Azula in Fandom
I really did love Azula. She's one of the most fascinating characters in ATLA: brilliant, terrifying, powerful, tragic, and deeply flawed. I loved that the show let her be complicated without ever pretending she wasnât dangerous.
And I still love her, but honestly, some parts of the fandom have made it harder. Watching people erase her harm, excuse everything she did, or attack others for acknowledging her complexity doesnât make her look better, it just makes real conversations about her impossible. Azula was compelling because she was broken, cruel, vulnerable, and human all at once.
Flattening her into a untouchable girlboss or a misunderstood victim that just wanted the best doesn't honor that story, it kinda cheapens it.
Iâm still rooting for her character, and I always will be. But if I'm honest, it feels like my love for her has faded a little, not because of who she is, but because of how some of her fans behave (NOT ALL FANS, by no means all fans, but a loud enough *few* who excuse abuse, downplay harm, and treat disagreements about her online like I just killed their puppy in front of their eyes).
It's just kinda sad seeing something I cared about get twisted into something uglier  ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
#azula critical#atla#atla fandom critical#avatar the last airbender#low-key didn't wanna tag this#considering the loud few I mentioned earlier#and the fact that I have shit to do besides writing for funsies on Tumblr now that I've procrastinated on my AP studying this long#but fuck it we ball#speaking of AP tho if anyone knows any study resources for AP Chem lmk pls#AND if anyone knows anything for multivariable calculus PLEASE suggest stuff#I hate both of those classes with a burning passion#but anyway I digress#nobody show up and and be mean to me because of this post#or I'll post another anti-bullying draft I have saved#this is a threat#to that rando who said that I didn't get bullied enough as a child I hope you stub your pinkie toe on every corner you turn for a decade#which is what I would say if I was a bully#but I am not so I wish you great prosperity in your work and for you one day find peace that isn't reliant upon online harrassment#<3#remember when we had anti-bullying assemblies in school? some of you took âdon't be a monsterâ personally and decided it was a challenge#wow I think the tags are longer than the post but oh well its cheaper than going to therapy again

#boycritter et al#ap credit cant be used to satisfy gen ed requirements OR division requirements#so like??? what can it be used for???#it seems like it mostly lets you take more advanced classes right away instead of the intro classes?#bc i can get up to 8 classes worth of credits from my ap scores#but seemingly it doesnt get satisfy any of the degree requirements???#and like. i need xxx credits to graduate. and i can get xx of those from ap tests. allegedly. but i still need to take a full course load??#wait. division requirements are a different thing from major requirements. i think.#but still.#guys im so confused. can colleges make things easy.#also on some parts of their website they say ap scores can be used for gen ed requirements and on other parts they say otherwise#guys if i took 12 ap classes and all thats good for is getting me out of INTRO TO CALCULUS im going to be so pissed actually

Bruh I'm apparently a straight A college student so far
#I didn't even realize it#so I've taken#oh I've taken more classes than I thought#okay so I took two dual enrollment courses in highschool along with some AP courses#with the DE- it's through the local community college- so it directly transfers (as I am now attending the local cc)#it was only two highschool courses- but it counts as four total courses for college (2 semesters for each class)#so technically as far as the college is concerned- that's four total classes (college English 1&2- and a government course 1&2)#each was 3 college credits so 12 total#anyways that's four classes right there#and I managed to get at least an A- each semester (kinda had to drag myself through my Gov class)#and then I've taken 2 courses while actually attending the community college#and they were super easy (a required college skills course and a music history course)#so yeah#6 total courses#and I'm somehow still a straight A student#this will almost certainly change when I have to take Calculus and Chemistry in the fall lol#my dad even said he won't really be able to help me :')#I'm so screwed man I'm gonna be at tutoring 24/7

Semester Two Reset đ
hello angels-
after having worked so hard for the past few weeks to end the first semester strong, it is so important to remember that we now need to prepare ourselves to start second semester correctly
I try to make sure I feel:
motivated, organized, rejuvenated, and optimistic before the new school term ahead
In order to feel like my best self next Monday, here is my semester two weekend reset checklist <3
- clean your room (it seems daunting but just do it area by area; you will feel so good) also, make sure you are up to date on your laundry
- organize your folders/binder and remove your semester one papers
- reflect on your note-taking methods from semester one, are there are any classes you want to switch methods for second semester? for me, I am going to switch to handwriting my apush notes and typing my ap micro notes!
- are there any subjects or units you didnât understand and/or do a good job learning this semester? go catch up on those
- email clean out
- make sure your calendar is up to date
- make sure your tote bag/backpack is clean and organized
- restock your pencil case, emergency pouch, etc
- charge every device
- close all your laptop tabs and organize your docs/word
youâve got this. make the beginning of the second semester feel as exciting and comforting as the beginning of the school year
reminder school is for you to l.e.a.r.n., if you are going to spend seven hours of your day there, you should not simply be there to get good grades, but to absorb the material and get good grades as a result. you are fortunate you get to spend your day learning about the world. if you treat learning as interesting, school will be fun đ«¶
best of luck,
A

I can't answer this one because I more or less liked them equally. If you included PE, I could've answered but I was pretty good at all the academic subjects.
(Well if you listed performing art separate from visual art, I could say performing art because of how my high school set up chorus and band which resulted me in quitting. But I chose to do visual art electives and enjoyed them a lot.)
Not giving more subjects because I want to know between the compulsory ones. And I'm not including PE because I have a feeling it would win very easily.
Also, before anyone mentions, I am aware that this poll is based off of the American school system and is not universal. But even if your school system did not work like this, pick a subject you didn't like that's on that list
#also the class i struggled with the most in my senior year was a combined AP Physics and Calculus#and math and science are different options in this poll
