#bianca doesn't deserve this

I found out this Tik Tok a couple of minutes ago (censored out the girl for privacy reasons) and I'm BEEFING with this.

I think it's time to address something I barely talked about but that I hitted pretty much in some posts,especially the one about Hazel and Nico sibling relationship: I hate Bianca di Angelo with all my heart.

Yes,I have posted a couple of hc about her when someone asked for a Maria di Angelo/Di Angelo family hc but that's because she is part of the family. I know she is the first real and importan victim we had,and is important to Nico and his development but I hate her so much and I will never stay silent about it.

The fandom always talk about how much of a good older sister she is,but she never was and I'm going to explain why and why this Tik Tok is completely bullshit.

The start–TTC.

The fandom typical view of Bianca di Angelo is the fact that she got parentified and was Nico's only responsable figure around,and she took care of him like a mother figure.

That's bullshit.

In TTC Bianca herself revealed that while they were in the Lotus,they were visited by a lawyer a couple of times that checked on them. The lawyer as we all know was Alecto,one of Hades's most trusted servant,that made sure they were safe. In TLT Percy specified that the Lotus had a lot of staff that wes taking care of everything/everyone. And we all know how times flies faster in there,so rather than 70 years for Bianca and Nico were only a couple of months,and they didn't had the memories about their life before coming there yet. So Alecto was there to make sure they were safe,and in case something happened,and the staff could help them in whatever request they had since it's their whole deal: making sure people stay there by making the Casinò extremely appealing,while the time passed without the people realizing it. There were a lot of accomoditations too inside,other than the infinite credit cards and all of those games,so no,Bianca wasn't parentified and barely had to look out for Nico herself,since they were both safe and entertained inside there.

And,at the start of TTC,when Grover brought Percy,Thalia and Annabeth to help him taking Bianca and Nico at camp,he talks about how the Military school had different dorms for boys and girls. Alecto got them out of the Lotus and they attended the school for a little before Grover found them and started to interact with them. So again they were never truly alone for a lot of time,and Bianca and Nico couldn't see each other much because the dorms were different,they probably also had different lessons because of the age difference. He left them only to get Percy,Annabeth and Thalia to help him,after he made sure they were demigods and realizing they were powerful ones.

The first time we see them interact,Nico is yapping about his card game while Bianca is listening to him but not in an exciting way,she was more bored/annoyed. That's fine. It can get boring when someone is always talking non-stop about the same thing. I don't fault her for this.

We finally get to know them after the Manticore's attack,when they get to know they are demigods and gods and mythological beings are real. Which was exciting for Nico (wait a couple more of 230 pages-) but I'm pretty sure Bianca wasn't. That's extremely valid and probably the realest reaction to the dangers of this world. But then she said "fuck my brother,let's go with the hunters".

I know the fandom talk mostly about this scene when they are explaining why she is so controversional as a character,and I also hate it but it's not the first of my list.

Bianca herself said it was a selfish choice so she was aware of what she was doing,but Artemis and Zoë had their fault in this. I also don't vibe well with the Hunters,and Thalia is the only expection,because they are just so fucking annoying about their "man-hating" culture (the Amazons are worst than them tho-) and how Zoë treated Percy in this. Like yes girls,mans can be scumbag and male greek heroes/gods are certificated scumbag but not everyone is like this,don't stereotype every man in the world in only one fucking category. And they way they should be the rappresentation of the "aro-ace" part of the LGBT+ community is so fucked up. And I say this as an aroace myself. Anyway back to the topic-

Bianca didn't even looked back or asked herself if it was a good idea or not. Like,not even for Nico but for herself too. Thalia and Annabeth didn't straight up went to them,they took their decisions with time since it was extremely important. Bianca? Nah. Decided on the spot to abbandon her brother,fully aware he couldn't come with her,and every other romantics involvement she could have in the future. She had the same age of Percy here and didn't even know herself. That's not really a good choice,maybe in the future it could be something she could think about or wanted,but here she just went with it. She joined complete strangers,in a world she just found out being part of,who the fuck does that???

Then she went to Percy and is like "I can't be with my little brother for everything Percy. I can't take care of him forever,I want my life too". Girl be for fucking real,when did you even took care of him? They might not remember her because of the Lethe,but before the Lotus they were under their mother care. And for them the Lotus was what? 2/3 months? Where she didn't had to do almost anything because the staff took care of their needs and Alecto was there? And during the time at their school they probably barely interacted during classes? Only good thing about this conversation is the fact that Nico never heard it otherwise I would have a worst crash out (wait for BotL,that is a crash out). And of course the whole "she didn't even know if Camp was safe for Nico before joining the Hunters and left him with strangers". That's totally valid and I agree every bit with this. Most people like to think that she trusted Percy to take him there and stay with him,but they just met him and Bianca's respect for him grow during their quest. Here,he is a stranger that saved them and,until one hour ago,she thought he was a psycho. What a good trust y'all.

Bianca di Angelo was selfish for her choice and she herself know about it. She still went with it and the consequences. You can't defend that for the feeling of independence she wanted,when she barely had to look out for Nico. Hades had people for that and Grover was with them at that school. She was selfish.

Then we have the whole quest. Nico didn't even had time to settle in a little at camp that his sister was leaving for a quest. Which I hated. Bianca is inexperienced,she just got into all of this and doesn't even know how to use a weapon (like Piper at the start of HoO),let alone how to shot a target and staying alive against monsters. She should had stayed back and trained or whatever. But no,Zoë decided that she was perfect for this and it was a good way of "proving herself". She is their latinerant,fully aware of how dangerous the mythological creatures are and knew how Bianca wasn't good enough for this,but still got her on the boat while other more experienced hunters could go and be more useful. In the books Percy said she looked like she was working out so at least that's something,but her working out was only of a couple of days,probably not even 3 and Zoë still wished she could go with them. Like,why???

The thing I actually didn't like about this is Bianca attitude. She just become an hunter,without having a fucking clue of this world or how things work,and decided she apparently knew better of a Percy that was already fully familiar and into it. Girl go sit down that your delusion is stronger than mine when I overanalyze Nico's role as a prince. And that's something since 80% of my posts either talk about it or mention it.

Anyway,we got to our quest and look who is the first one to die,after doing something that shouldn't have done with all the warnings in the world? Oh look,it's Bianca. How unpredictable right? Right? And it's an extremely sad dead to–let's be fucking real now.

She knew what she was doing (again). Percy and Zoë told her to not touch anything since those "piece of junks" were still things of a god's. And even if she didn't listen to Percy because he is a man and all of that,Zoë is her boss right now so she should had listened to her. She didn't and she paid the price for it. At least she had a good brain to understand it was her fault and to fix the situation. I don't care that she died and I also don't care that Zoë died. The story goes on even without them after all. What I hated was that she died in that stupid way because she wanted to give Nico the last figure he didn't had for his collection. By doing this she showed that she "cared",maybe a little too late and it was probably the guilt about abandoning him that made her doing what she did,but her dead caused Nico half of his problems.

Yes you all: Bianca di Angelo is half of the reason Nico di Angelo,the brother that loved her dearly,is traumatized. And this piss me off,because the fandom act like Bianca and Nico were inseparable when she caused him more problem than anything else. That's why Hazel is a better sister to him and I will die on that fucking hill,no matter how many people will try to convince me otherwise. The Di Angelo siblings were never that close and Nico adoration for her was the only thing that saved their dynamic,until she decided to go with Artemis that's it.

The trauma–BotL.

This is the book that consolidated my hate for her in any possible way and without any form of redemption. I had a fucking crash our reading BotL that it wasn't even funny.

