"You’re snapping. Headache again?” stiles to whoever.
@cre8ed

" And here I thought being hangry was bad when I was alive. " His words were meant as a joke, but the vampire's voice was genuinely strained with a frustrated groan. Fingertips rubbed vigorously at his temples. " You know, it's ironic as hell... summer used to be my favorite season. And now I can't freaking wait for winter, so the sun sets before 8pm... don't know if I can take another few hours of this. Also not real keen on turning into a tiki torch. ---- Any chance I could bribe you, or anybody you know, to raid a bloodbank for me? "

rubiesintherough asked: ❛ you seem somewhat familiar. have i threatened you before? ❜ ( cason )
COMING ACROSS OTHER beings was not uncommon in her line of work. When she was not in the ER, she was often face-to-face with all manner of supernatural. Each of them held their distinct scents and tells as to which they were, be it vampire, werewolf, siren etcetera. Sima had met pretty much every supernatural species there was, so it was no surprise to her when she picked up that the one coming to address her, was a vampire.
His question raised eyebrows, however. She did not know this guy, had never met him before, but somehow, he found her familiar. She had to think why that would be such the case, along with why he'd said about threatening her over anything else. " I cannot say that we have ever met before, let alone you threatening me. However, I have many questions on why you jump to that conclusion above anything. If you'd have met me before, you'd know that I am Princess of Hell, and threatening me is certainly not a clever thing to do. "
Thankfully, his threatening her was not the current case and having never met before meant that they were still strangers who could at least try an amicable introduction. " All that aside, however, now that we have met, I'm Sima. " With her introduction came the extension of her hand, offering it to him to shake.

Meet the Band: Juniper Honey!
Hey blawgers! I’m DJ Penny Lane and this is my first interview in a series I have named “Meet the Band,” where I interview musicians so you can get to know their musical style and background.
My first band here on this series is Juniper Honey, a Southern California indie-rock band. The band is composed of four members, Josh West (bass), Donovan Hess (drums), Jake Hesse (vocals and guitar), and Cason LeSueur (guitar). The band started with two members, Hesse and Hess, departing from their high school band to embark on a new musical journey, eventually teaming up with West and LeSueur to form Juniper Honey. Through creating their own image, I asked if they draw inspiration from other bands, collectively the band landed on more classic bands like the Beatles. However they aren’t exactly striving for one style, as West talks about how, “A lot of us have a very broad variety of tastes, getting influenced by each other[band members] and by other bands pretty much every week.” To add on, Hesse also explains how the band brings “different musical backgrounds, but at the end of the day all of it melts together.” It’s an advantage that each of the members can contribute a different musical influence to the band, opening up a gateway of ideas when creating and sharing their music.
I am always invested in a band's creative process while inventing their music and sounds, so I asked how Juniper Honey works on theirs. “I think we all do a really great job at bringing in our individual elements to the table and hashing things out. We’re also good at giving each other feedback to help build off all of our ideas,” LeSueur answers. I asked if they ever sit down together and have creative writing sessions, and to that Hesse answers, “That’s what everyone hopes happens, but in most cases the more natural thing starts with someone in their bedroom with a guitar and they come up with something. It usually comes to the rest of the band in a very early, raw stage, so it still feels like it’s written from scratch.” West builds off of this with, “That early form could be something like the lyrics, the melody, or a simple chord structure, but then it completely takes its shape after we can all have a stab at it and start adding elements that are us along with the input we share on it.”
While Juniper Honey's performances have been somewhat spread out due to all the band members still attending school, Hesse explains how their current group of shows “has definitely felt like more of a tour.” As they transition from occasional gigs to securing more committed performances, I had to ask them whether they aspire to further pursue music. “I’d love to play some festivals,” remarks Hess regarding some long term goals for the band. “We’re definitely trying to give it all we got,” West adds. “The goal and what we’re shooting for is to continue what we're doing and see where the music takes us. We’ve seen a lot of growth over the last year, and I’m excited to see what these next years will hold.” I caught up with the band midway through their tour, and their standout memory thus far is a show they played at the Brick and Mortar in San Francisco a few weeks back. "We made a lot of cool friends along the way,” West comments, “and I feel like we all delivered a really great performance." Overall, the band receives lots of encouragement from their shows having such great turnouts in cities they didn’t expect. Hesse explains how, “Our expectations are naturally low, so we're pretty surprised when we find ourselves in a place where there are people we’ve never met, yet they know to come see us.” This positive reception fuels their passion and motivates them to continue pursuing their musical endeavors with greater determination.
The last question I asked the band was inspired by the movie Almost Famous, as the last question of the movie ends with the main character being asked,“What do you love about music?” Here are there answers:
Josh West: “I am always captivated by the emotions that music can evoke. Different types of music, different songs, different lyrics can all bring certain memories and emotions into my head. It blows my mind.”
Donovan Hess: “From the listeners perspective I would have to agree with Josh. But from a performance perspective, I’d say I love seeing the transition from playing shows in highschool where all of our friends are having a good time to seeing all of these new people having a good experience with our music. It’s cool to see how happy you can make some people even though you wouldn’t think our music can make this big of an impact on a person.”
Jake Hesse: “What I love about music is the bond that is created from such a simple thing. It can be on so many different levels and look so many different ways. Whether it’s my dad and I bonding over a song, or being at a concert and bonding with complete strangers and feeling so together. I think there’s a beautiful power to music because it’s one of those few things that can make you feel like you can escape and be anywhere except for that one moment.”
Cason LeSueur: “My favorite thing is probably how expressive music is and can make you feel. Whether it’s lyrically or musically you can feel the intimacy from a listener perspective or creator perspective, providing a super connected experience.”
It's been a pleasure delving into the world of Juniper Honey, and I'm excited to see where their musical journey takes them next. To all the readers, keep an eye out for Juniper Honey's upcoming performances and go listen to their music!

