Ok but warden Pearl is so fitting. With all the decked out and two (at least?) shrieker dorbells and killing wardens for fun and dragging them on the surface I'm actually surprised that warden Pearl is not so common!

Playground AU but the children are powerful supernatural creatures that just so happen to be children the parents drop off so that the poor caretakers have to deal with.

Grian and Pearl are avian fledglings, are are always seen digging up and eating bugs from the playground. They don’t have enough feathers to fly, but just enough to glide, and their love of heights makes it a common occurrence for them to start climbing on the bookshelves and tables.

Gem and Lizzie are fae creatures, and are from different courts. Gem is from the Summer Court, while Lizzie is the heir to the Spring Court. They have this… really creeping unblinking stare that bore into your soul. They trained the small animals from the nearby forest to attack people, and have on multiple occasions, let a bear try to maul someone.

Scott is a unicorn satyr. He can create rainbows, is always photogenic, and can heal minor wounds. What’s the issue you may ask? Scott will more often than not, waltz out of the building, plop down in the soccer field and begin eating the grass. He’s also very fussy about his clothes. One time a tree branch tore his clothes, so he used his horn to set it on fire, causing a minor forest fire.

Scar and Cub are vexes and are basically the twins from the shining. Always at the end of a hallway, asking for something. They also are entirely carnivorous, so they sneak out into the forest, find the nearest wild animal (squirrel, bird, a god forsaken wolf at one point), kill it and just… eat it. Blood gets everywhere, and both use the blood and viscera as art supplies. Scar once gave Grian a bird’s head, covered in glitter, stabbed on a stick covered in a mixture of blood and paint.

Joel is an ogre. He’s also quite temperamental. He’s also egregiously strong for his age and once threw an entire desk out the window. He often gets into fights, and has difficulty controlling his strength. He has currently destroyed a window, 2 desks, 4 chairs, 1 door, 12 bathroom doors, several paintbrushes, a wall, a concrete wall, a metal and wooden baseball bat, and the monkey bars.

Skizz and Impulse are an Angel and a demon respectively. Their true forms are enough to make anyone faint or go temporarily insane, and they can control the ambient temperature around them. Their clans are at constant war with the other, despite the two of them being extremely close, and whenever their parents pick them up, the two families immediately start fighting in the parking lot.

Bdubs is a sandman. He’s able to make dreams literally materialize out of sand, and he uses this to create giant sand kaijus, tanks, dragons, monster trucks, and even a castle, all made up of sand. He also has a bad habit of sleeping in the most weirdest and convoluted places in the school. They once found him on the school’s intercom system sleeping peacefully.

Etho is a boogeyman. He is a living nightmare, able to meld into the shadows themselves and cause horrific nightmares. Unfortunately, due to his inexperience with these powers, he often just ends up tripping into someone’s shadow or unleash a torrent of spiders into the classrooms. Did I forget to mention he’s made up entirely of spiders?

Jimmy is the token human. He’s just a dude who’s entore class is made up of the supernatural. He’s well liked, but often starts or gets roped into one of his classmate’s shenanigans. He’s also chronically unlucky, causing him to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He breaks a bone at least once a year and is a regular at the nurse’s office.

This is getting long so I’ll just list off the rest: BigB is a creaking dryad, Cleo is a zombie (duh), Tango is a blazeborn, Ren is a werewolf, Martyn is an oracle, Mumbo is a vampire, Zedaph is a jabberwocky, and Doc is a… goat cyborg thing.

Fuck it.

Joel still keeps his tendencies from when he was a blazeborn in Afterlife and whenever it's raining he'll message Tango to ask him if he's inside, or if he needs someone to assist him. (Joel spent two nights in that cave, hiding from the rain. Miserable. Miserable. Tango will never feel like that if Joel has anything to say about it)

Extra: Joel still thinks he's fireproof (somewhat true, but not fully, he can still die but he can just take more of it than most people) so the hermits actually have to try to keep Joel from standing in fire and/or jumping into Lava.

