Rinse and repeat the excuse-making routine until you no longer remember why it is we even have a liberal political party in this country. The point is, no one is actually responsible for anything. No one has to own the consequences of the policies they support. Everyone’s hands are tied. Israel has gone rogue. The US has to arm a genocide or Israel will turn to China, or AIPAC will unleash spending or Trump will be worse, blah blah, on and on. One element of this disempowering brand of politics is that those adjacent to powerful institutions—those in the party’s prime-time speaking slots, elected to Congress—present themselves as just another voter forced into the hard choice of Lesser of Two Evils. And while it’s true that the average person is more or less forced to pick a less aggregate evil, influential party spokespeople like Ocasio-Cortez, while not leaders, have some leverage, some influence over those asking for their support. But countless progressive electeds and institutions did not condition their support for Harris in exchange for a commitment to arms embargo. They handed it over right away in the interest of “party unity” and moved on to the rah-rah section of the presidential campaign, which perhaps makes sense in some moral calculus (again, it’s odd to see the crime of crimes being treated as just another boutique ideological hang up), but it’s very clear that—even in the event they could have potentially exercised power and joined with their colleague Rep. Rashida Tlaib in conditioning endorsements in exchange for commitments on Gaza—our progressive champions avoided power like it was a hitchhiker with pets.

Enjoy pig demon/monster stuff. You can tell when I got sleepy of I did not edit it out.
Content: Monsterfuckery of course, inhuman genitalia, hardcore domination?
Reader Info: you/your Gender neutral, body neutral.
General Headcanons
Ganon's Goods
There's multiple types of ganons all are large and have some pig/boarish(with exceptions) attributes but their severity varies. I'm going separate them into categories.
Pigish Ganons
LoZ Gannon, OoS/OoA Ganon, Four Swords Adventures, AltTP/ALBW Ganon (and Yuga Ganon.)
Rounder chunky boys. Piggy faces usually wielding a trident and without Ganondorf appearing in the game.
They appear around the same size and have equal chance of having humanoid cocks vs one more accurate of their pig counterpart. Which has a more corkscrew shape. Feel free to pick and imagine which one you want. They'd probably be around the same length. The human cock being fatter. The corkscrew cock being thinner but curved.
Big balls. That's all.
Imagine them having little pig tails. Tease them a bit over it.
Boarish Monster Ganon
OoT Ganon, Hyrule Warriors,
Sharper features, at least semi humanoid. Welding weapons and are direct transformations of Ganondorf. Also have long tails.
Oot is probably taller with standing at full height since he's bipedal. Hw has a more hunch posture making it hard to gadge.
Same as before with probability of both humanoid or corkscrew cocks. Though I feel Oot is probably more human leaning.
They have good solid horns/tusks so feel free to give them a tug.
Monster Ganon
Calamity Ganon from both BoTW and AoC
Humanoid but clearly monstrous.
BoTW is sort of built like a malice powered drider with extra limbs. I'm torn on if it would have the equipment but you're here for dicks so you'll get them. It's probably fleshy akin to his not mechanical arms. Would a condom protect you from malice? Let's just assume it would. Horny defeats Malice and Gloom. The shape of their dicks could literally be anything. No balls sadly.
Looking up AoC the most common pic you'd see is him literally presenting his crotch so he fucks.
Where's his dick you my ask, genital slit I answer. It's invisible unless aroused and then a dick comes out. People who read stuff with monster/non human characters know what's up.
I want to say he has a ridged cock but it's just as likely to be smooth. No external testicles.
I can't help but think about the Pyronite from Ben 10 when I see him.
Dark Beast Ganon
BoTW Dark Beast Ganon and TP Dark Beast Ganon.
They mostly resemble wild boars. I was hesitant to put BoTW Dark Beast Ganon but decided he was fine he's a demon boar made of malice.
Most likely to have inhuman junk. Though you're definitely not taking BoTW. You can try if you want.
Small Bonus: Agahnim
An alter ego of Ganon that I remembered while looking at sprites and models for Ganons to get sizes and such. He's probably the shortest Ganon adjacent character. Either average height or just breaking above average. Same with his sizes. Probably willing to use magic in kinky ways though.
Ganon's Kinks
-They share kinks with their Ganondorf counterparts though you probably aren't going to top or dominate any of the Ganons though some would like to see you try.
-Really the closest you get is pulling tusked/horned Ganons around maybe guiding them down between your legs.
-(All) Size kink returns as well as power imbalances roleplay. You're so small in his fist/underneath him surely you know your place and will submit. He only achieved this form due to his sheer power you won't win.
-(All) Exhibitionism except without jealousy as a factor he doesn't care as much in these form. He's already the most powerful should he not conquer what's his?
Reader Insert Headcanons
For the pigish Ganons his underlings rely on you to keep him relatively calm. They are grateful even if they have to catch eyefuls of you tending to their master.
-Often any aftercare is done by the underlings. They clean up after you're done. OoA/OoS Ganon has Veran and Onox to care for you. The dark fairy and dark dragon will be willing to finish the job as well if you're unsatisfied. Just don't tell their bosses.
Being Oot Ganondorf's partner and after he defeats that pesky hero of time comes to you in this monstrous form. Adrenaline running through his system and not wanting to admit he was possibly, a mere inkling, worried about his own demise.
-It's not hard to recognize your lover in this form. Easier still is recognizing his arousal. It's probably the most gentle fuck out of all the Ganons. If you wish for roughness there's plenty of time later. Ganondorf is still adjusting to this form after all.
AoC Calamity Ganon stands out in appearance both other Ganons and somehow the blights and BoTW Calamity Ganon. While BoTW Calamity Ganon would spread Malice on contact AoC seems to burn it?
Either way it'll have the same sensation. If you have ever put ice inside a hot drink and drank some and there's a sensation of like swirling hot and cold, that's what I imagine touching Malice feels like. It's warm but also leeching your warmth. So imagine that sensation while getting reamed.

