There's a flavor of whump I'm always craving that I don't see very often, I think because the possibilities are so context-specific. You can do some things in some universes that you can't in others! You can do certain things with non-human characters that you can't with others!
But hear me out:
Whumper making physiological changes to Whumpee's body.
Could be through programming for robot characters, dedicated brainwashing for humans, magic for fantasy settings, weird biology for aliens...
A few examples off the top of my head:
Alien species that instinctively responds to neck squeezing by going limp like a scruffed kitten, because this helped them survive encounters with predators. Delicious all on its own -- now throw in a quick surgery to permanently clamp the nerve responsible. Whumpee wakes up in a permanent state of relaxed submission and can't even show how terrified they are.
Obedience programming/training that's wired directly into a character's brain. When the system detects unwanted thoughts, it applies pain. Even after rescue, Whumpee can't think of themselves as an autonomous being because their mind is desperately protecting itself.
Characters with magic having their magic corrupted or bound so it either hurts them to use, or it can only be used to serve Whumper's purposes. Bonus points if Whumper has full control over their magic AND the use of it hurts them.
Characters given a brain implant or parasite that stimulates the reward center of the brain, which would be great, except they can't turn it off. They're kept in a constant state of bleary euphoria... with just enough sense of self left to know they want it to stop.
Characters being spelled or programmed so they physically cannot function independently. Characters who very literally NEED to be given permission to do things like relax or take a walk or even use the bathroom. Not being given this permission leaves them in a state of locked stasis -- fully aware of the time passing. Bonus: Caretaker can't reverse it, so they just HAVE to navigate All Of This.
Alien species that will a develop chronic physical illness if deprived of touch for too long. Said illness can only be treated through regular physical touch. Defiant Whumpees will often be locked in solitary confinement and fed through a slot in the bars until symptoms start to manifest. Sometimes they'll be left even longer, to make sure they end up a severe case. And now, oopsie, the only way to ease this horrible pain is by letting your captors put their hands on you!
Just. Physiological whump. The horror of someone else controlling your body or your mind. Betrayal of body. Etc. Do you understand.

