billy's contact, concern starting to creep in on you, but then again, you should know how Billy is.
Because when you saw the message you felt your stomach churn.
Billy Batson was eating the most beautiful and delicious candy you had ever seen in your entire life, and he sent it to you even though he knew about your addiction to sweets.
That little shit-
You quickly typed furiously on the cell phone keyboard, not caring that it was late, just wanting to curse Batson for making you feel hungry when you planned on not having dinner.
'Fuck, I hate you Batson ಥ_ಥ'
His answer didn't take more than a few seconds to come, his response irritating you even more.
'HEY, you finally answered me, I was already worried. Besides, I know you love me 𖹭𖹭𖹭(∪ ◡ ∪)'
'I promise I'll buy one for you, good night little spider ツ'
'...good night Billy.'
You wanted to cry, that's it.
Especially because you were hungry now.
Knowing your fate, you threw the cellphone on the couch and turned on the kitchen light, you heard Mooly and Mark's footsteps following you.
"I think there are still ingredients for a mug cake, right?" eating now wouldn't hurt.
Tumblr media
"Bruce? BRUCE!" The aforementioned looked at the entrance of the batcave where Tim and Jason had rushed in. The two looked like they had seen a ghost, sweaty and pale, still in their suits. "Tim, what is it?"
"You- You need to see this!" He sighed heavily as he threw himself into the chair at the control panel, his fingers typing faster than he had seen them on missions. Bruce looked at Jason, who was standing next to him, who had a burning look on his face, hope hidden behind his eyes.
What's going on?
Bruce didn't need to ask, because Tim began to explain to him. "Since the accident with... (Name), I've never found any clues..." Bruce shuddered at the sound of your name, they didn't talk about that subject.
Even after three years it still hurt.
"But that was because I wasn't looking in the right place!" The teenager put up the pictures of the bus that had been carrying you that day, only the wreckage that was left was in the picture. "But now-now I know where to look."
"Last year, Star City had several people kidnapped suddenly, just like (Name) no one found any clues about the case, but Jason and Roy investigated thoroughly and managed to find a kind of underground dungeon where the kidnapped people would be."
Now on the computer was the picture of the bus and of a kind of what Bruce would call a mental hospital. The place was so rotten and filthy that Bruce wondered if anyone lived there. "Apparently there's nothing, but if you look behind each of the huge graffiti on the wall..."
Tim, using the program, removed the graffiti, which gave Bruce a view of the white walls, but in the middle of them, pieces of something nonsensical resided there. "... and put them together."
The movement in Tim's hands moved the images on the wall, distorting and shaping them until one completed the other, making the nonsensical make sense.
"A symbol."
The symbol of a womb wrapped around a two-headed serpent.
"Do you know where else this symbol is?" Tim again returned to the image of the bus wreckage, he shaped the image and put together pieces of the walls that resulted in the same symbol, but with small parts missing. "So you mean-"
"That the same people who kidnapped the people in Star City were the ones who kidnapped (Name)." Jason answered for the two, his tone as dejected as Bruce's.
He can't blame him, he's in a similar state.
"The problem is that I can't find out what it means, I've tried on the Internet, in history books, even on Wikipedia! But I haven't found anything."
The crushing silence suffocated those present, leaving invisible marks on their being. "It has to have a meaning, anything- okay, what does it mean to a womb?!"
"Jason, this is stupid-"
"No, but we have to try! Shit, you only looked in science books or-or whatever, but have you tried to look for anything related to mythology?" Tim thought for a moment, but shook his head negatively.
"The womb refers to the woman, the mother. Now, what does a two-headed snake refer to?" Bruce asked no one in particular, his thoughts searching for the knowledge he had about it.
"Would it be a mother snake? That's nonsense."
Jason thought for a moment and realized something. "Technically, it's not." The red hood searched the control panel while talking to Robin and Batman.
"In Greek mythology, there was a creature that was half snake and half woman." The mythological image appeared next to the symbol. The grotesque figure of the creature somehow referred to the symbol.
"She was known as the mother of monsters."
"Echidna."
Tumblr media
HI GUYS, this chapter was a lot of work, I had a lot of blockages but I managed to do it.
Now I have a question to ask: Is Conner treated as Clark's son or brother?
You already know that I haven't read the comics, I've watched Young Justice (at least there it gave the impression that Conner would be treated as Clark's son) but on Wikipedia it says that Conner is treated as John's uncle, please answer me 😭.
I'm also doing a reader drawing (NON-CANONIC), I think I'll do headcanons too. I'll possibly leave a link below.
Ok, let's go to the Tag list \(•◡•)/:

excerpt: ““still think it’s funny to fantasize about some other guy while your boyfriend is sitting right next to you?” he raises an eyebrow, maintaining eye contact with you as he sinks to his knees.”
word count: 3.3k
genre: established relationship, fluff, smut
warnings: mentions of american horror story (s1) and its mature themes, the reader has a crush on tate langdon, tae is jealous, and the reader is a MENACE. sexual themes including: kissing and heavy petting, they shower together but don’t do any washing, teasing, dirty talk, oral, spanking, unprotected sex, they do it against the wall you guysss
a/n: i recently rewatched season 1 of american horror story and was reunited with my complicated, toxic crush on tate langdon. this was the result. enjoy!
halloween is an extreme sport in your life.
at the beginning of your relationship, taehyung almost flipped when he attempted to enter the foyer of your apartment, only to be caught in a giant cotton spider web you’d installed while he was away.
so it’s no surprise when he arrives home on the first chilly day of autumn to the smell of your favorite pumpkin candle burning and an ominous instrumental playing out from the living room.
as he sets his bag down on the ground, his lips quirk in amusement as he approaches the back of the couch. the music fades back into a pronounced silence as the american horror story title flashes across the screen.
“ah, starting early this year?”
his deep voice breaks through the momentary quiet, causing you to turn around with wild eyes, clutching at your heart. you sigh in relief as he shoots you an apologetic smile, rounding the couch with tired steps.
“starting on time,” you emphasize, grinning as you lift your arms to extend to him. he crashes next to you on the couch with a huff, sinking deeper into your side as you press your lips to his temple, soothing your fingertips into his hair.
“how was today?” you inquire, briefly breaking apart from him to reach over and press pause on the remote.
tae only grunts in response, clearly not in the mood to revisit the day’s events.
you chuckle when he practically purrs at the massage you’re giving his scalp, choosing to brush off any further inquiries until he’s ready to talk.
“that bad, baby?” you murmur, and he lets his tongue run over his bottom lip before turning to look at you.
“i guess i just had other things i wanted to do today,” he smirks, raising a knowing eyebrow at you when you gasp excitedly.
“like watch murder house with me?” you ask, folding your legs underneath you as you reach out to shake your boyfriend’s shoulders excitedly.
“of course,” he plays along, stretching an arm behind you to pull you closer to his side. he rubs at the soft cotton of your tee shirt, lifting it with a push of his fingers to soothe over your skin.
upon pressing play on the remote, he drops his head to your shoulder as an old victorian house appears on the screen.
“you know,” he starts, “i’ve never seen this,” he continues, words muffled into your neck.
“ever?” you gasp in offense, taehyung shaking his head against you with a hum.
“it’ll change your life, babe. i’m telling you,” you grin, leaning back further into the couch as the season ramps up.
and after three episodes, taehyung is leaning forward, staring at the television in alarm.
“baby, i’m-”
“scared?”
“confused,” he clarifies, “i’m so, so confused!”
you laugh and reach for the remote, pausing it as he turns toward you to debrief.
“he just killed them?” he points to the screen, at tate langdon.
“yep,” you answer.
“but she’s fine with that?” he points again, this time at violet.
“not necessarily,” you say, “but he was just protecting her. he may be a bit of a psychopath, but he loves her so much, tae.”
he’s baffled as you nonchalantly lean forward to take a sip of your drink, your words playing over and over in his head.
“that's not love,” he starts, clearly upset, “what if he does that to violet?” he waves his hands in the air.
“he won’t kill violet,” you dismiss with a wave of your own hand, “he’ll only kill for her. because he loves her,” you emphasize again.
taehyung blankly stares at you, incredulous eyes flicking between you and the screen. he watches your features soften when you cast your gaze back to the blonde man on the screen.
“i mean, c’mon! look at how he looks at her,” you sigh as you resume the episode with a tap on the remote, dreamily watching tate and violet.
taehyung’s eyes don’t leave your face, skeptically scanning the way your expression changes every time tate comes on screen. the way you shift on the sofa, your eyes glistening whenever he and violet share a scene. suddenly it clicks.
“oh my god," he groans, "you think he’s hot!”
you roll your eyes, catching his amused expression out of the corner of your eye as you clear your throat. “i don’t think, i know,” you simper, matching his expression as he raises his eyebrows at you.
“so if you knew i did all this stuff, you’d still date me?” he posed.
“i would date you even harder,” you sigh dreamily, batting your eyelashes at him as he rolls his eyes.
“you’re sick,” he shakes his head in disappointment, settling back into the couch and kicking his feet up on the coffee table in front of you.
“hey, don’t be too jealous. i still love you,” you shift your foot to tap his thigh, taehyung stubbornly crossing his arms as he avoids your eyes.
“yeah, yeah. you’re missing your boyfriend up there, you know,” he nudges his chin over to the tv, jaw locking when he sees you immediately jerk your head away from him to look at evan peters on the screen.
he grunts, fed up, as he stands from the couch. when you reach for his hand, he grumbles something about having to take a shower.
he leaves the room even as you call his name, setting off for the bathroom and shedding his clothes along the way.
a few minutes pass and he hears the door slowly creak open, not at all surprised that you had followed him after his dramatic exit.
“come in,” he says over the sound of the water, baritone voice echoing off the shower walls.
he sees the outline of your figure approaching through the glass door and slides it open halfway, enough to see you but not enough to get water all over the floor.
“are you actually upset? i was only joking,” you pout, and immediately taehyung melts.
“no, baby,” he answers, “i’m sorry.”
you remain motionless, anticipating his further explanation.
“i had a pretty bad day,” he continues, his eyes flicking over to you with a hint of sass. “and seeing you ogle some psycho played by evan peters didn’t help.”
you frown and lean against the wet wall. “i’m really sorry you had a bad day,” you say genuinely, “as for tate, i’ll keep my mouth shut about him for now,” you mimic zipping your lips shut with your hand and toss the imaginary key across the bathroom.
taehyung tries to suppress a laugh, but fails.
“don’t keep your mouth shut, please. i like hearing you talk too much, even when you piss me off a little bit,” he grins. you grin too, but it’s more like the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland and he knows he’s in for it.
“you won’t even get a little bit jealous?” you ask, blinking at him as he shakes his head, water dripping from his tendrils to onto your crossed arms. “‘cause if i’m being honest, i was maybe half-joking,” you admit, shrugging as he raises his eyebrows at you, eyes filled with mirth.
“no,” he replies. you seem doubtful, ready to start teasing him again. “seriously,” he continues, “because he can’t do this-”
you whine as he traps you in his wet arms, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. you inhale a sharp breath when his tongue unexpectedly prods into your mouth, working against yours. he pulls away all too soon, pleased at your wanting gaze following him as he retreats back into the shower.
taehyung beckons you into the shower with him, looking at you expectantly.
“come here, baby,” he gestures, pouting when you just stand there, trying to hold onto your willpower. “i’m not above begging,” he continues, raising his eyebrows in challenge.
“okay, now that would be hot-mmph.”
your response is cut off when he smashes his lips to yours again, unable to play with the tension for any longer.
a surprised sound climbs up your throat at the feeling of his wet hand finding its way up your shirt, feeling the skin at your waist and pushing the fabric upwards. you break apart for only a moment so he can pull the garment up over your head, a low grunt rumbling in his chest as he pulls you to him and feels your bare skin instead of a bra.
the kiss intensifies, electrified by the heat of his jealousy and the steam from the shower. your tongue meets his with a synchronized moan and his hands are everywhere, determined to push your bottoms down your legs.
without a word, he pulls you back into the shower with him, breaking the kiss with a wet pop. he moves his lips over your jaw and down to your neck, sucking and nipping at your skin.
“tae,” you gasp shakily, tilting your head back and running your fingers through his hair. your breath hitches when he grabs one of your breasts, tweaking your nipple between his thumbs while humming against your skin. he leans back to admire his work, a cocky smirk gracing his lips as he meets your fiery gaze.
“still think it’s funny to fantasize about some other guy while your boyfriend is sitting right next to you?” he raises an eyebrow, maintaining eye contact with you as he sinks to his knees. he waits for an answer from you as he lifts your leg and places it on his shoulder, his thumb trailing over your skin in gentle circles.
“i,” you falter in your answer as you feel his breath fan out over your throbbing clit, taehyung inching closer with a smug grin. he clearly loves the effect he has on you, which makes you want to both push him away and pull him closer to you at the same time.
“didn’t think it would,” you pause when he presses his mouth to your inner thigh, continuing breathlessly as he closes in on where you’re needing him most, “upset you, fuck,” your jaw drops as he flicks his tongue over your clit, closing his mouth around it and sucking.
you shudder a moan when he trails his tongue down to your entrance, sliding his tongue inside and curling it up to stroke your walls. your leg flexes to push him closer to you, digging your heel into his back to encourage him.
in response, taehyung slides his hands up from their place on your thighs and gathers both ass cheeks in his palms, digging his nails into the flesh as he kneads it between his fingers.
you begin to rock your hips against his face, crying out his name when the tip of his nose grinds deliciously against your clit. taehyung hums against you, briefly pulling back to look up at you. his chest is rising and falling rapidly, out of breath from being suffocated by your thighs squeezing around his head.
“i’m sorry, did you say tae or tate?” he asks with a touch of sarcasm, playfully raising his eyebrows in response to your scoff.
“he’s not even real,” you answer, incredulous, before “-oh!”
your head falls back against the wall with a dull thud when he lifts his hands from your ass to come back down on the skin hard, the sting sending a tsunami to your core. you babble his name with a whole slew of expletives as he dives back between your legs and starts eating like it’s his last meal.
he sloppily eats your pussy, humming and grunting against you. the sound of his sucking and licking almost overpowers the continual spray of water from the shower head.
you’re moaning higher and higher and the band is just about to snap when he pulls back again, smirking at you when you whine in complaint, trying to pull him back to you by his hair.
“no,” he says simply, straightening back up on his two feet. you gape at him as he reaches around you to turn the water off, whining when his erection bumps into your thigh.
he slides the glass door open to reach his arm outside, returning with a towel in hand.
he traces the fabric over your skin, collecting the drops of water with scrunched eyebrows. you watch in agony as his large hand massages your lower abdomen, dipping low enough to tease you but not enough to satisfy you.
he withdraws his touch and wraps the damp towel around his waist, extending a hand to help you out of the shower. his wet hair sticks to his forehead, and you watch his other arm flex as he reaches up to slick it back off of his face.
you stay put as you stare into his dilated eyes, observing as he casts an appreciative glance over your face before dropping his lips to yours for a split second.
teasingly, he moves away from where you thought he would land and instead presses his lips to your nose. the action is done with such a sweet tenderness that it makes your heart squeeze in adoration.
“i’ll take care of you, i promise,” he mumbles against your lips, lacing his fingers through yours and sneaking a peck before you follow him out of the bathroom.
the heartbeat between your legs still throbs as you near your bedroom, ogling taehyung from the back. water slips down his skin in trails that accentuate his muscles, and you smirk as you realize he’s flexing them on purpose. he knows you better than you know yourself.
“hey,” you call, tugging his hand for him to look back at you once you cross the threshold into your bedroom. “you’ll always be my one and only hot guy,” you press your lips together, gauging his reaction. he grins, looking down at your intertwined hands before casting his gaze back up to your face.
“yeah?” his voice lifts in question, smiling when you nod. “i don’t even have to kill for you?”
“i mean,” you trail off teasingly, giggling when he rolls his eyes, scooping you up in his arms and pressing your back against the wall.
you wrap your legs around his waist as his hand comes to cradle your jaw, meeting your lips again in a clash of tongue and teeth.
taehyung breaks apart from you with a lopsided grin when you reach down to yank the towel from where it clings to his hips, tossing it aside without care. he lets a loud moan slip as you take him between your thighs, rocking your hips to grind your wet core along his length.
“god, you just can’t help yourself, can you?” he murmurs shakily, meeting your lips again when you hum in agreement.
he slides his cock into the space between your inner thighs, moaning into your mouth when your jaw slacks at his tip making contact with your clit.
“tae,” you breathe, “fuck me, just fuck me.”
he shakily exhales, pressing a sloppy kiss your cheek, glancing down between your bodies to position himself at your entrance. humming, his eyebrows pull together as he sinks into you.
your breath hitches in your throat as he stretches you, slowly entering you inch by inch. he bottoms out with a grunt, his palm soothing over your hip as he waits for you to adjust to him.
he shifts you in his arms as his forehead lowers to your collarbone, mouthing at your nipple and groaning as you clench and unclench around him.
when you beg him to move, he doesn’t hesitate to shift his hips back and thrust into you again, the sound of skin slapping skin growing more frequent as his pace increases. the angle is perfect, hitting your most sensitive spot and sending waves of pleasure through your body.
“baby, you feel so good,” you gasp, your breath catching in your throat as he pulls almost all the way out before plunging back into your gushing entrance.
his lips search for yours as he closes his eyes, losing himself in how you feel around him. he sensually licks into your mouth as you moan on his tongue, grinding your hips forward to meet his thrusts.
as you both approach your orgasms, your body shifts up the wall with each pump of his cock. you barely take notice when taehyung’s hand comes to rest on the top of your head to prevent you from bumping it on the nearby shelf.
the picture frames hanging nearby start to rattle on the wall with the way he pounds into you, but you still whimper for him to go harder.
a sharp cry escapes your lips when he hits that deep spot within you, causing taehyung to moan in response. your nails dig into his back and drag down his skin, leaving red marks in their wake.
“baby, i’m close,” you warn, whining softly as he continues pumping his hips into yours.
“me too, baby, me too,” he replies, mouth hanging open and eyebrows furrowed in pursuit of his own pleasure.
in a panic, you tighten your grip on him when he tries to pull out, desperate to keep him inside of you. you moan in complaint until he shushes you gently.
“babe, i’m gonna…” he trails off.
“cum inside! please,” you cry, taehyung immediately freezing at the thought. he looks at you, almost pained, chest rising and falling with uneven breaths.
after taking a moment to recover, he resumes thrusting his cock into you with determination, focused on getting you to your climax once he feels the uncontrolled spasming of your walls around him.
“taking me so well, fuck,” he moans softly, casting his gaze down to where you meet over and over again. his hand gravitates to your clit, rubbing your bud with just the right pressure to get you there.
his eyes roam back over your face as you begin to lose control, inching closer and closer to your peak. the joint effort of taehyung’s dirty words and the activity between your legs sends you into a flurry of overwhelming pleasure.
“you’re so perfect for me, baby, feel so good,” he groans, throwing his head back when you clench around him one final time. his moans mix with yours as he thrusts into you, pushing you closer to the edge.
your body starts to shake as your orgasm approaches, already delayed once, and you cum around him with a silent scream. he continues to fuck you through it, and every muscle in your body goes limp as quiet moans fall from your lips.
in your post-orgasm haze, you open your eyes, observing the way taehyung is completely lost in chasing the ecstasy you feel now.
“i’m gonna cum, oh shit.”
his voice jumps an octave when you deliberately tighten around him, sending him over the edge. he thrusts in once more and bottoms out, staying there with one hand gripping onto your hip, the other supporting himself on the wall beside you.
he drops his open mouth to your cheek with a raspy moan as you gasp, feeling him release inside of you.
taehyung takes a moment to catch his breath, gently removing your numb legs from around his waist to stand. he holds you close as he leads you to the bed, both of you collapsing in exhaustion.
you lay together in comfortable silence, your cool sheets doing little to relieve you from the sweat slicking your bodies.
“that was new,” taehyung finally says, laughing when you climb on top of his torso. he lovingly rubs at your stomach as you look at him in disbelief, lowering your mouth to his once again.
your embrace is softer this time, replacing the neediness from before. the passion is still there, taehyung sucking your bottom lip into his mouth and releasing it with a quiet sound.
“if that’s the reaction i’m gonna get,” you mumble, pausing for air, “i will spend the rest of my life making you jealous.”
taehyung rolls his eyes with a smirk, letting his head rest against the mattress as he directs his eyes to the ceiling.
“can’t wait.”

