this sentiment i've seen a lot is an interesting thought but it never actually clicked with me all that much for some reason, and i wasnt sure why or how to put it into words until somewhat recently.

like, i guess i think about it in similar terms to kris's relationship with susie; i think it's unfair to say that kris and susie aren't really friends or something just because that person is 'not kris.' at least by this point, they clearly enjoy being around each other, it's a two-way street. kris is still there, and is always there... on a normal route. that's when our role (so far) amounts to merely 'opening up opportunities' for kris, i.e. giving them a reason to go on Epic Adventures (with the goal of closing dark fountains) all while winning battles with the Power Of Friendship, etc.

sure, we control their specific movements, which will always feel limiting to them (which leads into my assumption that no matter what we do, kris will always hold some level of resentment towards us -- no matter how luxurious the prison cell is, you will always be trapped).

all of this is my long-winded way of explaining that when the two work in harmony, the boundary between kris and the player becomes less distinct. that's why the separation between the two didn't feel as important in chapter 1, where there wasn't really an opportunity for things to go 'wrong,' so to speak. so if we follow the path of least resistance -- how the story 'should' go -- then i think it's fair to say that at least SO FAR, kris is still there, working with us when they have to, not shutting anything out in particular, becoming real friends with susie, and reconnecting with noelle.

the time they spent together in cyber city wasn't 'fake' -- kris is still there, emoting, our voice going through their mouth, they're having fun with noelle (i always think of kris saying "Nooooo" when noelle asks if they need a dog treat, they had no reason to actually howl like that, i swear to god they're just enjoying being a little goofy like old times)

(there's also plenty of other examples of our prompts (presumably) coming out of kris's own mouth in their own voice, they're just in control of HOW it comes out, i.e. yelling "NO" or barely muttering "yes" after spamton neo. but this post aint about that so im moving on)

all of this is the normal route, of course. i dont think i need to explain how much this differs in the weird route, lol. we force kris down a path they Very Much Most Likely Don't Particularly Want to Go Down, but we make them. they dont want to say Proceed, but they have to, which is when that voice comes out as US, not them. from the soul or something, probably, a voice beaming commands into noelle's mind regardless of whether or not kris actually says anything out loud, hence noelle still hearing us even when kris is down in battle.

this disharmony is what manifests as friction between kris and the player, and while we dont Really know what all is happening inside kris's head, i sort of always imagined it as kris closing off/almost going dormant, as some form of protest maybe, maybe to at least communicate to noelle -- the only one who can see something's wrong, not just different -- that this isn't them, it's something else. kris wouldn't do this, and she knows this. that's why when it's all over and berdly has been ice'd, all we know is that they "look kinda..." out of it, distraught, barely there, maybe. i heart dissociation and all that

basically, the split between kris and the player (in my own probably-not-end-all-be-all-correct interpretation of the story thus far) becomes more rigid only when our interests conflict, and the more we work together, the less reason kris has to dissociate, for lack of a better term, and the 'kris' that susie comes to know and noelle comes to reconnect with isn't exactly the wrong 'kris' at all. sure, they're being controlled but that doesn't mean they aren't still THERE.

and if the story continues down along the path of us micro-managing everyone's goals into fruition (noelle getting close to susie comes to mind), kris will still work against us in some ways no matter what we do, but finding some kind of 'happier path/ending' is probably far closer to what they want rather than Manipulating Their Childhood Friend into Killing Their Classmate. just a hunch

anyway the TLDR is i don't really know if the initial question will end up being a problem in the same way that everyone thinks it will, on a normal route. sure, they'll all be shocked and maybe horrified to find out kris is being controlled and whatnot, but that doesn't make the time they spent together any less real, because despite it all, kris was still there.

a toppling fire cracker of a girl, or so i’m told, i’m one of the rambunctious gryffindors that barrel down the marble hallways of hogwarts castle. i bunk with seven other girls, one of whom is my best friend — mary macdonald. along with the charming ravenclaw — emmeline vance — and a snark of a hufflepuff — hestia jones — the four of us can be found in various locations around the school campus; passed out in a heap on the softest patch of grass near the black lake , shooting pine cones over the whomping willow and keeping score of who gets the most over without the tree smacking them away , secluded in the third booth on the second floor of the library . our quills drying out while we distractedly ignore our transfiguration homework in favour of finding the right spell to conceal our carved names on the bottom of the booth’s oakwood table (the result of emmeline sneaking alcoholic butterbeer into the school, and a series of bad decisions later, we’d all drunkenly vandalised the furniture.. thankfully mcgonagall doesn’t know or i might lose my prefect badge)

and so regulus chooses to not feel anything, reserve all emotions to be shared with a few select friends — evan and barty had a way about them, his laughter was not something he could hold back in their presence . dorcas founded a semblance of solitude even though the space was shared, as if their silence was a mutual understanding, a shorthand of sorts . pandora had the gift of gracing their group with his smile, he considered it a curse that she had such a superpower, to bring out these genuine joys in other people, but he knew she wouldn’t see it that way — those were his people

