My biggest beef with Double Exposure breaking up max and Chloe off screen isn't even about the breakup itself. Like, yeah blah blah blah I ship pricefield whatever, but it's more like a massive red flag that this is a desperate, lazy cash grab.

Like I actually really love the stuff we've seen of the new love interest in the new game. The story itself, with max removed, seems pretty cool actually. I love the idea of a murder mystery plot where you bounce between universes where it did and didn't happen. That's a really cool idea that I would love to see a game of!

The problem is none of it feels Max Caufield. Even if you want to try and justify it by the shit max did in the last chapter of game 1, that was max time traveling to various points of her own life and then popping back up in the present of the world after her changes. Unless it turns out max is the killer, it just doesn't track the same.

It feels like they wrote an entirely separate story for a new mc and pushed Max in as an after thought. Genuinely, if they'd put a new mc in the game I'd be overjoyed for it. Like they wanted to use Max for the marketing pull but didn't want to make one ending canon or put in the work to write a story about a longstanding relationship already in progress. So they just broke em up so they can write another "new couple coming together" plot that's way easier.

Like it or not, Chloe Price is an essential element of the story of Max Caufield. Max's powers being time travel are a clear expression of her wanting to make up for her mistakes in the past, mostly around the harm she did to Chloe by abandoning her. Chloe's death is a result of max abandoning her because she wasn't there to help her friend when she was needed most. Max's devotion to saving her is based on that guilt and the fact she still loves her best friend. Sacrificing Chloe is Max admitting she can't undo the harm she did but trying to stop from hurting others. Sacrificing the bay is her saying she is WILLING to do whatever it takes to make up for her mistakes and make things right with Chloe.

Even if you wanted to do some exploring of what it means to break that kind of bond with someone, you don't do it BY HAVING THEM BREAK UP OFF SCREEN. Lazy, hack, spineless bullshit is what that is.

If you have something interesting to say with a change in direction for a character, have the confidence to stand on it. If not, then either leave it the fuck alone, or put in the work to follow the core of a story to its faithful successor.

Idk, if it really knocks folks socks off I may give it a shot but all I'm saying is this feels like a big warning sign that the team making this sequel kinda don't give a fuck.

Anyways I was gonna write a fic about this, but I was too lazy (I’m starting to notice I just draw all the fanfic ideas I have that fall through…). I MIGHT still write a one shot with this premise tho…

Basically—because I know the masses are asking…—Stan and Kyle are college aged, go to the same university, and are also childhood best friends. Stan was bitten by a radioactive drill or something and now has tool-powers, and thinks ‘I can’t put Kyle in danger blah blah blah—I have to keep this a secret!’ He, accidentally, gains unfounded popularity via his superhero escapades, but at least he’s able to be just Stan in his private life.

Unfortunately for him, Marjorine isn’t an idiot, is a supervillain, AND also close friends with both Kyle and Stan. With the help of her boyfriend (who is also her known arch-nemesis), Kenny, she plans to set them up. At first she tried to do this without the help of her secret identity, but once she overhears Kyle calling Toolshed ‘a catch’ she decides this is a case for Professor Chaos to solve.

This takes us to the present day, Kyle has been tied up for the 5th time this week, waiting for Toolshed to swoop in and save him. While an inkling of concern about why the same villain keeps kidnapping him crosses his mind, Kyle is just happy to get to chat with his ‘idol’ for a few minutes afterwards.

L for lesbian: Dianthe (she/her); Dianthe exists in a fantasy world of my own creation and is a being closely tied to plants. Flowers and other flora often sprout up along her body, but I was too lazy to draw flowers. She has a girlfriend named Jun.

G for gay: Demetrios/Dominic (he/they); Existing in a separate fantasy universe but void of any magical powers of his own, Demetrios is full of anxiety and has several major fears, the most prevalent of which is his nyctophobia, or fear of the dark. He was the first queer character I ever made and has a boyfriend named Hart.

B for bisexual: Alistor (he/him); Another fantasy character, Alistor is the son of a satyr (or at least my take on one) and an unnamed fictional species of wolf people (I was really young when I made the world Alistor comes from; don't judge too harshly). He had a tough childhood, blah blah blah, now he's a bisexual pirate with an ex-navy boyfriend and a best friend who's afraid of sailing but also has concerning levels of abandonment issues and separation anxiety.