DC x MCU/ Spiderman prompt
Spidey being a little too weird around the Batfamily :)
I like the Batman x Spider-man crossovers, with all the flavor that these stories have. Peter getting stuck in Gotham for one reason or another, being a sort of vigilante while dealing with the obstacles and challenges of returning home and the BATFAM investigating him and trying to coexist with him and all the interactions that occur, with Grayson and Jason being older brothers (sometimes father figures), the friendship/rivalry/partners in crime with Tim and Damian and chaos gremlins with the other bats and birds and some villains (?) and with Bruce and his opinions about metas but with the impulse to protect and maybe adopt a child in a vulnerable situation in Gotham, and Peter not wanting any of it, but eventually agreeing against his better judgment and other people's advice (said advices coming mostly from the Wayne children).
That's all great, but you know what's a scenario i really love? When all of the above happens, but the bats know little to nothing about Peter, about his power and who or waht he is, but they care about him and want to help, and Peter being aware of the mystery that he is and being a little shit, doesn't deny nor confirm any information that Gotham or the bats proclaim about him and what his powers are and how they work, having fun adding his own inaccurate facts about his own nature and his spider-side, becoming less and less like a human child in a suit and more like a spider-mutant, or an alien with a human appearance to the perception of everyone else, making comments, inventing increasingly weird and creepy facts or attributes on purpose because it's fun to mess with the sanity of Gotham's vigilantes.
This is especially funny when you imagine it with the MCU Peter, specifically Homecoming Peter, a barely teenager who proclaims to be the son of a giant mutant spider made from the dna of all the spiders in the world and human dna, which might be even more concerning to others when he's acting like his lovable, clumsy, slightly sarcastic self but has disturbing habits like growling and hissing at criminals, contouring his body in ways that wouldn't be possible without breaking his spine, wrapping his food in webbing, and sucking the food out instead of biting and starting to chew, oh and the unhinged crawling and stalking. But other than that Peter is really nice and Spider-man is too.
Bonus points if the bats have never seen his face because Peter has never met them outside of the Spider-Man suit, and the bats want to be understanding, they try not to be judgmental because they care about Peter, but damn that kid is creepy! And meanwhile Peter is having the time of his life, having fun and relaxing at being a hero while messing with other heroes while swinging in his webbing hammock he set up in the corner of the Batcave after a long night of patrolling.
No one remembers telling him where the cave was...