I love your headcanons!!! Do you think that with Fawcett being a time bubble and magical influence and when new technology is introduced to the city that it changes? Like the engineers study magic as well due to the proximity to the Rock of Eternity? I'd imagine like perpetual motion machines do exist and parts of the plumbing system are fantastical magic animals. Like the old telephone wires are autonomous snake-like entities that Marvel has to untangle sometimes. (They do get tangled up). It's all very surreal and dream logic stuff.
I would love to see what's under the hoods of their cars. Do they run on pixie dust or dragon tears? Are there small sprites keeping it all together?
Iāve actually never really thought about this but here are some ideas! I think they would study magic when getting engineering degrees cause Iām pretty sure theyād just think of it as apart of engineering maybe. Like for example, when building houses theyād make fairy doors in certain places. I also think that instead of Lightbulbs for street lamps they hire fairies every night to make themselves light up. They get payed in pretty stones. Detectives can hire ghosts to help solve crimes. I think their cars run on either, but theyād be higher quality gas so most people would use normal gas. I also think there would be lawyers who work specifically with cases about fae. Thereās gonna be lawyers to get that first born back. People might use magical herbs in everyday cooking too. Like someone might get a dried leaf called mystic petals because when ground up, they taste similar to sugar. (The plant makes hair, skin, and eye color more vibrant) One of the teachers at an elementary school is a Lich that has nothing better to do but teach. Or a Centaur works as a PE teacher. I also think that Fawcett could be so affected by magic that the buildings and sidewalks could be sentient. Like a little kidās about to trip on a crack and the pavement moves the crack out of the way. Or someone whoās vandalizing a building gets hit in the face when the building pushes a brick out. Certain roads seal up their potholes, and maybe Billy is running down an alley being chased or something and the alley walls close up behind him cutting his pursuers off. The flowers grow all year around in a certain part of a city, it could be hot all the time in another, it could snow frequently in another, and trees could start turning orange and letting leaves fall in another because of the presence of spring, summer, fall, and winter fairies who split Fawcett up into small kingdoms. Billy oversees their diplomatic affairs. You find Santa at the grocery store buying cookie mix because āitās cheaper here than at the North Poleā. The Spirit of Halloween would start pestering people in beginning of September to put up their Halloween decorations. The Easter Bunny would be a local attraction to go see, as it would be in a meadow every Easter making eggs and giving them to other bunnies to go hide. You can go to a small place on 45th, where you can order from fairies who make sandwiches and soups using traditional fairy recipes and herbs. Or a small stand ran by orcs who sell Owlbear on a stick and roasted Blood Hawk legs. There could be a pair of yetis who sell snow cones using snow from the Himalayas. They have human flavors like grape, and yeti flavors using fruits grown from their tribes. When zombies crawl out of their grave, thereās insurance for both the damage to the coffins and the ruined grave and for people who get bitten. Doctors tweaked the polio vaccine for zombification. Wind elementals help people they favor when they fall. Water elementals help move snow from roads. Earth elementals help with construction. Fire elementals help melt down metals for jewelry stores and factories. Harpies sing for crowds. Gelatinous Cubes can be used as lubricants for machinery and extremely strong glues. I also think the rock messed with time. There are dinosaurs displayed at the zoo. Certain buildings look like theyāre from different eras. Gothic architecture, favored by vampires. Victorian architecture. Neoclassical architecture. Also there are wyvern. Though theyāre all the size of vultures. Theyād have multiple different scale colors which have been made into jewelry or bags. The "Big Beautiful Bill" will fund ICE as a private military force which is already grabbing Americans off the streets.
This bill currently in senate will fund a private military force and genocide:
At the heart of the bill is $29.85 billion in funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), designated to remain available through 2029. The funds cover large-scale personnel expansion, new deportation infrastructure, and digital enforcement technology.
According to the legislative text, ICE is appropriated ā$29,850,000,000...to remain available until September 30, 2029ā (p. 904).
But ICE is just one piece of the package. When combined with new appropriations for Customs and Border Protection (CBP), immigration courts, detention expansion, and state-level border assistance, the billās immigration enforcement budget totals approximately $175.155 billion. According to the legislative text of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the following immigration-related funding appear across multiple sections of the bill:U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is appropriated $29.85 billion āto remain available until September 30, 2029,ā for hiring 8,500 new enforcement officers and expanding deportation operations. The funding appears on page 826 of the PDF. An additional $45 billion is set aside for expanding ICE detention capacity, including āsingle adult and family residential center beds,ā as outlined on page 827. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) receives $46.55 billion for physical border infrastructure, including āconstructing tactical infrastructure and physical barriers,ā found on page 824. CBP is granted another $12.007 billion to hire new Border Patrol agents, provide signing and relocation bonuses, purchase vehicles, and upgrade facilities. This funding is detailed on page 825. The bill dedicates $6.168 billion to modern surveillance, biometric, and screening technologies at the border, including āautonomous surveillance towersā and āartificial intelligence for threat detection.ā This provision appears on page 828. A newly established State Border Security Reinforcement Fund is appropriated $10 billion to reimburse states for building their own wall systems, transporting migrants, and operating checkpoints. This is outlined on page 832. Separately, Section 70605 of the bill imposes a 1% federal excise tax on cash-based international remittance transfers, which applies to any funds sent outside the U.S. via money orders, cash, or cashierās checks. This section spans pages 613 to 615. Originally, it was 30%, then 5%, then 3%, and now 1%.
Massive ICE Buildout and Bonuses
ICE alone would be authorized to hire ānot fewer than 8,500 additional officers and agentsā plus over 2,000 attorneys and support staff (p. 905). To support recruitment and retention:Signing bonuses of up to $20,000 are offered to new ICE hires who commit to five years of service (p. 906). Retention bonuses of up to $15,000 annually are available in āhigh-attrition field offices.ā ICE agents may now qualify for law enforcement availability pay (LEAP) and 10% premium overtime.
Over $5.2 billion is allocated for infrastructure modernization, including $1.25 billion for new detention facilities and $2.5 billion for artificial intelligence, biometric data systems, and digital case tracking (pp. 907ā908).