(This has been in my mind for too long, it needs OUT)

Joel gives all of them heart attacks with how hell stick his hand into lava - just to show off that he can. Thing is, it still ends up making his hand sore so absolutely nobody wins.

Besides Tango, who actually can touch lava and will stick his tongue out at Joel as he does so. It's his way of showing appreciation.

obsessed with the idea that due to the flower valley wall being burnt down by joel, and the events that followed it, jimmy is afraid of fire, or more specifically he believes fire to be a root cause of their destruction, the dare to flare game with lava, the flower valley wall being burnt down, the fact that in empires and xornoth and everything- jimmy believes that fire is a bad omen to destruction and death, the prelude to the canary curse. (thats why in lim life, he knew he would be the first out, because of the fact that the bread bridge was destroyed). flash forward to double life, and jimmy is paired up with tango, a blazeborn with fire for hair. he's the reason they lost their first life and even if jimmy doesnt blame him for it he knows he wouldnt last long in this season. but when he meets tango and he feels like his world has been shifted upside down, because before fire reminded him of death and destruction, of unhappiness and eternal doom. now it reminds him of home, a sanctuary in the death game, he thinks he's finally safe from the eyes of the watchers and that perhaps, just perhaps fire could mean something more than a curse. but alas nothing ever seems to go his way as fire comes back again, messing with his life when scar comes back and burns the ranch- a physical reminder that fire will destroy everything that comes in the watcher's way of torturing jimmy. but little do they know how much the ranch and tango has affected him, when he walks up to tango who is in his rage, flaming hair and hands and everything, he knows rationally that he will get hurt, thanks to his avian heritage and his curse, but at that moment he finds himself not caring, he holds tango's hands, and even if the fire burns his own hands he finds himself not caring. because he was sick and tired of fire getting in the way of things he loved (with scott distancing him after the walls burnt down and then leaving him after he died and joel who used to be his loving and caring brother-in-law betraying him and after the grimlands explosion- forgetting him and turning into a cruel shadow of his former self)- but jimmy couldnt let that happen to him and tango's relationship. he wanted to break the phoenix's cycle, burning up and then reincarnating to lose a small part of himself. he couldnt let that happen and so when jimmy took tango's hands into his own, he wanted to change the watcher's plans, and to pay for that he died again, sooner than expected- but to him it didnt matter anymore, because he finally had someone who would be there for him. his relationship with fire was still shaky, not trusting it completely, but he knew he could trust tango, and he knew that he wouldnt hurt him or leave him be- and even when they returned to empires and jimmy was faced with the cruel remarks of the other emperors and their meaningless insults, he longed to be with tango, to be with his fire. sure he may not be doing the best on empires, but he had someone to live for, someone who would help him break free from the cold clasps of the watchers, and thats what mattered. no amount of fire would break this bond, for it was forged in the brightest flames of love and understanding.

i skipped day 2 bc .. i got lazy sorry yalls. anyways i played around w colours and blending modes for this one a lot lols , im not a 100 percent satusfied w it but it looks pretty good, may experiment more another time. i’ve always wanted to make very luminous art w a buncha saturated colours, so yea hehe

i always make descriptions for my drawings but i actually dont have any for this one 🧍🏻‍♀️ its joel in red stuff (blood supposedly) and yeah .. im not good at this man 😭 oh dammit i shouldve done the streaks in his hair red, bc yknow red life and stuff but eh whats done is done

📧 Day 115 -

Characters - Etho/Tango Words - 557 Time - 30 mins Content - Hermitcraft

At the two minute mark, barely enough time to put his shulker down, Tango is knocked off his feet. A strong gust of wind hits him hard, pushing him away from his shulker. Then another and another, making him stumble on his feet away from his tools and redstone. 

His fiery hair burns, smoke clouding his vision as he is pushed around. Eventually, he stops, colliding against something firm. He hangs onto whatever he can grab, head spinning. 

Something holds him tight, steadying him. 

“Break time!” 