BotL started with Bianca's message (don't ask how can a ghost do that because I don't fucking know-) to Percy about Nico's whereabouts (also why Percy thought he was homeless but he wasn't). But like...you knew all of this time and didn't do shit? You know he was trying to kill himself so you could get back to live?? Was with a fucking manipulative ghost that convinced him to murder someone??? And decided to ask Percy to do the job of an older sibling or just someone that cared for him????? And the "she is dead,she can't do anything" is stupid because look at Minos,he can do the fuck he want. Bianca is Hades's daughter so the same privileges Nico has,she has too (not much for my joy but she is still his daughter and I need to acknowledge that). Doesn't matter alive or a ghost,Bianca has privileges and it's more powerful than him by default. She still didn't do shit and made Percy do the work. What a good sister isn't she? (By the end of this section I'm gonna have another crash out,trust me-)

When Nico mentioned that he couldn't summon his sister's soul to Percy I totally lost it. That's the main reason I hate her. Nico was grieving,completely alone in that Labyrinth for days and only with Minos's company (and we all know how that went),CHB rejected him for his nature and was trying to hunt down Daedalus to take his soul. His mind wasn't in a good place and it's from here that his trauma start and he lost the value of his life. Again,thank you Bianca for that. Gotta love her for that. What. The. Fucking. Hell? Girl you ok? You can search for all the independence you want but your brother is actively trying to kill himself,and murder someone for you,and you don't do shit and not even respond to his desperate cries? Were you even his older sister?? Apparently no because this is extremely fucked up from any point you see it. And that's something I will never forgive her for.

But then– then she fucking answered for Percy,not her little brother that wanted just to see her one last time,and was becoming insane for it. Not the little brother she "died" for (that's why I said it was more of a guilt thing that caring). And not the little brother she "took care of" (again,bullshit but apparently she think she did something in his growth) and believe me,I say this as an older sister to a little brother,that's not how you act if you say you are a caring sibling. And she addressed Percy first,and Nico later. She. ignored. Nico. In. Favor. Of. Talking. With. Percy. First. While. He. Was. In. Pain. In. Front. Of. Her. (Currently crying for this but I will finish this post-). And Nico? Nico was so fucking devasted for that and I don't even want to think about what he was feeling. He deserves better than Bianca as sister (W Hazel because she is the sister he deserves) because she just...doesn't fucking care? Or doesn't care enough to do something.

And the only thing she said to him is to let go of his fatal flaw otherwise it wasn't going to end up well for him,and her death wasn't Percy fault. And......That's it? Nothing else? And if I remember correctly she also asked him to not try to summor her anymore? (I could be wrong for this because I don't remember well their conversation) Seriously??? Bianca di Angelo they will never make me love you. And the bittersweet of this situation is the fact that Nico did let go of his grudge,following her instructions. And I also have issues with this because this isn't how it fucking work,and I say this as a person that hold grudges too. You will never see me in the same room with the girl that stole my barbie doll in kindergarten,no matter how many years pass. (Yes I am a very resentful person-). But Nico just let go of it so...easy? But it's Riordan fault this time because apparently he doesn't know how grudges works (if it was so easy to let go of then I wouldn't have so many people on my hate list-). But he did so because Bianca asked him to. His love for her is truly something that will be never reciprocated and it's so sad that I want to cry.

By the end of BotL Nico accepted that his older sister was dead. As compared to TTC,this book had her in only a few scenes and as a plot device (like always but at least she got an use) to let Percy know what was Nico up to. Now,you think that Nico decided to let her go after their "conversation" (that was a straight up excuse of communication) and to leave the past in the past right? Wrong.

Acceptance (or not)–TLO.

I'll start this section by puting here 2 dialogue of Chapter Seven of TLO : My math teacher gives me a lift. (Yes,those dialogues).

"Father," Nico said. "I have done as you asked."

"Took you long enough," Hades grumbled. "Your sister would've done a better job."

Nico lowered his head. If I hadn't been so mad at the little creep,I might've felt sorry for him.

This is the first one and it happens when Nico took Percy to Hades,like he asked him to do. We all know how that went down. This isn't something that I show but I have a love-hate relationship with Hades because of this chapter,and what he said here and afterwards. I remember screaming at him while reading those parts,I was ready to throw hands with him for Nico and I'm not exaggerating.

Hades here states that Bianca would have done a better job and it's so fucking hilarious,because Bianca couldn't even survive a week in this world without doing something that resulted in her death. And she had people to teach her and look after her. Then we have Nico that stayed alone in the Labyrinth,with only Minos,and it's the only demigod to do so without turning insane from it. He banished King Minos,took his title as a Ghost King,and then brought Daedalus in the Underworld. The fuck did Bianca ever do,other than causing Nico's trauma? Why does Hades favor her so much when she never pulled something like this and died pretty early in the quest? What are you smoking Hades? (i'm starting to get triggered again-).

"Let him try. He'll be weakened. And my son here, Nico—" Hades looked at him with distaste. "Well,he's not much now,I'll grant you. It would've been better if Bianca had lived. But give him four more years of training. We can hold out that long,surely. Nico will turn sixteen,as the prophecy says,and then he will make the decision that will save the world. And I will be king of the gods."

This is what almost made me throw the fucking book to the wall and close everything. I'm not joking. This whole dialogue is something else and I'm never forgiving Hades for this shit.

Again,he favored Bianca when she never showed real feats compared to Nico. Nico taught himself how to fight,and he's able to use his powers like it's a second skin for him,Bianca couldn't. Heck,she turned to Artemis because other than wanting freedom (bullshit again),she was scared of dying. A daughter of Hades is scared of dying. That's why I believe she wouldn't have be happy about finding out who her father was when she was still alive: if you are scared of death,it wouldn't be a pleasant information to find out how close you really are to it. And that's also why I believe she wouldn't have a good familiarity with her powers and be the weakest child of the Big Three (technically she is already but oh well who cares),since she would lean more on her hunter's nature anyway.

So no Hades,she wouldn't be better than Nico for being the prophecy child. She didn't even want to be a demigod. The second she heard about what was happening she decided to go with Artemis,wanting to get the hell out of this mess. Leaving her brother in the meantime. And if it was Bianca alive,and not Nico,half of the Seven would be dead before even starting HoO,and the other half stuck because they wouldn't know how to bring the statue back (if they ever got to know about the statue),before it's too late. Nico is essential in so many way that Hades doesn't even acknowledge and I'll forever will be pissed about it.

Hades is a terrible father for saying all of this to Nico,while he was still trying to win over his approval and love,and wasn't in a good place (mentally speaking). Useless to say that those lines fucked up more his self-esteem and their relationship. But it's more about Hades favoritism than Bianca herself here,really.

My main issues with Bianca are specifically in BotL (TTC isn't far behind too-),but TLO is a whole level of family drama,like,not even Zeus could cause so much shit with only a vision and those quotes.

This time it's not even Bianca that he tries to summon,but Maria. Nico wanted to know what happened to their mother and the truth about their family's past,and what happened to his memory. Of course,Hades (the other 50% of his trauma) prohibited him from summoning his mother's soul. Nico still went out of his way because he wanted to met his mother since he couldn't remember anything about her.

While he tried to,Bianca answered him. Anticlimactic isn't it? In the last book she tried to not answer his calls when she could have helped him and spared us all of the time. But no. Gotta make the little brother suffer. Anyway,she explain to him that he can't summon their mother since their father forbidden him to do so,and then the whole flashback of their past is revealed.

That's it. This is her last appearance for the next 10 books,since she got brought back in TSATS.

We all know what happened next with the rest of the book so I won't talk about it,but I would like to point out what happened between TLO and HoO. And especially what this Tik Tok it's about.

So,I can't remember if it was during TLO or BotL,but Hades hid Bianca in his palace,far away from Nico,without let him know anything while he wallowed in sadness and trauma. Another pretty fucked up thing to add to the list about this wonderful family. What do you mean you hid your daughter from the son that it's slowly loosing himself to her death? Again,the bias here is heavily showed and I fucking hate this.

And then the re-birth happened and that's just another way for Bianca to say "fuck my brother,I'm going to reincarnate and not tell him untill he found out by himself". Bianca truly know how to put more emotional damage and trauma on Nico. No one does it better than her (Hades is a close second). Again,extremely fucked up,since Nico already accepted her death one book ago. She could have at least told him about it,but no,she went anyway because she had always been selfish. And Nico? Nico that thought his older sister would finally stay,even tho she is a ghost now? I don't want to know how the hell he was feeling about this and I'm glad that I don't. But again,she adds to Nico trauma because even tho she "cared" for him,he wasn't enough to make her stay. She abandoned him a third time again (1° is she joining the Hunters,2° is her death,3° is this one) because he wasn't enough.

At least he got Hazel now,and she stayed for him and went out her way to fight and get him out of a very dangerous situation (Bianca would never). She doesn't always understand him,and they need to work on their sibling bond,but she is by far the most amazing sister Nico ever had. Because Bianca left him at the first chance she got because she didn't cared enough for him,but Hazel fought for him because she cares enough to do so.

