Strong Passwords: 10 Golden Rules for Online Security
In the grand architecture of our digital lives, passwords are the keys to every door. They guard our most sensitive information: our emails, bank accounts, social media profiles, and private photos. Yet, for something so critical, they are often treated as a trivial afterthought. We use our pet’s name, our birthday, or the classic “Password123,” leaving these vital doors unlocked and wide open…

Someone accessed my Gmail 2 days ago, compromising my linked accounts like Twitter and YouTube. Here's how it happened, why I fell for it, and what you can learn to avoid making the same mistake:
Tumblr media
The scam I fell victim to was a cookie hijack. The hacker used malicious software to steal my browser cookies (stuff like autofill, auto sign in, etc), allowing them to sign in to my Gmail and other accounts, completely bypassing my 2FA and other security protocols.
A few days ago, I received a DM from @Rachael_Borrows, who claimed to be a manager at @Duolingo. The account seemed legitimate. It was verified, created in 2019, and had over 1k followers, consistent with other managers I’d seen at the time n I even did a Google search of this person and didnt find anything suspicious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She claimed that @Duolingo wanted me to create a promo video, which got me excited and managed to get my guard down. After discussing I was asked to sign a contract and at app(.)fastsigndocu(.)com. If you see this link, ITS A SCAM! Do NOT download ANY files from this site.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I downloaded a file from the website, and it downloaded without triggering any firewall or antivirus warnings. Thinking it was just a PDF, I opened it. The moment I did, my console and Google Chrome flashed. That’s when I knew I was in trouble. I immediately did an antivirus scan and these were some of the programs it found that were added to my PC without me knowing:
Tumblr media
The thing about cookie hijacking is that it completely bypasses 2FA which should have been my strongest line of defense. I was immediately signed out of all my accounts and within a minute, they changed everything: passwords, 2FA, phone, recovery emails, backup codes, etc.
I tried all methods but hit dead ends trying to recover them. Thankfully, my Discord wasn’t connected, so I alerted everyone I knew there. I also had an alternate account, @JLCmapping, managed by a friend, which I used to immediately inform @/TeamYouTube about the situation
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the hackers turned my YouTube channel into a crypto channel and used my Twitter account to spam hundreds of messages, trying to use my image and reputation to scam more victims
Tumblr media
Thankfully, YouTube responded quickly and terminated the channel. Within 48 hours, they locked the hacker out of my Gmail and restored my access. They also helped me recover my channel, which has been renamed to JoetasticOfficial since Joetastic_ was no longer available.
Tumblr media
Since then, I’ve taken several steps to secure my accounts and prevent this from happening again. This has been a wake-up call to me, and now I am more cautious around people online. I hope sharing it helps others avoid falling victim to similar attacks. (End)
(side note) Around this time, people also started to impersonate me on TikTok and YouTube. With my accounts terminated, anyone searching for "Joetastic" would only find the imposter's profiles. I’m unsure whether they are connected or if it’s just an unfortunate coincidence, but it made the situation even more stressful.

KIP'S BIG POST OF THINGS TO MAKE THE INTERNET & TECHNOLOGY SUCK A LITTLE LESS
Tumblr media
Post last updated November 23, 2024. Will continue to update!
Here are my favorite things to use to navigate technology my own way:
A refurbished iPod loaded with Rockbox OS (Rockbox is free, iPods range in price. I linked the site I got mine from. Note that iPods get finicky about syncing and the kind of cord it has— it may still charge but might not recognize the device to sync. Getting an original Apple cord sometimes helps). Rockbox has ports for other MP3 players as well.
This Windows debloater program (there are viable alternatives out there, this one works for me). It has a powershell script that give you a little UI and buttons to press, which I appreciate, as I'm still a bit shy with tech.
Firefox with the following extensions: - Consent-O-Matic (set your responses to ALL privacy/cookie pop-ups in the extension, and it will answer all pop-ups for you. I can see reasons to not use it, but I appreciate it) - Facebook Container ("contains" Meta on Facebook and Instagram pages to keep it from tracking you or getting third party cookies, since Meta is fairly egregious about it) - Redirect Amp to HTML (AMP is designed for mobile phones, this forces pages to go to their HTML version) - A WebP/AVIF image converter - uBlock Origin and uBlacklist, with the AI blacklist loaded in to kill any generative AI results from appearing in search engines or anywhere.
Handbrake for ripping DVDs— I haven’t used this in awhile as I haven’t been making video edits. I used this back when I had a Mac OS
VLC Media Player (ol’ reliable)
Unsplash & Pexels for free-to-use images
A password manager (these often are paid. I use Dashlane. There are many options, feel free to search around and ask for recs!). There is a lot that goes into cybersecurity— find the option you feel is best for you.
Things I suggest:
Understanding Royalty Free and the Creative Commons licenses
Familiarity with boolean operators for searching
Investing in a backup drive and external drive
A few good USBs, including one that has a backup of your OS on it
Adapter cables
Avoiding Fandom “wikias” (as in the brand “Fandom”) and supporting other, fan-run or supported wikis. Consider contributing if its something you find yourself passionate or joyful about.
Finding Forums for the things you like, or creating your own*
Create an email specifically for ads/shopping— use it to receive all promotional emails to keep your inbox clean. Upkeep it.
Stop putting so much of your personal information online— be willing to separate your personal online identity from your “online identity”. You don’t owe people your name, location, pronouns, diagnoses, or any of that. It’s your choice, but be discerning in what you give and why. I recommend avoiding providing your phone number to sites as much as possible.
Be intentional
Ask questions
Talk to people
Remember that you can lurk all you want
Things that are fun to check out:
BBSes-- here's a portal to access them.
Neocities
*Forums-- find some to join, or maybe host your own? The system I was most familiar with was vbulletin.
MMM.page
Things that have worked well for me but might work for you, YMMV:
Limit your app usage time on your smartphone if you’re prone to going back to them— this is a tangible way to “practice mindfulness”, a term I find frustratingly vague ansjdbdj
Things I’m looking into:
The “Pi Hole”— a raspberry pi set up to block all ads on a specific internet connection
VPNs-- this is one that was recommended to me.
How to use computers (I mean it): Resources on how to understand your machine and what you’re doing, even if your skill and knowledge level is currently 0:
This section I'll come back an add to. I know that messing with computers can be intimidating, especially if you feel out of your depth. HTML and regedits and especially things like dualbooting or linux feel impossible. So I want to put things here that explain exactly how the internet and your computer functions, and how you can learn and work with that. Yippee!

PSA: Tumblr DMs Art SCAM
This scam has been widespread for a while now and many of you likely already know about it, but I've seen a few people fall for it recently so I thought I'd make a PSA explaining the scam and how to recognize and avoid it. Please share this around so that more people can see it!
How the scam tends to work:
If you post art here on Tumblr, you may have received comments that read "Hello, do you offer commissions? Dm me!" or something similar. Unfortunately, these comments are scams.
If you DM the scammer, they will request artwork of something fairly generic, such as a family pet, before asking for contact information such as your email or PayPal.
If you give them this information, they will then send you a fraudulent email claiming to be from PayPal that claims the scammer accidentally sent you too much money. They will then request that you "refund" the extra money that they sent. In reality, the scammer has not actually sent you any money, and they are hoping to trick you into sending them your own money so that they can cut contact and run off with it.
Please keep in mind that the scammer's tactics may vary from case to case! I've seen some emails that claim you don't have the right kind of PayPal account to make or accept the transfer, or that the amount being sent is greater than your account's max limit. Keep an eye out for scams regardless of an email's content! Please also note that, while many of the indicators I will mention are not proof of a scam on their own, a combination of these indicators should definitely raise suspicion.
How to recognize and avoid these scams:
If you offer commissions, have your request form readily available on your blog and only accept commissions through that form.
Check a potential commissioner's blog for activity. Scam blogs will often have very little activity, and that activity will often be very recent. They may also have generic profile pictures or usernames, such as selfies or first/last names followed by a few numbers.
If you believe that you have been contacted by a scammer, do not respond. Instead, block their account and report them to Tumblr staff.
If you receive an email claiming that there has been an issue with a commission:
DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN THE EMAIL. This is the easiest way for a scammer to access your information or install malicious software on your device.
DO NOT send any personal information such as your legal name, bank name/numbers, passwords, etc via email.
Carefully check the sender's email address, as well as the grammar, capitalization, and punctuation of the email itself. Scam emails often have strangely formatted and broken wording, and the sender's address will be very slightly different from the actual address of the person or company they are attempting to impersonate.
If the email urges you to act immediately to avoid consequences such as losing your PayPal account or encountering legal trouble, it is almost definitely a scam. Scammers use urgency in order to make you panic and think less critically before acting.
If you believe that you have been scammed or are in the process of being scammed:
Cease all contact with the scammer immediately. Ignore any frantic messages or threats they may send you.
Record information such as the scammer's usernames and email addresses, as well as screenshots of any conversations you've already had with them. These should be shared with any customer service representatives you contact.
If they have requested money, or you have already sent them money, contact PayPal customer support through their official website and explain the situation to them. Again, DO NOT click any links in the scammer's emails themselves even if they claim to link to PayPal's website!
Block and report the scammer on any site that they have contacted you through. You may also want to change your PayPal and/or email passwords just to be safe.
Stay safe out there, fellow artists! <3