“Wow.” Dustin whispered as he pushed open the heavy door to the AV Room of Hawkins High. The door itself was sparsely decorated with fake spider webs and some plastic creepy crawlies that had been stuck crudely around the edging.
He hadn’t been expecting much based on the exterior appearance of the room that housed all the Drama Club’s props as well as the small table that the Hellfire Club used to play DnD.
There were two entrances to the room but the other was hidden in the back just behind the large curtain on the wall and was barely used. Dustin couldn’t help but wonder absently if Eddie had put more effort into decorating the other door since he had not prepared for the effort put into the interior based on the outside.
He supposed that was why you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover.
Inside the room was dark and lit up only by the usual candles and lamps Eddie set out for ambiance during their campaigns. But this time there was black tulle draped from the ceiling in random patterns. The fake spiderwebs weaved between them. Realistic looking bats and spiders hung throughout and there were jack-o-lanterns of alternating sizes in nearly every place that was big enough to house one.
The candles were abundant. Many more than usual and placed around on the floor as well as on shelves and in holders. Some of the Drama Club’s props that were usually hidden behind the large curtain had been repurposed to give the room a spooky edge and some had even been downright altered to fit the theme.
There was a giant cardboard windmill that some of them recognized from the 1983 School play. Eddie had pulled it out and seemed to have downright destroyed it with splatters of what appeared to be blood and other mangled remains that hung from the blades.
“Are those sausages?” Lucas whispered to the other guys, pointing towards the ‘entrails’ hanging from one of the fins.
Eddie had really gone all out for this one shot campaign they were playing on Halloween night.
His throne was adorned in warm toned fairy lights that, while not very spooky, did give it a chilling edge that they were sure would make him look even more menacing when illuminated from behind.
There was a rusted 1880s style stroller sitting behind the throne near the windmill. A headless doll hanging from the handles and another with a head- or, maybe just the head of the other.. Tucked tight into a blanket that was covered in Halloween themed items.
“When did he even have time to do all this?” Lucas asked as the Club sans Eddie followed behind Dustin into the seemingly empty room.
“When he was supposed to be graduating.” Gareth answered from the corner of his mouth, making Jeff snicker.
The clearing of someone’s throat caught their attention. Blood running cold as Eddie stepped out from behind one of the props with a tired look on his painted pale face.
“Thunny.” He said, simply. Plastic glow in the dark vampire fangs impeding his speech.
“Altho, rude.” He added, frowning at his words and taking the teeth out of his mouth. “That is not gonna’ work.” He mumbled to himself. Fishing around for the pocket in the red and black cape he was wearing and shoving them inside it.
“It looks amazing in here!” Mike enthused as Eddie held back a smile. The fake blood dripping from the corner of his mouth moving into his marionette lines as he kept his glee at bay.
Vampire Lord’s did not smile when they received a compliment.
He didn’t think.
He would need to check.
“Yeah.” Jeff agreed with a laugh. “I’ve gotta be honest I wasn’t even sure you’d show up tonight with how forgetful you’ve been.”
A murmur of agreement rolled through the boys in front of him as Eddie scoffed at the statement. He may have almost fallen asleep driving to school this morning but there was no way in hell he could forget a campaign.
“Come on in and sit down.” He said as unnervingly as he could muster after the stab at his memory.
He reminded the boys of the narrator at the beginning of a Haunted House carnival ride that dared them to try not to be scared.
The difference was that they probably actually should and would be scared of Eddie.
Sitting on the throne in front of the table often flicked a switch in his brain that turned him into an unhinged maniac.
They knew they were in for some sort of Halloween themed mischief tonight. They just hoped there were no tricks to ruin their treat.
The boys did as they were told. Taking their places around the table and setting up their belongings as Eddie sauntered towards his seat and flopped down on it. Waiting with fingers intertwined atop the table for them to be ready for him to begin.
The candles flickered in the quiet room, highlighting the dark circles under Eddie’s bleary eyes.
Anyone that didn’t know him would think he had painted them there as part of the costume and not just an everyday occurrence of late.
Once everyone was settled and the club was staring up at him with eager faces, Eddie stood. Tired body creaking as he leaned behind his chair to press play on the tape player he had hidden there. Soft, spooky music filled the room. Not very loud as Eddie still wanted them to be able to hear him talk.
“Wait…” Lucas said after a long moment of silence so they could listen to the ambient sound. “In the background… Is that… Carnival music?” He asked, looking up at Eddie with a puzzled expression.
The older man raised his brows in acknowledgement. Smiling proudly this time as he bowed to them all. Again putting on his best, most unnerving voice as he said:
“Welcome, to the Haunted House.”
~~
Eddie’s campaign was based around the guys being stuck inside the Haunted House Carnival ride. A ride that came alive with actual ghosts, ghouls and skeletons that needed to be fought off as they worked out how to escape it.
It was essentially a mini escape room without physical props to keep track of. It was unlike any campaign they had ever played before and it was clear Eddie had put a lot of thought and work into how it would turn out.
He had planned it to be short. Only spanning the one session that lasted about three hours absolute max. That was if they made a dumb move or got stuck somewhere. Otherwise they could probably be out of there in one.
He had alluded early on to the presence of someone that could help them through the puzzles. They figured they just had to say the right words or stumble into the right room to find them.
In true Hellfire Club fashion, it hadn’t taken long for things to go from zero to one hundred. Mike had made a call that nearly killed Gareth and Jeff, who was usually pretty quiet and mild mannered, had turned on him.
Eddie watched in delight as the club bickered amongst themselves about how they should have gone about the obstacle Eddie had placed in front of them.
He of course knew exactly how they should go about it but he was keeping that little tidbit of information to himself unless someone rolled a 20.
“Okay! Okay!” Dustin shouted suddenly, holding out both his hands in a ‘stop’ like motion as he tried to quell the argument between Mike, Jeff and Gareth.
Lucas sat quietly on the sidelines ignoring the chaos as he wrote something down on his character sheet.
“It doesn’t matter! Okay?” Dustin shouted when all attention was on him. “Look it’s like a foot tall, What if we just step over–”
A shrill sound rang out from somewhere behind Eddie, cutting Dustin off mid-sentence.
The sudden sharp cry startled the group. They jumped in unison. Looking between one another and then to Eddie as they waited for the reveal.
What trickery had he rigged up to breathe even more life into the campaign?
“Oh! Eddie said excitedly, leaning back to stop the tape player from making the eerie sounds.  “Looks like our guest has arrived.” He explained cryptically, pushing away from the table. The feet of his throne scraping against the floor was barely heard above the repetitive sound growing louder and more frequent.
Eddie moved around behind his chair quickly standing in front of the rusted stroller and dipping his hands inside.
The guys watched in confusion. Waiting for Eddie to pull out another tape player or a walkie talkie and turn it off to stop the shrieking sound. But instead he ducked forwards pulling the pile of fuzzy halloween themed blankets to his chest and shushing it softly.
“Were we too loud?” He murmured to the blankets. Looking down at the pile in his arms with eyes that sparkled in the candlelight.
The whining cry from the baby in the blankets was calmed by the comfort of a firm chest. She cooed quietly as Eddie swayed on the spot and tapped her back with his palm. The soft thump of the repetitive motion reassuring her that she was safe as large brown eyes that matched his own fluttered closed again in his arms.
Eddie looked up at the group in front of him. Ready to apologize for the interruption and make his announcement about the game but he was taken aback by the shock on everyone’s faces.
Furrowed brows, wide eyes and mouths hanging open around the table as they all stared at him with questions on their lips. Stunned into silence, no one moved until Jeff finally cracked.
“What…” He asked bluntly, pausing for emphasis. “Is that?”
He was pointing towards the blankets in Eddie’s arms. Being ever so gently rocked up and down by strong hands that were made for shredding on an electric guitar or rolling dice, not holding a doll.
“Who? Is that?” Dustin corrected when Eddie narrowed his eyes at the question.
“This…” Eddie said, also pausing for emphasis. “Is your way out of this ride!” He said as excitedly as he could. Somewhat affronted by the rude phrasing of the question. “It’s your lucky night. You’ve been visited by The Angel of Good Fortune.”
The silence in the room was loud as Eddie looked over them all with eagerness, waiting for someone to ask another question so he could introduce his surprise NPC in the way he had planned.
His face fell as no one made a move. The silence stretched almost to the point of being uncomfortable until Eddie spoke again.
“It’s Daisy.” He said bluntly. “She’s the angel.” He explained as if that answered anyone’s questions and didn’t raise at least six more. “Do you guys want to hear what she has to bestow on you or not?” He chuckled, shaking his head as he circled back around the throne and plonked himself down.
If it wasn’t for the humming of the stage lights above his head or the gentle crackle of the candles by his side, he swore he would be able to hear the crickets outside chirping.
“Okay…” He said simply. A sudden rush of foolishness knocking down his resolve when no one spoke. “Well I guess no one wants any fortune then.” He said bitterly.
This was not going at all how he had planned it.
He shrugged weakly as he scooted forward to the edge of the seat and looked over his notes before speaking again.
They just continued on he supposed. He had been planning to give them all special abilities that helped them throughout the rest of the house. But if they were going to be dicks about him bringing the baby then they could get by without them.
He didn’t really want to be there anymore right that second anyway…
“Right so…” He sighed. “Dustin, you were about to try and step over the obstacle. You can’t do that by the way–”
“No.” Gareth said simply, holding his hand up in front of him as Dustin had done to him earlier.  Eddie’s head snapping up at the declaration.
“No, we’re not doing this.” He laughed, pointing an accusatory finger at Eddie now. “Come on Man. Put the doll down.”
Eddie frowned at him as the rest of the group murmured in agreement. Nodding their heads and putting forth the same sentiments of Eddie’s Halloween prank being over now. He’d had them at first but going back to the game like nothing had happened with a random ‘baby’ in his arms and expecting them not to ask questions was too far.
“Not doing what?” Eddie snapped, frustrated at the insinuation that he was the problem when it was them and their weird reactions to his surprise.
The baby in his grasp stirred at the words. Loud and sharp not far from her little ears. She could feel his frustration and wanted to join in on the complaining.
Her eyes were open again now, bottom lip trembling as Eddie realized his mistake and quickly tried to shush her. But he’d already fucked up. New babies rarely went back to sleep a second time. Especially when they could feel that their parents were frazzled.
“Ah shi–” He behan. “Shoot.” He corrected,, looking down at her with a sad pout as she began to cry again. “You’re hungry aren’t you?” He asked rhetorically.
Yeah, this was not going to plan in the slightest. It would be his luck that after the failure of his reveal, he couldn’t get her to calm down for him due to her being able to sense his agitated state.
She shouldn’t be hungry again so soon. If he just took a breath, he should be able to stop her getting too worked up.
He shuffled her into the tight grip of one arm as he fished in his cape pocket with his other hand. Producing a pink pacifier and holding it up in front of her. “May I interest you in a pacifier?” He asked politely, pressing it against her wailing lips and waiting with baited breath to see if she took it.
She did, briefly. Spitting the dummy quite literally as she took it from him for a quick second before hucking it out and sending it shooting across the table. The heads of all the players following its journey as it bounced once on the game board before rolling the rest of the way to land in front of Grant who stared at it as if it was diseased.
“Nat 20.” Eddie laughed hollowly as the rest of the table slowly turned back to him at the same time and stared with matching horrified expressions.
“How did you do that?” Grant asked softly, barely heard over the baby's cries as Eddie pushed himself up again and began to pace back and forth in front of the throne in an effort to calm the little one.
“Do what?” He asked again over the cries, this time just exasperated at his lack of understanding their line of questioning.
“Throw the pacifier like that without moving your hands?” Gareth asked as if it was obvious.
Eddie balked at the statement.
“Are you daft?” He asked after a moment of stunned silence that Daisy gladly filled. “She spat it out, you saw her.”
“She’s not real!” Gareth argued, slamming his hands down on the table and pushing himself to stand, the rest of the members following suit.
“Yes she is.” Eddie defended weakly, stopping in place and rearranging the blankets in his arms so the guys could see the baby's face. “See.”
The six men in front of him took a step closer.
The baby in the blankets blinked at them all from her place in Dad’s arms. Her cries dying down as curiosity became her main focus. The growling in her little tummy became a background sensation for a long few seconds as she looked over at them all with wide eyes that matched Eddie’s.
She probably wasn’t actually looking at them. Baby’s couldn’t see very far in front of them when they were so young. But that was what made contrasting colors interesting. Eddie guessed she was gaping at the fuzzy bright orange spots she could see throughout in the darkness of the room. The candles he had lit to add to the ambiance, calming her as the lights flickered with all the movement in the room.
“What the fuck?” Mike asked candidly. Saying what they were all thinking as they watched the actual infant child Eddie was holding, look around the room and move her little arms around in a way that Eddie couldn’t fake even if he wanted to.
Eddie squinted at them all, eyes dark as the realization began to dawn on him that they all had no idea who Daisy was or what she was doing there with him.
“Do you guys like…” Eddie trailed off as he shook his head at them. Lips pressed together hard as he shrugged, baby moving up and down with the motion as he spoke again. “Listen, when I speak?” He asked slowly, tilting his head in a way that was probably meant to look condescending but really just made him look like a sad puppy.
The silence was enough of an answer for him. Not even Daisy daring to make a sound as her janky little movements had her staring back up at Eddie. The sound of Dad’s voice taking her away from her pretty lights and reminding her that she was hungry and he was not delivering.
Her little lips shook again as Eddie frowned at his friends. Her expression unknowingly mimicked his as she began to cry again and Eddie scowled at the six people in front of him.
The best friends he had in the entire world.
That apparently didn’t know his daughter’s name or that she even existed despite him rambling about nothing else for the last two weeks straight.
It made him want to join Daisy in her howling.
“What the fuck?” Eddie asked suddenly, as brazen as Mike had a few seconds earlier. Looking between them all with a mixture of hurt and disgust on his face as they all stood quietly and mentally prepared themselves for the scolding of a lifetime.
But instead Eddie’s voice was small. Barely heard over the wailing of the baby in his arms.
“I thought you were my friends.” He said simply, embarrassment welling in his chest at the way it had come out. The vulnerability he had shown with that one sentence that perfectly encapsulated how he felt about it all without having to actually say any of what he was feeling.
“Okay!” A voice rang out from somewhere in the corner of the room. Startling them all, including Daisy who went suspiciously quiet at the sound. Everyone turned at once, surprised to see…
You.
Having just jumped out of your hiding place behind the windmill.
“I can’t do it anymore!” You shouted. Holding out your arms and making grabby hands towards Eddie. “Give her to me!” You instructed as Eddie stared at you as if you’d grown two heads, trying to figure out where you’d even come from or what you were doing there.
“What…” He asked weakly as you strode towards him and wrapped deft fingers around your little one.
He let you take her. His arms falling limp by his side when they were empty.
“Where did you– He began, cutting himself off. “How did you–” He started again. “WHY did you?” He decided on, tone changing from shocked to frustrated. “Were you spying on me?” He asked incredulously. Sounding a little more wounded than he intended as you turned away from all the prying eyes in the room and pulled down the neck of your shirt.
Intending to give Daisy what she needed to restore the beginnings of peace in the room.
“No!” You clarified, flicking your head towards him as you tried to get Daisy to latch and catching the hurt as if flashed through his eyes. “Well, not intentionally.” You added softly.
“You were!” Eddie gasped. “You don’t trust me?” He asked. Ignoring the rest of the people in the room as his one track mind got stuck on your appearance and he momentarily forgot he was in the middle of an argument with some of the worst friends in the world.
“No, that’s not it.” You argued back, not looking at him as you spoke while you were trying to encourage the baby to work with you.
“You don’t think I can take care of our daughter on my own?” He asked, not waiting for your answer before he continued. “You too?” He asked, nodding at you and then his friends as he remembered they were there.
He crossed his arms over his chest. “What the hell is wrong with everyone tonight?” He shouted as your guilty eyes turned back to him.
“I just wanted to see you surprise them...” You explained softly. But… It wasn’t going to plan…” You winced, baring your teeth in a cringe as you used Daisy’s blanket to cover your modesty.
Yeah, you were right. None of this was going to plan…
All of the guys had met you before. Most of them remembered you from your senior year. Even the Freshman had met you once or twice since joining Hellfire. Had hung out with you and Eddie together over the small holiday break between the first semesters of the year.
And look, okay… Maybe you weren’t around as often as you used to be and maybe Eddie didn’t talk about you as often as he wanted to. But you both knew it wasn’t for lack of wanting to brag about the fact that he was yours.
It was his circumstances he didn’t want to think about. The fact that he had a girlfriend in College only served to remind him and everyone else of the fact that he had failed to graduate twice now and was on a fast track to his third failure.
It reminded them all that he was College age and should be running around on campus with you instead of in the schoolyard with them.
Except you weren’t at College now. You were at home or… Supposed to be. Tired, cranky and hormonal. Six weeks postpartum and ready to lose your mind when Eddie had said he was planning on going out on Halloween night.
Which meant you would spend your favorite holiday sitting at home alone with the baby.
Eddie had felt bad when you’d pointed that out and offered to take her with him. The guys hadn’t met her yet anyway and he figured the creepy old stroller in the AV Room was probably safe enough to let her sleep in until she woke up hungry and he could introduce her to everyone while he fed her dinner.
However he obviously hadn’t anticipated his friend’s not knowing what the hell he was talking about.
He had told them you were pregnant and how excited he was for Daisy’s arrival. He’d had a month off school when she was born. Only returning 2 weeks earlier and when asked about his time off he had babbled nonstop for an entire lunch break about how perfect his little one was, how happy she made him and how tired you both were.
Because damn were you both tired.
You weren’t sure where Eddie had pulled this campaign from or the energy he had used to decorate the place. You were worried most mornings that he would crash on the way to school. The way he was barely able to keep his eyes open, falling asleep at the kitchen counter and nearly drowning in his cereal.
You were pretty sure he hadn’t learnt a thing at school since he’d been back. He was so exhausted, he could barely hold a conversation.
Not that you could talk. You were just as bad and right now, you weren’t even supposed to be there. You were supposed to be home, sleeping.
As far as Eddie was aware, you were. You had left the AV room over an hour earlier. Saying goodbye to him and your Bub.
You did intend to go home and sleep through all the trick-or-treating door knockers.
But it was the first time you had been away from Daisy since she had been born and you hadn’t anticipated the overwhelming feeling of guilt that had washed over you as you’d closed the door with her on the other side of it.
You would have gone back in immediately if Eddie wasn’t so insistent that 1. He let you rest and 2. He was going to introduce Daisy to the guys.
He had a plan on how to do it dramatically. You had chuckled at that. Because of course he did.
He wasn’t just going to have them walk in and be sitting there on his throne, holding a baby.
He had written her into the campaign. When they made it to the specific spot in the story where it would be perfect to introduce her or when she woke up. Whatever happened first was fine. He was going to present her to them as a surprise NPC that afforded them all special bonuses.
It was a very cute idea but it hinged pretty heavily on the ‘spooky’ atmosphere with the doll hanging from the stroller being a red herring and the guys not noticing your actual baby sleeping in the bed of it.
If you were honest, you thought the guys would still see it coming from a mile away but you hadn’t said anything. Wanting to let the sleep deprived new Dad have his small amount of fun. Even if the guys clocked her immediately and didn’t end up being surprised. It would still be a nice little moment for him.
You’d felt yucky about leaving Daisy behind as you walked to the parking lot. You trusted Eddie with her whole-heartedly but ‘Mom guilt’ as the midwives had called it, was strong.
You had fed her to sleep just before you left and knew she would be fine for at least two hours even if she didn’t sleep the whole time. Eddie had promised that the campaign would only take around that long and if she woke up before then and desperately needed you, he would walkie and you could drive back over since you guys only lived a couple of minutes from the school.
He had a bottle of formula in the diaper bag just in case he needed it for her. But you weren’t sure if she would even take it for him. It wasn’t an issue for her to have it. You’d just never been away from her long enough before for someone else to need to feed her.
Not even Eddie.
You had made it almost all the way to the car before you’d stopped in place and stared at the cracked bitumen under your feet for a long moment. Not sure you could actually go ahead with leaving her.
You’d sighed, deciding to head back inside. Intending to sit in on Hellfire if Eddie didn’t outright postpone the start time to drive you home and put you to bed.
You were about to turn around when you heard someone call your name. The Hellfire guys had arrived sometime during your contemplation and were running towards you excitedly.
You hadn’t seen them in a really long time. Probably since you were in your first trimester of pregnancy.
You had found out you were expecting in the middle of your first year at College and you were determined to finish at least one year before the baby arrived. So trips home to see your love were rare. When you did make it back to Hawkins you were so exhausted from working overtime to get your coursework done that you just wanted to spend time at home with Eddie. Enjoying the last of your quality time together before you became a family of three.
It was nice to see the guys briefly in the parking lot of Hawkins High like old times. It cheered you up somewhat and you spent a long few minutes catching up with them.
However, it had become apparent pretty quickly into the interaction that they had no intention of congratulating you on the birth of your first child. A very strange interaction if you were honest but you kept up the friendly face as if nothing was amiss.
It wasn’t until Gareth had rolled his eyes and said:
“You know he’s telling everyone you just had a baby.”
The rest of the guys had chortled at the notion, making you frown as he continued somewhat candidly.
“So obviously that’s not true.” He said derisively, gesturing towards your body and making you bristle. You supposed the implication was that you were the same size you had been the last time they had seen you and there was no way your body could have grown and nourished a child over the last nine months and then gone back to looking the same as it did before within such a short span of time.
These assholes…
You’d thought to yourself, not replying as the men in front of you all nodded in agreement with Gareth’s statement.
Did they expect you to suddenly shape shift into a different person just because you were a Mom now?
I guess they will be surprised.
You’d concluded, smirking to yourself as you bid them a terse goodnight and watched them walk inside the building with the belief that Eddie was lying about his personal life.
Well, you certainly couldn’t go home then. It seemed like Eddie was going to be able to put on quite the show and you wanted to see how it panned out.
Afterall you figured you’d probably only just make it home before you were being called on the Walkie to come back.
You had snuck into the AV Room via the second entrance and hid behind the curtain at first. Moving closer and dipping down behind the windmill as you tried not to laugh at the sound of Eddie talking with fake fangs in his mouth.
You had slumped down on the ground and waited way longer than you had thought you would have to. Not proud of the fact that you had nodded off once or twice. Jolting awake after a particularly loud exclamation from someone at the table and hoping you hadn’t been snoring.
You guessed this was probably the typical newborn experience. Baby never sleeps more than an hour at a time except for when you, yourself could be sleeping but had chosen not to because you had been convinced she would need you again within minutes.
Just when you were starting to think you’d have to ruin Eddie’s surprise by standing up and checking that the baby was still breathing, she had begun to cry and you had done your best to shuffle out of view so Eddie didn’t see you when he moved towards the stroller to pick her up.
He was too distracted by her to notice you anyway. Thank goodness because you had not thought about the implication of hearing the baby cry and your body responding to it, ready to do its job. You had been distracted by your aching breasts and the milk leaking into your bra that Daisy could definitely smell from her place on Dad’s chest about three feet away.
There was no way he was getting her to settle now. Mistakes had been made and you knew then that it was only a matter of time until you had to reveal yourself to help Eddie out. It was just the matter of when exactly to do it so that you didn’t ruin the moment Eddie had been planning all week for.
Luckily for you, you supposed, the guys had ruined it for you. Being rude and not believing the baby was even real.
You felt bad for not correcting them in the parking lot. But you hadn’t done so on the premise that Eddie would get to have his fun reveal moment.
“Happy Halloween…”  You grimaced at the guys, turning to them and taking in the shocked expressions around the table. Each boy appeared to be in a different stage of grief as their eyes roamed from you to Eddie, to the baby in your arms, back to Eddie, back to you.
“But…” One of them began, trailing off as Eddie looked between you and the guys as well. Trying to figure out what he had missed.
“Wait…” Someone else started, also trailing off as they tried to make sense of the situation.
“What the fuck is happening?” Eddie murmured under his breath, just as confused as everyone else.
So you weren’t spying… But you didn’t go home? What did you mean Happy Halloween? Were you pranking them? Was that directed at him or the guys?
A thousand questions ran through his mind at once. He opened his mouth to ask some of them and was immediately cut off by Gareth.
“You don’t look pregnant!” He shouted, again gesturing at your body and making your eyes darken dangerously as Jeff elbowed him in the ribs.
“I’m not.” You replied curtly. “I was.” You clarified, one hand tapping against the baby’s bottom to make your point. “But I’m not anymore.”
“But you didn’t…” He gasped out, winded from being elbowed. “You didn’t say that–” He tried, voice strained.
Eddie turned to you with a questioning gaze. Brows raised as he waited for an explanation.
“Didn’t say?” He asked you, specifically. “When did you even see them?”
You sighed softly, deciding to explain to the whole room and answer Eddie’s question all at once.
“Eddie wanted to surprise you.” You huffed to the group, as if that much was obvious. “I figured if I corrected you when I ran into you earlier that you would know straight away that Eddie had the baby because she wasn’t with me and the surprise would be ruined.” You said with a shrug, finally turning to Eddie. “I ran into them in the parking lot and it was obvious they didn’t realize you were telling the truth about Daisy so I let them run with it for the sake of the dramatics.” You said apologetically. “I just wanted to see how that played out before I went home.” You added, peeking down at Daisy under the blanket covering her and making sure she was alright. “But, it didn’t go as I expected.” You admitted.
“Oh.” Eddie replied quietly, following your eyes to the blanket and frowning to himself as the room fell silent once again.
He appreciated the sentiment but it hadn’t exactly helped him. Although he supposed, you were right and it probably wouldn’t have helped him keep his surprise if you’d corrected them either.
Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.
He had been so excited about his little Halloween oneshot. But none of it had worked out anywhere near how he thought it would.
He was feeling defeated.
“I’m sure it was all a misunderstanding.” You continued loudly, interrupting his thoughts as your eyes bored into each of the men in front of you in turn. Desperately trying to get them to say something that corroborated your ‘theory’. “Because they are your friends and they do listen to you.” You added through gritted teeth when no one spoke up.
“Yeah!” Grant defended quickly, catching your drift and jumping into action.
“We are.” Gareth agreed.
“And we do!” Jeff piled on.
The freshman nodded along as well. Big smiles on their faces as Eddie scowled at them all, looking a little too sad for someone that was dressed as a vampire.
“It’s just that like…” Jeff began, looking to Gareth and Grant for back up.
“You fuck with us a lot.” Gareth finished, a murmur of agreement making its way around the table as Eddie scoffed at them derisively.
“I do not!” He argued meekly. Shrinking under the collective tired stare of the group and also your knowing gaze from by his side.
“What about when you said your Dad hatched an elaborate plan to steal drugs from his former partners and sell them to Rick for a quick buck?” Jeff asked, arms crossed over his chest.
“That happened!” Eddie justified, throwing his shoulders up as the guys all exchanged sneers.
That did happen.
You hadn’t been dating at the time but you knew about it from your place on the sidelines. You opened your mouth to defend him but didn’t get it out before another example was being thrown around.
“Well, what about when you told us that some assistant to a big music producer.” Gareth paused, waving his hands around to emphasize how silly it sounded. “Came to The Hideout and scouted Corroded Coffin before I joined and tried to take you to L.A to become a rockstar?” He laughed, turning to the guys for support and frowning at Jeff’s grimace.
“That did actually happen, I was there for that.” He interjected, one finger pointing towards the ceiling.
“See!” Eddie gestured towards him with his whole hand.
“Okay well guys come on…” Gareth continued. “He also said that Chrissy Cunningham tried to buy drugs from him the night she died.”
“She did!” Eddie exclaimed, voice higher than usual.
“And don’t forget that he’s apparently friends with Steve Harrington now.” Grant laughed heartily, the older guys erupting into laughter as the Freshman exchanged anxious looks with one another.
“That’s also true!” Eddie argued incredulously before Dustin piped up:
“Yeah, that one is actually true too.” He said, hissing through his teeth.
“It’s all true!” Eddie shouted, desperation in his tone.
“Look, the point is Eddie you lie like, all the time.” Gareth justified weakly, gesturing around the room as if any of them had actually managed to come up with a solid lie Eddie had told that hadn’t been corroborated by other person in the room. “So…” He said, dragging out the word.
“But I’m not lying!” Eddie argued, bordering on whiny. “All of those things happened to me! Including this!” He added, thrusting his hand towards you and the baby.
Silence fell on the room once more. The slap of Eddie’s hand falling back against his thigh seemed to echo in the small space as he shook his head at them all. Turning to you with pleading eyes as if to ask you to convince them he was telling the truth.
You felt bad for him, smiling apologetically as you slowly slipped down to sit in his throne. Your tired legs giving out as you waited for someone else to say something. You weren’t sure why they still seemed to look unconvinced or what you could even say to persuade them.
You were literally holding the baby in front of them. All the evidence they should need to understand.
A sniff caught your attention and you looked back up to Eddie quickly, horrified at the thought that he had potentially begun to cry. But to your surprise he was now looking back at the guys, a puzzled expression on his face as the sound happened again.
Your own head turned to look them over, watching in confusion as everyone stayed so defiantly staunch that the quiver of Dustin’s lips and the small change in his breathing was as obvious as if he had just burst out into laughter immediately.
Mike’s elbow connected with his side gently. A motion that was meant to be discreet but again in the stillness of the room seemed as blatant as if he had just tackled the other boy to the ground.
“I can’t keep it in…” Dustin ground out, his eyes wide as the other guys all began to huff and sigh. The barely contained laughter of the kid that was decidedly, Eddie’s best friend, was infectious. Lucas sniffed as well and snowballed Grant into a snort that triggered Jeff.
Slowly one by one the group began to laugh. Soft murmurs of mirth at first that quickly turned into the hearty sound of chortling as they all nodded at one another knowingly, as if making a silent decision before Dustin turned to the head of the table.
“Trick or treat!” He shouted, throwing his hands up and leading the rest of the club into doing the same.
“Trick or Treat!” They mimicked. Shouting in synchrony and throwing their hands up in unison as if welcoming the guest of honor into a surprise party.
Eddie balked at the exclamation, not expecting it and certainly not understanding it at all.
Was he the guest of honor?
“What?” He asked tiredly, shaking his head and slumping his shoulders. He had no idea what was going on. Exhausted with the shifting emotions in the room as the guys all seemed to delight in the notion that he still didn’t understand.
“The ultimate trick!” Gareth clarified, pointing at the DM with a brave finger as Jeff and Gareth clapped each other on the back.
“You fell for it.” Mike laughed, seeming genuinely surprised.
“Damn, I guess having a baby really does mess with your brain.” Dustin theorized as you and Eddie shared a look of bewilderment.
“Wait…” It was Eddie’s turn to trail off. “What?” He asked again, mirroring the way the guys had asked it earlier. “What’s going on? I’m so confused.” He complained, rubbing at his forehead with one hand as he tried to make sense of the situation.
“Oh damn.” Jeff laughed, wincing. “I feel kind of bad.” He mumbled as Eddie scowled at him.
“Dude…” Grant said loudly, commanding Eddie’s attention. “We were pranking you Man.” He laughed, gesturing towards you and the baby. “For Halloween?” He said slowly, dragging out the words as if Eddie was too simple to understand them.
“Of course we know who Daisy is.” Jeff laughed awkwardly. “How could we not?”
“Yeah you haven’t exactly shut up about her since you’ve been back.” Mike added, groaning as Dustin got him back for the elbow earlier.
“Yeah I didn’t think you’d fall for it.” Jeff admitted uneasily. “Honestly I thought Mama Bear over there was gonna’ murder Gareth for the comment he made outside.” He said scandalously as Gareth had the decorum to shoot you an apologetic look.
“You look amazing by the way.” He said quickly as both sets of eyes turned on him and Eddie had to stop himself from asking what the comment was unless he wanted this to become an actual haunted room.
Although he wasn’t too worried about Gareth’s ghost disrupting his sessions anymore than alive Gareth already did.
“Wait so…” Eddie said again, closing his eyes and making the group groan collectively as he desperately tried to make sense of the situation.
“Okay, this has kind of spiraled from fun into mean.” Mike interjected, looking around at the other guys and all of them nodding in agreement. “We knew you guys were tired but we didn’t realize you were that tired.” He said with a grimace.
“Yeah…” Dustin agreed as both you and Eddie stared at them all blankly, trying to wrap sleep deprived brains around the situation. “It was meant to be a really simple prank. Like opposite day or some shit.” He laughed uncomfortably. “We didn’t think you’d take us seriously, I mean we’ve seen a picture of her for Christ’s sake.”
Eddie had momentarily forgotten about the polaroid he’d taken of Daisy not long after she was born. Currently residing in his wallet after having been passed around the lunch table six times over until he finally decided she’d been given enough compliments and took it back.
“Oh.” Eddie hummed, ruminating on his first week at school and remembering, vaguely, the interaction.
He didn’t remember too much of the last six weeks in general if he was honest.
“That was mean guys.” You murmured with a frown. Trying not to be too hard on them since you were honestly just glad that they hadn’t truly believed Eddie was lying about his personal life.
You looked to Eddie. Waiting for him to say something but instead you were faced with the blank stare of a man that you were pretty sure still didn’t truly understand what was going on.
Dustin took it upon himself to take a step forward.
“We knew you were going to do something insane tonight. It wouldn’t be Halloween without you trying to pull the wool over our eyes somehow and we kind of thought you had been setting us up for a big prank for the last month so... We all agreed to just roll with whatever it was, no matter how insane we looked and prank you back.” He explained, waving open palms over his face in big exaggerated movements to show the scale of their operation.. “But now it’s sad.” He said with a nod, lips pressed together and brows raised in concern as Eddie narrowed his eyes at the other man.
The kid ignored it, placing a grounding hand on Eddie’s bicep.
“Congratulations man.” He said definitively, watching as Eddie’s brows shot up in surprise. “You’re a lucky man.” He said, nodding at you and the baby.
Eddie took in a sharp breath, turning himself away, unexpectedly overcome with emotion at the statement.
It was really all he wanted from them in the first place.
An acknowledgment of his new life and how lucky he was to be living it.
“Yep. Thanks.” He said quickly, refusing to look at them. “You know you’re supposed to let me choose if I want a trick or a treat right?” He asked, his sentence clipped with the terse edge of someone that was trying not to cry. “You can’t just yell trick or treat after tricking someone.”
“You tricked us first!” Gareth argued at the statement. Jeff’s hand landed heavy on his shoulder as Eddie whirled back around to face them suddenly. Emotions forgotten or maybe just consolidated into anger as he took offence at the blatant lie.
“It wasn’t a trick!” He gasped, scandalized. “It was a surprise!” He panted. “With treats!” He added, throwing his arm out towards the unfinished game in front of them. “The Angel of Good Fortune had gifts for you all!” He exclaimed, gesturing wildly at all of them at once as he stared incredulously at the ungrateful group before him. “No wonder the poor thing was inconsolable, you ingrates wouldn’t accept her presents.” He said pointedly, crossing his arms over his chest as you stifled a laugh at the statement.
Yes, that was why. It had nothing to do with Mommy hiding a few feet away and leaking dinner into her bra.
You didn’t say anything, letting Eddie have the win as you looked down at your little angel and realized she was finished eating already.
You shook your head at her.
The audacity to make all that fuss and only feed for a few minutes.
She obviously wasn’t hungry and should have taken the pacifier but all the yelling from the club had startled her into wanting Mom when she knew she was nearby.
Or maybe Eddie was right. You conceded privately. She was just upset that the guys didn’t accept her gifts.
You smiled at the thought of Daisy growing up to DM just like her Daddy.
No doubt she would be just as dramatic.
You shifted her in your arms as the boys argued. Covering yourself up again and removing the blanket so she could breathe easy now that she was content to lay still in your arms.
She blinked up at you with milk-drunk eyes, lids falling closed slowly as she began to drift off again. Her little lips sucked at the air and made you smile.
“And another fucking thing!” Eddie began, startled by you tugging on his cloak and jerking your head towards the baby in your arms.
“Language!” You chastised gently. As if the poor thing hadn’t been listening in on some of the most intense arguing you’d ever witnessed for the first hour of the session.
“Oh, sorry.” Eddie said quickly, turning back to the guys. “And another… Thing!” He repeated, omitting the swear, this time stage whispering as he pointed at them. “Your ass- Uh, butts, are still stuck behind that obstacle!” He whisper-shouted. “Good luck getting through them without the Good Fortune she would have afforded you.” He snipped, waving his hand towards the baby.
Silence descended on them all once again as all eyes in the room turned to look at Daisy.
“Why can’t we just step over—“ Dustin began to ask, being cut off by Gareth.
“Can’t she just give us our fortune now?” He asked with a shrug, looking between the baby in your arms and your boyfriend who looked as though he was ten seconds away from a conniption.
“No!” He snapped, exasperated. “You lost that privilege when you decided to pretend she wasn’t real.”
“Oh come on Eddie, please!” Mike pleaded, turning to you instead when his pleas fell on deaf ears. “You were as much at fault as we were!” He defended weakly. “Can’t you convince him?”
Eddie’s attention snapped to you quickly, a warning in his dark eyes as he wordlessly told you that no, you could not.
“Well…” You began, Eddie’s eye twitching at the word. “I think maybe you should let Daisy decide if she wants to give you her good fortune.” You said casually, making the teen scoff.
“But she’s a baby?” He said in a weird way that was halfway between a question and a definitive statement.
Eddie gasped suddenly, turning back to the guys with glee in his eyes as he smiled at them with the unhinged grin they had come to both love and fear.
“Yes.” He said breathlessly. “Yes, let Daisy decide!” He said a little too excitedly. “You’ll probably have to beg.” He added, unable to keep the mirth from his tone as he leaned down to you and gestured for you to move closer to the edge of the chair.
You did so, scooching forward and holding the baby a little further from your body as you angled her towards the guys,
“She won’t stay settled like this.” You warned Eddie. “Better make it fast.”
“That’s the plan.” He murmured so only you could hear.
You sniffed out a laugh.
Of course it was.
Anything to make the club suffer a little harder after they’d pulled one over on the DM.
You figured you’d probably be taking Daisy home now anyway. May as well let Eddie have his fun watching the guys beg as penance for their sins and then deny them their fortune that would help them get out of the haunted house ride before midnight.
They were going to have a hell of a time with all the disadvantages Eddie gave them after Daisy cracked it from her uncomfortable position and he could claim that not only did she refuse to give them her fortune but that she had handed them some misfortune as recompense.
“Alright, who’s begging?” Dustin asked jovially. Hands on his hips as he turned to the group, ready for a manly discussion only to find that all eyes were on him. “Oh come on!” He shouted, throwing up his arms in exasperation. “Fine!” He sighed, a little too quickly, taking a breath and turning to you with conviction.
He knew he wasn’t winning that argument and he wanted to get this over with as fast as possible.
“Please!” He exclaimed suddenly, dropping to his knees in front of the throne and pressing his hands together in prayer. He bowed towards Daisy. Trying his best to ignore the unhinged smile forming on her Father’s face and the disappointed look on yours. “Please oh Goddess of Good Fortune–”
“Angel.” Eddie interrupted, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers.
“Oh Angel of Good Fortune.” Dustin corrected, “Please choose to still mpart us with your wisdom–”
“Gifts!” Eddie said sharply.
“Gifts!” The kid corrected again, looking up at Eddie with narrowed eyes before turning back to the baby. “Please impart us with your generous gifts and help us through this obstacle we are stuck behind and are not allowed to just step over.” He said derisively, making the group behind him chuckle.
“What do you think Baby?” Eddie asked Daisy directly, bending down and resting his hands on his knees as he stared at his newest love with doe eyes. “Should we still give them your gifts?” He asked, voice gentle and softer than they’d ever heard before as he cooed at her.
Daisy blinked up at him. Paying no mind to you or any of the other people in the room, least of all Dustin as she shifted uncomfortably. Little lip beginning to tremble.
“Well.” Eddie laughed, pushing his palms off his thighs and standing straight again. “I think that-” Eddie began, looking at Dustin smugly.
“Oh my God!” You gasped suddenly, cutting Eddie off and making his head snap back down towards his daughter. He watched, mouth agape as she moved her little head up and down. Seemingly nodding in response to his question.
“What the fuck…” He whispered hastily, recoiling.
“Language!” You chastised again, tone wavering as you also stared in shock at your newborn that had apparently understood her Dad’s complex question.
Now that was spooky.
“How did you do that?” Eddie asked Dustin quickly, reminiscent of the way they had asked him when Daisy had spat the pacifier across the table.
Dustin shrugged, looking just as bewildered from his place on the floor. His hands that had previously been outstretched as if in prayer were now withdrawn to his chest as he leaned away from the baby.
Wary of her.
He turned back to the group slowly. All of them standing there in shock as they watched the interaction between their teammate and what appeared to be a completely conscious baby.
“Well, it’s settled then.” Gareth said quickly, everyone turning to him slowly as he shrugged and gestured towards the table with one hand. “The Godd- Uh, Angel, has spoken.” He smiled, looking around at the other guys and jerking his head towards the game. “Shall we?” He asked, pulling out his chair and sitting down in front of his character sheet.
No one else moved for a long moment. Not even you as you stared down at your little one and tried to figure out if she could understand you or not.
“Uh… Sure.” Eddie replied when no one else made a move. He turned to you with worried eyes. “Did you want to…” He trailed off as you snapped back to yourself, realizing Daisy was probably still uncomfortable as she wriggled around in your arms. You repositioned her, nodded at Eddie’s question with an equally concerned expression.
Yes, you definitely wanted to go home and yes you would take the baby so the guys could finally finish their ill fated journey through the haunted mansion.
Even though you were honestly a little scared of her right now and wished Eddie would come with you.
Maybe you’d go and visit Wayne instead…
“I’m sure Eddie can speak for The Angel.” You chuckled awkwardly. “She needs to go home and get some proper rest in a quiet room.” You explained, leaning towards the diaper bag Eddie had stashed under the table and stopping half way as he dove for it instead to save your back.
“I will speak for The Angel…” Eddie began, frowning as he helped you get up from his throne. “Even though I am starting to wonder if she can speak for herself…” He added quietly, sounding skeptical. “But first I’m gonna walk these guys to the car.” Eddie said apologetically, placing a hand on your back and turning towards the main entry of the room as you bid goodnight to the club.
“Oh!” You said, stopping by the door. “The pacifier?” You asked Eddie. Watching as he pointed a finger in the air and turned back towards the guys.
“It’s right he-” He paused, sidling up between Dustin and Mike and staring at the blank spot on the game mat where it had landed earlier.
“Here!” Gareth interjected, finishing Eddie’s sentence as he held up the pink paci and made a motion like he was going to throw it.
Eddie held out his hands in response.
“Thanks man.” He said, as he caught it between his palms. Returning to you and leaving the club in stunned silence as you both left the room and headed towards the parking lot.
“Really?” Dustin asked, sounding exhausted but impressed none-the-less. “Using the pacifier to make the baby nod?” He asked as Gareth grinned from ear to ear and each of the other members of the club began to catch on to what transpired earlier. “You realize they’re scared of their baby now?” He asked. “That’s diabolical.”
“Not as diabolical as you pretending we all planned a prank and totally knew what the fuck was going on earlier.” The other teen shot back immediately, looking around after he spoke in fear that Eddie had somehow returned without them noticing.
“I’m just surprised you all caught on to be honest.” Dustin said earnestly as they all argued back about the statement.
“Seriously though…” Grant began when the shouting died down. “Did any of you think that baby was real for a second?” He asked quietly, eyes flicking towards the door as an affirmative murmur moved around the table.
“God no.”
“Not a chance.”
“Nope.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Good.” Grant nodded. “I stared to think I was the only one that thought Eddie was full of shit.” He admitted, falling silent as the sound of Eddie’s footsteps coming back up the hallway forced them into a huddle to discuss how they were going to move through the obstacle they were stuck behind if Eddie decided they really didn’t deserve Daisy’s gifts.
“Sorry about that guys.” Eddie sighed as he slumped down in his throne once more. He leaned back in his chair, ready to press play on the tape player and resume the ambient sounds. His fingers sliding over the buttons and furrowing his brows as he picked it up instead so he could look at it. “Ah shit.” He laughed, holding it in his lap.
“What?” Dustin asked, looking between the DM and the device.
“I thought I stopped it, but I guess I hit record instead.” He sighed. “Oh well, I guess it’s a good thing.” He shrugged. “Daisy will get a kick out of your prank one day.”
~
A/N: I hope you guys like this little Halloween Treat. Please let me know if you did. I don't really write x reader fics anymore so would appreciate the encouragement. xx

