If one were to count to a million, one number per second, it would take, 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds, that is if you continuously count all 11 and half days without rest.
If one were to count to a billion, one number per second, it would take 31.7 years, if you were to count 24 hours a day. Yet if you were undertaking this youād need to sleep occasionally. If you were to count 16 hours a day, leaving room to sleep, it would take you roughly 48 years.
Thereās a thousand millions in a billion, a million millions in a trillion, a thousand billions in a trillion.
There was a point in time where both Bezzos and musk net worth was nearly a trillion dollars. If they wanted to count just one billion of those dollars by hand it would take them 48 years to accomplish.
Elon musk makes $8 million a day from government subsidies, this is prior to him eliminating any competitors from the inside with doge. The average senior, who busted their butts for 50 years paying into their social security, Medicare, state and federal taxes, makes $65 a day.
The absurdity of it all is staggering. That these men who found their niche in business, bezzos with an online bookstore, right as the internet was taking off, and musk whoās father exploited black South Africans in his jewel mines, gave Elon the capital to invest in PayPal, to which he sold, bought an existing electric car company, used the carbon credits, and federal incentives, to make hundreds of billions of dollars, both pay the bare minimum in taxes, with Tesla paying nothing 3 out of the last 5 years. You and I, people who sometimes have to scrounge change to put gas in the tank, who struggle to pay for housing, groceries, insurance, try to enjoy life, we pay almost 40% of our income to taxes, social security and Medicare/medicaid.
How the f*ck is that acceptable!? Let alone celebrated?! You think these ultra rich know what itās like to have to make decisions on whether hey can afford lunch or if that needs to go into the gas tank to get to work to pay to live?! WTF?!
Greed, selfishness, arrogance, these are the fuel that feeds the fire that leaves the middle class stuck, struggling and frustrated. But they have convinced so many that itās the political opposition that is the cause of their inability to get ahead, or immigrants, of people of color, or trans people, gay people, stoking division to continue hoarding wealth like some sick addiction.
Thereās not an infinite amount of capital in the U.S. economy. Thereās only X amount. If these greedy robber barons stockpile the majority of it, that leaves a minuscule amount for the rest.
24 hours a day counting one number per second, it would take 32 years to count 1/200 of Bezzos and muskās fortune.
TAX THE RICH!!!!

I've been trying not to ask for anything, but I'm falling behind again and starting to panic. It's really hard to show that I have overdue bills without doxxing myself as well. I have enough money for the mortgage and my car payment thank gods. But that will also take every penny I have. We just had to have the car serviced because I spend about 10 hours every week driving for work. And my partner had to give them two whole paychecks as a down payment and now can't give me anything for the bills. [That bill is $1000 but it's on a payment plan.]
In the next few days we'll also get bills for -
Electricity - about $200 Garbage pickup - about $87 Car insurance - $157
Anything helps ;_;
And if you're just as poor as I am - please reblog at least.
I have a Ko-fi for tips - https://ko-fi.com/followmeontumblr
And lots of things for sale - https://www.etsy.com/shop/PatchworkLaboratory
And a paypal account attached to this old email - [email protected]
The one really big bill is the one I'm crying over because they can and will take legal action if we don't pay them.

Hey I really need help I'm still having trouble getting a job and I need around $200 for my electric bill by the 15th of June. We are on a payment plan so if we miss a payment they will shut our lights off and that is not an option we live in the desert of Southern California and we have animals and my elderly sick father in law lives here who uses a breathing machine. If the power goes off he will die and we all might die. I also need $160 by the end of June (this month) for a debt payment I'm on. We have no food at all but my bills are more important but I also really want to eat I'm so hungry. If you want something in exchange I will give it. Literally anything you want. Nudes? A drawing? A picture of my animals? Anything you can think of!! I'll do anything anything at all I dont want to die in the SoCal summer heat.
Cashapp: $NannyLane
Venmo: @mewonacott