Bill and Ford and Adult Grooming - Why Gravity Falls is a Metaphor Champion for Abusive Relationships (GF Writing Analysis Pt. 4)
GF Writing Analysis Series:
Pt. 1 - Ford Pines: A Masterclass in Writing a Good Flawed Character Pt. 2 - How Gravity Falls Could Have Been Better + Poor Ford and Wendy Pt. 3 - Mabel Pines: How Well Was She Written... Really?
Hello and welcome to the fourth post in my GF Writing Analysis series! Though the title is self-explanatory, I still want to warn folks that this post will contain dark content relating to adult grooming AKA abuse. If that is content you'd rather avoid (and for some reason your filters did not catch my trigger warning tags), this is your heads up that this post will contain that type of discussion.
For those of you who are not sure what adult grooming is, no, it's not the sexual grooming between an adult and a minor like we typically think of when the term "grooming" comes up, nor does it have to be romantic at all, although sexual acts can be a part of this form of grooming. It is defined as:
"-the predatory act of manoeuvring another individual into a position that makes them more isolated, dependent, likely to trust, and more vulnerable to abusive behaviour. The goal is to prepare the other person for abuse (for example, sexual or financial) later. Therefore, the groomer’s first step is to establish friendship and trust." (Source).
It is my belief that the relationship between Bill and Ford in Gravity Falls - which The Book of Bill helped illustrate even more - is one of adult grooming. This post will explore how the concept of adult grooming applies to the relationship between Bill and Ford, how it changes our perception of them as characters, and the value of showing metaphors for abuse in media for all ages - like Gravity Falls is - to help bring to light this very real and underdiscussed issue and help victims recognize it themselves.
Defining Adult Grooming Further + Who Bill Really Is
We already visited the definition of adult grooming above, but we haven't explored the psychology behind it yet. Namely, I want to explore who partakes in adult grooming on both ends. There is the abuser, and the victim.
The abuser is described as often being:
"Narcissists, Antisocial predators, con artists and sexual aggressors practice grooming to target and manipulate vulnerable people for exploitation." (Source).
Well, very obviously, we know that Bill is the abuser. But... why? He could be a narcissist, an antisocial predator, and a con artist, just like the above description. But which? Why is he an abuser?
Well, our first inclination might be to turn to The Book of Bill and think about his backstory; how he could see in the third dimension in a two dimensional world, tried to "liberate" his dimension to see what he could see, and... then slaughtered them all. He implies it was an accident. He just "wanted the best" for his people. But... drumroll please... get ready for a U-turn into some literary talk...
The Great Gatsby references surrounding The Book of Bill were more than just a "lol random" joke. Infamously, the narrator of The Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway, is what's called an 'unreliable narrator'. This is a writing technique defined as:
"-any narrator who misleads readers, either deliberately or unwittingly. Many are unreliable through circumstances, character flaws or psychological difficulties. In some cases, a narrator withholds key information from readers, or they may deliberately lie or misdirect." (Source).
To me, after understanding just how much more Hirsch has tied The Great Gatsby to The Book of Bill's release (e.g "TJ Eckleburg" being the password to get into the associated ARG website, offering a free PDF of The Great Gatsby on said website)... I think what Hirsch is trying to say, is... Bill is an unreliable narrator, as well. Not that that wasn't already well established throughout the series.
Let's ask ourselves this question: is there anyone Bill hasn't lied to? Tried to gain sympathies from? I'll wait. Because the answer is no. Bill lies every time he opens his mouth. Even the god of the Gravity Falls setting - the Axolotl - calls him a liar in the Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirates' Treasure!: Select Your Own Choose-Venture book.
So as a small aside to the main point of this post: I don't think there's anything in The Book of Bill that we can guarantee is proof or canon. If I'm honest, I think The Book of Bill is the mad rambling of a monster trying to justify to us as well as himself that he's better than he really is. He's an unreliable narrator to himself because he needs to save himself from mentally shattering upon the admission that, yeah, he's really that horrible of a person.
If I were to define what The Book of Bill is, is it's a sad attempt to elicit sympathy for a monster, by a monster. It's a masterclass in how he - as an abuser - grooms someone. If you read The Book of Bill and walk away feeling bad for Bill, then congratulations! You would have fallen prey to him just like Ford did. And just like everyone who ever fell prey to him before that.
The metaphor Gravity Falls and its extra content illustrates through Bill is how charming, funny, and enticing and sexy according to Tumblr for some godforsaken reason abusers can be in real life. Because the worst of monsters are the ones who do everything to convince you they're not.
So what does this say about Bill as a character? Don't be fooled. He really is that monstrous. He doesn't have any redeeming qualities. Everything Bill does is with a goal in mind, a person to be used or manipulated to get there, and with a complete lack of conscience to stop himself from doing it. And that's what makes Bill such a strong and terrifying villain: He really is that evil. He really is that soulless. He's not a villain of great strength or power that can be easily defeated with might. He's a villain that underlines something very real beyond a screen or book page, something that we all likely have experienced in real life: an abuser.
Bill and Ford: Abuser and Abused + How Bill Does It
Getting back to the definition of adult grooming, let's explore how it works. There are typical steps abusers like Bill use. We'll list them, then list examples alongside each step that show how Bill used these tactics on Ford for the sake of both exploring their characters more, and illustrating how well Gravity Falls depicts actual abuse.
Please note that I'm using this source as my guideline on the steps of adult grooming.
Step One: Targeting the Victim
The abuser first looks for someone they can target. They learn all they can about the victim. Typically, they look for victims who are:
Unpopular or have family problems. Gee... who does this sound like?
People who have low self-esteem. GEE... sounds familiar again.
People who have mental/physical disabilities. Although Ford does not have either, at least not proven in canon, it is possible that his genius could be considered a disability in how high IQ individuals typically are more socially isolated, depressed, anxious, insomnia-ridden from overthinking, and can have troubles with making friends due to likeliness to correct others (*cough* "Grammar, Stanley." *cough), different senses of humor, and being misunderstood. (Source). Plus, we know his polydactyly caused people to outcast him.
People who have already been through abuse. I - and many others - have made the point that it's common fan interpretation that Ford's father was abusive to a point. At the very least, I have argued in previous posts that Filbrick taught Ford that "value = what money you make from smarts". He was, after all, supposed to be "their ticket outta this (New Jersey poor neighborhood) dump", right? Assuming this is true, well... Ford was already taught from a young age that his value was in how others could use him. Filbrick may have primed him to be abused by Bill, unintentionally.
Okay, so we've established step one of adult grooming, and how Ford fits 99% of these criteria at least for the type of victim an abuser targets. What about step two?
Step Two: Gaining Trust
Honestly, I don't need to elaborate much on this part. I'll just quote the article I sourced before, because any Gravity Falls fan will instantly know how this applies to Bill and Ford:
"Groomers can be hard to notice as they will do their best to appear safe and genuine. This makes it hard to identify them. Over time, they will gradually manipulate the victim to be dependent on them."
"While gaining trust, the groomer may use flattery like offering gifts, admiration, and sharing “secrets” with the person to make them feel special. The groomer may do favours for someone. The groomer may gradually begin asking for favours in return, generally starting small. This may be the start of a romantic relationship or a simple friendship."
"Groomers may share secrets with their target in order to make them feel special and trusted by the groomer. This also may make the target feel they need to share secrets of their own, which the groomer may later use to increase their power over the target."
I mean... *gestures at all of Ford's journals and interactions with Bill in The Book of Bill*. Bill couldn't get any more textbook abuser/adult groomer than this. He praised Ford, shared secrets with him, made him feel so special, etc.
Step Three and Four: Filling a Need and Isolation
These steps are quite self-explanatory. The abuser (Bill) convinces the victim that they need them. "You need me to complete your portal project, Ford.". "No one else understands you, Ford.". And then comes the isolation, and where we'll touch on Stan and McGucket.
"Groomers will likely try to isolate the victim from their loved ones. This may be evident in the way they refuse to meet family and loved ones. Or perhaps they bad mouth them, or try to point out to the victim that the groomer is the only one who really and truly cares for them. Being isolated from friends and family makes it harder for the victim to notice warning signs."
Bill convinced Ford he didn't need anyone but him. He convinced him to isolate more and more; to push his brother away, to push McGucket away, until Ford had literally no support network, making him prime prey for Bill to take advantage of.
Step Five+: The Real Abuse
This step can manifest in many different ways. After reading the article sourced above, there are so many similarities to what Bill did to Ford. I'll list them here:
Continuing isolation.
Destroying self-esteem.
Physical abuse (leaving Ford with bloody knuckles, making his body hurt, leaving him on top of the Shack in the freezing cold, etc).
Seek to take control over victims (in Bill's case, the fantasy/supernatural metaphor of possession is just that: a metaphor for control).
Normalizing behaviors that aren't normal ("Here, I'll just possess you more and more, I swear giving me complete control is normal!").
Making the victim feel helpless.
And many, many more. Folks, I'm not going to lie: I would not be surprised if Hirsch and other writers involved in Bill's creation read a manual on how abusers work (or maybe experienced it in their own lives, but hopefully not, as I wouldn't wish that on anyone) to write Bill. Because Bill does these steps on cue to Ford. He is a textbook abuser.
So... What Does This Say About Bill and Ford?
The dark humor in Bill's writing is that he portrays his shadowy side as lighthearted, but there's a very, very dark underbelly of abuse in everything he does. Even the way we interact with Bill as viewers/readers in real life is a microcosm of his abuse. Look at how he's written:
"Oh, I look like an innocent, funny little triangle guy. Don't mind me. *Does something horrifying and awful.* Oh, I'm just funny, trust me, look how sad I am for losing Ford, and how I drink about it, and I'm all sad here in interdimensional therapy, and I kept a speck of dust from my dimension in my hat! I swear I'm really regretful!"
Tumblr media
Text in point: "I'm just a rascal! A funny little guy! But everyone seems to think I'm "evil" or "a sociopath".
He wants to be a hero, or a star, as he calls it. He shows himself on a magazine cover, as someone talked to in a live show, as the leader of the Henchmaniacs (which I'd argue are also either are abusers or victims themselves based on how Bill describes them in the book), etc.
But he's a liar. He's a conman. He's a dream demon; a demon that has power over dreams, but dreams are just that: lies and illusions. Like I said, even the Axolotl thinks so:
"Saw his own dimension burn. Misses home and can't return. Says he's happy, he's a liar. Blame the arson for the fire."
Tumblr media
What that line and this screenshot means, is that Bill is 100% to blame for the destruction he wreaks. He didn't "show people the truth". He burned them alive because they didn't worship him as the hero he wanted so badly to be, and he blamed it on, "Well, they just didn't GET what I was trying to tell them.". And the worst part about Bill, is he knows deep down he's to blame; that he has the blood of millions on his hands. But he literally tries to describe it as "liberating" his kind. Ford knows this, too, and tells us directly in The Book of Bill that the book itself is a sham:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Key quotes being: "It will become whatever it must to deceive you, to pull you in." and "DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD".
Honestly, there's only one line Bill ever said that was truth:
Tumblr media
Yet, even though Bill knows he's a monster, he never stops. He's had millions of years to change, yet he hasn't. And I doubt he ever will. That's why the Theraprism is effective: it's a jail of his own making. He could get out if he wanted to get better and worked at it. He's always had the key to unlock his cage. But he won't. Because he can't admit fault.
So instead of fixing himself, he keeps wanting to drag others into his cage with him. Like a man drowning who'll grasp onto anyone else struggling, pretending he's helping them float together, only to push them down to keep himself above the water. But in the Theraprism, he has no one to pretend to. He's a "theatre kid without a stage", like Ford said. A little emotional leech without someone to latch onto. He's just alone, like he was after he destroyed his entire dimension.
As for Ford, he champions the story of a victim who regained his power and heals through the love of his family. If you read his and Bill's story from the perspective of abuser vs. victim, it's the story of a man who was isolated, taken advantage of, nearly destroyed... but then wrests his power back and chases after his abuser for thirty years for revenge. However, it's telling that it's not through his thirst for vengeance that Bill is defeated, but through his brother's love for him and the rest of their family.
I mean, look at the main villains of Gravity Falls: someone who sacrificed his family (Bill), someone who was selfish and didn't give a crap about his family (Gideon), etc. And the heroes: people who self-sacrificed for their family. All the Pines wrestle with this theme, from things as small as Dipper giving up a let's be honest very minimal chance at Wendy to make Mabel happy and win Waddles at the fair, Mabel destroying her puppet show to save Dipper from Bill, Ford self-sacrificing and getting tortured for I don't even know how many days locked up with Bill during Weirdmageddon to protect others, and Stan performing the ultimate sacrifice in the finale for his family and world.
Bill is the antithesis to the Pines: a selfish abuser who killed his family. And the Pines are heroes because they learn the moral lesson of the story: to give up pride and selfishness to forgive, self-sacrifice, and love your family and do anything for them, despite your trauma or prior disagreements. They could have just as easily ended up like Bill: awful because of a refusal to admit fault or self-sacrifice. But they don't, because they learned what Bill never did.
That's also why this show focuses so much on the theme of past vs. future and letting go; the Pines learned to let go and accept change, Bill never did. He's stuck. Funny how time stops whenever Bill shows up in the real world, huh? /symbolism wink
And that's why Gravity Falls - and Ford and Bill's story especially - is a champion metaphor for abusive relationships and healing from them.