800G Interconnects: Decoding the Differences Between AOC cables and DAC cables

In the rapidly evolving landscape of data centers and high-performance computing, the demand for higher bandwidth and faster interconnects is relentless. As network speeds push towards 800 Gigabit Ethernet (800G), understanding the fundamental differences between cabling solutions becomes critical for optimizing performance, cost, and efficiency. Two prominent contenders in this arena are Direct Attach Cables (DACs) and Active Optical Cables (AOCs). While both offer high-speed, pre-terminated connectivity, their underlying technology, performance characteristics, and ideal use cases diverge significantly, especially at 800G.
The Core Distinction: Copper vs. Optics
The most fundamental difference between an 800G AOC and a traditional DAC lies in their transmission medium:
Direct Attach Cable (DAC): As the name suggests, DACs utilize copper twinaxial cables for signal transmission. The electrical signals from the networking equipment are sent directly over the copper wires, with the transceivers on each end simply acting as passive or active (with signal conditioning) conduits. At 800G, these are often "active DACs" which include integrated circuitry to boost and equalize the electrical signals, extending their reach beyond passive copper limitations.
Active Optical Cable (AOC): AOCs, on the other hand, employ fiber optic strands for data transmission. Within the connector at each end of an AOC, there are integrated optical transceivers. These transceivers convert the electrical signals from the networking equipment into optical signals (light) for transmission over the fiber, and then convert them back to electrical signals at the receiving end.
Key Differentiating Factors at 800G:
The choice between an 800G AOC and a DAC hinges on several critical factors:
1. Transmission Distance:
DAC: DACs are primarily designed for short-reach interconnects, typically within a single rack or adjacent racks. At 800G, the maximum practical transmission distance for DACs is quite limited, usually to a few meters (e.g., 2-3 meters, though some active DACs might push slightly further). Beyond this, signal degradation due to attenuation and crosstalk becomes prohibitive.
AOC: AOCs leverage the inherent advantages of fiber optics, enabling significantly longer transmission distances. 800G AOCs can typically extend up to 50-100 meters, making them ideal for inter-rack, intra-row, or even short inter-row connections within a data center.
2. Signal Integrity and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI):
DAC: Copper cables are susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, especially at higher data rates like 800G. This can lead to signal degradation, increased bit error rates, and reduced reliability, particularly in electrically noisy environments. The bulk of copper cables also increases with higher speeds due to the need for more shielding.
AOC: Since AOCs transmit data as light signals over fiber optic strands, they are immune to EMI. This inherent immunity ensures superior signal integrity and highly reliable data transmission, making them a robust solution for demanding data center environments.
3. Flexibility and Weight:
DAC: As data rates increase, DACs become thicker, heavier, and less flexible due to the increased copper content and shielding required. This can pose challenges for cable management, especially in densely packed racks.
AOC: Fiber optic cables are inherently much thinner and lighter than their copper counterparts. This makes 800G AOCs significantly more flexible and easier to route and manage within racks, contributing to better airflow and reduced physical strain on equipment ports.
4. Power Consumption:
DAC: Passive DACs consume virtually no power, as they are essentially just copper wires. Active DACs, however, do consume some power for their integrated signal conditioning circuitry, although typically less than AOCs over very short distances.
AOC: AOCs require power to operate their integrated optical transceivers, which perform electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical conversions. This means 800G AOCs generally have higher power consumption compared to passive DACs, though advancements are continually reducing this.
5. Cost:
DAC: For very short distances, DACs generally offer a lower upfront cost compared to AOCs. The simplicity of copper manufacturing contributes to this cost advantage.
AOC: While the cost of AOCs has decreased over time, they are still typically more expensive per unit than DACs, primarily due to the integrated optical components. However, for longer distances where DACs are not feasible, AOCs become the more cost-effective solution when considering the alternative of separate transceivers and fiber optic patch cables.