Thunder vs Nuggets: Gilgeous-Alexander’s Grit Levels Series for OKC
In a gritty, grind-it-out Game 4 showdown that looked more like a street fight than a modern NBA duel, the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off a gutsy 92-87 victory over the defending champion Denver Nuggets on Sunday afternoon in Colorado. The win evens the Western Conference semifinals at two games apiece and swings the momentum firmly in OKC’s direction heading into Game 5.
The Thunder, widely considered a team built for the future, made a loud statement—they’re not waiting. The future is now.
A Game That Started Slow and Stayed Ugly
On a sunlit Mother’s Day in Denver, the two teams opened with an ice-cold offensive display. Through 12 minutes, both squads combined for a mere 25 points—a figure you’d expect in the closing seconds of a quarter, not the whole thing. Bricks flew, possessions fizzled, and rhythm was nowhere to be found.
At the break, Oklahoma City led 42-36. Neither team shot well, but OKC’s relentless energy began to shine through, setting the tone for what was to come.
“We didn’t have our legs under us,” Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault admitted. “But what we had was focus, and that made all the difference.”
Wallace and Wiggins Spark a Thunder Surge
The turning point came early in the fourth quarter. With the Nuggets ahead 73-66 and the home crowd sensing a pull-away moment, OKC’s second unit responded with sheer determination.
Rookie Cason Wallace—unfazed by the spotlight—nailed back-to-back threes. Then Aaron Wiggins joined the party with a timely triple. In what felt like the blink of an eye, a 7-point deficit turned into a lead.
The Thunder ripped off an 11-0 run and never looked back. The Nuggets couldn’t answer, and their energy vanished just as Oklahoma City’s roared to life.
“That group changed everything,” said Daigneault. “They played fearless basketball when we needed it most.”
The Nuggets Crumble in Crunch Time
Denver’s championship mettle usually shows up in the clutch. But in Game 4? Silence.
The final few minutes were a disaster for the Nuggets: zero points, five missed shots, a pair of missed free throws, and a devastating five-second inbound violation. Meanwhile, OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander calmly dissected the defense, accounting for the majority of the Thunder’s clutch buckets.
Gilgeous-Alexander wrapped up his evening with 25 points—including nine in the decisive fourth—and ran the offense with poise beyond his years.
“We don’t get rattled,” he said postgame. “Even when the shots don’t fall, we keep playing the right way.”
Ugly but Effective
If Game 4 were judged on aesthetics, it wouldn’t win many awards. The teams combined to shoot under 34%, and three-point accuracy was a rumor. But that’s what made this one so telling: Oklahoma City won ugly—and sometimes, that’s how playoff games have to be won.
The Thunder dove for every loose ball, rotated with urgency on defense, and responded to each Denver mini-run with hustle and grit.
Chet Holmgren’s rim protection and Lu Dort’s perimeter harassment were invaluable, even if the box score doesn’t scream it. Wallace’s 11 points and Wiggins’ energy off the bench gave OKC just enough extra firepower to get over the hump.
“This team doesn’t need stars every night,” Wallace said. “We just need to show up, trust each other, and compete.”
Thunder Rising, Nuggets Reeling
With Game 5 set for Tuesday in Oklahoma City, the pressure has shifted. The Nuggets are no longer the unshakeable favorites. Nikola Jokić put up 23 points and 11 boards, but didn’t dominate down the stretch. Jamal Murray looked out of sync. And Denver’s usually reliable supporting cast faded into the background.
“They played with more urgency,” Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman said bluntly. “We didn’t.”
Now, the series heads to OKC, where a confident Thunder squad and a rowdy home crowd await. Momentum, energy, and belief are all wearing blue and orange.
Game 4 wasn’t about who looked better on paper. It was about effort. Execution. Composure. And the Thunder, on this day, had all of it.
If the Nuggets want to reclaim control, they’ll have to dig deeper—and fast.
What Comes Next?
This Western Conference semifinal battle is far from over, but OKC’s growth is undeniable. They’ve taken every punch Denver has thrown, and punched back harder. Game 5 will be telling. But based on Sunday’s scrap, one thing’s clear:
These kids aren’t just learning—they’re contending.