OKAY so im not about to be petty over internet safety advice but sims community's post on the sfs thing feels like they summarized my post hello ajdhjdvkv
like read this...
Always remember that Sims 4 custom content files should only have the .package or .ts4script extensions. Never download or run .exe files, and ideally avoid automatically unpacking ZIP or RAR files directly into your Mods folder. Instead, inspect each file individually to ensure it’s safe. Always verify that you are downloading from official, creator-posted links, and avoid suspicious URLs, especially those using link shorteners. It’s also important to stay on top of security hygiene. As well as regular antivirus scans and the ModGuard mod mentioned above, consider setting up a weekly system restore point in Windows before adding new mods and back up your important files regularly. this includes Sims saves, mods, and any personal documents. If you use services like Google or Firefox, take advantage of features that scan for password breaches, enable two-factor authentication, and routinely check logged-in sessions across your accounts. Lastly, for both creators and players: be mindful and cautious. Don’t rush to download every new mod or piece of CC, take a moment to ask yourself if you actually need it. For creators, regularly monitor your files and hosting platforms to ensure nothing has been tampered with. These precautions might not guarantee 100% protection, but staying vigilant and informed will greatly reduce your risk of encountering malicious content.

clovenhooves.org registration process
There is some information on how to register here, and I am also explaining it in this post. The reason for this application system is to reduce the amount of trolls and people intending on using the forum in bad faith.
Please read the forum rules & guidelines. I'd like interested persons to feel like they can adhere to the rules. The guidelines are more suggestive.
Please read the cybersecurity guidelines to make sure you feel comfortable with making an account. I want to make sure people are aware of how to mitigate harm to themselves in the case of a database breach (which I have hopefully done enough security measures to avoid happening, but there is always some risk of hacking when it comes to websites).
Please check the membership application and see if you feel comfortable answering these questions. (Note: Your application will only be visible by yourself, trusted members, and admins. Once your application is accepted/rejected, only yourself and admins can look at it. This is in part to minimize copying of answers, we want people to answer honestly based on what they know, not based on what others have said.)
Create an account. Please read the "About Cloven Hooves" and "Registration Agreement" section and make sure you are good with it. Remember, you do not need to provide a real email address if you don't want to. But caution: a fake email address means I cannot help you recover your account if you lose your password.
Provide some info in the "Invite code/referral" section -- at least write "tumblr" since I assume you learned about it from here. :) If you are willing to share your tumblr username (assuming you have an active feminist blog), that would help speed along this step. (Note: this field and the "why are you interested in this forum?" are private and only visible to yourself and admins.)
Post your membership application in the "Pending Applications" forum.
Wait for your account to be accepted as a member, accepted as a learner, or rejected. If you are accepted as a member, you will be able to post anywhere on the forum. If you are accepted as a learner, you will be able to post questions and have discussions in "The Learning Channel". If you are rejected, you will not be able to post, so the same as a guest account. Learners and rejected people are welcome to reapply later on, probably within a few weeks/months. (Admins will not give detailed explanations on why an account has been marked as learner or rejected, as that could lead to gaming the system.)
Okay, that's all, yay!
(And when I refer to "people" throughout this post, I mean "women." Women are people. Female human beings. This is a feminist/woman-centered community.)

hey I was wondering, do you have any thoughts or headcannons about Crescent? (Killer and Nightmare most popular fanchild) I always thought that his existence would be very interesting for the interaction between the two but the fandom kind of completely ignores them when it comes to Crescent, which is really annoying because this has so much potential to traumatize both of them (especially Killer)
Oh man, it’s been awhile since i thought about anything related to shipkids or Crescent. Now I did talk about how I think Stage 2 Killer, the Killer Crescent is most likely to be familiar with, would think of, react to, feel about, and behave around children in general right here.
All is to say, i don’t think Killer would ever want children of his own. Any kids he may potentially have would be on accident or something he was not willingly doing or had a hand in.
I do still think Stage 2’s ways of thinking about people in general—not full “people,” unreal, objects of fascination and study, NPCs running on scripts and predicable, tools or resources, targets, threats, etc—would extend to his own kids.
If it was something he didn’t willingly partake in, he’d avoid confronting his lack of agency or desire for such a thing—and he wouldn’t think of any kids as his. He’d think, “they’re not mine. Just another way this body was used.” Or “the results of someone else’s choices” or in some cases, “a means to an end.”
At most, if the child was an accident and unplanned, he may begin to see the kid(s) as “his.” But not in the way a parent typically thinks about their child; just as a fact. They’re “biologically” or magically, I guess, his. They may even be his in the same way that, say, the phone I’m typing on to respond to this ask is mine.
I wouldn’t want anyone touching it without permission or going through it or breaking it or stealing it from me. I have a password to keep it safe. I have a case on it so its screen doesn’t break when I drop it. It’s a cute case. I make sure to charge it when it needs to be charged, manage its storage, try to avoid giving it any bugs or viruses and try to fix it if it does get any. I make sure not to overcharge and overheat it.
Sometimes I play around in its settings and try to figure out how it works, what it can and can’t do, what I can and can’t change about it. There’s ideas and worries and thoughts floating around that my phone could be used against me, leak my personal information, explode and hurt me, etc.
When it doesn’t work as intended or in a timely manner or does anything that happens to regular phones and are just natural or inconvenient, I get annoyed with it and think about throwing it at wall. I don’t do it—but killer would have a much harder time with a kid in this analogy then I would.
I am not conditioned to respond with violence to certain triggers—it just mildly annoyed me. And he may just have to forcibly remove himself from the situation/kid, if only because he doesn’t want this kid “controlling” him.
If I lost or broke my phone id be annoyed and frustrated, upset about all my data and photos and videos and memories being lost—but would ultimately move on with my life. I would more so be upset that I wasted the money of the person who bought and gifted the phone.
Of course things with Killer and any kids of his in this phone analogy don’t fit perfectly. For one thing he wouldn’t even bother getting a “phone” in this case, and if he ever accidentally ended up with one and he wasn’t able to “share” it with someone (raise the kid alongside the parent as support or have any form of support), he’d find someone else to take it.
If he couldn’t find anyone else to take it, and the phone was capable of being taught to care and look after itself, he might do that if he’s in the environment to do so (aka not with Nightmare), then leave once he’s sure it can. Probably wouldn’t think much of the phone again.
Now back to Crescent specifically. I forgot what his story was so I had to look up a wiki, which may not be reliable, but something in particular stood out to me and kinda made me laugh.
“Killer doesn't care about Crescent. When Nightmare said that they now have a child together, Killer commented on this news with an emotionless "Wow".”
Very silly of him to do. But makes sense, since it’s to my understanding that this kid was not made out of any love between Killer and Nightmare—Crescent was made purely for Nightmare’s plans.
It’s mentioned that Nightmare is the mother, and maybe possibly given birth (?) to him, so at least Killer didn’t have to experience the body horror of unwanted pregnancy. But the way it’s said makes me think he still definitely wasn’t given any choice in this matter.
I remember hearing around that Nightmare actually raised Crescent in his early years due to wanting to raise him “right.” I personally don’t see Nightmare doing any of the child rearing honestly, i think it’d actually be left to Killer.
And I already talked about how I think Killer would fare with having been ordered to care for a child in the linked post, but there’s the added bonus of Crescent being Killer and Nightmare’s kid, Killer’s unwanted kid, the fact that he was likely ordered by the Boss to train and basically indoctrinate Crescent into whatever plans Nightmare has for the kid.
It was mentioned that Crescent is resentful and resistant towards Nightmare and his plans, hiding the full extent of his powers simply to spite Nightmare. And while I do think Killer may be all for spiting Nightmare, there’s the fact that Crescent himself isn’t likely to face the consequences for his disobedience; Killer is.
Hell, in the darkest timeline, Killer may even be the one ordered to dish out any punishment on Crescent himself; encouraged to give in to his conditioning while also having to restrain himself from killing the kid.
But it’s more likely that Killer would face punishment from Nightmare for any disobedience Crescent displays. Which in turn builds Killer’s both resentment and feelings of being powerless, but also leads to deep repression which increases his apathy and indifference.
All in all, i think Killer would both fear and hate that kid deep down. Very deep. But enough that whenever he’s in Stage 1, he’ll stay far away from Crescent; and warn the kid to do the same. He may even arm Crescent with a way to protect himself from Killer, similar to the way he tells Color he has to kill him if he ever goes Stage 3.
Crescent would likely be raised with the knowledge that his father—the one whose been taking care of and raising him all these years, but may have also been the one to have greatly wounded and betrayed him (regardless of choice or not)— is a danger to him, and one day, he may have to kill him—or he’d die instead.

how would you recommend starting a NSFW account? like, protecting email and privacy and stuff. i’m worried about Big Data, idk
There's A LOT of ground to cover here, so bear with me: I am writing this under the assumption you are an artist who wants to draw gay kink stuff, and you wish to protect this identity from your irl peers and maybe employers. The FIRST major thing to handle is your accounts. Signing up for services require you to give information about yourself, which is something that could easily be leaked #1) have a separate email for your NSFW stuff. all accounts for your NSFW life will use this email. I recommend using Proton Mail or Tuta. (Warning: the free version of proton mail and tuta will auto delete accounts that have remained inactive for more than 6 months) #2) Being an artist on the internet means having 10 billion social media accounts. DO NOT give them all the same password. Ever. Get a password manager. They will generate strong passwords for you, all of which are unique. I recommend Bitwarden, KeepassXC, or Protonpass. #3) Any accounts that handle finances (paypal patreon etc) should be under your irl email. Your government ID and bank will be linked to those. Also taxes. #4) Do not provide your phone number for your nsfw accounts. This will provide a link between your nsfw life and your personal life. Discord and Twitch force you to provide a phone number. Either make a new email, or link your non nsfw email to them. You could spoof a phone number but that comes with risks. Your call. #5) If you can, set up 2 Factor Authentication with your emails. This will also help you log in to them more often, keeping them active. Now that your accounts are secured and compartmentalized the next thing to do is BE MINDFUL WHEN TALKING ABOUT YOURSELF. You dont need to be too mysterious and aloof just don't get too careless when sharing your life with others. maybe strangers dont need to know you have a brother, or where you normally shop. what's left now are dealing with websites tracking your browsing habits. This post is too long so a very quick and easy set up is: -Switch to a privacy respecting browser. I recommend Firefox. -Avoid installing browser extensions. -Except for Ublock Origin. It will block so many ads, trackers, and malware. -Pick a privacy respecting search engine. Duckduck go is a popular choice Theres still a shitload more you can do but this will put you so far ahead of everyone else, without requiring you to spend money, and its not too difficult to set up. anyway i wrote all of this for you so pls be nice to me