Tango looks up, the smoke from his agitated fire mixing into the cloud of a white collar. That tells him all he needs to know; damn Etho. 

“You are unbelievable,” he huffs, pushing himself onto his feet. He smirks, pushing Etho’s shoulder as his eyes crinkle. “I just got here, let me work.”

“Nooooo,” Etho whines, the ends of it breaking into coughed laughs. 

Tango rolls his eyes, swatting his reaching hands again. He turns on his heels, his tail whipping the side of Etho’s leg in retaliation. Still, he only takes two steps away before having to jump back, an airy explosion breaking in front of his feet. 

He spins, glaring as Etho hides his hands behind his back. He looks away, rocking on his heels, playing innocent even though Tango can clearly see the missing piece in his collar. There are wisps melting into the air from his clothes and hair.

“Break time,” Etho sing-songs again, leaning forward to get closer. Though Tango cannot see it, he knows there is a mischievous smirk under that mask. “Come on, Tango. You need to stop being cooped up in your holes.”

“I just got here!” He argues, trying hard to not break into an ironic laugh. 

Etho, however, sees through it, floating closer. 

And Tango’s mistake is letting him get too close, because in a blink, Etho holds his arm firmly, pulling him forward. Again, he tumbles, crashing into Etho’s chest. He winces when his tail whips the back of his leg from the jolt. 

“Sorry,” Etho whispers, but Tango only huffs. 

He tries to pull free, itching to work on redstone, but Etho seems insistent in keeping him away from it. In the back of his mind he questions when Etho got so strong, though seeing him wrangle Joel should have been his first clue. 

So a struggle or two after, Tango ends up on top of Etho’s chest, limp and without the energy to fight him. Etho is laying down, floating above the floor with a cloud under him. Tango throws a hand over, letting it run through his fingers. The cloud is cool to his warmth, much like Etho is. 

“Ah, nap time,” Etho hums, throwing his left hand around Tango’s back, his right arm behind his head. He inhales and sighs, closing his eyes as Tango headbutts his chest. “I’ll wake you up in ten minutes, I swear.”

“Uh-huh.” Tango rolls his eyes, lightly pushing up to make himself comfortable, accepting his fate. He lays his cheek on his peck, an arm snaking up beside his head and the other dropped down him. 

“Ten minutes,” Etho repeats, that slightly sharp and crisp tone that lets him know he is absolutely lying. 

And they both know. 

Still, as he dozes off, Tango wraps his tail around Etho’s leg.

Moss Man (Bdoubleo100) - I can see him being like a glare, short and loves moss

Convex part 1 (Cubfan135) - Vex on Hermitcraft but I headcanon him being a warden on Empires cuz of the shulk thing that happened

Goat Man (Docm77) - Creeper, Goat, and Robot without any humans parts, he has horns, front legs, and ears of a goat. I headcanon him having the back legs of a Creeper cuz Creepers have four feet. Half of his face along with half his torso and one arm being part robot, along with on of his horns and on his back legs, the right foot is robotic

A Canadian with secrets (Ethoslab) - Mostly human but on rare occasions I make him a winter fox, mostly just for season 9, but other than that he’s human

One of the more stable Hermits (FalseSymmetry) - Part eagle having the wings, sometimes I’ll have her have eagle legs or human legs but I prefer just the human legs most times

Girlboss Canadian with 3 dads, Geminislay (Geminitay) - Deer mostly but in the Life Series I headcanon her to be a bull, mostly cuz of Wild Life and I feel like she would be cooler like that. I’ll also sometimes have bull Gem when she’s not on Hermitcraft just to be silly

Out of Context Deserted Hippie, Convex Part 2 (GoodTimesWithScar) - Vex for the most part but during Life Series I feel like he would just be human, but specifically for Double Life I feel like he would be part Jellie Cat, have four legs just like a cat, like a human-cat-centaur thing

Deserted lore parrot (Grian) - 100% a parrot at all times but because of the watcher thing he is able to make his wings and head wings purple