WINTERFEST EVE PART 1
Realianna and Cason's relationship has gotten better over the years. Work and the kids have definitely made it more difficult to spend one on one time together, but whenever they do, they make the best of it.
Cason: Do you need any help with cooking for tomorrow?
Rea: No, I got it. But if I do, I'm sure you will help me (smirking).
Cason: Of course I will (laughing). I'm still not sure what I should get Soraya for winterfest.
Rea: You do know that winterfest is tomorrow, right?
Cason: yeah I know
Rea: And you asking about gifts ideas now?
Cason: Yes.....
Rea: Cason! You won't find a gift on time!
Cason: Then maybe I'll just give her money (shrugging)
Rea: (laughing) You're not serious?!? How much money are you going to give her?
Cason: maybe $3000
Rea: $3000!!!! To a 13 year old!!! Babe, that's way too much!
Cason: Then what should I give to a teenage girl!?
Rea: How about upgrading her computer or maybe getting her new earphones? She can't find the ones I bought for her a few months ago.
Cason: Will that be enough for her?
Rea: (laughing) You need to spend more time with your daughter. She is a simple girl she likes things that are meaningful.
Cason: Can we pray that she stays this way when she gets to high school?
Rea: we can only hope.
Cason: Well, I need to run to the electronic store, and you, my love, need to get busy.
Rea: Huhh, I know!!!! I love you.
Cason: I love you too. (Pulling her close to him) How about we spend the night tonight in the tree house? The kids don't use it anymore. We can have an at home getaway. What do you say (whispering).
Rea: I would love that (both kissing each other passionately)
As the night approached, the fam started to wine down. It's winterfest Eve, and Soraya was excited for Father Winter to show up. Realianna prepared dinner, and then everyone moved to the living room for hot chocolate and a movie.
Cason: Babe are you okay?
Rea:......
Cason: Babe? Rea? Realianna!
Rea:......
Soraya: Mommy!!!
Rea: (shocked) Yes, honey, what's wrong?
Soraya: Daddy has been calling your name and you didn't answer.
Rea: I'm so sorry babe.
Cason: Are you okay? What's going on?
Rea: Nothing. I just got a lot on my mind. You know this will be my first time hosting winterfest dinner since my dad died. Felix always does it since dad died and now I have to do it so I'm a little overwhelmed and scared out of my mind because I don't know if everyone will like my cooking and I know that I'm way too old to be thinking like that but-
Cason: Whoooaaa babe breath!! (Laughing) you really do have a lot on your mind ( laughing)
Rea: Baaaaabbbbeee (pouting)
Cason: I'm sorry. Look, I know that the last time we held the winterfest dinner here was before your father passed away. I'm happy that your brothers and sister took over when it comes to family get-togethers, but I also believe that none of them can host a dinner like you can. And I'm not just saying that because I love you. You are not alone, you have me, I'm not going anywhere, I will help you. I know I've said this a lot, but you can always lean on me.
Rea: And if I mess up?
Cason: Then I will correct all your mistakes.
Rea: (smiling) Thank you.
Cason: you don't need to thank me. I would do anything for you (looking at her with gentle eyes).
Soraya: can you guys please keep it down and stop flirting? I'm trying to watch the movie and if you guys start making out, I'm going to throw up.
Rea/Cason: (laughing while looking at their daughter)
Not everything that Realianna had told Cason was the truth. She was worrying about the dinner party tomorrow, but she was also worrying about something else. She had a dream last night about Liam. For the past few days, she has been feeling this overwhelming feeling of guilt about the affair 8 years ago. She regretted it so much, and she wished this feeling would go away. Her life was perfect now. Why does her past keep coming back to haunt her? She hadn't seen or spoken to Liam since they ended their affair all those years ago.
So while everyone was enjoying their sushi and hot chocolate. Realianna was busy with her thoughts about Liam.