Albert Gonzalez (born 1981) is an American computer hacker, computer criminal and police informer, who is accused of masterminding the combined credit card theft and subsequent reselling of more than 170 million card and ATMnumbers from 2005 to 2007, the biggest such fraud in history. Gonzalez and his accomplices used SQL injection to deploy backdoors on several corporate systems in order to launch packet sniffing (specifically, ARP spoofing) attacks which allowed him to steal computer data from internal corporate networks.
Gonzalez bought his first computer when he was 12, and by the time he was 14 managed to hack into NASA. He attended South Miami High School in Miami, Florida, where he was described as the "troubled" pack leader of computer nerds. In 2000, he moved to New York City, where he lived for three months before moving to Kearny, New Jersey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While in Kearny, he was accused of being the mastermind of a group of hackers called the ShadowCrew group, which trafficked in 1.5 million stolen credit and ATM card numbers. Although considered the mastermind of the scheme (operating on the site under the screen name of "CumbaJohnny"), he was not indicted. According to the indictment, there were 4,000 people who registered with the Shadowcrew.com website. Once registered, they could buy stolen account numbers or counterfeit documents at auction, or read "Tutorials and How-To's" describing the use of cryptography in magnetic strips on credit cards, debit cards and ATM cards so that the numbers could be used. Moderators of the website punished members who did not abide by the site's rules, including providing refunds to buyers if the stolen card numbers proved invalid.
In addition to the card numbers, numerous other objects of identity theft were sold at auction, including counterfeit passports, drivers' licenses, Social Security cards, credit cards, debit cards, birth certificates, college student identification cards, and health insurance cards. One member sold 18 million e-mail accounts with associated usernames, passwords, dates of birth, and other personally identifying information. Most of those indicted were members who actually sold illicit items. Members who maintained or moderated the website itself were also indicted, including one who attempted to register the .cc domain name Shadowcrew.cc.
The Secret Service dubbed their investigation "Operation Firewall" and believed that up to $4.3 million was stolen, as ShadowCrew shared its information with other groups called Carderplanet and Darkprofits. The investigation involved units from the United States, Bulgaria, Belarus, Canada, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Ukraine. Gonzalez was initially charged with possession of 15 fake credit and debit cards in Newark, New Jersey, though he avoided jail time by providing evidence to the United States Secret Service against his cohorts. 19 ShadowCrew members were indicted. Gonzalez then returned to Miami.
While cooperating with authorities, he was said to have masterminded the hacking of TJX Companies, in which 45.6 million credit and debit card numbers were stolen over an 18-month period ending in 2007, topping the 2005 breach of 40 million records at CardSystems Solutions. Gonzalez and 10 others sought targets while wardriving and seeking vulnerabilities in wireless networks along U.S. Route 1 in Miami. They compromised cards at BJ's Wholesale Club, DSW, Office Max, Boston Market, Barnes & Noble, Sports Authority and T.J. Maxx. The indictment referred to Gonzalez by the screen names "cumbajohny", "201679996", "soupnazi", "segvec", "kingchilli" and "stanozlolz." The hacking was an embarrassment to TJ Maxx, which discovered the breach in December 2006. The company initially believed the intrusion began in May 2006, but further investigation revealed breaches dating back to July 2005.
Gonzalez had multiple US co-defendants for the Dave & Buster's and TJX thefts. The main ones were charged and sentenced as follows:
Stephen Watt (Unix Terrorist, Jim Jones) was charged with providing a data theft tool in an identity theft case. He was sentenced to two years in prison and 3 years of supervised release. He was also ordered by the court to pay back $250,000 in restitution.
Damon Patrick Toey pleaded guilty to wire fraud, credit card fraud, and aggravated identity theft and received a five-year sentence.
Christopher Scott pleaded guilty to conspiracy, unauthorized access to computer systems, access device fraud and identity theft. He was sentenced to seven years.
Gonzalez was arrested on May 7, 2008, on charges stemming from hacking into the Dave & Buster's corporate network from a point of sale location at a restaurant in Islandia, New York. The incident occurred in September 2007. About 5,000 card numbers were stolen. Fraudulent transactions totaling $600,000 were reported on 675 of the cards.
Authorities became suspicious after the conspirators kept returning to the restaurant to reintroduce their hack, because it would not restart after the company computers shut down.
Gonzalez was arrested in room 1508 at the National Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. In various related raids, authorities seized $1.6 million in cash (including $1.1 million buried in plastic bags in a three-foot drum in his parents' backyard), his laptops and a compact Glock pistol. Officials said that, at the time of his arrest, Gonzalez lived in a nondescript house in Miami. He was taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he was indicted in the Heartland attacks.
In August 2009, Gonzalez was indicted in Newark, New Jersey on charges dealing with hacking into the Heartland Payment Systems, Citibank-branded 7-Eleven ATM's and Hannaford Brothers computer systems. Heartland bore the brunt of the attack, in which 130 million card numbers were stolen. Hannaford had 4.6 million numbers stolen. Two other retailers were not disclosed in the indictment; however, Gonzalez's attorney told StorefrontBacktalk that two of the retailers were J.C. Penney and Target Corporation. Heartland reported that it had lost $12.6 million in the attack including legal fees. Gonzalez allegedly called the scheme "Operation Get Rich or Die Tryin."
According to the indictment, the attacks by Gonzalez and two unidentified hackers "in or near Russia" along with unindicted conspirator "P.T." from Miami, began on December 26, 2007, at Heartland Payment Systems, August 2007 against 7-Eleven, and in November 2007 against Hannaford Brothers and two other unidentified companies.
Gonzalez and his cohorts targeted large companies and studied their check out terminals and then attacked the companies from internet-connected computers in New Jersey, Illinois, Latvia, the Netherlands and Ukraine.
They covered their attacks over the Internet using more than one messaging screen name, storing data related to their attacks on multiple Hacking Platforms, disabling programs that logged inbound and outbound traffic over the Hacking Platforms, and disguising, through the use of proxies, the Internet Protocol addresses from which their attacks originated. The indictment said the hackers tested their program against 20 anti virus programs.
Rene Palomino Jr., attorney for Gonzalez, charged in a blog on The New York Times website that the indictment arose out of squabbling among U.S. Attorney offices in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. Palomino said that Gonzalez was in negotiations with New York and Massachusetts for a plea deal in connection with the T.J. Maxx case when New Jersey made its indictment. Palomino identified the unindicted conspirator "P.T." as Damon Patrick Toey, who had pleaded guilty in the T.J. Maxx case. Palomino said Toey, rather than Gonzalez, was the ring leader of the Heartland case. Palomino further said, "Mr. Toey has been cooperating since Day One. He was staying at (Gonzalez's) apartment. This whole creation was Mr. Toey's idea... It was his baby. This was not Albert Gonzalez. I know for a fact that he wasn't involved in all of the chains that were hacked from New Jersey."
Palomino said one of the unnamed Russian hackers in the Heartland case was Maksym Yastremskiy, who was also indicted in the T.J. Maxx incident but is now serving 30 years in a Turkish prison on a charge of hacking Turkish banks in a separate matter. Investigators said Yastremskiy and Gonzalez exchanged 600 messages and that Gonzalez paid him $400,000 through e-gold.
Yastremskiy was arrested in July 2007 in Turkey on charges of hacking into 12 banks in Turkey. The Secret Service investigation into him was used to build the case against Gonzalez including a sneak and peek covert review of Yastremskiy's laptop in Dubai in 2006 and a review of the disk image of the Latvia computer leased from Cronos IT and alleged to have been used in the attacks.
After the indictment, Heartland issued a statement saying that it does not know how many card numbers were stolen from the company nor how the U.S. government reached the 130 million number.
Gonzalez (inmate number: 25702-050) served his 20-year sentence at the FMC Lexington, a medical facility. He was released on September 19, 2023.

So with the pandora's box of AI being released into the world, cybersecurity has become kind of insane for the average user in a way that's difficult to describe for those who aren't following along. Coding in unfamiliar languages is easier to do now, for better and worse. Purchasable hacking "kits" are a thing on the dark web that basically streamline the process of deploying ransomware. And generative AI is making it much easier for more and more people to obscure their intentions and identities, regardless of their tech proficiency.
The impacts of this have been Really Bad in the last year or two in particular. For example:
(I'm about to link to sources, and you better be hovering and checking those links before clicking on them as a habit)
Ransomware attacks have become increasingly lucrative for private and state-sponsored hacking groups, with at least one hack recently reported to have resulted in a $75 MILLION payout from the victim. This in combination with the aforementioned factors has made it a bigger and bigger risk for companies and organizations holding your most sensitive data.
In the US, the Salt Typhoon hack over the past year or so has compromised virtually all major phone networks--meaning text and phone calls are no longer secure means of communication. While this won't affect most people in day-to-day, it does make basically all the information you share over traditional phone comms very vulnerable. You should avoid sharing sensitive information over the phone when you can.
CISA updated their security recommendations late last year in response to this compromise. One of the recommendations is to use a separate comms app with end-to-end encryption. I personally prefer Signal, since it's open source and not owned by Meta, but the challenge can be getting people you know on the same service. So... have fun with that.
2FA is no longer as secure as it was--because SMS itself is no longer secure, yeah, but even app-based 2FA has been rendered useless in certain circumstances. One reason for this is because...
A modern version of the early-2000's trick of gaining access to people's accounts via hijacked cookies has come back around for Chromium browsers, and hackers are gaining access to people's Google accounts via OAuth session hijacking. Meaning they can get into your already-logged-in accounts without passwords or 2FA even being needed to begin with. This has been achieved both through hackers compromising chrome browser extensions, and via a reinvigorated push to send out compromising links via email.
Thanks to AI, discerning compromised email is harder now. Cybercriminals are getting better at replicating legitimate email forms and website login screens etc., and coming up with ways to time the emails around times when you might legitimately expect them. (Some go so far as to hack into a person's phone to watch for when a text confirmation might indicate a recent purchase has been made via texted shipping alerts, for example)
If you go to a website that asks you to double-click a link or button--that is a major red flag. A potential method of clickjacking sessions is done via a script that has to be run with the end user's approval. Basically, to get around people who know enough to not authenticate scripts they don't recognize, hackers are concealing the related pop ups behind a "double-click" prompt instruction that places the "consent" prompt's button under the user's mouse in disguised UI, so that on the second click, the user will unwittingly elevate the script without realizing they are doing it.
Attachments are also a fresh concern, as hackers have figured out how to intentionally corrupt key areas of a file in a way that bypasses built-in virus check--for the email service's virus checker as well as many major anti-virus installed on endpoint systems
Hackers are also increasingly infiltrating trusted channels, like creating fake IT accounts in companies' Office 365 environment, allowing them to Teams employees instead of simply email them. Meaning when IT sends you a new PM in tools like Zoom, Slack, or Teams, you need to double-check what email address they are using before assuming it's the real IT person in question.
Spearphishing's growing sophistication has accelerated the theft of large, sensitive databases like the United/Change Healthcare hacks, the NHS hack & the recent Powerschool hack. Cybercriminals are not only gaining access to emails and accounts, but also using generative AI tools to clone the voices (written and spoken) of key individuals close to them, in order to more thoroughly fool targets into giving away sensitive data that compromises access to bigger accounts and databases.
This is mostly being used to target big-ticket targets, like company CSO's and other executives or security/IT personnel. But it also showcases the way scammers are likely to start trying to manipulate the average person more thoroughly as well. The amount of sensitive information--like the health databases being stolen and sold on the darkweb--means people's most personal details are up for sale and exploitation. So we're not too far off from grandparents being fooled by weaponized AI trained off a grandchild's scraped tiktok videos or other public-facing social media, for example. And who is vulnerable to believing these scams will expand, as scammers can potentially answer sensitive questions figured out from stolen databases, to be even more convincing.
And finally, Big Tech's interest in replacing their employees with AI to net higher profits has resulted in cybersecurity teams who are overworked, even more understaffed they already were before, and increasingly lacking the long-term industry experience useful to leading effective teams and finding good solutions. We're effectively in an arms race that is burning IT pros out faster and harder than before, resulting in the circumvention of crucial QA steps, and mistakes like the faulty release that created the Crowdstrike outage earlier last year.
Most of this won't impact the average person all at once or to the same degree big name targets with potential for big ransoms. But they are little things that have combined into major risks for people in ways that aren't entirely in our control. Password security has become virtually obsolete at this point. And 2FA's effectiveness is tenuous at best, assuming you can maintain vigilance.
The new and currently best advice to keeping your individual accounts secure is to switch to using Passkeys and FIDO keys like Yubikeys. However, the effectiveness of passkeys are held back somewhat as users are slow to adopt them, and therefore websites and services are required to continue to support passwords on people's accounts anyway--keeping password vulnerabilities there as a back door.
TLDR; it's pretty ugly out there right now, and I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. Because even with more sophisticated EDR and anti-virus tools, social engineering itself is getting more complex, which renders certain defensive technologies as somewhat obsolete.
Try to use a passkey when you can, as well as a password locker to create strong passwords you don't have to memorize and non-SMS 2FA as much as possible. FIDO keys are ideal if you can get one you won't lose.
Change your passwords for your most sensitive accounts often.
Don't give websites more personal info about yourself than is absolutely necessary.
Don't double-click links or buttons on websites/captchas.
Be careful what you click and download on piracy sources.
Try to treat your emails and PMs with a healthy dose of skepticism--double-check who is sending them etc for stealthily disguised typos or clever names. It's not going to be as obvious as it used to be that someone is phishing you.
It doesn't hurt to come up with an offline pass phrase to verify people you know IRL. Really.
And basically brace for more big hacks to happen that you cannot control to begin with. The employees at your insurance companies, your hospital, your telecomms company etc. are all likely targets for a breach.

