Last night, I tried to paint a jellyfish with my watercolor paints. It was fun. I'm still getting used to the way the paint just does things on the paper, but that's a big part of the fun. I'm starting to feel a little more comfortable using this kind of paint. Next, I need to try to paint a bird or a butterfly. I think that would be a fun challenge. 😁😍

One of my favourite birds to photograph is the Belted Kingfisher, and I'm pretty sure it's because they're rocking that wild, spiky hairdo that makes them the punk rockstars of the pond. 🤟Or maybe it's because they're challenging to capture; they are notoriously skittish. However, when you manage to get a decent shot of one, the effort is well worth it! 🙌 ...

I was asked by a dear friend @toothandtale to try and make a dagger important for his story that's currently in the making! The main description was a hummingbird engraved in an iridescent blade.

In my first attempt I went for a more forest like look with the wooden handle. I could not figure out how to do the engraving before, and since I was already postponing the project so much, I wanted to give him at least something before trying my luck next time, accepting the fact this is not really what he wanted.

With the new one I went for a more metallic, harsher look. Still can't figure out the engraving tho lol.

It's hard to see inside someone's head and make something good while also matching their vision. I know this is not really how the dagger looks in your head brother but I hope it made you at least happy.

Also super thanks to my pal @gracefallingart who's always supporting my ass and helping me throughout the way, what would I even do without you bish 🖤🖤🖤

I decided to try to paint with watercolors. This is my first attempt. It took me 15 minutes. It's an interesting medium. The paint seems to have a mind of its own. 😉😁🤣 As you can see, I'm still trying to figure out how to guide it to where I want it to be. I know that I need to shade the lemon more, but I'm afraid of screwing it up so I left it as it is. It's very basic, but I'm learning the basics so I think that's okay for now. After my first attempt, I have decided that I like watercolors. I'm gonna keep trying to get it right. It's a lot of fun!!