Alright well... I guess it's time to talk about my feelings and shit.
I've been struggling. A lot lately.
My brothers are all gone. My friends are gone
Cason is missing. I haven't seen him in months. I miss my husband. I'm trying to speak to him but I don't get answers. So that scares me. There fine see I said it! I'm scared
I try to pretend things are okay but they aren't
And I just blame myself and get mad all the time
So yea, that's why I'm not here.
I hope you like my new music I guess.

@mvltis sent a transmission : there's always something about Ren that makes Hux crave something. crave being with him in some manner, so it's no surprise when they find themselves in situations like this. generally, it's some sort of bickering that ends in them being like this, but for once, Cason doesn't push the other out of the bed. instead, he leans a little toward him, and decides to hide his face against a broad shoulder, thinking Ren is asleep. for once, he can pretend to not be alone.
IT WAS SOMETHING HE GOT USED TO. Just like a play, the moment the curtain fell it was over, it was time to go. It wasn’t surprising, how could it, the knight know all too well that their relationship wasn’t quite the normal one, complicated at best, it had always balanced on a very thin thread, one wrong step in their careful dance and everything would blow in their faces. Wasn’t that the reason why they kept ending in such situation ? Over and over again. But he was also to blame, he really needed to stop it and yet, he just couldn’t, there was just something that kept drawing Kylo to the other, like a moth to a flame.
However, it was different this time around, he was still there instead of being on his way toward his own quarters, his mind dwelling of such thing, having him wondering if he should just leave without being prompted by the other or if perhaps, he could push his luck just that bit more because truth to be told, he didn’t mind being there, the presence of another body next to him was comforting in a way. Kylo’s attention drifting away from his thought at the feeling of Cason moving, the words on the tip of his tongue swallowed back when he felt the gentle brush of his breath against his own skin as he settled against his shoulder.
He tensed up, if only for a moment, he wasn’t made for tender touches and gentle affection, neither of them were ( or so that was what he believed ) and yet, as if having a mind of its own, his arm carefully found its way around Cason’s frame, fingers idly tracing random figures over pale skin as he turned his head, nose pressing against the top of the other man’s head. He didn’t speak, not yet, not wanting to be the one breaking the silence and the spell that seemed to have been cast over the two of them.

