wemmbu pride drabbles day 2

requested by @/cloneximio-877 (not tagging because idk if they want to be tagged or not) for the evil wemmfies yuri oh my god yippee ^_^ ^_^

wemmbu took another swing at the air. she... she needed to be stronger, to be better. she couldn't live up to mane's standards, she couldn't be anything useful to "team friendship"- she couldn't kill clown or ash-, she couldn't fight off jaden and the pirates, she.. she couldn't protect rejoice.. or wifies.

she swung her axe into an arc, though pulling a muscle in her shoulder on the way down. the diamond avoided her armor and cut through her skin. okay, that's fine. wifi- an old friend had taught her some basic first-aid. she's fine.

still, wemmbu couldn't help the way she stumbled back from the shock. she shoved her axe into the dirt below her and took off her chestplate to check the wound, carefully checking the area around her for anybody. the results were positive, as there wasn't anybody. at least, that's what she thought.

her blood had already begun gushing out. great. she'd have to get to a more safer place immediately to properly take care of it.

suddenly, a set of hands- strangely familiar- met her waist from behind. "let me," the person said. before wemmbu could thrash out of their hold, her vision spotted and she went limp in their arms.

...

when wemmbu woke up- most likely hours later, which wasn't good-, she was met with a stoney ceiling and dim lighting. it was not day anymore- she could tell. or maybe her captor had a really good way of blocking out the light in a cave.

"you're awake." a voice sounded beside her, smooth and honey-sweet. a hand ran over her forehead to check her temperature and then through her hair. "you have a fever- you've been pushing yourself, dear.."

dear? why.. was that so familiar...?

they seemed to be amused by wemmbu's reaction- which she personally thought there to be a lack of. "you're so cute when you're thinking.."

"who- who are you-?" she asked, attempting to sit up. the anonymous person's hand dropped to her chest, pushing her back down. which, makes sense- wemmbu already felt her head spinning just from that small movement.

they hummed disapprovingly, clicking their tongue. "no, no, no.." they chastised with a sigh. "you're weak right now, dear.. you have to rest."

"who are you..?" wemmbu asked again, more determined to get her answer. the person was so.. delicate, familiar. their other hand gently held her own, thumbing the callouses on her knuckles. no one has treated her like.. like this. not for a while now.

they just laughed and, out of the corner of her eye, wemmbu could spot the shadow of horns.

"you needn't worry, dear.." they said, hand returning to her cheek. "just rest. no more thinking, no more fighting, just... be."

wemmbu felt her eyes slipping shut. "b-.. but.." her caretaker cuts her off. "sh sh shh.. no more."

they smile as wemmbu finally loses consciousness again. "that's it.." they murmur with a sigh, watching her muscles loosen in her sleep. "you've not changed since the you lost me.."