not his brother . who he shifted his eyes to look away from whenever they passed each other .. only to turn back and glance over his shoulder, observing the elder son’s movements, wishing he’d turn back too, and then hurriedly clenching his fist, squashing the thought before it even had the chance to breathe

not his parents . who stood tall yet hollow, ghosts of who they were before their family was “torn apart” according to them, holding metaphorical goal posts only to keep moving them higher and higher every time regulus attempted to score, before tutting as he slipped and fell, unable to maintain the impossible altitude of their expectations

no. his people were his friends, the people who could mellow out his misgivings, erode his stone walls

and yet, those stone walls remain intact, erosion takes time.

unless of course someone me shattered the very structure of his world view, erupting his life into firework flurries of emotions, clandestine nights, musty sunrises drenched in dew drops and fog, leaving a wafting air about the world, scented jasmine and blackberry, amber gold flecks embedded inside twin irises . the kind of beauty that haunts his dreams and burns fire in his heart

it’s funny, when i look back at it. because i suppose we always knew the other existed, but i only really met him when i was 13..

whatever classes we shared before, whatever moments were missed where we walked past each other through hallways or on moving staircases, those never really registered.

i just remember the cold, the prickly sensation of snow on my bare fingertips, crunching under my feet, glittering from the shy slithers of sunlight that flitted through the bleak grey sky. the constant dinging bells, the sound of students exploring all that hogsmeade had to offer, and yet there we stood, facing each other in an alley between shops, frowning in a way that would become all too familiar in the years to come

for what it’s worth, it’s easy to dislike the guy — almost always beating me by a few marks, his facial expression was more than enough of a gloat in itself . creating nicknames for whatever trick i use in a quidditch match and always coming up with a counter move (he can’t ever let me win. personally speaking, of course, i win plenty of matches) . it’s always something with him, and whatever quick bursts of emotion i bring out are hurriedly buried under a blank expression and a tired, almost uninterested visage that boils my blood in a way i cannot possibly describe . and yet i find myself thinking about it, about him, in the ungodly hours of the night.. only to get back at him of course

and it isn’t as if i can speak for him, for the longest time i had no clue what he’d be thinking no matter how long i stared, trying to decipher his thoughts.. but i’d be an idiot to have not noticed a change — the way he would walk through life with a strive to prove himself and yet constantly controlling how much of that ambition he could show.. living each day almost half present, half minded, elsewhere entirely, focused on a far reaching future as if it was right around the corner

he wasn’t like that anymore, he seemed to flourish, to spark, to appear alive . but only when teetering on the tightrope of an improbable partnership, an impossible romance, a strange little love story written between the aged cushions of an abandoned couch, in a hidden lounge, behind an old potions classroom — we found it together . or, more so, we argued and raced to unlock the door first, but regardless, it was our space . a space in which the kindling fire of an unlikely friendship would blossom into something greater than i could ever hope for

and when the mysteries within the castle walls start to crack through, when the secrets between the students stir the cauldron of rumours, and the history of influential families begins to pull itself up from the grave .. i guess it’s not so surprising to admit, but someone as curious as me, paired with someone as persistent as regulus? it’s no big shock that we find ourselves in the middle of such a storm

Snow Moon - February 2025

Boots and mittens on, witches - it’s time for the Snow Moon!

Snow Moon

The Snow Moon is the name given to the full moon which occurs during the month of February. Despite what certain groundhogs will tell you, February is the month that sees the highest rates of snowfall across much of North America, according to the National Weather Service, and many alternative names for the moon and the month in which it falls reflect this.

As with many full moon names, we find the roots of the Snow Moon among the indigenous peoples of North America. In this particular case, a colonist explorer noted in 1760 that the Naudowessie (Dakota) people called this month Snow Moon specifically due to the tendency for snowstorms to come during that month. Some other indigenous names for this moon and month refer to commonly-sighted animals. Some examples include Eagle Moon (Cree), Bear Moon (Ojibwe), Groundhog Moon (Algonquin), and Goose Moon (Haida). Another notable example is Hungry Moon (Cherokee), denoting the scarcity of available food in deep winter.

The moon will be at peak illumination at 8:53am EST on Wednesday, February 12th. It will be below the horizon at this time, meaning the moon may appear to be full on the 11th and the 12th, depending on where you live. It should be highest in the sky around midnight EST on the 12th - the perfect time for magic!

What Does It Mean For Witches?

February is a month of change and transition. Though winter still holds on, many places may be showing early signs of spring. Little buds may be coming out on the trees, certain species of birds are beginning to migrate back, and hibernating animals start to wake up and reappear.