PLOTS INSPIRED BY MANHWAS pt. 1
INTROVERTED US. muse a has always been known as the popular one. always kind, always smiling, but no one's ever been able to get close to them. by chance wallflower muse b discovers muse a's secret of actually being an overly awkward introvert that's only been forced into the spotlight and all the social interactions because of their good looks. with someone finally knowing muse a's true self, the pair form an unlikely friendship. but with muse b being just as awkward and having garnered a bad reputation due to misunderstandings from their quiet personality, it lands muse a in a lot of uncomfortable conversations as they try to steer them away from muse b's bad social standing. THE PASSWORD IS 002. muse a decides to finally confess their feelings for their coworker, muse b, only to realize to their embarrassment that muse b doesn't even know who they are. too afraid to face muse b, muse a avoids them at all costs and even ends up hiding in an empty conference room/storage room/etc. only to meet muse c, muse b's sibling. muse a decides to ask muse c for help in winning over their sibling, not knowing that muse b and muse c don't have the best relationship. muse c decides to mess with their sibling by feeding muse a all the incorrect information they'd need to "win" muse b over. as muse a and muse c end up growing closer because of it, muse c realizes a little too late that maybe they've grown to have feelings for muse a. BITTEN CONTRACT. muse a is a long time actor prone to the worst migraines for the past decade, unbeknownst to anyone. due to it, they've slowly gained a reputation of being difficult to work with because of how often they disappear without explanation and not being able to get through a whole scene without going out of character. with very few directors willing to work with muse a, they get a last chance offer from a director who has worked with them in in the past. muse b is a rising star who's been cast opposite of muse a in the film. muse b has always admired muse a (and maybe had a crush on them), they also happen to be a vampire. when muse b discovers that muse a is in pain all the time from their persisting migraines, they decide to do something about it by drinking from muse a. in drinking from muse a, their pain temporarily subsides
CHILDHOOD FRIEND COMPLEX. muse a and muse b have been friends since before they were born due to their parents' friendship. despite growing up to be quite different personalities, they're always there for each other. and while that wasn't a problem for the longest time, by the time they were teens everyone assumed the pair of them had feelings for the other. while they were always quick to deny such feelings it didn't help that muse b constantly scared off (accidentally or not) anyone who showed interest in muse a, and muse a constantly dropped everything to bail out muse b when they inevitably landed themselves in trouble. SHE'S HOPELESS. muse a comes from a prestigious family, but due to their rude personality, they are often ostracized or bullied. seemingly not to care, muse a never mentions all the horrible things that happen to them despite their family pleading for muse a to let them help sort it out. muse a's family decides to hire muse b, a bodyguard, to "randomly" meet muse a and try to be their friend/confidante/co-worker/etc. without letting muse a know their true identity and intentions so that muse a's family can start taking care of them behind the scenes.

"Now how did you come to find your way into my Tower hmm??? Curious considering how it doesn't have any doors. Mostly naughty of you darling, breaking into my house-"
"Ah! Nevermind. I actually predicted your visit some time ago. You're right on schedule."
"Welcome to my Emerald Tower! The most mysterious and magnificent of any kind you'll find in Hell, surely. Here is where I, Queen Vine of the Ars Goetia, Beholder of Fate, The All-Seer, ruler of the Witchholm and loveliest of all those who Fell reside!"
"By the way, if you need the wifi password, it's P@im0nstinks12."
"So by all means! Make yourself comfortable. I'm sure you have many questions-"
Rules And Bio Below! Please read before interacting!
Rules:
Vine is capable of near perfect foresight, and thus can see the past, present and future of whomever she wishes with the exception of anomalies. However, I will not have Vine predict the future without consulting my RP partner about it first, or without establishing them as a said anomaly. If we can’t agree on what can be disclosed to Vine, or if you disagree with my decision to make or not make them an anomaly, please accept my decision if I choose not to continue the RP with you
Vine has extremely narcissistic habits, and is also a very privileged person. Her viewpoints are not going to always be my own, and she is bound to step on toes. I will always try to keep my partners informed of what she’s going to do in the RP, but if Vine does or says something that offends you personally, SPEAK UP. If Vine acting like an entitled queen is going to be offensive to you, we need to stop so we can avoid hurt feelings. This also goes for any element of plotting that you’re uncomfortable with. It’s much easier to do a full stop than to carry on with draa.
Vine is not interested in marriage or children. She can be reciprocative of flirting, but as someone who is demisexual and demiromantic, it takes her a long time to establish love and trust for someone. And this love is not necessarily healthy. If you want to do shipping, or plot romances, be aware Vine will not always act in your muses’ best interests.
I am open to RPing with minors. However I will not RP anything with graphic violence, sex, or other mature themes with you. If I find you’re lying about your age to RP these themes, it will be a full block, and I will delete all threads. This is the only warning you get.
I am open to all OCs and canon characters. If you want to drop little asks, my inbox is always open. However I typically will ask permission to the mun before dropping asks. If I haven’t asked yet, feel free to ping me and give me permission or ask me to. Communication is key!
Please be polite and understanding. All of what we’re doing on here is meant to be for fun, not to be taken seriously. I will respect your opinions and views so long as you respect mine. If I feel any communication is becoming unhealthy or nonexistent, don’t expect me to continue doing RPs with you.
Queen Vine is based on the demon King Vine of the Lesser Key of Solomon. Obviously this is not a canon version of that character, but only an inspiration. Still, as such, Queen Vine does have dominion over her own territory, and as such tends to do what she likes. If you actively want to RP her being a bully, be prepared!
I am perfectly accepting of other people's headcanons and bios, even if they contradict my own. For example, if you play Lucifer but do not have the same backstory as described here, that's fine! Its your character, they don't need to match up 100%
Have fun! Vine may be an omnipotent Queen but she’s also a drama mama wine aunt and spends her days writing fanfics. So enjoy that :D