@rubiesintherough - cason sent in a meme for alexander.
“Then what is the point of you?”
A flash of something, a faint sheen of luminescent crimson sparkled in dark eyes at the youngling’s impertinence, a prickle of low, ancient anger prickling the hairs at the back of the kindred’s neck. For a moment. Oh, but the rashness of youth - he could barely remember what it felt like, the rush of it, the thrill, the fear, the excitement of the challenge, of the risk. The arrogance of it. He’d possessed more than his fair share of it, in his younger centuries. So many, many years ago. He itched to lash out, to wrap his hands around the vampire’s throat, to press and pull and dig, to display the presence and power of age and majesty. “You would do well to remember the adage: respect your elders, boy.”

D: It’s strange. He confesses to attempted murder on three counts and the brutal attack on April Maguire, but lawyers up before I can ask about Logan Yanez? Once Miss Maguire passes away, it will be bumped to murder charges. Why be so cooperative about everything, except Logan Yanez?
G: Criminals are weird. I once arrested a kid that removed the ladder from his pool to watch his brother die, but in the interview he was upset about leaving their cat alone. Maybe Mr. Leone was just tired of answering questions?
D: Cason Leone is a narcissist. He likes hearing his own voice. R: Reminds me of someone I know. D: Who? You?
G: It’s been a long night. Maybe it is more believable that, like us, Cason Leone is just tried and wants to rest. He knew asking for a lawyer would mean the interview was over. Doug, you did a fine job on this investigation, but it’s in the hands of the courts now. Why don’t you go home?