As we begin to turn toward the end of our long winter’s rest, it’s a good time to think about how we prepare for oncoming change and how we care for ourselves and our practices during times of stagnation.

We might also contemplate the concept of distance and stasis as it relates to our practices, be it keeping long-distance bonds fresh, doing things remotely either alone or as part of a larger group, or feeling distant from your craft or your deities. And yes, such things are normal and cyclical. Our inspiration and motivation wax and wane just as the moon does. If it feels like you’ve been far away from your craft for too long, perhaps it’s time to bring it back into your orbit.

What Witchy Things Can We Do?

Gather fresh snow or icicles for moon water, or make your own moon ice by leaving a bowl of water out overnight to freeze, if the temperature drops low enough.

If it snows in your area, you can wish upon a snowball. Grab a handful of powdery snow, whisper your wish to it, and throw the whole thing up in the air to release the wish into the universe

With winter scarcity in mind, practice creating a minimalist spell as an exercise. Create a workable spell with as few components, words, movements, or ritual elements as possible. This is more of a challenge if you’re used to using material components or rituals in your spellwork. Many witches cast spells with focused thought or energy work alone.

You can also try creating a spell with only components and materials that you already have on hand. Explore your home and see how many items you can identify a magical purpose for and brainstorm different ways they could be used in your craft.

Explore the concept of self care as magic. Use your routines to create moments of rest and harmony, make a point of being kind to your body and your mind, and cultivate a more positive relationship with yourself - it’s the only one guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Connect with your local biome by looking for any early signs of spring in your area. Feed the returning birds and identify the plant and animal species you see around you as they appear one by one.

Friendship Synastry 🌹🌴

CATEGORIES

Typeface—an artistic rendering or design of a set of glyphs. Used to be only one style, now usually refers to a type family.

Font—The medium containing an iteration of a typeface. For metal type, this would be the set of glyphs for a single size typeface (as designs varied by size to create optical harmony from one size to another). Whereas for digital type it refers to the actual font file. So if the file contains a whole family, then “typeface” and “font” become interchangeable. But if there’s only one style per file, then each one is a font but the collection of font files comprises the typeface.

Family—a collection of related typefaces with the same core traits and name. (Usually consists of regular, bold, italic.)

Regular—also called roman in text types, the base style (most significantly in terms of weight and width) of a type family.

Bold—a heavier (thicker) weight than regular, used to emphasize text in contrast to regular type.

Light—a lighter (thinner) weight than regular.

Weight—a gauge of the thickness of the strokes in a typeface.

Italic—a style of type based on chancery hand calligraphy developed in Italy. Initially used on its own (beginning around 1500), it was not used for emphasis in contrast to roman type on the same page until much later.

this is my first astro observations post, so please be kind!

⟡ this might have been stated before, but the degree your sun sign is at could be the age at which you start to connect with it or the traits associated with it

for example, i have sagittarius sun at 19°. at nineteen years old, i went away from home on my own for the first time (travel). i also expanded my learning by going to college, and i delved deeper into spirituality.

⟡ taurus rules over the ears and second house, so it’s only natural placements relating to it could explain our hearing! your second house sign could explain how or why you like to listen to music.

i have virgo in the 2H and noticed that i like to listen to music with headphones because i can hear the intricacies of the instruments and harmonies better. cancer 2H — likes listening to music that coincides with their emotions. might be more reserved when sharing their music tastes scorpio 2H — could listen to indie/underground music. might like to listen to songs on low volume. the type to eavesdrop of conversations while listening. aries 2H — prefers listening to their music over a speaker. the type to have a workout or hype playlist.

⟡ the planet right before your sun sign is called your guiding planet. this planet could explain what’s important to you in life or what “guides” you as a person.

i have pluto as my guiding planet and have always been fascinated by the idea of transformations. i look to transform myself regularly whether it’s through looks or even spiritually! i’m always searching for ways to become a better version of myself through this. i may do a longer post explaining the effects of one’s guiding planet 👀

⟡ this isn’t inherently astrology related, but for every person i’ve asked - their favorite number and the number of letters they have in their name tends to line up

my favorite number is 3 — i have only 3 letters in my first and middle name person two’s favorite number is 4 — their name has only 4 letters person three’s favorite number is 16 - their first and last name adds up to 16 i’ve also discovered that this number tends to somewhat align with one’s north node or explain one’s life purpose or where in life you need to learn to deal with something. again, my favorite number is 3, but my north node is in gemini in the 11H. the 3H deals with communication and according to my north node, i’m supposed to learn how to use my voice to both stand out in my uniqueness but also conform with society in order to speak for the collective.

