also while I'm on this tangent and because I saw someone get a hate anon about this today:

you are not obligated to turn your personal internet spaces into a public bulletin board.

if I was painting a decorative mural on a wall and someone came up and told me, "that's a waste of space! we should cover that wall with posters that raise awareness of [insert activism cause of the day]!" it would not matter if I agreed with their cause. I would tell them to find a different wall to hang posters on. Spaces for spreading current issues should exist and people are welcome to make them. But we do not have to cover every wall in the world in posters. It is also valuable for people to be able to walk past a mural and feel uplifted and like their community is creative and vibrant.

you do not owe anyone your spaces, even if you agree with their cause. you do not owe anyone space on your blog. if you want to make a bulletin board, all power to you. but there is no cause so worthy that it should be used to guilt people into giving up their personal spaces.

One: the fact that Wukong is so many times immortal, and was so afraid of mortality he kept reaching and reaching for more sources of immortality, but he still didn't think he would live this long drives me insane. He's so paranoid of death yet he's also afraid of life. Get my mans some help.

Two: I always find this line one of the most damning pieces of evidence that he knew about MK's identity the whole time. Cause it's like...this is his apology, where he's explaining himself and his downfalls, and he makes it a point to explain to MK that he never planned to have a successor. Which, this directly contradicts everything he says to MK in AHIB, and he's practically admitting that he never wanted to be a mentor. This wasn't something he was ready for. And truthfully, I think that adds to MK's s4 questions/confusion and purposeful denial about what he is. Deep down MK already knows that Wukong couldn't have chosen anyone else to be a successor, and he knows Wukong was never looking for one. And I think it all starts right here, with Wukong implying it

Is it wrong that sometimes I get mad at people with service dogs?

Now, I know that sounds really wrong, but hear me out before you judge me.

There are all those videos online of dogs attacking service dogs, and that is really messed up to have an unleashed dog that can’t control themselves, but there are also other videos. Videos where a kid is like “oh look a dog!” and doesn’t even reach out to pet it, but the person still yells at them, or the old lady who’s really trying to pull her little tiny dog away from the service dog + person, but just can’t and she’s getting yelled at. There’s also the videos of people’s dogs minding their own business, and just like looking over at the dog and walking along, but they’ve somehow done something to get yelled at, and the worst one where a guy accidentally drops his dogs leash, and is scrambling to get it, but his dog goes over to the service dog to meet them, and he’s still trying to pull his dog away, but he’s getting yelled at too.

I mean, I get that you have to control a dog, but even a well trained dog can still fuck up.

But anyway, I think the worst thing is always the people who are rude for no reason. Someone pointing out a dog doesn’t deserve to be berated. Neither does a group of kids who asks politely to pet the dog, and the person says no, and they go away. The little caption thing is always saying “don’t teach your kids to be bad people like these ones”, but they were polite, and didn’t even touch the dog because the owner said no. Those are the worst ones.

Does this make me a bad person?

Because people need service dogs for valid reasons, and I feel bad for being annoyed sometimes at certain service dog accounts on socials.

I dunno, I feel bad, but I kinda feel like those feelings are valid sometimes?

The variety on display here??? The setting?? OUGH IT'S SO GOOD. I love how all of these guys are written, flaws and all. And those flaws? Are so well handled. Every character on here has some good meat on their bones and it's so good to see what happens when it's cut into and seeing how things play out with a certain character. These guys have so many problems and it's so dang good to see.

Honestly, a lot of that I feel is thanks to the rp environment on here! There's plenty of little moments with such a wide variety of people that really help you get to the layers of your character, be it thru ic or ooc.

Like, I really hadn't expected Ophelia to be such a silly girly that she ended up turning out to be— she was intended to be much more somber initially before i wrote her with others (and MAN how grateful i am for that, she's a lot more fun now i feel)

sometimes i see people in the rpc say " oh i just don't see my muse interacting with that many female characters " and i am so very tempted to ask them why that is. why wouldn't your muse talk to 50% of the fucking population. because like 2% of the time there's an actual valid reason ( you're rping a character from an extremely male-heavy cast, your character is specifically in a situation where they would not be around women ) and the other 98% it's just misogyny. idk i just think if you have an aversion to literally every female character in a given media then maybe it's a you problem.

At the end of the day, cWilbur's ending was incredibly disappointing for me. It might have been in character for him to be self centered even as he's apologizing for his behavior, but watching him Leave was just so representative of how at the end of the day, he couldn't change. He couldn't face up to his mistakes Truly For Real. He couldn't grow up and be the person he Needed to be. And maybe that's in character. But its not character growth, which is what I wanted from him. cRevivebur tried to paint himself in a good light, sidestepped all the problems he created, and just. found another way to escape the narrative.