Scarlet Delivery
a Scarlet Webs story
Wanda Maximoff x Spider-Man!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wanda was hyperventilating. Her cell phone was buzzing just waiting for you to pick it up.
“Hello?” You manage to answer.
“Detka, where are you?!” She managed to say in between her hyperventilating breaths.
“Currently…rush hour” you said sticking to the front of a police car. The perp was Mac Gargan. “You shouldn’t worry, baby. I’ll be there.”
“Promise?” Wanda said, tears streaming down her cheek.
“I promise.” A gunshot went off. You narrowly dodged a bullet, “gotta go. Hey! Can’t you see I was taking a phone call!?”
And with that you had to hang up and jump back into the fray. You hated having to do patrol without Wanda. But circumstances had changed the flow and now you were solo again. Nothing changes when you’re the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Wanda’s tears were still flowing as a portal opened behind her. And out of the portal comes this universe’s Doctor Stephen Strange.
“It’s time,” he says gesturing for your lovey witch to follow. She does so, all the while hoping that you’d keep your promise.
You land on the hood of Mac Gargan’s stolen vehicle. “License and registration, sir?”
Blam! Another shot goes off, you jump onto the roof of the car. A couple more shots ring out. You dodge each bullet flawlessly.
“Can we wrap this up?” You mockingly whine, “I have prior engagements!”
You web up Mac and yank him out the car, webbing him to a nearby streetlight. The car barrels towards a nearby crosswalk where a little old lady with a Walker is currently trying to cross.
“Of all the times!” You jump onto the hood and spray it with various webs before jumping onto the back and yanking the car back with all your might, bringing the car to a dead halt mere inches from the elderly lady.
You give a quick salute and swing off. You knew the location. You knew where Wanda was gonna be. It was all a piece of cake right?
Well then came the Vulture. He tries to slice at you once, twice. “Not now Toomes! I have some place to be.”
“Yes. The morgue!” He tries slicing at you again. You swing thru Times Square and web the winged foe in a giant spider web.
“Yo! Spidey!” A citizen calls out to you.
“Yeah?”
“Where’s your lady? The Witch?”
“I’m trying to get to her now!” You call out before swinging off again into the city. Why did it have to be on the other end of New York?
You land on a rooftop. You quickly web a couple silk lines to your suit, forming a makeshift pair of wings.
“I’m coming Wanda,” you shoot out two web lines and slingshot yourself across the city. Catching a wind current, you sail thru the open air of the city.
You see your destination: the Sanctum Sanctorum. You dive bomb and land right in front of the building. Wong quickly answers the door.
“How far?” You ask.
“You made it just in time.” He smiles and leads the way. You nearly run the way to the little room.
You run in to find Wanda in a relaxed position, still hyperventilating. Nine months pregnant and she still looked beautiful as ever. Dr Strange was readying his medical scrubs.
“Detka!” Wanda exclaims, tears of joy streaming down her face. You run up to her, kissing her gently.
“I promised I’d be here, right?” You ask with a little smirk. Wanda giggles and kisses you again.
“Okay Wanda,” Strange intones, “it’s time. Now push.”
“Sure you got this, Doc?” You ask.
“It’s not surgery. I’m just catching the babies. I won’t drop them.”
“Drop them and I will kill you” Wanda say through gritted teeth.
“I believe you” Strange answers back. “Now focus and push.”
It ended up taking the rest of the day and into the night but Wanda delivered two healthy baby boys. You and her were so excited.
“My boys,” Wanda said with fresh tears streaming down her cheeks. “Billy. Tommy.”
“They’re amazing,” you kiss the top of Wanda’s head, “thank you baby.”
“Thank you. I love them so much already,” Wanda let out a little tired laugh. She actually had her boys in her arms. This wasn’t some conjured up version of them. This wasn’t some other universe’s version of them. This was them, flesh and blood. She had a loving spouse, two handsome little babies, a nice little home in Queens.
Wanda finally had the life she always wanted. And best yet, she got to have it with you, her Spider Monkey.