⟡ the twelfth house governs what’s hidden - like emotions and beings without a physical form, so the sign in your twelfth house could explain how easy or difficult it is for you to pick up on energies.

i have cancer in my 12H along with jupiter, so it’s very easy for me to pick up on different energies; in fact, sometimes i attract different energies to my own without even knowing about it! leo 12H — you may be more confident in when you pick up energies, so in a way it could be easier for you, but in a different way than for water signs. different energies may find it easy to speak with you or be around you pisces 12H - this sign might find it the easiest ot pick up on different energies because it’s at home! you may pass your own energy onto others without knowing it. people may want to feed off your energy because of how intoxicating it might be - this could extend to scoprio 12H too sagittarius 12H - you might have to actively search out energies when it comes to pick up on them, or maybe you just like to. they don’t really come to you naturally like with pisces.

think about it! yang jeongin from stray kids, hobi from bts, megan thee stallion, and j.cole. both jeongin and hobi have smiles that show throughout their whole face. megan thee stallion has had people talk about her smile all the time - it’s wide and stands out. j. cole literally has a song named “crooked smile” and although his smile doesn’t fit the societal standard of what considered “nice” it’s still unique to him.

⟡ arabic lots are so much more than just your part of fortune

there’s actually a whole list of lots that can be calculated through various combinations. i think i’ll do a post on this later on, but some of the most interesting lots i saw were: Anareta I and II - Taker of Life, Ancestors, Expected Birth, Boys (Sons), Girls (Daughters), Fortune in Husbandry, Influence, Karma, Lawsuits again, there’s a ton more, but i don’t think they’re talked about much (at least not on here), so i’d like to learn more about them!

⟡ the third house deals with transportation, so the sign in your third house could represent how you are when traveling

i have libra in the 3H, and i tend to be laid back when it comes to the actual process of traveling. i wear hoodies and sweats, and i’m very low maintenance when going on a road trip or going on planes. sagittarius 3H — the type to be like an excited puppy. is rushing everyone because of how excited they are. might be more inclined to ask others where they’re traveling as they sit and wait capricorn 3H — might be a little more stuffy when it comes to traveling. keeps a tight schedule when leaving and going. could prefer to where business wear when traveling because that’s comfortable for them lol leo 3H - not completely laksidisical, but also is to an extent. focused on making sure their outfit is perfect (you never know who you could meet on a plane, ya know?) may have everyone wait for them because they need to be sure they packed EVERYTHING

⟡ going back to arabic lots, there’s one called Spirit that i think better explains your own spirit as a person (like your personality and how you view life) rather than the actual asteroid Spirit, which i interpreted more so as your guides.

⟡ asteroid Aglaja (47) is named after one of the Greek charities - she rules over beauty splendor, glory, and magnificence. as a result, the asteroid could explain where you can find glory or explain your financial success during life

sagittarius — in another country/place different from your home town; could be lucky when it comes to finances; might even win the lottery virgo — in a place of service, like a community center or non-profit organization; will indulge in the finer side of life - a focus on the arts aries — in a leadership position or cut-throat industry; you may make and spend money quickly - likely water flowing through your hands

⟡ asteroid Kalliope (22) is named after another muse - one ruling over eloquence and epic poetry. this asteroid could give more insight into how you sound or how you use your words. look for aspects to mercury for even more information!

cancer — utilizing emotion to get your point across; could be more passive when speaking; people may find it hard to hear you libra — again, could be more passive; tries to make everything agreeable; tries to uplift others; a firm and encouraging voice scoprio — could be less inclined to talk, but people listen when you do; you use your words to offer insight or point out something important

⟡ in my opinion, where saturn is in your chart could be an area of life where it takes time for you to grow into

⟡ both leo and pisces give off little kid energy but in different ways

TV Life, 7/11/2025 Issue ft. Kimura Kaiki & Hino Yusuke (translations below)

-I had the feeling of "my chance has finally come…!!" when I was selected to appear-

Nice to meet you! I'm GozyuPolar and Kumade Mashiro's Kimura Kaiki. I like vintage clothes and anime, and can usually watch a whole season of anime in one sitting on my days off (laughs). When I was selected to appear in Gozyuger, I had the feeling of, "My chance has finally come…!!" Ever since I started my entertainment activities, I had the strong desire to "appear in a tokusatsu production no matter what!" I'm the eldest among four brothers, so Sentai shows have been playing in my house for a very long time. I've admired Sentai heroes since I was a child, where I was bought toys and wore Sentai hero pajamas, so this has made me really happy.

When I first read the script for my role as Kumade Mashiro, I was surprised and was like, "Why is this character assigned so many setups?!" At the same time, I felt that I wanted to perform in a way where my impression of him would be conveyed to the viewers. I'm conscious of differentiating him from other characters, as I want him to give off a scary presence (laughs). What was most memorable about Mashiro's introduction in episode 16 was the convenience store scene at the very beginning. As an anime lover, I was very excited by the sci-fi like direction of linking episodes 1 and 16.

