YO YONDER I just wanted to let you know that I think you're doing a stellar job of showing Asami coming to terms with and working through her conflicted feelings now that she's out of that abusive relationship with fishface! I'm also just really proud of how far you've come with your plot and even though this blog is ending (and I'm sad about that) I'm just??? So happy for you!

Flara: My my my, what a curious forest you have here. I can hear the trees whispering, and it feels almost... alive. What do you know of this forest, and are you the cause of its strange atmosphere?

Paralyzed by fear once more, the Mimikyu hones in on her peculiar guest. Another Outsider. The malicious intent radiating off the serpentine crown filled her lungs and choked her. The Judge couldn’t even muster the strength to scream for help.

“....!!”

“That’s the third time, Judge.”

“Out of my forest, Witch.”

A snap of the fingers. A cool, refreshing breeze washes over the forest, painting everything in a new light. The Ninetales with fur blacker than night vanished...

Flara @ Velvett: It's lovely to meet another witch, fufufu, but I must admit, I'm shocked that another witch would align herself with a coven. Our kind are so usually alone, at least in my homeland. -she takes a thoughtful pause- So tell me, what exactly *is* this coven? What are the benefits of belonging?

Watching Bladesong and Chimera proved to be far more entertaining than I first anticipated. How they frequently twisted and turned to further inspect their reflections in the water, it’s almost adorable.

A strong sense of smugness fills my being due to this, since this further shows how excellent I am at my craft~ Yet this feeling left as quickly as it came, for the voice of another newcomer draws away my attention away from the two individuals.

When I turn to see who this new visitor is, I found myself blinking several times in stunned silence…

When I recollected my thoughts? A smirk forms on my lips.

Although I’ve encountered a few Ninetales in the past, it’s definitely a first to see one with a coat as black as hers. Her accessories are also an eye-catcher, quite exotic~

Yet as much of an attention-grabber her appearance is, her words are another story entirely - or more specifically, her implication that she’s a witch herself.

Oh my, the surprises just keep on coming~

“It’s a pleasant revelation for I as well to encounter another witch, especially one I'm not familiar with~” I say, turning my head slightly to the side. 

When she finishes her inquiries, I scratch my chin with a red claw. “Curious of the Star Coven, hmm? You’re not the first to ask me about them~” I let out a snicker. “Nor will you be the last, I feel.”

Placing a hand on my hip, I continue. “Although many witches tend to live a solitary life, the Star Coven offers many benefits to those who fit their requirements~” I pause briefly. “In fact? If it weren’t for me encountering them, I never would’ve become a witch to begin with. Those who meet their specifications would be accepted wholeheartedly, and thus will be taught to tap into their essence to weave spells and charms that are unique only to them~”

“Yet that comes down to what the Star Coven looks in others, which I assume you’re curious of~” I grin. The smile didn’t last for long though, for my expression grows thoughtful as I recall the information. “I’ve told this to an individual recently, actually. The requirements to join the Star Coven are surprisingly few, although very specific. The biggest one is also the identity of the Star Coven, which is you must be a Delphox who's also a hybrid of that of another creature.”

I shake my head, letting out a quiet chuckle. “There are reasons behind it of course. We of the Star Coven compose of witches who draw power from our genes, using it to shape our magic. This of course leaves us very specialized, but our power in our specific field is very great.” My gaze drifts away from the Ninetales, focusing on the pool of water not far from us. “This sort of magic requires mixed genes that only a hybrid possesses, yet only Delphox possess this magic to begin with. This is why the requirement exists, to create a coven of witches who draw power from their genes as well as train fledgling witches - so that they may harness magic that is unique due to their identity alone~”

I tap my head with a claw. “Such an example would be myself, for my magic specializes in illusions due to my Zoroark genes. My illusions weaved through magic are far stronger than that of those conjured from natural power, for they not only fool sight, but also smell and touch~” A small wisp of black flame manifests on the tip of one of my claws. The fire burning brilliantly, yet it dissipates a few moments later when I cease feeding it my power. “If I were to shroud myself with an illusion of a Garchomp, those touching my skin would receive a sensation you’d expect from rough skin - what one would anticipate when touching such a Dragon.”

I shake my head, realizing that I may be rambling. “Of course that is but one of many things that I’m capable of, but that is a conversation that would take the entirety of both of our days.” I snicker. “However to summarize my answer, the Star Coven is comprised entirely of Delphox hybrids. We aim to seek out other potential witches who would benefit greatly to learn to tap into their inner-magic, so that they may shape it to further enhance the powers that’s gifted from their genes. What we use said power for however...” I quiet snort escapes me. “It all depends on the individual, but most cases we tend to offer our magic to others as services - for a price of course~” I follow this with a wink.

“Now as much as I enjoy talking about myself, I’m more interested in you.” I gesture to her with an open palm. “I can confidently assume that you’re not from around here, so that would also mean that your power differs greatly from mine~ Witches are known for the versatility and variety of their craft, each one wielding power that’s differs greatly from the next~” I let out a loud laugh. “I can’t even begin to fathom the identity of your power. However...” I look back at her, my eyes glittering. “If you’re willing to part with such information, I’d be more than interested to hear~”

Remembering that I’ve been negligent on proper edicate, I snicker again. “And of course so that you don’t need to refer to me as ‘another witch’ in the future, you may call me Velvett.”

Flara is woken from a strange dream, only to find Moony in a trance-like state.

Moony reveals his prophecy: In three days the Boy King will come to call. Herald of the North Wind, he will sing of her arrival. Then she shall come on cold winds, a final warning to tide her parting. When the moon burns red, The Usurper shall open the Gates to take his place on Hell’s Eternal Thone--

With the coming dawn, Moony leaves the forest on a mission.

Days one and two pass without incident.

Flara falls under a magic anon that reveals her form without melanism. Day Three has begun. The rainy season has finally arrived on Ishbael.

It’s been an entire year since the very first post on this blog

I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of something in my life than this blog

This community has changed my life in so many wonderful ways

When I first began askinsomniacariados, I was in a really bad place

I was lost and lonely at a time life wouldn’t give me a break

And who knows what I’d be doing if I hadn’t found @askarkani

I owe my entire place here to cactus inspiring me to join this community

I might have never met some of the amazing people I know today

A lot of blogs that I still love have come and gone

Some are still here today, and I am eternally grateful for them

Not just for keeping me coming back to this place

But for being some of the greatest people I’ve ever known

And who’s friendship and presence I cherish with all my heart

This year has been one of my greatest trials, but also one of my greatest gifts

So, sincerely, thank every one of you, and especially these people!