800G Use Cases and Considerations for SEO Inclusion:
When planning 800G deployments, the choice between AOCs and DACs directly impacts network architecture and operational efficiency.
800G DACs are the preferred choice for:
Intra-rack connectivity: Connecting servers to Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches within the same rack.
Cost-sensitive, very short-reach applications: Where budget is a primary concern and distances are minimal.
Low power consumption needs: For the shortest links where passive DACs can be utilized.
800G AOCs are essential for:
Inter-rack and intra-row connectivity: Linking switches and servers across different racks or within the same row.
High-density data centers: Where cable management and airflow are critical.
Environments with high EMI: Ensuring reliable data transmission in electrically noisy settings.
High-performance computing (HPC) clusters: Where low latency and robust signal integrity over moderate distances are paramount.
Cloud infrastructure: For efficient and scalable interconnects across distributed server environments.
In conclusion, while 800G DACs offer a cost-effective and power-efficient solution for ultra-short distances, 800G AOCs are indispensable for extending reach, enhancing signal integrity, and simplifying cable management in the demanding 800G landscape of modern data centers. The decision between them boils down to a careful evaluation of distance requirements, environmental factors, power budgets, and overall cost-effectiveness for each specific link.

LoZ: Hyrulean Cultural Aesthetics
Important to note, Hylians, Sheikah, Gerudo, & Lupáns are all considered human.
Those with pointed ears are referred to as Cuspan & those without are called Ovelian.
Overall Cultural Influences:
Central Hyrule & Hylians specifically = Medieval Germanic & Arthurian English with some variation depending on location. All Hylian towns will likely have a little bit of this in them.
Ovelians = Rural, small town, down home, farmer, tough as nails, survivor, rough around the edges, traditional, conservative, but still rebellious, & generally very good-hearted. That means they are the rednecks, the cowboys, the military men, the American Southerners, the Vikings, & the Celts kind of characters. You're salt of the earth types. At least in feel, though not necessarily in culture. It's because of this that humans generally get along well with Gorons. Either way, humans stick mostly to the agricultural & ranching settlements for the most part.
Zora = Hard to tell as they generally don't wear clothing, but they do wear a lot of jewelry. If I had to give them clothes, I'd definitely say they'd be something flowy. Possibly Roman or Greek in fashion to go with the water theme? As for sensibilities, maybe a bit of French Rococo. I also get the impression that the Zora's Domain is actually divided into 2 levels: the Upper Domain & the Lower Domain. The Upper Domain is what we see in the games & consists of the commercial district & palace. The Lower Domain is entirely underwater & is where the Zora actually live. The reason we don't see it is because Link can't dive.
Rito = Northern Native American. Aldean specifically. Maybe a bit of Latin American.
Goron = A mix of Maori (Polynesian), African, Dwarven, & maybe a bit of Old West mining town, though it's hard to tell for certain as they generally don't wear clothing. At the same time, their general architecture seems to have a Town of Bedrock-type feel to it. Definitely something with a decent source of friendly machismo (not what is considered "toxic masculinity;" actual machismo). Something masculine & tribal, but also community oriented & friendly.
Gerudo = Egyptian/Middle Eastern Amazons with some Orc influence. Possibly with some hints of Hindu too. At least as far as fashion goes.
Korok/Kokiri = If Peter Pan & the Lost Boys were Hobbits.
Twili = Possibly Scandanavian? Also Chinese with some Japanese influences.
Mogma = They seem to be Brooklyn-ish. Maybe even a bit of an Italian-American Mob feel, but more so in the "friendly gangster" way. So, I'm seeing some Bensonhurst influences, which is a specifically Italian-American borough within Brooklyn, I believe. Maybe even a bit of New York Jewish? Like, they come across as being Italian mafia adjacent, but only in so much as the accent, the attitude, & family-oriented organization. Sort of an "it takes a village" & "we take care of our own" type of mentality. Not in any way actually mafia though & certainly not in the romanticized view of gangsters as I don't actually see the Mogmas being the types to actually commit crimes on the reg. And despite being avid treasure-hunters, they seem to have a general culture of altruistic generosity. By that, I mean that their love language is gift-giving.