So no,Bianca di Angelo isn't a good sister and she didn't left Nico because she loved him,and wanted him to find his place. She left him because she was selfish.

The Tik Tok is completely wrong even for the other parts because Nico was never accepted until the end of HoO,and he and Will started dating during the time-skip,that's a lot of time since she reincarnated,and he still hasn't reached peace because he will never have that. He is doing better,of course,ut all of this it's not bacause of Bianca being a "caring" sibling,it's because Nico is finally healing from the trauma she (and Hades) gave him.

Bianca di Angelo was an horrible sister and I'm not going to change my mind about any of this.

as a huge spyro year of the dragon fan i Hate the reignited trilogy they took all the charm and nostalgia out of it BUT ... spyro's walking/running animation ? they perfected that.

my favourite character exchange of all time between the hoo gang will always be this particular line from jason to nico in house of hades.

“Nico, you do choose how to live your life. You want to trust somebody? Maybe take a risk that I'm really your friend and I'll accept you. It's better than hiding”

jason doesn't say something like 'i'll make sure to prove myself to you' or 'i'll do everything I can to make sure I earn your trust' because they are empty words. especially considering that this was before jason knew about nico's past, he can't exactly do anything to make nico trust him, apart from offering support, because in the end, it was nico's choice whether to trust him or not.

yeah, some people might think jason was being 'cold' and 'shallow' for saying this, but jason genuinely MEANT well. he told nico that he's WILLING to be his friend even before he knew nico's past. this was before jason knew an OUNCE of nico's backstory. he gave some slightly harsh but brotherly advice to him.

jason didn't deliver any false promise to nico that everyone will love him no matter what and that everyone will always be kind to him in camp half blood (this strangely parallels w percy deliberately choosing to NOT promise nico that he'll keep bianca safe because percy knew that death is a possibility and didn't want to make any fake promises just because nico is a kid, percy tried his hardest to be honest with nico, that certainly caused problems of course, but we can see the pattern between how percy and jason both hated fake promises.)

also, in boo, will says “Oh, please. Nobody at Camp Half-Blood ever pushed you away. You have friends or at least, people who would like to be your friend. You pushed yourself away. If you'd get your head out of that brooding cloud of yours for once”

i know I've seen alot of people use this excerpt as consensus of saying that will is super 'tone deaf' and 'insensitive'. but can you guys see the pattern here? will came off a lot more agressive bc of his romantic feelings, but we can see how will, jason and percy were sort of 'reality checks' that nico NEEDED. he had an inferiority and victim complex (which is very justifiable and valid considering how much trauma he faced, on the contrary i thought nico was being considerably calm with everything he's been through and deserved to yell way more. I quite related to nico a lot when it comes to the personality sometimes so jason's words definitely struck a nerve for me) but nico was always drawn to honesty.

nico had some of his earlier memories washed away by the river lethe to 'protect' him from more trauma, and nico was so attached to bianca that the thought of her leaving for the hunters of artemis felt like a personal betrayal. he was made to beleive that he and his sister were safe in camp half blood, and combining that w the whole lethe thing and hades generally trying to protect the di angelo family from the gods, you can see how much nico needed honesty and not coddling. because coddling and sheltering ruined his life and took away his light.

jason saying that nico needed to take risks as it comes with the package of love and friendship, and overall giving him authenticity, telling him that heartbreak and family can coexist, causes nico to be drawn to him and genuinely have him an eye opener.

jason knew what it was like to be held with fake promises his whole life, and even mentions it as a reason as to why he made sure he kept the promises he made. because he would never turn out to be like his two faces mother beryl.

I'll always believe that jason played a huge part in nico's overall character, and his death even more so.

Let's Get Physical Pt.4

Author's note: Last chapter was angst so let's make it better 😭I recommend listening to Losin' Control by Russ. Gets a bit steamy in this one but not smut. This part is a bit longer than the other ones.

Four hours. Four hours spent watching YouTube, not paying attention to a single thing going on in the video. Four hours thinking of anything but the fact that he's balls deep in some woman that isn't you. Four hours trying to swallow the boulder sized lump in your throat. Four hours waiting for his text.

What were you supposed to do? Ignore the smell of her on him? Take his praise as if you weren't the only one to hear it that night? How could you compete?

It wasn't until 8pm that you heard from him.

Glasgow Marriott Hotel, room 38, in an hour

And just like that, like a fisherman to a siren call, you got ready. Peeling yourself off of your bed, walking into the bathroom, and stripping your clothes off. The water runs scorching in the shower, steam filling the room. You scrub every inch of you, using your matching bodywash and body scrub, and try to make yourself as desirable as possible. No one wants a girl who's plain.

After you do everything you need to in the shower, you dry off and stand in front of your closet trying to figure out what to wear.

Too flashy

Too boring

Too try hard

You eventually pick a cute dress that doesn't cover up like a saint but doesn't show too much cleavage. Desirable but not something a slut would wear. God, you're trying too much. A little clothing won't make him want you more than his job, but maybe he'll want you enough to keep you around.

This is just for homework, at least that's what you tell yourself. Just homework.

He all but shoved Bianca out of the room, not wanting to see her longer than he had too. He had already rented another room before she left and made his way to room 38. He scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed, doing what he could to get her god-awful perfume off of his skin. The hot water almost burned off the fingerprints she left behind, yet not entirely. He felt dirty. Head hanging with water cascading down his forehead, he exhaled.

He could leave. He could put up with shitty food, no Netflix, and cheap shampoo. His bills are what held him back. With you in the picture, he wanted to be able to afford dates and surprises. He knows what he wants and it's you.

You hold a place in him that he hadn't expected and wasn't sure he deserved. He'll never be able to explain to others how you first met, or what he does for a living. He won't even be able to explain to Price how he manages to afford the things he has.

What a shitty hand to be dealt.

Luckily, he's stubborn. He brought an extra pair of clothes, one without her lipstick stains on it. Yanking on the dark green jumper and trousers, he quickly leaves to go get drinks from the cafe down the street, like usual. He makes it back in time to get everything set up before you get there.

It's just for homework. You managed to convince yourself for the better part of the evening, but standing in front of the room door, the statement isn't so convincing. Was it even a good idea to come? Would this only hurt you?

Foot steps

The door jiggles open and you're greeted with a smile that almost makes you forget you aren't the only one to receive it. Almost.

"Hi hen"

"Hi", you say quietly.

He stares at you a little longer before pulling you inside. Your eyes land on the drinks and a small smile escapes your blank expression.

"Old habits die hard, hm?", you tease.

"Who would I be to not get my bird her drink?", he replies so smoothly you almost miss what he says.

Your chest tightens, the words reminding you that you're his but he isn't yours.

"Yours?", you ask, turning to him.

"I uh", he clears his throat, "so what homework do ye have?"

"Oh, right", you grab your backpack and search in it for your assignments, but they aren't there.

Fuck, how could you have forgotten them? All you payed attention to was how you looked, not remembering to grab them off your desk.

"Shit, I'm sorry, I forgot them at my dorm", you grimace, turning to walk towards the door, "We can just see eachother some other day"

He grabs your wrist and pulls you back, personal space no longer between you two.

"We could watch a movie if you'd like? Already here 'n all", He smiles, thumb stroking the inside of your wrist.

You freeze. This is a bad idea. You take a deep breath in and- fuck. Is that Bianca's perfume? You can't do this, you need to just get out of there, but you can't move. It's like you're glued to the ground you're on and his hand is burning you.

"I can still smell her", you say in an almost whisper, lip slightly quivering.

God, don't cry. Don't fucking cry.

Fuck that woman for having such obnoxious scent choices. It's fitting. He doesn't say anything, his hand dropping. His face is blank and as much as it hurts, you take that as your cue to leave. You get to the door before his brain stops lagging and he grabs you again.

"Soap please, just let me leave. This was a mista-", you plead before he cuts you off.

"I don't like doin' it", he blurts.

"What?", you look at him, baffled.

He pauses.

"Makes me feel cheap, like it's all I'm good for. I only do it as a necessity, I promise"

"Why?", you ask, not understanding.

He gently pulls you to the bed and sits you down, taking a seat beside you.