Just out of Reach, but Never out of Sight
HELLO! I RETURN WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER! At least it's not been a year this time only 11 months. Been writing this and chapter 6 on and off for a while and writers block is a pain when life is also kicking my ass so glad to get this out here. Enjoy!
Chapter 5: Trails
ch 1, ch 2, ch 3, ch 4 cw: minor panic and anxiety. Kind of a fluffy chapter and just a lot of sus times lol.
wc: 3149
Disclaimer! This story is based on the characters of the Dream SMP and not the real life content creators. Anything that occurs in this story is purely fiction and should be treated as such. Thank you.
Tommy trailed his way down the long concrete path making sure to stick to the edge furthest from the road. The two beans walked just a step ahead of him, but the borrower was overly conscious of that.
The last thing he wanted was for them to notice him dropping their little blue pebbles for a trail.
Wilbur was leading them down the path while Phil was walking with Tommy on his left and neither of them seemed to notice the boy shoving his hand in his pocket every few minutes before pulling out a few more pebbles to drop. If they had, they certainly hadn’t mentioned it.
It was a blessing how Beans could be so unobservant sometimes, and the boy hoped it would stay that way a little longer.
They’d been walking roughly ten minutes or so and so far they had only made two turns when they got to an intersection and side street, so the Borrower was confident in his abilities to get back with little to no trouble even without the pebbles, but the further they walked, the heavier the weight in his pocket became.
At this point, it was probably luck they hadn’t seen the pebbles or at least heard the tink of one dropping every now and then. Tommy had to suppress a flinch every time a stone clinked a little louder than others, but Phil and Wilbur continued walking none the wiser to the Borrower’s inner turmoil.
Technoblade had said a brief goodbye from down the corridor before they'd left this morning since he still had his head buried in school work which was a slight relief for the boy, but still; two Beans walking him into unknown territory was nerve wracking enough, and there was no guarantee they’d be happy with just leaving him at the park to get home alone like they had arranged.
Here’s hoping they did when they arrived.
“Not much further now Toms,” Wilbur said as he stretched his arms out in front of him before flopping them down to his sides as they walked. “Just around the next corner is the park and the playground.”
“It’s the only playground where the slide is red, since there’s a few playgrounds in this park if you’re still a bit lost.” Phil added as they turned the corner and sure enough, there was the park.
In front of them stood an arrangement of large plastic and metal structures, all in different bright colours of reds, yellows, blues and greens. There were platforms mounted above the ground, and what looked like giant spider webs made from thick ropes suspended by metal beams. Some platforms had ladders to get up and down them and others ramps. There were even poles mounted away from the platforms to get down quickly from. It was nothing like Tommy had ever seen and none of the structures made any sense. This certainly wasn’t a normal thing he’d seen humans in before. If anything it was more like the inside of the walls once Borrowers got established; using anything and everything to just get around by any means necessary.
What on earth did Beans need to do with this?
“Well here we are.” Phil announced as he made his way over to a bench before taking a seat. “We’re at the West end of the park but you should be able to work out which direction to go from here, right Tommy?”
“Oh- yeah, um.” Tommy jerked his head away from the playground to Phil as he came back to reality. “Yeah I know exactly where I am.” he laughed nervously hoping they wouldn’t notice his slight blunder.
He quickly glanced around taking in the rest of his surroundings, noticing a path that headed off further into the park rounding a big thicket of bushes.
“Yep just gotta head down that path over there and I’ll be on my way home big man.”
“You sure you don’t want us to walk you there?” Wilbur asked, concern written all over his face as Tommy stepped back waving him off.
“Thanks, but no thanks. You’ve both already done so much for me and I’ll be fine to get there on my own.” the boy affirms with a smirk. “I’m tougher than I look.”
The Beans share a look, but concede, knowing they couldn’t just force themselves into Tommy’s life. They couldn’t just follow the kid home if he was against it. Definitely got laws about that.
“Alright if you’re sure. Just get home safe then mate.” Phil smiled warmly as he came over to Wilbur placing a hand on his son's shoulder noticing how he was starting to get fidgety. He knew Wilbur didn’t want to let the kid go as much as he did, but he needed to settle.
“And Tommy just so you know, you’re welcome at our house any time.”
“Yeah we’d love to get to know you better if you want to hang out sometime too.” Wilbur perked up at the notion looking to his Dad who nodded in agreement. “Would be so down for pizza and chill.”
Tommy didn’t quite understand how freezing pizza would be fun since it tasted amazingly better when warm but he shrugged it off. “Um, thanks. I’ll keep that in mind.”
Facing them one last time and taking the moment in, Tommy thanked the Beans for their help and hospitality (and silently for not immediately hating him) before turning and walking off down the path.
Phil and Wilbur smiled sadly as they watched him go until the blonde was out of view past the thick foliage. Part of Phil really wished they had insisted on getting him to his front door and Wilbur wished he hadn’t gone at all. The boy that had barreled into their lives had seemed to leave a piece missing already despite knowing him for such a short period of time.
After a few minutes of lingering about (just in case he returned), the pair of Beans eventually began to make their way back to the house solemnly, their thoughts with the bright haired blonde.
“We should have insisted on getting him back to the front door.” Wilbur grumbled as he kicked a pebble hard off the path and onto the road. Phil sighed as he patted his son on the back, ushering him to keep moving.
“Come on mate. We’ll talk about this at home.”
He just had to hope if the kid needed help again, they knew to reach out.
Back through the thickage, Tommy patiently stood and watched through the branches till the two Beans disappeared around the road corner and then some in case they came back. He couldn’t risk them seeing him follow them back and be caught a second time.
When he was sure they were gone, he emerged from his hiding spot and trudged his way over to the playground scowling at the hunk of junk.
Honestly, what were the Beans thinking making this thing? What kind of purpose did this waste of plastic serve doing in the middle of a park?
Being called a ‘playground’ he guessed meant that humans played on it, but the things he’d seen Beans play with or on usually involved screens or Board games. I mean there was that one time he watched a human family play football, but that was literally a ball being kicked around.
Although that one did remind him a bit of Bug ball from before he got kicked out of the colony. He’d never been allowed to play of course. The other kids were all wrongins that wouldn’t let him play. Like most of their games…
Tommy shook his head.
Dwelling on the past wasn’t going to help him much right now. He had a trail to follow.
Checking to make sure the coast was clear, Tommy set off back the way he had come retracing his steps. It didn’t take him long to find some of the pebbles he dropped earlier and as he heaved a heavy sigh of relief. Home wasn’t lost and he’d be back before he knew it.
He’d be lying if he said he didn’t start sprinting down the path.
He’d been lucky up to this point with getting out of the Crafts house without revealing his secret and even luckier they had let him go at all. The last thing he wanted to happen was for his trail to magically disappear and get lost again.
It was better to get back home as quickly as possible. Phil and Wilbur surely would have made it back to the house by now and even if he did plan to visit them again, he’d need to figure out a better plan first so step one: get home.
As he approached the first T junction, he glanced down looking for his trail and instantly locked onto his pebbles. He slowed down, checking around the fence on the corner both ways to make sure there were no Beans up ahead, his senses heightened and on full alert for potential dangers.
The streets themselves appeared barren of any Beans walking up and down them for the time being, but Tommy could hear the honking of horns somewhere off in the distance meaning there were definitely Beans around, just not where he could see them for now.
Good.
He didn’t need to meet any more Beans today.
Grinning, Tommy stepped out and continued following his trail home, continuing to check for threats every so often but mostly keeping his eyes trained on the pebble trail as he went.
He’d be back in the walls before Lunch.