Yeti = Norse Viking.
Minish = Borrowers.
Anouki = Inuit.
Lokomo = Possibly Greek?
Zonai = Mesoamerican.
*Búralupán = Gaelic, Celtic, & a bit Nordic. (This is a race I made up, if you wanna know more, go to Wolf Link & the Lupán Race.)
Smaller Settlements:
Hateno = I'm getting Gaelic Scottish farming town. Also maybe a bit of Spain, Italy, & Greece. Mostly inhabited by humans, both Cuspan & Ovelian.
Kakariko = Japanese with maybe a touch of American Old West. While primarily Japanese, there's also some definite South Korean influences. Especially in their cooking.
Mabé = Rustic dairy ranching town vibes because I'm putting Lon Lon Ranch there. Based on how AoC & LA's Mabe was designed, their roofing is colorful terracotta tile & generally has ivy & such growing on their homes, so Castillian. Mostly inhabited by humans.
Goponga = I'm getting rural Luisiana Bayou vibes, most likely due to it being located in a swamp. So, primarily Cajun, French, & Colonial Spanish with some Zora inspiration maybe. Mostly inhabited by humans & Zora.
Deya = Italian. I'm also giving them a vineyard, peach orchard, & making them use them to make moscato, so specifically an old Tuscany winery & fishing village. Mostly inhabited by humans. From what we see in the games, it was actually the biggest settlement in Hyrule besides Castle Town, so it could've been a full-on town or city.
Ordon = Has a rural ranching feel & might be inspired by a southern agricultural town in Italy called Ordona. So, maybe a touch of rural Italy with American South mannerisms & sensibilities. Culturally, though, I get Gaelic Irish vibes. It might be the smials… Also, maybe a little bit of Welsh too. Either way, it's mostly inhabited by Ovelians & Lupáns (more Ovelian than Lupáns) with the occasional Hylian, Sheikah, & 1 or 2 Gerudo. (For more of their overall culture, go to Ordonian Culture & Ordon Cooking Culture.)
Lurelin = Rural Polynesian fishing village. Maybe a little bit of Caribbean & Okinawan? With a little bit of Mesoamerican mixed in due to Zonai influence from the nearby ruins.
Ealiyah = Tibetan-flavored Gerudo farming & brewing town. Maybe a little bit of Russian & hints of Norse too? Also, interior decoration is eclectic & cluttered but cozy & colorful in a vibrant, rustic Bohemian sort of way. There are also some influences from humans, including Ovelians, Hylians, Lupàns, & even Sheikah to a degree as several of each race lives there too (all men), but overall, the culture remains mostly that Tibetan-Gerudo sort of style. They do a lot of weaving & sewing as well as dying. (This is a town I made up, for more on its culture & history, go to Ealiyah Town & the Highlands Gerudo.)
- Hànmalàn Hamlet = A small majority Upper Middle Eastern/Southeast Asian-flavored Gerudo settlement in the Faron Jungle with some Lurelinites & a number of Sheikah living there as well. Located in Damel Forest.
Tabantha Village = Celtic-Norse with Rito, Yeti, & Lupán inspiration. So, old Norse Viking, Aldean, Celtic, & Gaelic with a Russian & Welsh accent. They use a lot of furs in their clothing. Mostly inhabited by Ovelians, Hylians, Rito, Yeti, & Lupán.
Shadow Hamlet = Dwarven possibly, with Goron inspiration. So, very masculine. Maybe a bit of Old Western Mining Town. A mix of Gorons, Hylians, & Ovelians tend to live here.
Koholint Domain = This is on the Koholina Archipelago, which Eventide Island is the smallest island of & will eventually become a fishing & port town. In-world, it has influence from Zora, Rito, & Lurelin. But, from a real world perspective, it's mostly Polynesian, coastal Native American, & coastal Hindu with some ancient coastal Greco-Roman (even Atlantis-like) influence for the underwater sections of the settlement. As well as in their formal fashion. There would likely be a tiny bit of Carribean & Okinawan influence in there too. The population is made up of Euryhaline Zora (able to survive in both salt & fresh water), Coastal Rito, & Lurelin humans. And, much like with how I think the Zora's Domain is built, the settlement's commercial district is on land, while the Zora residential area is underwater. The Rito & human residences, as well as the Cheiftain's home, are also on land. (For more on the specifics of this, go to Euryhaline Zora & Coastal Rito Port Town.)
Gatepost, Outpost, & East Post = These are all a package deal. These are mostly military towns, so that'll definitely factor in. They are positioned in such a way as to protect Oldcastle. Mostly inhabited by Hyrulean Humans, but with smatterings of the other races too.
Oldcastle or Hightemple = The site of OoT's Castle Town, a.k.a. the Great Plateau, so there'll be some DEEP historical significance going on. As such, it's mostly Medieval Germanic & Arthurian English. Mostly inhabited by Hyrulean Humans.