My Friend Got Turned Into A Werewolf
Part One Unusual Reunion
Tagging: @melyaliz @dilpickledd @coffee-randomness @speedypan
A/N Werewolf AU that features Annabella and Kaldurs daughter Aquata (mine) and Gigi and Bart's son Red (@melyaliz )
The cold winter air of Gotham bit into Reds skin and he shivered tucking his face into the collar of his jacket. He had forgotten how harsh the Gotham winter could be, how it always seemed to have that strange edge. Glancing at the street sign he sighed fighting back another shiver.
It was late and even he shouldn’t be wandering the streets. Still he knew he was close to his destination, at least he hoped so. When was the last time he had come to her place? He sighed when he realized he had only come once, the first and only time, for her housewarming party. Now he felt silly, what if she moved away? No, he didn’t think so, Aquata wasn't the type of person to move just because.
He stopped at the corner again and spotted the high rise just a block away, he looked up seeing some of the lights on despite the late hour. But he focused his gaze higher up, remembering she had the top floor all to herself. Though he couldn’t help but frown when he noticed that the lights were off. Was she even home? Or was she asleep already? Or back to an earlier thought did she even live here anymore?
Red couldn’t help but groan, he should have called, texted, hell maybe even sent an email. What was he even doing here? He wasn't sure completely. They haven’t talked in awhile, and Red wanted to, what? Catch up? Make sure she was okay? Again he could’ve just called but for some reason that didn't seem like it was enough.
He was being stupid, he needed to get back and just talk to her at a more reasonable hour. Turning around he began to head back in the direction of the subway stop when he felt it. A sudden rush of rage so powerful it made him stumble a bit, holding onto the corner of the building he was standing next to. For a split second he saw an image of himself leaning against the side of the building looking up and then everything went dark.
Buzz buzz buzz
Buzz buzz buzz
Aquata groaned as she rolled on her bed and placed one of her pillows over her head.
Buzzzz buzzzz buzzzz
Why did the building intercoms have to be so loud? Aquata sighed as she got up and checked the time, who was here this late at night?
Buzzzz
“Hello?” Aquata finally answered trying to rub the sleep out of her eyes.
“Aquata.” Red whimpered, making her freeze. There was something off about his voice. “I need help.”
Silence followed and Aquata quickly got up grabbing her robe that she kept at the foot of her bed. She rushed out to the elevator and frantically pressed the button.
“Red!” Aquata shouted as she rushed out of the complex looking around frantically. She could see blood on the ground and felt her heart drop. Following the blood she quickly found him slumped against the building.
“Red.” Aquata breathed out as she kneeled next to him examining his condition there were deep gashes in his shoulder that were bleeding profusely. “Red can you hear me?”
His eyes fluttered open and he looked at her in a way she couldn’t really figure out.
“Hey.” He said simply swallowing hard and wincing.
“Red we need to get you to a hospital.” Aquata said, slipping off her robe and ripping pieces to tie around his wound.
“I can't.” Red breathed wincing at the pain the slight pressure caused. “I think something bit me.”
Aquata stopped and looked down at him carefully, not good. “Red what bit you exactly.”
“I dont know.” Red mumbled, losing his focus. “Something big, so many teeth.”
“Red stay with me.” Aquata said looking at the wounds with more care.
There were too many, more than one bite. So that means it was an attack. A bad one however, the teeth didn't manage to hit anything vital. Carefully she made Red get to his feet urging him to move his legs.
"Come on just a little more." She whispered as they reached the door, thankful that the lobby was empty.
The elevator ride up seemed to take forever but once the bell dinged she sighed as she continued to drag Red alongside her.
She had no choice but to make him settle on her couch. Rushing over to her bedroom she grabbed the first aid kit then rummaged through a trunk of special items she tended to keep on hand. Grateful for the fact that her mother always made sure her children were prepared for anything. Hands full she settled next to Red and removed the blood soaked fabric from his wounds.
Now with better lighting Aquata could see the sheen of sweat that was developing on his forehead. Not good, if Aquata was right and this was indeed a werewolf bite, then the transformation was already taking place. There was no way to stop it now, Aquata simply prayed to all the gods that the amount of venom that was put into him wouldn't kill him.
Focusing on the current task at hand Aquatas hands began to move. Cleaning the wounds as best she could and adding herbs and potions that would hopefully draw the excess venom out. By the end Aquata was covered in sweat and Red was passed out but he was breathing.
Carefully she adjusted him in a more comfortable position and went to go clean up. She watched as the blood ran down the drain. She wouldn't be able to do this alone, he was going to need better help than her. Once the water turned clear she shut it off and grabbed a towel. Her phone seemed to wait for her on her nightstand and she sighed. Here goes nothing.
"Hey Google." Aquata spoke as she finished drying herself up. "Call Tyler."
She wrapped the towel around her body and picked up the phone as it rang walking out into the hallway and peeking at Red from the entrance.
"Hello?" A tired soft voice answered.
"Oh sorry Cason." Aquata rubbed her eyes forgetting just how late it really was. "Sorry I wouldn't be calling if it wasn't an emergency."
"Is everything alright?" Cason asked a little more alert and Aquata couldn't help but smile, always so sweet.
"I need to ask Tyler something, is he there?" Aquata continued, she heard some shuffling over the phone then Tyler's sleepy voice came through.
"Hello?"
"Tyler, I need to know something… is there anyone from your pack still left in Gotham?"
"No, why?" Tyler asked, confused.
"Then I think there's a rogue running around here."

there's a charge stirring in the Force that stills his hand in the instinctive response to meet violence with violence , simply because of how it differs with the presence of a knife leveled at his throat . sharp edge of the blade , so similar to the tongue of its wielder , is scant millimetres away from the leather band wrapped around a pale neck . unwavering with a steady hand , yet there’s something more there .
tongue briefly peaking out between lips stained with the color of blood , as if to see if this strange duality could be tasted in the air , the Force user remains still as curiosity wins out against the fleeting urge to twist the blade from the redhead's hand .
curious , how intrigue is present over caution .