T for trans: I felt I had to cover both transfem and transmasc individual, so this letter has two characters working together to hold it up.

Gemma (she/her): I don't have much on this character, unfortunately (which I feel terrible about. Love all you transfems out there ♡. I promise I'll make some better, more in-depth trans girlies in the future.) I do know that she has a lovely and very accepting single mother and an older sister who happens to be a lesbian. Gemma's an absolute sweetheart, though, and is straight but doesn't currently have a partner that I know of.

Archer (he/him): I think this character might've just been closeted/in denial me processing and coping with the fact that I'm trans, but... it's fine. He is from a sci-fi world, and is the righthand man to the leader of a rebellion. He generally has a pretty alt style and I love him and- (I actually have more but too many thoughts so this is what you get)

Q for queer: Margot (she/they); Margot is from the same semi-apocalyptic sci-fi world as Archer, bur her connection is not with him, but with Koa, the leader of the rebellion thing. Margot was born with a condition that is slowly paralyzing her, and her and Koa grew up orphaned in the poorer side of the cities, until basically getting kidnapped by the government and experimented on. Margot doesn't make it, in the end, but it's partially due to her death that Koa, despite being terrified, is inspired to found and lead a true rebellion.

I for intersex: Ven (he/they/any); My earlier disclaimer is especially important in this case, because Ven is not a great person and not at all a representation of intersex people- AT ALL. He (he uses primarily he/him pronouns but doesn't have an overly strict idea of gender) is Alistor's clingy friend, and... he's basically been fucked over his entire life. He's emotionally volatile, has an imcredibly low pain tolerance, and has an... interesting job. He's really not a bad person, though. He cares about his friends, and in the end he really is just trying to make the best of a bad situation.

A for aspec: Carlisle (he/him); Aspec covers a wide range of things (agender, aromantic, asexual, etc), but the character I chose is aroace. Kamryn F. Carlisle (another fantasy character, surprise surprise) was betrayed and killed by his best friend, and then revived by a sea deity. Now he's got trust issues and thinks he's a monster. Throughout the story, he does get close to the others characters, and he is genuinely caring and empathetic, no matter how much he tries to hide it, but he is both aromantic and asexual.

+ for everything else: Vesperine (pronouns depend); Vesperine is my dnd character and I absolutely love them. They are a changeling, and thus can change their appearance, and they can comfortably shift between masculine and feminine forms, their pronouns depending on which foem they are in. They're a spider-themed warlock with a scarved jerboa companion named Paul (perched on their shoulder in this drawing). Obviously, they're genderfluid and also probably not straight but I haven't defined their sexuality. (Also I just really really really wanted to draw them because I love their design, even though I forgot to pride-ify their outfit.)

he’s already kinda crazy. i mean being in a void mostly by himself (aside from being stuck with the kid that KILLED HIM) drove him to be insane enough to fight in front of papyrus while everyone basically called him a coward.

if, by some way, maybe geno leaving to the omega timeline after his timeline being picked off by error himself, he knew that he and error are the same, he would obsess over never being like error.

while obsessing over stopping whatever his fate may be, he slips further into it. geno became error because he “played with his determination” and sent himself to the antivoid. its infamous for making error and errors like him (proferror, circuit, blueberror). in an attempt to save himself, geno dooms himself to the same fate of his destructive counterpart.

maybe, in a parallel multiverse, he gets his lazy ass up and dedicates studies to ERRORS. he regards them as some other species and dedicates everything he has to figuring out what they are and, most importantly, how he can prevent himself from becoming one.

Week 3

I know that I mostly write here stuff for myself. But I cant help but ask whether it makes sense to pin the picture of my planner here. It mostly looks the same. Nothing new. If something happens, I usually just tell it in the post. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to pin here today as I didn't have much time to pay attention to the beauty of the sky.