2,977 civilians died tragically in 9/11, 343 being firefighters.
Since then it has been āNever forget.ā for over 20 years, the US attacked and destabilized an innocent country, and white ppl have further pushed the narrative that Muslims and Middle Easterners are all āevil terroristsā.
Now, in less than 6 months the OFFICIAL death toll in Gaza exceeds 30,000, half being CHILDREN. At least 200 doctors have died and many were TARGETED by IOF soldiers. I have seen children dismembered, maimed, sniped, run over, crushed, starved, scalped, exploded, burned, and strung up on the side of a building.
I have seen men, women, and children desperately digging through the rubble to find their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, friends, lovers etc.
I have seen brave doctors run outside to save injured civilians while at extremely high risk of being shot by snipers.
I have seen a father carrying BAGS full of his childrenās remains.
I have seen a young girl, no more than 9, with a leg, an arm, and a hand blown off while her scalp hangs from her skull.
I have seen doctors speak out against the cruelty and ethnic cleansing while surrounded by the bodies of those they tried to save.
I have seen hundreds of pictures of NICU babies who were going to die soon because the hospital was about to run out of electricity.
I have read the first hand story of a father who traded one of his children for one of his brotherās children so that if one group dies at least one of their children would make it.
I have read posts from lgbt+ KIDS talking about how they regret not kissing their crush because they just watched them DIE.
I have seen the public posts of IDF and IOF soldiers where they show off the underwear and lingerie they looted from the drawers of the Gazans they are massacring.
I have listened to the screams of mothers after hearing their child is dead.
I have watched a teen boyās gaze harden into something cold and empty after his entire family died in front of him, leaving him completely alone.
I have seen an IOF soldier throw a father and his baby into a giant wood burning oven just for fun.
I have seen many children with shell-shock, shaking because their minds and bodies canāt comprehend the horrors they have experienced.
I have seen tanks run over women actively giving birth on the roads of Gaza.
I have watched oldest siblings, no more than 11, take on the responsibility of keeping their younger siblings safe. I cannot comprehend how incredibly stressful that must be.
A little 6yo girl was trapped for 2 weeks in a car surrounded by the dead bodies of her family as they rotted.
This is all done with American tax dollars while companies like McDonalds give free food to Israeli soldiers. We are quite literally paying for this. 20% of your work and hard earned money is paying for the genocide of innocent people in Palestine.
This is NOT a political issue. This is a human rights issue.

So I know I am privileged fuck. I have a roof over my head. But I also have bills that keep getting more expensive. My rent has been increased, again. This year alone my monthly expenses have grown by 200 euros, just for bills such as rent, health insurance, electricity, etc. And my income has not changed. I am doing my best to keep up with bills but I am drowning. I have canceled every last 'fun' thing I have in order to save money and I just can't make it work. The month has just started and I have 19,50. And about 300 euros in bills that I cannot pay.
I hate doing this. But I also don't really know what else to do. If there's any way that anyone can help...
paypal.me/Annejoke
That's my paypal. If you can't, I understand. If you don't want to, I understand. If you judge me, I judge me too.
If you need to see proof I can DM it to you. This is embarrassing enough as it is.
And if there's anything I can do in return I am more than happy to do it.

Emergency commissions! Need to reach a goal of $200. Ideally $300 Mom's social security check is so piddly it left her with nothing. Same with her healthy food card. She needs my help paying for the electricity bill (was $163 but has increased to $224) or its gonna be cut off in a few days. We also need food as my city keeps getting hit with polar vortexes and this is an old ass building with seriously goofy heating. I'm pretty much her caretaker and I have long covid myself so. It's really not easy rn. Headshots are still $25, ā Halfbody is $75, 5 slots available Character sheets are usually $150 but out of desperation, I'm dropping it to $125 and limiting them to three slots. Get two and its 100. All three for $300 If interested, email me [email protected] Or contact me on discord: Kingsevil (#0571) You can DM me here too! It just might get migrated to email or Discord for easier image exchange and communication

CAN'T CATCH A BREAK! URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR BILLS (9/19/24)
https://gofund.me/1b47f5b0
Obligatory "Help a fat (hopefully) temporarily disabled queer black person stay housed". Not only have I lost like at least 100+ hours of work due to my declining health, but my roommate lost his job earlier this month, so we're SEVERELY behind on bills and the like.
To break down why we need so much: Our rent is 1110, our car payments are around 600 combined, I've got 300 in a personal loan to repay (August was also rough and I didn't get enough donations from my last post, so I had to go to drastic measures), 200 in pay-later payments. Our electric bill is regularly around 300, my phone payment is a little under 100, and the same goes for our internet. Anything additional we get will be for food, gas, and hopefully having a small cushion for next month while my roommate seeks employment & I hopefully become able to leave my house.
If you can, retweet from my twitter too? https://x.com/churchofgears/status/1836889695021654420
If GoFundMe isn't something you can do, my alternate payment methods are as follows: paypal @ basiligo ca$happ @ jlcdmr venmo @ cezedones