scents and pheromones
pt 1: a brief exploration of their physiology and function in early humans
along with reproductive cycles and mating bonds, a heightened sense for interpreting scents and pheromones is a pillar of the omegaverse. this series uses language that describes scents in a way that we can understand, but the effort to describe scents/pheromones in reality is much like an effort to describe the color red to someone whoās never seen it. āitās like orange but warmer and darkerā might bring someone to red, but it could also bring them to brown depending on their perspective. scents are similarly intangible, and the descriptors used in this series are an abstraction rather than a one-to-one concrete description.
how do scents and pheromones work?
in the omegaverse, humans have glands which produce their individual scent. the scent carries the pheromones most frequently related to emotional state. messages from the scent glands are picked up by the vomeronasal organ (VNO), which is a paired organ located on either side of the septum, near the nasopharynx. the VNO receives pheromonal messages and sends appropriate responses to the brain. as a part of the autonomic nervous system, the VNO functions unconsciously.
these scent glands and chemoreceptors evolved before humans developed language in order to communicate basic messages and strengthen pack bonds and cooperation. they alerted the pack to a danger detected by a scout; demarcated the boundaries of nomadic packsā claimed territory, preventing needless interpack conflict; and signaled pack membersā emotional or physical distress, creating opportunities for packmates to offer assistance or comfort. they also gave basic information about an individualās age, primary (alpha, beta, omega) and secondary sex, and their mating status.
study of early human remains has shown that betas tended to have larger scent glands which would create a stronger scent that traveled further and lingered longer. this would have supported their function as scouts for a pack. complementarily, early omegas had larger VNOs, which would have allowed them to better detect both pack scents and messages from beta scouts. after humans developed agriculture, betasā strong, lingering scents were no longer necessary, and natural selection gravitated toward milder scents. omegasā large VNOs, however, still had purpose and function.
as agriculture developed and settlements became safer, pups gained independence. they were expected to help tend the packās fields and animals, and their play extended to the settlementās full physical boundary rather than the small territory a nomadic pack might claim for themselves. they often wandered without supervision, and omegasā larger VNOs, paired with their strong āprotect pupsā instinct, allowed them to track missing pups more efficiently than any of the other sexes.

Xisuma
Or, to be precise - XI-class SUit for Minimal Atmosphere: Void-specialized. This particular model isn't in common use anymore, but they used to be the state of the art exosuits used for doing any sort of Void research. Each comes equipped with a variety of scanners that can be swapped in and out depending on the work being done, and a small suite of monitors to keep tabs on the health of the wearer in such a dangerous environment. Both the Space and Void models are built to contain large pressure differentials between inside and outside in order to keep the recycling air around the wearer at a bearable atmospheric pressure. They also have contained propulsion systems, with a main thruster in the back like a jetpack and steering thrusters in the elbows. The suits have a small camera situated just above the visor, meant to transmit visuals to crew, and a set of microphones and speakers that can either transmit sound directly within the helmet or detect and broadcast in both directions as if nothing is obstructing the sound. They're quite a complex technology.
They aren't typically sentient though.
This particular XISuMA was mid-mission when it happened. Deep in the Void, the researcher was supposed to be protected by the suit. Protected from the usual causes of death, yes - but on the rare occasion that the Void "chooses" someone to affect more deeply, an exosuit, apparently, won't save their humanity.
X never knew his researcher, really. His first moments of consciousness came moments after the researcher... vanished. As far as X knows, that person must have simply been absorbed, near-instantly, into the Void, and at the same time the Void granted him consciousness and the immediate sense that he was designed to Protect - and that something had gone very wrong. For a while, that was mostly all he knew. To even find out what he was, and find his name, he had to research his model and eavesdrop on the rest of the crew (most of whom were now grieving, and understandably a little freaked out by one of their exosuits moving autonomously in place of their lost friend). Since then, his model has been retired, and although the reason was largely due to other advances in technology, X sometimes can't shake the feeling that it was at least a little bit due to that incident. Not much is known about Voidlings, and even less was known at the time, so X still believes that what happened to him and to his researcher were connected, simultaneous, but separate, events.
It hasn't occurred to him how unusual it is that the Void, not known for its material form or ability to communicate, could grant a formerly inanimate object the immediate ability to walk and talk. Nor has he looked deeply into how his sentience and his researcher's disappearance were clearly connected events, and whether one might have led directly into the other.
Maybe a voidsuit would automatically try to filter voidstuff out of itself, thereby instead pulling the voidstuff through its own systems and catching it there. Maybe the Void itself, knowing little of the world above, saw the suit and the man as one being, and simply made it so.
The mind and name of that original researcher have, indeed, disappeared. But his soul lives - in the suit he once wore.
I got too into the flow and Drama of this to have a decent place to put this last tidbit but Xisuma has since then made a number of upgrades to himself - not the least of which being a rear-projection of a (usually-)human face on the inside of his visor, for approachability. He's tinkered with other things, too, which is where the mob suit modifications come from, and how much of his Player and admin tools have been installed.