This week I did not visit gym. I got sick and nobody knows what the diseiase is. And if there is a disease. One day my stomach hurt for the whole day. Ring-ring for the ambulance to come. After some time it arrived and all I got is a painkiller syringe (I was really happy to get it) and lots of questions. Right now I'm fine. I take some medication and follow not-so-strict diet and visit different doctors, undergo lots of procedures to find out what it was that made me hurt that bad.

This week I missed a couple of days of planned study. But I managed to catch up once I felt better. Tomorrow is the last day of my sick leave and I will return to university. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda lazy. And I have some homework to do, including analysis of an extract of a text we read on analytical reading. I hate writing that stuff. I love essays and all, but its not an essay. It is a boring, annoying work of analazyng what author ment by this, by that, what stylistic devices he uses and blah blah blah. Its boring, and texts are not THAT interesting to really enjoy analyzing it. And whenever I passed any of the analysis it was NEVER good enough, something is aaalway wrong. I know, we learn from our mistakes, but its so upsetting that even when you put your heart into it, its not good enough. At least I'm happy we don't get graded, it is ether "done/not done"

Other than that I have to translate an article in encyclopedia from English to Russian. But I'll make it. I should have done that a couple of weeks ago but I cant help but wait till the last moment.

he's 100% a fan of the "romantic" ones like orpheus and eurydice. in his mind, he's orpheus and daisy is eurydice. he's so so close to getting her back from the grave (tom) but he refuses to actually listen to her when she speaks and makes a fatal error, losing her forever as a result. he would also love the story of hephaestus (he was rejected for something he couldn't control and had to climb his way up bit by agonizing bit and even when he was finally there and he got the girl it's still not perfect because she's always with someone else and maintaining his right to exist with the rest of them is a constant struggle and forced him to become absolutely perfect in a way no one else was ever required to be. and even then he wasn't fully accepted as one of them. jay might find this relatable for some reason idk).

you are also 100% right that jay and nick sit together on the couch with their bodies definitely 100% a heterosexual distance apart jay regales nick with all the myths he knows and he thinks nick is super invested because he never looks away or stops smiling but really nick's just hearing white noise as he thinks about how pretty jay's lips look when he's happy.

I had planned at least 3 other next siblings in terms of age, a little more problematic and annoying. Also Edwin, who I plan to talk about later, but he gets along well with Lehi and Sal. And maybe at least 2 more children, very young.

On the other hand we have Berent, and Elmina, they are married, but Berent disappeared for no reason. Elmina on the other hand has Asian roots, she moved and kept her husband's mill, she is a strict woman who in her twenties had to take care of someone else's baby. (yes, I was wrong in the drawing, as she would take care of the baby earlier. Since at 50 your daughter would be a young adult (before you DON'T ask me. Yes, in this universe the daughter is the old woman of the mill, but I'm too lazy to have to explain how her relationship with aldous would work since he's semi-immortal and it would be strange if she did too. YES, WITHIN THE RUSTY LAKE CANON IT'S QUITE RARE BUT LET'S SAY THAT THEY BOTH MET WHEN THEY WERE VERY OLD)

Edwin was marked by this but the perfect motivation was to meet Elmina and for her to convince him to get closer to him, to force even more the motivation that would lead him to end his own family (neither Elmina nor Edwin "manipulated" him just for that, it happened by itself. And the woman, of course, heard voices and saw signs in vermin. MR Crow deceived Al, promising him revenge and power in exchange for doing the dirty work of eliminating innocent people, yes, there is no apology, everyone is responsible of their actions.

Edwin tried to approach Albert in absurd ways, involving work and services such as selling goods at home. I'm lazy to explain all the dynamics that these two carry. But it ends up being a toxic relationship where as Albert has no friends or partner and isolates himself from his family, he has to stick to socializing with Edwin, and the other man's crazy man begins to feel more romantic attachment.

To sum it up ends up being a disaster, both hate each other and more unpleasant things happen. Albert is a terrible person who falls into the hands of someone perhaps not worse but more abusive and manipulative who tries to deceive him with attachment only to sabotage him even more and indirectly (unknowingly) lower him, because he is also just another pawn.

In the end everyone dies, happy ending. (that was all my progress summarized, maybe one day I'll finish at least passing it to a format to upload it lol

No one. Absolutely none! So why would you let someone else's words make you doubt yourself? Why would you let someone make you feel like you can't do something? If you are GOD, if you believe you are the creator of YOUR reality, you can do ANYTHING.