Realities Of RV Living
I feel this needs to be discussed as sadly it may become more of an option for many people as the cost of living increases. I want to provide a realistic look into this life. Unless you are well off with a luxury RV, what you typically see on social media is not even close to reality.
Traveling and Long Term RV Parks
Ask about rates monthly and compare multiple parks. Make sure to ask if the rate is the same all year long. Also, ask if utilities are included. You can save a lot of money by not having to pay electricity. Some parks don't have one of the main hookups, so make sure eletricity, water and septic are all available.
This is only good when you have a new properly functioning RV. When you live in something older and in bad shape, it means a broken part, packing up your entire life, and finding a new park friendly to long-term stay. I've moved 3 times in 2 and a half years.
The first RV park was $750 a month plus electricity ($100 in summer $200 in winter) and had multiple times were we were without power or had no use of our septic. Many of the times without power it was single digits or in the negatives. We got 120 inches of snow and had to make a homemade rv skirt of a tarp and pack the snow like an igloo around the rv to stay warm.
The second RV park was $350 plus electricity ($150 summer). This park was more affordable but had a lot more issues. Our neighbor had frequent septic issues and we often had it leak onto our rv space. We also were next to the septic for the whole park. So basically the smell of shit was ever present. It got to 110 F here and we basically ran the AC until it broke as heat exhaustion always felt right around the corner.
Third park arguably the nicest park is $550 utilities included only catch is $1200 a month in summer months. (No I don't live in a high value area either most of the town and houses are literally abandoned). It's a franchise park and the owner isn't even supposed to offer long term but deals with it for the insane price he gets in summer. I haven't had issues with electricity or other people's sewage here. Basically one good employment place here and my fiancƩ gets retirement, so that made it worth the move.
Extreme cold
Frozen septic and frozen water lines are a huge and common issue, especially in older, less insulated models. You can put insulation around the pipes and drip water all you want its going to happen if it's cold enough. So get comfortable with the idea of taking warm buckets of water and a rag to your septic pipe and pouring warm water down into your septic. A smell you will never forget ā¤ļø.
Insulating the rv is very important from being almost 3 years in. Here's the best way to avoid hypothermia. Get R-tech insulation board and stuff it into your windows then cover it up with a blanket. Put this behind your pillows as well so heat can stay in the bed area. Find pre-owned carpets and cut them to fit in your rv so the floor remains warmer. Get socks or cozy slippers to wear most of winter. Your floor will most likely never be a comfortable warm and you may be at risk of hypothermia depending on tempature. Dress in layers put on two pants a shirt and a sweater and socks and slippers. If you need to gloves and a hat as well. Put a blanket over your door. Making a rv skirt out of a tarp and super gluing velcro to the tarp and rv can be useful. Use concrete blocks to hold down the ends. Depending on wind speed this can be hard to keep in place though.
As much as this may sound like a joke it's currently saving me. Xbox 360 consoles make ALOT of heat if you run a DVD that replays itself in the background all night it will warm your sleeping area. If I die I will fade out to the Do The Mario theme song I guess .
Extreme Heat
Just pump up your AC and have alot of ice packs and cold water. This is going to suck and may kill your AC. The smell oh god the smell will make you want to die. Your septic will boil in the heat and make BAD soup. Less things will break on your RV than extreme cold.
Mail
If your RV park doesn't allow you to get mail at the park its going to suck ass. PO Boxes are the most annoying things on earth. UPS and certain FedEx mail will not deliver to them. Most companies will not ship to them. Even if they say they do. You will often get packages shipped all the way to your post office only for them to be rejected and sent back to the seller. The crapiness is exemplified if you live in a very rural area like I do. Just ship to a family member and pay them to ship it to you in a USPS box only!
RV Common Issues
Too high of water pressure
Get a pressure gage/regulator a park with to high of pressure can cause your lines to burst
Electricity Surges
Get a surge protector a bad surge with no protector can permanently fry your eletricial system. The protector saved me on a bad surge that literally set my plug on fire š„.
Eletricity Constriants
Older 30 amps don't have much power. Depending on the appliances you may have to choose to use one at a time. Want to use the heater and your Ninja to cook? Well, enjoy tripping your breaker. In fact just get comfortable with your breaker you'll be spending alot of time with it as you figure out what appliances aren't friends.
Septic
You will spend way to much time with your septic. Whether it be unfreezing, unclogging, general emptying or trying to find a product that doesn't harm it but keeps the smell down during hot summers. Get Scott thousand ply tiolet paper or just cheap thin tiolet paper. It's very similar to the rv specific tiolet paper and way less money.
Water
Pex pipes are cool and easy to repair replace your lines with them. With cold your water lines of course have the chance to freeze or burst. Keep them insulated and use the warm water wash cloth method to unfreeze. Just make sure not to leave wash cloths on the pipes for to long or they will also freeze.
Propane
Please please please check your models history with propane if you plan on using it. Some were built with manufacturing issues that cause them to blow up. There's not many left of my model due to this. It also means I have no central heating or use of the oven.
Laundry
If your park has a laundry mat awesome but this not usually the case. Locate your nearest laundry mat and take that into consideration when looking for a park.