Techno sighed as he closed his text book.
Finally finished his assignment.
And even a few hours left to submit it before the deadline. Honestly he thought he’d be here for at least another two hours. He’d been stuck on this one section on Ancient Egypt for a while and wasn’t sure if he’d break his writer's block as quickly as he had, but let’s go for textbook answers he guessed.
He stretched his back as it popped from the unhealthy way he’d been hunched over his work, but finally he could relax for a bit before starting the next essay. Sure it wasn’t due for another two days, but Techno liked to be punctual and get stuff done well within time. He could have had this done a week earlier had he not had to work in a group, but group work wasn’t optional as his teachers had explained and he’d be damned if he got marked down for forceful collaboration.
It’s their fault for not doing their portion of the research fast enough that he got delayed. In fact he’d probably done 75% of the research himself instead of the 25% like he was supposed to when he was made to work with two of the class clowns who basically did nothing. He’s lucky Niki had at least done her part that he wasn’t left to do the entire thing himself. He’d made a note at the end of his report in the bibliography to reference who had gotten what information so that it didn’t affect his part of the grade if something was left out and emailed the teacher to let them know of the circumstances.
He would not be letting those slackers mooch off his hard work for an easy grade.
Of course this did mean he missed out on properly getting to greet their families brief house guest. Unfortunately, the assignment had to take priority over meeting the kid since it was worth 60% of his overall grade for the semester, but he knew his Dad understood that. It just made him look like a bad host. Although, if he gandered a guess, Tommy (like so many other newcomers he’d met) didn’t exactly seem thrilled in his presence.
He looked worse for wear from their first introduction and perhaps him being out of the picture wasn’t a terrible thing if the kid had been abused like his family assumed. He’d seemed utterly terrified when they passed each other in the hallway this morning and the teen did feel bad for adding unnecessary stress if he was. But something also felt off about Tommy.
He couldn’t exactly place it, but something about the kids' presence didn’t sit right with him. Call it a sixth sense, but it felt like Tommy wasn’t everything he appeared to be. There was just something that told him that he wasn’t all he appeared, but for the life of him he couldn’t pinpoint what. Of course he’d only had a very short interaction with the blonde, so maybe there was more to his story than what he let on, but only time would reveal what that could possibly be.
He may not even have the chance to discover what that may be now that he is gone. Phil and Wilbur were bound to be back any time now. Wil had texted him when they had gotten to the park and texted again when they were on their way back so they’d probably be back in through the front door any minute now.
He just had to hope that this matter was resolved and they could get back to normal with Tommy out of the picture. No offence to the kid, but he didn’t need to worry about making someone new feel comfortable in his presence right now.
Yes he knows he’s socially awkward. Sue him if he’d rather be in his room studying than having to worry about not giving another person a heart attack for being 6’2 and dressing like an absolute King they all cower like peasants.
Okay maybe that’s a bit harsh but eh. Can’t win 'em all.
A shuffling of keys slipping out of a pocket and into a lock was the cue Techno heard to know his family had returned. In walked Wilbur somberly, as the brunette trudged past the dining room and into the living room, before flopping face first down into the couch cushions.
“Hey we’re back.” Phil called as he closed the door as Technoblade emerged from his room and met his youngest by the dining room entryway and cast a tired look to his other son moping on the couch.
“Wilbur, look I know you like Tommy but you can’t come back and act like the world is ending.”
“Don’t. Care.” Came back a muffled reply through the cushion, as Techno rolled his eyes at his younger brother.
And Wilbur says he’s dramatic.
“He spends a day with some lonely teenager and is already attached.” Techno scoffs as he waltzes over to take a seat in the old recliner as his brother abruptly pushes up from the couch to retort.
“I’m not attached, I’m just concerned for his well being which if someone had actually been polite and been there when we were talking to him would know.”
“Wilbur.” Phil warned as the brunette glared daggers at his nonchalant brother as he picked up the day's newspaper from the coffee table. “You know Techno has had a lot on his plate with his assignments. Besides, you saw how Tommy reacted when they met. Kid was already under enough stress as it was. No offence Tech.”
“None taken.” He replied as he flicked the paper out to better read the news.
“Well still, he should have at least tried to make an effort.” Wilbur spat before face planting back into the cushion.
Typical Wilbur.
Always the drama queen.
Phil just sighed as he dragged a hand down his face giving Techno an apologetic look as his other son rolled his eyes. This morning's events had certainly been a lot. There was still a part of him that wanted to race back to the park just in case Tommy was still there. It was silly; he knew that, but that didn’t change how he felt about it. Wasn’t hard to see where Wilbur got his clinginess from- even if he himself had his emotions in check.
“Do you think we’ll ever see him again?” Wilbur asked softly, hope evident despite knowing the answer.
“That will depend on Tommy I’m afraid.”
The offer was there. Their doors were open if Tommy were to come back and something told Phil he might. The child didn’t seem to have received an ounce of true care before meeting them and Tommy obviously craved it. But his cautious nature seemed to be holding him back and he couldn’t blame him if his suspicions were right.
“If he ever needs help, he’ll know where to find us.”
“We shouldn’t have let him go in the first place.” Wilbur protested sourly as he sat up and abruptly crossed his arms. “What if he goes back home and gets hurt worse that he doesn’t make it out huh? We don’t even know where he lives to help him if something goes wrong!”
Phil sighed tiredly as he walked over and joined Wilbur on the couch, throwing his arm over his son's shoulder and rubbing the other comfortingly.
“Wilbur, I know your heart is in the right place and I’m so proud of you for keeping calm when we left him at the park, but if we had forced Tommy to tell us and made him take us back, what would that feel like for Tommy?” Phil gave his son’s shoulder a squeeze.
“Do you think you’d trust me again if you didn’t know me and forced me to tell you things that might get you hurt for sharing later? How do we know that us showing up might escalate things further and put Tommy in danger? We just don’t know.”
Wilbur leaned into his father’s embrace and pushed his head into his fathers shoulder like he was six years old and trying to hide from the world again.
“I hate it when you’re right.” he muffledly replied in the blondes embrace.
Techno eyed his father and brother from behind the paper and mentally groaned. It didn’t take a genius to know that his Dad had grown attached to the boy like his brother and if they did show their face back here, it’d be just his luck they’d have a new permanent resident soon. His family knew how to be patient when it mattered.
He couldn’t say he was surprised really. His family had been helping people like Tommy for years. Phil was like a mother bird and everyone in need of help his chicks. It was admirable in all honesty, but he just couldn’t shake his thoughts from earlier.
It shouldn’t bother him really, but that same funny feeling returned when the boy's terror filled eyes flashed in his mind and that off feeling returned.
Perhaps he should have stayed and met Tommy properly…
 ・ 。゚☆: *. .*  ・ 。゚☆ : ☽ .* ・ 。゚☆: *. .
YAY! IT'S OUT! FINALLY! Techno is so sus of Tommy and I love it! There's a reason he avoids Techno's stuff and I can't wait to do more with his character soon!
I have gone back and forth on this Chapter so many times it's not funny! Chapter 6 is being written and I have probably jinxed myself saying it, but I hope to get the next part out sooner than to have such a massive gap between chapters. It really is my baby and I just want to get it finished! Thanks to Munchkin for Beta reading for me again (and fixing my bad grammar again lol)

Gotham Bats ruin and save Spiderman's Operation Nest
This is like a story concept written out for a Spider-Man Batfam crossover fic I don't have the time to write fully. This is more developed than a prompt but, still is thought I'd share and maybe you guys will enjoy it and/or somebody will pick it up and develop it into a fully fledged fic. So here it goes-
A more spidery Spider-Man is dropped into a DC universe right into Gotham. It's the beginning of fall in Gotham which is a problem for a Spider seeing as he is stranded in another universe with nothing but his Spidey suit and his AI companion. He has no access to the synthesized hormone cocktail he's been taking in the winter to keep him from going into hibernation. Now Peter could get together the stuff to synthesize the medication but, he need a stable place to set up a running lab to make it as he'd need it fresh and take it on the regular. That is a lot of work and resources he'd have to come up with and maintain. Also he is a depressed boi and a long nap actually sound really good. So instead of trying to set up a lab he starts Operation Nest. He is going to find a small enclosed space and prepare it for his long winters nest.
Peter also decides pretty quickly with all the crazy dangers of Gotham and all the warnings of what Karen was able to find after connecting to this world's version of the Internet to keep the suit on and just be Spider-Man full time. The suit would keep him safe from chemical attacks and the overall pollution of Gotham as well as keep him anonymous in the very likey event he has to use his powers to defend himself. Which will let him keep a nice civilian identity that Karen crafted come spring if he chooses to.
Peter's first two objectives in Operation Nest are to get money and find a location. The first Karen helps him with easily setting up a company, then filing and selling some benign patents, since this world is really behind in tech. She also helps him get more immediate cash without crossing into stealing just by doing online commissions for simple tech support type things while the patent money is still pending. Peter gets a laptop that he uses to help with some of the tech work even though Karen can literally do five jobs at once under several fake IDs she made herself.
Most of the day for Peter however is spent looking for real estate. Which is harder in Gotham than one might think considering the rival gangs, rival super villains constantly blowing up things, and all the homeless fighting over whatever is left of the abandoned buildings. The only good thing about all this is a giant spider nest will go relatively unnoticed amongst all the other craziness. Peter's adventures running all over Gotham trying to find a place to hunker down for a couple of months cause him to run into all sorts of characters.
Peter is in a weirdly apathetic state towards himself with all his trauma so he saves people obviously, and is still empathic, maybe more so with trying to get the villians to be better people and just talking with them like real people but, he is really basley about his own safety. He has already lost everyone he cares about and he's faced down Thanos, so none of the villians at this point faze him. He doesn't see them as a threat to himself. He ends up making a bunch of friends with villains by continuing what May believed in, what Ben believed in, and helps the villains out so they can hopefully make a change.
The bats hear about him and decide to investigate but all of them get terrible first impressions and they assume he's a villain or going to be one if they don't find him. Peter is OP and scary. He's not given up his friendly neighborhood spider-man but he has stopped trying as hard to look human type of friendly. He just has slow given into being a spider and is creepy. He also leaves spider webs everywhere, since his natural ones don't dissolve like the artificial ones that he uses sparingly. This also freaks them out and there is debate on whether what they are hunting is a meta human or an intelligent spider creature. Also at least one bat at the beginning runs into one of the webs and at least one gets temporarily stuck to a criminal they are trying to free from a cocoon
By the time the bats find Spider-Man they are all convinced that he's a villain plotting something big but really they've just been stalking Peter as he completes his to do list for Operation Nest. All the dangerous equipment and suspicious purchases from villains were really to get his nest set up. Peter knew his friends had some of the stuff he needed like a cytogenetic freezer to keep some of his food from spoiling over the course of a few months since he doesn't want anyone making deliveries to his house while he's hibernating. His friends were happy to help although he still paid them despite their insistence not to.
Karen thinks it's hilarious. Although they acknowledge itd be better to just explain the situation to the bats before Peter is in active hibernation and let them find them. They totally ruin their bust by opening the doors of a small dilapidated old tailors shop in the fashion district, where Peter had set up his nest in the basement. Peter isn't happy with them feeling very territorial. He wants them not to touch anything as he shows them into his nest. He warns them and they are a bit freaked out when he hisses at them when they inevitably ignore he's instructions out of curiosity but then settle a bit when they notice how tired he is. Cass probably gets them to back off. He explains things enough so they leave him to his hibernation with the promise of hanging out in the spring.
Or alternatively. Karen is too busy setting things up she doesn't notice with her smaller processing power disconnected from Stark Tech as she is to notice the Bats noticing them. Then she is being wired into the Nest when they start getting close so, she doesn't know they are closing in. Then she is doing system checks to make sure she is able to monitor Peter when he's hibernating and can use the machines and mechanical arms to help Peter for the parts of his hibernation he will be awake or partially awake to handle his bodily needs before cocooning back into his Nest made of his natural webs and blankets.
Karen doesn't know they are there until they break her perimeter alarms and she is forced to use her defensive measures since Peter has just gone into hibernation like a day ago. The bats having more resources than Karen at their disposal and coming at her from all angles breach her defenses and get into The Nest. Karen does her best to rouse Peter with alarms blaring but she is only able to get him into a semi state of consciousness. Not enough to move him without drugging him which would be dangerous for his health and with so many coming for her charge she does her best to throw her mechanically arms in front of him to guard him where he is.
The bats once they see a sleepy confused Peter with a strange woman's voice begging them to leave him alone they feel bad realizing they judged him wrong. Especially after seeing him adorably yawn with his fangs popping out.

Tumblr media
For those who don't know, I am reading TGCF for the first time and sharing my thoughts!
If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.
Also- if you want to follow along, I am aiming to post updates daily. You can find all the posts in the tag Bloopitynoot reads TGCF. You can also check out the intro post for context on my read BUT if you followed along with my SVSSS read, the rules and vibe are the same.

Today I wanted something Dramatic for tea so I went with a stunningly red hibiscus. It was so cool to watch it steep- it looked like my steeper was bleeding into the water!
In other news- I was marked safe at work today LOL, but still up in the air (manifestations of my continued employment are very much welcome :'3).
For the next 5 days I will be away at a conference, though (I have packed my books!) I do plan to still post a chapter a day - but it will be a different location than normal.
For now, let's get into chapter 92!

oh fuck, okay. New theory; Hua Cheng is trying to protect Xie Lian's metal health and well being because these statues are definitely of him p25
I really hope there isn't a giant spider at the end of these webs! horrifying! p29
these two are still hashing it out. I'm glad they're at least working through it though. p33
WIAT! THEY'RE CLONES OF FENG XIN and MU QING!!!!I thought they were unique people! These two kind of just got cuter. I love them! p33
The twists!
I still think Xie Lian is going to struggle a bunch more in this book- I am not mentally prepared but the story needs to unfold.
At this point I am convinced that Xie Lian is indeed the crown prince (past, present, and future lol) and these statues are all of him. I also think that Hua Cheng knows everything and is trying to spare is man, but that this is going to inevitably make it worse for him when the reveal occurs.
I hope I'm wrong :(((((

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The weels on the bus go round and round all through the town!" Your classmates were practically screaming that song on the bus.
Your class was going on a field trip to a historical cave today. I mean what a great ideal to let a group of noisy and cayotic freshman go on a field trip to a cave.
You being the only antisocial kid on the bus you sat a bit closer to front where it was more quiet and less noisy. Also so you could get off first.
As the came to a stop you watched your teacher stand up. Miss Rodriguez was a nice teacher so of course the class practical begged and pleaded for her to come with us.
Their was another teacher but they are going to walk behind the class so that nobody walks off or gets lost.
"Alright class I want you all to be on your best behavior alright." "Yes miss Rodriguez." Miss Rodriguez got up and began to head to the door you got up and followed her. With everyone else behind you.
Miss Rodriguez came to a stop at the cave entrance, she walked over to a person standing near the entrance of the cave. Who you guess was the tour guide.
She talked with the lady for a minute before the both of them came over to your class. "Class this is Mrs Debbie she is going to be our tour guide."
Mrs Debbie smiled at the class. She had strawberry blonde hair with a streak of blue in it. Her eyes were a nice shade of blue, what shade? You didn't quite know her teeth had a small gap in the front.
Over she looked like a cheery and cute person.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The walk in the cave was going by quite fast your class was already quiet deep down in the cave. So deep that the only light that you could see was the light from your classmates flashlights.
"EEKK!" A girl in the back of the bus screamed causing everyone to turn around and look at her. The girl that screamed was no other than Hailey the cheer captain.
"Dear are you alright?" Miss Debbie asked concerned as to why someone was screaming. "This place is infested with spiders and spider webs!" Hailey spat with disgust in her voice.
"Your correct Hailey, this place is filled with spiders and spider webs. But we don't exactly know how they got here. The story that most people say was a miner went into the depths of this cave hoping to dig up some ores to sell when he opened up a cave packed with spiders and spider webs. But in the center of it all was a giant spider."
You could practically see most of the girls shaking from the story that Mrs Debbie has told. "But I wouldn't worry to much about that it is just a story after all."
You all continue the descent into the cave with Mrs Debbie saying the occasional facts and story's. When you heard another scream. Everyone turned their eyes and heads to look at Hailey.
How even Hailey was confused. "Why are you all starring at me, I didn't scream I was talking to cherry and Jack." Both cherry and Jack noded in agreement.
"That must mean somebody got lost in the cave." Mrs Debbie stated. "Let's go and try to find them." As your class walked in deeper their seemed to be more spider webs.
Untill you heard another scream this time coming from your left. Everyone turned to your left only to see what seemed to be another cave opening?
You all walked inside it looked like a empty room in the caves. Before you could get a good look at the room the flashlights all went out and their was a thud behind you.
The flashlights went out probably from them over using their batteries but the thud behind you, you didn't know what that was.
"Hold on everyone I got another flashlight." You previously didn't use your flashlight because you found it useless because everyone else had their out already. But now your glad you didn't use it.
You grabbed your flashlight out your bag and turned it on however when you turned it on you were meet with the mortified faces of your classmates.
"Why are you all staring at me like that?" You knew you didn't talk much but for them to stare at you like this when you talk made you uncomfortable.
Soon you heard Hailey scream but this time nobody turned around to look at her to focused on you, or more exactly what was behind you. "Hailey are you alright?"
You reached your hand out and took a step forward only to be pulled back into someone's chest. They had their arms warped around you.
Luckily you didn't drop your flashlight. Before you were able to yell at the person behind you they spoke first. "You have a wonderful voice and your so kind I'll think I'll keep you as a pet."
You froze you didn't recognize that voice at all, and what did they mean by pet. Looking down you saw giant spider legs.
You felt your heart drop and your blood run cold. You didn't know what was behind you but you now know why your classmates were mortified.
You were even more terrified because you were being held by what ever it was. The thing soon began to walk to a giant cushy spot and sat down on it. All eyes were on this creature as it moves with you.
When it sat down it also forced you to sit down Infront of it's two weird spider legs in the front. You felt him place his chin in the crook of your neck. You were frozen by fear and so was everyone else.
"My name's Takuya Kaora. What brings you all here?" You could feel him puting his forehead into the crook of your neck. You could also feel him grin.
"Calm down doll I'm not going to hurt you." Takuya whispered in a voice so quite that only you could hear it.
"W-we we're following a scream." Jack spoke for everyone causing people to snap out of their trance. Takuya began to chuckle quietly, that chuckle soon turned into a loud laugh causing everyone to be on edge.
"Haha I'm sorry for laughing but I think you were just following the sound of my imitation spider." His laugh sounded real but their was something behind that laugh.
"Imitation spider?" Your voice was quiet but everyone heard it. Everyone snapped their heads twords you now noticing what situation you were in.
"Yes doll an imitation spider, it can mimick any noise it wants." Takuya held out a hand Infront of you in his hand was a spider no bigger than three fingers. It had a white body with red markings on it.
You reached out your hand and it crawled into yours, the spider was practically harmless.
Takuya let out a small smile seeing you play with his favorite spider. "Why on earth would an imitation spider bring us here?" Debbie bravely asked.
"Well to bring me some snacks of course." Everyone in the room froze. "W-what" Cherry's voice broke the silence. Takuya got up from behind you and walked in front of you, giving you a better view of him.
He had white hair, and pale skin with pointy ears. His sclera was black instead of white with scarlet irises. He had black lines over the top half of his body. Some of the lines met at his chest and formed some kind of shape. I'm the middle of that shape was a scarlet diamond.
The lower half of his body was that of a spider. It was dark purple with scarlet marks on it.
Your classmates backed up twords where the exit of the cave was. But the cave was blocked up. "Theirs no use leaving I already blocked the exit off."
You sat there frozen in fear as you watched you classmates get knocked out and wrapped up in cocoons before being placed in a spider web.
Takuya began to walk back towards you, trying your hardest to move you realized to your but was stuck to the soft cushion Wich you realized was a spider web.
Takuya stood right in front of you. "I need to get you some new clothes because once I remove you from the web you'll rip your pants. Isn't that right Y/n."
You didn't respond. "Probably something good for a pet don't you think Y/n.
You didn't respond.
"Fine if you're not going to talk, I'll make it so that you can't."