okay I’ve been inspired, time to list all my versions of botw/totk/aoc link lets go
Wild (He/They): Nonbinary, LU Wild adjacent, generally who I write whenever I write for LU, kind of his own thing bc I feel as though I tend to stray when it comes to lu characterization to fit my own wants. Has the most trouble with memories and their past, has the least control over his emotions. Things like sorrow and anger hit really hard for them and they have more trouble regulating it. Still silly and GNC though, just not as confident about their gender presentation yet.
Sage (They/She): Genderfluid, HSFR botw/totk Link, really leaning into the whole death/rebirth/reincarnation thing with this one, accidentally picks up a spooky vibe because they have a skeleton horse and a big comfort cloak and is extremely good at making potions. This whole vibe what I’m leaning into for Another Second Chance, even though in that one the botw Link is still called Wild lol.
Guardian (He/Him): Too anxious to think about gender rn but is a aroace queen. HSFR AoC Link, half sheikah and it is important to his story. His life is kinda dictated by his dedication to the throne by being descended from a long line of royal knights and sheikah who have vowed to serve the blood of the goddess. Also he’s betrothed to his Zelda and on his way to becoming King/Prince Consort.
Aryll (She/Her): Cis woman (but with complicated gender feelings as she was discouraged from being feminine for a long time and has trouble feeling valued while enjoying typically feminine things, you know the vibe) My Fem!Wild/ Link AU, is the most likely to commit regicide. Had an easier time recovering memories during botw bc of her large amount of shared moments with Zelda.
Linkle (She/Her): Trans woman Link au, has a bit of an egg cracking moment when she was getting into gerudo town, don’t have much for this one, it might be where I put all my Link being close to the Gerudo hcs. Like, after sealing the calamity, she and Zelda go to live in Gerudo Town instead of Hateno and they’re real close buddies with Riju and Linkle goes to the nearby great fairy to get her gender magically transed. idk i love the gerudo and think they deserve better. (also her name could be changed i kinda made this one on a whim...)
Spirit Sage (They/Them): Fem leaning enby, totk role swap au where Link gets sent back with the spirit stone instead of Zelda, they lost their arm but the stone lets them summon a ghost version that they have to learn how to control (a feature also seen with HSFR Sage), trained under Mineru and tries to assasinate Ganondorf a few times.
Time Sage (They/He): Masc leaning enby, pre-calamity was a trans man but then their gender got pickled for a century and their ideas on gender changed a little. They lose their arm but don’t get a replacement. The secret stone they had with them amplifies their time manipulation abilities (bullet time/ sitting by the fire, that kind of thing) They have to learn to fight just as will with their left side and not wield any sort of shield. The story is closer to the canon version than the Sage of Spirit version of the au.
Gladiator (He/Him): trans man, ssbu Link, pulled from his quest pretty soon after botw. Older brother/babysitter to Young Link (MM) and Toon Link (WW), Eyes have been opened to the multiverse and he’s kinda just vibing with being kind of immortal and meeting the strangest people. ssb lore is wacky so he’s at least allies with all of the other characters, including ganondorf at in the end. Has the least amount of fashion sense and cooking ability but at least he has little brothers and is buds with Kirby.
#honestly i could probably come up with more#i have a lot of ideas for this guy and not all of them mix together super well and it would be fixed by just adding it to a different au#botw#totk#totk spoilers#links meeting au#links meet au#botw links meeting au#idk how to tag this it's all just crack#breath of the wild#zelda au#linkverse#botw linkverse#they're trying to obtain a full gender spectrum and i don't think they're doing too badly