Garou, punishment, and penalties
One of the things that has surprised and outraged a lot of readers about the end of the Monster Association arc in the manga has been Garou's apparent rehabilitation. Exile? No! The Hero Association has let him go, he's gotten fined for dining-and-dashing, has to say sorry to the heroes he beat up, and do some community service. To their minds, Garou is 'getting away with it', and it feels most unjust. Not to mention that there's a sense of frustrated closure.
So, is Garou getting off lightly?
Well, we can't begin to answer this question without some clarity in what we're discussing. There are two related but very different issues here and we need to disambiguate them.
Punishment
I know that this is a word that is very triggering to some people, but there's nothing for it. I'm sorry about that but I need this word. I'm talking about punishment in its most technical Skinnerian sense. Now Skinner boxes are rather narrow places but they're very useful.
Punishment in the most strict behaviourist sense of the term means nothing more than some contingency that decreases the likelihood of a behaviour being repeated [1]. It says nothing about it being pleasant or unpleasant and something is only a punisher if the individual is less likely to do whatever led to that outcome again.
Punishment is all around us. It's not necessarily linked with INTENTIONALITY. For example, if you neglect to check the weather forecast, walk out without a coat and umbrella, and end up miserable and wet, you're less likely to do so again. Was the rain out to punish you? Of course not! You perceived going out without checking the weather forecast and so knowing whether to take a coat and umbrella to have led to an unacceptable outcome, and so you check before you leave.
We thus come to a key point: what constitutes a punishing experience is necessarily individual and context-dependent. There are some experiences that are almost universally seen as intolerable and to be avoided : for example, the proportion of people who will knowingly pee on an electric fence is small indeed. But take an opportunity to work part of a weekend for a modest sum, say $200, at the cost of social time. For a person to whom this money is helpful, it's rewarding, and forgoing time with friends is a price worth paying. For a person to whom it doesn't make much difference, doing that work would be punishing in itself, and losing the opportunity to socialise would be doubly punishing.
Interestingly, what Garou considered reinforcing vs. punishing is nearly counter-intuitive to observe. He relished the challenge. Heck, being beaten up meant that there was something that he had yet to learn and overcome -- which was powerfully reinforcing to him. Even though, in the moment, he could feel fear, frustration, anger, pain, and tiredness, the reward of learning, overcoming, and growing stronger was worth every inch of risk.
...yes, in the end he took it to grotesque and cruel levels
On the other hand, the idea of hitting someone who wouldn't or couldn't fight back was profoundly punishing to Garou. It made him feel like a bully, which was something he never wanted to feel like, and he sought to avoid it.
Even before his run-in with Darkshine, hitting someone defenceless made him feel ill.
Punishment is in the eyes of the beholder. A world without punishment is a world without preference.
Penalty
There are many related definitions of penalty. Let's go with this one for its relative comprehensiveness: "the suffering in person, rights, or property that is annexed by law or judicial decision to the commission of a crime or public offense." [2]
Unlike punishment, penalty is a social construct. There is ALWAYS INTENTIONALITY. You can punish yourself but you cannot penalise yourself: someone has to impose it as a result of your breaking some agreed-on set of rules.
Penalty is an essential part of a functional social group. Even if you call it other names, it springs up spontaneously and the only question is in how well it is managed. For example, say in an online club, one member says something that another member finds insensitive, and the latter calls the former out on it. If the offender pays the appropriate social penalty of acknowledging the hurt they caused and apologising right away, it's quickly water under the bridge and peace is restored. If they don't repeat the offence, the social bond of the club is strengthened, as it affirms that 'hey, this is not a place where we tolerate rudeness to each other.' On the other hand, let the offender deny that they caused harm and even double down, and, unless some stronger penalty is applied by the group, the club can quickly find itself in trouble.