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I wanted to ask if you would be willing to post what you have for the pregnant!Yuu in The monster AU. I understand not all of it is done but I would really like to read what you have if you are willing. What is most important to me though is that you take care of yourself so if not it's all good. *Finger Guns*
Hello! I'm doing okay. Been taking care and just working on some self-care, and I've been enjoying the process of writing again. UvU
I'd love to share, but considering how close I am to finishing it (I've literally got two more dorm reactions to go and they're after the birth), I feel like posting the final story once I finally get around to it and finish? It might wind up feeling flat or like it wouldn't have as much impact as I'd like as a writer. Sorry, but I'd like to wait to post the finished product, since knowing me, I might wind up making edits to the parts I do post!
I will say though that I feel like I'm starting to enjoy writing for Twisted Wonderland on my own time again, and I've come to realize something. Some of the initial posts I had done for some of my AUs were well received, but I realized that I wound up RUSHING the creation and storytelling that didn't match the vision I had in my mind. So what am I doing on my own time besides writing fanfics for other fandoms?
Rewriting the first two chapters of Kaiju!AU and fleshing them out even more! And trust me when I say, this is far more detailed and elaborately written than before and I am loving every single bit of it!
There's a tiny bit more cursing involved than before (because believe me, if a person who doesn't normally curse can say "holy fuck!!!" five times in a row after walking face first into a giant spider web, anyone else would start cursing in fear when face to face with giant bugs and kaiju!), though that may change again when I do a last edit of it all. We'll see!
I'll also be considering rewriting some of the other AU posts as well, but we'll see what motivation hits when it comes to those. Either way, I'm just excited and happy!
If anyone is interested in seeing a snippet of what I've got for that rewrite, I'm willing to share a little bit of it!
I hope everyone is doing okay and remembering to take care of themselves ;;v;;

okayokay, so here's the lore to my lil dragon hybrid
so I kinda cooked up this hc that giant spiders exist on southern islands, right on the edge of the map.
Hidden in tunnels below the earth and spread between enormous trees are rows and rows of webs, thick as ropes.
It is not unusual for dragons to get trapped between these webs, tangling their wings and tails in those deadly strands of silk, their spikes and claws and teeth unable to save them from their gruesome fate once they got caught.
But
It is also not unusual, as we all know, for species to adapt to their environment over the course of many generations, thanks to coincidental mutations and recombination that change their genepool, causing variation in their Geno-and Phenotypes, which gets single individuals to be better fit for a new environment and then reproduce and hand those certain advantageous characteristics over to their offspring.
(so much for my side quest about evolution)
Now, let's say a certain dragon, or a small group of that dragon species, got abducted by a storm or a nature catastrophe, or vikings suddenly inhabiting their living space, sent off to this island with the giant spiders. (This process is called gene-drift, specifically founder effect, if I translated that correctly). So of course they had to adapt, using the now reduced variety of gene variants in their genepool.
And now let's say, that this tiny population of, in this case, Deathsongs, had a few individuals who had a row of claws down each of their wings, which helped them fly between the spiderwebs by cutting through them.
These individuals survived because they had a stronger biological fitness, and maybe they even reproduced with the spiders, who knows, nature is crazy.
So that's how, thanks to biology, this little Spidersong (it's what I call the hybrids, ehehe) managed to survive and learn from the spiders, using those techniques of building tunnels and making webs, once it was back on the mainland.
I like to think that only few actually survived this process of evolution, and that they're now scattered across the southern lands because the original island they inhabited with the spiders got swallowed by the ocean
Maybe I'll come up with a story on how our Spidersong handles humans, who knows.
@noxspider this is for you, cuz you gave me motivation to actually come up with something, lol

mr and mrs parker
pairing: peter parker x fem!reader
wc: 1.7K
warnings: none. clean as a whistle
summary: fury has assigned you and peter on an undercover mission. as a married couple. and the two of you haven’t even been on a first date yet. used prompts 3 and 7 from oblivious pining from @mangocherri
A/N: peter and reader are aged up to 21, but there’s nothing explicit happening.
masterlist / peter parker
Tumblr media
“the both of you are going undercover at the event as a married couple. need these bugs to be planted where you deem fit. keep tabs on anyone suspicious, and stay lively and sober. be the happy couple.” fury left the tiny bugging devices and exited the room without further words.
you and peter stayed quiet while both of you sat at the giant conference table. two manilla envelopes were sitting in front of each of you with information on the targets and the object of the mission. along with the cover story, the both of you being the happy mr and mrs parker couple.
now there was a slight problem with the cover story, you were a married couple. not even a regular couple, just two friends/coworkers who have crushes on each other but are too chicken to do anything about it.
“ever been to an event like this?” peter asked. the first one to break the growing silence in the room.
you bent the corner of the folder, “uh, yeah. but only twice and both were in the shadow missions. being dressed as a waiter, passing through the crowd unnoticed. now i’m gonna be dressed nice and done up, eyes watching. still never used to that feeling.” hand leaving the card stock and falling into your lap. “you?” already knowing the answer.
he shook his head, “not my thing. usually, it’s spider-man coming in to save the day.”
“well,” you stood from your seat, “for the day we can pretend to be fancy people and a lovely couple.” hoping you didn’t show too much excitement for the last part.
“best day ever.” peter replied as he grabbed his papers, a nice red ghosting on his cheeks.
-
“excited?” natasha walked into your room and sat on the foot of your made bed.
you were sitting at your desk which was your temporary vanity for the time getting ready. tubes and powers, palettes and brushes were scattered over the surface, a task for future you to clean up. hair painstakingly styled from your usual combat sleek look, your arms getting their workout for the day.
you sighed at natasha’s question, “i feel sick,” grumbled as you looked for your blush. natasha just laughed at the comment, “that’s the butterflies, honey. your nervous cause of your partner. i’m sorry, husband.” she practically sang the word.
you dropped your voice, “no, it's not cause of peter. i’m just not used to being in an eye-catching position.” touching up your eye makeup for distraction.
“uh huh.” she didn’t sound convinced, “well, i’m sure my memory doesn’t fail me cause i swear, there was this girl a few months ago who came to me frantic about this crush she had on a bug superhero. but i guess i’m old since i’m in my late thirties.”
you dropped any brushes or makeup from your hand back to the table. a defeated sigh racking from your chest, “okay, yes, fine. it’s mostly cause of peter and how we’re probably gonna hold hands and maybe need to kiss or something. but there is a small part cause of the mission, that’s one hundred percent true.”
natasha stood from your bed and walked behind you, hands squeezing your shoulders, “you’re gonna do great, honey. you’re one of the youngest SHIELD agents, you know what you’re doing. and peter’s been getting better at undercover, there’s nothing to worry about. a simple bug and mingle.”
the two of you locked eyes in your mirror. natasha felt like an older sister hyping you up for your high school dance with a boy you liked, but in reality, it was an agent-to-agent pep talk for an undercover op with a web-crawling hero. tomato potato.
a gentle knock at the door stole the attention. you yelled for them to enter and peter poked his head around the gap, he sent a sheepish smile in greeting, and it made those flutters reappear.
“hi, sorry. don’t mean to bother-“ “your not a bother.” quickly interrupting peter. you ignore the look natasha sent you.
peter chuckled lightly, “thanks. uh, i was wondering if either of you could help with my bow tie? i can’t find anyone else in the tower and i wasn’t taught….” he trailed off while playing with the black fabric.
natasha patted your shoulders before moving away, “y/n can help. so i’m gonna head out and the two of you enjoy your date- sorry, mission.” leaving the both of you warm in the face and also giving peter a pat on his back before closing your door behind her. and then it was two.
you stood from your chair and made your way to peter. “sorry about her. loves messing with people.” rolling your lips and eyes shying away from peter’s pretty brown ones. again a light chuckle from him, “it’s- it’s fine. kinda used to that from my aunt.”
you nodded, “ready for tonight?” bouncing on the balls of your feet. you were still dressed in a loose shirt and shorts, planning to slip into your dress in a few minutes.
peter played with his bow tie, “physically just about. mentally… need a few more minutes to be thrown into the lion's den.” now you laughed as you plucked the fabric from him and stepped closer, “it’s not so much a lion's den, more like a… a monkey den.”
you popped peter’s stiff collar and slipped the fabric behind his neck, end pieces adjusted evenly. “what makes it a monkey’s den?” peter tilted his head back a little, chin almost hitting your forehead.
you spoke into his chest, fingers bending and twisting. “their all dressed in their monkey suits and throwing bullshit at each other. all they need is a couple of hung tires and boom, monkey den ala rich assholes.” pulling the finished bow tight.
you took a step back to admire your handiwork. peter dropped his head and his darting brown eyes made you part your lips subconsciously. peter swiped his hands down his pressed white button-up, “how- how do i look? like i’ll fight in?”
you let your eyes drift down his chest, the shirt loose enough that it wouldn’t strain when he moved his arms. the end of the shirt tucked into his black dress pants that were without a wrinkle and stopped just at his ankle. but when you went from toe to head, you only saw a boyish face with little bits of baby fat clinging to his cheeks. how he smiled awkwardly, teeth flashing white, his eyes nervous and almost blinking too many times.
“you won’t fit in.” saying the statement gently. peter deflated a bit, a crinkle in the middle of his brows. you gained that previous step back, right hand hesitantly falling over peter’s heart.
“but it’s best you don’t look like them. want you to stand out as your own.” boldly gazing into his eyes, letting your words melt into his brain for a moment before walking away. “now, uh, if you could just stay here so you could help with my dress that’d be great.”
“yeah! ye-yeah, can- can do that.” and you heard the heels of his sleek leather shoes click on your floor.
you grabbed the all-black gown from your closet and led into your connected bathroom. stripping off your casual comfy clothes, you held the dress to the floor and stepped in from the top to save your hair and makeup from friction. thick black straps sit on your shoulders and with a hand over your chest, you slide the door to shuffle back to the open space.
peter had his hands stuffed into his pockets and was leaning into your desk area, eyes taking in all the photos decorating your dirty mirror. he had a soft smile on his thin lips.
“a little help, spider boy.” sneaking up on him and not withholding the little giggle at seeing him startle in surprise. “thought you had a tingle for danger.”
“it’s called spider sense and you're not a danger, at least not to me.” you hummed as you turned your back to peter. you peeked a glance over your shoulder to see peter standing pretty close to your back, closer than would be normal to zip up a dress. he pulled both sides of the fabric tight then held them with one hand at the top of your back while his dominant hand tugged up the zipper slowly. you sucked in the sigh that wanted to escape at the feeling of peter’s touch and warmth, you kept your head forward and eyes focused on your messy bed.
peter stopped and you thought he was done but then his wrist skimmed across your neck and you couldn’t help the audible gasp. “sorry, didn’t want your hair getting caught.” his voice was low. “it’s okay.” almost breathless. “it’s- it’s beautiful. your hair and- and makeup. just not used to seeing you dressed up.”
a quick laugh, “yeah, definitely out of my comfort zone. but it’s- it’s not too bad. at least you're in the same boat, i’m- i’m guessing.” chiding yourself for the assumption, but peter quickly quelled the nerves, “definitely out of my zone. there, all done.”
turning to face peter you did the same actions as him earlier, looking down at your attire and smoothing your hands over invisible wrinkles. “not too much? not trying to draw attention.”
you waited to hear an answer but it never came. you looked away from the dress to see peter with wide eyes and a tight mouth. you stepped closer and pressed the back of your hand to his cheek and exposed forehead, “you okay?”
he mindlessly nodded, and you stepped away to look for your tiny heels. but stopped in your search at the crack of peter’s voice and the heart-racing words that left his mouth.
“what?” your own eyes blown large. peter scratched a hand on the back of his hair before shoving it into his pockets. he cleared his throat and looked directly at you while repeating, “you- you look beautiful. hard to not draw attention.” he cleared his throat again.
“uh, th- thanks, peter.”
“yeah… well i’m- im gonna wait outside. see- see you in a few minutes.” and he left before you could protest his absence.