In the beginning there were the orders of angels who were set to safeguard humanity and care for God’s wonderful creations on Earth. Among them were the Ophanim, or the Thrones, who worked under the Seraphim to establish to pillars of wisdom that would insure Heaven stood supreme. The Ophanim were mostly paired siblings, including two particular Ophanim, Paimon and Vine.
The role of Paimon and Vine were as herald and scribe respectively. Paimon would be responsible for announcing the edict of the Heavens, and spoke with a powerful, captivating voice. And Vine would be the writer of histories and proclamations, documenting the past, present and future. The two siblings were proud of their public roles, and served, more or less, as the Voices of God.
However, when the Morningstar came to power, things changed.
Lucifer Morningstar was a Seraphim. Beautiful, brilliant, charming and well-liked by the Ophanim, he had become somewhat of a stand-out due to his extravagant ideas for how the Earth should operate, in particular caring for the future of humanity. But he was often put down by his fellow Seraphim and the elder council of angels, who found his ideas too outlandish and believing they should obey the order of God instead. The siblings Paimon and Vine however, found Lucifer’s ideas captivating, and believed that a strong leader should be capable of thinking big. And with God so elusive and difficult to commune with, soon the siblings found themselves siding more and more with Lucifer.
And then it happened.
Lilith, the wife of Adam, found she could not bear to submit to his will and be treated as a lesser being. Though the two had been created as equals, Adam had been increasingly more demanding, and thus the two broke away, Lilith choosing to live away from the enclosed garden. Lucifer understood her desire for autonomy, and admired her. The two met, and fell in love. Heaven had been swift to give Adam another wife, a more humble and gentle Eve, but Lucifer and Lilith felt that the mother of humanity deserved to be able to give the same gift Lilith had been born with. The power to choose for oneself.
And thus, the event that would shape history forever happened. Slipping into the garden, Lucifer offered Eve the Apple. It would allow her to be able to distinguish good from evil, give her wisdom and knowledge, and grant her the free will to decide of her own volition. Eve in her innocence, accepted.
But once it was made clear that the Mother of Humanity had done so, Heaven was enraged.
Eve had been tainted by the Apple. And what was worse, was that she already carried the future generation of humanity in her belly. Worse still, Adam learned of what she had done, and chose to taste the Apple himself, not wishing his wife to suffer alone. With humanity’s future now uncertain, the Seraphim swiftly punished Lucifer and Lilith and cast them down into Hell….a dark, foreboding place no angel dared tread.
The greatest of dangers was yet to come.
For Lucifer had left many friends behind in the Ophanim, who were horrified and outraged at the Elders act of cruelty against their beloved Seraphim. Paimon in particular was crushed, as he had deeply admired Lucifer and his bold take on things. Not willing to let this go without consequence, Paimon spoke to the other Ophanim, all seventy-two of them, and convinced them that they should stand in support of their friend. Not only them, but six other Seraphim who had been close to Lucifer as well, and viewed him as a brother, agreed that Lucifer had been unjustly punished….especially after seeing that humanity had been cast out of the Garden of Eden due to this.
As for Vine, she decided to take the first step. With the stroke of a pen, she wrote in the sacred book of God that Lucifer was to be the future of humanity, now and forever. With one act, she and Paimon set themselves as proud rebels against Heaven, demanding the return of Lucifer and Lilith and the restoration of mankind to the Garden of Eden.
Their defiance took a bloody turn. Angels warred against angels, and in the aftermath, all the rebels were swiftly punished and cast down to join the man they had sided with. But for Vine, who had emulated her leader in boldness, there was a special punishment awaiting her.
After the battle had sent most of her fellow Ophanim into Hell, Vine and her brother Paimon were chained and brought before the Elders. Though Paimon had coerced his fellow angels to rebellion, Vine had committed the first act of heresy in history by going against the will of God, and declaring another to be a greater power. With Paimon watching, the angels cut Vine’s hands from her wrists, declaring she would never again be permitted to write such heresy. While still howling in agony, the two siblings were cast down, the last to fall, and the impact of their rebellion cemented.
Lucifer and Lilith had not expected company, but after seeing so many of their fellow angels scattered, wounded, and morphed beyond recognition, they understood they needed to take control. With Lilith leading the way, supporting her new husband and great love, the two established their dominion over Hell. The six Seraphim who had fought and fell first became part of the Seven Deadly Sins, with Lucifer reigning as King of Pride and Emperor of Hell. The Ophanim, not wishing to relinquish their titles as Thrones, formed the Royal Circle of demons, a large part becoming the Ars Goetia. Paimon swiftly took leadership of these royal demons, as he had headed the rebellion.
Vine, now Queen Vine, was left in far worse straits.
Despite Lucifer’s best efforts, the wound she sustained after having her hands cut from her wrists was irreversible. Every time he attempted to attach new hands, they would rot and fall off, dooming her to dependence. Fortunately, Lucifer figured out a solution. He had attempted six times to attach hands to her wrists, and thus created six magical hands that would not need to be bound to her wrists in order to work. Vine was relieved to have her autonomy and ability to write restored, but was ultimately haunted by the ordeal she had suffered.
Though she and Paimon were still siblings, Paimon chose to cement his position through royal marriages, heirs, playing games of politics and establishing an iron grip on his territories. Vine however, had been too affected by their previous rebellion, and decided she would remain Queen of her principality and operate from afar. Her power, which remained even after her Fall, would be loaned for the use of future mortals who wished for prophecy, witchcraft, and magic. Residing in the Emerald Tower; a formidable stronghold that mysteriously lacks any doors to permit entry, Vine chose instead to continue the documentation she had once taken pride in….this time for Hell.
Present Day:
Though many eons have passed since the Fall, Vine still remains, more or less, as a solitary figure in the Royal Circle. As King Paimon’s sister and a Queen, she is respected by her royal peers, particularly for her ability to see the past, present and future almost perfectly….without the need of a grimoire. However, she is also mostly a mystery as she remains isolated in her tower, rarely permitting guests. Instead, she makes random appearances at society functions, often to give away lavish gifts and give “spoilers” for peoples future as a form of amusement.
In truth, Vine’s interest in writing the future has….changed. As the population of Hell as grown, her interest has turned more dramatic, resembling that of a novelist for romance and dramas. Her many tomes are in fact “fanfiction” of people’s lives, writing down the intricacies of their relationships and struggles. She even publishes them under pseudonyms online, and seems to revel in the little dramas she writes, since she can already tell what’s going to happen.
Vine does accept the call to service when requested by Lucifer or Lilith, but she has since become notoriously “obnoxious” to her brother and fellow Kings. She often likes to poke fun at Paimon’s pursuit of control and power, perhaps because she already knows the outcome of his machinations, and often speaks dismissively of those she doesn’t find interesting.
What’s stranger is that Vine seems to have adopted a small imp companion in her years of isolation, a tiny illustrator named Triss. No one’s sure how she came to be hired as the Queen’s confidante, or how she even got into the Emerald Tower. But Triss seems to thrive mostly off of reading the queen’s fanfiction, and even draws the subjects to add to the tomes. Triss is a deeply unusual imp, even by normal standards, but is also a deeply devoted friend to Vine, who is exceedingly fond of her.
Abilities and Powers:
Though the Ophanim were irreversibly changed after the Fall, taking on demonic forms, many of them retained their abilities and powers. Vine herself has many of the same powers Paimon has; teleportation, shape-shifting, telekinesis and the ability to traverse through space. However, Paimon has more combative powers than his sister has, which makes him suitable to his role as King. Instead, Vine has the advantage of near-perfect clairvoyance, to which she requires no grimoire or studies of the stars or elements to divine. These visions of the past, present and future are all done through her third eye, which is the only eye that constantly sees everything.
However it is only “nearly” perfect. There still remain people whom Vine refers to as “anomalies”; special people whose futures cannot be divined, nor their pasts uncovered. The best Vine can do is divine the path through the eyes of those around them, but never seeing their point-of-view. Vine has a vested interest in these anomalies, often writing “AU fanfics” where she guesses at their future based on her observation.
Because of these powers of foresight, Vine has taken on many names and forms in order to commune with humans on Earth to retain her importance and power. She has claimed many names and shapes, including that of the Fates. She can be summoned for counsel by humans, but only those who provide the proper tributes; Three cups of wine (red, white and rose), three fruits (apple, pomegranate and fig), and three knives (iron, copper, and steel), lit around a circle with her sigil with three candles (black, white and red). She will permit them three questions, but often keeps her answers ambiguous.
Vine’s weaknesses however, are the same as all immortal demons that live in Hell. She is vulnerable to angelic weapons and arms, and can also be subdued or sealed away by a more powerful demon such as the Seven Deadly Sins, or King Lucifer and Queen Lilith. Though she has yet to make herself so troublesome as to incite their ire, she does have a habit of angering people by refusing to speak of the future. In fact, Vine has a personal rule where she refuses to reveal anything unless it provides ample entertainment for herself.
Personality:
Vine, like most Goetia, is an incredibly proud and vain woman who often disregards the running of her territory, having left it to the work of stewards and magistrates. She has extremely narcissistic tendencies and can be very extravagant and eccentric, often praising her beauty and brilliance, and taking a great deal of stock in public comments online from her fan base. Vine is capable of being good and generous, but that is often reserved with those whom she takes interest in or has a history with.
However, she is also capable of being very vindictive and cold, especially on the subject of her own history. Though few outside of the Goetic Circle know what happened to her hands, she finds it a very sore subject, hiding her scarred wrists under long sleeves and changing the subject when it turns to it. If someone of lower station were to pry at the subject, she would react with swift, unceasing retribution, and will even teleport unfortunate souls into volcanoes if they wrong her.
Yet, despite being Queen, Vine chooses not to marry or have children. She cites her brother Paimon for this reason, stating that child-bearing and marriage was nothing but tedious work, and states that as immortals, the question of their inheritance is rather moot since most of them will live until Armageddon at the very least. Vine enjoys romance stories, but choose to play coy, often flirting but never really pursuing. It’s unknown if Vine has had any lovers, as she does not openly speak of her romantic relationships.
In truth, there is only one person whom Vine treasures above all; her companion Triss. Aside from letting Triss live in the Emerald Tower and hiring her as her illustrator, Vine also shares secrets of the future with her, and they seem to operate on the same wavelengths, enjoying things from afar.
(NEW) Queen of Heresy:
After entering a feud with Paimon over his self-proclaimed elevation as Emperor of the Goetia (@avispatr) Vine stole away her city and kingdom and disappeared in a fit of rage. Out of sheer spite, she carved out not one, but two Rings of Hell deep below the surface of Sloth, creating both the Ring of Heresy and the Ring of Treachery.
The Ring of Heresy is a dark realm, with only a false moon and stars to light its way, and is home to the capital of New Witchholm. It resembles a shadowed wasteland with floating islands and jagged stones, icy mist rising up from the Ring of Treachery and its endless fields of ice below. It is home not only to the more gothic inclined of Hellborns, but also to Vine's own creations....wraiths. Created from the lingering memories of deceased demons, they haunt the Ring of Heresy and act as investigators and information brokers, as they have a keen ability to find things.
Queen Vine still resides partially in Pride, but splits her residency between the Rings equally as she establishes herself as the Sin of Heresy.
_______
Extra! Bio For Triss, Queen Vine's Imp Companion
Tumblr media
Name: Beatriss (“Triss”) Lansher
Sex: Female
Age: 21-23
Birthday: August 21st (Leo)
Sexuality: Asexual (Biromantic)
Demon Class: Imp (30 cm tall)
Location: The Royal Circle (Pride Ring)
Bio:
In truth, no one really knows who Triss is or where she came from. At some point however, during one of Queen Vine’s visits to the Goetic Assemblies, she performed a “magic trick” where she pulled Triss from her long sleeves, and then let her rest on her shoulder for the remainder of the evening. At first Triss was dismissed as nothing more than a royal pet…however as she began making regular attendances at Goetia parties as Vine’s guest it was clear the Queen had a definite soft spot for her.
Triss did manage to secure a position as Royal Illustrator for the Queen’s writing projects. Despite being small enough to fit in a teapot, she is an exceptional artist, and can often draw detailed sketches based off of one lone observation. Triss presently lives in the Emerald Tower, and despite being something of an oddity, appears to be very happy and comfortable in Vine’s service.
Personality:
Triss, like Vine, loves reading about dramatic stories and enjoys the adventure, the plot-twists, and romance arcs of people the Queen writes about. Because she has an insider view on particular Hellborns and humans, she gets the inside scoop on a lot of complex stories from all around. Despite her small stature, she doesn’t seem to be afraid of much, perhaps made comfortable by the Queen’s protection. Triss is also quite bold and blunt. She’s not afraid to use the Queen’s favoritism to her advantage, often pointing to things she wants and asking Vine to get them for her. It’s an effective strategy nonetheless, and Vine rarely denies her anything.
Triss is also a great lover of the arts. Drawing is one fo the things she’s truly passionate for, and she has a creative streak that can imagine many scenarios at the drop of a hat. She also has a great love of charcuterie and cheeses, and it’s believed that a major part of her contract with Vine as her employee is to always have a full charcuterie plate by her bedside. Given it’s the preferred snack of the two when they’re observing the antics of their favorite characters, the Emerald Tower is outfitted with a fromagerie suitable to their tastes.
Given her mistress is so eccentric, Triss herself can be quite the oddball too. She can be unreactive sometimes, and her obsession with cheese and fanfics are often questionable by most.

For those curious about what all happened with my Patreon, I've written about it below. If you were a supporter of mine on Patreon, you can reach out to the platform for a refund on the month that was taken from you, and you can also contact me via E-Mail or DMs here to get access when I have my page back up.
Above all, thank you everyone for your support and shares during this weird little event.
[Image ID: A drawing of a chubby mascot character in a black, tall-eared cat kigurumi. They're equipped with a Death Stranding BB unit that has a smaller, black cat creature inside as they sprint, packages tipping and flying, crying and screaming. Behind them is a humanoid figure with a propeller-topped backpack, zooming toward them with a fixed focus.]
Hello all! I wanted to wait until I got some manner of resolution from Patreon before sharing here, in more detail, what happened as well as generally updating you all. Patreon, though, moves slow, and they look to have had some dust-ups with their payout system that probably contributed to that 1 e-mail every other day pace.
At the middle to end of March, I woke up to a slew of odd e-mails from Patreon's Data Management company, Transcend. Several requests had been made for my data, as well, unbeknownst to me, a request to delete my account and all its data. The e-mail about "my" request to delete my account either never made it to my inbox or it was deleted without my knowledge.
When I received these e-mails, I immediately reached out to Patreon to not only ask about activity on my account but to clarify that I hadn't made these requests, that my account was clearly compromised, and while I'd gone ahead and changed my password, I wanted to know what further steps I could take.
The person I spoke to, who, I'm going to be honest, I'm fairly sure was a chatbot, told me it was good I'd changed my password, and that I should go ahead and check my account activity. But uh. Patreon doesn't have a way to do that. When I replied and said as much, asking if there was a way I didn't know about, I was told, "Unfortunately, Patreon does not currently offer a feature to view past log-ins or the origin of data requests directly."
So. Thanks for that one, bud.
Amidst all of those data requests, was also a billing issue for a patreon I had never subscribed to. It attempted to charge to an expired card, luckily, but I also wanted to ensure I wasn't billed when I *did* update my card. I think this little nugget here is the likely key to What All Happened (which honestly isn't very much at all, but we'll come back to this). I was a free member/follower of this creator, but suddenly Patreon was attempting to charge me for their highest tier at over 20 USD. Interesting.
I confirmed once more with the agent I was e-mailing that these data requests didn't come from me, they weren't an authorized use of my account, and that I hadn't joined a paid tier for this creator. At no point was I informed by this agent that there was a pending request to delete my account, and all its data, that had come in with those data requests.
Despite asking, this agent never gave me information on timestamps or IP addresses associated with these requests. It feels shitty to say someone didn't do their job, but I can't help but feel like this agent dropped the ball in some pretty major ways that ultimately led to my account being deleted when that could have been completely avoided. If that agent even *was* a real person. I get the sense they weren't.
I thought the issue was settled and handled. Then, I woke up on my birthday to an e-mail whose subject line was a cheery "We've deleted your Patreon account." Luckily, I collect my Patreon payouts on the 1st, so this deletion was a day shy of making my time a lot more miserable than it could have, but it also means nearly all of my patrons were charged and then I just disappeared. Account gone. That's fucked! I don't keep a record of my patrons' contact info (lesson learned), so unfortunately all I can do is post and ask them to contact me.
I reached out to Patreon immediately and reached an agent who was, I'm again fairly sure, a chatbot. I was informed that "I" had previously disabled my account (weird language, and not the language patreon uses), and that it cannot be re-enabled, but fear not, they'd freed up the e-mail I used to make the account so I could go ahead and recreate it! Ask to get elevated. I get elevated.
But every e-mail with Patreon is staggered out by a day, at least. There's nothing speedier. Patreon is also really terrible about communicating platform hiccups and failings - you have to seek out and then subscribe to their status updates. Even if they're affecting your account, you won't otherwise be informed.
The new agent who I've since been talking to has been as helpful as they can be. The data of my account was scrubbed from their system. Even if it hadn't been and they were lying to me, reinstating that data would be a violation of GDPR, given that it would prove they aren't complying with the regulation by deleting that data on request (whether or not it was actually me who made the request).
This agent let me know that their "logs indicate that these requests originated from an IP address similar to" mine. That doesn't really mean much to me. IP addresses can be spoofed. But then they gave me the timestamp of the requests. Baby, those requests were made at a time that I was deep in dream land, guaranteed. Now listen. Sometimes. In the past. I have made tweets and posts in my sleep-aid-addled half-dream state. I was concerned that this had possibly happened here. I don't know how half-asleep Swan would have done this, realistically, given I can barely spell words coherently in this state, but it was a fear I had. This hasn't happened in over a year, but anxiety is a self-devouring thing. I checked my internet history on every browser I use. I don't have the patreon app on my phone, so that wasn't a concern. I was both not on Patreon at the given time, I wasn't on the internet at all for several hours.
I'm never going to know who made those requests. If I had to theorize, I think someone got access to my account, not realizing it was a creator account, and tried to sub to a very popular artist to get ahold of their content on my dime. I don't think the deletion was intentionally malicious. It could've been that person trying to cover their tracks. It could've been a lot of things. It could've been a fuck up on Patreon's backend, frankly, with no third party involved.
Now, in speaking to the agent, I was informed my account had been flagged and removed by Trust and Safety due to a community guideline violation, but this e-mail, too, never made it to me. If this had been the case, Patreon would have also still had my data on hand to restore my account in some form or fashion. They said this removal happened shortly before the deletion requests were made, which doesn't totally track to me given that my account was still up, functional, and receiving new supporters through the end of March. Patreon is increasingly narrow in its community guidelines. This is, in large part, because they maintain an active relationship with Paypal, who wheels and deals with Visa and Mastercard. Paypal is attractive to a lot of people because of the security and safety it provides. Even I balked at having to give SubscribeStar my credit card info directly. I don't like it. I will remake my Patreon for a variety of reasons, and one of those reasons is that the platform offers a greater sense of security to the average person than SubStar does. But Patreon's content guidelines are sometimes nebulous and will also fly out the window if they go on a takedown spree, as they've done in the past.
I'll have to approach how I distribute certain pieces differently to make sure I stay as compliant as possible.
In talking with the agent, who was as helpful as they could be, I did highlight how frustrating it is that Patreon, a company moving large amounts of financial data,  does not have a way to look at your recent account activity. I think this becomes even more concerning when you remember that Patreon is used by more than just singular persons; It's used by companies and organizations. If something goes tits up at PodcastStudio6969 and someone yanks all the funds, they have no means of seeing what IP address or device made the pull on the user-end. Welcome to your company wide investigation that you've gotta handle at the pace of Patreon's glacial speeds.
I do take issue with the fact that they couldn't give me a list of my patrons. They don't have my data anymore, but they do have the data of those supporters, so there's got to be some manner of tag there that says "hey these people were subbed to deleted account 420420". If you want me to be even pettier, I'll also point out that the high-res images I've linked to in my last few substar posts actually go to the Patreon hosted image. So those are still there, somewhere, in their system.
In a situation like this, when it's all said and done, most people, myself included, just want to be heard. The agent apologizing, without prompt, for how that first agent really boned the whole thing by not telling me about the pending deletion or how I could prevent it did a lot to balm my frustrations. It doesn't restore my account. It doesn't refund any of my supporters who paid for their membership only for the account to disappear without warning. It's a shit situation. It sucks. I don't have a prettier way to put it.
It's an unfortunate reminder how hostile the online economy is, not exclusively to artists, but to any person who isn't themselves a lawyer-toothed conglomerate. I have some strategies for moving forward, but right now, things are very one day at a time.
I've always considered myself fairly on top of my online security, but I've beefed it up even more significantly. Not in any way that I'll share, because that is not best practice, but there are a hundred online listacles and substack posts on how you can better protect yourself. That said though, even with the best protection, there are vulnerabilities.
I've had some more personal stressors outside of this that have remapped the dynamics of my home. It's just a weird time for me. I dreamt about MULEs in Death Stranding 2 having propellers on their backpacks that would allow them to slowly zoom at me from across the landscape. It's felt inappropriate, in a weird way, to post while this has all been up in the air for me, but I hope in writing this all out, it'll feel like the file's been sufficiently filled and shut. Case closed. As much as it can be. Thank you, again, for joining me here and supporting me. I'm excited to keep making art and sharing it with you all.