He takes a deep breath in, "I'm on disability because of the military. The pay's shit, so in order to pay my bills, I do this. I can't have a documented job, or the 'benefits' go away", he explains, grabbing your hand again before kissing it softly.

"I know I made an unspoken commitment to ye but if I stop, I won't be able to afford what I need to. It's not like I enjoy it. You push forward and kiss him before you even register you did. Barely leaving a second to spare, he cups the back of your head and pulls you in. You're the first one to pull away, lungs burning for air.

You push him back up, putting space between the two of you. He moves the headboard and pulls you onto his lap, softly gripping your throat and pulling your lips to his again. Your hands reach up to his chest, resting against the muscle beneath. Your hips push down on his in attempt to get more comfortable and a groan escapes him. You smile into the kiss and do it again, wanting to hear that again. Your lips move down to his neck and you gently suck his pulse point, light enough to not leave a mark.

"h-hen, gotta stop", he moans, trying to softly lift your head from the space between his head and shoulder.

You pull closer, the hardening in his pants motivating you further.

He pulls you back completely and gently grips your faces, panting, "can't do that just yet, gotta take ye out on a nice date first. Let me, please?", he pleads, despite his pupils being blown out and lips blushing.

he worked himself to exhaustion each summer, picking up on more quest (or forcing himself in some, for a little while), not even allowing himself to break after each loss.

for a moment, percy felt bad for forgetting, and for the next one he just wanted to cry and find his mother. he wanted to be six again and be smothered by sally in Montauk, while they were away from the hell of house that smelly gabe had made.

that couldn't be, though.

percy jackson had found you, passed out on the streets of new york, holding bags of gifts and a boque of blue roses and lilies, all of which you had gotten for him.

"no, no, no, no," he breathed, repeating the word over and over as he laid his hand on your forehead. "please... j-just—" he cut himself off when his thumb rubbed on your pulse point. "you're good, yeah?"

he left a soft kiss on your forehead, before pressing his hear over your heart, sighing when he heard it beat loudly.

the rest was the usual for a hero, his beloved one waking up to his breakdown and being convinced to date. usual stuff. happens every tuesday in your local divinity show to your favorite sweetheart. you pick it.

he celebrated every day of dating you differently, but all started with soft, gentle kisses.

though, your second month anniversary had gotten... a little heated.

"you're so beautiful," he murmured against your neck, kissing the exact vein he had rubbed to make sure you were alright two months ago. then, he left wet kisses up yor neck and jaw before kissing your mouth. "i'm so grateful for you, baby. so, so grateful."

"what do you need, sweet girl?" percy gently shifted the both of you, grabbing his stuffed penguin and turning it around, before looking at you with a grin. "we don't want to traumatize him," he said as he kissed the corner of your mouth.

there were soft giggles between the two of you, before percy took a hold of your jaw and tilted your head, kissing around your adam's apple with wet lips, gently nipping the skin with his teeth, giving you a tiny smile when you digged your nails into his shoulder, creating soft crescent moons into his skin.

"so, what was it, angel?"

"hush, your lips made me forget."

percy wiped his head out from the crook of your neck, and pressed his big smile against yours.

it was one of his favorite memories with you, one hera couldn't take away from him as well as a lot of his memories.

there were only two things he was able to keep, your name, and the soft memory of your lips.

his only two amulets against all the hardships he faced in the little time he wasn't asleep.

"you should really consider calling home," frank, of course, had called after percy when he was slipping away into the endless pit of loneliness that had grown into his chest.

green eyes met brown ones, and soon percy's eyes had the water his irises imitated.

frank stepped forward and wrapped an arm around percy's body, and then the other, hugging him tightly as he held percy through cries.

"i miss her so much," percy voice was broken and low, yet the words cut through sobs.

"i know you do."

"y-you would love her, and she would love you," percy cried harder. "i.. i'm sorry, frank."

when percy tried to pull away, frank held him tighter.

"you're okay, percy, just cry until you feel a little better."

frank's body was like a living teddy bear, warm and safe, soon percy was gripping the purple shirt as he cried in his friend's shoulder, breaking apart after months— years, of holding it together.

every day for all the months he was missing had taken form of tears, falling and falling through his cheeks, burning his skin as more and more tears fell.

huffs and puffs, sobs and tears, all fell out of percy. soon he fell to his knees, only being held together by frank.

the boys sat on the sidewalk, frank's hand gently patted percy's head, supporting him through everything.

"t-thanks, frank," percy patted the shoulder his head wasn't resting on. "usually i'm good keeping it together."

"me, hazel and that girlfriend of yours are gonna have a talk about you putting too much pressure on yourself."

"what—"

frank pulled two coins from his pocket, like a magic trick, and offered them to percy.

"call home, percy."

percy looked like a fish out of water, an o instead of a mouth as he stumbled over his words, before swallowing them and grabbing the money, to then run over to the closest phone booth.

he punched in the only number he could remember, being the one from the jackson apartment, and hoped with every bit of his soul for his mother to pick up.

"hi?"

percy wasn't expecting your voice, his stomach fell to the floor, feeling his organs creep and drool around his feet.

he opened his mouth, but then closed. once, twice, until your voice revived the line.

"anyone there? is this just some stupid prank?"

it wasn't. percy almost broke down again, gripping the phone tighter.

please, just say something, he begged himself in silence, feeling like he could pass out in a moment.

"i'm going to hang up if you don't talk soon—"

percy finally spoke up, feeling like he could cry.

"hi, baby... i miss you."

"holy shit."

percy laughed, finally hearing your voice, he just wanted you to beg you to keep talking. to never shut up.

you composed yourself, hugging tightly the blue bunny you had, tears rolling down your neck. you had to focus on him.

"'kay. percy, my love, where are you? i'll tell annabeth and we'll go get you."

"tell her to tell you about camp, and to come get me from camp jupiter."

"alright... we'll meet you there," and before he could fight you on it, you rushed to your next sentence. "i love you, percy jackson. please don't run off to where i can't find you."

A big part of the fandom doesn't deserve to have Percy as a protagonist because of how they treat him and mischaracterize them to make their own favorite characters "better", more sympathetic or more tragic. Can they stop blaming Percy for Bianca's death? No offense to her stans but what was Percy to do when SHE was the one who stole from a fucking junkyard where they were specifically warned not to touch/take anything? Plus isn't she the one who basically abandoned her brother and joined the Huntresses? Can they stop acting as if Percy is stupid when he is actually better at coming up with strategies where no one gets hurts or killed *cough*unlike a certain blonde*cough*? Can they stop excusing Annabeth for being such a shitty person to Percy and anyone interested in him romantically or platonically? Can they fucking understand that her "cute nickname" to her boyfriend "Seaweed brain" is actually an insult and not a cutesy little token of love? Can they understand that judo flipping him, punching/hitting/etc him and liking to make him anxious is what typical toxic and abusive partners do? I don't care that she was abused and neglected as a child, having been abused is an explanation never an excuse. Percy was also abused by his stepdad and yet he doesn't act like her. Also another thing (and this one might be heavily controversial but) Sally Jackson is a loving mom, she tried her best for her kid but she is not a good mom, she was selfish in her love and got herself and her kid stuck with an abusive bastard for years despite the fact that she had safer options. At this point I feel like we didn't even read the same books or that these people didn't even read the series they just watch youtube and tiktok videos that are mostly filled with misinformation and headcanons.

I know I am extremely late in my response but hopefully not 'late to your own funeral' level of late. It was partly due to health problems and back to back exams I had and partly due to my procrastination habits. Which is why now that I am considerably free, I am trying to answer all the asks in my inbox.

I absolutely agree with most of the things you have said. I myself am extremely tired of repeating the same things over and over again to the fandom but I am under no delusions that any posts debunking biased takes, character assassination headcanons and absolutely baseless assumptions will actually stop anything or even change anyone's opinions.

These posts are just for people with similar mindset to interact with something that finally meets with their pov and aren't led to feeling isolated in the fandom due to monopoly canon ships and other such topics have in fandom posts. Sort of to create a safe space cause I myself was spared of the worst of the fandom's wrath due to there already being an established anti percabeth community, small but reliable and supportive. I even had to the fortune of never receiving a single death threat, at least in this fandom, and I want to make sure that any new mutuals I have get the same experience.