IF you believe you are the creator, if you believe you are god, you are not waiting for the universe. You ARE the universe. You make things happen. You do not wait for things to happen TO YOU, you do not wait for things to be given TO YOU, you have them NOW, YOU give them to YOURSELF. NOW. for no reason other than, "I said so." or, "I wanted to." It's that simple. It has ALWAYS been that simple. Your subconscious cannot argue with you. It's like a toddler, it can't use logic, and it can't take a joke. You are the the caretaker of your subconscious. If YOU say you can do something, if YOU say you deserve it, if YOU say it's possible, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, your subconscious will believe you. In some way, some how, IT WILL COME TO PASS. It doesn't matter if SP has a girlfriend, it doesn't matter if that birthmark on your left toenail has been there since you were born, Idgaf if you're paralyzed from the waist down, IT DOES NOT MATTER. One of my VERY first manifestations was something I achieved literally by telling myself EVERY DAY AND NIGHT without fail what I wanted to happen. This was before I even knew about Law of Assumption or any "rules" to manifest. Even though I kept seeing the opposite of what I wanted, I CONTINUED to say my mantra. In fact, when I saw things progressing against what I wanted, I wouldn't acknowledge it, I wouldn't feel "defeated", I would just repeat my mantra more. I was in my head reciting a manta as if I was a priest expunging a devil from the mortal plane & I'm being dead serious.💀 What I manifested was something so nefarious I don't even think I should go into detail about it, but long story short I got what I wanted. "Karma" never ruined my life. Literally, life went on as if the situation never even occurred. So I promise you, just live your life and don't worry about what other people will think of your manifestations. ANYTHING is possible. You need no one's validation & "karma" won't even effect you UNLESS you believe in it. YOU are the one that gives these damn things power. 😭 Rant over. The deity of Jia's universe is border on obsessive with creating a story line and destiny and heroes and stuff like that and ofc it has to be perfect (bc ofc it has to be, totally not cliche or anything)

Anyways this obsession makes them interfere TOO much with Jia's universe because if the deity was never this obsessed

Jia probably would've gotten over her issues (bc she's meets someone to help her copeeee 😋😋 cougjocughcgpuccough)

But bc the deity is an unreasonable shithead, they're literally the root of every problem:

They're responsible for Jia's split soul because of how abrupt her duties were suddenly forced on her

Bc of the split soul problem, it nearly upsets the world balance that could've been very bad for the universe! (the day she had lost the plot and had a existential crisis breakdown I think I posted it here but basically on that day she was flickering between both before Lin took control)

-> the logic is rlly,,, idk nonsensical for this bc what I thought as world making is that you can't have two souls in control at once and it goes again natural laws so it nearly ficked up her world cause it AINT SUPOSE TO HAPPEN ITS NEVA SUPOSE TO HAPPENNN but moving on

So then Lin switches in place of Jia and the world balance is briefly restored YAYY 🎉 everything is fine‼️

❌ WRONG ❌

Cause now Lin went and 'broke up' (idk it wasn't rlly a break up bc she never said 'lets break up' but she kinda did go 'we aren't meant for each other 🖕' and dipped) with hb so NOW HES GOING THRU IT and the rest of her friends back at spider society are like ???? What the??? Fuck???

Lin does manage to spend a few days or more at the hq cause technically she is still Jia but just

But everyone's kinda weirded out cause she's Serious™ now and even Miguel's kinda like wattafack 🧍 plus the fact she has long white hair that spawned out of nowhere so they kinda piece some form of logic together that she's a different Jia

Anyways some time passes and one day an especially big anomaly is warned abt in Jia's (still Lin) universe which is bizarre cause they're not usually this big but it's all because of that STOOPID FUKASS deity GOING AROUND FUKIN THINGS UP and somehow created this ridiculously bad threat as a 'enemy' for the 'hero of their story' to defeat

The biggest problem with the anomaly is that while it doesn't really like, belong in Jia's universe, it doesn't belong in any OTHER universe either BECAUSE THAT DEITY BOUGHT IT UP OUTTA NOWHERE BC THEYRE PSYCHO I need to stop hating on characters that I literally made anyways