"Beyond the Screen: The Do’s, Don’ts, and Dangers"
Social media has evolved into a virtual platform where people share their lives, thoughts, and artistic creations in modern times. The digital landscape is incredibly powerful, offering everything from life-altering opportunities to viral trends. Beyond the screen, however, is a hidden reality that is full of obligations, dangers, and consequences. Making the most of social media while staying safe requires an understanding of its dos, don'ts, and hazards.
Understanding the dos, don'ts, and dangers of social media is essential to navigating the digital world safely and responsibly. Social media has completely changed how we connect, share, and consume information. The platform offers countless opportunities for communication, business, and education, but it also carries a number of serious risks.
The Do’s of Social Media
1.  Maintain Your Privacy
Modify your content's privacy settings on all platforms to limit who can view it. Your public information can be used by cybercriminals, so be careful what you share.
2. Think Before You Post
Consider whether you would feel at ease if this went viral before clicking "post" or "share." Your digital footprint may follow you for years because the internet never forgets. Be careful when sharing.
3.  Check Facts Like a Detective
Misinformation is pervasive. Don't trust everything you see; before sharing news or contentious posts, double-check sources, confirm assertions, and exercise critical thought.
4.  Distribute Encouragement and Support
An encouraging message, a shared success story, or a kind remark can brighten someone's day. Make use of your position to encourage others and foster a more positive online environment.
5. Taking breaks from social media
Scrolling endlessly can have an impact on mental health. To keep a healthy balance between online and offline life, set limits on screen time and schedule breaks.
The Don’ts of Social Media
1.  Avoid Cyberbullying and Online Drama.
On the Internet, negativity spreads quickly. Block, mute, or report offensive content rather than arguing. Be the answer, not a contributing factor.
2. Don’t Share Personal Information Recklessly
Don't share private information online, such as phone numbers, home addresses, or financial details. You may become vulnerable to identity theft and cyberthreats as a result.
3. Don't Believe Everything You See
A filtered reality is frequently displayed on social media. Steer clear of comparing yourself to idealized depictions because they might not accurately represent reality.
4. Don't neglect your relationships in real life.
Real-world relationships are more important than likes and comments. Get away from the computer and spend time with loved ones.
5.  Avoid clicking on every link that appears.
Not every eye-catching advertisement or viral link is reliable. Steer clear of phishing scams, dubious emails, and "too good to be true" signs. Cybercriminals are constantly searching.
The Dangers of Social Media
1.  Effects of Continuous Scrolling on Mental Health
Social media can become compulsive. Anxiety, depression, and stress can be exacerbated by comparison culture, online validation seeking, and the fear of missing out (FOMO).
2.  Threats to Cybersecurity
To gain access to personal information, hackers take advantage of public Wi-Fi, weak passwords, and unconfirmed links. These risks can be avoided by bolstering online security.
3.  False Information and Deception
Misinformation is becoming more and more prevalent, from deep fake videos to deceptive headlines. Keep yourself informed by asking questions about everything and sticking to reliable sources.
4. The Danger of Internet Predators
Not everyone on the internet is well-meaning. Never share private photos with strangers, exercise caution when conversing with them, and notify the authorities of any suspicious activity.
5. The Cost of Digital Addiction
Long periods of aimless scrolling can interfere with sleep cycles and lower productivity. To get back in control of your time, establish sensible boundaries and take up offline hobbies.
Conclusion:
Social media is a great way to connect with people, but there are risks involved. We can make the digital world a safer and better place for everyone if we use it carefully, protect our privacy, and spread positivity. Stay smart, stay kind, and always think before you click. The internet is forever, but so is the impact of your choices. Let’s use social media to inspire, connect, and create a better future, both online and offline.
Even though the internet is virtual, everything you do has an impact on the real world. "Behind every screen is a real person. Be kind. Be respectful."
How do you feel about social media awareness? Let's carry on the discussion in the comments section below! Although social media is an effective tool for connecting people, there are risks associated with it. We can make the internet a safer and better place for everyone if we use it carefully, safeguard our privacy, and spread positivity.
The effects of your decisions last forever, just like the internet. Social media is like a huge ocean, full of limitless opportunities and hidden dangers beneath the surface. Let's use it to inspire, connect, and build a better future both online and offline. You may tap into the power of technology without getting caught in its traps if you navigate it with awareness, responsibility, and kindness. Be mindful before posting, protect your privacy, and keep in mind that genuine relationships are more important than virtual ones. Together, let's make social media a positive force that helps everyone have a safer and better digital future.
Remember: "Your words have power. Use them to uplift, not to harm."

⚠️MAJOR SPOILERS for Jujutsu kaisen ⚠️
(If you’re not caught up with the JJK manga avoid this story at all costs).
Please read all the parts of this story first you can find all the chapters Here.
~ Another life 🤍 ~
⚠️WARNINGS ⚠️
angst, some sexual talk but a lot of fluffy love. 😭
———————————————————————
Y/N POV:
Me, Gojo, and Miyoko sit at our dining table as me and gojo eat our late dinner.
As Miyoko gushes about the day she had with her grandma. “- And then Grandma showed me her greenhouse and her plants, it was amazing!”. “Your grandmother does have a talent for growing beautiful flowers, I’m so happy you had a good day with your grandma”. I pat Miyoko’s head. when the kids finally arrive back from their concert.
Piling in from the back entranceway.
“Hey, kids have fun?”. “Yeah, Mom it was great!”. Tsumiki smiles.
All the usual people came in yuji, nobara, geto’s girls, and Surprisingly maki, Mai, todo, and Yuta also pile in. “Oh maki,Mai, todo, and yuta it’s been awhile”. “Hey! Mrs. Satoru!”. They all answer back in unison. “Are you all spending the night?”. Kenshi answers “We would like that if it’s okay with you mom, Dad”. I look over at Gojo and he shugs giving me the go-ahead.
“Alright, it’s okay since it’s the weekend, but all of you know the rules everyone stays out in the living room together, no staying in separate rooms”.
A bunch of “alright, Mrs. Satoru’s”. echo from the crowd of kids. All of the teens grab different varieties of snacks before they head out into the living room.
“I’m sorry you two but I have some business to take care of in my office, toru if you can please take Miyoko to bed for me”.
“No problem y/n”.
I get up and go to my office, the guilt already overcoming me as I sit in my chair. I pick up the papers Mike forced into my face earlier today.
•flashback•
“What you don’t know your man is whoring around on you behind your back”.
Mike holds up a paper shoving it in my face I hesitantly take it from him.
They’re messages from Gojo’s email to another person.
“Baby, I miss you when are you going to get some time to yourself”.
“The wife has me busy nowadays baby, it’s annoying I want nothing more than to see you”.
The messages go down the entire page. Gojo talking about leaving me and the kids and taking half of my family's money so he can disappear with this person, whoever they are. My heart aches the dates were months before the accident.
“You’re lying you-“.
“A PI found this information not me, listen
y/n I know you think all I want is for you to sell the company.
but the truth is I want YOU, I’d never cheat on you”.
•flashback over•
I set the papers down letting out a sad sigh, as I open my desk door pulling out Gojo’s laptop recovered from his car after the accident.
I know I’m wrong for snooping through Gojo’s personal laptop…, but to check the legitimacy of these emails, I have to see for myself if they’re fake or not.
My body starts to slightly shake out of anxiety, as I open the laptop and turn it on.
I feel so guilty… I’m sorry gojo, The computer turns on I try to log in on his account trying a few different passwords. I eventually got in,
Miyoko 8907? I’m surprised he made it so simple.
His Home Screen pops up and his background is a picture of me and him from when we first dated. I smile a bit, I Browse through all his documents and pictures nothing out of the ordinary.
I open his trash bin and it was Empty, I then open the web browser and went into his email. I check to see if Gojo’s email matched the email on the paper and it did.
I pull up the mailbox and check through the new emails, but nothing. If Gojo was cheating wouldn’t his lover email him by now? I mean he hasn’t had his laptop or phone in over 2 months.
He was in a coma for a while, and then only woke up for a week before he lost his memories. Unless he was just smart enough to delete everything?
Shit.. let me check his other social media, if he did cheat there has to be some kind of record of it.
I checked through everything and nothing seemed strange.
What the hell..? did Mike think he could make something like this up?! I lean back in my chair frustrated.
There is still a possibility Gojo did cheat, he was just smart enough to hide it. I’ll give this one more month, to see if Gojo might get his memories back or if they’ll message Gojo.
if not, I’ll be honest with Gojo and show him what Mike showed me.