For the whole Percy being blamed for no absolute reason and for completely made-up reasons for the Nico-Bianca situation, I have already made a post here.

Percy being more strategic than Annabeth was something I have stated in multiple posts but mostly here. And Rick himself did give us proof, too, both about Percy getting better grades than Annabeth and how Seaweed brain is, in fact, an insult.

I really believe that Percy and Annabeth's lack of nuanced emotional interactions, contrasting goals, and really conflicting fatal flaws all make up for a doomed relationship scenario. Percy finds himself unable to share about any of his trauma with Annabeth, and he also seems very insecure about their relationship and believes he can't live up to Annabeth's expectations or is being a bad boyfriend. Annabeth doesn't seem to be able to pick up on any of this, and without proper conversation, they are both chafing. Not to mention, Annabeth's toxic habits are not something Percy will ever address, and eventually, they will both just end up resenting each other. I had an idea about Percabeth break up and why and how it would occur, and I have posted about it here, and that's all I really want to say on that matter.

As for the Sally Jackson bit, I am actually planning on a Sally centric post. I have read so many takes on her and Percy's relationship and I am in the process of making it. Will definitely tag you in that.

Though what I will say is that, while Sally's love for Percy was very selfish, I think it was realistically rooted in her own trauma, the two way abandonment issues between both her and Percy and a mother's desperation.

Because for all the trauma Percy suffered under Gabe, you have to remember Sally suffered twice as much. She sent Percy off to boarding schools to spare him most of Gabe's influence while she suffered both physical and mental abuse throughout the six years she was with Gabe. The fact that Sally was willing put herself and Percy through the trauma of Gabe's abuse should highlight just how desperate she was to keep Percy with herself. And how despite all of Gabe's abuse he would face at home if he stayed, Percy resented Sally for sending him away to boarding school.

There's such an intricate codependency and deep-rooted trauma, maybe even generational trauma there. I really want to explore all of that cause I think Sally had very simple motivations and put herself and Percy through such complex methods to try and achieve those motivations permanently.

So yeah, there will be a post on that soon. I will tag you in that one, and there's another one I have to get to just before that. It's a Frank and Percy centric post, and I really loved that idea and I think I have most of my thoughts ready for both these posts. So expect them by the end of the week for sure.

f1 academy silly season this year is going to have a huge impact on the future of the series & women in single-seater motorsport as a whole. here’s some more information (cross-posted as a thread on my twitter, also dreamsrussell)

for some context, f1 academy is a women-only racing series that is most similar to formula 4. drivers are eligible to compete for two years; after that, they are no longer eligible because the goal is to help advance women through the junior series. 

2023 was the first season of f1 academy. 2025 will be the first year where some drivers will no longer be eligible. this year, 2023 champion marta garcía & runner up léna bühler advanced to FRECA. 

abbi pulling, both al quabasi sisters, nerea marti, bianca bustamante, jess edgar, lola lovinfosse, emely de heus, and carrie schreiner will not be eligible to compete in f1a in 2025. as far as i’m aware, none of their seats for next year have been announced. 

essentially, 2025 is the first time we’ll see how successful f1 academy can be at promoting young female drivers. where should we be looking for them to be going? 

well, FRECA and formula 3 are the most sought-after spots, though it is likely some will remain in formula 4 for another season as they hope to make a big enough mark to secure the funding necessary to race in these expensive series. 

estimates place the cost of running a single f3 season at around 1.2 million dollars, and drivers who are associated with academies can expect to have an academy fund about half of that if they’re lucky. 

another option is formula e, the electric series; nerea martí and chloe chambers were announced today to be testing for andretti later this year. 

chloe chambers was the first f1 academy 2025 driver to be announced, and the haas-backed race-winner is joining red bull racing’s ford seat for 2025. it seems like more 2024 f1a rookies are likely to stay with the series for next year, but if other stand-outs like maya weug and doriane pin can secure seats in higher series, a move up isn’t out of the picture.

because f1 academy gets relatively little media coverage compared to other junior series, we don’t know a lot about who is expected to move into some of the seats opening up; nina gademan had one of the best wild card performances of the season and seems to be a favorite for one of them.

so why does this matter? i don’t think anyone reasonable should be expecting f1 academy to erase institutional bias against women in motorsport in a single season, but it’s important that f1a makes its mark on the media and their sponsors in order to secure its place going forward. 

these girls have worked so incredibly hard, and susie wolff described on the red flags podcast this week what is already being called the f1 academy efffect; more young girls are interested in karting bc they female role models to look up to.

that's all i have to say about this for now, but basically i just want to make f1a fans and f1 fans in general aware of how pivotal this silly season for f1a is going to be, even if it doesn't get the media coverage that it deserves.

RL Story

The weekend was over. Today I had an appointment with my superiors. It was about my exam and they discussed with me where I will work again after the leave. N. was at home with our son. Tbh, I was worried. I had a bad conscience, because I left my Baby alone with Nico, especially since N. was not really well.

Yesterday he finally talked to me about all this shit (our fight) for which Bianca was responsible. On my way home I met up with B., who was still on duty, so I went to her dentist to talk to her about it. I had no intention of arguing with her; I wanted to settle this matter in peace and ask her to stop texting N.!! Her lies have driven him mad. At first he was extremely angry with me, but the last days he just wasn’t feeling well. He seemed totally depressed, I didn’t know what to do? He just didn’t want me around. At least he cleared everything with Philip and believed him that B.'s the liar!!

Anyway, back to B. & me. I was waiting for her in front of the dental office. During her break, she came out, to talk to me.

Me: Hi, B.!... You ok? 🤨

Bianca: Just a little headache, What’s the matter, A.? Why did you come here? I told you everything this morning! 🤷‍♀️

Me: Yes, but apparently you don’t understand me, so I wanted to talk to you in person. I never asked you to write N. any messages, we just talked about it, but I didn’t ask you to do it!! Anyway! You probably misunderstood me or something, but now I’m asking you to stop!!

Bianca: Come down! I just wanted to do you a favor!

Me: Excuse me? You lied to him! You told him I was going to break up with him because he’s such a fucking Dad to our son. And that he doesn't care about me and Lucas, but only about his soccer career. Just to be clear, I never said that about him, when I confided in you. You, claimed that he abandoned me & Lucas. Besides, you got Philip involved. Do you have any idea what you did with that shit?

Bianca: Listen! I had to somehow win Nico’s trust, so I said all those things. And I didn’t lie, you actually said that Philip is a better Dad than Nico. Still, I was surprised how quickly N. bought all these things from me. 🧐 But then he also told me something about you!.. You and P. kissed!

Me: That wasn’t a real kiss! Which doesn’t mean I like what Philip did. I love N.! That's why I told him!... Now I know why he went so crazy... He really thought I’d rather be with Philip than him!... However! P. & I, we are just Friends!! I understand you’re mad at him. And I’m sorry about you two, but your breakup has nothing to do with me!

Bianca: Idc about P.! He’s a fucking asshole! He doesn’t deserve a girl like me! Just so you know, even though Nico has found out that I lied about you and Philip, he still doesn’t seem to be mad at me. Hm? Strange!

Me: I don’t want a fight B.! Please stop texting N. I love him sm and our son too.

Bianca: If he stops texting me, I won’t write him back. 🤷‍♀️.... Ugh, anyway! I never want to see you, N. or P. again.... I got to get back to work.

Tbh, the last sentence I only said, because,.... I was afraid of Bianca and her twin sister Patricia. I just didn’t have the strength to argue with them. I was just hoping they’d finally leave N. and me alone. I should never have trusted B.

Just Some of my headcanons of the Di Angelo(s) in the 30's

(that honestly are pretty delusional but sometimes i just want to think of them as a happy family before the Washington DC event and the lotus casino ok??)