ok as promised here's the post about botw-adjacent hyrule castle's theorized main entrance
so: as anyone who's explored the castle in breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom knows, there are limited entrances to the interior of the castle. there's the docks, some tunnels, the balcony of the observation room, etc. then there are a couple of side doors, like the ones to the guards' chambers, the library door that leads outside, the door(s) to zelda's room, etc. but like, none of those is a *main entrance*. you'd think it's obvious, duh, it's the door to the sanctum!
but here's the kicker. the sanctum doesn't lead anywhere.
you can't actually get anywhere else from the sanctum. you can get on top of the sanctum, sure, and you can get outside, but it does not connect to any other parts of the castle. There aren't even rubble filled doorways that would indicate that you could! (this is Very Likely so that you wouldn't accidentally end up in the boss fight in botw while exploring the rest of the castle, and like, that makes sense from a dungeon design point of view, but not from a *liveable castle* point of view.) this is ESPECIALLY frustrating because Creating a Champion literally states that Zelda's room is where it is so that she could get to the sanctum in less than 5 minutes without going outside. SHE CAN'T, NINTENDO, BECAUSE YOU REMOVED ALL INNER THE DOORS TO THE SANCTUM!!
so this creates the question: where was the main entrance before calamity then?
well, youtuber banan039 has an answer: under the observation room balcony! genious, i thought, that makes so much sense omg why wasn't that in there in botw. (by the way i'm in love with banan039's pre-calamity mod's progress videos they give me so much strength on my harrowing journey to trying to figure out intact hyrule castle's layout please go watch them and support the creator if you have the means.)
but uh yeah anyway turns out the door isn't there in botw because there's a cliff like right in front of it. well that's inconvenient, i thought, but idk, maybe the calamity caused it and collapsed the door.
NOPE! that door was never in there even pre-calamity in breath of the wild canon!

this screenshot is from the cutscene in champion's ballad where king rhoam appoints the champions. if you look closely, you can see that the area underneath the observation room (right above the castle gates) is the same texture as the cliffs around it, and you can see the bit of grass there, yeah, that would block the front door.
(also, minor spoilers for tears of the kingdom: you couldn't have anything under the observation room anyway because of the royal secret passage.)
and actually then i got to thinking: if the front door was under the observation room, what would be the purpose of the gatehouses??? and, as a friend pointed out, the narrow winding path that would be difficult to climb, heightening the castle's defenses????
so what makes the most sense is that the main entrance would be in the sanctum after all, especially since it was said in creating a champion that it would have had an indoors access to zelda's room. my current working theory is that there was a spiral staircase in one of the corner towers of the sanctum's lowest floor, but i have not yet been able to explore that area in depth enough to confirm that it could have been possible. however, it seems... plausible, likely even if i happen to find a spot with a lot of rubble on the floor, because that could be a staircase hole filled up. it's not the most conventional castle architecture but eh, it makes more sense than the front door being before either of the gatehouses, straight on the line of attack after the castle gate gets broken.
except.
THERE'S A FUCKING FRONT DOOR UNDER THE OBSERVATION ROOM IN AGE OF CALAMITY