When I had just started filming, I overheard a name that I had never heard before through everyone's conversations, so I mistakenly assumed it was a staff member and thought, "I have to remember their name quickly," but it turned out that they were one of Mio's hometown friends…(laughs). I was surprised at the fact that everyone recognized this person as if it were obvious, but that's just how friendly they are, so I've been able to film in a harmonious environment. From now on, scenes related to Mashiro's past will appear, so please look forward to them!

Q: If you could gain only one special ability like the Gozyugers, it would be…?

A: What would it be…I'd want the ability to change my appearance. I'd want to transform myself into whatever I imagined in my head, which would include my height, face, voice, and so on (laughs). I think I'd like to use this ability for performative situations. If I could really gain the ability to transform, it'd become the strongest asset for me as an actor!

Number One Shot!!: With episode 18 airing, it's already been three episodes since Kumade Mashiro's unforgettable debut! The world must be overflowing with "kittens" who've become prisoners of love to Kumade Mashiro, no? (laughs). Well anyway, Kumade-san observes something during a scene in episode 19. He appears to be grinning during this unusually different scene. What's the focus of his gaze? Please look forward to next week's episode!!!!!! _

GavvPare! Vol.21 (Hino Yusuke)

-At long last, we've entered the final spurt-

Dente, who was important not only to Shouma, but also to the rest of them, was taken out by Glotta. As Hanto, I was of course shocked, but when I saw the sad expression on Sachika's face, someone who had probably lived a happy life up until then, it was something that struck my heart, and as both a man and a hero, I couldn't let her have that face any further.

Now then, I think episodes 39 and 40 were also Lakia's "turn." Convinced that she was the one he'd been looking for when he saw Dente's wound, Lakia exploded with rage towards Glotta, but I think initially, he was only concerned with avenging Comel and Dente and getting revenge. Still, I think Lakia's the same as Hanto, where he's been influenced by Shouma's strong mentality and sense of justice, and rather than just for getting revenge, he's had his mindset changed to "fighting for the sake of preventing further casualties." Along with that mental change, I think that the big brother qualities he displays from his relationship with Shouma and Hanto contributes to the "laid back vibes" the viewers have come to love him for. He's not just cool, which is so unfair (laughs).

At long last, the story has entered the final spurt. Putting the situation in perspective again, we still have president Bocca Jaldak, Lizel and Jiip, Nyelv, and Lango among the enemies we still have to defeat, and I think the volume is so large that the viewers will wonder, "Can they depict all that within the remaining episodes?!" (laughs). Still, that's just how things roll with Komura Sensei. Even though there'll be tons of hot topics, the growth of Shouma, Hanto, and Lakia will be properly portrayed, and I think you'll see the three different ways of life of these three people who found their reason to fight.

Most recently, one highlight from episode 41 is that it conveys the strength in Hanto's heart as he continues to act alone in his search for Michiru-san. With Shouma on his mind, what choice will Hanto make?…I'd be happy if you'd watch things through to the end with us.

Q: What XX thing can you talk about now?

A: It became increasingly harder for my body to handle the action before transforming (laughs). In episode 32, where Hanto and Lakia get stuck together, my muscles were aching when we filmed those scenes, so I asked Kohei-kun, "Can I rest abit of my weight on you?," and he readily said, "That's fine." However, based on what I overheard later on, Kohei-kun was also having a painful time with his back…I truly feel bad for relying on him. I'm sorry!

Off Shot: Vram powered up! His silver form is so cool! What's more, he even got a shield. I have no doubt this is proof that Lakia's become more concerned about protecting, rather than defeating. Please watch the three of them fight until the very end!

Date Everything x Kpop Demon Hunters Idea Concept

I’ve been combining the two things I’ve been obsessed with in my head and now I’m going to make it your problem too.

So here’s what I’ve been thinking up for Saja Boys and HUNTR/X as objects.

Saja Boys:

They’re goddamn instruments gang, how could I not: Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboard/Keytar, Mic. I imagine them as a rock band, but I have not narrowed down what subgenre of rock I’m exactly thinking of.

Obviously Jinu is the microphone as the main man of the group. The role of vocals fits very well with the fact that Jinu is the only member we can truly find any emotional relation with throughout the movie, and vocals are the most prominent and relatable part of a band/song.

Mystery on drums because I’m obsessed with the concept of the weird, mysterious guy, who only barks, carrying the rhythm on the drums (esp as a zombieland saga fan >:D). Especially since he’s a little bit feral, I like to imagine him just going HARD.

Romance on bass because bass guitar is a sexy instrument so it fits trust. I can’t fully convey how I imagine Romance plays but I feel like his bass playing could balance out the rhythm section with Mystery on drums, providing a solid groove and is GOOD at it.

Abby on guitar cuz it's a flashy instrument and he loves flashing us lol. Guitar is also a lead instrument and Abby is the second most talkative member after Jinu, so it makes sense in my head that those two take the lead roles in the band.