- Maria is the oldest sister of the 3 daughters of the marchese Stéfano Di angelo and her father little gem as the only daughter of his first "marriage" (*Cof* *cof* daughterofVenusMariadiAngelo *Cof*)

- Hades proposed and married Maria because no fucking way that he let a woman of her status being judged for having a long term relationship without a ring and even less having kids with her out of wedlock ( in fact the ring was what make that Persephone don't like Maria, she couldn't care less if only she stayed as her husband girlfriend, i may explain this in another post some day)

- Hades was there for Bianca and Nico while they grow up, living with them during the spring and summer and being always looking up for them in some way during winter , they really got to be a family, Family vacations around Europe, little and silly baking days, Nico and bianca trying to convince the house personal to helping them to spy their parents dates, that kind of things

-Alecto has been the kids babysitter and bodyguard since they were born, her job is just slay anything that it dares to try attack them, even in hades presence in order to him doesn't get distracted from the family activities

-Stéfano really loves his Son-in-law, for him is the son that he never had, he doesn't know that hades is a god, but he's concius that just like his lover he is something non human and that his grand kids are also especial like his daughter, but he doesn't seem in hades the intention of letting behind Maria like Venus do it to him, and Hades is probably the only man wealthy enough and with enough class to be of his liking for his little princess, so he isn't complaining

-And don't make him talk about his grandchilds, because you're gonna be stuck hearing him talk of them for hours, Bianca and Nico are the first since that maria is the only one of his daughters in age to have kids and he couldn't be more happy when the nurses anounced that Nico was a Boy, he may be a girls father but he really wanted a male from his blood, and sice he didn't get a son he was rejoicing for his grandson he really spoiled those little things

- Nico and bianca were homeschooled and The family end up getting the reputation of being "really hard" towards the personal tutors of Bianca and Nico, actually they just dont tolerate the bullshit of entitled people calling their kids stupid or lazy because they couldn't read right lenguajes that weren't romances or Greek... Needs to say, they fired a lot a people until they find people that really were disposed to teach the kids and not just screaming at them ,Even getting people that weren't from Italy for that because their kids only would have the best and would be treated with the respect that they deserved

- Bianca plays the piano, Nico the violin, I'm not elaborating, just trust me

- in fact their music instructors end up being zagreus and macaria, they were introduced to everyone except Maria and the kids as hades cousins because there isn't a logic and no controversial way to say that the full grown adults over there are his children

-Bianca used to have a Best friend, she lived in Switzerland so they only could see each other every once in a while when one of them was allowed to stay with the other for a time, the last thing that the girl know about bianca is that she moved to the US and then... Well, we know what happened there ( in some place in Switzerland there's and old lady that still concerned about what happened to her friend)

Why I picture the big three kids with Jason instead of Thalia

Now I have seen at least two posts which I am 90% sure I have queued for reblog where the people claim that the concept of the male little three is due to sexism. That it should be:

Percy, Thalia, Nico or

Percy, Jason, Hazel

But honestly I reject this form of fandom policing. When I got into pjo fandom and I hardly knew who Nico even was, I preferred the male little three fanarts over the ones with Thalia, and after knowing a bit more canon, my preference is solidified.

Hazel is cool, but since I haven't spent time learning about HOO, I don't care much about her or the other HOO characters. Plus, I find Nico way cooler as a Hades kid than her. His powers are awesome!

Here are my simple, non-sexist reasons for preferring Percy, Jason and Nico as my big three kids, instead of Thalia:

Character preference:

TLDR - I dislike Thalia. Neutral on Jason. Next!

Fanart Aesthetic:

I just think the boys look better together than Thalia with her cousins. One of my favourite fanarts of them is the ones where they have Ancient Greek outfits with the laurels. They are so cute! There's something about Thalia that doesn't make her fit. Not a fan of punk characters and with her hunters' get-up, she doesn't belong in my opinion. Especially as the boys get older and she's stuck as a teenager. Not my vibe.

Jason has more canon potential to complete the cousin group:

Thalia and Percy have a great relationship. But Thalia and Nico hardly interact. Plus, Nico probably wouldn't be happy being around her much due to what happened with Bianca. Jason, on the other hand, had the potential to be a great bro for Percy AND he has a good relationship with Nico. PLUS, the three of them represent the unity of the camps.

Leadership:

I like those video edits that showcase the parallels of the boys' vulnerabilities. All the boys have earned huge leadership roles, which set them apart. Thalia is a lieutenant of the hunters...but let's be real. Jason defeated a titan. Thalia was a nepo baby and got power handed to her. There is no comparison.

Plot relevance:

One of the things I hate about Thalia is her total irrelevance after book 3. She had so much buildup, interesting backstory with Annie and Luke...then she becomes Artemis' lapdog and vanishes from the dealings of the plot. Her connection to Percy and Nico feels distant because of this. She's in a different world. The boys, on the other hand, have major roles in both series and are integral to the action. Honestly, Thalia could have stayed a tree, and nothing would have changed, really.

Standing up to their fathers:

Between the two of them, Jason is the true rebel to match Nico and Percy, especially Nico. Percy doesn't really stand up to Poseidon per se, but he has been shown to make his case to Poseidon, eg. petitioning to keep Bessie alive and convincing Poseidon to fight Typhoon. Jason spent his entire life loyal to the gods...yet when he meets Zeus for the first time, he stands up for Apollo to his father with little hesitation. Not even Percy did that, and he actually knows Apollo! What has airhead Apollo done for Jason? But, like Nico, he was willing to call out his father when he saw an injustice.

Zeus has helped Thalia more than Jupiter ever helped Jason. Zeus "saved" her life and provided a guide for her. Jupiter offered up Jason as a token to Juno/Hera. Thalia spent her life cursing the gods with Luke, but she was obviously a sellout because every time she met Zeus, she was like, "Thank you, Daddy 🥰". Not faulting her for wanting parental approval, but the point still stands. Thalia is a faker and it's probably the best that she and Luke never met again. If Thalia was that important, she would have been by Percy's side in TLO demanding better for demigods. But Rick literally took her out of the climax with a dumb statue. Wasted potential.

Anyway, these are my reasons why Jason is better than Thalia and deserves his spot in my version of the little three.

Nico and Leo

One of the most popular scene between them is when Leo come back at CHB with Calypso,after months of going MIA and leaving only a letter to explain he wasn't dead,and Nico making the campers take turns to punch him.

And I know some people ara against it,because Leo had to endure being punched by literally every camper and some of those didn't even know him,and he didn't deserve it. But can we talk about how OOC is for Nico to do this?

Nico is pissed at Leo because he faked his death and made everyone worry and mourn him for days,and then during those days full of sadness a letter came and pulled a "SIKE! You didn't really think I was dead,did you?". And,given Nico relationship with this type of situation (people dying but not really and coming back later on),how much respectful he is of the deaths and how he was trying to pinpoint why it felt so strange the way that Leo died at the end of HoO,he is right to feel that way.

Nico's anger towards him during the Hidden Oracle was fine,because it's from someone that tried to understand what was going on and failed to do so,while having his sister feeling guilty about what happened with the Physician's Cure (you can't tell me that Hazel and Frank didn't felt guilty for a while),and people he know mourning someone that they later found out was alive and well. Just lost on some island with an immortal girl that they were going to free. And let's be real: it was definitely a comic relief thing for the humour,and it delivered it's job.

Nico being pissed at Leo was totally in character. What wasn't in character was him doing and starting the whole "take a ticket and get in line so we can all punch Leo for the stunt he pulled" scene in the final chapter. That too was for a comic relief but even with all the character development of the world,Nico would never do this type of shit.

First off,he and Leo aren't remotely close for Nico to pull this type of things. This is more something that Piper would do but without all the extra people punching Leo,only her. Nico and Leo talked only during the meetings on the Argo II in HoH and most of the time Leo was creeped out by Nico. It's not like they treated each other like friends: Leo shitted on him like everyone else,Jason was the one to told him to stop after the Cupid incident,while Nico tried to not stay with them (minus Hazel) most of the time he was on that ship. They are barely acquaintances. Nico would be salty at Leo and give him the cold shoulder for a bit but that's it. Riordan and the fandom needs to stop trying to push the "The Seven and Nico are very close friends" narrative because it doesn't exist,they all barely know each other.