Silly guy (Hypnotizd) - Human for the most part but sometimes I’ll give him a tail bc I think it looks nice

A Guy and his Puppet Boy (JoeHills) - I headcanon there are two joes, the human one, H!Joe, and the puppet one, P!Joe. P!Joe is alive bc Xisuma messed with his coding one day bc Xisuma wanted to see if he could make animate things come alive. Unfortunately, P!Joe is only alive in Hermitcraft since that was the only place Xisuma messed with his code at. P!Joe did go to Empires SMP with H!Joe but he was just hanging in H!Joe’s backpack the whole time. So you could imagine the empires members’s reaction when P!Joe suddenly ran up to them and hugged Shelby’s leg.

Hermitcraft: We have the Beef (VintageBeef) - I don’t know much about him but I know him enough that I feel like he would be a bull 100%

Thought it was xP at first (xBCrafted) - Don’t watch him as often but I love him being a guardian and it lives in my head rent free

Looks like could you, is a cinnamon roll (Xisumavoid) - I mostly see him being a dragon, maybe an enderdragon. But I love Axolotl Xisuma too but I feel like Axolotl Xisuma would be a different person to Xisuma like Evil X along with Bee Xisuma. So I feel like there would be Xisuma, Evil X, Beesuma, and Axosuma would all either be different AUs or Siblings, I like the siblings aspect but it changes for me.

This is Doc's journal. He's keeping track of everything he knows about everyone. What they're good at, what they're not good at, can he help them with that? As to why his name is marked ??, it's been so long he doesn't remember. Some of them have their real names marked down because he already knew them before the apocalypse, some of them are because he heard them screamed when their loved ones thought they were dead. He won't talk about those. Not talking about his patients helps him cope with the ones that have died.

Author's notes: I'm not saying empathy is inherently bad, just that those people have trouble killing things because of it. And Doc having low empathy both as a positive and a negative is for that same reason. He has no trouble killing, but he has trouble reassuring his patients.

Pearl is aromantic. She just doesn't have a word for it. That's what the 'Pearl has expressed disinterest in romance' comment is referencing.

Anything on Doc's profile in blue is because he refused to write it himself and someone else put it in. Likely Cl- Stitches.

Anyone without a reason for their name is just that. They don't really have one, or at least, not one anyone remembers.

Okay I submitted a different idea a few days ago but part of it involved origins and I want to expand upon that idea

3rd life but everyone has an origin, they don’t all have the same origins but they don’t get to pick they get fandom assigned origins

Grian is a parrot, a pesky bird, the others are envious of him actually getting to fly this season

Scott is a vampire because this is inspired by afterlife and I liked vampire Scott

Mumbo is also a vampire because the fandom likes making him a vampire. He has to team up with Scott because of this

Joel is either a giant to play into his ego or an inchling to humble him into accepting he’s short

Jimmy is a cat because I liked cat Jimmy and if it’s the same mod he can’t break any blocks which I think is hilarious scar is also a cat because I feel like it suits him. They aren’t allowed to team up

Skizz is an angel and Impulse is a demon, they team up anyway because they’re like that

Cleo is a zombie for obvious reasons

Tango is a blazeborn because that seems like one of his more commonly accepted fandom assigned species

Bigb is a cookie born cus I feel like it suits him

Lizzie is an axolotl because no one has gotten over empires season 1

Gem is a butterfly and Pearl is a moth they’re best friends

Ren is a werewolf

Bdubs is an inchling cus he’s short

Martyn is an iceologer cus I liked icologer Martyn there are no mods other than the origins mod so he replaced the colins with goats

Honestly I would do anything to get Freezer Phil aka Philzer back.

When they finally managed to put out the mansion, Jimmy slipped away from the others, finding a quiet spot to hide away. He just needed a moment to breathe. He'd been struggling ever since he'd first seen Tango with Etho, Skizz and Impulse.