So HQ can't exactly deal with it like they usually do but they can try to offer assistance at least

Obviously for obvious (cliche) reasons CERTAIN PEOPLE are gonna be there cause yknow they still care abt Jia even tho she's changed (to Lin momentarily)

Battle occurs blah blah I'm not good with action scenes and things are looking a littttlee bleak for Lin and Co and all the sudden Lin receives a bad injury that nearly knocks her unconscious but thru her ringing ears and muted background noise she hears SOMEBODDYYY CALLING HER NAAMMEEE (god I really wonder who)

Because her state of unclarity from the Blunt Force Head Trauma makes things a little weird, the fine line between Jia and Lin also becomes a little muddled and the Jia that's been hiding behind Lin can hear his voice and it quite literally brings her out of that dark room in her mind to control again so TLDR Jia is back again instead of Lin

Reunion happens for maybe 3 minutes tops before shit hits the fan again and suddenly the deity has teared through time space fabric out of anger to speak directly to them mortal little earthlings on the ground because they're a little bitch

All because they thought Lin was the true protagonist they've been searching for all along and now 'that insolent fool' (hobie) has ruined everything (he does no wrong)'

But suddenly because the deity is in direct contact with the mortal world, they're like wait 🤨 you're not from this universe and sees other things also not from this universe and goes on a tangent about how they don't need to rebuild a 'story' anymore and can just find another 'story' to pilot (TLDR AGAIN: local deity discovers universe theft and wants to ditch this universe cause Jia's spiderman story wasn't perfect and now wants to find another universe to force to become their 'perfect story')

Obviously spider people are like 😨😨😨 UHMMM NO TF UR NOTTT so they start retreating (as they should tbh) and Jia's like helping to round up people to gtfo of her universe before some batshit deity absorbs them or smth

Atp bits of her universe is already crumbling and disintegrating because the deity is already trashing it because it's worthless and imperfect now (ngl me when art 😭😭)

So now it's the last of the people to go back thru the portals and its Jia and Hb :)) (y'all should know what's coming next)

Truthfully, Jia wants to so so badly go thru the portal to stay with the rest of them but she knows that there was the possibility of her connection with the deity of her world and her as a creation from the said deity

So she says goodbyes

Pushes him thru

And throws in her watch before it closes properly so the FUCK ASS DEITY CANT GET ANY KIND OF CONNECTION TO THE MULTIVERSE

And thus it concludes her coming of age plot because she found the proper courage to do what was right in all senses and came to terms with her spider girl identity

Even though she had so much she wanted to do with the rest of them was what she had thought while the thread of her universe on the multiverse crumbled into nothingness

ANYWAYS THE REAL CONCLUSION IS THE DEITY IS THE REAL ANOMALY THEIR OBSESSION DROVE THEM INTO AN ANOMALY AND INTERFERING WITH THE LIVING WORLD but thats kinda what happens when you've been living for centuries, you kinda go a little nuts

so I had an idea

I personally enjoy the new cookie run update. During the first part I had an idea; the second update merely fueled my interest. So what if, in an alternate universe, good ol' xylitol nova cookie absorbed the black hole? Let's say he was going back to save Xyl-Q. He already knew what a competent leader astronaut cookie was, so he believed that in sacrificing himself he would have a good follow up to continue leading the cookies in their quest to defend the cookieverse from the black hole. By building the ship as a plan-B-temporary-safe-house, he would ensure the continuation of his people. Blah blah, Xyl-Q dies, and with this devastating loss xylitol nova cookie raises his staff and (i onno how) he takes in the black hole. I don't know where I'm going with this there are several plot holes I can name off the top of my head 😦

At first this was just a fantasy, i didn't even know what the black hole looked like up close . By the second update i had enough reference pictures and information to draw it and make a below decent introduction. I don't have a good drawing app and I know my current computer/tablet is just a generally shoddy piece of tech; therefore I drew on paper