Weclome to Gravity Falls
Lake cryptic >>
Tumblr media
Looked out the window of the bus as it passes tall Pine trees. You here your two friends a few sets behind you talk and joke around.
You had came with your two friends Mable and Dipper Pines. To spend your summer in a small unknown town called Gravity Falls.
The place sounded familiar to you, but you brushed it of. Dipper and Mable were going to be living in there Grate Uncle  Stan's house called the Mystery Shack.
The S on the sign on top of the roof fell of. So it said Mystery hack instead. You on the other hand we're going to be in a cottage farther out in the woods.
So when you three got off the bus arriving in the town. The three of you agreed that you should all got things settled first. Then meet up at the Shack
As you told the twins that you would fallowed the detections on your phone of where the cottage was. You eventually found were the cotta would be.
In a big clearing in the woods the size of a football field. You looked around to see if anything was close by. After making sure the cost was clear you moved a rock of the side of a tree.
Under the rock was a hand scanner. Putting your hand on it. The scanner blue light scared your hand then it pricked your finder getting a blood sample.
The ground then started to slowly rumble as it then opens up as a small ordinary cottage house. You went inside and cleaned it up a bit since it was keeper neatly already.
Getting out of the cottage you then clapped your hands making the cottage to then shape shift into another looking home that was basically made in a giant tree.
Tumblr media
You pulled out a key with a weird looking eye on it. Tre eye was black with a golden brown cat like ires.
The cottage was fantastic on the inside it took you a bit to clean up the place of its dust and spider webs. You then checked by our phone to see when the delivery truck was going to arrive.
You knew that this version of the house was the one you would be staying in the most. The other form was just a cover up. In a clap of your hand it can change from being one to the other. Even if you were inside of the house.
Looking at your the mirror in your room. You see what you look like. The way your hair was down to the shirts and shirt you had on.
Walking up the mirror you touch your right cheek and look into your eyes. "You know you need to keep this look of you want to stay hidden."
"It has to be this way."
"He told you you had to. Even if I want to tell the twins. You can't Y/n you know you can't."
shaking your head brushing off the felling, and get back to unpacking your stuff. As well as already getting things in there place.
Checking your phone you see that it was now 4 pm you arrived here around 1. "Well might as well get done groceries as well as other supplies."
As you walked into the forest bin the detection of the town you hear the muffled sound of a..... heavy stomping ?
Stoping in your takes you look around to see if anything is around you. "Naw it's probably a tree that fell down somewhere."
As you continue to walk you eventually made it to the town. It was true to its name it was small. It looked more like a neighborhood of stores. The so called Mall was only two stories tall plus looked to be the average size of a Walmart.
Plus a lot of things were so close together. There was a bar only two stores down from a library.
After a bit you got everything you needed. As you walked back  to the forest you decided to pass by the  Mystery Shack. When you  turned the corner to get to the front door.
You see a giant monster made up of gnomes? You then see Mable and Dipper use a leaf blower as a rocket launcher to the giant gnome monster. Making all the gnomes scatter around the place.
You see how tired Mable and Dipper were, so you decided to not go up to them at the moment. So instead you continued your way to your home.
When you got back you put your stuff of the kitchen table. Then getting your phone to text the twins.
They both said that it was ok that hey also had a tough day getting settled in as well.
After getting all the food into the fridge and pantry. Plus cleaning and other hygiene stuff in place/ stock.
You went to your room as got changed and got into bed.
》 ━━━━━━━━━ ⊱✫⊰ ━━━━━━━━━ 《
Time skip
The next day you wake up and do all your morning routine stuff. You then when over to your closet and moved some Jacket to reveal a secret door.
Opening it showed that it healed a not of glass containers with a orange looking liquid inside of it. You take on of the bottles and drink it all down. "Plah this tastes awful." Then changed into something cute.
Tumblr media
Plus making your breakfast and taking some cash with you in case. Walking in the detection of the shake you see that's were are a few cars parked outside of it. Probably tourists.
Go into the shake throw the Gift shop area. You see a another teenager at the register. She had red hear and a green plad button up shirt with some boots on with a lumberjack hat on.
She had her feet up on the rejuntes desk as she read a magazine. Of to the other side of the gift shop. Was a tall middle aged man that had a green shirt with a question mark on it, and a brown cap on.
He seemed to be a handy was as he was fixing up a shelf and had a tool belt on. Walking over to the teen so see if the twins were here.
"Hey are Dipper and Maple Pines here?" The teen looked over at you from the side of her magazine before putting it down on the counter. "Yeah there here. Just give me a second."
She then got up and went over to a door next to the vending machine and yelled into the door. "Mable! Dipper! There's someone here for you!" You jumped a bit at the sudden yell she did for the twins.
She then got back to where she was. "Your not from here." She said as she then looked throw her phone.
" No I'm not. How could you tell?" You asked as you took a seat on a barrel next to her.
"Well when you live in a small town like this. You basically know everyone that lives here." The teen said then put her phone back into her pocket.
"So what's your name and how do you know the Pine twins?"
"Oh sorry forgot to introduce my self there. Im y/n and I'm a friend of the twins that is also staying here for the summer."
"That's cool. How come your not staying here at the Mystery Shack?"
Well I'm staying in a cottage that's a bit farther out in the woods from here. (Quick y/n come up with a excuse) "It's a old family house, but I'll be in it for the summer."
"Oh that's nice plus you have a cute dress. I'm Wendy Corduroy  by the way" she raised her fist to you.
"Well nice to meet you Wendy." You retired the jesters giving her a fist bump.
The sound of two running foot steps were heard. As the twins then came throw the door of the inside of the Shack.
"Y/N YOUR HERE!!" Mable yelled out as she tackled you with a hug. That badly slowed you to breathe.
"Mable.    I can't.    Breathe." You patted her on the back to try to tell her to let go.
"Mable let go y/n can't breathe" Dipper came up to his sister.
"Oh sorry y/n. I'm just so excited to see you again" Mable said as she let go of you.
"Mable you say me yesterday. Your acting like I've been gone for the past month." You said as you got your breath back.
"Well might as well since we didn't get to show you the shack  yesterday." Dipper chimed in as be patted you on the back.
"Oh your right Dipper we should show her around the shack. Then many the town to." Mable said as she then started to jump around me and Dipper.
Well I already went into town yesterday. So all I need to see is the Shack." You told them, but Mable then grabbed your hand and ran farther into the shack. Dragging you in the process.
But before the two could even start the tour. They were stoped at the door by a old man in a suit.
"Wow there you two. You may be living in my shack but that dose not mean I'll let your little friend in." He stud in front of us as he blocked the path.
"Aww come on Gruncle Stan. You can make an exception for y/n PLEASEEEEEE" Mable said as she then gave him the puppy dog eyes.
"Ok ok. Stop with the dog eyes Mable. I swear umm going to go blind if you do." Stan said as he then rubbed his eyes.
"Ok fine she can come over to the shack but you got to give me something in return. If I'm going to let you come here?" Stan said as then looked at me. "So what do you have to offer kid?"
You then went through your purse and got out a stack of money. "Well I have about 650$ on me."
The twins and Stan look at you in disbelief. Then grabs the stack of cash putting it into his pouches.
"Ok it's sealed you can come over to the shack when ever you want kid!" Stan said with a smile on his face as he pushed the three of you into the house part of the shack.
"Oh my name is actually y/n!" You tried to correct him. But a new group of tour cam into the shop getting Stan distracted.
"Well um either way let's go show you the shack y/n" Dipper said as they continued to walk.
"Yeah! Oh here's the living room!" Mable said as she pulled you to the living room that had a tv and one yellow couch infront of it. Then a dinosaur skull next to it. The room also had a long aquarium next to the wall.
》 ━━━━━━━━━ ⊱✫⊰ ━━━━━━━━━ 《
Time skip brought to you by the twins showing of the shack and ending it in the empty attic.
“That's the whole Shack y/n!" Mable said as we went up the empty attic.
“ I’m a lot surprised that Stan has a few weird things around the place."  You said as you got on the ledge next the stain as window.
"Either y/n I found a weird Journal in the woods yesterday." Dipper said as he then grabbed a old looking maroon colored journal. That had a gold six fingered hand on top with the number 3 on it.
"Wow?! so what dose it have in it?" You said as you got up and looked over his shoulder.
"Well almost anything!" It's a journal that has a lot of weird creatures from this town.
"Yeah it helped us yesterday when some gnomes said I was going to be there queen blah!" Mable said as she she did some type of craft of to the side.
" Mables right  y/n. At first It was amable dating some guy Norman. I was skeptical at first and thought he was a zombie from the journals descripción." Dipper said as he flipped throw a few pages before stopping at the zombie titled one.
Tumblr media
"But in reality it wasn't a zombie at all. It was actually a bunch of gnomes in a discuses. They wanted to make amable there queen." Dipper then flipped a few pages back to another page with gnomes in it.
Tumblr media
After a good hour of two Stan told the twins that they would be going to the store to get a few things.
"Oh well we got to go y/n." Dipper said as he got up.
"Oh what if you come with use?!" Mable said as she jumped up and down.
"Sorry maybe next time since I went shopping yesterday. But Dipper do you mind if I can look through the journal and take a few picks of it while your gone?"
You asked as the three of you went down the stairs to the front door.
"Sure I don't mind. Here take it  you can give it back to me tomorrow when you come back." Dipper handed you the journal  as they then got into Stan's car and drove of.
As you made your way home you continued to read the journal and taking a picture of it after reading the page.
The writing was a bit hard to read since it was in cursive, but you could read it.

Time skip
After a hour of reading the journal you arrived to one's of the final pages. It had a image of a figure that was triangle with a top hat and a bow tie.
Tumblr media
The page was so ominous. Well the whole journal was, but something about this page specifically made you feel off. You kept getting the feeling that there was something else wrong with it.
You didn't even try to read the page deciding that you read enough about the journal for now. Taking a pick of the page closing the journal. Then doing your things to get reader to sleep.

Scarlet Weaves
Wanda Maximoff x Spider-Man!Reader
a Scarlet Webs story
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been like a dream for Wanda. A new world. A new love. A new chance to live and love again.
She was undoubtedly in love with her Spider Monkey, you. It was amazing. The city welcomed her with open arms and even the press gave you and her a cute nickname: Scarlet Webs.
You and her had settled into a nice routine: breakfast with the team, patrol, date night, and then cuddle for the rest of the evening. It was simple, sweet, and it made Wanda feel like there could be a balance between hero and home life. Her heart only grew more and more for you. That life with a home and two little boys seemed so close to a reality.
So much so that she began looking at houses in the Queens area. It was just a mere fantasy but she just loved looking at pictures of houses in Queens. She even got so light jeering from Tony about it.
“Looking at housing for you and your web head?” He’d let out a little laugh. “Just pick one! I can buy any property you want. Just say the word, Red”
Tony kept you and the rest of the team on his payroll. Made sure that you and her were never starving or hurting for money.
Anyway that brings you and Wanda to tonight. You were having a little date night on the town. You were currently making out on a giant web that you spun in some hidden area of the city.
Wanda couldn’t help but giggle. It felt so enticing yet scandalous. You kept one hand on her back while the other was gently holding her cheek.
The two of you lost track of time as you rolled and kissed on that silky web. Wanda couldn’t help but feel like a teenager again.
“Detka” she whispers, out of breath.
“My little witch” you smile back as you gently massage her back. You never felt this way about anyone, let alone someone from another universe.
“I love you” she whispers against your lips.
“I love you and I’m crazy about you” you stare into her eyes longingly.
“I-I’ve been looking into some houses for us” she admits with a little embarrassed grin and blush.
“Really?” You ask back with smile. “You want a little place for us?”
She nods, “I-I love you and…I want to have a family with you. I-I know it seems like it’s all so fast and-“
You cut her off with another kiss. “I want you to be my family too. I’d love to grow old with you, have some kids with you, maybe have one too many drinks with you, watch some old sitcoms with you,” you found yourself rambling.
Wanda couldn’t help but laugh, she loved it when you rambled on like this.
She cut you off with a kiss of her own. “How about you feel about two boys and a little dog?”
“Sounds like paradise to me,” you answer back. “M-my aunt is selling her house in Queens”
“Really?”
“She’s allowing us to put in a bid for it. If you want” you shrug.
Wanda always loved your family. Honestly she could see herself growing old and raising a child or two in that house.
“Did you put in a bid?” She asks a little excitedly. You pull out a house key with a little smirk.
“We just have to sign the papers”
Wanda tackles you to your web, giggling and kissing you. In her excitement, Wanda’s hips end up grinding against yours. Her hands wander into your hair. Your own hands gently make their way under her shirt and up her spine. The two were lost in the heat of the moment. Little moans escape her lips. They were like a sweet symphony to your ears. How you longed to hear more.
“I love you. I love you so much!” Wanda cries. She never thought she could be this loved ever again.
“Wanda,” you groan a little, “we’re still technically out in public.
“Then take me home.” She purrs in your ear, “where no one can disturb us” she gently bites your lip.
“Yes ma’am” you whisper back as you pull her close and swing off your web.
Wanda Maximoff. The witch who literally fell out of her world and right into your arms. She finally found a reason to love again and a home to call her own. And it was all thanks to a little spider she calls her detka.

MAKING THE TF2 MERCS' ROOMS IN MINECRAFT!!
This is part 2 of my lil' series!! If you wish to see the previous part, which includes Spy and Heavy's rooms, you can see it
HERE!
And part 3 is HERE !!
Enough dilly dally ! Here are the next mercs!!
3) The Scout
I admit, I didn't know what I wanted for this guy at first. Like Heavy, I didn't have many headcanons about him. Unless it was about him getting bullied by everyone else. But then I remembered Lil' Pootis exists and it showed Scout's room fully, so I took a bit of inspiration as a start. And then I took into account that not only is Scout OBSESSED with Tom Jones (hence the sign, which is supposed to say "Bring Tom Jones Memorabilia"), but Scout also enjoys baseball. Taking the inspiration from Lil' Pootis and his established interests into account, this what I came up with.
I raised Scout's bed since I believe he likes to jump down as a bit of adrenaline in the morning. (I headcanon him as an adrenaline junkie and love going headfirst into battle because it's such a rush to run through bullets and dodging people fighting him.) The paintings along the wall are supposed to be posters of Tom Jones while the ones by his bed are pictures of his family and Ms. Pauling (she's not gonna kiss you bro...). Speaking of the wall, I put targets on it so he can practice throwing his baseball at it. So when he's bored he just throws the ball at the targets and continuously catches it once it bounces back. The armor stand with the head is a dummy that's supposed to be an extra target. The little "fridge" is Scout's fridge that he asked Engie to make for him and that's where Scout stores his BONK! The heads beside the bed is supposed to Tom Jones figurines :) Lastly, the three story dresser not only stores Scout's clothes, but they also store his weapons and his comic books (how Pootis inspired me LOL). OH!! Bonus, the lantern in the corner is there because the lamp (which is supposed to be for when Scout reads his books) didn't provide enough light to properly illuminate his room.

4) The Pyro
Okay I admit I did derive a lot of inspiration from Lil' Pootis when building Pyro's room, but I tried to put my own spin onto her room. I will say Pyro's room was a lot of fun to make though. And I hope Pootis won't kill me for the amount of inspiration I've taken..
So first of all, while I haven't shown the door, there is gasoline leaking out because Pyro can be a bit clumsy and spilled the gasoline onto the floor. The gasoline is supposed to be the vases by the door. I wish I could put a vase onto the side to represent the spillage but :/ The giant black spot on the wall is supposed to be a massive burn. Pyro blasted her flamethrower at the wall, but was stopped so she doesn't burn the building to the ground. That clearly didn't stop her considering she has an active fire in the corner with a bunch of torches on the walls gjsgskskh. Aside from the burns, there's also blood on the walls because like Solly, she likes storing body parts (even if she thinks they're stuffed toys). The paintings on her wall are drawings she made herself, one of them are actually a gift from Scout while another is a gift from Engie. Pyro has a little music place too, but her tastes are more... chaotic... compared to Heavy and Spy. The adjustable bookcase is her nightstand where Pyro leaves her lighter and flare gun!! In the center of the room is her little tea party!! Where Pyro has her cake (baked by Heavy at her request) while having the body parts she stole of her victims !! The spider webs in the corner isn't there because of any neglect, it's actually Pyro's pet. She found a spider that one of the mercs were about to kill and she immediately saved it and kept it in her room. Now it hangs out in her room!!

5) The Medic
Medic's room was honestly really easy to work on. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, which made this room a BREEZE. Also yes, Medic does NOT want anyone needing medical attention near the quarters, he wants PEACE go AWAY. So the bars and stone slabs are birdcages. When Engie moved to Medic's room, he requested the birds to be caged at least at night. Medic reluctantly agreed because whatever the husband wants... Since Medic and Engie share this room, they have their own night stands AND lamps, but it's mainly for late night reading or illuminating the room when one of the birdies need something. Beside the bed, there's a little desk with a picture that's supposed to show Engie's family. The tulip on the table is a flower Engie gave to Medic on their first date :) While they share a lot, they don't share a dresser, Medic's idea. Between the dressers is their wedding photo <3 The barrels are where bird food and other things for the birds are stored. The signs are both a label and a reminder of feeding the birds. They both share the responsibility of feeding these nerds. Lastly, the two armor stands by the door are supposed to be their coat racks, they're neglected since they tend to just throw their clothes onto the floor to change into pjs because they're SO tired. They pick up after themselves in the morning tho dw..

And this concludes part 2!! :)