He'd never felt anything like this before, like a part of him was missing, broken off, stolen. He saw Tango laughing with his friends, and his heart ached. He had once made Tango laugh like that. He had once been the person Tango relied on. Now, he watched his soulmate, his Rancher, with the others, and it was like he didn't even care, or didn't remember. He hadn't even reacted when Jimmy had called him, "Rancher".

He wondered whether Joel felt the same way watching Etho. He didn't think so - Joel had barely stopped laughing since he'd found him, except to rage about the mansion being set on fire, of course. Besides, Joel wouldn't even remember Double Life.

He sat at the top of a hill in the south-east corner of the world, watching the sun rise beyond the border. He was grateful everyone seemed to want to base close together this season; it left plenty of free space to hide away.

He hated this. He hated being one of only three people who ever remembered each season. He hated Grian for forcing this on him. He hated the Watchers for forcing it on Grian. More than anything, he hated himself for not being able to do anything but whine about it. Grian was his brother, he should have been able to help him, but there was nothing he could do.

He wondered if Pearl felt anything, watching Scott with Martyn. Was there any part of her that missed him, even though they'd done nothing but fight the whole time they were soulbound? She couldn't remember Last Life, he knew, but did some part of her long for it anyhow? He wished he could speak with her about it, but she would probably just call him silly. No one else pined after their alliances from previous seasons, after all. It was just him that was so pathetic that he longed for the first person to be genuinely gentle with him.

That didn't make it any easier, after all. It didn't make him long any less. It didn't make Tango suddenly mean nothing to him.

He missed him.

That was the plain and simple truth of it. He missed Tango. Void, he missed him so damn much it hurt.

He sighed and dropped his face into his hands, fighting back tears. He was completely alone, but he still couldn't bring himself to feel it all, not so strongly, not all the way.

He just had to move on. It was that easy. He just had to let the Bad Boys be his new people, and he had to let Team TIES be Tango's new people, and he had to leave it at that.

He could do that.

Jimmy took a deep breath and leaned back slightly, turning his attention back to the brightening horizon. A breeze ruffled his hair.

The pain lessened, just slightly.

"Jimmy?"

The pain came back full force, and he froze.

No. No, he couldn't be here. Not now, not when he'd committed to letting him go.

Jimmy didn't turn. He didn't say anything.

After a moment's hesitation, Tango sat down beside him. Jimmy didn't move. He didn't look at him.

"Wow, what a view." Tango's heart clearly wasn't in the observation, though.

Silence was Jimmy's only response.

Tango apparently decided that beating about the bush was overrated. "Are you upset with me?"

Jimmy closed his eyes so he wouldn't have to look at him. "No." That was true, at least. He was upset about Tango, not with him.

The blazeborn let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, good. I would hate for you to be mad at me. I don't know how I'd do this without my Rancher."

Jimmy was so surprised that he snapped his eyes open and his head around to face him. "What?"

He was met with a smirk that he'd learnt to adore. "What, you didn't think I'd forgotten, had you?"

He remembered. He remembered! Jimmy could have cried with joy! Tango remembered him!

But Jimmy didn't cry. Instead, he let out a loud, jubilant laugh and launched himself at his Rancher, throwing his arms around Tango's neck. The pair fell to the ground, both laughing, clinging to each other. Jimmy buried his face in Tango's neck, holding on like Tango might disappear the moment he let go.

"You really did think I forgot, didn't you," Tango realised, and held him closer.

"I thought I lost you." Jimmy's voice was muffled by Tango's shirt collar.

Tango huffed a small laugh, running his hands through Jimmy's hair. "We're in this together, buddy. Even if we're on different teams, you'll always be my Rancher."

This was what Jimmy had been missing. Two whole seasons, he'd searched for this. For something who cared for him no matter what, in thick or thin, even across lifetimes. Tango was... exactly what he needed. Exactly what he wanted.

Jimmy sighed, his breath shaky. He was going to be okay.

Whatever happened this season, he was going to be okay. He could face whatever with his Rancher by his side.

They were going to be okay.