The reason these two ideas are often conflated is that the major intention of penalty is to punish. In a perfect world, penalty and punishment would overlap. That they frequently don't is the subject of many, many studies and books, keeps therapists in business, and nurtures many a scholar through their entire lives. Whether in being so light that it's a cost of doing business (like a $5 penalty ticket for a $20 regular ticket), or so heavy that it's destructive to the offender and is more intended to scare others than to help, or is inappropriate to the offense, or is lop-sidedly applied, or is more a way of excluding a 'weird' person than in restoring any sense of justice, you name it, there's myriad ways in which it goes awry. And yet, it exists. It cannot help but exist in a social world, and it is necessary.
So, armed with these two concepts, let's break the question of whether Garou has gotten away lightly into two components.
Question 1: Has Garou been appropriately punished?
Remember, it is behaviour that is punished. So, has Garou's behaviour changed? Partially!
He has absolutely no interest whatsoever in becoming a monster. Doesn't even think of monsters positively any longer.
The ghost of his future self has come back to tell him to desist from his aim of gaining ultimate power, so that aspect of his behaviour has been effectively punished.
So too have his hero-hunting activities. He isn't hunting heroes any longer, and if he wants to gain skills from matching his strengths against theirs, he intends to ask for a spar, like a decent person.
Ah, many 'screw story, just show me cool fights' fans are drooling over this prospect.
However, he still thinks he's right. He has not renounced the idea of becoming an indomitable force who can impose peace. And that could be trouble.
Question 2: Has Garou been appropriately penalised?
Again, the answer is mixed. Legally, yes. He has been ordered to make the restauranteur he robbed whole. He's been remanded into the care of Bang, who is overseeing his court-ordered work programme -- remember, even though he's eighteen, in this world, he's still a minor. He has (or is in the process of) apologised to the heroes he beat up.
Pragmatically, it makes sense. There isn't a prison that can hold him if he wants out. While going around beating up heroes was an inexcusably shitty thing to do, there are mitigating circumstances to be considered, and he doesn't have a long criminal record, plus he is young. Having him under the care of someone he respects -- and who is strong enough to *make* him stop if need be -- and having him directly apologise to or make whole those he wronged is the least risky way to deal with penalising a scarily overpowered individual.
Are there people who would like to have seen greater penalties imposed on Garou? Hell yeah, you'd better believe it. But they're not going to get it. They'll have to make their peace with it. Yes, Bang advocating for him has meant that Garou hasn't been sanctioned anywhere near as harshly as he might be. But it's also true that Bang advising him is why he's not a fugitive from justice and is actively looking to right his wrongs, however partial that might be.
Where there's going to be hell to pay is if Bang enacts his plan of introducing Garou to the HA as his replacement. The HA *will totally take Garou* -- as Sicchi says, they can't afford not to. But boy, oh boy, will there be trouble.
So after all that talk, what am I concluding? Yes, he is getting off a bit lightly but we have to start somewhere. It's a real credit to Garou that he's been willing to engage with the process of reforming himself.

[...] I will shortly be declaring a National Emergency on Electricity within the threatened area. This will allow the U.S to quickly do what has to be done to alleviate this abusive threat from Canada. If other egregious, long time Tariffs are not likewise dropped by Canada, I will substantially increase, on April 2nd, the Tariffs on Cars coming into the U.S. which will, essentially, permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada. Those cars can easily be made in the USA! Also, Canada pays very little for National Security, relying on the United States for military protection. We are subsidizing Canada to the tune of more than 200 Billion Dollars a year. WHY??? This cannot continue. The only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State. This would make all Tariffs, and everything else, totally disappear. Canadiansā taxes will be very substantially reduced, they will be more secure, militarily and otherwise, than ever before, there would no longer be a Northern Border problem, and the greatest and most powerful nation in the World will be bigger, better and stronger than ever ā And Canada will be a big part of that. The artificial line of separation drawn many years ago will finally disappear, and we will have the safest and most beautiful Nation anywhere in the World ā And your brilliant anthem, āO Canada,ā will continue to play, but now representing a GREAT and POWERFUL STATE within the greatest Nation that the World has ever seen!

Apparently, casually threatening annexation on social media is just how trade disputes go now. Love 2025.