Paranoid's "Quirk"!
Name: Life Support (āAutonomic Nervous Systemā by Paranoid)
Basic Concept: Can keep their body working even when it doesnāt want to
Functionality: Basically the āHeart, Lungs, Liver, Nervesā scenario but for anything and everything. Say if one of Quinnās organs is failing. Paranoid can concentrate and make sure it continues to function, even if it would make no logical sense (say for example their lung is filling with blood, Para can make sure they can still breathe regardless of the blood currently clogging up the organ). Similarly, Paranoid can kick an organ into overdrive so that Quinn can run longer/work harder/have stronger stamina. Plus, being so in tune with the inner-workings of the body, Paranoid is pretty much always the first to instantly know when Quinn is sick/something is wrong (though he can only detect symptoms and does have a very hypochondriac habit of assuming the worst from them)
Limitations: Obviously concentration is a really big thing. Just like in the Nightmare route, if Paranoid stops to talk or is distracted by someone/something, whatever he was working on will instantly return to its prior state. His power also canāt be spread too thin depending on the situation. Again using the lung failure as an example, since that is a lethal kind of organ failure, he canāt offer any extra assistance to any other body parts, so if for some reason Quinnās heart is also stalling, heās gonna have to pick which of the two is more important for survival for he absolutely canāt do both, itās too much work. (The whole Nightmare situation is a special case where the organs are being shut down by magical means, so it's different.) The other boys can also do this power to an extent, though itās much less effective as theyāre all very bad at it in comparison to Para (think Hero doing the chant LMAO)

Demon slayer-demon semen HC plus why they horny-with some science
Yes I am going there because in all my fanction, demons prey on women and make babies. So demon reproduction head canons with a bit of science:
Higher Viscosity & Volume
Thicker and more gelatinous than human semen.
Likely due to elevated protein content or regenerative enzymes.
Greater volume per ejaculation due to enhanced demon stamina and reproductive intent.
Delayed Drainage
Remains in the vaginal canal longer than human semen as due its viscosity is slower to drain (or the ass if it went in there).
Leads to ongoing physical discomfort or the sensation of "leakage" over a day or so.
May be biologically engineered to maximize chances of impregnation by remaining near the cervix longer-even though they often can't reproduce-but evolution trying to do something.
Enhanced Sperm Motility & Regeneration Speed
Sperm cells regenerate rapidly or resist degradation.
Outpaces human ovum response time, potentially leading to abnormal pregnancies or miscarriage.
Conflicts between rapid demon cellular activity and slower human reproductive cycles may explain fetal degeneration or stillbirths.
Hybridization Instability
Genetic incompatibility often leads to failed pregnancies.
Human ova cannot always withstand or match the regenerative drive of demon sperm.
Successful births (human or demon) are rare and usually the result of ideal genetic compatibility.

Demon regeneration stems from a core cellular network tied to Muzanās blood and the demonās internal system.
Sperm, once ejaculated, are cut off from the regenerative "field" that sustains full demon cells.
Without that connection, they retain only a short autonomous lifespan ā slightly longer than human sperm (perhaps 7ā10 days in utero) but still finite.
Demon sperm are biologically foreign, containing demonic proteins and regenerative enzymes.
The human uterus detects them as a threat and launches a localized immune response, releasing macrophages and cytokines to break them down.
This āsilent immune warā may delay conception or kill off sperm prematurely unless the woman has:
A weakened immune system, or
Genetic compatibility with demon cells.
Alright the science behind why the demons are all horny and rapey-despite the socials factors of demon society:

Demons donāt age, so they never experience fertility decline.
Their bodies are permanently āyoung adult prime,ā meaning:

No erectile fatigue

Effect: Near-limitless capacity to have sex and impregnate.
Muzanās blood (or a derivative in all demons) doesnāt just turn them into fighters ā it heightens core instincts.
Feeding. Dominating. Reproducing.
These instincts are heightened further by status and strength ā higher-ranked demons have more overwhelming urges due to more demon blood saturation.
Effect: Stronger demons = stronger libido. ( May god help you with a Kizuki).
Psychological Addiction to Sensation
Demons feel pleasure more acutely than humans due to their neural regeneration and enhanced sensory systems.
Sex, touch, taste ā all these sensations are sharper.
Many develop fetishes or obsessions due to the addictive strength of pleasure.
This also explains why many demons become possessive lovers. (why I put obsessive behaviours between demons in my fanfictions when they take a fancy to someone).

The evolutionary adaptation of the human body to the climate change is ficking fascinating and should be studied. Here is what has presumably happened today:

A University of Nebraska-Lincoln engineering team is another step closer to developing soft robotics and wearable systems that mimic the ability of human and plant skin to detect and self-heal injuries. Engineer Eric Markvicka, along with graduate students Ethan Krings and Patrick McManigal, recently presented a paper at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Atlanta, Georgia, that sets forth a systems-level approach for a soft robotics technology that can identify damage from a puncture or extreme pressure, pinpoint its location and autonomously initiate self-repair. The paper was among the 39 of 1,606 submissions selected as an ICRA 2025 Best Paper Award finalist. It was also a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award and in the mechanism and design category.