Second,this is something that Nico would never do in general,even if it was a person he was close to like Will,Reyna,Percy or Hazel. Nico is the type of person that tries to hide his feelings most of the time (we thanks the character development that helped him to open up and go beyond this point) and he is also difficult to read,which is something that is stated by Percy in BotL and Reyna in BoO. You wouldn't know how he is feeling until he tells you. This of course exclude anger –his rage is 100% visible all the time– together with his annoyance and sometimes even guilt. But even with that,he would never do something like this,on the open with so many people. When he was angry at Percy for Bianca (uncalled for),I don't remember him making it public to everyone else to know. The campers didn't even know what happend to the ground,where he was or who his father was,since Percy decided to keep it secret. And in the Labyrinth it was only something between them,sure there were 4 other people and Annabeth got also involved,but it's something that got solved between them in the end. Because that's what Nico is: he is private and tries to resolve his own problems (read: grudges) alone even when he is with other people. Another example is Bryce. He dealt with him in a 1 v 1 even tho there were other 2 people with him. That scene with Leo was extremely anticlimactic for him.

I know it was a comic relief scene and I'm pretty sure that even with so many people pushing the "Leo didn't deserved that" agenda –which is a bit fair because bro probably had to do a lot of dangerous things off-screen to free and come back with Calypso (dude went on his own mini- Odyssey)– it served it's purpose of being funny.

The problem is that it's extremely OOC for Nico to do so. Had it been Piper (she would punch him herself but wouldn't let the others swing at him) or one of his older siblings or even a child of Ares (I can totally picture one of them starting this) then it would have been a different story. But Nico di Angelo??? I refuse to believe he started that in his right mind.

I know he had a grudge against Leo for what he did,but again –Nico would never. He would deal with it in a silent way: he would be annoyed by Leo presence for a bit because Leo acts like everything is fine,even with what he pulled and his horrible self-destructive behavior,and then explode a bit and take it out on him and how stupid he was. But this is more about the "You have no right to come back like everything is fine while everyone here mourned you for days,thinking you were dead" type of speech than Nico being worried about Leo on a personal behalf,because Nico and Leo will never be that close and they aren't friends. It's already a lot if they talk and are civil with each other,without judging the other for everything they do.

The Princesses of Sparta

In the Odessy Penelope is the princess of Sparta and has two sisters, Clytemnestra and Helen. We've all heard of Helen of Troy/Helen of Sparta from the Trojan war, most beatiful woman alive, the face that launched a thousand ships who married Menelaus and Clytemnestra married Agamemnon, who insulted Artemis and then killed their daughter in order to get good winds.

Now where am I going with this? While I feel like P!Percy deserves their sisters back.

Now who should be the sisters?

Helen compilcates things, becuase at first I wanted to say Piper but (even though I am a Valgrace shipper, espically with what we have going on with Epic!Calypso) it feels weird to have Jason dating his aunt. Which means while I think it would be cool for Reyna to be a princess (and I don't think that he and Reyna were dating before the Lost Hero?) I can't do that. (Did make another post on who Reyna and Hylla are, here.)

So who would make good princess

Rachel is Helen and Thalia is Clytemnestra.

Thalia is dealing with the fact that her little brother is her little sister's and her cousins son. Also her little sister used to be a man. And her little sister is her brother-in-law. And her cousin is her sister. And her little brother is her nephew. Thalia has given up on ever understanding her family tree now if children can just pop out nowhere with parents a year older than them.

This would complicate relationships even more but at least Jason's not kissing his aunt.

And that way Penelope's sister (Thalia) gets together with one of Penelope's spartan handmaidens (Reyna).

And since Rachel is the oracle she can't be controlled by Aphrodite's magic the same way Helen was with Paris (I always read her story as a forced abduction or at least Aphrodite using some sort of love magic on her) and that's how Apollo finds out about the reicarnations.

Also it's my personal headcannon that when Rachel gets visions of the future she also gets a vision of the persons past if they've been reincarnated.

And since Thalia joined the hunt she can't be forced into a marriage with a horrible man who will kill her daughter.

This also complicates the relationships between H!Rachel, C!Thalia and P!Percy all of whom are now siblings.

I also personally think the because he dissapeared for twenty years and left Penelope alone to fend off suitors and run a kingdom Helen and Clytemnestra don't really like Odysseus which would add even more layers to Thalia and Annabeth's relationship.

(Plus Rachel has red hair and Helen in most documents also has red or copper hair, I know that the physical stuff doesn't really matter for reincarnation but I still thought it was cool!)

Not entirely sure how the reveals are gonna happen for C!Thalia and H!Rachel, but I think Rachel's will happen pretty soon after Percy meets her, while Thalia's will happen either directly after O!Annabeth falls off the cliff or during their quest after Bianca dies and it reminds C!Thalia to much of the death of her daughter. Another inoccent woman sacrificed to soothe the wrath of a god.

Will's abandonment issues don't pair well with Nico's spontaneous dissapearances

From this au, i came up with an Idea™

so anyone who's been in any angsty fandom knows that steven universe songs always find a way to fit, and i thought, what if in this au (?) made by @ghostmisworld , after Nico went missing and came back to Will dying over him leaving without a trace, he's in the perspective of the singer of "Love Like You"?

See, Nico's disappearance was never rly noticed all too much, like this post by @thehyacinthprophecy says,

so when Nico disappeared this time, you bet he'd get all emotional over Will CARING so much, and this song would perhaps play from the moment he returns to chb till after, kinda like a cinematic scene thing, animatic idea yk blah blah, just imagine

I like to imagine that in this au, when Nico walked into camp, he saw Will sleep-deprived on a bench at the camp border, bank hunched over with his elbows on his knees, staring at the ground, waiting, and Nico was appalled when he learned that he acted such a way because he worried for Nico (if anyone here watches Epic: The Musical, I'd like to think that Will was waiting for Nico)

people tend to forget that Nico, too, lost a sibling the moment he let her out of sight. as soon as he decided to not follow the gals + grover and instead let Percy go, Bianca was doomed. Nico likely felt responsible for letting her out of her sight, too, yet we see later on that he doesn't worry so much over Reyna leaving camp or Jason and such, why? see, he was born in 1932, he probably didn't understand his abandonment issues and thought he was just hysterical, and repressed the utter terror he gets, for so long it worked to an extent. after this ordeal happened he may have realised that being "hysterical" is not so bad after all, because Will, his boy and joy Will, suffers from it too, so it's not just a "Nico being stupid Nico" thing, it's real. so maybe, just maybe, he can learn how to un-repress his feelings, his terror for those he loves and the deep affection he feels

I always thought I might be bad

although he acts all tough, Nico likely does feel guilty for stuff like getting Percy imprisoned in Hades's palace, gaslighting him when he showed up to camp jupiter, pushing away the people who tried to be friends with him and interact with him etcetera

in Nico's mind, Will's a ray of sunshine. everyone loves him, he's kind and forgiving and patient with everyone unless they truly don't deserve it (exhibit A: Octavtian) he doesn't mess up as bad as Nico once did, on multiple occasions, people never avoided him or anything, because he's just so good

I imagine Nico thinks this as Will runs around the infirmary with clipboards, bandages and everything really clutched in his arms with random hair clips the younger kids have put in his hair, and faintly glowing out of exertion, Nico adores how determined Will is to heal, rather than harm, and the colourful hair ties in his hair and band aids on his arms show how fun of a person he is with everyone, how the younger kids just love him, and so does Nico; the vision I'm having of Will is the post right above, idea by @actual-gremlin

in this verse, learn how to love now means Nico is ready to learn how to BE loved. he'll learn how to love by allowing himself to be loved, by acknowledging that Will actually deeply cares about his well being, and so he would notify Will about where he goes and when, because allowing someone to love you to the fullest is, in a way, a way to love them back

this verse pulls Nico back to the present moment, between the "when i see the way you act" verse and this, Nico wouldn't be entirely present through everyone in the camp taking turns beating him up, he'd be imagining the images I described to you, of Percy being imprisoned to Will running around. Now he looks at Will again, who now after beating him up is still staring at him, with tears still rolling down his wide searching eyes, though at a slower pace than before, memorising his face, shaken, because he thought he lost Nico, and worry he one day will lose him like he lost so so many of his siblings. i think Will would have a cup of tea in his hands and a blanket around him to recover from 2 days of lost sleep, courtesy of his siblings bringing him stuff, though he needs more time, endless time, to register that Nico is alive and well before actually falling asleep

because at the end of the day, the reason he refused to be loved so deeply, is because he can't truly love himself. in this song he reflects on pushing everyone away, and Will, for some odd reason he can't place, continued loving him above all else. he realises that he should start loving himself for who he is, let Will love him, and he'd be content, he won't hurt Will, he won't hurt himself, though of course first, he has to learn to love

The internet wrestling community are so toxic on X, FB and Insta (I don't use tiktok). I understand that you can't please everyone all the time but that goes for everything. I'm referring to the WWE.