I really like the idea of Baby Saja being on the keyboard/keytar (I can’t decide in my head which one works better). Baby’s whole concept of leaning into the infantilisation of kpop idols for popularity but is a hot ADULT MAN with absolute BARS (like seen in Your Idol), is a two sided concept that would work so well for this band idea. The keyboard in a band provides melody, harmony and versatility, but I like to imagine Baby just absolutely shredding when given the opportunity to.

HUNTR/X:

Hear my out on this one, I pondered on what objects would fit this trio like a lot a lot a lot. Some other ideas I had were: a weapon set hung up on the wall, and a camera including the camera itself (Rumi), the memory card (Zoey) and the flash/lens attachment (Mira). However, the concept I ended up really liking is a Karaoke Machine set, and lemme tell you why.

The type of karaoke machine I’m thinking of is one that are like self contained, has all of the songs, got its own screen, speaker and everything, you can connect it to like your TV if you want but you don’t have to.

Mira is the karaoke machine itself/speakers. Her as a character and an object is flashy, fashionable, loud and aggressive, solid in who/what she is, even if she doesn’t truly fit in as an object, because really, where does a karaoke machine like that go in the house. But it doesn’t matter when she is with Rumi and Zoey because with them, she fits in, with them she is given purpose.

Zoey as part of the set is the song book. As the lyricist of the group it’s almost perfect that she represents the object that contains all the songs and details. She expressed that she has felt useless and weird with all her song lyrics and notebooks but with Huntrix these notes are given purpose and meaning. The song book by itself doesn’t really provide any value but in the context of karaoke, it’s practically vital so you don’t have to go through any trouble. A good thing with this karaoke concept is that the more songs in the book, the better - the more Zoey, the better. Again, like with Mira, these guys are given purpose when together. THE embodiment of ‘frequently bought together, do not separate’. 

RUMI IS THE MIC FOR THE KARAOKE MACHINE AND I’M LIKE SO ECSTATIC THAT IT COMES BACK FULL CIRCLE. CUZ RUMI AND JINU ARE BOTH MICROPHONES, JUST FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES. THE SAME WAY THEY’RE ONE IN THE SAME - BOTH DEMONS - BUT FIGHTING FOR DIFFERENT SIDES.

Full caps cuz I’m genuinely so gassed that it works so well. I also really like the idea of Jinu and Rumi having a story arc helping each other explore what they are as objects/mics. Rumi is given purpose within the karaoke set, buuut the idea that Rumi could be something else, something more, encouraged by Jinu, would be a cool conflict part of their story when the houseowner interacts with them.

Her being the mic fits soo well especially knowing that in the movie, Mira and Zoey expressed that they couldn’t succeed gold without Rumi's voice. Without the mic, what the hell are you going to do with a karaoke machine and song book.

and they maintain their relationship in such a way that the fondness and softness can exist (Oscar and his acts of service, Lando with his words of affirmation) while at the same time allowing for the difficulties that come with being direct competitors. so that they can both Feel how they Feel about things like Hungary and Monza and not expect anything of each other immediately, take a moment to process, and then approach each other level-headed. that because they never fed into a bromance image or leaned into PR work together, they don't have anything to maintain for the sake of others. when they break bread together in peace and harmony aka eat nuggies and play board games or make a special effort with each other during the group photo when they've calmed down, it's because they want to. the team is completely hands off with them (as per Andrea) and has never forced a "friends moment" especially since Sophie took over PR and dropped the bromance/rpf content entirely.

it's why I genuinely think this is smth Lando and Oscar either casually agreed on or maybe even put active thought into. I feel like they looked at what a lot of other teammates have gone through - and Lando with his own teammates - and then made decisions for their own partnership that at first seemed very unusual and missed out on a LOT of things they could've really capitalized on for engagement. like considering McLaren's pre-2023 social media, you'd think they'd lean super heavily into how similar Lando and Oscar's interests are, the mutual friends, the same karting team as kids (at different times) having that perfectly matched opposites vibe, the occasional brain fusion/mind reading, Oscar casually dropping carland0 and dand0 and n0rtrell canon, and the whole looking like twins at times ?? they could be milking the fuck out of all that but they never have. even Lando's nickname thing for Oscar was just spontaneous and only stuck bc Oscar laughed so hard at it the first time.