(https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Hyrule_Castle?file=Hyrule_Castle.jpg) (and a bunch of aoc cutscenes, though i wasn't able to find the one this screenshot is from.)
sigh.
#the legend of zelda#breath of the wild#tears of the kingdom#tears of the kingdom spoilers#totk spoilers#anyway like botw hyrule castle is a great dungeon design but they clearly left it at that and did not think about the castle's#original purpose i.e. you know a castle#but then in aoc they had to think 'wait a second how is the royal family supposed to use this'#and added a front door lol#BUT IT COMPLETELY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE GATEHOUSES AND THE REST OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE#i told my spouse about my findings and they went 'the front door is what stopped the calamity'#AND I MEAN-#maybe botw rhoam was so prideful because he thought his house was infallible#but aoc rhoam realized he had a shitty front door and had to accept alternative means of protection if it meant saving his skin#aslgjldjljlskjgl#age of calamity#hyrule warriors age of calamity#hyrule castle

I've been getting some people irl who've been asking me how I keep up with the news because *gestures at right wing mega corps owning all major outlets*
So just a really bare bones answer because... I suppose it's just not super straightforward any more... Let's try to think about why in moderation T^T
Summary: state rep mailing list, npr, American Medical association (youtube), about a dozen small independent nonprofit news sources on bsky.
I'm on my state reps mailing list (this is by far the most helpful). I get a lot of info on local and national legislation here. Idk what you're getting if your rep is a republican but mailing lists are usually found on state rep facebook or official gov sites and are not region locked.
NPR gives a decent view of national goings on. The American Medical Association has a youtube they keep fairly updated, it's a little dry but it'll tell you what you need to know.
Bsky has a host of small independent non-profit news sources. I accidentally followed a list and can't seem to undo it but there's a lot of stuff there I encourage people to check out.
You can start with democracy docket or following AOC and branch out from there. I'm following stuff from Alabama, Tennessee, Wyoming, New York, Arizona, LA, Minnesota, Detroit etc. Not all are great but the info on legislation and those arguing for or against is usually interesting and it really puts into focus how purple a lot of traditionally red regions are.
If you do go looking on Bluesky, I sincerely suggest blocking Trump's name because he really is just a distraction 95% of the time. You'll get his movements through adjacent articles and I promise you're missing almost nothing. (I do suggest making a media list, it'll separate news from your regular feed, because it can be a bit harrowing when everything seems to be going wrong at once lol)
#These days I google him and Epstein just to see how many articles are out just because I personally think it's funny#That and honestly just @sidneymorss sketches on youtube... they're a relatively accurate non-painful way to get broad stroke info on trump

Oh gosh yes, I remember when Biden won in 2020 it was just such a relief to know I could look forward to multiple years of not having to think much about Donald Trump. Please, let's have more of that.
I think a lot of the leftist accelerationist-adjacent people hear these sentiments and interpret them as selfish, "you just want to go back to brunch while kids continue to be in cages and bombs continue to drop but you can ignore it because a Democrat is doing it and they're not planning to hurt you and your friends and family," and sure, not wanting to experience the risks and chronic stress of living under the rule of President Biff Tannen and his similarly odious friends is part of them, but also, I think a USA where Trump stays a one-term President is likely to be significantly more politically progressive than a two-term Trump USA in, say, 2050, because in the former country a ton of extra leftist and liberal energy will have been available for pressing for actual improvements because it won't have been eaten up just defending the progress made since, oh, 1950 or so (and this is just considering middle-of-the-road outcomes, not worst case scenarios for a second Trump term); I think that's what AOC meant when she said she didn't want to "do four more years of resistance nonsense."
“The bigger her victory (knock on wood) the less likely we are to have to spin our wheels every two or four years trying to stave off a fascist takeover. The clearer his defeat, the likelier his GOP accomplices are to melt away, and (thus) the likelier he is to rot in a prison cell without much fanfare. Failure to reform at that point would make the GOP a rump party, much less menacing than it is today. More Republicans will become Democrats, and I suspect we’ll see less drift to the GOP, as Trump gives way to weirder right-wing sexual moralists. A reformed GOP would probably be harder to beat, but less of an existential threat to freedom and democracy. That would be good! The country will be in big trouble if Trump wins, but it won’t be safe if Trump loses by a paper-thin margin. Earlier this week, while gaming on Twitch with Tim Walz, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explained why progressives should dread another inside-straight Trump presidency. “I do not wanna do four more years of resistance nonsense under Donald Trump, okay? Like, good God. Do we remember what it was like waking up every day and there was some shit going on?””

