i read crit theory for fun, i write rabbit-hole analyses of miniscule moments in performance, i care about my first-years so much--and i'm starting to think that maybe academia does not love me back. maybe there's nothing i could give it that would be Enough. maybe the academy would rather i ground myself to dust than give me one (1) thing. maybe i should start looking at non-ac jobs.

thank you to the lovely kind person who sent this... i got distracted from answering it... but i appreciate it despite my lateness <33

so many of my wips are like. i read a post -> idea -> haze where i bash out ~500 words. and then i forget to actually develop that snippet into a full idea. which drives me up the wall

but right now!! i am working on a platonic bluedam fic set in bllb area. which i HOPE to have out tomorrow but i'm so inconsistent so we'll see. i like writing them full of hope and yearning but i think i need to go back and re-write them a little meaner they're too nice right now.

i want to write more adansey.... typical me... i'm writing this au where post-trk adam and gansey end up being like telepathically linked because of the cabeswater deal & gansey being made up of cabeswater now. it's very much a vibes based thing (much like the 'magic system' in trc. haha.) and they want each other so bad obviously.

often when i write a specific pairing it's like. yeah focused on that pairing but it's not incompatible with polycule gangsey because i am a believer. so really many of my fics could be that but I don't tend to write them together all at once because i get overwhelmed with so many characters. ensemble casts are my troublesome friend.

i also want to do some more whump stuff like what i used to write a couple years ago that shit was sooo fun. it does feel gratuitous and indulgent but hey. it is fanfiction. come on.