but they've thoroughly rejected playing up to any of it and frequently they stick to doing PR work fully individually rather than together - and it never ties in with anything going on between them! it's never deep! it's just what they choose to do at that time. Melbourne last year Lando was wrapped up in Quadrant filming and even his dad's scooter PR while Oscar was wrapped up in hometown race, McLaren/Great Barrier Reef and Quadlock PR. apart from the fan stage McLaren didn't get any content out of them together and it didn't matter or mean anything! yes I complained and whined at the time bc I want landoscar stuff but it didn't affect anything that mattered kgfsajlfgasljf

so idk it just doesn't feel crazy to speculate that them both so openly stating how happy they are at McLaren and backing up each other's commitments to the team has meant that they're taking the approach to their own relationship with a view of 'what's going to be the best for the long term?' or 'we should stick to what we know we'll feel comfortable doing for the long run, not just what gets us popularity/engagement now' and therefore 'let's preserve the possibility of close friendship outside of work by focusing on our relationship as teammates first and foremost rather than mixing it up with our social/private lives'

My basic premise is that one day Darkwick is like. In order to promote harmony across the houses and establish rapport with one another we will be assigning captains to a new house for the next month. And then they do that. And it all falls apart immediately.

Frostheim

Yuri voice ill never go back. And then Darkwick is like okay you're too biased against them go make up!! And Yuri seethes so hard something in his body pops.

First off, nooo way he gets along with Tohma or feels comfortable in Jin's room. Secondly, Kaito? Kaito. Literally no way that guy won't scream every other day. It's not even that he dislikes Yuri, it's just that the rumors are too Big for Kaito not to freak out every single time. And Luca of course will not help this concern ever, and will ask for Yuri's history and why he seems so familiar with Frostheim stuff, and Yuri will have to decide how far morals can carry him.

Somehow someway everyone in this scenario comes out appreciating Jin just like. A smidge more. His Frostheim runs as smoothly as Yuri's Frostheim but there's something slightly more dignified about it.

I really just need a Jin Leo bitch off. Leo trying to get info from Jin except he soundproofed his room again, Jin not giving a shit about what the two of them do which makes it considerably less fun despite neither Sho nor Leo being willing to admit that, Jin using his stigma when MC is around to force Leo to do things. This is what inspired it all. The exact sequence of events was that I thought to myself, wouldn't it be funny if Ed was in Jabberwock since it's usually pretty sunny and it requires a lot of work? And then I thought, and also Towa is there. And then I remembered Towa hates Ed and I laughed so hard I cried trying to envision Ed announcing that he's replacing Haru for the time being and Towa trying to electrocute him.

Ren and Ed would also be funny because as long as Ed leaves Ren alone I'm sure he'd be fine. And doubly so if he draws Towa's attention away from him. But I can't tell if after that it'd be funnier if Ren gets annoyed because Ed is actually high maintenance and if Towa isn't doing it then Ren definitely has to. And he'd hate that. OR Ed has seen all his movies and knows all his games and keeps trying to talk to him about it but in a way that pisses him off about it and he's like mad about that. Either way I can't imagine anyone in this house is happy about this arrangement and it's killing me to imagine.

Romeo is at first glad Taiga can't mess things up anymore (even though deep down he misses him) and glad Alan is capable of scaring people straight just by Looking but then Alan is like hey this operation isn't very honorable. It's a low blow to threaten and intimidate and cheat. And then they butt heads about it endlessly.

Which is why Ritsu has to come in and be the equalizer but Alan can't take him seriously because he's like you're way too skinny you have no muscle what is your diet what's your trianing like. Spar with me. And Ritsu, embarrassed and offended, is like ILL HAVE YOU KNOW IM WORKING ON IT. And Alan genuinely offers to help but Ritsu is too used to Taiga and lowkey assumes Alan is making fun of him. And Alan is sincere. So he keeps going.

PLEASEEEE PICTURE IT. THINK ABOUT IT. Think about the Haku Taiga prologue dynamic and make that daily life. Now add in the fact that Hotarubi is meant to be traditional Japanese themes with grace and tranquility and then imagine Taiga is there and try to tell me that's not the funniest shit ever.

And then add in Zenji. We already know Taiga can see or sense more than others so I would bet everything he could probably sense Zenji in some way, which he honestly probably wouldn't care about but I think he'd care a lot about the doll or the biwa. Basically I think he'd try to eat it. I think he'd try to eat something and it would be chaos and hilarious and please just imagine the three of them together. Please. Please. Please.

House Simulator. This is the only truly fully functioning house with no problems outside of Lyca complaining about noise and annoyances and so on so forth. And that is because Rui and Haru are so used to doing like 100% of the work all the time that they both try to do it and end up finishing all the work in half the time since they've split it and now they randomly have free time??? And it's so strange??

Haru helps with breakfast and cleaning and taking care of the animals and chores and so forth and Rui helps with Peekaboo and relieving Haru's exhaustion and it's basically such a functioning pair that it's almost scary. Like Lyca is scared. But also Haru smells bad and is too high energy and LOUDDD so he's in his rebellious teenage phase atm.

Only downside is that Haru has too much bar access and has to be cut off but it's a small price to pay for a house that isn't up in flames by day one. Unfortunately it can't last bc Haru would miss his animals and Rui would feel too worried about hurting Haru so when they swap back both have made peace with it. And Lyca will still kick rocks they couldn't have Subaru.