AOC vs DAC Cables: What’s the difference?
AOC (Active Optical Cable) and DAC (Direct Attach Cable) are both types of cables used for high-speed data transmission, particularly in data centers and networking environments. Here’s a breakdown of their differences:

Transmission Technology:
AOC (Active Optical Cable): Uses fiber optics for data transmission. It contains optical fibers and active components to convert electrical signals into optical signals and vice versa.
DAC (Direct Attach Cable): Consists of copper cables with integrated transceivers. It transmits electrical signals directly without converting them to optical signals.
Distance
AOC: Suitable for longer distances, typically up to 100 meters or more, depending on the specific type and application.
DAC: Generally effective for shorter distances, usually up to 7 meters, making it ideal for short interconnections within racks or between adjacent equipment.

Weight and Flexibility
AOC: Generally lighter and more flexible than DAC because of the fiber optic construction, which can make installation easier in tight spaces.
DAC: Heavier due to the copper construction, which can be less flexible and more cumbersome in some installations.
Cost
AOC: Typically more expensive than DAC due to the complexity of optical components.
DAC: Usually more cost-effective for short-distance connections due to simpler technology.

Use Cases
AOC: Preferred for longer connections in data centers, high-speed networking, or any application requiring long-distance data transmission.
DAC: Commonly used for short links between servers, switches, and storage devices within the same rack or nearby racks.
Summary
AOC is better for longer distances and high-speed applications, while DAC is a cost-effective solution for short-distance connections. Your choice depends on your specific requirements regarding distance, speed, weight, and budget.

You people are depressingly stupid. I don't even understand the point you think you're making here. Why wouldn't the same people who go to BLM, pro-Harris, pro-Palestine, and antifa events also go to Bernie Sanders and AoC rallies???? All of those are leftist or left-adjacent causes. Must be the illuminati, though.
I was just at the Bernie & AOC rally in Denver and there were easily 30,000 people there. Thousands of us couldn’t even get into the fenced area and stood outside of it, listening to the speakers and watching a live stream.
We’re out here and there are a lot of us.

Age of calamity Link for the non canon Links? Please include him I love that man. Or not, he might be too similar to canon botw Link.
Even if there was room left I'm not entirely sure if AoC has been confirmed non-canon (one can assume, but still). If you want to vote for a BOTW adjacent Link please give your love to the Smash Bros Trio! :]

How easy or hard was it to come up with both Sheik’s design, as well as his story?
A little adjacent to that, how devoted to canon are you when you create AUs and OCs? (specifically Sheik’s AU) Are you very dedicated to making all of your added and custom ideas fit in nicely with the canon plot/characters, or are you more free with what you change?
coming up with his design was pretty easy as far as I remember. it was kind of just living in my head for a little bit before I first drew him. (fun fact, I was originally thinking about giving him a hat like young impa's in aoc but I decided against it. I wanted him to stand out from the other sheikah but that would. probably be a bit much since he's really just Some Guy.)
the story was a bit harder I think. I found myself going back and forth between things like whether or not he actually lived with paya and Impa or if he was just kind of a close friend to paya. and I also couldn't decide his gender for a bit at first djhsjfksjfk. I mostly struggled with his relationship with impa and paya mostly because I didn't want him to seem like some Mary Sue or something but now I don't really care and they're a happy family who all love each other 💖
for champion's shadow it's mostly gonna be canon compliant. I was more interested in the character building than the world building for this one. there are points where canon has been a bit bent of course, I want it to be at least a little interesting. but generally I kind of like making things fit neatly, or neatly enough that you can suspend your disbelief. there are also aus for this au that are pretty much completely separate from canon botw but those are mostly just one off thoughts I've had and haven't really developed.