I tried to keep the staff gem but I don't think it's recognizable. Also I made it cracked because he is in his flop era. 💔

the wings were another problem that I had trouble with, mainly because this is my first time drawing and coloring crystals of any sort

the little robot things were a little confusing, and even worse to fit into the design (I forgot about them😨)

the creatures ended up being a little crushed in there. A sharp teleport is only what I could describe as people drawing lines for where an object used to be, before drawing the object in a different place. Also I turned them into critters because the black hole itself is a critter.

on the left is my first drawing of this costume. I decided to keep the shattered mask, and make only one eye visible (so I cannot draw the other😀).

am I aware that this would be a nightmare to make sprites of/animate/draw? Yea. Which is why I will keep this au in my mind where it belongs.

will I be drawing again? No probably not this so don't look forward to it. Maybe something else but don't get too hyped up (and yes it will be on paper)

And then it's like, completely ignoring what would actually make sense for the human psyche, people love doing work, but we like to choose it! Literally, volunteer work exists already under this permenant competition, if we remove it there is going to be MORE people volunteering not less.

Then there's intrinsic motivation worth IS more than external in most cases blah blah blah- on top of that the insecurity of constant competition, and this constructed financial dimension STRESSES people out (which is also bad for functioning as well as patience and the calm that would make people act their best)- what even is laziness again?

At this point I can't truly completely blame anyone for anything they do when money's involved because money is everything except the social dimension, and the social dimension- CHARITY is not a reliable or powerful instrument, not under this much stress, not to cope with everything on top of being ignored.

I think I honestly believe everyone is a kind, just and hardworking person given the right circumstance, and at the moment you have to luck into that. Of course we try to build those circumstances for ourselves throughout our lives, but that's so hard too. Progress is all we can do, especially when there are so many not in the right state of mind to join in, but progress is good, and the truth is current right wing backlash (as horrible and torturous and really prevention measures will have to better next time) is a sign of how far we've come, something something dialectic antagonism except these ideals, this kindness is universal and all zeitgeists (spelling whp???) will always circle back to it.

I think one of the many(x30) reasons that so many people drifted to the right in the past few years is the hostility that leftists have towards people who don't know absolutely everything that they personally believe they should. On places like twitter and tiktok at least (aka the two places where a lot of radicalization happens).

Whereas people on the right are practically DYING to tell you how much they know, even if it's just blatantly not true, why do you think they're so eager to respond to street interviews? They both know they won't get in too much trouble and want to yap about their ideology. They're willing to talk to neighbors, they get involved in events and provide mutual aid to those in their corner. None of the people they like are homeless, and if the people they like are lacking in funds, they're just as poor as them so they're more than happy to build villages without immediately burning them down. The stereotype(?) of the rural conservative town where everyone comes together around the church and everyone's kind so long as they all fit the mold they were taught to fit into exists for a reason, I live in one RIGHT NOW, they only let the ugly show when they think it's safe to do so or when they think you aren't paying attention (I have caught many people in my school scowling at me for seemingly no reason, I guess they can smell the queer on me idk).

They have a better sense of community while people in leftist spaces are biting each other's heads off over stupid shit that doesn't matter. The right doesn't care (unless really specific spaces) if you like a different color or something, as long as in the end you're on their side and believe what they do. If you DARE think someone can use some set of pronouns in a supposedly trans safe space, advocate for ALL disabled people and not just autistic people (the shit people say about those with npd and bpd are fucking WRETCHED and physically disabled people are ignored and have their accommodations called lazy) or, god forbid, think men deserve to be included in equality and equity and don't deserve to be murdered in the streets because a good chunk of us are fucking weird (talking about how much you wanna murder a group of people that, in your space, are largely marginalized is weird BTW. bioessentialism is bad, you sound like a nazi, blah blah blah you've heard it) you'll be called the vilest things, accused of being on the right, and be treated like these things make you just as bad as the people who think women are only good for cooking, cleaning and popping out kids.

There is no encouragement to learn, not a real one anyways, the threat of harassment isn't encouragement. Everything comes with a level of suspicion to the degree that anyone who isn't a diehard socialist is treated like an other despite having all the same values. Not in the way people say that leftists and liberals are different mind you, because they are (one is tolerant or accepting of capitalism and the other wants it abolished, for an easy example that is almost entirely universal).