All of the whining and complaining about The Rock. The assumption that Naomi/Liv was cancelled for him but they let Tiffany fight Candace. Nia got heat for her finisher too.

1. The Rock is building up the story we've been waiting to see unfold since he came out when Cody and Roman teamed. It's Wrestlemania season, you knew this was coming and being cryptic is actually something that a super villain would do. If he's not spelling it out it's because he wants you talking about it.

2. Here we go again - they are crying women deserve better. There's a Women's Tag Title match scheduled for Raw. The feud has been building, it makes sense to have Naomi and Bianca attacked so the Smackdown match didn't happen. It adds fuel to the fire and is called storytelling. The reason Tiffany and Candace got their match was to solidify the tag match for Elimination Chamber. Which brings me to Nia doing her finisher. She had to do it with caution. She's in street shoes with heels that can affect balance if ropes are slippery but also they are not flat like wrestling boots and can affect her feet if she goes full plummet, not to mention doing damage to Trish if landed like she did on Lyra at Queen of the Ring.

3. Moaning mid card champions are being failed because they are not in the Elimination Chamber matches or have been pinned for people to enter - Bron has a feud starting with AJ. He has had so much given to him he doesn't need more exposure. Shinsuke doesn't fit in with the world champion story at this time. Chelsea Green is entertaining as US champ but has a feud going and wouldn't have the same impact as a world champion, unless she's working like she did when in Luchador Underground. Lyra still isn't ready for world championship matches and I don't feel she should have beaten Dakota Kai but I feel they are testing her and may change their decision on her being champ because she's not had the reaction Chelsea has.

4. Slating Jimmy Uso for having a victory over Drew McIntyre. It makes sense because then Drew hates them more and gives Jimmy a much needed victory. There's a lot of hate towards the Samoan dynasty online - due to jealousy and/or racism because the fans saying this crap are mainly white men (and some women especially on X) who keep saying they miss Vince being in charge. These same people moaned about Damian Priest main eventing Smackdown. They are also complaining about lack of moves from the likes of Jey. I hate to tell you this but John Cena was called 5 Move Cena for a reason. What was Lesnar's moveset? What about Gunther? All wrestlers have a specific moveset and it's not a huge list because they go with what works well for the persona.

5. Booking. As a fan throughout the 80s and 90s I have seen how the Internet is ruining wrestling when fans bitch about booking or decide to target a wrestler with hate. It's had some advantages but remember that the WWE is a business and it works for a specific type of fan. Don't like it, then watch something else. You act like you can do better, but I guarantee your GM mode on WWE 2k24 has more than likely sucked because you don't understand that it is still a business first and foremost.

Bianca and her boyfriend of 2 years, Michael, were seen as "perfect" by bystanders. they rarely had problems or arguments, worked out their problems like adults, and always had each other's backs. others would say they were like Bonnie and Clyde without the criminal record, but Bianca couldn't hide how sexually unsatisfied she was with him.

when their relationship first started, Michael knew how to get her there. he knew all the right spots to thrust toward and all the right spots to kiss, but after their 2-year anniversary, which was 4 months ago, the way he made love to her changed. it was as if he stopped focusing on Bianca's climax and started focusing on his own, and Bianca noticed it the first night it happened.

the same day she stopped confronting him about his behavior was the same day she started denying him sex, and this caused a huge change in their relationship.

they barely spoke to each other anymore, and they didn't sleep in the same bedroom anymore either. all physical affection ceased and all the affection they experienced was calling each other pet names. they maneuvered through the house like they were roommates, and Bianca was starting to get sick of it.

how come she can't get her needs met as well? why is it that Michael can climax, but she can't? she doesn't deserve to cum like everybody else? none of it ever made sense to her.

"you talked to him about it?" Essence asked, looking up at her, as she bit down into her McChicken and Bianca nodded her head.

"i say leave him. not bein' able to pleasure ya woman and then gettin' mad when she tries to tell you what she wants you to do to her in bed is some of the most insecure and selfish bullshit i done ever heard," Essence declared, swallowing the food in her mouth, as she balled up her McChicken paper and threw it inside her McDonalds bag, "in the meantime... i say you go for somebody who knows how to give women what they need."

Bianca looked up at Essence as she took a sip of her soda, noticing the mischievous smirk on her face while Bianca chuckled, "you want me to fuck Pac so bad, it's crazy."

"listen, if anybody knows how to fuck, it's him!" Essence defended, laughing, as Bianca laughed and playfully rolled her eyes.

Bianca and Tupac were like two peas in a bod, and they had been friends for 4 years, which is how long she and Essence had been friends since all three of them were a trio. Pac was actually the one who hooked up Bianca and Michael because Michael told him he liked Bianca but didn't know how to approach her.

in Bianca's eyes, Tupac was nothing but a close friend, but in Essence's eyes, she thought the two would be a good couple.

they were both attractive, had great compatibility, and were successful Black Americans, and that's the best kind of relationship a person — specifically a black person — could have.

despite this, Tupac and Bianca continued to deny the dating allegations and suggestions, but Essence wanted the two together so badly that she'd constantly hint at Bianca to date him instead of Michael.

"does he know about this tho'?" Essence asked, placing the rest of her fries in her mouth, as Bianca shook her head "no" and balled up her hamburger wrapper before tossing it in her McDonald's bag.

"how am i supposed to tell the man who hooked me up with my boyfriend that i'm unhappy 'cause he don't fuck me good?" Bianca asked, raising a brow, as she placed her empty fry carton into her McDonald's bag, "wouldn't that be an awkward-as-hell conversation to have with a guy friend?"

"B, that's what guy friends are for: to put you on game!" Essence laughed as Bianca laughed and placed her straw into her mouth, "look, i say you talk to him about it. if anybody knows pointers on how to get or give good sex to a muh'fucka', it's him."

Bianca chuckled and swallowed the soda in her mouth before pulling away from her straw, "you right. i'ma talk to him later on, i'm supposed to be going over to his house for dinner tonight anyway."

"Pac, that's not funny!" Bianca attempted to stifle her laughter but failed miserably as she and Tupac guffawed together while they sat on his couch with glasses of red wine in their hands.

"man, i'm just tellin' you how she said it! like, yo, i kid you not, she said "fUcK yOu, TuPaC!" and like her voice was so squeaky when she said the shi—" Tupac was cut off by Bianca laughing at the way he mocked and described the woman's statement and Tupac laughed with her before continuing, "like, shorty, i told you what it was when you met me! you ain't my girl and i ain't ya nigga — we just bumpin' and grindin', ya feel me?"

"you such a man-whore that it's crazy. what the hell you be doin' to these women that got 'em actin' like that?" Bianca laughed, raising a brow, as she took a sip of her wine and Tupac smirked widely while he raised his hands in defense.

"all i'ma say is it ain't no cap in my rap, girl. you better go hear what my lyrics be sayin' 'bout me," Tupac joked, smirking smugly, as Bianca laughed and shook her head, "hol' on, that reminded me of sum'. didn't you say on the phone that you had sum' to talk to me about, Bi'Bi?"

Bianca cracked a small smile at hearing him use the nickname he created for her a few days after they met and she swallowed the wine in her mouth before speaking, "ooh, yeah, i do. it's, uh... it's about me and Michael."

"wassup? y'all still together, right?" Tupac asked, raising a brow, as Bianca nodded her head and sat her wine glass on the coffee table.

"well, according to Essence, we not," Bianca joked as she and Pac chuckled in sync, "but, we been havin' problems lately, and they ain't the average couple problems you think they are."

"lay 'em on me. i'ma be ya therapist for tonight." Tupac assured, taking a sip of his wine, as he swallowed the red substance and placed his glass on the coffee table beside Bianca's while Bianca chuckled at his statement.

"to be honest, i'on know how to say it, so i'ma just blurt it out," Bianca chuckled, clearing her throat, "Michael doesn't know how to fuck me."

Tupac raised his brows, evidently caught off guard by the problem his friend was facing, "damn, i guess i gotta' be a sex therapist for tonight instead. you, uh... you talked to him about it?"