- one week later -
“Mommy!”. I stand at the kitchen stove stirring the soup for dinner. “Yes, darling what is it?”. “When can Ichigo and Yoruichi come out of the room? I mean they went to the vet and they’re fine so can they come out now”.
“Well, we’ve been giving Kyo some space, for now, two new Kitties in his home is a lot for him to take in”. Miyoko Looks up at me sad. “But this is there house two”. “Yes, it is! But this was Kyo’s home first. he just needs to take some time to adjust to the new change he is still going up to the door and growling, so I think it’s going to take a bit more time. I promise by Monday they’ll come out”.
“Can I go and see them now please”.
“Umm-“. “I’ll take her y/n don’t worry about it just keep making dinner”. Gojo holds out his hand to Miyoko, she happily takes it waking with her to the guest room.
Gojo POV:
We both enter the guest room. “Kitties!”. Miyoko States in complete joy, running up to the bed where Ichigo and Yoruichi are lying together. She carefully jumps up and crawls over towards them petting Yoruichi’s head. “I’m surprised you didn’t name the black cat Luna Since you love Sailor Moon so much”.
“I thought about it but Yoruichi is so cool and so is Ichigo”. I go into deep thought. “How did a four-year-old like you end up watching Bleach anyway?”.
“Yuji, nobara, and Megumi were watching it out In The living room, I knew I shouldn’t be watching it. mama told me no but Yuji and Nobara thought it would be funny to let me watch it without letting Megumi know.
When he found out he got really mad and scolded them and brought me to bed”.
I laugh slightly trying to not let Miyoko see me. Those idiots. I think to myself. “Daddy?”. “Yeah, kid”. “Can I hug you?”. I open my arms. “Of course, come here”. “ she stands up on the bed walks over, and hugs me tightly around my waist. I Pat her head smiling when I feel my shirt start to get wet. “Hey- you okay?”. She looks up at me tears streaming down her eyes sniffling. “H-hey why are you crying?! Are you feeling sick or hurt?!”.
“No… I was just thinking about after you had your accident, Mommy, comforted me and told me you were gonna be okay.
But I heard Yuji and Megumi talking and they said you might not make it home-“. Her little Voice cracks as she wipes some of her tears away using her shirt. I kneel next to the side of the bed holding her shoulders In my hands. “I’m right here silly, I’m fine”. She hugs me around my neck. “I know,
I just don’t know what I would do if you left us. please don’t leave us, we need you”. She hiccups, crying the pain in her voice even making me tear up.
I pull away. “Look at me Silly”. She looks at me, as I Gently wipe away her tears using my thumbs. “I won’t leave you, I promise I’m sorry for making you worry”.
“I love you Daddy”. “ and I love you”. I hug again her rubbing her back.
We stay like that for a few moments when I pull away. “Stay here for a moment”. I get up and go into the bathroom picking up a washcloth and running it under some warm water. I head back kneeling next to the bed once again, gently cleaning Miyoko’s face. “We should go back to the kitchen your mom is probably done with dinner”.
“Okay.., could you carry me?”. “Sure kid, come here”.
I pick up Miyoko carrying her to the kitchen.
———————————————————————
All of us sit at the table casually talking, “Miyoko your birthday is coming up what would you like to do?”. y/n asks Miyoko smiles. “Can we all go to an amusement park?”. “Oh, you Don’t want a birthday party With your friends?”. “No, I just want to have fun with all of you instead”.
“Us, as well”. nobara and Yuji ask at the same time. “Of course! I would like Maki, Mai, Nanako, and Mimiko to come as well I would also like Uncle Geto to come as well if he isn’t working”.
All the teens start gushing and giving out ideas for the party. Miyoko excitedly joins the conversation. When y/n lays her head against my shoulder yawning. I whisper “Y/n you okay?”. “Yeah, I’m just tired and kinda Nauseous I don’t know why”. “You look pale maybe you should go lie down”. I gently kiss the side of her forehead. And Y/n rubs my chest. “If you don’t mind putting dinner away”. “No baby, I don’t mind go, rest”. I quickly peck y/n’s lips she hums in contentment kissing me back before she gets up waking away, presumably back to our bedroom. my eyes follow y/n’s ass. When I notice how Megumi, nobara, Yuji, and Kenshi look at me in mild disgust. “What??? Would you rather me and y/n fight?”.
“Yes-“. They all answer back in unison. “I think you and Mom are cute Dad”. tsumiki remarks. “ I do two!”. Miyoko states smiling.
I Finish up putting Miyoko to bed when I finally enter mine and y/n’s bedroom where she is on her computer with her glasses on, the little wrinkle between her eyebrows making me laugh a bit to myself.
“Y/n you should be relaxing if you’re not feeling good”. I go over to the dresser taking off my pants and stripping off my black teeshirt throwing them into the laundry basket.
“I know, I’m just looking at some ticket bundles for the amusement park this month, it looks like we can get the tickets, but it’s probably going to be a week after her birthday”.
“I’m sure Miyoko won’t mind”. I walk over to our bed laying next to y/n cuddling up to her as she continues to look at her computer. “What kind of cake should we get for her this year blue or pink?”. Y/n strokes my hair gently with her hand. “A sailor moon-themed cake?”.
“That’s a cute idea toru, I’ll contact some bakeries tomorrow. What other things can you think of that we might need? I mean it’s not a birthday venue I doubt we can set up tables”. “ I could call the amusement park, maybe they would let us take in some birthday decorations”.
Y/n nods . “ sounds good, what about Geto do you think he’ll be available? It would be nice to have a third adult to help”. “I’ll ask him, I’m sure he’ll do it for Miyoko”. y/n shuts off her computer laying it on the side table next to our bed. When she reaches over fully cuddling with me laying her head on my chest. I smirk as my hands slide down her back right to her plump ass. “Gojo, being a bit forward?”. “I can’t help the fact that your ass is always so sexy”. “Toru.. we can’t the kids are home”. I start to playfully kiss her she hums happily.
Just then our bedroom door flies open, Megumi looking at us in complete disgust. “Gross”. He turns away.
“to be fair sweetie, you did just open a door without knocking first”. We pull apart from each other, the both of us sitting up in bed. as Megumi comes up to y/n. “You forgot your phone on the counter, and Mr. Anderson is blowing it up, I tried telling him you were busy, but he insisted on talking to you. I think he’s drunk”. “Fucking hell”. Megumi hands y/n her phone. Y/n looks at her phone in anger but then looks back to Megumi smiling. “Thanks for letting me know, love you sweetheart have a good night”. “I love you two Mom.., goodnight”. Megumi leaves closing the door behind him, as anger starts to build within me. “Y/n let me talk to him”. “Toru it’s fine, I can handle it”. I look at her curiously. Why would she refuse? “Please just let me handle it this time y/n, I’m so tired of him harassing you”. “O-okay! Here”. She hands me the phone I watch as Mike's number flashes up on the screen as an incoming call. I answer the phone. “Y/n… we have you been you b-bitch”. I listen as he slurs his words. I get so pissed that I just hang up blocking his number on y/n’s phone. I hand the phone back to y/n. “Unblock him in the morning, hopefully, his drunk ass will be a little sober by then”.
“Y/n why do you keep that guy around anyways? You’re the CEO you could easily fire him”. “Yeah, you’re right I could.. but you probably don’t remember, Mr. Anderson, Mike, he was my father's best friend. Growing up Mr. Anderson was the opposite of what he is now, he was always so nice and kind.
it was only after his wife and daughter died that he became the man that you see now.
I know I should fire him and I will it’s just so sad… how alcohol, trauma, and grief Can cause people to become monsters”.
Y/N POV:
“You know y/n I’ve been curious when did we start dating and when did we get married”.
Y/n looks at me nervously. “Oh no, you want that story”. “Huh? Was it that bad?”. “No, it’s just it’s a pretty embarrassing story for me”.
“Well, I’m all ears”. Gojo opens his arms motioning me to cuddle with him again so I do.
“Well.. it all started when my father wanted to attend one of your families events in America. We had flown from Los Angeles to Chicago, my father was looking to acquire some new clients for business deals.
I was less than thrilled, I always hated corporate parties, and my father would always put me into these uncomfortable situations. -
Almost like I was an object or something not a human being. But I didn’t dare say anything to him, I just had to plaster a smile on my face like I always would. -
I sat by my father for most of the night, and by the time 11:00 a.m. rolled around, I was tired not just of the night. But of everything. I left my father for the time being, I just wanted to drink and forget as I had done many times before.
I was at the bar sitting alone drinking straight-up vodka shoots with no chaser, ugh. Just then you had sat beside me, You came onto me with the rich playboy routine and I wasn’t having it. and I kinda snapped at you”.
“wait what? You didn’t like me at first?”. “Well, I’m not going to say I don’t find you extremely attractive I did, how should I say this.. you see at that time a lot of rich playboy men were trying to use me to get to my father”.
“W-what?”. “Rich men, were trying to get on my good side, so they could marry me and take over my father's business, I thought you were another one of them. -
I can remember the first thing I ever said to you”. “Are you kidding?! do you men have any standards?! If you want money go marry my father, not me!”.
“Damn y/n that was pretty harsh”.
“You’re right I was. At that point I ran out of the bar crying gosh, I was so embarrassed I still cringe at myself to this day. -
I found myself outside crying under one of the outside tables, my head resting on my now-stained white-gloved hands. My makeup was everywhere I was a little drunk I’m sure I was a mess. -
Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was you. despite me yelling at you, you were still nice enough to follow me because I had left my purse behind. You sat beside me and we talked. The next words you said to me were”. “So why is a fine lady like you out here crying”. Gojo’s face cringes slightly at his own words I laugh.
“Hey, you were very sweet Little did I know this was your party. It was your introduction as the leader of the Satoru clan. But I didn’t know you were a Satoru and you didn’t know I was Zenin until the next morning”.
“We fucked, The first night we met”. “Yep, not just once but multiple times. We started dating right after. You met Megumi and Tsumiki pretty early on dispute the fact I was already a mother.
that didn’t turn you away surprisingly, That’s when I started to trust you a bit more.
About a month after, that so about two months into our relationship. I found out I was pregnant with Kenshi.
it was a complete surprise to me, I knew you and I were having sex fairly often, but was my fault, I wasn’t on top of things like I should’ve been when it came to my birth control. -
I was honest with you right away, but I was fully expecting you to run for hills, but to my surprise, you didn’t run away.
You told me You loved me and you proposed to me right there.
My father was not happy with how things turned out at all. But since you were the Satoru clan’s leader he learned to accept it.
Funny enough he’d never admit it to you directly but he liked you”. “Really?”. “Yeah, because you weren’t intimidated or afraid of him at all. Which was rare. You pretty much told him straight to his face. “I’m marrying your daughter if you don’t like it then cut her off I don’t care I have my own money”. Nothing like that happened, my father reluctantly agreed to the marriage. We got married about three months later and we have been ever since.
“Damn, that was pretty wild”. “Sometimes I think maybe we moved too fast, maybe we should have given our relationship more time even if I was pregnant”.
Maybe then you wouldn’t have cheated on me now. I think to myself. “I think, everything turned out perfectly if I had to do it all over again I’d do the same”. “What? Really?”. “Yeah, only because it’s you”. I glare at him. “S-shut up.. I’m not that great”. “you are perfect and beautiful”. “You’re super horny aren’t you?”. “Yes, but I’m also telling the truth two things can be right at the same time”. I kiss his face. “We can’t right now, but if you wait until Miyoko goes to school tomorrow, I’ll let you fuck me as much as you want”. “Sounds good”. We both kiss each other before we lay down to fall asleep.