I think Subaru would become a legend very quickly but not because he's this secret medical genius but because he seems to have this uncanny ability to guess things. And the secret is that he is using his stigma fully on accident and seeing what they were up to and then Jiro is figuring it out from there. And he keeps trying to give Jiro credit but nobody will listen.

He's also squeamish. Like he can't handle blood so when Jiro is like 'Move that to the other table please' Subaru is happy to and moves this weird lump under a sheet and the sheet falls off and its a severed arm and Subaru faints. and Jiro laughs for a second before putting Subaru on the table and making sure he's like actually okay. And they are both very patient with one another and very cordial. But it's so so awkward. And Subaru honest to god does not know how to take care of Jiro and is constantly having to ask Yuri how to do things except Yuri is always occupied by Frostheim so Subaru has to follow Jiro's instructions and they are both praying Every Day.

And that's also why they're both happy when its over. Not because it was bad or they dislike each other but bc they're both glad Yuri will come back and it won't be Does Jiro Die Today Roulette. and then Subaru goes to Haku and grabs his shoulders and is likep lease do not start dying ill cry right in front of you forever. and Haku just nods slowly.

Colonialism, both old and new, which reduces poor countries to mere providers of raw material and cheap labor, engenders violence, poverty, forced migrations, and all the evils that go hand-in-hand with these, precisely because, by placing the periphery at the service of the center, it denies those countries the right to an integral development. That is inequality, and inequality generates a violence which no police, military, or intelligence resources can control.

Let us say NO to forms of colonialism, old and new. Let us say YES to the encounter between peoples and cultures. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Here I wish to bring up an important issue. Some may rightly say, "When the Pope speaks of colonialism, he overlooks certain actions of the Church." I say to you this: many grave sins were committed against the native peoples of America in the name of God. My predecessors acknowledged this, CELAM has said it, and I too wish to say it. Like Saint John Paul II, I ask that the Church "kneel before God and implore forgiveness for the past and present sins of her sons and daughters." I would also say, and here I wish to be quite clear, as was Saint John Paul II: I humble ask forgiveness, not only for the offenses of the Church herself, but also for crimes committed against the native peoples during the so-called conquest of America.

I also ask everyone, believers and non-believers alike, to think of those many bishops, priests, and laity who preached and continue to preach the Good News of Jesus with courage and meekness, respectfully and pacifically; who left behind them impressive works of human promotion and love, often standing alongside the native peoples or accompanying their popular movements even to the point of martyrdom. The Church, her sons and daughters, are part of the identity of the peoples of Latin America. An identity which here, as in other countries, some powers are committed to erasing, at times because our faith is revolutionary, because our faith challenges the tyranny of mammon. Today we are dismayed to see how in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world many of our brothers and sisters are persecuted, tortured, and killed for their faith in Jesus. This too needs to be denounced: in this third world war, waged piecemeal, which we are now experiencing, a form of genocide is taking place, and it must end.

To our brothers and sisters in the Latin American indigenous movement, allow me to express my deep affection and appreciation of their efforts to bring peoples and cultures together in a form of coexistence which I would call polyhedric, where each group preserves its own identity by building together a plurality which does not threaten but rather reinforces unity. Your quest for an interculturalism, which combines the defense of the rights of the native peoples with respect for the territorial integrity of states, is for all of us a source of enrichment and encouragement.

The third task, perhaps the most important facing us today, is to defend Mother Earth.

Our common home is being pillaged, laid waste, and harmed with impunity. Cowardice in defending it is a grave sin. We see with growing disappointment how one international summit after another takes place without any significant result. There exists a clear, definite, and pressing ethical imperative to implement what has not yet been done. We cannot allow certain interests -- interests which are global, but not universal -- to take over, to dominate states and international organizations, and to continue destroying creation. People and their movements are called to cry out, to mobilize, and to demand -- peacefully, but firmly -- that appropriate and urgently-needed measures be taken. I ask you, in the name of God, to defend Mother Earth. I have duly addressed this in my Encyclical Letter, Laudato Si'.

In conclusion, I would like to repeat: the future of humanity does not lie solely in the hands of great leaders, the great powers, and the elites. It is fundamentally in the hands of peoples and in their ability to organize. It is in their hands, which can guide with humility and conviction this process of change. I am with you. Let us together say from the heart: no family without lodging, no individual without dignity, no child without childhood, no young person without a future, no elderly person without a venerable old age. Keep up your struggle and, please, take great care of Mother Earth. I pray for you and with you, and I ask God our Father to accompany you and to bless you, to fill you with his love and defend you on your way by granting you in abundance that strength which keeps us on our feet: that strength is hope, the hope which does not disappoint. Thank you and I ask you, please, to pray for me."
